nct dream playing league of legends

ok so this is completely self-indulgent because i finally got a new computer and can properly play league again ahfjkhfjh. a quick rundown for anyone who hasn’t played the game:

the objective is to destroy the nexus in the enemy team’s base, which can be reached through three different lanes.

top lane: brawlers and fighters mid lane: assassins and mages bot lane: one marksman and one support jungle: neutral camps

some other terms cs: creep score, number of minions killed in lane kda: kill, death, assist ratio gank: going into another lane to flank the enemy

mark: “nice job bro”

the reliable jungler. or at least, he tries to be.

will constantly come help you if you're getting beat up in lane. laughs when his ganks fail but will hype you up when it works.

always lets you get the kill and apologizes profusely if he accidentally steals it.

forgets that dragons exist “oh wait dude, dragon was up?? FUCK WAIT THAT WAS ELDER”

he'd play rammus, nunu and zac, literally all the wholesome, funny characters. memorizes their voice lines and repeats them while he clears his camps.

would quite literally die for willump. if he dies and hears nunu say “no! don’t leave me, willump!” he’ll go on a muderous rampage when he respawns.

renjun: "GET ME OUT."

the mage midlaner who’s hardstuck in silver and can’t get out.

the ranked matchup algorithm hates him and puts him with an entire team of trolls.

at first he refused to play the game, but somehow got addicted overnight. hates the game.

preaches against the objectification of sexy female characters and bonks evelynn to horny jail whenever he sees her.

a farming and skillshot GOD. perfect cs even under tower, lands everything and people think he’s scripting.

plays mage assassins like ahri and leblanc, artillery mages like lux and xerath.

refuses to spend money on the game and relies on skin shards.

mass reports everyone he doesn’t like. you didn’t say gg to him? reported

jeno: "ggwp <3"

the wholesome top laner who beats people up and then friend requests them at the end of the game.

looks tough, has a deep username, so people are scared of him. in reality he’s just having fun

has the most wholesome emotes.

while everyone’s casually laning, he’ll already be in the enemy base at 20 minutes, 1v5ing and singlehandedly ending the game.

sends cute faces in all chat as if he doesn’t have a perfect kda and can beat your ass to the moon.

probably plays sett, malphite (oh god), gwen, renekton... probably has the patience for nasus too.

never fucking pings before he teleports but it somehow works out.

haechan: *aggressively pings enemy missing*

TOXIC ASSASSIN MAIN CHANGE MY MIND.

he’s good, has good mechanics, but usually ends up getting way too cocky after two kills, constantly dies while diving the enemy.

spams pings on people and emotes whenever he gets a kill.

plays teemo just to be a little shit.

istg he’d play zed, yasuo, yone, katarina, all the assassins. “you need skill to play yasuo.” proceeds to go 0/20/1

streams his games on twitch and accidentally sends the link in all chat so the enemy can stream snipe him.

either he carries or he’s useless.

takes special game modes just as seriously for some reason ?? buddy calm down it’s just super mario party

anyways i love you donghyuck <3

jaemin: "you're doing great sweetie. just fucking amazing."

the passive aggressive support main and i stand by that.

likes the pretty champions and will buy ONLY pink skins and chromas, even if it’s for a champion he doesn’t play. pink warwick?? hell yeah

pretends he’s proud of you even if he’s completely, utterly done with your dumbass.

the passive aggressive, disappointed comments like “you need me to get that cannon for you? no? you can do it yourself? andddd you missed it. nice job sweetie. we just lost 60 gold.”

lets people play ranked with him even if they’re bad and then he has to smile through the pain of demotions.

plays champs like yuumi, lulu, janna, morgana.

will play yuumi and do nothing just to spite you. “sorry you died but my heal is on cooldown.”

is really sweet sometimes though <3

chenle: "i got autofilled."

unbothered king.

he can play every role pretty decently, and gets experimental with his champion picks. like he’ll take a mage into the jungle and somehow get away with it, or play a support against a brawler and beat them up ??

just laughs at everyone’s pain and doesn’t really care about his rank.

secretly owns thirty smurf accounts.

has the dumbest ideas like selling all his items and buying 6 mana crystals.

will somehow get the entire team to partake in said dumb idea; in other words, jisung’s worst nightmare.

dances in lane while his team is fighting. “GUYS LOOK AT ME.” “chenle DO SOMETHING.”

again, he plays e v e r y t h i n g

also streams on twitch and makes a whole army to bring donghyuck down.

jisung: "my entire team is dead and they think it's my fault."

the stressed support main.

he’s good at the game but can’t possibly save his entire dumbass team from certain death.

ends up having to fight tooth and bone on his own while the rest of his team is dead.

always calling the shots but no one listens to him so he just talks to himself instead, “guys, stop splitting up- oh and they’re all dead. k i’m gonna go over here.”

plays engage tanks like nautilus, leona and blitzcrank. engages the wrong enemy and gets yelled at.

refuses to play ranked with anyone. not even renjun. n o o n e. trust no one.

ends up playing tft, the autochess of league. because at least it’s every man for himself. somehow climbs to diamond.

Nunu (and Willump) with mother figure reader? (fem, since mother figure ;v;) I think little Nunu deserves some kind of mother figure after his mother passed away...

Nunu tem vagas lembranças de seus pais;

Mas ele reconhece o sentimento cálido e aconchegante ao estar nos seus braços;

Nunu admite que adora a sensação e que o acalma;

Ela sempre sendo zelosa, carinhosa e se preocupando com o menino como se fosse o filho dela;

Willump quando a conheceu foi cauteloso já que ela lembrava as pessoas que o maltrataram no passado;

Mas quando o yeti sente sua bondade e vê como ela é amável com os dois ele rapidamente se aquece;

Willump sempre derrete se ela penteia os pelos dele e talvez até ronrone de tão agradável que é para ele;

Ambos a adoram;

Espere guerras de bola de neve e outros jogos;

Um dos melhores momentos para os dois é a hora de dormir;

Como quando vocês se aconchegam no pelo de Willump e você canta ou conta uma história de suas aventuras antes de conhece-los;

Nenhum deles se cansa das histórias mesmo que você já contou mais de mil vezes;

Fazem planos de viajarem juntos pelo mundo;

Quando há perigo vocês se protegem cuidando um do outro;

Uma família é unida e formada pelo amor, quem disse que os laços sanguíneos são a definição de uma família?

Quem dizer uma besteira dessa espere no mínimo uma bola de neve gigante o atingindo com força e sem saber de onde veio.

Nunu has vague memories of his parents;

But he recognizes the warm and cozy feeling of being in her arms;

Nunu admits that he loves the feeling and soothes it;

She was always being zealous, lovely and caring for the little boy as if she were her son;

Willump when he met her was cautious since she remembered the people who mistreated him in the past;

But when the yeti feels her kindness and sees how kind she is to both of them he quickly warms up;

Willump always melts if her comb his fur and maybe even purrs as pleasant as it is for him;

They both adore her;

Expect snowball wars and other games;

One of the best times for both is bedtime;

Like when you snuggle up in Willump’s fur and you sing or tell a story of your adventures before you meet them;

None of them gets tired of the stories even though you’ve told them over a thousand times;

They make plans to travel the world together;

When there is danger, you protect yourself by taking care of each other;

A family is united and formed by love, who said that blood ties are the definition of a family?

Whoever says such a bullshit expect at least a giant snowball hitting him hard and without knowing where it came from.

Cuando hay peligro, se protegen cuidándose mutuamente;

Una familia está unida y formada por el amor, ¿quién dijo que los lazos de sangre son la definición de una familia?

Quien diga esa mierda espera al menos una bola de nieve gigante que lo golpee fuerte y sin saber de dónde vino.

Me despierto de repente, como cuando una historia comienza en plena acción.

La canción. ¡La escuché!

''¡Willump!'', grito. ''¡Volví a escuchar la canción! ¡Despierta!''.

Hago a un lado la nieve que teníamos de cobija y veo a la cara a mi esponjorroroso amigo. Sus bigotes se mueven, como si pudieran sentir que mi sueño desaparece lentamente. Él gruñe y su aliento hace remolinos de todo tipo de formas. Pero aunque es viejo y tiene pelos en las orejas, ¡es mi mejor amigo! Me río cuando me hace cosquillas en la nariz con su barba.

¡No hay nada como un yeti mágico para devolverme a la realidad!

Willump se da la vuelta y comienza a rascarse su barriga quejumbrosa. ''Siempre estás pensando en comida'', digo, riendo otra vez. Reírse se siente bien, me ayuda a recordar.

A mi mamá...

Hemos estado siguiendo su canción por todo el Fréljord... la canción del corazón de mi mamá. En todos los lugares que estuvimos, ella hizo un verso; si tan solo pudiera recordar cuál era cada lugar, podría encontrar el camino de regreso a ella. ¡Podría salvarla, como uno de los héroes de sus historias!

Pero solo puedo recordar fragmentos de la canción cuando no lo intento, y a veces... es como si mi mamá estuviera ahí afuera, cantando.

¡Justo así! ¿Escuchaste eso?

''Viene de esa aldea'', grito, señalando hacia una zona oscura, debajo de una cascada congelada. Algo en mi interior sabe que de ahí vino la canción. ''Primero la espada, Willump, ¡así cortaré el viento!''.

Momentos después, me estremezco conforme entramos al claro, a pesar de que estoy cubierto por pelaje desaliñadado. A pesar de estar muy cerca, la aldea es casi toda sombras. No hay personas... lo sabría si estuvieran ahí porque hace tanto frío que podría ver su aliento. ''¿Qué es este lugar?'', pregunto.

Willump gruñe sabiamente.

''¿Naljaäg'? No se puede llamar así. ¿Cómo podría alguien deletrearlo?''. Entonces, Willump gruñe, diciéndome que esa es la palabra yeti que significa ''piedra''.

Las edificaciones son piedras amontonadas que alcanzan una gran altura, y los senderos también son piedras. Piedras, entendido. Entonces... no es raro que las flores estén talladas en piedra, ¿cierto? Y esas pieles, colgadas en una puerta. ¡Y esa vieja cuerda! Bueno, sería una cuerda si no fuera dura y gris.

''¿Todo lo que hay aquí son piedras?'', pregunto. No es justo... las piedras en las historias suelen tener runas talladas, o algo.

Comienzo a preguntarme por qué la canción me trajo aquí, cuando finalmente veo a una persona, ¡está de espaldas bajo un arco!

''¡Me llamo Nunu, y estoy aquí para ayudar!'', grito y jalo del hombro de la persona... pero cuando se derrumba hacia la luz con un tonk apagado, me percato inmediatamente de que... ¡también es de piedra!

Y...

Más allá del arco están todas las personas faltantes de la aldea, agrupadas como estatuas. Hay uno que luce como un guerrero, solo que ahora es apagado y gris. Hay un granjero y su esposa, abrazándose con fuerza, como si los hubieran tallado en un solo bloque. Una niñita, una piedrita al lado de ellos.

Es una maldición, una verdadera.

''Willump'', digo. ''¡Debemos hacer algo!''.

Eso es lo que ocurre con las canciones de mamá. Mis favoritas siempre fueron las de leyendas y héroes, más que las batallas contra cualquier maldición. Con las lecciones que aprendí, podemos salvar a estas personas, ¿no es así? Tengo que creerlo, de otra forma... ¿Cómo voy a salvarla a ella?

Recuerdo una canción, un mito sobre cómo Avarosa curó a la tortuga que lleva el mar, dándole un gran beso. Pero... no quiero que mi primer beso sea con una estatua. Por si acaso, hago que Willump les dé un beso y observo cómo la piedra se pega a su pelaje.

Intento decir las oraciones que me enseñó Lissandra, por si las dudas. Hago un dragón de nieve para asustar a la maldición, ¡tal como hizo Anivia para pelear contra el ejército del sur! Incluso intento acercar más el sol, justo como Braum lo hizo para descongelar a su aldea en la canción que cantaba mi mamá. Pero el sol está muy lejos.

Los brazos de Braum deben ser muy largos.

Willump intenta consolarme. Dice que algunas maldiciones no se pueden romper. A veces, los héroes no ganan. Pero recuerdo lo que verdaderamente importa. Puedo sentirlo, a pesar de que mi mamá esté desaparecida y nuestra caravana enterrada en la nieve. La sensación de sentirse amado.

¡Eso es lo que esta aldea se merece!

''Si no podemos ayudar a estar personas'', le digo a Willump ''entonces, ¡tendremos que ayudar a estas estatuas!''.

Sonrío y tomo mi flauta. Digo, ¡mi espada! ¡Svellsongur!

¡Hora del héroe! ¡Ja!

Puedo oler la maldición, un hedor detestable, como a trol. Tiene el peso de siglos; un peso que podría reducir los años que tiene este chico a tan solo días. Este es el lugar donde incluso los héroes de la canción se preguntarían cómo pueden pelear si sus espadas son inútiles contra la magia ancestral.

Pero Nunu no es un héroe común. Él es algo mejor.

¡Es un niño!

Grita y llama mi atención hacia la cascada congelada sobre nosotros. Ahora, estamos lo suficientemente cerca para verlos, anidados en la quietud. Rocosos, criaturas de piedra animadas por la magia. Una aldea como esta es más que un hogar para ellos.

Su nido estancó el flujo del agua, reteniendo el sustento del Fréljord. Puedo saborear las intenciones de Nunu.

Saben a rocosos. Deliciosas.

''¡Oigan, cangrejos de piedra! ¡Ustedes tomaron algo de esas estatuas!'', grita Nunu y brinca sobre mi espalda sin perder el ritmo, porque la música está en su corazón.

Ahora, la magia es suya. Dejándome llevar por su imaginación, la nieve se forma ante nosotros, ¡convirtiéndose poco a poco en una poderosa bola de nieve! Me río mientras divagamos alocadamente, nuestra alegre carga crece tanto que, debajo de nosotros, la aldea se estremece y las edificaciones despiertan. Y la bola de nieve se hace aún más grande. Los rocosos solo producen ligeros chillidos mientras saltamos por los aires hasta la cima de la cascada, ocultando el sol.

El Fréljord se vuelve blanco y la nieve abraza la represa mientras la destruye.

Y entonces, la tierra ruge.

Las estalactitas crujen como huesos quebradizos por el invierno. El rugido se vuelve más estruendoso mientras el río tose y limpia el polvo de su garganta, con agua cayendo a la aldea de abajo.

''¿Viste eso, Willump?'', pregunta Nunu. Pero mis ojos ya están cerrados.

Puedo sentir una magia más poderosa que la maldición brotando para inundar la aldea. Hace estremecer mi pelaje y aporta calor a un mundo helado. Es la única magia que puede salvar al Fréljord. Incluso los congelados sueños de mi gente, codiciados por la Guardia Helada, palidecen en comparación con esta magia, que se da en abundancia en un niño.

Esperanza.

Sus brazos me rodean, y lo abrazo de vuelta con mis cuatro extremidades, alejando la mirada para que no pueda ver los copos de nieve que se deslizan por mis ojos.

La maldición no se ha roto. Pero de todas formas, la vida regresó. Y conforme se extiende, las flores de piedra se desvanecen para ser reemplazadas por las vivientes; ¿qué maldición podría interponerse en su camino? Ningún mal puede durar si la vida adopta a la alegría y se rehúsa a ocultarse...

Extiendo la mano hacia el suelo y recojo un pedazo de hielo, aplastándolo hasta hacerlo nieve entre mis patas.

''¡Oye!'', grita Nunu mientras lo golpeo en el rostro con una bola de nieve, persiguiendo la magia que se arremolina en su corazón.

Mientras jugamos, el viento genera una corriente que atraviesa la flauta que tiene Nunu en la espalda, tocando una melodía perdida. Finalmente, yo también la escucho.

La canción de ella.

Donde las aguas

Una vez rugieron,

Los vientos soplaron

Y piedras surgieron.

En la sombra,

Naljaäg yace.

El silencio canta.

La esperanza renace.
