I always appreciate when I am alerted to the red carpet action in Mumbai, as this isn’t a territory that Getty Images covers.
I received many message about Deepika Padukone attending the Nykaa Femina Beauty Awards held in Mumbai, India on Tuesday (February 18).
When it comes to this Yanina Couture black velvet gown from the Spring 2019 collection, my reaction was that it feels like this would’ve worked better on Dita von Teese.
My overall feeling about this have me torn.
The tulle puffed sleeves are giving me the drama I crave, yet they’re also giving the look a rather dated feel.
But to turn this into a triangle (third point), the dress would’ve felt pretty basic without.
Perhaps the real issue I have with this is the jewels. Just the earrings would have sufficed.
The look feels so much cleaner with no jewels on the runway.
