I’ll preface this video with the warnings, starting off with it is hella angsty. I don’t know what I was on when I started this but… it’s not jolly. Second:

Alr so uhm. Yeah, as stated in the video, I started this in December of 2022. So. It’s a tad bit old. I thought it would be fun to post it on the first day of 2025 and be like, “hey! Look at how my art progressed!” But then I uh…didn’t finish it in time and also that just felt inappropriate (?? 💀) so uhm. Here you go!

I really, really like to play around with Jack and Sammy’s relationship. Of course when I started this, I was a bigger fan of it being one-sided than I am now, but I’ll roll with it. So that’s pretty much what the animatic is about. I’ll leave it sort of up to interpretation with the specifics because I’m not really sure I have a set idea myself.

Es ist mal wieder Montag, und während ich auf der Arbeit einen handwerklichen Nervenzusammenbruch schiebe werde ich an der Familienfront wohl demnächst mit meiner Tante eines dieser leidlichen klärenden Gespräche führen müssen, die schon in Gedanken so unangenehm sind dass totaler Kontaktabbruch gerade doch echt verlockend klingt. Der Akkordeonspieler nimmt seine Rolle als Ersatzfamilie ernst und fragt, ob er mich zu meiner Tante fahren soll- einfach, weil nach so einem Gespräch drei Stunden einsame Rückfahrt 'ne räudige Aussicht sind. Die roundabout sieben Stunden Fahrzeit die dabei für ihn rauskommen würden klingen aber genauso räudig. Ich bin mit der Gesamtsituation überfordert.

Jacob’s a gifted kid

One time Fiona had a wool hat (beanie) and she gave it to Millard

Hugh and Bronwyn have canonically killed people and Enoch hasn’t

Enoch is at least emotionally intelligent and he proves this multiple times

Enoch being a jerk is masking and he proves this multiple times

Hugh has fuzzy striped socks (they’re bee socks they’re absolutely bee socks I will die on this hill)

Jacob, at one point and at least in his own perception, was chubby (on a similar note: Enoch can wear Jacob’s clothes)

Enoch slept in a broom closet once

Julius is an adult and Horace is not

Bronwyn exists

Victor’s character is entirely fanon we do not canonically have a damn clue what he was like other than the fact that Enoch said he was his friend, he was Bronwyn’s brother, and one time he accidentally sunk a boat with everyone else on it

Fiona has two lines of dialogue in the entire series and she has such a thick Irish accent that Hugh had to make her slow down for anyone to understand her

Fiona (and presumably Hugh if he wasn’t leapfrogging) is the oldest peculiar. It’s not Enoch. She’s sixty years older than he is

Emma was written the exact same way as Noor was before she and Jacob broke up. The only differences are that Emma is worse at communication and Jacob feels less of a need to protect her than Noor

Millard never apologized to Hugh or Fiona (also hot take I guess but I don’t think second trilogy Millard was out of character at all)

Enoch is not a rapist.

Horace is just as snarky as Enoch is

Horace is very capable of taking care of himself. He just also has anxiety

Jacob canonically has PTSD and anxiety (and possibly depression)

I am also guilty of this but nowhere does it ever imply that Enoch has depression I don’t actually know where we got that

Hugh has chubby cheeks

Horace at least used to have a lucky pillow

Emma was never over Abe and it’s very obvious if you pay attention to her character and that does not make her a bad person it makes her flawed and that makes her realistic

These are all children. They are also words on a page that do not exist to be anything but thoughts in someone’s mind. You may do with that what you will but that does not make your actions free of criticism

Liking a character does not equate to agreeing with their actions. Disliking a character is valid regardless of your feelings on that character.

A critical component of Chorus' power irony is that she is verrry prone to jealousy of her clones, and - given that most clones start out as perfect copies of her - they share the exact same issues. When The Chorus are alone or surrounded by enemies, they're a well-oiled machine, able to rely on one another completely. In the presence of allies, The Chorus end up at one another's throats for every scrap of attention.

The original usually wins out, since she can despawn her clones at will, and doesn't hesitate to do so. Her clones are caught between a deep-seated desperation to "win" affection and admiration, and the knowledge that if their progenitor feels threatened (which she will, if they succeed), she'll delete them from existence completely.

Too bad she's not pregnant. I mean, that's hair dye, right? She's a blue eyed blonde, probably got curls she straightens out based on the way her edges flip up. She's a girl version of Curly, you know what I'm saying? If you had a kid with her, that kid would just be a baby Jimmy/Curly, and you could probably take it off her hands, since Curly wants kids. Seems like a good way to make him happy without having to share him with a woman who looks like you, which would be harder to find anyway. You could have a perfect little family with Curly, make him sooo happy and give him that white picket fence life he wants, without sharing him at all. The only other women on board are Anya and Odessa, they don't look anything like you. Ivy kinda looks like a Curly-Barbie hell fusion. So the kids would look like you and Curly, right? I mean... Are you sure she isn't pregnant? What a waste that'd be, not sure you could catch her again to give Curly that happy family life... Oh well. She'd kill it anyway, she hates you that much. What a shame.
