Look at how my art progressed!” But then I uh…didn’t finish it in time and also that just felt inappropriate (?? 💀) so uhm. Here you go!

I really, really like to play around with Jack and Sammy’s relationship. Of course when I started this, I was a bigger fan of it being one-sided than I am now, but I’ll roll with it. So that’s pretty much what the animatic is about. I’ll leave it sort of up to interpretation with the specifics because I’m not really sure I have a set idea myself.

9. If you could choose a career, what would it be?

I'm kinda doing it! I've always wanted to be a novelist, and I've always wanted to entertain. I'm thiiiiiis close to finishing my first full novel. (And you can read an AU in progress via links in my pinned over at @aesesinkwell!) And the streaming over on Twitch has been kind of a dream thing also -- I remember sitting down with a shitty little camera during the rise of the YouTube vlogger wishing I could do that! But I hate video editing, so... streaming is the beautiful middle ground. (:

13. Tell me about a paranormal experience you had?

LMAO from today, or...? Nah, I'll tell you a really good, Classic Paranormal Story.

When my family moved into the house I spent most of my childhood in, I was already pretty familiar with ghosts and assorted... Bad Things. (My story about those Bad Things was featured in the 2nd edition of the Hex Positive podcast's listener-submitted scary stories if you want to listen to that!)

Now, I was ready for this new house to have some Bad Things in it. Instead, it was pretty chill. I can clearly remember one night when I was seven or eight (I think?). I have a history of sleepwalking and talking, but I've only gotten sleep paralysis twice, both times medicine-induced. It's important I mention this, because I was able to move, make noise, and otherwise prove it wasn't sleep paralysis when this happened.

I woke up suddenly to the sound of whispering. It was two or three in the morning. In the far corner from my bed, I saw three women. They were only visible from about the shoulders up, but I can see their faces clearly in my mind still. There was one old woman and two younger ones. I got the impression that they were all related, but not to me.

And they were just chatting to each other. When I made a noise, they all looked my way and went very quiet. I don't think I was meant to notice them, and I don't think they noticed me until that point. We just kinda stared at each other for a couple minutes.

And then, one of the ladies went, "Oh. I don't think we're supposed to be here."

And the old woman said, "Probably not." She then looked at me again and said directly to me, "Now, you take care of that, okay?" And they all disappeared. I never saw them again.

And I mean. I was seven or eight and had no idea what they meant. I kinda still don't, lmao. But

Hold the fuck on. Yes I do. Yes I fucking do, because not long after this happened, I visited a family grave and met my Mouse, my first spirit ally and fetch.

.................. Alright, well, that's something to think about in more detail.
