June 10 - June 15

June 10

Eryka’s wedding! Okay but recap the night before I was awoken by Jeffrey’s lack of presence. Literally I woke up looking for him. My gosh! I was so worried. He came back and he was passed out naked in the toilet! Ahh, Jeffrey :( Helped him get to bed, and he was surprisingly not to bad other than his stomach the next day. He was sleepy for sure and energy wasn’t there :(

Then we all got ready! Also Lord answered our prayers once again for NO rain!!! Beautiful weather honestly. The sun was peaking out a bit but not too much because He knew I’d be sweating as heck if we were right under that sun! There was an entertaining officiant. That’s cool. Eryka’s friends are nice. Then we went to early dinner at Tap & Barrel. Went home and we were all pretty tired from the day. I think for me it’s the lack of sleep from the night before. Definitely gonna make sure on my wedding night that I am well rested!!!! I will probably workout that day and make sure I’m DEAD tired so I pass out! 

June 11

Went back to value village to return some stuff and bought more pants that fit.

Then hung out with Amy and watched a movie - Good Will Hunting. It reminds me that our past affects how we are today. There are things that was out of our control why we are the way we are.

June 12

Lunch at Akedo Showten with Jeffrey & Nathan. Then we went to get our gift for Daichi and our marriage license! woah! It was a nice hot summer day it felt. Hung out a bit at Jeffrey’s parents place but then I got sleepy right away again. Such low energy and to sleep early!

June 13

In person mass, confession @ OLGC, and then went to jeffreys parents house for brunch, and ask Lola to fix my evening wedding dress. We did our phone blitz for invites for the wedding <3 I love that we got to call people actually. So nice to make it personal! Met with Deacon Raff on the phone for other details. So nice to chat with him as he as well preparing for his ordination!

Went to wings to congratulate Marissa & Matthew, they got engaged last weekend! So exciting as more couples lock it in!

June 14

Got my dress altered a 2nd time for the final touches. Also made plans for wedding decor. Ah details that literally take so long, but not the most important thing. Whyyyy pinterest helped though!

June 15

TY Nicole for being down to help! Dinner outside with Amy. Fun topics we chatted today aha!

A construção da nova área de reunião e a considerável renovação da Igreja tiveram como objetivo aproximar o local de culto da mais recente renovação litúrgica e teológica.

A nova sala de reunião é simbolicamente e convenientemente colocada entre a Igreja e a Escola Primária de OLGC, com a intenção de aumentar e consolidar a oportunidade de reunião dentro da comunidade escolar e paroquial.

A nova ala também oferece uma fachada de rua acolhedora como um símbolo de renovação para a população em geral.

A abordagem de design visa reconhecer a importância do edifício existente. As novas intervenções são claramente identificáveis ​​graças ao uso de metais semi-preciosos e sistemas construtivos contemporâneos, enquanto a amplitude dos novos espaços criam continuidade com a escala da Igreja.

O desejo de uma disposição renovada da Igreja, que incluiria e aumentaria a participação dos paroquianos durante a Liturgia, levou à decisão de levar o Santuário à congregação. O Altar, a Pia batismal, o Tabernáculo, o Ambo, a Cadeira Presidencial, projetada e realizada pelo artista Matt Harding, estão localizados ao longo ou no cruzamento dos eixos da Basílica, gerando um senso de ordem dentro das partes da Liturgia e aprimorando um relacionamento visual contínuo com a congregação. O Santuário foi concebido como um elemento unificado com o Altar e a tela, através de um processo de cooperação próxima com o artista Matt Harding. Sua aparência rochosa simboliza a escalada do Gólgota rumo à ressurreição, e sua forma orgânica, também gerada pelos eixos primários do plano, convida os paroquianos a se aproximarem do centro da liturgia. As cadeiras pew, projetadas especificamente por arquitetos de direito para este espaço, permitem um layout de assentos semicircular ao redor do santuário e aumentam o senso de comunhão para a congregação. A Capela da Manhã está localizada no Coro, onde assentos diferenciados continuam a narrativa do Santuário e, juntamente com cadeiras soltas, criam um espaço flexível para a missa matinal e reuniões com alunos da escola adjacente. A Abside é agora o espaço dedicado à imagem de Nossa Senhora do Bom Conselho. A capela votiva é fisicamente e visualmente ligada à capela da manhã, enquanto os assentos em camadas proporcionam um espaço mais íntimo e protegido para momentos mais calmos de oração diante da imagem mariana.
