doing a new year’s resolution together
anon i have no idea if this is what you were hoping for but i had a fun idea for Meg and Streya!!
Similar Resolutions
Meg shivered as she stepped outside. The biting cold of New Year’s Eve pricked at her skin. As tempted as she was to go back inside and grab a warmer coat, she wouldn’t need it for long. Plus she was always a little worried that her things would get lost in the vastness of space. Although Streya would probably be able to find anything quickly.
She pulled the door shut and walked to the center of her backyard. As soon as she looked up, Earth-like eyes were pinned on her. It felt unbelievable that someone so big could find her. That she even registered on the cosmic giant’s mind. Still those eyes that mirrored her planet seemed to sparkle, just waiting for confirmation Meg was there for her.
“Hey Streya,” she called. If the woman hadn’t started trying to be quiet there would have been an echoing squeal. It was clear in the way those eyes lit up. Another thing Meg couldn’t fathom, how Streya’s eyes said so much about what she felt and thought. It didn’t seem real, but then again a few months ago she didn’t think someone like Streya could be real.
She smiled as a long strand of hair came to rest a few feet from her in her yard. So much about Streya didn’t seem explainable. How did she create a safe atmosphere on her body? How did her hair create a micro-orbit that only sucked her up? So many things that finding an answer didn’t seem plausible.
Meg walked up confidently, reaching out with one hand. The orbit of the hair lifted her off her feet and kept her floating near the strand. She grabbed it as it started to make her float in a circle. As much as she knew it would be safe she preferred a little of her own control. The second Streya started to lift the strand back off the planet Meg felt her heart start racing. It hadn’t gotten easier to watch the world she knew grow smaller and smaller.
She stared down at the world, hoping she could keep making out her home. It didn’t take long for her to be too high for her to see anything clearly. That first time she went through this had been terrifying. The world disappearing, the clouds passing her by, the severe weightlessness as soon as she was pulled free of the planet. The awe inspiring feeling of a finger bigger than anything she could imagine holding her safely.
As she was placed on that finger again she smiled. It wasn’t easy to describe the skin around her. It was fleshy like her own, but the feeling wasn’t exactly skin. The ridges of a fingerprint she could fall into, but somehow kept her on the tip of the gigantic finger. Once the hair was pulled away, Meg barely remembered to let her hold go, she could see the warm face staring at her.
“Meg!” Streya whisper yelled. It was funny how quiet the cosmic woman could be, while being loud enough there was no way to ignore her. As subtle as she tried to be, Meg felt each movement like an earthquake. She just watched the stars pass around them as Streya drifted.
“Happy new year,” Meg shouted. She could see the laughter in Streya’s eyes. It was hard to believe she didn’t have to shout to be heard. At least when she was held by the planet-like eyes. The laughter switched to curiosity, a look she’d been starting to love.
“What does that mean? What’s a new year? What’s a year?” Streya’s questions were never ending. At first Meg had been worried when she didn’t know an answer that the cosmic being would be mad. When she finally admitted she didn’t know something, Streya just nodded.
“It’s a measure of time. Humans track time in a lot of ways. Years are when the planet’s gone around the sun one full time. We usually celebrate that time.” Streya’s nodding felt like it should create wind. That she should be blown away, forgotten about in the vastness of space. It didn’t and those eyes that dwarfed even the sun stayed locked on her.
“Oh…I can make it go around more often? Would that be good?” The sparkle in the giant’s eyes would have been cute if the earthquakes of her movement didn’t follow.
“No!” Streya winced and Meg tried to calm her own racing heart down. “No, a lot of things rely on that. It’s best to leave it.”
“Ok…”
The two drifted for a bit in silence. Meg wasn’t sure if this time she’d angered the being holding her in space. If this time she’d be dropped off and forgotten, never seeing those eyes again. She knew it would happen someday, someone like Streya wouldn’t be interested in her forever. Once her curiosity was gone Meg wouldn’t see those eyes or the stars shining over her that belonged to someone anymore. Knowing that a person who shouldn’t see her did time and time again left her begging for it to last.
“How do you celebrate it?” Streya asked. Meg jumped but focused back on the brilliant eyes in front of her.
“A lot of ways, most people stay up until the next day is reached. Make a lot of noise, kiss as the year starts. The most common is a new year’s resolution,” she explained. She tried to push the thought of Streya wanting to try out a new year’s kiss away. She was curious what a kiss from her would be like.
“What’s a resolution?” That was enough to successfully erase the thoughts of a kiss from her mind.
“It’s sort of a promise of something they want to do over the next year. Like working out more, or cleaning regularly, or anything they want to achieve that year.”
“I see…”
Meg could see the gears turning in Streya’s head. She just let the cosmic giant think, letting her own mind wander too. The last time she’d made a resolution she gave up the next day. She didn’t want to let Streya know how often they were abandoned. Meg had one for this year, spending more time where she was at that moment. Sitting in space with Streya and learning more about the woman. Seeing the world she knew through new innocent eyes.
“Could my resolution be to spend more time with you?” Streya whispered.
Meg climbed to her feet and stared up at the massive eyes. She was held farther away than normal, the hint of a blush on the skin she could see. It didn’t even cross her mind that the cosmic woman could be embarrassed. She didn’t want to think about how red she must be. The words wouldn’t form, how could someone like Streya focus on her so much? She was smaller than anything the woman could find, but she still wanted to spend time with her. She still looked for her and watched over her whenever she left her house.
“Honestly…” Meg started, her voice cracked as she spoke. She took a deep breath before she considered speaking again. “Why don’t we make a resolution together? Just to spend more time with each other?”
The twinkling of stars was the best she could describe the eyes around her. She was moved quickly and held over the spot the woman’s heart should be. She didn’t consider the lack of a beat, a humanoid form didn’t mean human functions. The finger she was on pressed her firmly into the gown of stars. The feeling was the warmth that she imagined stars would have as a child. She assumed Streya was spinning based on the feelings she got as the woman moved.
“I would love that! I love spending time with you!” Streya cheered. Meg laughed as the woman continued to drift while holding her close. It took a few seconds for her finger to be pulled away and Meg was held in front of the earth colored eyes again. As anxious as she was about the day Streya would leave, she would love every minute that she was seen by those impossibly huge eyes.

“Come sit by the fireplace, it’s getting cold” but with Streya? Maybe her as a Human, towards a Borrower or a few Borrowers? 👀
heheh got the second one done and more to work on! Ty for this Oz my mind got absorbed pretty quick for this one!!
Warmth in the Cold
Streya hadn’t expected the blizzard to knock out the power. She was pretty relieved she’d finished the baking earlier. Although the silence around her kept her nervous. She’d noticed something else was living in her house with her. She was almost positive whatever it was wasn’t just an animal. She didn’t know where they were or how they’d handle the cold.
“Come sit by the fireplace, it’s getting cold,” she called out. It felt a bit foolish to speak to no one, but if she was right she didn’t want them freezing. “They don’t think the power is coming back until tomorrow afternoon.”
Streya waited. Minutes passed by without any sign of someone coming closer. She could be wrong, the things in her house could just be mice. Although she’d rather they be somewhere warm too. Just as she was about to give up there was movement at the edge of the fire’s light.
Slowly a person small enough to fit in her hand stepped forward. Her jaw dropped as they kept walking. Everything she imagined had never included a tiny person. She was expecting more like the talking mice from old cartoon movies. She started to lean forward, the way the small person stiffened made her freeze. She wanted a closer look, but didn’t want to scare them back into the cold.
“Wh-what do you want f-for the fire?” he asked. His voice was deeper than she expected for someone so small. “A-am I… am I a good trade?”
“What!?” she shouted. The small man winced and she frowned. Streya took a deep breath telling herself to be quiet for the small person. “I don’t want anything, but if that’s not good enough maybe company? I’m pretty lonely sitting here in the dark and cold on my own.”
The man turned and ran off. She sighed, but accepted they didn’t want to stay near her. Hopefully there was some way he could be near the fire without being in the open. It was probably something he’d prefer based on his actions. She was trying to think of what she could do when movement came from the dark again.
This time the man led a group forward. She could see now he was smaller than the others behind him. She had about ten tiny humans in front of her, each shivering something fierce. It hurt her to see how cold they were, how long they waited to even approach. Once the group stopped moving she was tempted to lie down and surround them with her arms.
“Oh!” she gasped. She climbed to her feet and ran to her kitchen. The sweets she’d made earlier would be nice to eat near the fire. She grabbed some napkins and the container before making her way back.
As she walked towards the fire the group had huddled together. Small faces all stared up at her. She only realized as they grabbed each other when she took a step what had happened. She was used to being big. She was tall and heavy, things that could make someone nervous. These people fit in her hands and she’d jumped up and ran off. It must have been terrifying to them. She pushed the realization away to focus on why she’d run off in the first place.
She set down the container not too close to the small group. Then she moved to lie on her stomach. She opened the dish and grabbed one of the cookies. She placed a napkin out then set the cookie on top of it. That was the best thing she could think of to offer them as a plate. Eating off the floor or from her hands just felt cruel, they weren’t animals.
“Sorry, I made cookies this morning before the power went out,” she whispered. “When I was younger my family would sit around the fire eating cookies and telling stories. It felt like something to do to distract us from the power outage.”
The little man who first showed himself stepped away from the group. He walked up to the cookie she’d placed and sat down. She watched as he ripped off some of the baked good and took a bite from it. The smile on the small face made her heart feel warm.
“What kind of stories?” he asked.
Streya gave him a bright smile. She dove into stories that her family had shared every year. Ones they made up, some based in fact and others that had been from books they memorized. The others slowly joined him eating the cookie and sitting around eating the sweet. The group of small people seemed to enjoy what she said, it made her sad as she started to get tired. She didn’t want this warm night in the dark and cold to end.
It became a fight to keep her eyes open. Each time she had to force them open one of the small people had moved closer. Eventually she felt them climbing to rest on the small of her back. Another nestling into the crook of her neck. Some of them rested against her side. The small man who’d been the only one to speak climbed up and rested against her cheek. She managed to open her eyes enough to see the small form pressed against her. She carefully shifted one of her hands up to surround him. The best she could do for a hug.
As she fully gave in to sleep she was determined to learn all their names the next morning. To make sure they knew this was a home for them as much as herself, especially after such a calm night near the fire.

Who are your smallest and biggest giants?
ty for the ask <3
So my biggest giant is Streya when she's a cosmic giant with her height being: 269,368 miles tall.
Followed by Kaiju Ash at: approximately 11,000ft tall
Then it's Kyrie at 360ft tall.
For smallest: Technically Byssal when a merfolk since he's only 60ft. (he'd probably be around 160 or 170 in other aus)
Sola and Luna are both 150 and the usual smallest.
My estimate for what I'd make Pel when an actual giant she's gonna be about 100 so the smallest then, but I have no aus or plans for that yet.
#awkwardanswers#oc asks#smolcomfycat#oc:streya#oc:byssal#oc:ash#oc:kyrie#oc:sola#oc:luna#oc:pelago#tbh i have a whole spreadsheet of the like default height choices for all my ocs lol

If you were to do a Jack & the Beanstalk AU (it doesn't have to have a conflict with the Giant at the top though!), which of your OCs would you cast as the "Jack" Human climbing up the beanstalk? And which of your OCs might you have as the Giant up in the clouds of the flying castle? Would you keep the story largely the same, or prefer deviations in its retelling?
So I've actually started on an idea for one of these before the ask lol i have two scenarios though.
The first is with meg and streya (currently a wip). Meg is jack in this scenario with streya as the giant. It wouldn't match most of the story, my plan for meg to get the beanstalk is different and streya would still be insanely kind.
Then i had a second idea.
This one was with melody, kyrie, caprice, byssal, and pelago. Melody taking the role of a cursed living harp found by a giant. Caprice stuck as "jack" waiting for the beanstalk to grow which will help him find his sister. Kyrie would be the giant in this scenario, byssal and pelago other giants that also live in the sky.
I had been thinking a few weeks ago I'm a gt writer with no jack and the beanstalk au. Then i came up with these two ideas!! I don't think I'd ever mimic the original too closely overall. More likely a giant that learns a lesson that humans aren't pests or something. Although I could probably do one closer to the original might not use any of my consistent ocs if i did though lol

Streya for #25: "It's not every day a tiny person lands in your food"? Your choice on the AU 💖
Still working on these, got this one all done though. I may have used my knowledge and used two prompts I knew you were considering Oz <3 (the other is 39)
Prompt List
Surprising Coffee Addition
Streya sat outside her favorite coffee shop letting out a long sigh. She looked up at the clouds and just relaxed in the sun. Slowly she closed her eyes enjoying the heat and silence around her. She took a slow sip of her coffee, the cool drink relaxing in the summer. She had nothing planned and no one was around to distract her yet.
She heard a small noise above her and let out another heavy sigh. She assumed someone had shown up and was going to ask her to move. Instead she heard a small plop in front of her and sat up straight. She stared at her drink as the liquid in the cup bubbled in front of her. She kept her eyes wide as a small face finally surfaced in the cold and sweet liquid.
“A little help!” the person shouted. Streya jumped as they fell beneath the surface again and quickly used her free hand to pull them out. They sputtered as she dangled them above the cup.
“Sorry, it’s not every day a tiny person lands in your food,” she said. The little person started to panic in her grip once they looked at her. She couldn’t hold back her own curiosity and pulled them closer to her face. She flipped her hand over to drop them in her palm instead of dangling over the air. “How did you get so small?”
“I-uh-I-well-um,” they stammered.
She tilted her head and brought her hand a bit closer. She could hear the bustle of customers leaving the coffee shop. The little person covered their head and curled up in her hand. She curled her fingers over them which made them yelp. She was curious about this little person. She set her coffee down on the bench next to her and brought her hand up to the small person. Her finger alone was almost half their height. She poked them which brought out another yelp. Terrified eyes staring up at her.
“B-big!” they squeaked. She frowned as small eyes continued to stare at her. The little person started to shake in her hand. She sighed, shocked by the way her breath blew their clothes and hair around. She knew she was big, but hearing how much it scared this person hurt. She wouldn’t hurt them, she wouldn’t hurt anyone.
“You’re small,” she whispered. They curled in on themself. She wanted to calm them down. She started trying to rub their back, they shook more. She pulled her finger back and started to stand up. “Maybe we should head back inside, at least to get you cleaned up.”
“No! Please!” She froze, the little person was gripping her fingers tightly. She lowered herself back to her seat and pulled them closer to her face. She could just barely see the tears on their face. “I-I’m not supposed to be seen.”
“Oh… Should I pretend I didn’t see you?” They looked at her with wide eyes. She didn’t know what they were thinking. She wanted to ask them so many questions. The way they shook kept her from rambling, she wanted to help them calm down. “I can put you down, or should I bring you somewhere?”
“I… I don’t know where I am…A bird caught me, I only just got away…”
Streya’s heart broke with their voice. She moved her hand quickly and placed them against her chest. She held them tightly and just sat in silence for a bit. They eventually relaxed into her hold and she pressed down the slightest bit more. After a few minutes she looked down and cupped her hand so she could see them again.
“Why don’t you come back to my place? We can figure something out there,” she offered. The small person curled their hands into fists while gripping her shirt. She found it a bit cute. They looked up at her with a determined look and nodded. She smiled and started to stand up.
“Wait, can.. Can you hide me?” they asked. She smiled and pulled her hand away.
“I can, but I’m going to have to put you in my pocket, is that ok?”
They just nodded at her. She carefully pulled them back from her chest and pulled open the pocket of her flannel shirt. She slipped her hand in and slowly tilted it until the little person started to slide off. They looked terrified, but it seemed worse to pinch their sides and set them down. Once they slid off her hand completely she let the pocket closed and pressed her hand against her chest. A few people came around the coffee shop, she’d managed it just in time.
Streya quickly grabbed her coffee and food then turned to leave. She would make sure the little person got home safely. She hoped they would let her ask some questions once they figured out where their home was. She had so many questions, of course most were just about how they even lived being so small. For now she just kept patting her pocket as they passed crowds and promising they were safe as she walked.

Cosmic Hugs
Got distracted by a game but still posting this tonight lol
Cosmic Hugs
Streya was getting bored. It had been a while since she'd seen Meg and the other humans all seemed so scared when she got close. She just wanted to know all about them, what it's like being so small and thinking like she did. She also wanted to know more of those pronoun things, what exactly they meant. She sighed as she started to float closer to the planet again. She missed Meg.
"Streya!" Meg called. Streya was almost too excited. She rushed to the little planet getting closer than usual before she copied the atmosphere. She wanted to find the little human quickly. "Can you see me?"
Just as the question was asked, Streya found her. She quickly grabbed a strand of her hair and lowered it near her. She paused as she did, moving it away a bit so Meg could choose to be picked up herself. Streya would rather choose so she'd let Meg choose. She squealed when Meg walked toward her hair and let the gravity pull her in.
Streya tried to keep calm as she pulled the little human off the planet. She didn't want to scare her away. She couldn't contain her excitement once she'd brought her hair out completely, placing Meg on her finger as fast as she could. She brought the little human up to her eye, relieved to see a smile.
"Meg," she smiled. Meg nodded and waved, it was unbelievable to find something that thought like her and was so tiny.
"Can we move away a bit? Your voice is really loud everyone can hear when you talk," Meg asked.
Streya's face dropped, but she did as asked. She didn't know if loud was bad, but it must be if she had to leave. She just wanted to know everything about humans. She couldn't wait to revisit other places, they might have little things that can talk now too. Meg would stay her favorite. She stopped moving once she'd have to stretch to reach Meg's home.
"Is this good?" she asked, Meg nodded. She started to just float around again. She flipped herself so she was holding her finger above her face. "Is loud bad? I am so curious about humans I don't want to hurt any of you."
"N-no loud isn't bad, can you hold me like before please?" Meg sounded scared. Streya flipped over again so she was looking down at Meg instead. She felt like she was ruining her chances with the only thing that's ever spoken to her.
"Is this better?" A small nod, almost too small for her to catch. "Was the other way bad? Did I do something wrong?"
"You didn't do anything wrong, you just didn't know that humans can’t be upside down like that for long. All the blood rushes to our head and can make us get sick or hurt." Streya tilted her head. More new words.
"What's blood?" Meg had a big smile and she hoped that meant good things.
"Humans have it in their bodies. It keeps us living. It's usually a red color, but some people think without oxygen it looks blue. I'm not sure myself, but I don't think it's true." Streya was shocked. She brought Meg close enough her little body was basically touching her eye. She couldn't see anything that looked red or blue on her. She squinted her eyes a bit. Meg started laughing.
"Streya it's under my skin. You can't see it, unless you can see through my skin somehow," Meg said.
Streya pulled her back with a pout. When she was far enough she brought a finger up next to Meg. She slowly brought the tip closer, feeling the difference between Meg's face and the stuff below. She knew sort of what they were, she knew most things in a way. This was different, Meg felt like a much colder star.
"You feel like a cold star," she murmured. Meg felt warmer after that and changed colors again. She could see red on her now. "Is the red now the blood you were talking about?"
"S-sort of, it's behind my cheeks to make me look like that. It's safe like this though," Meg answered. Streya nodded. "Oh, before I forget loud isn't bad, you're not a painful loud. It's like your voice just reaches everyone. It's weird, but not bad."
"So it's ok for me to talk near rth?" She pulled Meg close again leaving her other hand behind.
"It's earth and yeah. Just better when talking like this not to be too close." Streya nodded, she didn't understand, but there was a lot she probably wouldn't understand.
Streya started to let herself float around. She didn't usually feel right staying still, the things around her didn't. She kept looking at Meg, she wondered what the little human really thought. Meg didn't seem scared of her like the others, it was nice. She didn't know this feeling, but having someone to talk to made her happy. It was like something she needed and never knew.
"Streya, there was a reason I called your name today," Meg started. Streya was worried, it sounded different from how she normally spoke. She stopped floating and brought Meg close enough to touch her eye again. Meg turned colors again, she was dying to know if she did that too. "W-well after you put me back, important people came to talk to me. They wanted me to work as a kind of diplomat between you and well, humans…"
"What's a diplomat?" she asked. She didn't care as long as she could keep talking to Meg.
"Well it's basically someone who you have meetings and talks with on behalf of others. Basically they want you to, well… talk to mostly or uh only me…" She didn't get it, but it sounded like she could keep talking to Meg. Although maybe not other humans…
"So they want me to talk to you and not other little humans? Will you get in trouble if I talk to others?" She didn't want Meg in trouble. The little human started waving her hands in front of her. One touched Streya's eye, it felt weird against her. Not a bad weird, but Meg looked guilty.
"Oh man, I'm sorry, are you ok? Does your eye hurt oh no, I was worried I'd do that please don't be too mad it was an accident." She pulled Meg away a bit.
"Why would I be mad? You just touched me, I touch you the whole time we're talking."
"That didn't hurt you? So you look humanoid, but your eyes are different…"
Meg started to mumble to herself quietly. Streya couldn't hear her but smiled at the human. It seemed like a good thing happened after all. She was growing more curious about the thing she was talking about and what waving her arms meant. She twitched the finger holding Meg a bit to get the human's attention. She changed colors again.
"Sorry, I get lost in my head sometimes," she smiled. Streya smiled back at her.
"You say sorry too much. What did the waving arms mean?" she asked. She didn't mind if Meg was lost in her head, whatever that meant. Having her here felt nice even if they weren't talking.
"Right! I won't get in trouble if you try to talk to anyone else. It's more a request not to pick up anyone else besides me unless asked…" Streya started nodding.
"I would give anyone a choice like I did you. I don't think I'd like being picked up without a choice. If you think like me I'm guessing that's the same." Meg had a smile on her face. It made something in her chest almost burn.
"I told them not to worry. You're not going to hurt anyone or cause alien abductions."
Meg was laughing to herself. That burning in Streya's chest grew a bit stronger. Meg was so nice, she wanted to thank her. She'd seen humans holding each other while she'd been left alone the last while. She wanted to try that.
Carefully she moved the finger with Meg lower until she was perpendicular to her chest. She couldn't hear the little human well, but it would be fine. She brought her finger closer to her chest until she was nearly pressing into herself. She looked down at how Meg was standing and made sure to press her flat against her chest. She pressed her close and hoped this was like the things she saw.
Streya stayed like that for a bit. She slowly pulled her finger away, panicking when she brought her hand up and Meg wasn't there. She felt relieved when she found the human still holding on to her. She shifted so her chest was beneath Meg's feet. She brought her hair close and waited for the feeling of holding something.
She saw the change once Meg had reached the strand and pulled her up. She smiled at the human who looked calm. She set her on her palm looking at just how small Meg was to her. She didn't know how to explain herself. She brought her hand up until it rested by her eyes.
"Was that a hug?" Meg asked. Streya didn't know for sure, but the word sounded right.
"I think that's what I was trying to do. Was that bad?" Streya whispered. Meg was shaking her head.
"No, but a bit more warning when you're pulling away next time would be nice."
"I can do it again?!" Meg nodded.
Streya was excited. She started floating around again, careful to avoid the large star that made Meg nervous before. Meg was mumbling to herself again, but that was fine. She wanted to hear even more once Meg was done being lost. Maybe give her another tiny hug too.

Radiant Stars
Day 13 Cosmic. New oc cause i thought it would be fun to try writing a cosmic giant for reals. I'm so excited about this one i want to be clear.
Radiant Stars
A woman in a gown of stars was swimming between the planets. She stopped to look over each one, the small things barely big enough to sit on the tip of her finger. She was bored, the last planet with life felt like eons ago. It could have been eons ago. She knocked one of the small planets out of orbit as she moved.
“Oops,” she whispered to herself. She cupped it carefully in her hands, copying the atmosphere to make sure anything on it stayed safe. She found the spot it belonged to and placed it back, watching as it moved slowly away from her. “Bye little thing.”
She smiled and returned to her journey. She’d visited this galaxy a long time ago, all the planets seemed boring. None of them had anything to keep her attention then. Now she hoped life had changed. She came up to a set of planets close together, she’d need to be careful here. At least she’d be able to fix it if she bumped into one.
Each planet was as empty as the last one. Until she found a small red one. She saw the smallest little things that didn’t look natural. She paused in her path and looked over the planet with a careful eye. She brought her hand up and started to mimic the atmosphere. It didn’t seem like the others with life she’d found. She cupped her hands around it, leaning closer to see the little thing more clearly.
“What are you?” she murmured. She hadn’t grabbed something off one of the tiny planets in a long time. She let out a sigh that almost blew the thing away. She held her breath quickly. “Well, I guess I need to pick you up to find out.”
She slid a hand into her hair and grabbed a single strand. She lowered it down to the surface and it pulled the little thing close. As she pulled her strand of hair off the chunk of ground she had another small thing follow along. Once her hair was free of the planet she dragged a finger along her hair until the small things were caught on it. She smiled at them now that she could hold them.
She pulled her hand close and looked at them as best she could. They didn’t look like other creatures she had seen. They were moving around and making noise. One made a strange noise and started moving down her finger. She put another down to block it. The little thing turned around.
“You’re so strange, what are you?” she asked.
The little things didn’t answer so she settled on putting them back down. She brought a strand of hair back to catch the little things. They started to orbit her hair again. She laughed at the odd noises they made. She lowered her hair back to the surface of the strange little planet. She let the atmosphere go and the little things floated back to safety.
“Bye bye little things!”
She moved on to another planet expecting things to be just as empty. This time she found a lot more little things. Then she noticed there were even smaller things on the planet. She thought they might be new creatures and she got excited. She cupped her hands around it and matched the atmosphere before leaning close to get a better look. That’s when she heard the first words anything else has ever spoken.
“Alert! Remain indoors. We do not know what that thing is. Keep inside at all costs.”
“What thing?” she said. There was the sound of screaming after she asked. Her questions never bothered other little things before. She leaned closer, trying to get a better look at the ones who could speak.
“Emergency Broadcast. Remain in your homes.”
“Oh are the little things where you live?” She was excited, she wanted to hear more about these little creatures. She moved so the planet was right next to her eye. It was hard to get a look at the little creatures to find out which were talking. She wanted to learn more about them.
“Oh wow…” one tiny voice said. She started to look for that one, it sounded different than the other two that spoke. “How are they possible? They spoke, but that means they breathe… There’s no air in space… And the stars move as they do. Wow…”
After a bit of searching she found the spot where the little thing was. The creature was out in the open near something smaller than it. She wanted to know what that was. These ones weren’t like the other creatures she found. They thought like her. She reached for a strand of her hair and brought it over the little one who had been talking.
“I’m going to bring you closer, I promise it’s safe,” she murmured. There were more of the other voices, but the one she cared about was writing something down. They had something small on their face too. She lowered the strand of hair near the little thing and frowned when it screamed. “I told you it’s safe, don’t be scared.”
She pulled her hair free from the planet and backed away a little. She hoped the other little creatures would relax now. She dragged her hair along her finger until the miniscule little being sat there along with the small thing. She smiled a bit and brought the tiny thing closer. She wanted to know about the stuff that was smaller than the creature, but the creature could talk!
“What are you?” she asked. The little creature jumped but grabbed one of the things smaller than it.
“I… I’m a human?” it answered. She laughed and brought her finger closer to her eye.
“What’s a human? Is that what all the little creatures on your planet are? What are the things littler than you?” She had so many questions she wanted answered. She started to float a bit away from the planet. She would put the little creature back before long. She knew exactly where it belonged.
“My species is human, with me I have a telescope, a notebook, and some astronomy books.” The human answered, she was ecstatic. She was getting closer to the star of the system. She noticed the little creature flinch as the light cast over them.
“Don’t worry little human, you’re safe with me. So is your planet while I match it. I would never let anything happen to the planet or its inhabitants because of me.”
The little human started to shake. She frowned and moved away from the star. She tried to offer a reassuring smile to the little thing. It looked so tiny even this close. She pulled them back from her face, curious how it would be so far. She heard the faintest hint of its voice and pulled her finger back quickly.
“What did you say little one?” she asked. She pulled her hand closer as the little one seemed to change colors. She grew concerned and brought them so close they almost touched her eye. “Am I not matching the atmosphere correctly? You’re changing colors…”
“No no I’m fine I just… didn’t think you’d hear my voice that far away,” the little one murmured. Her worry changed to curiosity and she started to follow the slow orbit of the planet her current human belonged to.
“What’s a voice?”
“The noise I make to talk… you don’t actually make noise when you move your mouth do you?”
“Hmm, I’ve never paid attention to it. Does that mean I don’t have a voice?” She was a little sad, she assumed that would be what made the other little humans scared. She moved the finger holding the one she took away from her face. She sighed, her breath sent the little human rolling back. She stopped it from going too far with another finger.
“You really do breathe. How are you doing that? There’s no air, space is just a vacuum. How are you even hearing me right now!?” She brought the little human close again.
“Is that why you little things need me to match the planet you're from when I take you? To breathe?” The little human nodded and she smiled. She knew that she couldn’t hold them without the right atmosphere, but this is the first time she knew why. The little human started to do something with what it called a notebook again. “What are you doing?”
“Oh, I’m taking notes on you… is that ok?” She frowned when the human sounded a bit scared. She didn’t know what notes were, but the human seemed nice so it couldn't be bad.
“I don’t really know what notes are, but I don’t see a problem.” She decided to drift to a stop. Following the planet was boring and she could still see where the little one belonged. She wanted to know so many things.
“Notes are where I make something to remember stuff I’ve heard or seen. You break everything we knew about space and the stars… you’re unbelievable.”
She hummed a bit as she started to float around the other planets. She got bored with the other little things so easily, but humans seemed fun. She liked talking to someone, she didn’t want to stop. Although she would probably hear the sounds that meant she had to put the little thing down soon. Then she’d never be able to find them again…
“I don’t want to put you back,” she sighed. The little human stiffened. She was curious how it felt sitting on just a small part of her finger. “You’ll need to go back soon I’m sure.”
“Why don’t you want to put me back?” the human’s voice sounded nervous. She sighed again, when something could think like her they were apparently suspicious and scared. She wanted it to trust her.
“I won’t be able to find you again, all humans will blend together once you realize I’m not going to harm you.”
“What do you mean we blend together? All of us look different…can you not actually see my face?”
She rushed back to the planet hoping another human would be out that she could see. Some were where the one she held belonged. She grew excited, almost giddy seeing how different they looked. She brought her human close to her face. She gently placed her finger against her cheek.
“Oh that’s wonderful. Humans aren’t like the other little creatures. I can find you again so easily!” she shouted. She started to twirl around the planets, almost knocking into a few of them. She grinned at the little human on her finger. “Human that’s so wonderful!”
“I have a name! You can call me Meg, also it’s she and her.” the human shouted. She brought it close to her eyes.
“What’s a name? Also what’s she and her mean? Is that something special?” She tilted her head.
“A name is what we call people. We don’t just all call each other human all the time. Then she and her are pronouns. So if you wanted to talk about me, but not use my name then you would say something like ‘She wears glasses’ or ‘Her favorite subject is astronomy.’”
She nodded at what the litt- what Meg said. She always called everything little creatures or things. Names were so much better! She wanted a name, but she never had one before. She didn’t even know what the pronoun things were. She wanted to let Meg talk about her more easily. She wanted so many things.
“What did you say earlier? When I pulled you away Meg?” she asked. Meg changed colors again, but she knew it was safe now. She wanted to know.
“I said you were radiant… It was like looking at a million stars,” Meg whispered. She felt like her own colors might change. She never knew what others might think of her.
“Streya… you can call me Streya!” she shouted. Meg went wide eyed.
Streya pulled her closer. It was the first time she tried to really see what Meg looked like. Her skin was pale and she had things in her ears. Her hair was a light brown that fell just below her shoulders. Her eyes were white with a bit of brown, she wondered if that’s how all human eyes looked. She had some little thing on her face, she used the word glasses as something maybe that’s what those were. She had tiny little dots on her face too. They looked like far away stars.
“You have stars on your face too,” she whispered. Meg changed colors again, she was getting a bit worried it wasn’t just something humans did. She pulled Meg even closer.
“Th-those are called freckles!” she said. Streya nodded.
“Do I have those?” She pulled the finger Meg was on away again. She saw the little human grab the little thing she’d been curious about. That one was probably the telescope thing. She could just barely see as Meg held it to her face and moved the farther part all over. Meg said something, but she couldn’t hear it. She pulled her back again. “I’m sorry, I couldn’t hear you.”
“I asked you to bring me close again so it’s fine. You don’t have freckles on your face.” She pouted, she wanted little stars too. Meg looked away with different colors again. “Do… Do you want me to tell you what you look like?”
“You can do that?” She was too excited again. She didn’t know anything besides her gown of stars and her skin like the black void of space without stars. Meg nodded. “Yes I want to know!”
“Well, your eyes look like the Earth does from far away right now. Although I think when your eye first appeared it was more of a dull shade of purple. Your skin looks like you’d blend in if the stars disappeared, but you’re wearing a gown that seems endless and coated in the same stars that make you stand out. Your hair looks endless to me too, but it’s got hints of black with a glowing blue at the top and the tips. Then on your right side the hair is lighter blue at the top, it looks a little purple too. Oh your ears are pointed, on earth we have stories about elves and fairies and I think of those with your ears.”
“That’s what I look like?” Meg nodded. “I don’t know if it’s good, but I think I like it.”
“I think it’s good.”
Meg’s voice barely reached her ears, but she smiled. She liked talking with someone and wanted to do it so much more. She went close to the planet Meg called Earth. She didn’t know planets had names too. She needed to figure out the pronoun thing too. She didn’t know any besides what Meg told her. She liked Meg… she’d just be the same as Meg!
“I am going to be she and her too!” she declared. “It’s ok to have the same as you right? Are they unique like names?”
“No, no we can be the same… It’s nice to meet you Streya,” Meg laughed. She didn’t know why she laughed, but Streya liked Meg’s laugh. She faintly heard a sound that she knew meant Meg had to go back. She frowned but brought a strand of her hair close to the little human.
“You need to go back right?” Meg nodded. She brought the hair strand close enough that Meg was pulled into it. She didn’t scream this time.
“We can talk again right?” Meg’s shout made Streya freeze. She smiled, she wanted to talk to Meg more too.
“I want to, humans are the first creatures I could ever talk with!”
Streya moved her strand of hair over to the little planet. She brought it down slowly right back where she saw that Meg was missing from. She let the atmosphere she copied fade away. The little human slowly returned to the planet’s ground. She pulled the strand away and leaned a bit closer. Meg stood and looked up at her. Humans were so small, she thought they were amazing.
“Streya!” Meg shouted. Her eyes widened. “I was right, when you aren’t copying our planet your eyes are a dull purple.”
“Thank you Meg,” she smiled and started to mimic Earth again.
She wanted to stay with this planet for a while. She was desperate to know all she could about the little humans. She wanted to know more names and pronoun things too. She could hear some of those odd voices, but from where she settled floating just out of orbit it was easy to ignore. She’d hear her name… she liked her name. Streya.

I dont know if you've done this already but have you drawn or made picrews/other programs with some of ur ocs? I've seen you describe them abit but I'm a bit curious to see how you actually imagine them to be
I haven't done a big post so I will use this ask to do one! I actually have descriptions for each character in a spreadsheet I've made to track all the info I have, I've made picrews, and I have two commissions done so far. This one for the mafia AU god squad and this one for when Corus and Mira met
Comm I got for streya <3
Comm of Delphia, Ash, and Alessia in Vampire AU
fanart of mira and corus
Below the read more is a description I have an at least one picrew I've made of each of my ocs! I made a lot of these a long time ago so I sadly don't have the links but I can def try to find ones if people want them!
Mira: pale skin with lavender hair and pink eyes. She has a natural red tint to her cheeks with a pink color for her lips. Her body is lean and muscular, reflecting the years of training she's had. In her streamer universe she has a lean form with slight muscle from casual workouts. When you first see her you wouldn't assume she's as tactful and agile as she is.
Kaya: black hair, brown eyes and brown skin. They have some freckles by their nose and mole under their left eye. While they usually share in some of Mira's training they retain a thin frame and appear petite at first glance. They look innocent at first, as if they have no understanding of darker sides to the world. In reality they have stared it in the face and continued with a smile
This heart one is an adorable comm from @graff-aganda gotten by @alarcomet
Ian: fair skin with blond hair and brown eyes. His face is covered in a dusting of freckles. He's a little shorter than average at first in his original universe. He has a lanky frame that some may even call scrawny at times. He looks younger than he is, giving an impression of early teens rather than close to an adult.
Delphia: pale white skin with emerald eyes that stand out against it. Her hair is a dark black, almost ebony. She's above average height in most universes with a thin frame. Generally she's pale to a concerning degree. Almost like you'd think she's dead if she held her breath. She appears innocent and naive by choice, if she changes to seem world weary it's best to listen Where it exists people might think she's a bit like snow white
Vincent: striking silver hair, usually tied back. He has one eye green like emeralds, the other purple like violets. Overall his features are striking, but the scars over his eyes stand out against his sepia brown skin. He's intimidating, usually holding a look of disdain or pointed disinterest. If he cares for you he will kill for you
Melody: around average height with pale skin and heavyset. She has long brown hair frequently put up in ponytails or braids. Glasses that hide the bags under her eyes and a bright red tint on her cheeks. She also has a single dimple mirrored by Caprice. She looks young and innocent as if the things she suffered never happened. Most often she wears jeans and dark colored t-shirts with a black hoodie
Caprice: fair pale skin with freckles, short brown hair, and brown eyes. He usually has an athletic build and a bit short for men. He doesn't need glasses and has a healthy look. He has a single dimple mirrored by Melody. He appears goofy and ignorant, a mask he wears that can fall away to someone who sees more than anyone would like.
Lilith: dark brown skin, red eyes, and naturally black hair. She likes to dye it purple. Overall she is adorable. There is always a possessiveness in her face if she likes you.
Corus: black hair long enough he can tie it in a small ponytail. He has blue eyes and tanned white skin. At first glance he looks tall with an average build at best, but he has a lot of muscle that you can't see. His way of dress hides the fact he's well built. It's a byproduct of ways he's tried to handle his anger issues through out the years. He looks like someone easy to take advantage of at first, but then his anger comes through and he's terrifying regardless of size.
Zeke: golden brown skin, green eyes, and red/orange hair. He looks welcoming and intelligent. Overall his build is a bit average but his arms reflect the manual labor his life usually requires. He's observant and quick to act. When it's viable he has glasses that help him see far away. Luckily he has no issues up close.
Mikhail: He has rich black skin, green eyes and long black hair. He has a lean frame that some would assume is from being consumed in his studies. Most of the time he needs glasses more specifically for reading. His size changing in his original universe does change his frame slightly. The bigger he grows the more imposing his build becomes and the opposite for smaller. He'd be bird like at Ian's size
Alessia: rosy white skin and a warm look to her face. She's chubby which hides the strength she's capable of. Her hair, which flows to the middle of her back, is the same color as the night sky and she has brown eyes that radiate kindness. Generally around average human height. Soft is a good way to describe her. As a goddess she is usually dressed in a golden suit of armor that still leaves her legs, arms, hands, and head free.
Rhys: sharp edges to his face, the tawny brown skin accented with salmon hair. His eyes change colors depending on mood, but he is most commonly seen with them at bright pink. He isn't too tall and has a stout form. When he's calm his features have him looking reliable. As a god he dresses for the times, frequently in the most common clothing styles of the era until more modern times.
Ash: appears intimidating. A sharp face with one green and one blue eye. Their brown hair is short almost shave. They have umber brown skin and, as a god, tend to wear something that looks like leather armor. It's more like a misviewed tunic. They are frequently considered to look like a warrior or soldier and mistaken for the god of war.
Vitus: ashen white skin and even whiter hair. His hair is a bit below his shoulders and usually tied back with enough left free to frame his face. He has striking emerald eyes and a stern gaze. He has an average build and appears normally to be around mid thirties to early forties in age. He's taller than most others. As a god he tends to wear a button up shirt and simple plain pants regardless of the era. As a human he has reading glasses.
Dabria: fair white skin that looks like she's spent a lot of time under the sun. She has ebony hair which seems to flow endlessly behind her and piercingly red eyes. Her round face almost always carries a small smile and radiates warmth. She has a chubby form and is happy to offer comfort to any who need it. As a goddess she tends to wear a simple black dress, as a human she wears darker colors and jeans unless it's more formal
Felix: a stocky build. He has golden eyes and short black hair that slightly frames his face. His skin is a warm beige. He looks judgemental and cold at first glance. His features give a calculating feeling. As a god he dresses ostentatiously, styles that mimic nobility or expensive styles of the era.
Sola: a soft tan to her white skin, something that makes her look to have spent long days out in the sun. Her hair is just a bit past her shoulders, a light blonde color with specks of blue and white. Her eyes like like the morning sky, bright yellow at the center for the sun. She dresses in bright colors and most often has her arms and legs uncovered. She appears childish like Luna. A round face, large eyes, and over all child like features. She is twins with Luna. She appears bright, outgoing, and loud, but tries to match those around her more than act freely.
Luna: pale skin that could remind you of moonlight. He has shoulder length hair that's black with specks of white like stars. As a god his eyes are almost mirrors of the night sky, but human leaves him with a deep blue. He dresses in dark colors that relate to the era. He looks childish, a round face, large eyes, and general child like features. He is twins with Sola. He appears shy and reserved, but just is soft spoken.
Ryder: the build of a soldier. He reflects his status as god of war in his stature. His eyes are silver and, as a god, his pupils are shaped like swords. He has a surprisingly kind look most of the time. His face is scared despite never being in battle, he also has some scars along his arms and torso. He has long black hair that reaches down his back and he tends to leave as is. He tries to appear ready to fight in any universe he's in despite his lack of actual experience and general reasons to fight.
Kyrie: warm beige skin and a chubby build. His hair and fins are black at first. Both will change later to mimic colors of the deep sea to aid in hiding from humans. His eyes are the same color as the deep sea giving him the best sight of the merfolk under water. His hair is long and reachs almost to his tail. He opts not to do anything to it much like Pelago. He can look intimidating when he smiles, large fangs poking out. He is technically not full grown until some time after he meets Melody and grows significantly from the size he'd been until then.
Pelago: slender with dark brown skin. She has scars over her face from years of abuse due to the colors of her scales. She has blond hair the is half the length of her body. Her scales are a bright white and define her as an oceanid. Her eyes match the colors of her scales and fins as white as well. She still holds a kind smile despite the way she's been treated in the past. Pelago looks the most human when she smiles, her smaller size leaving her no need for large fangs.
Byssal: fair white skin and a stout build. He has used his size to keep Pelago safe and appears intimidating. His hair is green and usually braided. When loose his hair is almost longer than Pelago He has green scales, fins, and eyes. He has some scales along his skin unlike Pelago. Byssal frequently wears a scowl and bares his fangs at anyone who isn't Kyrie or Pelago (later that grows to Melody and Caprice)
Streya: skin the same color of space, she'd disappear into the darkness without the stars. She wears a gown that looks like endless stars. Her eyes are a solid dull purple when she's not matching a planet, they change to match the planet she's mimicking. Her hair is long reaching down into the endless space like her gown. It's a base shade of black with glowing blue on the top and the tips. On the right side of her head her hair is a lighter blue. There's a hint of purple all throughout it. She has a plump form. She has a round face that almost always has a look of awe or curiosity
Meg: skin is pale and she wears simple earrings. Her hair is a light brown that falls just below her shoulders. She has brown eyes. She has a dusting of freckles on her face, she wears simple glasses. She has a thin frame with a round face. She dresses casually, a warm jacket with simple things. A necklace with a star on it and tends to have jackets with patches or pins for lgbt

If you were to do a one-shot AU for Streya, where might you place her? With her being a cosmic Giant in her OG AU, I'm always fascinated to think how you might portray her elsewhere. 💙
In general I think she'd be a giant in most places. I think because of how curious she is I'd leave her a bit smaller than most of my other giants where humans on average are at least the height of her fingers. She's so curious that giving her a bit more direct interaction seems fun.
Now my brain is going so a bunch of rambling under the cut. Ty for this Oz legit just gave me a second wind (maybe my fifth wind) lol <3
hmmm I think she'd work really well as like a kind of ancient entity that used to protect people. Who had been resting until she was needed. Just her arriving in a new world with all these people for her to meet she'd have a ton of fun.
A merfolk au of her as a leviathan or something just always lives in the deep ocean, but then she meets maybe a lost small mer. Or she swims towards a light and finds a little submarine and the humans have to beg her to stop. ofc she would she's just curious
She'd also be fun in that thing i reblogged about big gets made small. Like just this tall woman who is always bright and excited gets made a few inches tall. She'd be so excited by the world around her and have no idea why. A small who just wants to help her, maybe doesn't know Streya was originally big and just helps her. Winds up with her growing back to her height the small is so scared, but Streya just hugs them cause they were so sweet.
Overall Streya definitely has an innocence in her character that most of my other OCs don't have. In most cases she's bright, excitable, and curious. Although she would never put herself or others at risk. A tiny Streya would always be watching the bigger beings around her. Just like Cosmic Giant Streya watches the small beings she finds.
I don't think I actually answered. I think for a one shot it would always be her just interacting with someone else. She's so vibrant that a fun one off could be her being small and found. Seeing how she switches from fun and excited to scared of what could happen is a fun idea. Especially since I already can't make myself think of her in anything kind of angsty.
#awkwardanswers#seriously ty oz#i'd just finished something and all my energy was gone#oc:streya#possible stories#yup that's a tag now lol

3, 9, & 10 for Alessia & Streya please? 👉🏻👈🏻
3. How do they laugh?
Alessia: She has a musical laugh and it always starts quietly. She'll just giggle until it turns into a full blown laughing fit, it's pretty easy to cause them for her.
Streya: She doesn't laugh out right very often. When she does it has a deep sound, but turns into a silent full body laugh. She squeaks a bit during the silent part of her laugh
9. What’s a small detail about them that if someone remembers will make them extremely happy?
Alessia: Her favorite food. Gods don't have to eat, so it's not super common for any of them to have one. In other aus it's just not something she thinks comes up very often. Ash and Delphia never forget and always bring her some roasted almonds.
Streya: When she's the cosmic giant, it's her natural eye color. It's rare that anyone can see it since her eyes show the atmosphere she's copying to her body. Meg always remembers and makes comments about it sometimes. When she's more human it's her favorite lotion brand. She likes to keep her skin soft and her friends are always giving her random gifts of her favorite brand.
10.Do they prefer cuddling or holding hands (platonically or romantically <3)?
Alessia: Cuddling always. She just wants to be close to her friends, family, and partners. No matter who it is she wants to be cuddling, especially if you're just sitting around together.
Streya: She likes cuddling with her romantic partners. Keeping them close makes her so happy. With everyone else she prefers to hold hands. Just a small link with a squeeze now and then, an acknowledgement of her and whoever spending time with each other even if doing different activities.
