In ep.233, Zeus says, "Is it so wrong for me not to want to be in the bad guy position anymore?" To which Hades response with "News flash, you're still the bad guy." Which got me thinking, how much worse is Zeus than Hades? Both cheat on their partners. You might say that "Zeus burnt Demeter's crops since she didn't keep on of his mistress at her house." To that, I have two counter points. One, because of Hades stupid volcanoes Demeter can't be Queen. This Meaning, she doesn't have control of a place that can not be sustained if not for her. Cause more problems than just burning down her crops once. But that's not a perfect comparison. Nothing that I can think of is. Do you know one thing that Hades does that Zeus does not? Own slaves. I'd argue that owning slaves is worse than burning down some crops once. But what about Persephone's punishment? While harsh, Persephone did kill an entire village, and that was hidden. Do you know what else is harsh? Tearing out someone's eye and beating them to an inch of their life. Man, he must have done something really bad. Nope, he just took a picture. He wasn't even responsible for the headlines, just the picture. What I think is the final nail in the coffin is that Zeus recognizes that it has done bad and wants to be better. Hades won't even recognize that he was done wrong.

i swear to god every character who SHOULD be taking accountability for their actions (including the creator herself) are just like:

You wanna know another great example of Hades being just as awful (if not worse) than Zeus but refusing to face it?

This is Hades yelling at his about "loyalty" when he slept with that very same brother's own wife for centuries. And of course, there's the added bonus where he says Zeus can't just "replace" Persephone as if Persephone herself isn't just a replacement for his own mother who Persephone resembles to a T.

Not like Hades ever emotionally cheated on Minthe or put her in an unsafe financially abusive situation.

Not like Hades dropped Minthe as soon as he found a good "replacement" for her.

Not like Hades wasn't involved in an affair that went on for CENTURIES that he justified as "well Zeus couldn't understaaaaand her like I coouuuulllddddd..."

Hades never, ever looks inwards. He can't be the problem, no, he's just a misunderstood goth husband who wants to cherish his pink cinnamon roll wife and his cutesy wutesy dogs. It's everyone else with the problem. Everyone else who's wrong.
