A massive thank-you to BethTheBeek and VeriTimeLord for helping me get this shot. Yall are the coolest.

I put *so* much thought into this shot and I need to tell people about it. I wanted to include both themes for the contest (Steel and mirrors), as well as make nods towards the 11th anniversary of warframe.

Nyx (11) Nyx is the 11th warframe to be released (If you count Excalibur prime, which I do.)

Proto Skins (Steel/Mirrors) The proto skins have plenty of metallic, exposed swordsteel parts, alongside being a reflection of what we have to look forward to with WF: 1999.

Excalibur (Steel/Mirrors) Excalibur wields his exalted blade. You seriously can't go wrong with swords tbh. Excalibur also contrasts with Nyx here as a pair of mirrored warframes, as Nyx was initially intended to be a feminine counterpart to Excalibur. As equally as he and his proto are mirrors of each other, so is he a mirror of Nyx as well.

Dex Colors/Helmet/Weapon (Anniversary/11) Proto Excalibur uses the Dex helmet, there is a Dex Nikana on modern Excalibur's hip, and both of the modern frames use colors exclusively found on the Dex color picker.

Nyx, upon waking up after being in Time Jail for several centuries, seeing the Princess of the Underworld - whom she saw last as an infant, now grown - getting into romantic situationships with two of her most chaotic daughters and also her very isolationist works with the Fates son, whom she hasn't seen in centuries probably:

Chthonic Gods' Cabins Headcanons

Children of Hades, Persephone, Nyx, Hypnos, Nemesis, Hecate, Thanatos, Eris, Geras, Selene, etc. Any God that lives in the underworld or is a child of God that lives in the underworld.

They refer to themselves as Hellspawn endearingly.

They are so much more loyal to each other than to children of other Gods. They're all united by the underworld.

They have sleepover in the Hades Cabin. Chiron doesn't know, and he wouldn't allow it if he did. The Hecate Cabin masks their presence so others can see, hear, or sense them.

They treat children of Hades like royalty. They're all the pretty princesses of the underworld. They put a pink, fuzzy crown on Nico one time. He didn't particularly enjoy it, but he didn't stop them.

They make homemade candles and hold rituals in cemeteries and abandoned playgrounds.

They always make sure Hazel is welcome at camp. She is a queen. She can't be uncomfortable or unhappy at camp half blood.

They held a grand funeral for Bianca. She has a beautiful burial plot. Fresh flowers every week.

Sometimes they go frolicking through the underworld, holding hands and skipping. Purely for the irony.

They kind of consider Will one of them? They're a bit iffy about him because he's a son of Apollo, the sun god, but they appreciate how happy he makes Nico.

The underworld children that can summon spirits (Mostly Hades children. Children of Hypnos can make dead people appear in dreams. Few children of Nemesis can control vengeful spirits. Few children of Ares can call upon dead soldiers who lost their war. Thanatos children.) will gossip about the spirits they spoke to. They'll also work together to try to summon a lost friend or family member, to give one of them some form of closure.

The Hades cabin leads their little clique. Planning outings and meetings.

The Hypnos cabin regulates their dreams, making sure everyone sleeps relatively okay. They keep their dreams not terrible for the most part.

Children of Selene will use their powers to radiate moonlight, effectively making other children of the underworld slightly more powerful.

Children of Nemesis act as their regulators, their judges. If someone wronged one of them, the entire Nemesis cabin will get revenge for them.

Children of Nyx are their guards. All they have to do is look at someone, and they'll think a million times before they even interact with one of them.

Children of Persephone will grow flowers and fruit for them. They keep their lives bright and meaningful. A symbol of peace, even if only in short periods.

Children of Hecate will enchant anything for them. Magical weapons mean more security. And Tarot readings. A small glimpse into the future will calm them down so much.

Children of Geras will give them wisdom. Old age comes with experience. And experience leads to knowledge. An excellent guide for young, inexperienced demigods.

Children of Eris will remind everyone of what someone has done. Never forgetting someone's blatant wrongdoings. They warn everyone when they hear about something someone has done, trying to keep them out of trouble.

In light of Hades 2 adding new designs and MORE Nyxblings, here's a little face study I did of Chaos, Nyx, and their family. Someone once mentioned that Nyx's children who's got features she doesn't have actually have Chaos' features instead, and I wanted to compare and see which child resembles who more.

Additionally, shoutout to @blood-starved-beast for their post about the age order of Nyx's children because it has helped immensely with the brainrot.

Detailed analysis under the cut.

Firstly, the parents:

For parent and daughter, Chaos and Nyx don't really look the same. However, the cheekbones and jawline that could cut glass is hereditary lol. I wonder if there are other children of Chaos who look more similar to them?

I also like how Chaos' Hades 2 appearance could be a nod to them reconnecting with Nyx and probably wanting to look more "normal" (or as normal as they could get) for the family reunions. The exact same makeup style is cute.

Next up, we have the older children (excluding the Fates, whom we haven't seen yet):

Charon is a tough nut to crack because his portrait is so heavily shadowed and he also wears a bigass hat, so I don't really know his facial structure, but from what I could see, it's more like Chaos'.

Moros' eye shape is weirdly different from the rest of the siblings, but they appear to be downturned and large, which is closer to Nyx's eye shape. While his facial structure is more like Chaos', his eyes in particular make him look softer.

Nemesis actually has a different face structure from Nyx. Her coloring is the exact same (sans skin tone), but not the face. However, her hairstyle is similar, including the updo.

Lastly, the younger children:

It's probably because Hypnos' expression was drawn more comically, but as soon as I take a good look at his new portrait it's made greatly apparent that he and Thanatos are actually identical in terms of facial features. What makes them appear even more different is the hairstyle; Than's go straight down, Hypnos' is fluffy and piled high on his head. They also have similar face shape as Nyx, but with a squarer jawline.

You'd think their hairstyles are radically different. However, this official art of long-haired Than shows that his hair curls at the ends. His hair is straight now, but I'd like to think he straightens it out, because otherwise it would look a bit wavy still.

As for Eris, people keep saying that Nem looks like Nyx the most, but Eris looks astonishingly similar to Nyx. Oh, the irony of looking like the parent you detest.

Summary (and some thoughts):

Face structure-wise, the older children look more like Chaos, while the younger children look more like Nyx.

Of all Nyxblings we've known, only Nemesis has black hair.

Except for Charon, the children's eye art style is reversed between Chaos' and Nyx's (the ones with purple eyes have visible pupils and highlights, while the gold-eyed ones have no visible pupil or highlight).

Where did the curly hair genes come from? The twins are explicitly stated to be fatherless, too. Maybe some other children of Chaos have curly hair? Maybe Gaia, as she was mentioned in Hades 2?

I have a theory that the older children look more eldritch (more similar to Chaos), and only started to look "normal" during Nyx's separation from Chaos, and the cutoff point is Moros, unless Momus is older than him. Would be cool if the Fates are an amalgam of three bodies, because they're triplets and older than Charon.

Thanatos cutting his hair was actually a smart decision because his new hairstyle flatters his face shape more. I'm sorry darling but you don't have game in styling long hair. Too bad he and Moros don't know each other, big brother could've given him tips.

The entire family is hot. Nuff said.

it seems like melinoe is being trained for the task of recusing her father hades from cronos. there might be some push back from nemesis, school rival, about melinoe being picked for this, maybe we get to fight against her in-game?

Hi, yeah, I’ve got thoughts and predictions on Hades II already:

So Melinoë’s mythologically the daughter of Zeus, who had her with Persephone while disguised as Hades? That’ll be interesting.

The goddess with the pointed hat is 1000% Hecate, goddess/Titan of magic and crossroads. The dual torches thing is very much one of her symbols.

Given Hecate’s association with crossroads, the Moirai (the Fates) will likely appear in the game.

We saw Moros and Nemesis. Both are children of Nyx, representing Doom and Revenge respectively. Given Hades is in chains, Nyx has likely gone missing or has also been captured.

Given two of Nyx’s children have already been shown, I’d say there’s a good chance Eris (Strife) shows up.

Melinoë is associated strongly with the moon, so Aether and Hemera could also show up. Selene will definitely show up.

The game seems to start on the surface world, and I’m guessing it will stay that way. It avoids repeated settings, and it keeps Zagreus from showing up to help.

Since the map will be entirely on the surface, and given Cronus’ role as primary antagonist, I propose that the different bosses will be the Titans of the cardinal directions (Iapetus, Hyperion, Coeus, and Crius).

If the bosses are the cardinal Titans, then the cardinal wind gods may also appear: Boreas, Zephyrus, Notus, and Eurus.

The midstage NPCs will be some of the imprisoned Titans, like Atlas and Prometheus.

If Prometheus appears, Pandora may as well, since she was the wife of Prometheus’ brother, Epimetheus.

The Hecatoncheires will show up as a miniboss, since they’re siblings to the Titans. Same with the Cyclopes.

The first game had Cerberus and the Hydra in it. This game will have their siblings: the Chimera, the Sphinx, and the Nemean Lion.

Buckle up folks because we were talking about wrong things this entire time. Character designs who knows them.. Nemesis & Melinoë tension who? They went as wild as you can get interaction with non other than retribution incarnate going how about i gonna smack you once for the road with consent of course.

Her. Like just her. She came to serve and she succeeded. The laminar? armor that still has a cinched waste just like most plate armor. That little buckler the she definitely has murdered people with. The fact that she has armored thigh highs and hoops despite being a no nonsense murder godess?!?

Also, she really looks like her mom. Her hair is very similar and those two floating things evoke the same hairstyle without actual committing to it. Her little round titty plates and the moon mirror the three skulls on Nyx's dress and even her gaze evokes the same intensity. Nyx I think looks arrogant, regal. She stares straight at you daring you to offend her. Nemesis also has an arrogance but instead of the regal bearing she has a focused fury.

It's honestly remarkable how many elements they share. I'm sure if I compared the other children of Nyx, there would be similarities, but this feels much more than just a few details. They both have chokers, but Nyx's only covers half her throat. It's the kind of thing a queen wears. Nemesis's gorget (fancy words) completely covers the throat. Maybe this shows a lack of a real voice or a hesitancy to speak out.

I wonder how Nemesis truly feels about Nyx? Where I am in the game she's expressed anger but with all these details I think she craves a love that was maybe never shown. The fact that she models her dress on Nyx. Wearing a crown in with the same purple in the same spot. The hints of gold on her armor trim. Her hair being up in the same way. It all makes me wonder if Nemesis resents those who live in the house of hades. From context clues Nyx seems to have acted more like Chaos when she was younger and now that she's showing more warmth what if Nemesis, the embodiment of revenge, can't let go?
