REPORT
Extraction Report, 26th January, 2023 Submitted by Magdalena Swift, Head of Security and Extraction, Seward Building, London.
I am filing this report in regards to a call-out we received at 4am this morning to Abney Park Cemetery, Stoke Newton, in North London. As the alert was deemed “Significant Risk”, due to its location within a the heavily populated area, I attended the extraction myself. Given the hour of the morning, and the cemetery’s close proximity to a busy high street, I employed our standard security protocols: closing the cemetery gates for “Routine Maintenance” and posting several security officers outside to pose as building site staff. Had we located an asset within the grounds, we would have expanded the protocol field to cover the majority of the surrounding streets and businesses. However, this was not deemed necessary. My team and I spent three hours combing the cemetery, including a number of above-ground crypts and the central chapel. Our equipment was unable to locate any anomalous activity, below or above ground, although we did locate three teenagers, who confessed to have climbed the fence earlier in the night. Unless Mr Harker would like us to resort to grave robbing or babysitting, I have officially determined the call to be a false alarm. Given the resources and manpower wasted on today’s call-out, might I suggest a tighter restriction on what we deem “significant risk” in Asset Management? I understand maintaining vigilance within high-density areas, but we must have combed the London cemeteries a thousand times by now. The Nunhead Cemetery file was closed over two decades ago. The Highgate Vampire was proven to be a hoax a week before it even reached the papers. We are good at our jobs. If there was anything to find, we would have found it. Respectfully, I would like the time and ability to do the job you employed me for. Signed, Magdalena Swift.

Hela Scandinavian Goddess of Realm of the Dead
Funerary Grounds: Nunhead Cemetery
Nunhead Cemetery is one of the great Victorian and Magnificent Seven cemeteries located in London, England, established in a ring around the outskirts. It was originally known as All Saints’ Cemetery and was consecrated in 1840. Nunhead was owned by The London Cemetery Company however in 1960 they went bankrupt and the ownership changed to the United Cemetery Company. The UCC couldn’t run it profitably though and in so, it closed in 1969 and was left to rest with locked gates. In 1975, the Southwark Council apparently bought the site for £1 however, not much was done to it until they were awarded Lottery funding in the late 1990’s which allowed for the Friends of Nunhead Cemetery to renovate and restore the grounds. A good part of the cemetery is still overground with many gravestones and paths inaccessible and impossible to find.
Almost 270,00 people are buried in Nunhead and an unknown number of them came from the churchyard of St. Christopher le Stocks, being previously buried in the City of London. The first groups of bodies were moved in 1867 during the development of the Bank and then again in 1933 due to more redevelopment. St. Christopher le Stocks was located on the site that is now the Bank of England’s Garden Court. One of the most fascinating memorials in Nunhead is one commemorating the lives of nine young boys (ages between 11 and 14 years old) from the 2nd Walworth Scouts. Eight of them had been on a camping and sailing trip at Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey when their boat overturned and they drowned. The ninth was a boy from the training ship Arethusa named Frank Masters, who died trying to help them.
Hel is said to exist split, with one half of her alive and the other dead ~ understanding the balance of life and the cycles within.

Phone poem
23 March 2023
Black hairs around a black hole
Father death, mother life
I patrol gin alley with my aviation and feather boa
To break up an assault
Or bend over for a sailor
A foghorn booms
Doomscroll doomscroll”
And at Whitman’s house
we compare notes on men’s bodies
Gay boy Monday
Puffy beige jackets and seldom worn shoes
Nunhead couple
Chiselled Asian in a long black coat
Jo(e)
I see them as the train passes
Then trying to catch up
Past the kid’s plastic kitchen unit
A 100 metres behind
At home
I’m a sextoy
For my sextoy
And Jimmy, the sweet
Ratfaced boy

↳ the hospital. : forrest & elsie !
it wasn’t the first time forrest had struck misfortune in his century of immortality. the moment he had awoken on the battlefield among his dead friends with air still in his lungs, he had lurched awake and taken himself—breathless and panicked—to the medical bay. the medics had been stumped, measuring his heart rate and blood pressure only to find that both had bottomed out, their machines silent. as though a dead man walking. forrest had changed since his time as sergeant baudelaire. he had left that man in the dirt, etched on a memorial in nunhead that read: forever in our hearts. he had to laugh. the box beneath the soil had been empty for over a hundred years, and would likely lie empty for centuries to come. and yet, there he was, strung up to machines in the hospital of which he had been rushed into the night before. it was an unfortunate mistake, a miscalculation, that in his wolf form he had been clipped by a semi-truck and was found in the early hours, strewn out and barely clothed on the side of the road. forrest had been mottled with blood from his earlier kill. humans were stupid, and had assumed it had been him that had let it. his heart rate was no more than the flutter of a butterfly’s wings. his breathing was shallow, and yet forrest was wide awake, alert, as though nothing had happened at all. the blood transfusions he had been subject to were akin to being mainlined coffee straight into his bloodstream. if only he could put the blood bag to his lips and drink. in the early hours the little box of a hospital television played old, flickery reruns. he was propped up against the pillow, chuckling along to nosferatu as though it was a comedy. “have you ever seen this?” forrest asked the gentle-faced nurse, reclining bare-chested beneath the papery sheets. @sacriiilegious

🌷🌼🪻
There is something horrible about a flower;
This, broken in my hand, is one of those
He threw it in just now; it will not live another hour;
There are thousands more; you do not miss a rose
