The artist was painting in his room as usual when he heard some noises different than usual and walked outside the center to see a bunch of chosen with judges, Jacob and in front of him Astrid with her pack of wolves, the deer quickly understood that something was off and walked closer to understand that she had failed a mission. He stayed back and looked at the scene, Jacob irritated more than usual and Astrid clearly feeling uncomfortable and scared, even her black wolves looked terrified of Jacob. The Soldier yelled that it was unacceptable and took his gun and shoot one of her wolves, something he did when she failed. They were 8 before Eden’s gate took her life and now 6… Eric jumped at the sound of the gunshot towards the wolf skull, he knew the wolves were like her last family, after her sacrifice. he walked closer but Jacob shouted a last thing before letting her go

"You see the red cross on my judges? It’s to show how strong they are. The white one on your wolves is just a target when I want to shoot them. Understood Astrid?"

When she quickly walked out of the gates with her remaining pack, Eric walked closer, "Are you insane ?!"

The man glared at his visit "failure is not acceptable. He sais’d with his usual cold eyes

-Jacob, you know how her wolves are important for her

-yeah exactly so every time she’ll fail, I’ll shoot another one.

-wha-?! And what will you do after killing them all ?!

-I’ll Kill her, obviously

-Jacob you made her kil- sacrifice her own mother and these wolves are the only family she has left

-do i look like i give a shit ? Come on, stop being all soft for every person you see, y’know she’s just a tool

-… you would like me or someone to come and kill your brothers ?!

He walked closer, towering him with his piercing eyes

Go on, try.

-wha- it’s not what i meant !"

They looked at each other, the Soldier too irritated to even try understand the artist point and just glared at him. The chosen stayed silent when the artist walked back in direction of the gates, probably mumbling at how stubborn the old man was, after a moment the Soldier looked at the gates of the center and just let out a sigh

First of all, thank you so much for sending these!! <3 Second, HOW did you know that these were the ones I planned to draw anyways?? (I'm even more grateful because I could start on them sooner now eheheh Not me sketching out two whole scenes for this hkgfflhld)

I’m here to ask about the blorbos!

What’s a random piece of world building (or multiple pieces) that’s too insignificant to be on site, but still exists in your head?

To be fair there is a lot of stuff I haven't gotten around to writing out and detailing. I have a (currently private) Toyhouse world for Sparrowmage where I'm slowly working on writing out everything I've thought out over the years. Some big highlights:

The organization that leads magical education internationally is The Avian Society, originally born from a group of seven mages who sought to bring magic into an era of acceptance and education, as it and all magical creatures were feared at the time by nonmagical beings. Each of these mages founded academies in different regions of the world. Only a couple of them have lived to the modern era because of their long lifespans, one of them being Headmaster Gallifrey of Sparrowmage Academy, the school that's the main focus of the story.

The Avian Society is named such because each of the original seven mages had bird familiars of which they were only known by as they hid their identities. Gallifrey is the Sparrowmage, there is also: hawk, raven, owl, swan, condor, and heron. Obviously, the academies are named after these past aliases. I'm currently working out the details of the other original mages, but my goal is to translate various ethnicities and cultures into an interesting array of characters both human and not... and also to at least create a basic idea of the architecture and traditions of each academy as determined by the regions in which they operate and the symbolism each bird familiar has (I'll figure out specific species eventually as well)

I also would like to detail many of the species I have in mind for this world. My most developed is my interpretation of sphinxes, they are quad/bipedal sophonts with rigid mask-like faces that mimic human features. There are mammalian, avian, and reptilian subspecies of sphinxes, they're larger than humans and have species-specific diets. My characters Ishmael and Astrid are my fully fleshed out sphinx characters, Ishmael is mammalian and Astrid is avian!

There are also dragontaurs of various kinds, like Zbaltazar and Olivine. I feel like my interpretations of sphinxes and dragontaurs are the most unique of all races of humanoids I feature in this world, so I'd like to someday put together a comprehensive guide to them both

Cringetober Day 11: 5+1 Things

Avi is an alien that was in The Facility with Ivan. He's around the age equivalent to a human 12-year-old for his species. He is also very distrusting. He escaped at the same time Ivan did, but they were separated. He's very protective of Ivan, and when he finds him again while he’s with Ivy, Avi distrusts her. He's a sweet kid, but he has many issues to sort out.

Diego is essentially a ghost (more like consciousness attached to Ivan's soul) (even tho its really Diego's soul) (aha. that's all you get to know) who is very grumpy and standoffish, but he does care. Only Ivan can see him, which means he gets very lonely a lot. He does like to watch TV, though.

You can trust The Angel, don't worry.
