Female Demon Who Sings Like "Ado" - Hazbin Hotel Gang Part 1/2
âĽNote: This headcannon is going to be the hazbin hotel gang reacting to a demon who sings like my favorite singer Ado. This is similar to what I did for Twisted Wonderland. Similar to that, the characters are going to have a favorite song by the "Ado" reader as well.
Might have more than one favorite song choice for certain characters (Charlie and Alastor) since I know how much they adore music. This will be in in two parts. Enjoy everyone:)
Charlieđ
đCharlie was a MASSIVE fan of music. She wasn't picky about any genre or form, she does adored music. She is the type of person who would go to musicals 24/7 and just admire it all. She could also sing as well, which increased her love for music tremendously
đShe had found you one day, wondering the streets of Pentagram City, appearing lost and confused. Being the sweetie she was, she dragged you back to the hotel, saying you could stay there for as long as you want. The two of you became quick friends after that encounter.
đHer discovery of your amazing talent was entirely accidental. She was wondering around the hotel gardens, when she heard someone belting out a high note. She ran towards where the sound was coming from to discover you. You were gracefully moving your body, twirling around, as you continued to sing. You were so lost in your singing that you didn't notice Charlie.
đOnce you were finished, a loud squealing was heard next to you, causing you to turn your head in shock. Charlie was bouncing up and down in excitement, eyes shining in amazement. She ran up to you and started asking you a thousand questions a second, ranging from "OH MY SATAN!! I DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULD SING?!" to "WHAT LANGUAGE WAS THAT! TELL ME!" After waiting for Charlie to calm down, you went and explained your past life to her.
đYou told her you were a very famous singer in Japan. You started singing at a young age, doing some song covers on the internet and eventually got discovered by a very famous music company, and started singing your own songs as well as performing in live concerts. Charlie listened to everything you were saying, eyes filled with excitement. She never heard of a "Utaite" before, but she was adamant in learning more about it.
đYou told her that you wanted to continue singing even in Hell, but you knew that it was going to be an easy thing to accomplish down here. Welp, never underestimate Charlie. She would go out of her way to find a popular music corporation in Hell to hire you, and if not, she would hire you personally to sing at the Hazbin Hotel. She even contacted her dad to help with everything, setting up a recording room in the hotel, and also setting up a stage/venue in the hotel for you to perform as well.
đYou tried to tell Charlie she didn't have to do all of this, but she said it was perfectly fine. She wanted you to continue your passion for singing. She gave out flyers to everyone in hell and also made another advertisement, letting everyone know to come to Hazbin Hotel to see you perform. Everything was set in place, but there was one problem, your identity. You preferred your face and identity to be kept secret in Hell, it was what you did when you were alive so you preferred to keep it that way. Charlie was quick to remedy that. She could try to see if her dad or Alastor could you their powers to change your form or wear a mask to conceal your face.
đYour first performance at the hotel was a huge success. All the sinners who attended were left stunned by your amazing vocals. The hotel became increasingly popular after that, more sinners would come to the hotel to attend your performances, and some of the demons who came actually wondered about the whole redemption process, and maybe would want to give it a try.
đCharlie became a bit of a music producer for you. She would help with setting up for you performances and she would also listen to a new song you were creating, offering tips and support. Her favorite songs that she enjoys from you is "New Genesis" and "Fireworks"

Vaggieđ
đVaggie enjoyed music, but not as much as her girlfriend, Charlie. She was Salvadoran, so her preferred genre consisted more of Latino/Hispanic songs, but she did love it when Charlie would sing.
đShe first met you when Charlie brought you to the hotel. The grip on her spear was strong, but the more she interacted with you, the less she gripped onto her spear. She soon realized you weren't much of a threat, and considered you an avid member of the hotel.
đShe had no idea you were musically talented until she heard you one day on the hotel roof. She was heading up there to deal with her migraine after dealing with Angel and Alastor's shenanigans. Getting ready to push the door, she stopped when she heard singing from the other side.
đCurious, she opened the roof door slowly. Peaking through, she spotted you, at the edge of the hotel roof, your back facing her. Your voice was memorizing, and she was really drawn to your lyrics despite not understanding fully what they meant. Once you finished, you heard clapping. Turning around, you realized Vaggie was behind you, sporting a small grin.
đShe walked closer to you, with her hands on her hips while you looked away flustered. âQuite a powerful voice you got.â She smiled back at you, and took noticed of your shy expression. Vaggie questioned what was wrong and you heaved a sigh, explaining your past.
đYou told her about your life in Japan, and how at the age of 17, you got founded by a popular music company, and began singing and performing music on the internet and live shows. You did mention that you almost never revealed your identity whenever you sang, which is why you were embarrassed when Vaggie found you. Vaggie was amazed when you told her your life story, and felt slightly bad.
đShe gave you a shoulder hug, and went on to describe that your voice was astounding, and she thinks she can help you and maybe speak to Charlie about your talent, maybe become beneficial for the hotel as well.
đAfter Vaggie spoke to Charlie and Alastor, since he was interested in the idea, the three of them helped to create another radio station tower in the hotel, where you could broadcast your singing, and maintain your identity as well. The hotel got its own frequency, which would help broadcast to all the radios in hell as well. After your performances, you would also throw in a small ad about the Hazbin Hotel and recommended sinners to attend.
đThe hotel did gain a bit more popularity after that, with a few sinners coming to the hotel for redemption, which made Charlie and Vaggie extremely happy. Vaggie had gotten much closer with you after that, making sure you were well rested and giving your voice a break and bringing you meals when you were broadcasting to make sure you were eating. Her favorite song of yours is "Value"

Angel Dustđ¸
đ¸Angel Dust was an avid music listener. He enjoyed a lot of pop and jazz songs. He was a stripper/porn star, so he would pole dance to a lot of the sexual/seductive songs for customers.
đ¸He was lounging on the hotel couch, when he heard Charlie announce that there was a new guest at the hotel. He looked up, and saw you walking along with Charlie, appearing very shy. "Heh, cute." he thought. It was a bit awkward in the beginning, considering how timid you were, but he eventually warmed up to you, becoming your best friend.
đ¸The both of you hanged out a lot, either you crashing in Angel's room or him coming to yours, to either chat or laze about. He was making his way to your room at high speed. He was irritated with work and he needed to rant to you about it since you would always listen to him. Entering inside your room, he noticed you were not there. Sounds of running water could heard, which made Angel realize that you were taking a shower in the bathroom.
đ¸Shrugging his shoulders, he decided he would wait for you to finish, plopping onto your bed. As he was laying there, he heard the sounds of someone singing. Angel arched his head on the bed, trying to hear it better, realizing that you were the one that was singing. Your voice was flowing into him, giving him goosebumps all throughout his body. The effects of your singing was almost putting him into a trance, like he was getting high on drugs again.
đ¸The sound of the water turned off, bringing Angel back to reality. Walking out the bathroom with a towel on your head and loungewear, you glanced up, only to jump in shock at seeing Angel laying on your bed, smirking at you. "Nice set of pipes you got there toots!" Angel said, as he continued to smirk at you, based on how red your face was.
đ¸Covering your face, you slowly sank to the floor, which caused Angel to give you a concerned look. "Woah woah! Toots, what's wrong? I wasn't making fun of ya. You sounded really good." Angel got up from the bed, and bent down to pick you up, walking back to the bed and placing you on it as he took a seat on it again.
đ¸Angel continued to observe you, worried that he had hurt your feelings. Finally, you removed your hands from your face, staring back at Angel. You told him that you were just shocked and very embarrassed that he saw you singing, since you were more use to singing privately. Angel raised an eyebrow, wondering what you meant. Heaving a sigh, you told Angel about your past life when you were still alive.
đ¸You told him you were Japanese and when you got a bit older, you started singing song covers and posted them on the Internet, but you concealed your identity. After a while of doing that, a music company founded you and immediately got you. You continued singing and making new songs as time went by, coming a very well known singer in your country until your death. After telling Angel all of that, you told him that you still wanted to continue singing, but it was just a bit more difficult, being in hell and all.
đ¸Angel was smiling down at you kindly, two of his arms still placed on your shoulders. He was happy you told him all of this, and glad that he didn't upset you. He was actually kinda stunned too, at that fact that he was friends with a very famous singer and had no idea about it until now. He wanted to press more on why you hid your identity, but he shot that thought down as he came to the conclusion that if it made you more comfortable that way, then itâs fine.
đ¸ď¸âWell why donât you start singing again. With a voice like that, you would have sinners crawling all over you, begging for you to sing to them?â He said, as he waited for your response. You told him that it wasn't gonna be easy, especially since you didn't know where to start and you didn't have powers to conceal your identity. Angel threw his head back in laughter, before looking back at you "Haha! Toots, I know several clubs in the area that you could perform at. Trust me. They always looking for someone. And the whole identity thing, you can always wear a disguise or put on makeup. I do drag so I'll be able to help ya out with the look."
đ¸After that, Angel basically dragged you to all the clubs that he and Cherri have gone too that he knew were top class, and not sleazy like other places. He avoided the ones that he knew his boss, Valentino, frequented. Last thing he wanted was for him to spot you and drag you into a soul contract, like he did to him. You were finally able to find one that looked amazing inside and out, had good pay, and also had a boss who wasn't a total aâŞâŞhat.
đ¸Your first performance at the club blew the audience away. The more and more you performed, the more sinners would pile up in the club. There was even lines outside, waiting to see you perform. Angel was able to conceal your identity, by putting on makeup on you, and also giving you a wig and other accessories to make you appear much different then how you normally looked. You became well known in that area in hell, even the internet was buzzing about you and how amazing you were.
đ¸Angel became your sort of stylist and bodyguard. He would help with your outfits and makeup, and he would stick around during all of your shows, as he wanted to make sure no one attempted anything, and he also wanted to enjoy your singing. His favorite song of yours is "Chocolat Cadabra"

8, 11, 22, 26, and 30 for Florence; 12, 14, 16, 23, and 28 for Henry :)
Oh boy its going to be a long one, lets just start with the girlie!
8) What hobbies does your OC have? What do they do to unwind?
Florence is a type of person who gets curious and interested easily so she embodies this trait into cooking. Her personal favorite is to make cookies and pasta, which she likes experimenting with new recipes. In some occasions if she's a bit worn out she likes to make a cup of goat milk and read a couple novels to unwind herself
11) What was your inspiration for your OC?
It all started when i got back to the twdak fandom and was also in a brainrot after reading agatha christie's novel "and then there were none". (Spoilers if you havent read it) I was a big fan of Old Justice Wargrave (or Laurence Wargrave) because he was such a well written villain with a strong sense of justice yet an "innocent" and calm sadistic demeanor. At that time i already had Florence in my drafts but i haven't got any good refs, so i decided to make my favorite old man as the refs for my girlie :>
22) Fight or Flight? Are they a lover or a fighter?
In a fight or flight situation, i do think she likes to take the risk. In making decisions or to put it simple, when she joined Krueger corp. she already knew theres no turning back because her father had already "given up" on her. So she will strive to prove that she's strong enough without him. So, a fighter.
26) What flower do you associate your OC with?
As much as i wanted to answer with wacky pretty flowers, i think daisies symbolizes her quite well, since it represents "innocence", loyalty, and ability to keep secrets
30) My OC and your OC are friends. This isn't a question. I'm not asking. (How do they respond?)
Theyre besties, your honor. Florence would really be grateful for Fiish's company because Albert could be quite a tiring boss, especially if he asks her to clean up the recent mess his patients did. Its just girlies supporting girlies yknow (and yeah they'll probably bully him also its part of the silly agenda lmao)
Now its time for Henry's turn!
12) Does your OC interact with other people's OC? If so, who's their best OC friend?
Yes. If you have seen the small comic i made with my friend (@im-bored-so-i-draw )'s oc, Jameson Heelshire, he's one of his homies. I dont know if they let me spoil another one but theres also another guy named Gabe, and he's also part of the group.
14) Who's a character your OC cannot stand! It's on sight when they see them!
With the events of him being rejected when he signed up for Myers corp, he absolutely despises Monsieur M. (Or just Myers in general) So everytime the tv at his press office has news about Myers he would reach put for the remote and change the channel to something else. He met Albert too at some point in while working, but he's still tolerable.
16) How's their relationship with their parents? Are they alive?
Henry's parents is indeed still alive. But the relationship is complicated. His mother was actually forced to marry his father because she was already pregnant before they were married. And Henry's mother was a scientist at Voorhees corp. And she was actually half-hearted when she had Henry. So they got divorced, and since his father regretted all of these occurences, Henry was taken in care by his uncle, Harlan. As for his relationship with them now, he still calls his dad and also his mom. Henry could only hope one day that his mother actually aswered the call when he did.
23) Is your OC reliable? Can I call them up at two in the morning if I have a flat tire?
Only if it also benefits him. Like if you call him with the said prompt he'll just reply "and what will you give me?" And if you answered something that pleases him (like you'll help him with his "work") he'll grab his sneakers and a brand new tire to run to you with aid.
28) What clique would they be in? (Draw them in the clothes of said group!)
I have really small understanding of english terms (it isnt my first language) so what i could gather is cliques are like those groups in highschools who has specific interests (?) So i would say he would be like a movie geek ig
(I dont know what they wear so apoliogies for not drawing :'>)

first victim is this thing
Ace
Love him
So he's like
Mr issues mcgee like god he is messed up
on one hand he just seems rlly awkward and bad at ppl when they're not alr his friends and that's true but also his entire sense of self-worth is sorta kinda based on if he can keep his friends safe which he's good at when it's Joe Averageson's evil twin attacking them but when it's the TIME POLICE, which HATE these guys bc they're time travelers, he's obviously not rlly able to pull through
but he's kept them ALIVE so he's not lying on the ground and letting the earth reclaim his tired bones just yet and he's gonna keep fussing over them (out loud or not)
also he's dead like super dead really dead obnoxiously dead but I'll get to that in a second ok
he loooves swords so much you could keep him distracted for hours just by asking him about swords
he loves them to the point that he used to be a swordsmith!! he was technically a weaponsmith but you'd have to pay extra for him to SPECIALLY CRAFT you a weapon that wasn't a sword
he was doing SUPER SWAG at his job and making swords with the weird time travel watch his dad (he has happy, loving, living parents I'm not a MONSTER) UNTIL... spooky monster???? he died like a lot... and he'll very rarely drop the fact that he remembers each one vividly..
at some point he was like "OK heck this I'm not gonna loop it unless everyone dies" And only the monster died but he lost an eye owie..
he left not long after that and was like "man this is a long dream" until he bumped into a griffin guy who's also a time traveler named Ollie and they became friends :)
they also picked up a guy named Graham and then- oh dang ace lost an arm too but when he woke up... mysterious prosthetic???
insert time skip here
oh no gray's evil (or is he?) and while ace and ollie r trying to skedaddle ace sniffs a flower (totally harmless.)
ace and ollie get a- god DANG it gray leave them alone and oh no he's actually possessed he's not evil
and eventually he sacrifices himself but good thing when this jerk Roy messed up aces wrist and broke his watch and swords ace and ollie met The Doctor (aka the only medical doctor in the whole island their name is colorpop) so they take the half dead gray to colorpop and yayyyy he'll live all is well
Lollll wrong
the guy who was possessing gray tries to come back to either possess ollie or ace this time and ollie sacrifices himself, losing his memory and teleporting him and the evil guy (named xenos) to a random spot on the island
Ace is like, "wuh... I gotta go find ollie I can't take gray with me he's still half dead" and goes to tell gray what happened and gives him his broken swords and leaves
hey remember that flower I mentioned it wasn't harmless I was a liar and ace is dying.. ehe
he finds ollie and is like "Hey find gray I literally just felt my heart stop give him my hat he'll know I dead then I was ur friend btw" and DIES....
ensue ollie having no idea what's going on and STILL getting trauma while ace meets his biggest fan, a small child, in the void
Ace is like "oh dang I'd be terrible company for eternity" and rips out of the void for the small child and finds his friends again yaaay
they get attack by time popo right after ace hits ollie with da Recap Episode
and so they go 2 colorpop's again and pick up ace's cousin and her gf so ace can teach her to Sword.
and that's where the storyline ends 4 now

Hi! How are you? I have a Chihuahua and his name is Tony but mostly I just call him toey without the n. I hate finding bruises later..it freaks me out more even if it doesn't even hurt. When and why are you going to Boston? It seems fun!
Haha I don't blame you. I liked them but wasn't obsessed anymore by the time I went to see them. Like I never loved them the way I love Taylor really..but I think cuz I wasn't as obsessed during 1989 either was maybe why my mom thought I would prefer to see them. That was actually I think my first big concert in a stadium show besides Kelly Clarkson. I don't really listen to their music anymore really but I still like them individually I guess but I wasn't like a crazy fan girl or anything. I was also obsessed with showtunes at the time and twenty one pilots and some heavier bands lol. That was the kind of concerts we went to actually. My music taste is all over the place.
Well I honestly can't remember most of the songs from Jekyll or Bloody Bloody anyway but it is mostly just like campy. I would love to see Little Shop or Rocky live..they were doing a showing in early October but I missed it. I thought it would be closer to Halloween. Something Rotten is so fun..I vividly remember watching the Tonys performance and laughing like..what the heck is that? I was intrigued..I also think Shakespeare is so funny. Then Fun Home was a really good one too..it left a strong impression and showed me the serious side of musicals. Finding Neverland is not fun haha..I remember crying at the end of the show. Gentleman's Guide is a fun show and I remember the Tony performance too. I guess I do kinda like silly musicals too if they're done well but I think I'm more into the serious ones or maybe something in between. Sondheim is a great example of that but he does have humor in his shows too. Sweeney is my favorite Sondheim show and then probably Sunday or into the Woods I guess. I do like Company too but I'm not as familiar with the full show and it's more about loving the songs for me. I also feel that way about Sunday but Company and Sunday both have a stronger message in the shows..with the ending songs Being Alive and Moving On. I'm hoping to see it too and I'm very interested to see how I feel about the gender swap.
Oh cool! Beautiful World is also on my list..im pretty sure I read some of it before but that was a year or two ago lol. I enjoyed Normal People but didn't really care for Conversations with Friends as much. I also never even finished the show of Normal People either, but I want to..I know a lot of people really like it. I struggled with some of her writing and no quotations too. I actually read some of the Night Circus the other day and was surprised by how engaging it was. I thought I would have a problem and it would be hard to read 3rd person or cuz it was old fashioned but it wasn't at all! I think it was set up really well and hooked me in right away. I hope I can keep up with the timeline and it doesn't become confusing with more characters. Sometimes I make guesses or predictions on things when I read but then I end up flipping thru it instead. This happened cuz I was trying to figure out how many parts there were or how long chapters are and why the book is split up like that but I guess I will see. I did a similar thing with Tomorrow x3 and ended up seeing a spoiler..lol. so I hope that doesn't happen with this. I read all of the backstory so far or when they were children. Ooh that fancast could be interesting I think but sometimes it doesn't work in your head as much as you want, and can be pretty hard to come up with too. It's just that sometimes when I'm reading a book and I know what the author looks like, I end up picturing the author as the character instead lol. This has happened with Emily Henry for example but most times I don't even know what they look like anyway..but since this is less modern, I thought it might help. A fun thing was that I had the book next to a cover of the Blurryface album by twenty one pilots and it was the same exact colors..black, white and red, and looked extremely similar, next to each other which made me smile.
That's also why I thought reading TBOSS might help now with the movie coming out cuz there is already a cast. I figured out that if I read 2 chapters a day, I could be done in like 15 days just in time for the movie so I might be focused on that for now. I actually think the movie might be better than the book anyway though but I think it's okay so far. I understand wanting to finish the Hunger Games first though. I loved the Olivia song. It was pretty different for her or at least pretty different from Guts, so I was surprised in a good way. Her voice is pretty powerful and it totally fits the tone of the movie. It made me wonder if it was easier or harder for her to write lyrics based on something or not..or if she has a personal connection to the lyrics as well, since there is always a part of songwriters in their lyrics like authors having parts of themselves in their characters in books. Omg wait..how do you have mutual friends with her? That's so cool..I'd love to hang out with her! The first time I heard her voice was singing Shallow but it's cool she loves Broadway and also Taylor too. Maybe that's why I think we would get along. I would recommend the West Side movie and I appreciate it being updated but I just preferred the original a lot more. That's just me though and I have watched the original so many times. I think a lot of people actually do prefer the new one more which is interesting but I guess it also makes sense. I think its pretty funny her and her bf were in West Side and now this movie..she is truly living the dream haha.
Pick whichever url makes you happy I'll still be able to find you :) or you can ask my opinion if you want. I've never changed my url but I changed blogs before..or made new ones and I've been here since 2010 lol. I think the vault does sound like Midnights a little but I think.its just a similar sound that probably inspired the sound of the album in the first place. Like people think Suburban Legends sounds exactly like Mastermind but I don't actually hear that. That specific lyric made me think of Midnights but my point was she has always had songs or a similar idea like it since her first album..so I don't get when people say she didn't write it in that era or whatever. I still think some of the vault still had an 80s sound to it though and someone pointed out Say Don't Go kinda sounds like her can't stop loving you cover and I sort of agree with that. I love that theme too and a fun fact about me is I've never seen the movie sliding doors but I actually think I will watch it soon. Oh that sucks! I hope you can get tickets closer to you..and everything works out.
I've never heard of these before but thanks for telling me! I will check them out and I hope I'm pretty good at them. I am familiar with a lot of stuff even if it's a movie or show I haven't seen so I'll tell you if it's easy or hard.
What did your mom think of the show? Oh that's such a bummer that the show had technical problems. Your seats looked pretty good though and I'm glad you were able to enjoy it anyway. I think I prefer the act one so it was maybe less noticeable for me but I see what you mean. I mostly agree with you about Wait For Me as the closer and Why We Build the Wall isn't as dramatic for the act one finale. Wait For Me was definitely one of the best parts of the show for me but what about you? Is there different things you noticed since you have seen it before?
My weekend was good! I actually went to a casino which was kinda fun. I played a Little Shop and Wonka machine and was able actually to win some money on them but not for long or as much as I hoped. Thank you for the hug and well wishes! I will probably need it as I will feel stressed and busy for the next month though so I might not be able to reply as often. I hope you feel relaxed and rested this week before your trip!
hi friend!
that's so so cute â i call toto a bunch of things too; totoroto, bobo, totes, among others, and he's learned to respond to all of them 𼺠i'm definitely soaking all the toto cuddles i can before my trip (he's sleeping on my lap as i reply to you); it's a very short trip, but :( i leave for boston sooooooon! i'm just visiting a friend for the long weekend, and we have some fun things planned!!
i've never liked an artist the way i like taylor and i don't think i ever will find someone else like that â growing up alongside her music is something very very special that i will never get to replicate, because her music has really soundtracked so much of my life! before this year i didn't really go to concerts (i'd go to like the occasional theatre one if there happened to be one near me but not like a concert concert), and so i feel like i'm making up for lost time haha. i think by the end of this year i'll have gone to like ten concerts and two music festivals? which is kind of crazy when i think about it that way! what's your favorite concert you've ever been to?
something rotten is very fun! have you also listened to & juliet? some of my friends are obsessed with it! i'm hoping that they'll do a national tour and come to seattle at some point so i can see it; i don't foresee myself going to new york anytime soon :( but things could always change! have you ever listened to eleri ward's indie folk sondheim covers? her voice is beautiful!
my rooney ranking is normal people > beautiful world > convo with friends! but i might actually change my mind and bring CWF with me, i haven't quite decided yet. i loveeeed the normal people show, it's one of the few adaptations that i think does the source material justice! and i think paul and daisy have not just wonderful chemistry, but also an amazing understanding of the characters.
i'm really glad you've been liking night circus! i have not been reading it much; i've just been very busy but hopefully will get on it once i'm back from boston! i did start reading cleopatra and frankenstein while i was at the doctor's office this week, and i found the first two chapters to be really funny. i'm not sure if it's actually funny or if it's a "i'm not supposed to laugh here so i'm trying to be quiet and so everything is funnier and i cannot stop laughing" situation, but i'm hoping to finish it tonight (very unlikely; i have a ton of stuff i need to do before boston) because otherwise i will probably never pick it up again. i always do this; i get super into a book a few days before i have to leave and i don't finish it and by the time i'm back from my trip i'm no longer interested (did the same thing in may, and again in january). if you have an idea for a night circus cast, let me know! i'm definitely interested to hear what your choices are :) i hope you continue liking it!
i really, really loved olivia's song â i keep thinking about how hauntingly beautiful it is! i thought about getting the 7" of it, but i rarely spin 7" vinyls, and i think i should save my money for other vinyls ... but i'm still thinking about it haha. i do! i have some friends in the theatre scene :)
i change my url so often! i'm always worried you won't be able to find me but i do try to do a redirect etc so people can always find me đ¤ i probably won't do anything until i'm back from boston, and then maybe by then i'll want to do something else anyways! what are your thoughts on the vault tracks now that it's been a few weeks? i think my rankings have shifted â i definitely like now that we don't talk, slut and is it over now? more than i did before! speaking of, eras tour is back today!!!! one of my dear friends is going to eras tonight and i'm so so excited for her đĽş
let me know how those games go for you! i didn't do murdle yesterday because i got busy and forgot and now i'm like "i'll just start it up again once i'm back from boston" because my streak will be broken anyways. would not recommend doing murdle on your phone!! it's much much easier (better user interface) on a computer.
my mom had fun! she said it reminded her of come from away and jasper in deadland â i understand the jasper connection, because it's also based off of the orpheus eurydice myth but i'm not sure how she got come from away from that haha. wait for me is probably in my top 3 hadestown moments! i remember my friend gripping my hand out of shock and excitement when we first saw hadestown (first preview on broadway!). i think of that moment + her every time i listen to wait for me!
i hope next month is okay! sending you lots of love! remember to take care of yourself <3333

Guilt is hard in this fandom.
Whatâs weird for me is itâs not my first rodeo with fandom guilt. Itâs just personal now.
When JKR made her views barn door obvious, I couldnât stand anything to do with her in my space. I got rid of loads of HP stuff I had, took down all the decorations I had in my room, and donated my copies of the books. Iâd had them since I was 10yrs old. They were a gift from my aunt. I couldnât look at them without feeling sick. This woman wanted my best friends to stop existing-how could I ever have loved those books? For years I had nothing to do with it.
Iâm a more than one fandom human, to some extent. I hop between them. My second love was Star Wars. Now owned by Disney. Fandom populated byâŚwell everyone knows enough about what Star Wars fans are like I think. It got to the point every time a new show was being released Iâd hold my breath for the wave of hate. I felt guilty for being a Star Wars fan, I didnât want to be associated with those people. I didnât want to give money to a faceless multinational company that doesnât treat humans very well by and large, unless itâs profitable. It was making me hate being in the fandom, and I donât engage with it as much anymore. Iâm happier for it.
The marauders, as a fandom, feels different.
I fell into it in a very difficult period of my life, I did not start with ATYD, and I still havenât read a lot of the âbig ficsâ I see mentioned frequently. But it is the fandom I have most consistently and enthusiastically engaged with for a long time. I have actually joined discords and left messages in them. I do not feel scared that someone might communicate with me/recognise I exist if I reblog a post with 4 notes. I am not shy about the fact that this fandom saved my life and to some extent keeps me alive. Itâs also how I figured out Iâm non-binary (irony of ironies). I could name the stories that help me realise that about myself. It is the first time I have ever shared fics with in real life human friends, and been recommended some back.
But oh gods the guilt is different. If someone asked if I liked Harry Potter now I would wince. I have. Itâs sometimes a bit like a dual reality. Where I love the thing that Iâm supposed to be driven to rage about. No no, I donât like her. I like the really queer stories about the characters she invented. How tf am I supposed to explain that? To articulate it? Even to myself. Is it possible to overthink this or am I not thinking enough?
The conclusion I eventually came to was this. Our very existence canât be protest. But I think our community might be?
The writer and creators and actual queer humans in this fandom (of which there are soooo many), have made me impossibly brave. Iâm out. Not to everyone in my life. But mostly. I went to York recently. And yes I did absolutely walk down the shambles smiling in the pouring rain because it was a bit like walking down Diagon alley. But then I got really stupidly brave and visited a queer bookshop for the first time. Those books I bought are sat on my shelf now. It took me a second attempt 15mins after I left the bookshop to go to the cafe upstairs. It was tiny. Iâm autistic as all hell and strangers are terrifying. But not there. I spoke to people Iâve never met. Largely about my assistance dog. There were a number of disabled people in there who wanted to know how to get one-but didnât know. And I got to tell them. Because I could think to myself âfor goodness sake these humans arenât scary! You talk to them on tumblr and discord and watch their tik toks all the time!â. Me of a couple of years ago would never ever have been brave enough to do that.
So I got to help some people that day. Because people Iâve come across in this fandom helped me realise I am very definitely queer, and made me feel safe talking to people as my actual self.
So yes. I feel guilty about being in the marauders fandom. Quite a bit sometimes. But most of the time I have to believe that, as a community, as a fandom, we do more good than a lot of us might think. How many small business are owned and operated by queer people that sell marauders things because we absolutely refuse to give JKR money? Because I know of a few and I definitely donât know them all. How many people in this community have fundraised for important things? The marauders with Palestine project is a thing. (It also seems a tad weird having typed that-does a fandom have to be morally in credit to be allowed to exist and bring joy? Do the people in it? This seems like an impossible threshold and a very philosophical question)
None of us as human beings are going to have a faultless perfect existence. And I feel queasy about a lot of things I see in the world. Including the fact JKR still makes money off of Harry Potter. But I think I can let the marauders fandom be, in my mind, more than I used to be able to, because of how much goodness and joy it brought to and still brings to my life. And that often doesnât seem like anything to do with her at all.
something i don't talk enough about as a trans person in this fandom is the guilt.
because i feel so fucking guilty all the time. for,,, doing something i enjoy? which is fitting, i guess, that i hate myself for the very thing transphobes hate me for - living happily.
and i don't talk about it because,,, well. i don't know how to.
it's all very disconnected, isn't it? you will open fics to the disclaimer "i do not support jkr", you engage in queer stories etc etc but,,, you don't really think about it?
until you're picking up your hrt prescription and the price has gone up by a third without warning. until you're booking an "assessment" with the clinic you pay nearly ÂŁ200 a month to because the government's decided that you need to regularly prove that you're trans enough. until you're having your fifth heart attack and instead of finding answers, you're told it must be the hrt even though you weren't taking it for any of the other times. until you're sitting in an ed clinic and you're told that clearly it's all rooted in being trans, even if you've been here for years before. until you're searching for emergency accommodation because you're homeless and you're rejected by the first six that you try because you "aren't a right fit". until you're buying fucking milk and have your hair pulled and shirt lifted. until you're walking 'home' alone.
and then you get 'home', and you think "what a rough day, i'll do something i enjoy now"
and you speak about a headcanon that people dislike and your face ends up on reddit pages with random strangers dissecting your identity. you talk about a ship people dislike and you're called slurs. you scroll through comments of people whining about a male fictional character in makeup, and suddenly it's not so disconnected anymore.
and you have to come to terms with the fact you are taking joy from something created by a person who wants you gone, and that you actually can't disconnect the two.
and i think i've become too comfortable. which is a wild sentence, but i have.
i think i've become complacent in this idea that my existence in this fandom is a form of protest, but it isn't. my existence is not a form of protest and i guess, it sucks. sometimes.
coming to terms with being in a fandom based on the works of a woman who actively fights for me to not have rights. it sucks.
and it feels like screaming into a void sometimes where no one can hear you because for some reason, being trans is a form of protest, and that alleviates any guilt.
and well, yeah. i guess that's right. i guess there's a point there.
but my existence isn't a form of protest, and i feel guilty for being here. even though i only engage in fanbased work, even if i don't directly profit her, even if i make sure that i make it clear that i do not engage with her in any way. even though i read fics that deconstrust her views, or headcanons that go against her etc etc.
i feel guilty, and i don't really know how to amend that.
but i can recognise that now, and that's something.
#I think it also helps that I am not being bullied by the trolls of the collective internet for existing as a ray of human sunshine soâŚ#there is that#I would very much like to wrap you in a blanket and insist that as a queer person I feel we are allowed to experience queer joy when#reading queer stories written by queer people#(even if we did nab the characters in a collective heist first)#we canât change JKRs mind#but we can make eachother feel happy and safe and wanted and part of something#and maybe the hopeless little Hufflepuff in me has to believe that has immense intrinsic value#we canât solve the worlds transphobia on our own#but we can sure as hell feel less alone in a bundled up oddity of a writers group and I am personally quite liking that

That Summer Dress (Dean Winchester x Reader smut)
Summary: You have to wear a dress for a case and Dean really likes it *wink*
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Warnings: psychotic ghost and sexy times (BJâs and big Oâs)Â
Word count: 3104
Note: I wrote this in 2019. Enjoy! Like/Reblog or both if you like it! :)
âDo you really have to use me as bait?â I asked while my will to live was slowly leaving my body and soul.
âHey the ghost likes to kill girls and since both of us have dicks...â Dean said but I cut him off.
âYeah, yeah.â
Case in a nutshell: Not so long ago a serial killer named Ted Bundy existed and he liked to kill women, saying hardcore pornography made him do it (Dean to that: âYeah right.â). Well, turns out the world is even more fucked up than I thought; he had a fan. A fan so dedicated to keep his notorious legacy alive, he made sure not to cross over when he dies; and he died 10 years ago. He liked to kill pretty girls in fucked up ways, the similarities between his MO and Tedâs were uncanny. His main preference, were girls who wore pretty dresses. After he would kill them, he would keep the dresses, sick bastard. Some say he would put on the dress of his first victim, his wife, every time he would kill. We burnt the body but he was still in his house. So, naturally we decided to go there and see whatâs keeping him here, in Tacoma, Washington.
It was 6pm and time for us to get to work. This shitty motel room was slowly driving me mad; I was ready to kick something.
âAre you guys ready?â I asked putting on my backpack.
â(Y/N) are you forgetting something?â Dean then asked me.Â
âWhat?â
âYou said it yourself he likes girls in dresses.â Sam said.
Oh shit.
âYou really want me to wear a dress? REALLY?â
Dean jokingly told me I would have to wear a dress and also added how hot I would look before we came here; turns out he wasnât joking. Dean and I were kind of more than just friends. We werenât together either. Ever since Iâve first met him one night in a bar back home (Lebanon, Kansas) we were drawn to each other. He, of course typical Dean, tried to flirt with me and get in my pants but I wasnât in the mood. I lost my friend to a vampire that day and I was grieving, with whiskey. He started with small talk which I hate more than anything, but because I was attracted to him I gave him a pass and soon after we found common ground. We were in the same business, liked the same music and overall been through a lot of similar crap. Plus he was SO lucky in the gene department; those green eyes and full pink lips were enough to make me want him under/on top of me. That night we talked for what it seemed like forever, about hunting, life, everything...that night I saw his true colors and he saw mine, which was strange for both of us, considering the fact we donât open up easily and to just anybody. We didnât fuck that night though. Oh no, after that I havenât seen him in 3 long months. He was busy trying to find his angel friend Castiel and nephilim named Jack; and I was busy hunting werewolves in Los Angeles. We would text each other every once in a while but that was it, before, he one day called me asking if I want to join him and his little brother. Of course I said yes. That was and still is one of the greatest discussions I have ever made. Ever since my friend died Iâve been hunting alone and the loneliness was killing me. I still miss her terribly. It was nice having company like Sam and Dean. Sam soon became that friend everyone wishes to have; the one who takes care of you and is always there if you have a problem and Dean, well Dean was your friendâs hot brother you desperately wanted to bang. And I did...one drunken night when we were left alone. Sam was the one who needed to clear his head so he went for a long walk and Dean and I were left to do research for our next case. We were a little hard on that bottle of whiskey Dean had bought that day so we did anything but that. When Sam got back he found us both collapsed in Deanâs bed naked (thank god we were covered with a sheet). The next day was pretty awkward for him. Poor Sammy...
I donât even remember what we did; I just know he gave me the most amazing orgasm Iâve ever had. It was mind-blowing. We havenât really gotten a chance to talk about it since we have been working 24/7, so this brings us to now... I get jealous every time a girl even looks at Dean in a way I donât like, and Dean is the same. One time when a guy bought me a drink, Dean just drank it instead of me. So we were friends but there was something more to it...
Back to reality...
âIf you want us to get rid of that son of a bitch yeah.â Dean said with an obvious smug on his face.
âBut I donât have one.â I said giving him a bitch face. âI donât wear dresses.â
âWe will go and buy one then.â Sam said.
âGreat.â A sarcastic comment was a necessity for me.
Because I was going to wear a dress I decided to put my hair in a pony tail and do my makeup. Well, mascara was the only thing I carried, so put mascara on. We went to a nearest shop where I found the most beautiful summer dress. A little above the knees, white with flowers all over it, covering all the right places, it suited me perfectly. Dean approved as well. When he saw me leaving the shop his jaw hit the floor. He was waiting with Sam outside drinking coffee and almost choked on it. My ego was rising faster than the bulge in his pants.
âWhat do you think?â I asked them.
âIt suits you.â Sam said.
âNice.â Dean added swallowing nervously. âOkay letâs get to work.â
While Dean was driving I could feel him eyeballing me in the rear-view mirror as much as he could. That man was slowly going mad and I loved it. I hoped this dress lands me a naked Dean Winchester after this case.
When we finally arrived to his house I got chills down my spine. I felt his presence and I was still in the car. When we went inside on the other hand, I felt like I couldnât breathe, he was there waiting for me. Maybe thatâs how he killed all those girls over the years, he was calling for me to go to his bedroom.
âHeâs in the bedroom.â I whispered.
âHow do you know?â Sam asked tightening the grip around his shotgun. Both, him and Dean had shotguns with rock salt shot rounds while I was stuck with an iron crowbar.
âHeâs telling me to come there. Sick bastard.â
âWhat a ladiesâ man.â Dean added.
Because I was the bait in this whole operation I was the first to enter the room. It was one of those typical bedrooms that you see in horror movies; all wooden, unreasonably tidy and clean with...so many dolls in dresses watching your every move. It was a room of nightmares. Just being in there made the Winchesters and me uncomfortable.
âNow, this guy had a lot of issues.â I heard Dean say, and he was right.
In that moment I felt someone or something grab my throat which resulted in me dropping the crowbar. He was here. He was old probably in his sixties, gray hair, and psychotic written all over his face and in old dirty clothes. He was tightening the grip around my neck as I felt oxygen leave my brain. âPretty dress.â- Was the last thing I heard followed by a gunshot before passing out.
****
âHey (Y/N) are you okay?â
â(Y/N) wake up!â
Dean said a little bit louder as I opened my eyes completely oblivious of what went down.
âWhereâs the ghost?â
âWe took care of it.â Sam said.
âFor real? Is he going to come back?â
âNo, turns out the bastard was attached to the dress of the first girl he killed, his wife.â Dean stated.Â
âFigures. But where did you find the dress?â
âSam found it in a glass box in his living room.â
âOh...wow...Okay, youâre never using me as bait ever again.â Still a little disoriented I gathered all the strength I had in that moment to get up. Dean helped me of course, being a gentleman, not taking his eyes off me.
âGotcha!â He said.
*****
When we finally got back to the motel Sam decided he was going to go grocery shopping for the trip back home and later go to a bar. I thought Dean was going to go as well so I can shower and hit the sack (the trip back home was going to last 24 hours and I wasnât  not much of a sleeper while being on the road because I could never get comfortable) but he decided to stay with me. Maybe now we can finally talk about that night and establish what we are.
When Sam left I couldnât help but feel a little bit nervous. I have wanted to talk about this with Dean for so long, constantly thinking about what I will say and how I will approach the subject and now that moment was here and I was scared shitless. I didnât do that kind of shit, at all. I would usually just sleep with a guy and leave. I donât have time for relationships nor commitment and Dean was the only one pushing those barely touched buttons (last real relationship I had was back in high school and it didnât end well; the asshole cheated).
âI thought you are going with Sam to get drunk?â I asked nervously wanting to start a conversation.
âNah, I can do that here...â He said smirking. âWith you.â
Oh... Â
âAre you trying to tell me something, Dean?â I asked trying to act confident. God, he was driving me crazy.
âYou know what exactly Iâm trying to tell you babe.â He said after he took a sip from the beer bottle he opened seconds before. I on the other hand was standing inches away from him leaning against the wall because I was too afraid my knees would give up and I would hit the floor. His voice, his face....his everything....UGH. He was making me feel like Iâm 15 and hormonal again. He then proceeded to get even closer to me, eyeballing every inch of me in that dress; practically stripping me naked with his eyes. He put the bottle on the table and went towards me, he was so close I could see every line, freckle and bump on his face. Plus those green eyes...not possible to describe the beauty of them. His right hand was above me while the other found a way to my thigh slowly but surely dragging his fingertip across my skin, slowly lifting my dress. He pinned me down against the wall while I was trying not to completely lose it and tear his clothes off.
âThat dress looks perfect on you.â He said.
âYouâre not subtle with your eyeballing at all, you know?â As I said that his hand went a little higher slowly brushing his fingers across my already wet panties making me gasp a little and spread my legs. He knew how to open âthe gates of heavenâ as he called them. Cheeky...
âI couldnât help it; I was barely controlling myself back there.â He stated as he pressed his forehead against mine. âMy dick was so hard when I saw you, it hurt like a bitch.â And then boom, his fingers went in my panties immediately finding my clit and slowly rubbing me with his thump. Holy shit...I forgot just how much I missed his touch. I let out a moan while my eyes never left his. The air was filled with lust and nothing but lust. I couldnât wait for him to devour me whole.
âGlad you enjoyed the view.â I managed to say. I decided today was my day to play though. I wanted to be in charge so badly so I took his hand out of my panties, kissed his cheek, barely touching the skin, and went to my bed. He followed me like a puppy. I took off my dress reveling my white bra and white panties (and no there were not matching but who cares).
âIs it just me or did you get even hotter?â He asked eyes wide open. He was like a child after Christmas morning. I smiled as my confidence was sky high and pushed him onto the bed. Positioning myself on his lap I pulled on his shirt telling him to lift himself up so I could kiss him. As soon as he did I crashed my lips onto his, and my tongue entered in his mouth, exploring, biting and teasing the shit out of him. My hands were in his hair pulling slightly as his hands went onto my hips desperately trying to tell me to move. I started off with little trusts as my lips attacked his neck. Pretty sure I left many love bites.
âGod, I want you.â He said pulling my pony tail to look at me. âYouâre driving me crazy woman!â
âJust doing my job, sir.â I said playfully.
Suddenly I found myself in Deanâs arms in the air before he dropped me onto the bed. Wasting no time he took off his clothes, boxers included and boy oh boy how my lungs stopped working. I was in a trance looking at this perfect man who was about to sin with me.
â(Y/N)?â
âYeah?â I asked while my eyes were on his hard dick scanning every vain and practically drooling.
âWhy are you still dressed?â
âOh...â
Taking off my underwear he took my face and kissed me as he his body was on top of mine. It looked like he thought he was gonna be in charge...oh honey. My hand went and grabbed his dick as I broke the kiss to look at him. He looked at me with confusion all over his face as I said: âMy turn.â
He melted instantly. I knew he liked it when someone bosses him around in bed and gives him âsexy rulesâ-not so long ago we got drunk (like we usually do on a Sunday night) and talked about sex. Before I completely blacked out I remembered him saying something about him being a sub while his brother was laughing his butt off. Poor guy was too drunk to see his brother sitting sober as a bird in the library reading a book.
âOh...â He managed to say as I pushed him back onto the bed. I kissed every inch of him; lips, neck, collarbones, biting here and there; stomach, going lower and lower. He was breathing heavily, before I reached his dick and licked the tip first; then he lost his mind. He grabbed my pony tail as I took him all in my mouth, moving slowly up and down. Because I didnât have gag reflex I could take him whole with ease. Every time I reached the tip I would vacuum slightly making him moan. Those moans were the hottest thing I have ever heard.
âGod, that feels so good.â He said trying to stay sane but failing.
I did that a few times before going back up and kissing him again. He was in shock, it looks like he didnât expect for me to stop. âI donât want you to cum just yet.â I said.
âUgh.â
âI love when youâre frustrated.â I giggled.
âI hope it amuses you because itâs killing me.â
I decided to stop playing around and positioned myself on top of his tip as I sat down with ease. His facial expression changed immediately as I slowly started to move, riding him.
â Fuck.â He cussed.
Deep breaths and moans filled the room, his hands were on my hips and mine were on my boobs cupping them; preventing them from jumping up and down (It hurts like a bitch after). He begged me to speed up soon after moaning my name over and over again. I could see he wasnât going to last much longer which exited me because I was close too. Considering the fact I prefer when a man is on top of me this was AMAZING. He was hitting all the right places and I was in heaven.
âDean Iâm close!â I yelled.
âIâm too...oh god.â
Jumping up and down on him I could feel my orgasm approaching. I felt like million bucks as he came first after hitting my g-spot so hard I lost my shit and came after him. I was shaking and couldnât feel my legs as I collapsed next to him.
âHoly shit.â I said panting.
âWhat was...â He was still trying to catch his breath.
âMind-blowing?â
âBest sex I ever had.â He added.
âI think I came so hard my body is dead. I canât feel my legs at all...nor arms.â I said smiling like an idiot.
âI was that good, huh?â Dean asked with a big ass grin on his face.
âYes.âÂ
It finally hit me that we still havenât had the talk. I really wanted to know where I was with him.
âHey, um...what are we?â I finally spilled out.
âWhat do you mean?â
âI mean, we are friends but we also fuck like animals and get jealous if someone flits with our fuck buddy but-â I was cut off by his lips on mine. This kiss was different though. It was like he was trying to show me just how much he cared about me; it was much more loving and not driven by lust.
âYouâre not just my fuck buddy.â He said breaking the kiss. âI really like you. I havenât felt like this in a very long time, and Iâm scared with the life we live whatâs gonna happen but Iâm willing to try if youâre too.â
âYou know my answer.â I just said and kissed him.
Too bad we didnât have time for round two because Sam came back early for some reason and found us both naked in my bed. Poor moose was traumatized for the next 2 weeks.  Â

- Sam insists heâs doing the best he can and leaves.
- Dream tries to say that itâs not that bad. Heâs been in there for a long time, but now itâs better! Tommy writes a book to Dream, signs it and throws it to him.
Dream:Â âI have company. I have a cat -- I mean, technically itâs not my cat, technically itâs your cat, but still! Itâs just as good, keeps me company when I write and everything, we talk sometimes -- âcause youâre annoying a lot of the time--â
- Dream throws away the clock in the lava, saying they donât need it. Tommy punches the cat again.
Dream:Â âTommy, hear me out, hear me out...what if...we get out together, okay?â
- Tommy is not a fan of the idea, Dream shouldnât be let out too. He goes over to the cat and shouts at it for being in his spot. He punches Pussboy twice.
Dream:Â âTommy...TOMMY, STOP!â
Tommy:Â âExcuse me! Come this way, come this way, excuse me Dream Iâm trying to right-click Pussboy--â
(Dream moves to get in front of the cat)
Dream:Â âTommy.â
Tommy:Â âCome here, come here! Do you like this cat, Dream?â
Dream:Â âYes, I do.â
Tommy:Â âWhy?â
Dream:Â âBecause he -- Tommy, he keeps me company --â
(Tommy punches Pussboy again and leads him towards the lava)
Tommy:Â âPussboy, this way. Pussboy, this way. Let me show you the light--â
Dream:Â âHeâs probably low, heâs probably low!â
Tommy:Â âOh what, you love him? Do you love him? Do you love him?â
Dream:Â âYes, I do...Tommy, heâs made things better in here -- okay listen! When you leave, can you sit him down and leave him here?â
(Tommy goes over and punches Pussboy again. He tries to lead Pussboy away again, but when the cat doesnât come he punches Pussboy twice more, killing him)
Tommy:Â âYeah. And thatâs what happens when you love something, bitch.â
...
Tommy: âSee, now when I leave, when I leave, youâll have nothing! âCause you are lonely, and youâre m-m-manipulative, youâre a fuckinâ twat, and I mean that.â
Dream:Â âTommy...Iâm gonna get out! And you just motivated me -- you motivated me all the time, you just -- that was hope, right? The cat was hope -- the cat was hope that I could live a nice life in here--â
Tommy:Â âAnd now itâs dead, now itâs dead.â
- Dream insists that heâll get out, and when he does, heâll get his revenge on everyone who wronged him. Tommy asks if heâd kill Tubbo.Â
- The subject goes back to Dreamâs plan of escape.
Dream:Â âI have a plan. And the thing is, Awesamdudeâs never gonna believe you that I have a plan because he thinks itâs unbreakable, unescapable--â
âI have a plan. And you know, thereâs a certain someone who owes me a favor, but -- that might be a part of it, but...I do have a plan.â
- They argue about the conditions of the prison again.Â
Dream:Â âIâve been in here a for hundred times longer than you, and you sit there trying to tell me that itâs so horrible, that itâs so bad -- yeah, it was! But guess what, we have each other to talk to, and we had a cat until you fucking killed it!â
Tommy:Â âDream...Dream, and listen to this -- fucking engrave this on you, write this into your arms, Dream...You donât have me. Youâll never have me. We donât have each other, alright? I am me, and you are this fuckinâ loser who goes around manipulating people, lying to get what he wants. You are a fuckinâ no one, man, alright? And when Iâm going to leave here, youâre not! You might have a favor -- you think, who is it, Technobladeâs gonna be able to come in here to let you out -- Technoblade, he doesnât like governments, but he likes self gain! You think he wants to piss off the owner of the most POWERFUL building on the entire server, just so that he can get a video that BARELY scrapes the five million view mark -- NO, Dream, alright? Youâre a fuckinâ asshole, youâre deluded, youâre delusional, and I fuckinâ hate you.â
Dream:Â âOkay...yeah, but I have something Techno would want, so...it means knowledge, alright?â
- Dream says that even when heâs in here, heâs more powerful than Tommy outside. Tommy replies that if he wanted to, he could kill Dream right now. The only reason he doesnât is because they need the revive book.
- Dream says that he will never use the revive book to help Tommy or his friends. Ever.
Dream:Â âSo kill me. Go ahead, come on.â
- When if Tubbo dies, Dream says, theyâll come begging for Tubbo to be revived, and Dream will ask to be let out.
- Tommy then says that this isnât worse than exile, because in exile, Tommy thought Dream had all the power, and Tommy knows something...he thinks the revive book isnât real. Jschlatt was just a drunk, why would he have this book?
Dream:Â âJschlatt gave me the book -- why else would I switch to Jschlattâs side?!â
...
âIâm not lying! Jschlatt gave me a revive book after...before he died....because...he said--â (he cuts off here)
- Dream asks why he would be lying about that.
Tommy:Â âYouâre a liar! Youâre a liar, and really, through your Netherite armor and skin, I look at you and you know what I see? I see a sad little man whoâs insecure about the fact that this server has gotten so far ahead of him that his only little glimpse of power in this world is gone. And I see an insecure, sad little man. So fuck off. You stupid green lad.â
Dream:Â âYour life...is literally in my hands. Does that piss you off? Does that make you mad? Does that make you so mad that I -- if you kill me -- I MIGHT AS WELL BE A GOD, TOMMY! YOU CANâT KILL ME, AND I CAN KILL YOU! So what does it mean, that you canât kill me because of the revive book -- what does that mean? If you canât kill me, does that make me some kind of god?â
Tommy:Â âNo Dream. I could kill you right now. If I wanted to.â
Dream:Â âOkay. But you wonât. But you wonât! I could kill you if I wanted to! I could kill you right now, actually.â
...
Tommy:Â âI donât think this revive book is real. Schlatt? Heâs fuckinâ dead. Iâve seen his grave! His grave is real, his corpse is there!â
Dream:Â âOkay...Why donât you go see him then?â
Tommy:Â âNO -- stop it stop it stop it st--â

CANON DEATH: TOMMY
Cause: Punched to death
--- ---
End of stream.
---
- Tubbo, Ranboo and Jack see Tommyâs death message in game chat.
- They go to the prison and Sam is there to tell them what happened. Sam couldnât get there in time. He didnât think Dream would actually kill him. Theyâre all in shock.Â
- Tubbo and Ranboo think Tommy will be back. Thereâs no way heâs actually dead, right?Â
- Jack Manifold is in celebration. He got what he wanted! He thought Dream would want Tommy alive, and killing Tommy himself would be an extra jab in the chest for Dream, but apparently not? And now he has a hotel!
- He decides to check on Tubbo and makes sure heâs okay.Â
- Jack walks down to the shore and looks up at the prison, and...it hits him. Heâs spent months plotting to kill Tommy. Jack realizes his victory feels hollow. Even now, Tommy and Dream have managed to take away this from him.Â
- Of Ze Haus, he says that this place no longer means anything to him. He gets a flint and steel and sets it alight, watching it burn.
- He passes by Tommyâs house and finds Ranboo planting red and white flowers outside.
- Jack switches into his Lâmanburg uniform and walks along the Prime Path.
Jack:Â âI remember the day I joined the server. The day after the first war. Lâmanburg was still a big hole, and we built it up. And Tommy invited me to join. And I betrayed him (laughs), so really this has all come full circle.â
âMaybe I was always really just upset because I always felt like he cared more about the discs than...anyone. And I guess I just enjoyed it when we were friends...and...Iâve not really had any friends...since...then, really. Never really wanted any.â
- Jack later speaks with Foolish and tells him that Tommyâs never coming back from prison. Foolish didnât know him too well, but heâs still a bit sad. When anyone passes, itâs sad.
- Jack heads back out into the wilderness, wandering to the beach area at the edge of the forest where Quackity had his argument with Badboyhalo a while back. Thereâs something just beyond the hill.
- Quackity meets him there and escorts him back home, telling him he was heading too close to something, could have gotten âa nice view of it.â
- Heâs been thinking of writing up a draft of their contract. He also sees the new McPuffyâs.
- Jack tells Quackity that Tommyâs not in the prison anymore. Quackity says they need to talk to him and make sure Jack keeps his hotel. As the rain pours, Jack tells him. Tommy didnât make it.
- Quackity and Jack have a moment in front of Tommyâs house. Though upset, Quackity says itâs time to get back to work.
Quackity:Â âJack...donât let this affect business. The train doesnât stop.â
Jack:Â âNo, it only goes faster.â
- Jack also speaks with Antfrost. Antfrost gives his condolences, and says heâll put together a celebration âof life.â
Ant:Â âBad and Sam will be happy...to attend, of course!â
- Afterwards, Jack heads down into Karls nightclub and ends stream there.
- Connor speaks with Sam Nook at the hotel.
- Bad meets Ant at the Holy Land. Ant asks if the church would be a good place for a celebration. Ant sits Bad down to tell him. Bad is overjoyed.Â
- Bad says that now, they donât even have to do any preparations:Â
They can move into the Final Stage.
- They get milk for the cake and decide to throw the party at Tommyâs house!
- They meet with Sam at the prison entrance. He sounds dejected.
Sam:Â âI didnât think Dream would ever actually...try and kill himâ
Bad:Â (laughs)Â âIs this the same Dream weâre talking about? Itâs Dream, Sam.â
Sam:Â âI mean...Dream had...I thought I had...broken the will out of him, to do something like that. But he...he did.â
- He says they need to find out what it was -- he wandered around the prison several times and couldnât find any sign that someone had done something.
- Ant and Bad try to reassure Sam that Tommy signed the waivers, he went to see Dream, and Sam shouldnât blame himself. Sam doesnât see it that way.
- They say theyâll talk to Sam later and leave the prison. They see Sam Nook at the hotel. Sam is excited about the new upgrades for the hotel! Tommy will be so excited to see them!
- They return to Tommyâs house and speak with Punz as they make a party floor and sing the Crab Rave song in dudududus.
- Meanwhile, Captain Puffy is grieving, feeling like she failed Tommy. As she logs on, Bad and Ant decide that Puffy might want to join them for the party!Â
- Punz meets them there, and they tell him that Tommyâs dead. Punz isnât sure how he feels, itâs bittersweet.
- Puffy arrives and angrily tells them to leave. Whatâs wrong with them?!
- The Eggpire sees Sam Nook at the hotel and goes up the floors to find a place to party. Puffy comes up and tells them to find another place to party. They argue again.
- Foolish arrives to visit his room in the hotel. Puffy leaves them. They quarrel about who has the room for the night.
- Puffy mines down the Eggpireâs meeting room. Sheâs noticed that being a hero hasnât worked. Sparing people, being merciful, it hasnât worked. She might need a change of perspective.Â
- The Eggpire decides to visit the Egg and break the news to it. They see the wreckage, but Puffy is in the Nether by the time they get there.
- Puffy visits Logsted.
- The Eggpire goes down to the Egg Room and finds the pathway blocked up with obsidian...is this why the Vines have been slower to grow lately?
- They break the barrier and find the Egg drenched in water. They wake up the Egg and it speaks.
âThis world is mine. It belongs to me.â
âNo no no, I know, but weâve got something to tell you!â
âI see all...I...am...all...â
âOh so you--â
âI know all.â
âYou know then! Guess -- well, weâll tell you anyway in case you donât know -- but guess what? Tommyâs dead! Dream -- the green guy, you met him -- killed him in the prison! I guess Tommy got stuck there, and Dream killed him! Are you happy?"
âFeed me...I require nourishment.â
âNo no no, donât worry -- thatâs coming soon! Weâll take care of that! Weâre already gonna begin the preparations, right guys? Yeah, weâre gonna begin the preparations, and weâll send out the invitations, weâll let everyone know...and the final stage can commence! This is wonderful!â
- Once on the surface, Bad announces that with a little more preparation, theyâll all get exactly what they want. The final stage is about to commence.Â
The day of celebrations, the day theyâve been preparing for, the day the Egg has been preparing for, is about to happen...
- Bad goes down to the Egg Room one last time and stands at the Egg to give a final speech.
âEverything leading up to this point, EVERYTHING, all the way going back to the discovery of this...beautiful, luxurious Egg, okay...we had it all planned. As soon as we found it, we knew what was gonna happen. We knew the objective...â
âWe may have forgotten what it was, forgotten the ultimate goal as soon as we boxed the Egg up in obsidian. But guess what -- that didnât stop the Egg! Boxing it up only made it STRONGER, and LARGER, and more powerful! And the Eggâs been storing up that energy, okay? You may have been thinking the Vines have not been spreading...but thatâs because we havenât WANTED them to spread. We have been working, storing energy, storing power...in preparation for the final plan. The final objective. And there were only a couple people getting in the way. But guess what? One of the biggest obstacles -- Tommy -- is no longer in the way...now that heâs not in the way, we can commence with the final stage...the final party...before it all comes to a conclusion...â
âBrace yourselves...everybody on this server, prepare. Anyone who is anti-Egg...you guys better get ready, because we know who you are. And at the end of the day, the Egg is gonna be victorious. And thereâs nothing ANYBODY can do to stop it.â
âGood luck.â

Acquaintances
Pairing: Wanda x Fem!Reader
Genre: Fluff
Description: Wanda meets someone who doesnât treat her like a villain, but she doesnât know who you really are.
Notes: I promise itâs fluff and not a trap. Also sorry about my hiatus, Iâm just super unmotivated to do anything. So hereâs my feeble offering to try and get back into writing.
- - -
Wanda groaned at the sight of a man with a camera. All she wanted was to pop down to the shops, buy some paprika, but alas, even a shopping trip was gold for the paparazzi. Maybe if she hid behind an aisle he would leave. But she heard the door open behind her. Ducking quickly behind a stack of tuna cans, she scanned the rows for the precious package.
She knew she wasnât the favourite of the public, and the guilt of what sheâd done ate her alive every night, but she was sick of being blamed. All she did was try her best, but this was the kind of thanks she got.
She frowned a little when she saw the man round the corner. She steeled herself, not wanting the tears to spring to her eyes. Turning around to face him, she- There was a person talking to him. You had a shopping bag in your hand, so you must have been another customer. Dressed smartly with a blazer, but paired with jeans and sneakers, you looked friendly, but the cold look you gave the man said otherwise. You exchanged words quietly with the reporter, and he seemed to refuse you, turning back to look at her. Realising that this was the perfect stall to get out of the store, she resumed her search. Cumin, Ginger, Paprika! Quickly glancing back to see how long she had, she saw you hand the man a business card as he hurriedly shuffled away.
âSorry about that,â you turned to her, looking genuinely apologetic.
âWhy?â she asked, it coming out harsher than she meant for it to. âIt wasnât even your fault.â
You shrugged. âYou donât deserve it.â
Wanda frowned again at this. She didnât even know you, but you helped her out, so the least she could do was be polite. âThanks.â
âNo problem,â you smiled. The two of you started to walk towards to counter. More like she did and you kind of happened to as well. âWhat are you cooking with the paprika?â
Sliding the bag to the cashier, she turned to face you properly. âI was making a traditional Sokovian dish.â
âIâm a big fan of trying different cuisines,â you replied, eyes sparkling with curiosity. âThat sounds delicious.â
Wandaâs not really sure why youâre trying to make conversation, but you didnât seem to have an agenda, so she indulged you with a response as the two of you walked out of the store. âIt is, my mum always had the best recipe.â
âAh well, my parents werenât around much, so I canât say the same,â you laughed, throwing your shopping in the back of what must have been your car.
Wanda hadnât even realised she had walked with you to your car. That was embarrassing. âWell, it was nice to meet you, but I should be going now,â backing away as quickly as she could without making a fool of herself.
âWait,â you called, âdo you need a lift back?â
âYouâre a stranger.â
âWell I know your name is Wanda,â you grinned cheekily, opening the passenger door. âAnd my name is Y/N. Guess weâre not strangers anymore. So, what do you say? Itâs the least I could do, with that man bothering you.â
Sheâs not sure what compelled her to agree, but she found herself sitting in a plush leather seat as you adjusted the rear view mirror. Tapping the dashboard screen, you pulled up a map to Avengers Tower and backed out of the parking lot.
You didnât seem to mind that she didnât make conversation, bopping your head gently to whatever pop song was on the radio. Instead she spent the time trying to figure out who you were and why you were being so nice. âItâs rude to stare, you know?â you winked at her.
Wanda felt the heat rush to her cheeks. âWha- No, sorry,â she mumbled. Sheâd done it again, made herself look dumb. You giggle, returning your eyes to the road. Trying not to stare at you this time, she observed the fancy watch adorning your wrist, and the sleek interior of the car. You must be a businesswoman of some sort, since this clearly wasnât your average suburban car. But you were wearing jeans. Maybe a lower level employee than?
She sat there musing, until the door suddenly opened. âWeâre here,â you smiled, gesturing at the grand tower that was now her home.
Why couldnât she stop being so awkward? This was the third time. Unbuckling the seatbelt, she stumbled out, clutching the paprika to her chest. âThanks again.â
âAnytime, Wanda.â And with a small wave, you hopped back into your car and drove off.
- - -
Heading straight to her room, Wanda abandoned her plans for paprikash. The whole interaction was quite frankly, baffling. No one was ever nice to her, except for the Avengers. But you clearly knew who she was, driving her back to the tower without an address. Tossing her jacket on her bed, she sighed. Itâs not like sheâd ever see you again. Thatâs when she noticed the card peeking out from the pocket. There was a phone number printed neatly on it, and a cursive scrawl underneath. âI am actually interested in the dish though. Could I have the name of it?â
She hadnât exactly interacted with anyone else, so it mustâve been you. Running her thumb over the ink, she was hit with a renewed sense of energy. Grabbing the paprika, she dashed back down the stairs.
- - -
Youâre spinning around in your office chair when your phone goes off. Clicking on the message, a small smile makes its way into your face.
Unknown Number: this is the dish i was talking about
Unknown Number: *image*
Unknown Number: itâs paprikash

âHey Wanda,â Tony called, a carefully wrapped package in his arms, âthis came for you.â
One look at the scarlet wrapping paper, and she knew who it was from. âThanks Tony,â she said, grabbing it and running to her room.
Setting the package gently on her bed, she untied the ribbon and unfolded the wrapping paper. Nestled in the middle, a box of cookies.
She grinned to herself. Wandaâs been texting you for a couple of months now, and now she could really say that youâre not strangers. She knows that you canât cook, but you can bake. Youâre a businesswoman âof sortsâ you say, and that youâre a pretty busy person. But regardless, you hang out with her, chilling in the local coffee shop, going shopping, even just a stroll around the park. She also knows that this happiness she gets when she sees you is definitely not platonic.
Opening the lid, the chocolate aroma wafts into her room. Her favourite of your baked goods. Thereâs a note tucked into the side of the box, and she delicately pulls it out. âBe my girlfriend?â she read, the handwriting obviously yours. Wait. Be my girlfriend? She sat there dumbly for a couple of seconds before it hit her. Youâre asking her to be your girlfriend. Wanda scrambled for her phone, snapping a picture to send to you.
Y/N: those cookies look delicious, who sent them?
The witch rolled eyes at your antics, but played along.
Wanda: idk, but i just got asked out
Y/N: whoaaaa, did you say yes?
Wanda: yes you dumbass
Y/N: okay, under other circumstances that wouldâve hurt, but iâm too excited to care right now <3
Wanda: ...
Wanda: did you try to bribe me with cookies?
Y/N: it worked, didnât it?
Wanda: i canât believe i actually like you
Y/N: honestly, me too
Y/N: sorry itâs a busy day, but you wanna come over for dinner?
Wanda: sounds good <3
Y/N: iâll come pick you up, see you then girlfriend
She didnât want bugs in her room, so Wanda grabbed the box to put in her kitchen cupboard. Balancing a cookie in her mouth, she was about to close the lid, when a hand pinched one. Eyes immediately glowing red, she locked onto Sam as he backed away, half eaten cookie and hands up in surrender.
âDo that again and I will give you nightmares.â
The Falcon whistled lowly. âOkay. Protective over cookies. Got it.â
âThereâs cookies?â Bucky asked, strolling in.
âNo.â
âOh okay.â
- - -
The heroes were sprawled on the couches playing a game of UNO when Wanda came down the stairs.
âWhat are you doing with that hoodie?â Tony asked sharply.
Wanda furrowed her eyebrows. âThis.. hoodie?â she replied, tugging on the drawstrings of the soft item of company clothing she was wearing.
âYes! Thatâs my enemyâs!â
She didnât really want to get into whatever nonsense the genius was spouting again. âMy friend lent it to me.â
âYou have friends?â joked Sam.
Steve gave the man a warning look. âItâs good that youâre adjusting to life here.â
âI think the important question here,â Natasha said from her spot, âis where are you going?â
âDinner,â she replied, trying to look as nonchalant as possible. She tried to fight the silly smile that crept into her face whenever she thought about you, but she mustnât have hid it well enough, since the red headed spy gave her a sickeningly sweet smile.
I hate you, she projected.
Nat winked back.
âBased on the way Miss Maximoff keeps anxiously glancing at the door, there is likely to be someone waiting for her,â Vision piped up. âI have searched the Internet databases, and from what I have gathered, your casual outfit means that you are going with someone you are familiar with. The sharing of clothes is usually reserved for close friends or romantic partners only.â
Of course the android had to get involved.
âYour heart rate seems to be speeding up Miss Maximoff. Are you okay?â
âWanda Maximoff,â Tony asked slowly, âdo you have a boyfriend?â
Thatâs when all hell broke loose.
âWho is he?â
âIs he hot?â
âWhere did you meet?â
âHow did you even get a boyfriend?â
âCan we meet him?â
âWhat-â
âOkay,â she groaned. Well it was bound to happen eventually. She just wished she couldâve gotten even a few months without the teasing. âI have a girlfriend, yes sheâs hot, yes Iâm going to have dinner with her, and Iâll ask about meeting. Iâm going to go now.â With that, she stepped into the elevator.
âDonât think this conversation is over witchy,â called Tony, as the doors slid shut.
- - -
âHey,â you smiled as she slid into the car. âWhat took you so long?â
âThe Avengers found out.â
You chuckled at that. âWhat, did they interrogate you or something?â
âSomething like that.â She paused. âThey want to meet you.â
âAre you sure?â
âTheyâre my family, and theyâll love you as much as I do.â
âCute,â you grinned, âbut I donât know about Tony.â
âTrust me, theyâre a mess a lot of the time, but theyâre good people.â
You checked through your phone. âI havenât got anything on around lunch tomorrow. I can come by then, how does that sound?â
âSo youâll come?â
âAnything for my girlfriend.â
- - -
Her green eyes locked onto you amongst the bustle of suits in the lobby.
âHey.â
You adjusted the grey fabric of your pantsuit. âHey yourself.â
âDid you wear the suit to impress me?â Wanda asked, delicately tugging on your tie.
âActually, Iâve got a meeting with the investors later. Gotta make an impression, you know?â
âWell consider me impressed,â she whispered against your ear.
Blushing, you allowed Wanda to lead you to the elevator.
- - -
Clint wasnât sure what to expect with you. But if Wanda liked you, you were sure to be one of the good sorts. So maybe like a cute girl she met at the cafe or something. He sure as hell wasnât expecting the confident girl dressed in a suit to step out of the elevator.
All of them were lined up in the common room and heâs pretty sure any normal person would have been intimidated by the sheer amount of Avengers in front of them, but you stepped up to them absolutely unfazed.
âMr Rogers,â you offered your hand to shake, âa pleasure to meet you.â
Steve was expecting to have to take the lead with introductions, but here you seemed to be handling yourself fine. âLikewise.â
âIs Mr Stark here today?â you asked him.
âHeâs a bit busy at the mo-â
Clattering and a string of curses interrupted him. And of course, the man himself stepped into the room, Iron Man debris in his wake.
âTony,â Steve scolded.
âWhat? Did you think Iâd miss meeting the girl who stole the heart of our cold antisocial emo?â
Wanda tossed a couch pillow at him, but he brushed it off.
âTony Stark,â he declared.
You shook his hand politely. âI know who you are Mr Stark.â
âAnd you are...?â
âY/N L/N.â
The genius might have been singed from his armour, but the moment that name fell from your lips, he yanked his hand away, as if he was burned.
âL/N. As in L/N Corporations?â
âThatâs me.â
Abruptly he turned to Wanda. âDo you know who this is?â he hissed. âThe greatest rival to Stark Industries. I thought you were introducing your girlfriend.â
You gave him a winning smile. âI am her girlfriend Mr Stark. And you may have made me your rival, but I can assure you that you are not mine.â
Sam snorted.
âWhat are you doing here then? Are you here to try and steal data? You canât...â
You paid him no mind as you winked at Sam. Spotting the metal arm, your eyes widened. âYou must be Bucky, right? Princess Shuri told me sheâd been working on some vibranium projects. Iâd love to take a closer look some other day if you donât mind?â
âHow do you know Shuri?â Stark spluttered.
âYou think that she only talks to rich boys who need her help? Sorry to burst your bubble.â
Nat couldnât help but smirk at this.
âOh and Iâve actually been working on some prototype Widow Bites as a bit of a free time project,â you added. âIf youâre interested, your opinion on usage would really help me to refine them.â
âOf course.â
âTraitor,â Tony glared.
Itâs at this point your phone began to ring. Glancing down, you offered a sheepish smile. âIâm sorry, Iâve really got to take this.â You turned to face the wall as your friendly tone turned professional.
The Avengers huddled together as your call went on.
âIs she using you for information?â Tony scowled.
Wanda scowled back. âSheâs my girlfriend Stark. Not everything is about you.â
He looked as if he was going to say more, but Steve interrupted.
âLook Tony, she seemed like a perfectly lovely girl.â
âYeah I like her,â added Sam. âShe can keep your ego in check.â
âIf Wanda likes her, Iâm fine with it too.â Clint said.
Wanda gave him a thankful look.
A cough came awkwardly behind them.
âI really hate to cut this short everyone, but somethingâs come up back at the office. Investors are a pain.â
âYeah go on back to your investors then,â spat Tony.
âWowâ you drawled, heading back to the elevator, âis the rich card the only thing you can play Stark?â
The light on the wall indicated that the cab had arrived, and you stepped inside the carriage which would take you back down, as Peter stepped out.
âOh hey Y/N, what are you doing here?â
âI was just leaving Pete, but swing by later, alright?â
âYou know it.â
âOh and I heard you liked the hoodie I gave Wanda, Mr Stark,â you called. âI can grab you one as well, since itâs my company. But I really do gotta run now. Nice to meet you all!â The metal doors slid shut on your grinning face.
There was a silence, before Tony turned on his protĂŠgĂŠe. âHow the hell are you on a first name business with her?â
âWeâre friends?â Peter offered.
âFriends?â
âShe went to college with me. She was super smart and we hung out and stuff. You know, what friends usually do.â
Squirming under his mentorâs gaze, he continued. âShe was too smart for college though, so she dropped out and started her company. It didnât mean we stopped being friends though.â
âWhy didnât you tell me Underoos?â
âShe figured you might overreact, especially with the web sho-â The boyâs eyes widened, and he made a mad dash for the stairs.
But Tony grabbed his wrist. âWhat were you saying?â
Peter sighed, running a hand through his hair anxiously. âShe helped me out with my web shooters in college, and since then, sheâs been developing them with me.â
âWhat?â
âShe knows Iâm Spider-Man and I work with her on my tech,â he said slowly.
The man surveyed his teammates, making deliberate eye contact with each and every one of them. âTraitors, the lot of you,â he huffed.
âI mean you gotta admit it,â laughed Sam. âSheâs college age, and built an empire to rival you. Not to mention that sheâs pretty, smart, has better PR and actual time management skills-â
âOkay I get it,â the genius cut him off.
âDonât be upset,â Clint smirked, âyou canât lose if youâre not her competition.â
Tony stomped off.
âDonât worry about him, heâll come around,â Steve said gently, nodding at Wanda who was fiddling anxiously with her rings.
âShe was cool,â added Nat. âTony can be a pain in the ass, but he knows sheâs a good person.â
Her phone buzzed in her hand.
<3: iâd say that went pretty well
Wanda: cannot believe you didnât tell me
<3: iâm really sorry babe, please donât hate me
Wanda: i could never
<3: just didnât want him to stop you from fraternising with the enemy or whatever
Wanda: iâd break the rules for you any day
<3: how romantic
<3: so miss rebel, you coming over tonight?
Wanda: depends if youâre still wearing the suit
<3: anything for you ;)

Bechloe Week 2021 - Day 5
July 30th: âYou donât know who I am, do you?â
Read on AO3
This is heavy heavy angst. Itâs pretty sad (imo) and also kinda long. So, you know, read at your own risk.
-
With a throbbing in her hip, and a tight pain across her chest, Beca eased herself out of the cab sheâd taken, and looked up at the entrance to Barden Nursing Home.
Although she visited several times a week, it seemed like they added more stairs each time she came.
âCan I give you a hand maâam?â
âWell that depends, Raheem,â Beca said. Her voice wasnât as strong as it had once been, but anyone who knew her could still detect the bite of sarcasm that filled almost every sentence. âAre you going to call me maâam again, or are you going to call me Beca?â
Raheem smiled at her from his driver side window.
âCome on Mrs Mitchell, I canât call you that. What would my grandmother say if she knew I was disrespecting my elders?â
Beca laughed and shook her head. âIf you insist.â She held out an arm for him to take, and he left his cab immediately.
Truthfully, she didnât think sheâd make it up on her own anymore.
The doctor had given her a year, give or take, but she knew her own body.
This would be her last visit to Barden Nursing Home.
âDo you want me to wait with the cab?â Raheem asked when they reached the entryway.
âNo, no,â Beca said. âThe girls are meeting me here, they can drive me home.â
âIâll see you next week then?â
Probably not. âIâll give you a call.â
Raheem was Becaâs favourite driver and he happened to be the owner of the cab company, so he always made sure he was the one to drive Beca to her destination.
His mother had been a fan of hers, heâd told her during one of their first journeys, which made her feel older than she was. Or older than she thought she was. It still surprised her when she looked in the mirror and saw an old lady looking back at her.
She didnât really recognise herself anymore.
Now that her hair was grey, her back slightly hunched, her joints sore and swollen.
They had taken her drivers licence a few years back due to her deteriorating eyesight, and her hearing wasnât what it was.
And now her lungs were shot. Her liver. Her heart.
Her body was failing her, worsening by the day.
She was in almost constant pain, but she still had her mind. Her mind remained as sharp as it ever was.
For that, she was grateful.
Most of the time, anyway.
Leaning on a cane, with a bunch of flowers in her other hand, she made her way through the reception area.
âMorning Beca,â one of the nurses greeted her warmly. âSheâs in her room today, didnât feel like being social.â
âThanks hun,â Beca replied. âHow is she?â
âOne of her better days.â
Good, Beca thought. Thatâs good.
If today was going to be her last visit, she wanted it to be a good one.
She knocked on door 216, and waited for a response.
âCome in,â came a voice that was both achingly familiar yet totally alien.
âHi,â Beca said, smiling warmly as she entered the room.
Chloe was sitting in a chair by the window, a blanket over her knees.
Her once red hair was now silver, tied in a neat ponytail. She was still looking outside, but Beca knew her bright blue eyes were now milky and flat. Clouded.
Chloe turned to face her visitor.
âCan I help you?â
Beca felt something hard lodge itself in her chest.
She would never get used to this feeling. She never wanted to get used to this feeling.
She waited for a sign of recognition. A smile or a twinkle, but there was nothing.
Chloe simply looked at her with a patient curiosity.
Well, Beca thought. Thatâs that, then.
âI was just wondering if you would like some company? Iâm new here and I donât really know anyone.â She placed the flowers in an empty vase of water that she knew the nurses had left there for her, like they did every time she visited.
âYes, okay. That would be fine,â Chloe said. âIâm Chloe Beale.â She held out her hand for Beca to shake.
Beca shook it, trying not to let the stab of pain show on her face at the sound of Chloe using her maiden name.
âBeca Mitchell,â Beca said, fighting the urge to cover Chloeâs hands with both of her own.
Even after all these years, Beca still wanted nothing more than to pull Chloe into her arms and kiss her.
She couldnât remember the last time theyâd really kissed. The last time theyâd lain in bed together while Chloe ran her fingers through Becaâs hair. The last time Chloe had been Chloe.
Chloeâs diagnosis and the progression of her illness had been sudden and devastating and brutally quick.
It was so cruel, Beca thought almost every minute of every day, that she still had Chloe so close yet she couldnât have been further from her.
âIâm afraid you canât stay too long,â Chloe said. âMy daughters are coming to visit later.â
She remembers the girls, Beca thought. Thatâs good.
Some days Chloe had no recollection of their daughters. Some days, Chloe had no recollection of any of them.
But once in a while, God, it was so rare now, Chloe would remember Beca and who theyâd been together.
âIs that so?â Beca asked. âHow old are your daughters?â
âOh, I donât know, middle-aged-ish. Oneâs older than the other,â Chloe said, waving a dismissive hand. âOf an age where they think theyâre old but they donât know theyâre actually still very young.â
âHmm, they must be the same age as my kids. What are their names?â
âWell thereâs Blake and, um⌠shoot. I had it. Begins with a BâŚâ
No it doesnât.
âNo it doesnât,â Chloe said, shaking her head. âHayley.â
Riley.
âRiley!â
Beca smiled. If only I could get you to remember me so easily.
âDo you have grandkids?â Beca asked.
âNo,â Chloe said with a sigh.
Yes you do. You have four, and theyâre beautiful.
âDo you?â
âYes,â Beca said. âA little too much energy for me to handle these days.â
Chloe seemed to study Beca for a fraction longer.
âYou know, you look a lot like my wife. Older, of course, but thereâs something about the nose and the smileâŚâ
Beca laughed because if she didnât she would cry. âIs that right? Well to be honest I wasnât going to say anything, but you look a lot like my wife.â
âHow weird,â Chloe said.
âShe was beautiful, just like you,â Beca said, fiddling with the wedding band she still wore.
âIs she still with us?â
Beca looked into Chloeâs eyes, searching for some semblance of the Chloe Beale she had fallen in love with. Searching for a glimmer of recognition. A spark. Anything.
âNo,â Beca said. âWe lost her a few years ago.â
âOh, Iâm so sorry,â Chloe said, placing her hand on Becaâs as if thatâs where it was meant to be. âHow awful for you. You must miss her terribly.â
Beca let out a small laugh and tears filled her eyes.
It was unbearable to mourn someone who was sitting two feet in front of you.
âMore than anything. We had,â Beca swallowed hard but her voice still broke when she spoke again, âthe best life together. She was my best friend⌠my everything.â
Chloe squeezed her hand. âHow lucky you are to have felt love like that. To have loved so strongly that even after all these years youâre stillâŚâ Chloe trailed off and looked out of the window again.
âDid⌠is your wife still with us?â Beca asked, wiping her eyes on her sleeve.
âMy⌠sorry, what did you say?â
âIs your wife still alive?â
âOh, I donât have a wife dear,â Chloe said, smiling. âThis ginger is single and ready to mingle as my grandkids would say.â
Again, that knife in her heart.
Her grandkids were back, replacing her wife, and with them a spark of the old Chloe.
âMaybe youâll meet someone here,â Beca said, the sadness taking hold of her now. Settling into her bones in the same way that the damp made her hip throb. âItâs never too late.â
âGod, youâre crying, are you okay?â
âPerfectly fine,â Beca said, smiling. âJust thinking about my Chloe has made me go all⌠well⌠foolish is probably the best word.â
âYour⌠Chloe?â
âMy wife,â Beca said. âHer name was Chloe.â She swallowed as she looked at the uncomprehending face before her. âShe was beautiful. So beautiful. Red hair and bright blue eyes and she was kind, and good, and safe. She was my best my soulmate. And she had a voice like an angel. Iâd giveâŚâ Beca swallowed again, âIâd give anything to hear her sing again. To hear my Chloe sing again.â
âBecaâŚâ
âDo you know what she said to me the first time we kissed? She promised I would never lose her. We were in a tiny apartment in Brooklyn and she promised I wouldnât lose her. But thatâs the kind of promise only a kid could make. They have no idea, how could they?â
âBeca.â
Chloeâs hand gripped Becaâs and squeezed it. Tight.
âMy⌠Beca?â
And there she was. Back like sheâd never gone away.
âChloe? You⌠you remember me?â
âOf course I remember you,â Chloe said. Then her eyebrows furrowed, and she looked around her room. âThis isnât our house.â
âNo.â
Chloe swallowed and nodded. âIâm⌠Iâm not well, am I?â
Beca sniffed and shook her head.
âAlzheimerâs?â
âAh ha,â Beca said, fighting to keep her voice steady.
âLike my mom⌠How long?â
âT-two years,â Beca said. âI tried to take care of you but then I fell and broke my hip and I just⌠I couldnât manage on my own anymore. The girls insisted. Youâve been here for about a year. You⌠you seem happy.â
Beca knew this lucidity wouldnât last.
Chloe would be gone again, and probably soon.
This was her last chance.
âI love you, Chloe Mitchell, do you hear me? My heart belongs completely to you. And one day⌠one day soon, Iâm not gonna be able to come and visit you anymore. And there may be days where you remember me, but you wonât remember Iâm gone, and youâre gonna feel hurt and betrayed. Youâre going to think I abandoned you,â Beca squeezed Chloeâs hand again, âbut I promise you, if it was up to me, I would never leave your side.â
âSo stay,â Chloe said, her voice breaking. âStay with me.â
Beca gave her a sad smile. âIn a few hours, you wonât remember me, baby.â
âHow could I ever forget you?â
âMom?â A voice spoke up from the doorway, and Beca turned to see Blake and Riley standing there. âIs everything-â
âGirls!â Chloe said, brightly. âCome in and meet my new friend Beca.â
No.
Not yet.
Please, not yet.
âYour new friend Beca?â
Beca forced the smile back onto her face, and she stood up.
âNice to meet you,â Beca said, looking into the faces of her daughters. âIâve heard a lot about you.â
She turned to face Chloe.
âYouâre leaving?â
âI should let you have some time with your girls,â Beca said. She took Chloeâs hand in hers, and looked at her wife for what would be the last time. âIt was truly a pleasure meeting you, Chloe.â
âIâll see you again I hope?â
Beca smiled. âOf course. Youâll remember what I said?â
Chloe tilted her head, her eyebrows pulled together in confusion.
âItâs okay,â Beca said. âI know you heard it. Itâll come back to you when you need it.â
âOkay,â Chloe said, still confused. âDo you think⌠would it be okay if we hugged? You can ask the girls, Iâm a hugger.â
She heard a small sniff and she saw Riley quickly leave the room.
âAllergies,â Blake said, quickly.
âOf course we can hug,â Beca said. âIâve had a wonderful afternoon with you Chloe.â
Chloe stood, her blanket slipping off her lap, and she wrapped her arms around Beca, and Beca hugged back as tight as she dared.
She buried her face in Chloeâs neck and breathed in.
She still smelled like Chloe.
âYou know Beca, I think weâre gonna be really fast friends.â
And everything inside of Beca broke.
âHey, what is it?â Chloe said, softly as Beca clung to her and cried.
âMom, itâs okay,â Blake said. She stuck her head out of the door and called to her younger sister.
Chloe shot Blake a look of confusion as this apparent stranger sobbed into her shoulder.
âYouâre okay,â Chloe said, softly. âCome on, now, youâre okay. Iâve got you.â
âI love you,â Beca whispered into her ear, choking it out between sobs. âDonât forget that, okay? I love you.â
âOkay, thatâs, um, very nice,â Chloe said.
Becaâs chest started feeling tight as she struggled to get air into her lungs.
âWhy donât you sit down? We can call a nurse and-â
âNo,â Beca said, quickly, struggling to suck air into her useless lungs. âI just need⌠in my bag.â
âHere,â Blake said, handing her her inhaler.
âThank you,â Beca said, taking several deep puffs from it. âIâm sorry. I shouldnât have⌠Iâm sorry, Chloe.â
She looked at Chloe again, and knew with certainty it was for the last time.
She had gotten a couple of minutes with Chloe - the real Chloe - this afternoon and that was more than she could have hoped for.
âIt really was lovely to meet you Chloe,â she said.
âYes, you too,â Chloe replied, although she sounded less than convincing. âSee you another time?â
âI look forward to it,â Beca said.
âRiley, why donât you make sure⌠Beca, here, gets to where she needs to be,â Blake said, looking between her parents with pain in her eyes.
âSure,â Riley said.
When they were away from the room, Riley pulled her Mom into a hug.
âThat was a rough one, huh?â Riley asked.
âUnbearable,â Beca said. âShe was⌠she was back. I had her back for like, five minutes. And thenâŚâ
Riley kissed her on the head. âCome on, Iâll get one of the nurses to get you some tea and when weâre done we can drive you home.â
Beca frowned. âItâs Thursday. Is Blake not doing dinner?â
âNo, she is, but you donât usually feel like company after a bad visit,â Riley said.
Beca waved a hand of dismissal. âI wanna spend some time getting climbed on by my grandkids. Will your new lady be joining us?â
Riley blushed like a teenager, despite being in her forties. âNot tonight, Mom. Itâs a bit soon for a family dinner.â
âOh come on, youâve been dating for months! I want to meet her, I have so many embarrassing stories to tell!â
âI know you do,â Riley said. âWhich is why weâre gonna wait a few more weeks before we scare her off. Donât worry, there are endless amounts of family dinners ahead of us for you to embarrass me at.â
Beca smiled. âOkay,â she said.
She hadnât told the girls she was sick. They had enough in their plates with Chloe, and she didnât want to add to it.
When the time came, yes, she knew theyâd be hurt. She knew that hurt didnât even come close to covering it. They had all but said their goodbyes to Chloe, but they had no idea that Beca would be beating her to the afterlife.
She knew if she asked them, theyâd rather she told them.
It was cruel to blindside them, but in a way wasnât it crueler to have them watch her slowly waste away in a hospital? To leave them saddled with medical bills that their inheritance would only just cover?
Because she knew her girls, they wouldnât just let her slip away. Theyâd want her to fight, and Beca was too tired for fighting.
No. She wouldnât do that to them. She had already written letters for all of them - including Chloe - and she had left instructions with her solicitors that they would get handed out after her death.
In her will, sheâd left most of her money to her daughters and Blakeâs four kids, along with a lump-sum donation to Barden Nursing Home.
Her affairs were in order.
The girls didnât need to know.
âMom? Are you ready?â
Beca smiled as her daughters approached, and she gratefully took Rileyâs hand when she offered it.
She was quiet on the drive back to Blakeâs house.
âSure youâre up for dinner, Mom?â Blake asked, glancing at her in the rear view mirror.
Beca smiled and nodded.
That night she basked in the attention of her grandkids.
The two twin boys - Jackson and Christopher, aged seven - kept trying to explain their favourite show to their grandmother.
They kept acting out scenes, speaking in odd voices, shooting each other with fake guns.
Beca tried to follow along but really she just wanted to watch them play.
The youngest - Davey, four - sat comfortably on her lap.
âGram read it?â He said, holding up a book.
âAgain?â Beca asked.
âPlease?â
âOkay,â she said.
âGrandma!â Christopher said, pulling her attention back to him. âGrandma! Look! Then the bad guys do this!â He aimed a finger gun at his brother and deepened his voice. âPrepare to die!â
âAh ha,â Beca said.
âGram,â Davey tugged at her sleeve and then placed a hand on his book.
âSorry,â Beca said, picking up where she left off from.
The noise and distraction was welcome.
It kept Becaâs mind from wandering. She needed a few hours where she wasnât mourning Chloe.
It was working until ten year old Anne walked into the room, looking far too somber for any ten year old.
âWhoâs upset you then?â Beca asked. âI might be old but I can still throw a punch.â
Anne smiled, but only just. âIs grandma better yet?â
Beca frowned. âNo, honey. Iâm sorry.â
Anne had been the apple of Chloeâs eye right up until the moment she started to forget her.
Blake and her husband David had made the decision early on that the kids shouldnât visit Chloe. It would be too hard for them to see their grandma and have her not recognise them.
âIs she going to get better soon?â
Beca let out a small sigh. âI donât know,â she said.
Anneâs face fell, and Becaâs heart broke.
She wished she didnât have to leave these kids behind.
âListen, your grandma loves you very much. And so do I. And we always will, no matter what.â
Davey started to fuss on Becaâs knee, and she turned her attention back to him.
âIf I wrote grandma a letter, would you give it to her?â Anne asked. âI donât want her to think Iâve forgotten her.â
Tears filled Becaâs eyes, and she smiled. âOf course. But you should give it to your Mom or aunt Riley. Theyâll see her before I do.â
Anne nodded, and went off to her room.
The rest of the night continued the same way every Thursday night dinner did.
Blake complained that Beca ate too little and that her husband ate too much.
The twins would devour anything left too close to them, and Anne would pick out any bit of vegetable she found, no matter how small it had been cut up.
Then Beca would attempt to help with the dishes until she was told to cut it out, and Riley would drive her home.
Before she left that night, she hugged and kissed each of her grandkids, and told them all she loved them beyond comprehension.
She kissed Blakeâs cheeks - standing on her tiptoes to do so - and briefly cupped her face in her hands. She told her she loved her too.
She patted David on the arm.
âYouâre a good man,â she said. âYouâll take care of them.â
âJeez, Mom, whatâs got you so morbid?â
âJust the joys of ageing,â Beca said.
She didnât know why she was feeling so sentimental that night, but she put it down to the emotion of the day.
In the car, Beca was quiet again.
âSomethingâs up with you,â Riley said.
âToday was tough,â Beca said, her head on the window. She turned to look at her daughter, and she seemed to transform in front of her eyes and back again. âHas anyone ever told you how much you look like your mom?â
âYou, every day since I was born,â Riley said, laughing as she ran a hand through her short, ginger hair.
âThis new girlfriend of yours,â Beca said, âis she nice?â
âWhat? Yes, Mom, of course.â
âShe treats you well? Sheâs kind? She doesnât blow up at wait staff or lose her temper in traffic?â
âSheâs great,â Riley said. âLook, you can meet her soon, okay? Sheâs just a bit nervous around parents. She⌠she didnât get on great with her own. They werenât cool when she came out.â
Beca let out a sigh. âPoor girl. Youâd think my generation would have grown out of that. Apparently not. As long as she makes you happy, and treats you well, then thatâs all that matters.â
Riley laughed. âWhat, are you trying to make sure Iâm married off before you kick it?â
Beca laughed too. âNo. I just want you to be happy, my girl.â
âI am,â Riley said. âAnd not because Iâm in a relationship, but because I just⌠am.â
Beca smiled. âGood. Iâve⌠Iâve had a very good life, Ri. And I donât think I realised how good it was, how lucky I was, until your Mom got sick. I wish I could go back and just⌠enjoy it. Savour it. Those moments I spent with your mom where we would just⌠talk. And be with each other. I wish I could tell myself to appreciate each and every one.â Beca wiped her eyes. âPromise me youâll do that?â
âMom, you sound like youâre giving me some goodbye speech.â
Beca smiled and shook her head. âPromise me.â
âI promise,â Riley said. âAre you sure youâre okay?â
âIâm sure,â Beca said.
They pulled up outside Becaâs home.
âYou want me to walk you in?â
âIâm not that old yet. I love you. You know that, right?â
âOf course I do. I love you too, Mom.â
Beca smiled at her daughter, and leant across the car to kiss her cheek.
âSee you tomorrow?â
âYeah,â Beca said. âI need to pop into town and pick up a prescription.â
âIâll take you.â
Beca smiled. âYouâre a good girl. See you tomorrow.â
Riley waved and watched as her Mom walked into her house and shut the door behind her. She drove to her girlfriendâs, her heart heavy with sadness for her parents.
Maybe tonight she should tell Sarah that she loved her.
It was true, she had always just been too scared to say it.
She wasnât sure what she was afraid of anymore.
Becaâs house was as quiet as it always was these days.
She made a cup of chamomile tea, and popped open the Thursday PM slot on her pill caddy. She took the handful of pills and swallowed them with a mouthful of tea.
Then she settled herself in her favourite armchair, and turned on some music.
She was tired.
Really tired.
It had been such a long day.
She felt a tightness in her chest, but it wasnât any worse than usual so she thought nothing of it.
The song changed and the opening notes of Titanium played out.
This was considered an oldie now.
Beca smiled, and closed her eyes as she remembered the first time she sang that song with her wife.
God, what a life theyâd had.
She didnât open her eyes again.

Ok so this idea was inspired by AUs where Tim Drake is a member of the Addams family and thus this cute idea was born
Ok so, Timâs parents still travel a lot but instead of leaving him alone in a big empty manor they leave him with his aunt and uncle Morticia and Gomez Addams
And Tim is a weird little kid who grows up without fear of the dark figures at night because the boogeyman is actually a pretty nice fellow who was very touched when Tiny Tim gave them a drawing of themselves, the monster in the closet actually gives great fashion advice as well as providing the perfect clothes for playing dress up, and the monsters under his bed are great storytellers and the shadow man gives Tim great advice on how to hide and use shadows to his advantage, etc.
The point is that Timmy grows up under the care of the Addams when his parents have to leave on long business trips or excavation sites and as such, is exposed to Gomezâs great appreciation of swordsmanship and fencing, and the haunted suits of armors are always great at comparing which kind of swords are the best in which kind of combat as well as the the importance of craftsmanship when in relation to having a reliable sword
And then one day Timmy watches the movie âThe Legend of Zorroâ and becomes absolutely obsessed with learning how to use a sword and fight with it in the way only little kids can become obsessed with something they find completely cool, and Gomez is so excited to be teaching Tim everything he knows and they work together to craft Timmy his very own mini rapier for learning how to fence (swords are heavier so Tim learns those from Gomez when heâs older and can parry more weight)
And Tim becomes very Focused and Serious on learning how to fence and heâs very excited when he manages to finally best his uncle in a fencing duel (not as excited as Gomez tho, âMY CHILD SHALL BECOME THE BEST SWORDSMAN YET MY LOVE, DID YOU SEE HIS TECHNIQUE, HAD I BEEN SLOWER HE WOULDâVE RIPPED OPEN MY THROAT IN ONE SWIPE, IâM SO PROUDâ âOur child dearâ)
And then the movie âCount of Monte Cristoâ comes out and both Tim and Gomez are super fans (as a whole the familyâs favorite movies are this one as well as the Legend of Zorro because 1. Revenge is achieved to the improvement of the main characterâs well being and 2. The Aesthetic) and Tim just focuses on getting the hang of swords now with Gomez being more than happy to help his darling nephew
So years pass and Timâs parents have finished one of their most taxing excavation digs so they return to Gotham and Tim has to return too (for the purposes of this AU Janet and Jack actually do give a fuck about their son so they would call him every other night when theyâre away and if they canât then at the very least they would call Tim once a week; they also call Morticia and Gomez at least once a week to check on how Tim is doing and they were also very happy to know that Tim has taken a liking to swords so they try to bring new types of weapons or literature related to weapons from the culture of their latest excavation so Tim can learn how different types of swords are wielded all around the world)
But anyway, Tim is going back to Gotham so he and Gomez work on creating a new sword for him with the family motto carved on the blade âSic Gorgiamus Allos Subjectatos Nuncâ which translates to âWe Gladly Feast on Those Who Would Subdue Usâ which is metal as fuck so yeah, and this sword is super durable and strong, inspired by a katanaâs durability and a rapierâs gracefulness with a blade that is such a dark purple that it looks black like obsidian and the inscription of the family motto is carved in letters that are ruby red with a black hilt where an image of a drake is engraved in the same ruby red as the family motto (basically it is a Very Deadly Sword that is also Very Pretty with a dark aesthetic)
So Tim gets back to Gotham and one day heâs watching the news and sees The Batman saving the day and what not and sees Robin do a quadruple back flip and figures out their identities and decides that he wants to meet them at some point while on his nightly photography sessions of Gotham architecture; and if he manages to snap a couple of shots of Gothamâs heroes sometimes then thatâs a bonus but Tim is mostly focused on capturing the essence of Gotham city (at this point in time when Tim moves back to Gotham he physically looks like 10-12 year old; he did meet Dick at the circus when he looked like he was 4 years old but for the purposes of the timeline Tim, as an Addams, can choose to remain at any age he desires for as long as he wants so while he did appear to be 4 years old at the circus, he had been alive for a couple of years more at this point, this also explains how he can master swords and fencing while physically looking like a 10 year old because he has been practicing for years as well as why he remembers Dick from that night at the circus)
So the timeline continues with Tim figuring out that the Bats are actually his neighbors but instead of staying away from the Waynes, he decides to go ask his parents if he can stay with the neighbors whenever they have to stay later than usual at the company or have to take a short business travel and they talk with Bruce about it and he agrees to take care of Tim, so now Tim has an in to befriend the Waynes and helps smooth out the edges of Dick and Bruceâs relationship so Bruce doesnât fire Dick from Robin, but rather they talk about their feelings for once and Dick decides he wants to create his own superhero identity and Bruce supports his decision (Tim may or may not have had to talk about how his family happened to be very open about their feelings and worry for one another and how much closer they are due to talking to each other and resolving conflict; Alfred may or may not have been 100% behind Tim every time he made such a conversation) also, Tim is basically a trial run for Dick on becoming a big brother for when Jason arrives
One time Tim asks Dick if he knows how to fence which Dick canât really answer because technically he knows how to fight with a sword but thatâs for vigilante purposes which his civilian self isnât supposed to know so Dick says that he doesnât and asks Tim why he wanted to know, Tim proceeds to talk about how his favorite masked hero uses a sword to fight injustice and he has a black cape and a black horse and Bruce comes into the living room theyâre in in the middle of Timâs rambling about his favorite hero using a sword and is Concerned for a hot minute until Tim finishes the rant by saying â. . . and thatâs why I like his movie so much, have you seen the Legend of Zorro?â (Cue relief for both Dick and Bruce because for all that they scrambled to put a name to the hero Tim was describing they couldnât come up with one and were considering the possibility of a new player in the vigilante scene) so then Tim asks Mr. Bruce if he knows how to fence and Bruce says yes and asks if Tim would like to learn cue the âOh, my uncle taught me how to fence a few years ago and when I lived with them we had a duel at least once a week, it was very fun so I was just wondering if you knew so we could practice if you want to Mr. Bruceâ
Dick is 100% on board with this because the idea of Tiny Tim and 6â1â Bruce fencing is hilarious in his mind, Alfred is there to supervise and both Tim and Bruce are provided with the appropriate fencing equipment and protection; Bruce starts off slow and is surprised when Tim manages to beat him before starting to enjoy fencing with someone who can surprisingly keep up with him (Dick is taking pictures because the height difference is just too cute to be ignored and Tiny Tim is adorable in his own mini fencing equipment)
Whenever his parents do have to leave for extended periods of time (any company trip that takes more than 3-5 days qualifies as this) Tim stays with his aunt and uncle, thus starting a fun tradition of having spontaneous fencing duels with his uncle Gomez, basically if one of them is in the library then the other will shout âEn-gardeâ while throwing a sabre towards the other person and engaging in a quick duel; basically, if Tim is reading about the latest poisonous plants produced by Poison Ivy and annotating his research in order to get an idea of what would be a nice gift for his aunt Morticia and Gomez walks into the library then Gomez will grab two of the sabres they have on the wall for this exact purpose while shouting âen-gardeâ before throwing a sabre at Tim and engaging in a duel, same goes for Tim, itâs almost instinct to the point that Tim has to hold himself back from doing exactly this whenever he sees Bruce in the library of Wayne Manor
Later on, when Jason is already adopted into the Wayne family, Tim still comes over and makes it his sacred mission to teach Jason the art of swords so he has another fencing buddy because âMr. Bruce isnât always here and I have decided that we will be friends and youâre pretty cool but knowing how to fight with a sword just ups your coolness level ya know?â So now Jason has smol Tim teaching him how to fence and itâs pretty fun to be able to do a taxing physical activity outside of being Robin with a friend, when Jason gets the hang of fencing Tim decides that he must now advance to the next level: sword fighting (Alfred is always there to supervise and give tips and pointers because he also knows how to fence but chooses to stay in the sidelines and let the young masters have their fun)
The problem with this is that, while the Waynes do have sabres for fencing, they donât have swords, at least not in their civilian selves, so Tim decides to bring his own swords to teach Jason how to sword fight, Alfred is the first to see Timâs very own special sword and is both impressed at the craftsmanship and concerned as to why a child has a sword, Jason thinks Timâs sword is the coolest he has ever seen and Tim is happy to talk about how he made it himself with his uncleâs help when he finally learned all about sword fighting and promises Jason that they can make him his own cool sword when he learns how to sword fight too, Dick also thinks that the sword is a little concerning for a kid to have but he also wants his own cool sword and so now he insists Bruce has to teach him how to sword fight because Tim said heâs not allowed to have his own sword until he learns how to sword fight, Bruce is baffled as to why Tim has a sword, impressed at Timâs skills in craftsmanship, and a little Concerned as to why Timâs sword has that Latin inscription on the blade (no Tim, knowing that âwe feast in those who would subdue usâ is your family motto doesnât calm me down yet it explains a lot about your mother)
By the time Damian comes along to the family he is very interested in where Jason and Dick got their Very Cool swords from, his father also has one and he wants to have his own Very Cool Sword too, thank you very much, and Tim visits them when Damian is still settling in and asks his customary question of if he knows how to use fence and gets an affirmative answer he asks Bruce if it would be ok for him and Damian to have a fencing duel, Bruce explains the rules to Damian and makes sure that Alfred, Dick, Jason and him are present in order to keep Damian from maiming/killing Tim
The duel does get a little out of hand as Damian gauges that Tim is more skilled than he previously thought so he stops holding back, Tim is positively grinning at this since he always has to hold back with the Waynes in a way that he doesnât with Uncle Gomez because while an Addams wonât die from a stab to the heart, the same canât be said for anyone else; the duel ends with Tim winning because he has more experience than Damian but he is positive beaming at how awesome Damian was and how these duels could become a weekly thing before they transition to swords and once Dames graduates from swords he can design his very own sword with Timâs help as a sort of graduation present for learning how to sword fight and heâs sure that it wonât take too long for Damian to master swordsmanship because heâs basically a natural already and very skilled and this duel was so much fun Damian we have to do this again sometime oh my gosh I want to teach you everything I know itâs gonna be so much fun
And Damian, a poor baby, was mad at having lost to Tim but then Tim hits him with all this excitement and smiles and itâs the promise of getting his own Very Cool Sword is what gets him to agree to learn from Tim, itâs not that he feels warm at getting compliments from someone who also likes swords and knows what heâs doing in a fight, he definitely doesnât find Tim cool at all, heâs just making use of a resource and he will learn everything Tim has to offer and become better than both Grayson and Todd, thatâs all (thatâs not all because it turns out that Damian is the younger brother Tim never had and he takes Dami under his wing and helps him adjust to a life outside the League of Assassins and how to find hobbies to enjoy; Damian wonât admit it but he is also Very Attached in to Timothy and feels like he wonât be judged for his past with him and he is also a fellow sword enthusiast so yeah)
Tim decides to do the same thing to Damian and initiating a quick fencing duel whenever he sees that Damian is in the gardens (no fencing inside the Manor on pain of Alfredâs eyebrow of disappointment); this helps Damian with the transition of learning to have fun and also learn to realize that not everybody is an enemy, it also helps keep up his training and burn some energy whenever he gets restless and helps him bond with Tim more
The idea was that Tim and Uncle Gomez would surprise each other with spontaneous fencing duels by shouting âen-gardeâ at the other person whenever they find one another in the library, and now it turned into a fluff AU where Tim isnât Robin but heâs still a family friend to the Waynes and an Addams and helps bring the family closer through his love of swords because yes
#Tim is an Addams AU#fencing AU#tim drake#humor#batfam#bruce wayne#dick grayson#jason todd#damian wayne#alfred pennyworth#Uncle Gomez#Aunt Morticia#Jack and Janet Drake donât suck in this AU#GĂłmez teaches Timmy how to fence#and i love that for them#fluff AU#Jason doesnât die here#Dick isnât fired here#Bruce actually communicates with his sons#due to Timâs influence and Alfredâs passive aggressive remarks on his behavior#he loves his sons and learns how to express his love and concern for them in a way that is clear for everyone#Damian and Tim bond over fencing#Damian definitely thinks that Tim is the coolest and names him his favorite brother#theyâre all friends#and together the four of them get up to the craziest shit#Tim isnât Robin here#but he Knows who the Bats are

âI deserve to rot.â âIt never mattered anyway.â And âYouâre supposed to be yelling at me! And⌠and hitting me! Why arenât you doing that?!â (Platonic) ďżźWith a happy ending for a young-teen slasher reader? Billy and Stu plz đđ love your storys
Warnings: Angst, a little bit of violence, Word count: 2950 Notes: Sorry this took forever to write also itâs the longest prompt iâve written
You sat down beside Billy on Sidney's bed and tried to hand him a glass of water which he refused, you sighed and set the cup down. You were never close with Sidney Prescott despite her being in your "friend group" but you wanted to be there for your best friend Billy since his girlfriend was just murdered by a lunatic in a cheap Halloween costume. The two of you had been hiding in his ex-girlfriend's room since the two of you arrived at the wake, Billy spent almost the entire time silent while you sat beside him just trying to keep him company while he grieved.
You knew that he blamed himself for Sidney's death and you didn't know if being here would be good for him but he wanted to be here, to see her room one last time. You watched as he stood up and walked over to her desk and fumbled with something on it before muttering something you nearly didn't hear. "I deserve to rot."
Your expression softened as you looked up at him. "Billy, no you don't-"
"Yes I do." He raised his voice and turned to face you. "I'm the reason she died, I- I could've saved her." He stopped once he realised what he'd just said and covered his mouth as his eyes glossed over with tears and you quickly stood up and pulled him in for a hug, he cried into your shoulder as you rubbed his back and said nothing, just letting him let out his emotions before the door opened and Stu walked in.
"I thought I'd find you guys in here." Stu spoke quietly, he came over and sat on Billy's right side. "How're you holding up?"
"Well, my girlfriend is dead, and you couldn't have arrived any later." He scratched his eye and stepped away from you, looking at the two of you. "We should get going, I just want to get this over with." Billy grabbed his coat that was hanging over the chair at the desk and didn't wait for the two of you as he walked out to his car. Stu looked at you.
"What is it?" Stu asked, sitting down on the bed.
"He still blames himself for her death, you know?"
"Yeah, Sid really meant a lot to him but he'll be fine."
"I don't know, Stu. I'm just worried that he's going to do something regrettable."
Stu shook his head, you swore he tried to hide a smile. "He'll be fine, Â trust me."
You just nodded in response and the two of you exited the house, finding Billy leaning against his car smoking. When he saw you he chucked his cigarette on the floor and stomped on it before getting into the car. The ride to the church was silent except for the sound of the radio playing quietly and Stu humming along in the backseat, the car slowed to a stop outside the church next to multiple news vans and other cars. People dressed in black filed into the church, Billy didnât move. âBilly? We donât have to go in if you donât want to.â
âNo I do itâs just that-â He ran a hand through his hair. â- I have to, I was her boyfriend. Uh, just, Iâll catch up with you guys, Iâm just going to talk to daddy dearest.â He pointed at Mr. Loomis who was not so subtly eying the car, you and Stu stepped out of the car and began walking up to the church.
You turned your head to see Billy stepping out of the car and walking over to talk with his father before you and Stu entered the church and found a free row at the back and sat down, throwing your coat down in the space beside you for Billy. âIâve never been to a funeral before.â
Stu looked at you. âReally? Well don't get too excited, someone just died." you rolled your eyes and scanned the room in the hopes you'd find someone who looked familiar but instead you just saw a bunch of your high school peers who you knew Sid never talked to, Stu caught onto this. "Yeah, I think about 10 people here actually knew Sid, the rest are just fans."
"Fans?"
"Yeah, a lot of these people are just here so they can say 'hey, I went to Sidney Prescott's funeral', and then there's mostly people who idolise the guy who killed her because they think he's a hunk underneath that costume. There are people out there who actually think the killer's hot. I mean, how messed up is that?" Stu laughed and a few seconds later Billy slid into the seat beside you and thanked you.
"What did your father want?"
"Oh he asked me if I had prepared that eulogy for the funeral. . .which I didn't." Billy ran a hand through his hair and looked around as Mr. Loomis walked in, making eye contact with him for a few seconds before finding his own seat. You turned to Billy and gently touched his arm, he looked down at you and you went to talk but the sound of feedback filled the room. You looked forward and saw a woman apologising and holding a microphone.
She introduced herself as Sidney's aunt and Neil's sister, she was the first of many people to give their speeches about Sidney. Finally, after what seemed like forever, a family member finished their eulogy about Sidney and stood in front of the podium. "Now I would like Billy Loomis - Sidney's boyfriend - to come up, Billy?" Billy stood up and awkwardly walked up to the front of the hall and got behind the podium, pulling out a folded piece of paper and unfolding it and looking at the crowd of people.
"Sidney. Sidney, Sidney, Sidney, where do I start with you?" Billy sighed. "Alright, I have to admit that this is just a blank piece of paper." Billy held the paper up and flipped both sides to the audience sitting below him as if he was a magician, an awkward silence filled the room. Billy awkwardly coughed and stuffed the paper into one of the pockets on his suit and apologised before continuing. "Sidney would've laughed. She was truly something, you know she didn't deserve this. I just wish I could go back to that night and save her. It just- it repeats in my head over and over and it haunts me. All I can see is her face and her voice- oh, her voice. I'd give so much just to hear her voice one more time or hold her. I just miss her so much." Billy bit his lip as his eyes began to water, he recomposed himself and continued his speech. "Sidney was such a beautiful person. I remember this one time when we were together. We were watching this horror movie together and there's this part where one of the characters gets possessed and he's just being thrown around the room, but she pauses it and turns to me and she starts talking about how she wants a future with me." Billy paused as scattered sobs filled the audience. "She didn't deserve any of this and I mean this with all due respect but whoever kill you, Sids, I'm going to fucking-"
âOkay thatâs enough, Mr. Loomis.â The person who announced him pulled him away from the podium and Billy joined you and Stu again in the back of the church as one of Sidneyâs relatives stood up to give her speech. Billy sat down looking surprisingly calm despite his short outburst, some people were still turning back to offer judging and amusing glances at him.
"You okay?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" He looked forward for a few seconds then looked at you, speaking in a hushed voice. "Hey, wanna ditch this? Grab Stu and meet me outside." He didn't wait for a response before getting up and leaving. Stu looked really confused and was about to ask about what happened but you shut him up by grabbing his arm and pulling him up, practically dragging him out of the building.
You both caught up to Billy as he was getting into his car and you noticed that he was acting completely different from how his was this morning let alone just a few minutes ago, it was as if he'd forgotten what'd happened or maybe he didn't care. You and Stu got in and Billy turned the radio up as loud as he could and barely let you put on your seatbelt before driving.
To be honest you were worried and a bit too scared to ask him what was going on. You would've asked Stu but he was back to his old goofy self and encouraging Billy's reckless behaviour so you decided to keep quiet and let Billy take you guys to wherever pleased him. Eventually you guys just ended up at a 7/11 - you were expecting a cliff or maybe a ditch but you were glad that you were alive. The three of you got out and Billy threw his arms around yours and Stu's shoulders as the three of you walked in and got a few questioning looks from the other customers.
Stu broke apart from your little group and began hunting down snacks in the snack aisle while you and Billy went straight to the slushie machines. "Hey, Billy? What was all that before?"
"What'cha mean? Oh, Cola or Raspberry?"
"Raspberry. I mean, you were devastated and now we're here." he began filling up two plastic cups and waited until they were full before handing them both to you.
"Eh, it never mattered anyway. Hey, go hand this to Stu and make sure he's not being an idiot." you took them and went to find Stu who from over the shelves, looked like he was one wrong move away from dropping all the crap he was holding. Still you were very confused about Billy's reaction but you assumed he was just having a mood swing to cope with Sidney's death. You glanced back at him before walking into the snack aisle and laughing at how stupid Stu looked.
"A little help here?"
"Sorry, my hands are full." You held up the two slushies and Stu ended up dropping everything on the floor. "Jeez, let me put these on the counter then I'll come help you." You shook your head while biting back a smile and found the front counter and set the drinks down as Billy passed you holding another cup. "Stu's in trouble." You laughed as you followed him to see Stu trying to pick up all the stuff he dropped plus a few extra chocolate bars from the shelf.
"At least you didn't drop the soda. Fuck, the soda." Billy dumped all the stuff he was holding and went to grab a 24 pack of coca cola cans, Stu giving him an 'are you joking' look and rolling his eyes as he picked up the rest of the snacks.
You helped them clean up the mess and ended up only buying 3 bags of chips and 12 candy bars instead of 20 bags of chips and 17 candy bars like Stu had originally planned, paid for them all and left. You got into the car and threw all the bags of snacks into the back for Stu to 'guard' and took a sip of your drink as Stu and Billy stood outside and talked.
A few minutes later they both got into the car. "Y/N, do you want to stay over tonight"
"Yeah, sure." You nodded and noticed Billy and Stu grinning at each other through the rear view mirror, not thinking much of it as Billy started the car and pulled out of the gas station.
"Thanks for staying here tonight."
"Yeah it's good." You said as you caught a pillow Billy threw at you and dropped it on top of the spread out blankets on the couch. "Are you sure your dad's cool with me staying over?"
"Yeah, he's working late tonight anyways."
Stu dumped all the snacks on the coffee table and ran into the kitchen to grabbed 3 cans of cola and fell onto your makeshift bed. "Okay so what are we watching first? We got Day of the Dead, Re-animator, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, or The Funhouse." Billy threw you another pillow which you immediately whacked Stu with, causing him to fall off the couch, you dropped down onto the couch and grabbed a bag of chips but Stu grabbed it before you could open them. "These are for the movie marathon." He stuck a finger up at you to wave in your face but you just kicked in and grabbed the chips off him again and opened the bag.
Billy rolled his eyes and grabbed one of the movies off the table and stuck it into the tv and sat beside you as the movie loaded on screen while Stu pulled himself off the floor and grabbed one of the coca cola cans and popped it open, taking a sip.
About two movies into the marathon the three of you ended up passing out but you were the first to wake up. Checking the time it was only 10:31PM and you really needed to use the bathroom so you got up and jumped over Stu's body and walked upstairs and found the bathroom and did your business. You came out of the bathroom and was about to go back downstairs when you noticed that Billy's bedroom door was opened and your curiosity got the better of you as you peaked downstairs and saw that the two guys were still asleep and creeped into the bedroom.
Billy's room was exactly what you'd expected it to be, some band posters on the wall above his bed and a messy room. You don't know what you wanted to see, maybe a naughty magazine loosely hidden under his bed, maybe a bottle of alcohol. You shrugged and went to leave his room when you noticed something behind his door and opened it to see a small pile of black material.
You opened the door and stuck your head out again before closing it and picking up the material which you were certain was just a shirt he forgot to throw in with the rest of his dirty laundry, but instead a knife fell out. It made a semi-loud noise as it hit the hard wood floor and you covered your mouth and hoped that it didn't wake up Billy or Stu - Billy especially. You went to pick up the knife but then you felt something else hidden in the fabric and turned it over to see a white mask, this is a Father Death costume, the same one used in the Woodsboro murders.
This could mean one of two things, Billy was another one of those losers who terrorises random people for fun, or he actually killed Sidney, and you really hoped he was just a loser. You quickly dropped the costume on top of the knife and kicked it into the corner where you found it and exited the bedroom and you were about to go back downstairs but then you realised that you needed answers so you grabbed the costume and knife and hid it behind your back with one hand and headed downstairs.
Billy and Stu were still asleep. "Wake up." You half-yelled, Stu managed to wake up while Billy stayed still, lightly snoring. Stu rubbed his eyes and looked at you before realising that something was wrong. He tried to get up but you held your free hand up and he began hitting Billy's chest, waking him up after a few hits.
"What is time it?" The two of them were still trying to wake up when you bit your lip and held up the mess of black fabric and the knife and their faces both dropped and turned pale at the same time. You dropped the contents onto the floor and without skipping a beat you walked for the front door. You didn't get far before Billy grabbed you and forced you to look at him. "Y/N, I swear it's not what it looks like."
"You killed her." You said quietly, Billy let go of you but you didn't really react. He expected anything from screaming to attacking but you just stood there, confusing him.
"I don't understand, youâre supposed to be yelling at me! And⌠and hitting me! Why arenât you doing that?â
"Well, I'm just trying to make this easy for you. If you want to kill me, then do it."
Now Stu had stood up and was watching the two of you, Billy bit the inside of his cheek. "We're not going to kill you, Y/N." He took a step closer to you and you took a step back. "Y/N, please. We have no reason to hurt you, think about that. I only killed Sid of her mother." He took another step towards you but this time you didn't move.
You didn't know what you wanted or if you could trust either of them. Billy got closer and gently pulled you in for a hug, slowly wrapping his arms around you and resting a hand in your hair and rubbing your back. "I don't know why but I trust you." You whispered just loud enough for him to hear and his grip on you slightly tightened - not in a claustrophobic way, but more comforting as you felt yourself melt into him. "Just don't kill me."

Okay.Â
*Deep breath*Â
I think Iâm finally calm enough to put into words exactly why I hated the finale and why I wasnât completely surprised that I hated it.Â
(Heads-up: this is really long and pretty negative. If you disagree, I would of course appreciate your point of view and love to hear it, but just thought Iâd let you know in case this is the kind of post you would like to avoid.)
To me, it felt like every character on the show got betrayed in some way or another, but the main ones are Han Seo (devastatingly), Chayoung (obviously) and Han Seok (bear with me).Â
Cha Young:Â
She started out as a solid FL who annoyed some people for sure, but who had so much promise as someone unconventional and bold. The way her motherâs death affected her and caused a clear shift in her personality was a super interesting plot point that really never got explored. We have no idea how she came to sacrifice her morality in joining Wusang, just that she wanted to spite her father, which is a very superficial exploration. She gets cute idiosyncrasies in lieu of an actual character and an actual character arc.Â
We also, halfway through the show, seem to forget that her father's death was the initial trigger. Cha young does not suggest bold ideas or intricate plans, she doesnât fill the gaps Vincenzo is incapable of filling (because that would require that Vincenzo have flaws, and thatâs not something the writers can abide), and sheâs literally victimized in episode 19 and bedridden in episode 20, and that is IT.Â
Someone who started out supposedly as Vincenzoâs equal just became another piece in his chess set, no matter how important a piece she may be.Â
So her role as a badass avenger is trashed. That leaves her role as a love interest. Now, as Vincenzoâs love interest, she was supposed to get kidnapped in like episode 5 or 6 at the most if the villain has any brains whatsoever (Han Seok may or may not, more on that later). We need a reason for that not to happen too early. Cue villain is somehow in love with her for all of 15 minutes or so throughout a 20-episode series because a love triangle is inconceivable with the showâs current structure and for its purposes.Â
So, she spends 15 or so episodes making the first move on Vincenzo, every time, putting herself out there, creating cute moments, getting nothing in return, and then he leaves. No confession, nothing much, he wasnât even going to say goodbye or give her the choice of coming with him.Â
Iâm sure more chayenzo-oriented fans have already expressed all the necessary outrage over this, so Iâll move on to the part that Iâve personally been way more emotionally invested in from the get go: the Jang brothers.Â
Han Seo:Â
I was among the minority that hated the âVinny hyungâ angle from the get-go and Iâve ranted about it in another post, so I wonât get into it here in-depth, but basically it was because I felt like Vincenzo hadnât earned it, so to have the last words Han Seo hears be âYou deserve to be my brotherâ or whatever the fuck he was on about PISSED ME OFF. Itâs VINCENZO who doesnât deserve to be Han Seoâs brother and hasnât done a single thing to earn it. He was a good ally. The situation he allowed Han Seo to be a part of was beneficial to him, but Han Seoâs attachment to him was neither healthy nor heartwarming, and it certainly wasnât returned on the level he offered it.
Vincenzoâs disregard of his death didnât strike me as odd because I never saw enough indications that this was a two-way street and Han Seoâs safety and well-being came second so often that I didnât get the impression Vincenzo was doing much to keep him alive. This is what I meant when I said the show was glorifying a torture survivorâs trauma responses. Han Seo himself, as a torture survivor, meant nothing to them. He was just there to create one more contrived comparison between Vincenzo and Han Seok. Instead of recovering from the trauma, itâs simply employed to someone elseâs favor. He doesnât go to prison for Han Seok, he takes a bullet for Vincenzo, and weâre supposed to see that as so much better.
All of that might (JUST MIGHT) not have ruined the show for me if heâd died better. 1) It was narratively pointless and totally avoidable, 2) they couldâve framed it as heroic, but instead Han Seokâs hand patting his head is pushing it down, so he canât even get shot with his chin up and his back straight, Taecâs already taller, so the angleâs fucked and the whole cinematography screamed âkicking an injured puppyâ and most certainly NOT âsurvivor finally stands up to his abuserâ. The final nail in the proverbial and literal coffin is that he is mourned by no one. Theyâre FLIRTING not 3 MINUTES LATER, it felt so tone deaf and left such a bad taste. As I said, I didnât expect significant mourning from Vincenzo (gotta say, I didnât expect no mourning, that was a shocker), and Cha young and the tenants had no real interactions with him and no reason to mourn him, which left only one person who could.Â
Which brings me to Han Seok.Â
Han Seok started out as a solid villain, clear goals, clear skills that help him achieve his goals and basically make him a villain worth defeating, and a very complex relationship with both his own psychopathy and his brother.Â
Let me get it out of the way: I do not believe Han Seok is capable of killing Han Seo because he had every reason and every opportunity to do so in previous episodes and couldnât do it (I say couldnât because a certain degree of reluctance is in itself inability). Han Seoâs danger far outweighed his material value the minute he shot Han Seok and then completely lost any value once he came out to the world as the chairman and it became clear that the prosecution would be going after him if anything happened, and not his brother. But time and again, heâs proven heâs all bark and no bite when it comes to Han Seo (killing-wise, specifically).Â
The scene where he asks him to beat Vincenzo to death could be interpreted as him wanting to give Vincenzo the âpainful deathâ he would have given him, but honestly, I think he was way past that point. He just wanted him dead in the âYou crazy? we have to kill him before he kills usâ sense. To that end, killing off a key ally of Vincenzoâs, who betrayed you and almost got you killed a bunch of times, should take priority, but Han Seokâs priority is reclaiming Han Seo by forcing him back onto his side. Now, much like his âlove for Cha youngâ, Han Seokâs keenness on not killing his brother was essential to the writers so that Han Seo can justifiably make it this far and still be useful to Vincenzo (he canât help if Han Seok completely excludes him from all events, plans and management processes, so Han Seok needs to want to keep him on his side enough not to do that even when itâs more prudent).Â
All of this isnât to say itâs unbelievable that he would kill Han Seo, but itâs DEFINITELY unbelievable that he would stay the same man after killing him. Someone here (Iâm sorry, I donât rememebr who) once said that Han Seo had become, over time, far more of a foil to his brother than Vincenzo was. To me, this means that Post-Han Seo Han Seok would be out of balance (tilted screen), unhinged in a way he never was before. The Han Seok we see shrugs and âoh, wellâ-s and moves on in a flash, not really any different from the villain he was four minutes and a whole brother earlier.Â
This is very consistent with the way the show has been de-humanizing him from the start. Iâm not saying this to defend Han Seok in any way, heâs a serial killer, an abuser and a total maniac. But you can be all those things and still a human being. In fact, you can ONLY be those things if youâre a human being. The show used its villain vs villain idea to justify a lot, but in the end, Vincenzo had to be a protagonist. He had to follow up every âIâm a villainâ with a contrived âbut at least Iâm not (insert something worse).Â
On the level of humans:
1) Vincenzo is supposedly different because he doesnât hurt children or women (unless the women deserve it, and shooting a parent in front of their kid doesnât count as hurting.)Â
But we never see Han Seok hurting women or children either. In fact, if we proceed with the âchayoung is the myung hee of the good guysâ comparison, he hasnât hurt any women nearly as badly as Vincenzo did.Â
2) Babel vs MafiaÂ
Babelâs corruption is compared a lot to the mafia, with Vincenzo commenting repeatedly that the people are WORSE than the mafia...which is bullshit. Babel is a set of companies that provide goods and services, but use illegal means to maximize their profit, so they hurt/kill people in the process because they want more money and care about money more than ethics. The Mafia is an inherently criminal organization that functions PURELY on the basis of its criminality. Every single dime Vincenzo spends is blood money. None of it is clean. And while weâre on the topic, I find the whole âtaking Miri under his wingâ thing pretty unreasonable too because he tried to have her killed you guys, I cannot believe weâre just glossing over that. He had everyone who worked on that vault killed, just random fucking construction workers. And heâs not sorry. And the show tells you he shouldnât be.Â
3) Repentance
Han Seok says outright he wonât atone, and while Vincenzo says no such thing out loud he just...doesnât repent, I guess. He keeps the blood money, he goes back to being a full-time mafia dude doing mafia things. He leaves the same man he arrived.Â
So, if on the level of harm inflicted upon humanity, Vincenzo and Han Seok are pretty much equal (and Vincenzo might actually be worse), then why should we root for Vincenzo?Â
Well, my friend, thatâs where the dehumanization comes in!Â
I was initially very excited to see their portrayal of a psychopath because of the very interesting ways in which the informal moral code and official justice system surrounding a psychopath/sociopath/narcissist affect their behavior and their chances of not turning out rotten, and the show looked like it was looking at corruption in general.Â
But as the show went on, the villain vs villain thing proved not to be enough, Vincenzo has to be better in some way (or if youâre as obsessed with him as the writers are, then ALL ways), so it became a villain vs monster narrative. Vincenzo isnât ethical or fair or in any way interested in having a remotely positive impact on society, but at least heâs A HUMAN BEING unlike SOMEBODY. So, the characterization goes to shit, Han Seok becomes a cartoon card-board cut out of a villain and emphasis is put on how pointless his violence is, as opposed to how purposeful Vincenzoâs is.Â
This is dangerous on multiple levels (and I promise this is the last point Iâm making).Â
1) For people in general, dehumanizing abusers/murderers/etc. makes us very liable to forget that you donât have to be âa monsterâ to cause harm, and it makes people complacent in their belief that they are ânot bad peopleâ since they arenât total monsters. The Banality of Evil is a thing, and in this series, it goes completely ignored. No one is inherently incapable of good or inherently undeserving of humanity.Â
2) For victims of abuse in specific, itâs dangerous to portray abusers (including serial killer and non-serial killer ones) as entirely bad and unlovable, because it poses the dual risk of making victims less likely to acknowledge their abuse if it comes from someone who cares about or loves them on some level because the idea that someone cannot both love and hurt you is so stereotypical. Your abuser can genuinely want you in their lives and need you and, on some level, love you, and IT DOESNâT MATTER if that love doesnât stop them from hurting you.Â
On the other hand, portraying the victims of abuse as capable of flipping an off switch and hating the abuser with no hesitation or second thoughts to the point of unapologetically and cheerfully helping someone kill them and having no mixed feelings about it sends the message that if you CANâT do that, then are you really abused? Are sure youâre not complicit in your own abuse? Do you even want to get rid of them?Â
So this is basically why the way the show ended was so painfully disappointing for me. And the main reason it hit so hard was that it was initially so good and had so much promise. I really expected more.

When Sirius first showed signs of his rebellious nature, Walburga wasnât worried. After all, many children were incapable of sitting still in large gatherings, mouthing off to their parents, or incessantly teasing their younger siblings. âHe will be kept in good company. He will learn,â Walburga would say to her husband. He often exasperated her, but there was no denying her immense pride. Despite his antics, even at a young age, Sirius displayed impressive magical ability and had a commanding presence â excellent qualities for the heir to the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black.Â
She worried only a little when he preferred to spend time with Andromeda, who was clearly becoming disillusioned with their family values, and Alphard, who Walburga believed was beginning to get a little too soft. Still, the Blacks were not raving lunatics. They were traditionalists, committed to upholding the high standards of Wizarding society. Sirius would not defy them, not when the weight of their bloodline rested on his shoulders, not when Regulus would never be able to stomach such responsibility.
On his first night at Hogwarts, Sirius didn't write home. It wasnât until the morning after that Narcissa delivered the dreadful news to her mother. Walburgaâs sister-in-law relished discussing this most recent embarrassment, as the familyâs attention was now off her daughterâs courtship of a mudblood. Young Sirius, their direct heir, was sorted into the House of Muggle-lovers and blood traitors, into the House of Godric Gryffindor.
Blown apart by this development, Walburga turned to her younger son. She had no intention of repeating her mistakes and resolved to train him for the responsibility that should have belonged to her eldest. That way, if she was unable to correct Siriusâs behavior, she had back-up. Her legacy was secure.Â
During every subsequent holiday, she noticed that the damage was getting more-and-more irreversible. Sirius unabashedly consorted with infamous blood traitors and pathetic half-bloods. He seemed to dread seeing his family as much as she dreaded seeing how much of him she had lost. She tried; no one could say she didnât. But she was too stern with him. He had inherited his flexibility, or lack thereof, from her. She pushed him too far away. Soon, he stopped returning home for Christmas. When he was sixteen, she spat at him as he closed the door to Number 12 Grimmauld Place one last time, without sparing her a final glance.Â
He never expected he would have to return. Offering up the property to the Order seemed like a good idea at the time â he hardly put any thought into it. That was how he made most of his decisions. His track record certainly proved so. When Remus didnât have anywhere to stay, and neither did the newly-reformed Order of the Phoenix, Sirius knew that his family estate in London was not just their most ideal option, but also the only one they had.Â
He managed to enter undetected in his Animagus form with Remus. He had to hand it to fate â there were no extra security measures to keep him out. It was as if she anticipated his arrival. Swallowing, he absorbed his surroundings. Despite the eerie silence and decomposing furniture, it looked like an image straight from his memory. Sirius suddenly felt sixteen again.Â
What he did not expect to see, however, was a currently-sleeping life-sized portrait of Walburga Black in the hallway. Though now in his human form, Sirius growled inadvertently. She knew. She always knew that he would come back. She wanted to be there when he did. Unbelievable, he thought to himself.Â
Aware of Remusâs wary gaze on him, Sirius walked forward and began pulling on the frame. âGet off, you hag! Remus, help me get this off!âÂ
Remus went to join his old friend in what seemed like a fruitless mission in his mind but came to an abrupt halt when the portrait, disturbed by her sonâs grunts, awoke in a flash of fury. âFilth! Scum! Abomination of my flesh! You are no son of mine,â portrait-Walburga hissed.Â
âShut up, just shut up!â He had not heard her voice since he was near a Dementor, reliving the worst of his teenage years. The visual made it much, much worse.Â
âPermanent Sticking Charm, it seemsâŚâ Remus said to appease his friend, pulling the withering velvet curtains over its towering frame with all his strength.
âThis is torture,â sighed Sirius. âMaybe we can find another place.âÂ
Remus refused to meet his eye. âFor now, it is all we have, Sirius. If it was going to be a problem, you should not have offered it to Professor Dumbledore.âÂ
Sirius frowned. âItâs all Iâm able to do this time around. Itâs not like I can go around trailing Death Eaters and infiltrating the Ministry with everyone else.â
âHopefully, itâs only temporary,â assured Remus, though he was equally as uncertain about Siriusâs fate as a fugitive. âTry not to let this place get into your head, okay?âÂ
Sirius Black was never good at keeping promises. He had three-and-a-half decades of evidence to back that up. In the weeks following, the Order settled in, consisting of many highly competent Aurors, half-a-dozen Weasleys, and an ex-Death Eater he could do without seeing. Sirius found himself never too far from alcohol, itching for more access. He longed to see Harry and to get away from his wretched house-elf, along with the constant, stinging reminder of his mother's existence.Â
But there was something else inside of him, something he couldnât describe. It was an emotion that was egging him on. He felt it inside of him every time Kreacher muttered complaints about wandering red-headed blood traitor brats. It swirled in his stomach when his mother shouted scathing insults at the clumsy half-blood and filthy half-breed that took temporary refuge in the former pure-blood paradise.Â
Then she came.Â
She was new. She worked at the Ministry; many of his houseguests were incredibly fond of her. He recognized the innocence in her eyes. It was the same innocence that he had when he first joined the Order seventeen years earlier. It was the same innocence that differentiated every new member from every returning one â they had yet to see tragedy in its fullest form.Â
âHello,â she greeted. She seemed strangely unperturbed by the fact that she was in the presence of an alleged mass murderer. âIâm (Y/N). Iâve been told this is your house. Thank you for playing host.â
âMy pleasure,â responded Sirius. Involuntarily, he reached for her hand and kissed it. Suddenly, he became painfully aware of his hollowing cheeks, untamed hair, and liquor-infused breath.
She flushed slightly at the gesture. Black family habits die hard. Just because he chose to refrain from practicing them did not mean he had forgotten, nor did it mean that he wasnât any good at them.Â
Walburga Blackâs portrait watched her son fall in love with her. Sirius watched her watch him. There was no telling how she would react. Regulus was dead â it was up to him to preserve their familyâs name and purity.
(Y/N) was witty and flirty and incredibly intelligent. He found himself feeling a decade younger as he enjoyed their banter and her overall easiness. Before long, she kissed him in his dimly-lit pantry, and he was too selfish to stop her. They would kiss in every corner of the house, hardly caring that anyone was watching, ignoring the ghosts living within the walls. For Sirius, (Y/N) was his greatest act of defiance. She was born to non-magic parents. As narrated by a disgruntled Kreacher to his now-helpless mistress, she was nothing but a âfilthy mudblood.âÂ
One night, weeks after the children departed for Hogwarts and the house was, as on most days, empty, he caught her staring at the Black family tapestry. Without making a sound, he inched behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. âHello, beautiful,â he whispered, pressing a kiss on her shoulder. âSickle for your thoughts?âÂ
She leaned into him. As the days went on, she would tire easily. Still, she found happiness in Sirius as he did with her, and they both were old enough to know to reach for it in any capacity they got. âItâs nothing. Itâs stupid. Letâs get to bed.âÂ
âAs much as Iâm a fan of that idea,â he started with a smirk, âyou look upset. Is it work? Fudge?âÂ
âNo, nothing like that.â Her fingers traced his blasted name on the wall. She looked thoughtful. âIâve just⌠noticed something about you.âÂ
âOh yeah? Whatâs that?âÂ
âThe way you look at your mother.âÂ
Sirius raised an eyebrow. âWell, itâs no secret that I hate her. I hope thatâs not off-putting. Youâve seen what sheâs like â it was worse when she was alive. I promise Iâm a gentleman in general circumstances⌠for the most part,â he added cheekily.Â
She smiled tightly. âNo, I get it. It must be terrible for you, being back here.âÂ
âIt is,â he affirmed. âIâve got you, though. You make me happier than anything, love.âÂ
âThatâs the thing,â she uttered as if it pained her. Sirius could stare at her fiery expression for days on end. To be on the receiving end was strange. âI canât help but think that youâre only in love with me to spite her. Like your feelings arenât love, theyâre just a culmination of your hatred for her.âÂ
It took Sirius an eternity to process what she just said. Realizing that he was not going to say anything, she continued. âBelieve me, I know you hate it here. But at the same time, you look so⌠satisfied. Youâre hosting a bunch of blood traitors, half-bloods, and a werewolf in this place that was once the pinnacle of blood purity. Youâre providing a haven against the bloody Dark Lord. And worst of all, youâre with a mudblood.âÂ
âDonât call yourself that,â interrupted Sirius harshly.Â
âItâs the truth. If you werenât in this position, would we even be together?âÂ
âOf course,â said Sirius. To answer this question, he didnât even have to think. âI love you because youâre you. Youâre beautiful and smart and make me laugh until my stomach hurts. Youâre so good with Harry and you can put anyone in their place. You make me feel new again⌠God, thatâs fucking sappy, but itâs true. I indeed hate this place and I hate her but⌠but if I let her dictate my choices, even when sheâs bloody dead, then sheâs won. I donât want her to win. If I was only with you for your blood status, then I would be no different from my mother.âÂ
She stared up at him, her eyes betraying a wave of emotions. She reached up to kiss him, tangling her fingers in his hair. âThank you for saying all of that. Just hold on for a little while, alright? Soon, weâll be out of here. We can have our own house â you, me, and Harry.âÂ
He smiled at her sadly. It seemed too unreachable of a goal to him at the moment. âBy the beach?â âWherever youâd like,â she answered, leading him to his bedroom, his only sanctuary in the horrible house.Â
As they made their way towards the stairs, Sirius glanced at the tapestry over his shoulder, at the seven generations of Blacks behind him. He gently squeezed (Y/N)âs hand. For the first time in his entire life, he felt the weight of carrying his name lift off him. Heâd done his part to corrupt his bloodline. It was time for Sirius to focus on himself in a way that the shadows of his past never allowed him to, even in his schoolboy days with James. Being a Black was a part of who he was, and even a disowned Black deserved his long-overdue happiness.

a/n: part 6! i honestly don't know how long this series will be, but i think i may end it at either endgame or TFATWS. so basically going through all the movies lmao, but skipping over a few. i just want honeybee and bucky to be happy but gotta add some angst.
Transitioning into a new world, the year of 2011, was no easy feat, and you appreciated Director Fury being somewhat patient and honest about how much has changed. Him, and apparently one of your biggest âfans,â Phil Coulson, have been the most helpful with your adjustment, teaching you all about the new technology and supplying you with a new phone, courtesy of S.H.I.E.L.D.
However, along the way, were a few speedbumps. You and Steve trained consistently in S.H.I.E.L.D.âs gym, almost leaving no room for sleep or taking proper care of yourselves. You both knew it was terrible, you should be looking out for one another, but the loss and confusion overran your needs to live a normal life. However, over time, he seemed to adjust better than you, as expected. Even though Steve had only been awake a few months before you, he jumped right back into the new world.
For you and Steve, the both of you had seen Bucky a few weeks ago; you had seen Steve a few minutes ago, from the time you had woken up. To everyone else in the world, including Steve, however, that was history, a moment written in textbooks ages ago; and for Captain Rogers, that moment was months ago.
In your mind, you deserved to release your anger out on some punching bags.
It had taken Director Fury and Agent Coulson a while until they shared the news to you and Steve, that Peggy was alive. They had claimed that since they found Steve, high hopes were in store for finding you, hence saving off on telling him beforehand. Steve had immediately wanted to see her but you hesitated; what would Peggy say to the both of you? How would she react to you both being alive? No matter, Steve had begged you to come along to visit Peg and you caved, giving him some time with her before he called you in.
Peggyâs eyes lit up, ây/n, youâre alive! SweetheartâŚâ
You smiled, pulling up a chair next to her, âhey, Peggy. Howâs the strongest woman alive doinâ?â
She sighed, grasping your hand, âbetterâŚmuch better. Howard never stopped looking for you, the both of you. Heâd be so happy to see you.â
You sucked in a breath as her eyes turned glossy, âwe know, Pegs. We know.â
She held back her tears as she continued, âhe had a son, Anthony; just as stubborn but smart as Howard. Youâd love him.â
Steve chuckled, âsounds like a handful.â
Peggy laughed before falling into a coughing fit, turning away for a few seconds. After regaining her breath, she turned towards you and Steve, âSteve! Y/N! You â youâre both alive; you came back!â
Steve gave a sad smile as your face fell, âyeah, Peggy, we didâŚâ
Steveâs eyes teared up, âI couldnât leave my best girl; not when she owes me a dance.â
Over time, the visits to Peggy became too much and you needed to rest. So, with little convincing to Director Fury, you found yourself in a small cabin in Bozeman, Montana, with frequent visits by both Coulson and your new female friend, Natasha Romanoff. At first, you hated the idea of someone visiting you during your time to reflect, but once you realized that she wanted to help you train and become used to your super serum abilities, you appreciated the company.
You barely had any time to adjust to your newfound strength, among other things, and you slowly became grateful that Natasha had joined you over the course of a few months. Sure, sometimes she was so nosy and bossy, waking you up in the ungodly hours of the morning to train, but she had slowly become one of your closest friends.
Honestly, some days it felt as if you just met Natasha the day before:
You stood in Furyâs office, arms crossed, as he stood adjacent to you, Coulson awkwardly standing beside him. âWhy are you sending a babysitter to a place where I am supposed to be, oh, I donât know, relaxing? Reflecting?â
Director Fury grumbled for the umpteenth time, âbecause, Agent L/N, you never know when the day will come where we will need you and Rogers, along with your special abilities. You are unskilled in hand-in-hand combat, among other areas in defense, and itâd be nice to enhance our agents.â
You uncrossed your arms, still very pissed off, âI donât want them to visit me every day. Thatâs my one condition. I need time, Nick; I feel like I havenât properlyâŚtaken everything in. I just want time to myself.â
Phil spoke up beside Fury, âand we respect that, Y/N, we truly do. But we hope you also see where we are coming from. Natasha Romanoff is very skilled in her profession and understands your situation â youâre in good hands.â
âPhil, youâre making me blush,â a female monotonous voice spoke.
Whipping your head around, you were met with a beautiful redhead who definitely seemed like an Agent, someone who meant all business. Youâd learn later on that was just a façade.
âI- Y/N L/N, you must be Agent Romanoff,â you said, holding out your hand.
Natasha grinned, shaking your hand in hers, âjust call me Nat, Agent sounds too formal. I look forward to seeing what that super soldier serum truly did to you.â
Apparently, not too much as she continuously kicked your ass in combat.
Training with Natasha was, well, with your lack of combat, embarrassing. You had your ass handed to you so many times, it was a bit pathetic â but she always told you that you were improving. You used your heightened senses to your advantage, listening to her footsteps and figuring out what move she intended to use next. You hesitated to use your strength at first, but with continued training, you knew Nat could handle it.
With Nat, you also became very skilled in shooting handguns, rifles, the whole nine. Your aim was impeccable and target training was becoming a breeze. The thought of shooting someone terrified you at first, but when Nat reminded you that hesitation could get you killed, you understood â there was no room for mistakes.
During your stay in Montana, you kept in touch with Steve, but only through short texts. He was not thrilled with you leaving him, but he understood where you were coming from; you needed to mourn but also keep busy, careful to not fall into a dark abyss. Fury kept you updated, telling you that he had pushed himself into training continuously and visiting Peggy all he could. You knew seeing Peg was doing Steve no good whatsoever, and your heart ached...but at least he got to see his long love.
Nat had been there when Buckyâs birthday passed, holding you as you cried, unable to leave your bed the day of and a few after. She held you as you yelled at the sky for taking away the most important person in your life, leaving you so alone. She knew you had Steve, but it wasnât the same â you needed Bucky. But she also knew by letting you cry, your emotions out of your body, youâd feel so much more at peace.
And she was right.
Natasha also told you about Howard's son, Anthony, and from what you saw on the news, that was definitely Howard's kid. Tony was arrogant, self-absorbed, but did what he thought was right. After his declaration of being Iron Man, you followed Tony all over the internet, but hearing first hand from Natasha of the man that Tony was...Howard would be proud. You wished to meet him, you did, but something pulled at your heart, telling you that Tony probably hated you for taking his dad from him, forcing Howard to become obsessed with finding you and Steve and thus, costing him his life.
Natasha told you he might see you in that light, yes, but if you ever got to know Tony, he'd warm up.
You werenât healed and you still werenât okay, but you wereâŚbetter. You hated whatever being there was in the sky for taking your James, but you came to terms with it. But the one thing you were so resentful about was the fact that there was no body, no funeral for him.
Becca hated that, too.
You had visited her in her old age, just like Peggy, and the two of you held hands as you talked about James and Steve â your boys. She had missed you so much, just like she missed Jamie, and she understood your pain the best. She had tried to encourage a search party for him, to have some closure, but the government refused. He was gone, and they couldnât send more men to find a disfigured body.
You hated thinking about that, what James would look like. It haunted you in your nightmares, waking you up in the wee hours of the morning, his frostbitten body staring right back at you. Phil had found you a morning after such nightmare, sitting on your porch in nothing but an oversized shirt and a blanket around your shoulders, cheeks wet with fresh tears.
You sniffled once more, wiping your nose with the back of your hand, watching as a black car parked into your dirt driveway. The car opened and Phil Coulson emerged, as expected - on time for your monthly visits. Hugging onto the blanket tighter, you shivered against the cold air, hoping Phil would just leave upon noticing your state.
He did the exact opposite.
Phil took off his jacket, resting it upon your shoulders even though you had the blanket. You sniffled, inhaling his scent, and hugged the jacket closer, feeling Phil take a seat next to you on your wooden bench.
"I always found snow to be soft, almost like a cloud, falling down upon it when James and I would make snow angels," you began. A shiver ran down your spine as you continued, "but now, I can't help but think of his body just...plopping onto the ground so roughly that he was hurting, still alive, yelling out for anyone and..."
Phil ran his hand over your head, brushing your hair back, "freezing."
You glanced to Phil, "freezing to...to death. He must've been so scared, I-"
Phil shushed you as the tears formed, "no what if's, y/n. He's safe now - that's what matters most. You're okay, and so is he."
Your bottom lip trembled as you held onto the dog tags, nodding to Phil's words, "you're right, as always."
Phil gave a tight smile, "let's go inside and heat up some milk, 'm getting tired myself." Coulson held your hand for the rest of the night.
Trying to convince yourself to get some closure, you told yourself that the next time you were in Washington D.C., youâd visit the museum and read all about Bucky, all that he had done, and see the amazed looks of citizens who saw him as a hero. Your James Barnes was a hero to so many people, including yourself, and you should be able to celebrate his goodness from when he was alive.
You were going to go the next day until Director Fury knocked on your door at 2:30 in the morning, holding a file labeled âCLASSIFIED.â
You raised an eyebrow, âcouldnât have given me this at a decent time?â
He narrowed his good eye, âitâs urgent, didnât have time for formalities, your highness.â
With a snort, you grabbed the folder from his hands, âglad you know how to properly address me. What time do we leave?â
Fury tilted his head toward the quinjet, directing your eyes toward Steve who stood alongside Natasha, âonce you get dressed, Agent. Youâll have time to look over the file in the jet.â
You werenât sure why you got dressed so fast; seeing Steve for the first time in about 6 months, finally going on a mission, or just getting some new sense of scenery. Either way, you engulfed Steve in a hug and he laid a hand on the back of your head, âhey, honeybee.â
Your heart ached whenever he called you that, but you figured it was one of the last things he could hold onto Bucky as his dog tags laid against your chest, âhey, Stevie. So, whatâs the deal?â
Reading over the file while Nat gave more information about Clint â someone else who you had grown quite close to â you grew confused. You looked to Steve, âthe Tesseract. Thatâs the blue cube thatâŚdisintegrated Schmidt, right?â
Steve nodded, âlooks like Howard recovered it and itâs been in S.H.I.E.L.D.âs hands since, but this guy, Loki, wants something to do with it â Hydraâs secret weapon.â
Fury spoke up from the front of the jet, âthat scepter he has, it controls the minds of anyone it touches, including one of my sharpest agents. The Tesseract could be the key to unlimited sustainable energy â thatâs something the world sorely needs. Falls into the wrong hands, wellâŚâ
You shook your head, âyou shoulda left it in the ocean.â
Silence overtook the quinjet until Phil came over to your seat, sitting beside you, âIâd like you to come along to recruit another member, if you donât mind.â
You gave a small smile to Phil, âum, yeah, thatâs fine. Where we goinâ and who are we recruiting, Coulson?â
Phil seemed a bit nervous as he spared a glance to Nat, who nodded her head, âTony Stark, Iron Man.â
You sucked in a breath, âHowardâs son? You want me to come along?â
Phil laid his own hand upon yours that rested in your lap, file forgotten about, âI do, and I hope you wouldnât mind tagging along.â
Holding back your tears, you nodded, âyeah, yeah, Iâll come. When do we leave?â
âOnce we land in D.C., weâll take a quick trip to New York. Easy car ride.â
You squinted your eyes, âisnât that like, a 6-hour drive?â
Phil gave an uneasy smile, ânot with me driving, weâll be there in 2.â
You chuckled, âas long as I get there alive, I donât really care how we get there.â
In all honesty, the drive to Stark Tower was relatively calm, save for swerving through traffic and going way too fast for your liking. Once you arrived, you and Phil talked to the impressive AI named JARVIS who told you both that he was informing Mr. Stark of your arrival.
âImpressive Artificial Intelligence,â you whispered to Phil, âdefinitely Howard's kid.â
Phil was about to respond until JARVIS spoke up, âMr. Stark is not in, Agent Coulson.â
Your friend pursed his lips together, âplease tell Tony that this is urgent and we need to speak. Now.â
Very quickly, Tony ignored your calls until Phil hacked into the system, overriding JARVIS and his protocols. Phil spoke into the phone, pulling you inside the elevator, âMr. Stark, we need to talk.â
Tony sighed on the other line, âyou have reached the life model decoy of Tony Stark. Please leave a message.â
Phil rolled his eyes, causing you to let out a snort, along with Pepper Potts on the other line, âthis is urgent, Tony.â
You and Phil stood in the elevator, about to reach his floor as Tony responded, âthen leave it urgently.â Right on cue, the elevator doors opened and Tony held up his glass of champagne, âsecurity breach, itâs on you.â
Tonyâs eyes glanced over your figure as you stood beside Phil, Pepper getting up from the floor to greet him, âPhil! Come in. Iâm sorry, I donât think weâve met yet, Miss?â
You smiled at Pepper, meeting her halfway and shaking her hand, âAgent Y/N L/N, Miss Potts.â
Tony stood beside Pepper, âthe infamous Miss America, Capâs sidekick. Howâs S.H.I.E.L.D. treating you? Always annoying you with something, barging in without your knowledge, telling you that you've been asleep for 70 years?â
Phil spoke for you, âIâm afraid we canât stay. We need you to look this over as soon as possible.â
Tony shook his head, âI donât like being handed things.â
You let out a chuckle as Pepper took the folder, âthatâs fine, because I love to be handed things. So, letâs trade.â With a quick switch of hands, Pepper gave Tony the folder as she handed Phil the glass of champagne, âthank you. Anything for you, Y/N?â
You shook your head, âno thank you, Miss Potts.â
You took a moment to look Tony over. Peggy was not kidding â he looked exactly like Howard, and certainly acted like him, too. They had the same eyes, the same face, and the same attitude; it was almost like looking at a clone of Howard. Your eyes filled with unshed tears but you pushed them back, taking a small breath as Phil continued, âthis is not a consultation.â
Pepperâs eyes grew wide, âis this about the Avengers? Which I know nothing about.â She looked guilty once the words slipped.
Tony sighed as he walked away, opening up the folder and looking through it quickly, âthe Avengers initiative was scrapped, I thought â and I didnât even qualify.â
Pepper shrugged, âI didnât know that, either.â
Tony continued, âapparently Iâm volatile, self-obsessed, donât play well with others.â
You mumbled, âkind of like Howard.â Tony pointed his finger towards you as he nodded, âand she speaks of him!â
Pepper nodded her head, âthat I did know,â ignoring his comment towards you.
Phil shifted his weight, âthis isnât about personality profiles anymore.â
Tony grunted, âwhatever. Ms. Potts, got a second?â
As the two were talking, screens were lit up of you, Steve, and others fighting, and you stumbled back with a slight gasp, still new to the whole holographic stuff of technology. Phil turned towards you, asking you if you were okay with a look, and you nodded. Pepper looked towards you both and back to Tony, whispering, âmaybe while working on this, you can get to know her. Get to know your dad. Iâll take the jet to D.C. tonight. You have homework â a lot of homework.â
The two kissed before Pepper headed your way, âso, any chance you two are driving by LaGuardia?â
Phil nodded, âI can drop you.â Pepper smiled, âfantastic!â
The two began to walk towards the elevator as you looked on at Tony who held a holographic Tesseract in his hand. In that moment, your brain convinced yourself that was Howard, your Howie.
Tony turned towards you, âyou joining them or you just gonna stare?â
You took a step back, a frown on your face as you mumbled an apology, meeting Pepper and Phil in the elevator. Pepper turned your way as the doors closed, âIâm sorry about him. When it comes to his dad and you, he gets a bitâŚâ
You finished her sentence, âjealous. He missed out on a lot and I can imagine Howard spent too much time talking about me or Steve instead of him. I understand.â
Pepper gave a tight smile.
In a few short hours, you, Phil, Steve, and a few other S.H.I.E.L.D agents were on your way to the helicarrier, something that only a few of you knew about. You sat next to Steve, looking over Dr. Bruce Bannerâs files, examining videos of him as Hulk, and how he was trying to recreate the super soldier serum. You had known about Dr. Banner and honestly, had become one of his fans â when he was in his human form, of course. His works on nuclear physics and gamma radiation greatly interested you and upon reading many of his published articles, you had completely forgotten about his condition. Having the opportunity to meet him in person was certainly one of your dreams and you just knew Bucky was making fun of you for being such a dork.
Phil stood up from his seat, walking towards you and Steve, leaning above you both. Steve looked to Phil, âthis Dr. Banner was trying to replicate the serum they used on me?â
Phil nodded, âafter Howard Starkâs death in 1991, Dr. Banner made it his mission to replicate it. A lot of people were. You â you both â were the worldâs first superheroes. Banner thought gamma radiation might hold the key to unlocking Erskineâs original formula.â
Steve looked uneasy, âdidnât really go his way, did it?â
Phil shifted his weight as he looked towards you, then to Steve, ânot so much. When heâs not that thing, though,â you interrupted him with a glare, âsorry, the Hulk, the guyâs like a Stephen Hawking.â
Steve looked to you, confusion written on his face. You shrugged, âa really smart person.â
Silence enveloped the three of you until you nodded to Phil, urging him to continue. Phil seemed all giddy, âI gotta say, itâs an honor to meet you officially. Iâve sort of met you, I mean, I watched you while you were sleeping.â
You snorted as Steve nervously smiled at Phil, covering your face as he continued, âI mean, I was present while you were unconscious from the ice.â Steve stood up as you continued laughing, making his way to the front of the jet, âyou know, itâs just a huge honor to have you on board this.â
You followed Phil, clapping him on the back as Steve overlooked the ocean, âthank you for that, Phil, truly.â
Steve elbowed you as he mumbled, âI hope weâre the people for the job.â
Philâs eyes lit up, âoh, you are â you both are, absolutely! We, uh, made some modifications to your suits, by the way.â
You glanced towards Phil â now this was what you missed.

Natsuo Headcanons- Part 2!
Part 1 wasnât too popular but Iâm not going to sit on this goldmine of Natsuo content sitting in my notes đ¤
He's actually very protective of Shouto, there aren't many times when it's visible, but he wishes he had been there more
Whenever he's at home he keeps a close eye on Shouto to make sure Endeavor hasn't been training him or abusing him otherwise
He's not gonna repeat the same mistakes he made with Touya, he's determined to be a good big brother and build a relationship with Shouto
He wants a normal family just as much as Fuyumi, but as long as Touya's missing they'll never be truly together
Asexual Natsuo, anyone?
He takes psychology classes and gains a much broader perspective on his family dynamic
Oh and he's also quirkless
You know he's the family disappointment (of course until Touya returns), he used to doubt Endeavor would willingly acknowledge him because of the shame it would bring to him
In Endeavor's eyes quirkless people are the weakest, so you could imagine the disappointment when Natsuo was just. A normal kid.
Also you'd better guess it's difficult living in a world where you and your family's abuser is publicly praised
Natsuo has one friend who is an Endeavor fan, and it's a rocky relationship
See Endeavor's name isn't common knowledge because most people could care less, but it's out there if you're desparate enough to know
Case in point Natsuo regularly deflects suspicion because "Todoroki is a common name, it's not a big deal"
But while Natsuo actively denies being related to Endeavor, he's not gonna lie about Shouto being his brother. It doesn't take much to put two and two together
He has the last (and only) photo with all of his siblings before Touya died as the lockscreen on his phone
He's super supportive of Shouto, and he recognizes the mental strength it takes for him to work with Endeavor in a professional environment. He personally can't be in the same room as Endeavor for more than a few minutes, but praises Shouto's maturity in that sense
Again he's trying really hard to build a relationship with Shouto, most of it is encouraging him from afar
You can bet he was yelling at the screen for the sports festival, he knows how much Shouto hates his fire side but you can bet he's a little miffed at Bakugou for knocking him out, until of course Bakugou saved his life but that's beside the point
He actually enjoys cooking, yeah he's not the best at it but he's being compared to the g o d d e s s that is Fuyumi
Anyone's cooking would taste bad next to hers
And you know as much as he hates Endeavor he still seeks his approval
So he'll never admit it but it definitely hurt him when Endeavor made some offhand comments about his cooking and he doesn't enjoy it as much anymore because it's just another way he's a failure
He still bakes tho
Definitely the person who makes friends by bringing baked goods to every event
You can bet his friend group is awesome as well, they're all super supportive of each other
They're the sort of kids who cash in for pizza parties and movie marathons in the lounge room
He doesn't drink and doesn't really intend to once he's of age either- Endeavor wasn't exactly an alcoholic but there have been enough 'incidents' as it is that he made up his mind a while ago
He's on academic scholarship; he wasn't too keen on asking Endeavor to sign all his college forms so he applied for scholarships out of spite
Yes, he does a lot of things out of spite but it's gotten him to where he is today so he's not complaining
In the rare event that he's pissed at someone other than Endeavor, he becomes very passive-aggressive
But like, in a way that his professors can't penalize him
He'll take advantage of any loophole in an assignment and end up doing the opposite of what was asked, except the final product is so well crafted nobody can really discredit him
Yeah I'm getting oddly specific but you can't blame me for projecting onto him
Okay back to basics
His favorite color is (obviously) blue
Purple is a close second
Naturally he's biased against red
I wanna say he's a dog person, but because he wasn't around animals much as a kid he actually prefers fish
He has a fish tank on his desk to keep him company while he studies
Sleep schedule? Who's she?
On that note he drinks. So much coffee. He'll get a triple shot of espresso at 6pm
His fears are more abstract, than anything...There are a lot of specific moments in his childhood that he can draw on, so his biggest fear is probably that Endeavor will lose control again and hurt one of his siblings
Like he already lived through his worst fear when he lost Touya, and he doubts anything can hurt more than that
(There was no way of knowing that Touya being alive again was a close contender, trying to murder Shouto and all)
Part 1 here
Thatâs all for now, again feel free to add on and reblog if you want a part three ;)
