Question¿

How important is the choice of culture?

I haven't done any progress in Under the Devil's Moon because I'm unsure as to wich culture choose-

My culture isn't in the list and I don't know much about the ones from my neighbor countries,, obviously you can't just add every single culture from every single country--

But I'm still unsure to choose one,, if it's just to add flavor and such then there's no problem, but if it's important to how the story develops, I would need to think more about it¿

English isn't my main language, so sorry if anything I said sounds off or anything¿

Also my culture is Chilean, the country right next to Argentina

As I've mentioned before, it's flavor text. In this first chapter, it'll change some words, imply your character has that accent, and if you choose the family option, your sister's name will change (ex: Liliana vs Lilya vs Lily). Also, your character is an immigrant, so they may be unfamiliar with some aspects of American culture or sayings.

In later chapters, I'd have little scenes where you might describe your country to Rocky, or bond with Marius, Eveline and Viktor over being fairly "recent" immigrants and still having trouble settling in. These wouldn't be like ... huge changes, and there's no major story or plot points that hinge on your culture. There's already so many countries, I'd go insane over that many changes, omg.

If you'd prefer your character to be American, which is probably the "neutral" option - just choose Southern, Midwestern, East Coast, and Western. Those are regions of the US and don't change much at all (except Southern bc I am Texan and I am biased LOL).

The options that do alter the most text are: Your deal, your occupation (bc it also doubles as personality), and if you choose to be romantic or friendly with someone.

3. how long have you been editing for?

this is a hard question to answer tbh pfhdjfh like been editing in general since like 2011 on instagram but specifically sims editing since ig 2016 but it was never anything more complicated than cropping and throwing someone elses actions on top. i only started really wanting to do more complicated editing in like november 2022

19. what part of the editing process do you enjoy the most?

def the colour grading!! i only recently started going out of my way to do it but omg it adds SO much to an edit. i spend most of my time in photoshop just turning the adjustment layer group on and off in awe tbh

20. pick your favourite edit that you’ve done

without a doubt it's this one. i really went for it with every aspect of this edit, ive tried this approach before but it never came out how i wanted it to. i made two whole blender scenes for this edit, spent hours figuring out the lighting on its own, edited both poses used and i think i perfectly captured what i wanted to :') im just really proud of it overall tbh

13. do you have any inspirations from media?

gonna answer this one under the cut cause i wanna add pics lmao

i absolutely have inspirations from media, everything i create is inspired by at least 3 different things at once. if i were to mention every thing individually that has inspired me i'd be here all day so ill just cover two that really drive me

the basketball diaries (1995)

one of my all time fav movies and not only does the cinematography inspire me but also the mood of the movie and how they create it and how characters interact with eachother. also the outfits.

lilya 4-ever (2002)

another fav movie. i think the pics speak for themselves, really just a visually beautiful movie. every creative thought i have has this movie on the moodboard in my brain <3

and more broadly horror/thriller movies in general are a big source of inspiration.
