My cats broke something very important to me. A stack of abalone shells from my grandparents. Yeah I'm sure I can go back to NZ and get more or even at any touristy website. But these were special to me bc they went to visit family over there and brought that back. Those shells sat on their living room for damn near 20 years before my grandmother passed and I received them. There's so many memories surrounding these and im honestly not oinf great. It may seem so small to a lot if people but I don't have a lot of memories let alone good ones. Amd after a day like today...it was really the last thing I needed. I honestly didn't even think they could reach them. It's so jarring to me.
