i've noodled and edited and nothing else this month. ugh. i think i should start tracking what i do AROUND writing, such as coming up with OCs and settings and plotting future things out...not sure how but otherwise i just feel like nothing happened at all. it's just too hard to stay on task witout a copilot. bleh. miss having a beta.

cherry wine -- There was a big empty gap in the Fuma's defense, and even without being able to feel the chakra coming from it, Izuna had to be aware it was a trap, because he wasn't taking it.

"Coming out to play, Uchiha-sama?" someone called out cheerily. Tobirama couldn't see enough detail from there, but--

"Hozuki Gengetsu," he whispered. "Water country. Powerful."

"That young lout, huh," Madara commented quietly; and then, louder, "One must do their part to entertain the children from time to time, I'm told."

There was a small hiccup in Gengetsu's chakra. Touché. "He didn't like that," he breathed. The visual cue would not be there with that illusion in place, but once Madara was aware of a weakness he would hammer at it just fine on his own.

"From your face, that isn't good news, Ukitake-san!"

"Well. It's more like she found part of his phone. In a ditch along the road. That, hm."

"Proves his little friend is somewhat experienced at avoiding being tracked?"

"Hm."

Isshin smiled, though it felt bitter. He'd made all his children learn their home phone number by heart, but with how little they needed to actively remember it with their cell phones to do it for them, he couldn't be sure the memory would have stayed. 

Not that it would be safe to call the house, anyway. The call could be too easily traced. 

"Better that we don't learn it while Gin is hosted in your garage, at any rate," Ukitake commented with a commiserating half-smile. "With our luck Shinso is eavesdropping."

"Hell, are you even sure he's still here?" He supposed the one of Ukitake's wolves who had stayed out there to watch would have told him if he'd sneaked away, but who knew...

"I can confirm he is!" said a voice Isshin didn't recognize, making him tense up. "That shiner's going to be glorious."

The man who leaned in was intensely, artificially blond, and his grin fatuous enough to give Urahara punchable-face envy. His eyes were sharp while taking in Isshin, though. Measuring.

Ichigo was exhausted of thinking about it. "Look, everybody is Quincy. Except the bastards, who are somewhat Quincy. Better than not-Quincy in a way, but still gross, because if you meet one you have to think about some perfectly acceptable pure blood lowering themselves to something kinky and gross that sadly had consequences they can't take to their grave like a proper secret, because other people aren't people, it's bullshit all the way down."

"Hoo. Thought your dad wasn't."

"Mmyeah no, he's not." Ichigo crossed his arms, jaw clenching and releasing. Charlotte still looked more entertained than personally attacked. "I mean, I probably got the racism worse because my mom's, like, related to that decrepit son of a bitch on the throne in a more recent way than most people. Probably Quincies who aren't attached to a noble house have their assholes a bit less clenched about it."

Askin laugh-coughed into his fist. "Aheh... Some of them!"

"Anyway. Noble houses aren't castes, they're just families whose ancestors had enough money they could buy powerful brides and make somewhat stronger children. Then they get into fancy schools and use their connections to get money-making jobs and boss everybody around, and also the oldest child of some families gets to sit on some council the emperor at least pretends to listen to. It's not... I don't know if it works the same as a caste."

"Huh. Perhaps not quite," Charlotte commented thoughtfully, and then Ichigo never got to find out if she had any more ideas to share because a shockwave exploded through the playing field.

"I never believed it deep down, when my friend -- when they had to show up late at night or give up their weekends, and they'd say it made them happy to help and I didn't need to pay them back. That it made them feel special to be the ones I asked. To be -- trusted--"

Uuugh... Nelliel wipes her face with the heel of her hand, but it's no use because a fresh wave of tears drips down immediately. 

 "It felt so warm," Orihime whispers, and Nel drags her into her arms, twisting as much as she can at the waist and dragging her close, tucking Hime's face into her neck. Ah, fuck, she can't, she can't stay angry, she can't stay hurt, when was the last time somebody wanted to be good to her so much? When was the last time she wasn't the one giving her time, her advice, her support, sharing her cheap dinners and finding obscure online resources and nosing into conflicts nobody thanked her for fixing--

Nnoitra showed back up and everybody washed their hands off her. 

'Sorry, we're not getting involved in that,' like she hadn't been the one to fix up Menoly's resume or help Starrk figure out how to get custody of Lilynette. Like she'd never walked into the center of howling internal fights and brokered peace across fields of pocket knives and bloodied broken bottles.

Orihime's arms come up around her, hesitant, then her fists clench on Nel's shirt against her shoulder blades. Close, close and then closer, clinging right back, and Nelliel wants to kiss her face, kiss the tears away and then her mouth, wants to topple the two of them backwards so she can wind a leg around Hime's legs, coil them together head to toes. 

Grimmjow will laugh so hard when she tells him she basically pavloved herself into expecting makeup sex in such a situation.

Who was your first muse? Are you interested in creating an oc and roleplaying as them?

          out of character.  My first ever roleplay muse was Itachi Uchiha from Naruto, my debut in selecting doomed-to-die villain characters for my gremlin brain to hyperfixate upon. Is this shocking to anyone ?  Probably not !  I wrote him on a website called Chatango. Gin very soon joined the movement as I quickly became obsessed with writing fictional characters into the late hours with strangers online. Some things never change.

          I’m not sure if I’ll ever feel perfectly comfortable enough to bring my old old old OC’s onto Tumblr. I’m not very confident in them all; they were created when I was a very young teenager as comfort characters, akin to imaginary friends basically, stuffed animals and scribbles in notebooks. I wanted to write a series about them, and essentially did -- six journals of roughly 300-400 pages containing their little adventures. However, I started getting really hard on myself with their structure, the story in general began to crumble apart with my criticisms. They’re back home with my parents, now, stuffed in a box in my old closet.

          Due to my discomforts especially in thinking whether or not they’re good enough characters to entice interactions, as well as my track record in getting copied, I don’t think I ever will bring them here. They’ll live on in my daydreams, though. For funsies, a little trivia: my first ever “fleshed out” OC was a little mouse with a sword that fought big monsters, lovingly crafted way back when I still sucked my thumb. As I got a little older, I wrote little adventures about him every time I had a creative writing assignment at school, which then evolved into my wolf character and my shapeshifting rag-tag team of OC’s based on animals, mythical and not so much.

Madara looks at him blankly.

“You mean you don’t have it?” He raises an eyebrow. “You know someone in your family that has Uchiha blood? Who?”

Maybe it’s too distant of a relative. But surely the gene passes on pretty easily. It’s not unheard of to stay in the family even for generations of outside marriages. But, he supposes, even those cases are outliers; they were still inbred to a degree. So, he’s really not sure how long the Sharingan genes will stay in a branched-off bloodline.

"Uh, excuse me, sir, but may I ask you a question?" 13-year-old Gin nervously asked.

Oh, boy.

“What is it, kid?” Madara asked. Why were all these kids talking to him all of a sudden? Hashirama definitely told him he looked scary. Kids didn’t talk to scary people, did they? Madara had no idea.

What inspired you to take on your current muse (that you are posting this on): This muse is my original character from a novel I was planning to write back when I was in my early teens. And has been restructured on multiple occsions to fit any story or roleplay I end up delving into. As such this character has been my first and my best muse in the fact that I have portrayed this character for a very long time.

What are your favorite aspects of your current muse: I have a very clear understanding of this particular character and how she interacts in any situation. Out of all my original characters, she has the most work into her workings and portrayal. I may not be this character in real life, but she is who I would want to be or strive to be in real life.

What’s your biggest inspiration when it comes to writing: My friends I have made through role play. Really. They have been a blessing from God in many ways. Koyoshi Tsuki is the best epic werewolf sister I could ever ask for and I adore her. Yuushiro Mochizuchi is my silly bean sis who gives me rays of summer sunshine. And my Neko Shirosaki is the most awesome and sassy gal I will ever have the joy to know. I also have the great pleasure of playing a kind of hide and high five with @yourwhiterabbits to my sheer delight. Plus @thedemongunman and @mysteriousshopkeeper have given me a reason to check tumblr like... Four times a day for replies. (you two are awesome and I send thee many many hugs) Add in @generation13samurai, @nicholas-wolfwood, and the ever amazing dork @typhcccn, and I have the best of mutuals to ever grace my internet connection. These people are my reason to get up in the morning. You all give me the nudge I need to pursue my day with a smile. So all you people, give yourselves hugs from me. I adore you.

Favouite types of threads: The ones where the writing is so dang perfect you could publish the plot into a novel. The kind that makes me write a fanfic or short story and my friends gush over. The kind that makes me glad I woke up that day. This is more than just a hobby. This is a passion. This is my anti-depressant. This is my reason to have a smile every day.

Biggest struggle in regards to your current muse: Waiting for someone / anyone to reply back. I try to be patient with my mutuals. I really do. But the fan in me tends to paw at my computer monitor.

I've read a lot about the uchiha brothers and 'it's a bit early' but if you have some ideas for... what will Yaya, Mate, Gin, Wakaba ,+ Katsura ?be like as a mother.

The mamas! Under the cut because it’s kinda long

Katsura

She would seek advice immediately other women around her as she knows she’s in over her head

She will also gag while changing her first particularly stinky diaper

But she is a headstrong woman and would set her mind to doing this mothering thing

Once that kid is too big, they are not getting picked up anymore she’s very short, what would she look like carrying a child half her size 💀

Memorizes all their favorite foods and desserts to make them on special occasions

Uses everyday moments as teaching ones

She’s ready to fight the other mothers and their children for her child if need be

Would be the loudest mother cheering for their kid at the the exams

Teaches them about poisons and swordsmanship

She’s the mom that will keep her kid’s secrets. Even from her husband

Gin

She would be so awkward with a baby at first

How do you hold it? She’s supposed to just put it to her chest to feed it? Why does it sleep so much but not when it should?

Once she gets the basics down, she’ll be okay

But very protective of the baby. No you can’t hold them, they aren’t some pet to be passed around

Makes bone play structures for the kids and it would creep people out a bit

She would raise her child(ren) how her father raised her; strict but with love

She’s their first sparring partner and continue to push them to be stronger

Quitting isn’t acceptable. They don’t have to be a legendary warrior, but what ever they chose to do, they better give it their all

“You can date when you’re 27” - Gin. She doesn’t mean it, but she will still be shocked if her kids start dating in their teens.

When she was a teen she was on battle fields fight grown men, so this is better? She doesn’t know

Mate

Would introduce herself at the child’s birthday like “hi… I’m your mother 🥹🥲😭”

Honestly would wrap up her child and carry them everywhere with her

Doesn’t see the point in being overly strict as a child is only a child for so long

Very gentle and nurturing

Kisses scraped knees and elbows as well as gives raspberries

Knows all the remedies for tummy aches and colds

She will cry when her child reaches training age and leaves the house excitedly for the first time to join their father

Makes sure to drop their lunches off with them and that dinner is hearty and ready for them when they get home

Probably not the only mom that would ask their child(ren) if they want a sibling. It’s very important that they are okay with the idea of a larger family

She’s the mother that would get a nanny. Tenko can afford one easily and she likes her beauty sleep, so why not?

Insist on dressing up the baby in silks with pretty embroidery just because

Her maternal instincts need a bit of work, but she is playful with her children

Their tantrums would stress her out

Also would brag about their accomplishments, especially in fire jutsu

Definitely would spoil her children rotten because the deserve the best

Might regret how spoiled she raised them later

Yaya

She’s a natural at motherhood and really enjoys it

The kids are welcome to sleep next to her until their lure grown for all she cares (Inari would have to bribe the kid to sleep in their own room)

She’s the type to help them whenever they need it. Tough love? She doesn’t know her

If they have a problem, mama will help them the best she can

Loves all the kid gifts and would keep them in a chest for safe keeping and would probably pull them out to show them when they’re older

Neighborhood mom, she looks out for all the children and let’s them hang out at her place, although she would send for back up if too many showed up (most likely Ringo, Mate, or Gin)

Learned how to make dango just for the kids

Ringo

Expects her man to help raise HIS kids. Her father was ab active part of her life and wasn’t pig headed about it, so the bar is high

She gets her mom to move in for the first few months with her newborn because she wants her pro tips

Then would proceed to try to do her own thing and end up whining about becoming engorged because she let the baby sleep verses waking them up for a feeding

Probably leaves rouge stains on the babies face from kissing their cheeks too much and tries to get off

She is definitely the mother that can’t cook and everything taste like cardboard (send help)

But she is the fun mom!!

good night 😊, do you have some ideas in mind for little hcs about the wives of the uchiha brothers (their characters, strong point, weak point, would they want a children?)and what do they think of their husbands?

Most are ready for the dive, but there are expectations

Mate

Mate is a little powerhouse and extremely skilled with her weather manipulation. Able to pinpoint targets precisely with lightning, summon gale force winds, bring about thick fog, and torrential downpours that could flood a village easily

Although she only uses it to help others, it can just as easily be used to harm or destroy

She’s a kindhearted person that loves the simpler things in life and has great knowledge about plant husbandry

Unfortunately for her, she’s just very trusting/unaware and has her abilities to thank for saving herself from otherwise dangerous situations (dull, as Izuna would put it)

Growing up with such a close knitted clan, she’s found it hard to adapt to being on her own

Often looking for new people to befriend and rebuild her community

Her dream life is settling down with a sweet man, working the land, and if that leads to children, great!

As for marrying Izuna;

It was hypocritical! When she said she’d marry any son Sumi had if they were available because there’s no way he wouldn’t be the perfect husband

she didn’t think Sumi would ACTUALLY take her seriously or that Sumi was of such a high level

She always dreamed of marriage and what Sumi was offering, sounded really nice (handsome husband, a bigger home, plenty to eat, etc..), how bad can it be to at least meet the guy?

Pretty bad actually

Izuna barely looked at her and had a backhanded insult ready for practically everything she said

“Sweet boy” was a stretch of the imagination on Sumi’s part

He is handsome and strong, so she wasn’t lying about that

She assumed that was that and genuinely was shocked when Sumi sent for her and her stuff to be gathered and brought back to the Uchiha compound

Things are moving a bit fast for her usual take it easy approach to things and she’s unsure of what to do 🥲

She really doesn’t understand why they’re proceeding at all. Did they miss their constant bickering?

On one hand, she’d be marrying into a community (which she’d love) and be taken care of financially, but on the other hand

She’s convinced he hates her

And she is willing to give him an actual reason to

He’s got cute cats he’s very attached to and she thinks that making them like her more than him will be the perfect lesson for his rudeness before she vanishes

Wakaba

She is a decent when it comes to her Jutsus and awaken her sharingan when she lost her little brother

quite the troublemaker and always had been known as such in their clan for years

Doing whatever she wanted, when she wanted

Which is precisely why she set her sights on Tenko despite him being her friend’s older brother

He was good looking, funny, well accomplished, and she genuinely liked and wanted him. So she went for it

Flirting quickly lead to the two hooking up regularly

She was embarrassed when Sumi sat her asked to see her abdomen and when the last time she bled was

The pregnancy would be completely unexpected as she thought she was taking the medicine to prevent one properly
