OBDSTAR Updated Toyota 2022- 8A-BA Proximity Bypass PIN

In July of 2023, OBDSTAR announced an update for Toyota 2022–4A proximity AKL. Subsequently, on August 10th, 2023, they made another announcement about a new update that introduces the 8A-BA 2022- chip type.

Some tools that can program Toyota 8A-BA 2022- chip type are obdstar x300 dp plus, obdstar x300 pro4, key master dp plus, key master 5(Toyota software version V32.83 onwards).

For this update, locksmiths will need Toyota 30 Cable and Key SlM (for all keys lost situations).

The following is an demo of how to Program 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross simulated key (4A Proximity) using Key Master DP Plus, Toyota-30 cable, Key SlM and main cable.

Procedure:

Use the Toyota-30 CABLE to connect the vehicle proximity key and OBD interface

Open Key Master DP Plus>> navigate to main interface, choose “car immo”

Select the corresponding brand model and function menu

It added Toyota 4A and 8A-BA models proximity key programming (no need pin code), and all keys lost (need Key SIM). OBDSTAR TOYOTA -30 Cable is needed for this upgrade.

OBDSTAR TOYOTA- 30PIN connector:

This Toyota 30 cable also can be used for Autel IM508, IM608 Pro, IM508S, IM608 II, and AVDI.

With this cable, there is no need to pierce, hook, or plug and unplug harness during operation, and there is no risk of damaging communication cables!

How to use OBDSTAR X300 DP PLUS to generate simulated card?

Please refer to test report about OBDSTAR X300 DP Plus makes simulator key for Toyota A8 type all keys lost via Key SIM.

Before operation, update OBDSTAR X300 DP/ X300 DP Plus / X300 Pro4 TOYOTA to the newest version.

Connect X300 DP Plus with the Toyota vehicle

Select IMMO-> Asia TOYOTA LEXUS-> TOYOTA/LEXUS V32.36-> Manual Select system-> PROXIMITY-> TYPE 5 (ALL Smart KEYS LOST)

Step 1: Read EEPROM

Read the on-screen instruction -> read out the original EEPROM data and backup

Step 2: Make simulated card

Select “Make Simulated Card” and ensure the internet connection is normal.

Read the function instruction carefully can make sure the simulated card is fully charged.

Select the vehicle EEPROM data has been saved in step 1 and press “Enter” to continue

Confirm you have a Key SIM simulated card in hand and connect it to X300 DP Plus

It will generate the A8-type simulated card in 1 or 2 minutes.

Generate the simulated card successfully

Then put the OBDSTRA Key SIM close to the start button of the car and try to light the meter.

When starting the car, ensure to stamp down on the brake pedal, and at the same time, press the ignition switch of the car. Very important stuff!
