this may be a silly question but when working with saints, how does one dispose of offerings?
I've seen some shrines that just seem to accumulate stuff forever, but like, e.g., at the end of a novena, it makes sense to me to water some plants with the water I left out.
But stuff like plants/wreaths/etc, you don't want them to go bad? Same with like. Food. This has probably been asked like a million times but it's like the #1 reason why I don't set things out aside from water and a candle bc figuring out how to dispose of that stuff is v stressful to me, since 1) I wanna make sure nothing is invasive/can cause harm to the land and 2) throwing it away seems...bad.
If you have any advice, I'd appreciate it!
Hi!
Goodness, I am so sorry for my long overdue response! My apologies. So your question; this is exactly why I do not offer anything like food. Do you eat it? Bury it? Chuck it in the bin with a small prayer? It is highly situational. Also; I do not feel comfortable feeding saints food. A high number of them had a very complicated relationship with food/food attracts all kinds of entities. I usually go for the water and candle route. If I feel something extra is needed; incense! Water, candle, prayer and smoke makes a nice offering. Dry plant material; I save in a box, and twice a year I empty it into a fire- midwinter and midsummer. Luckily saints are pretty easy on this subject; prayer ís also an offering. Time is also an offering. On the rare occasion that I do offer food, and the times comes to take if out of the saint shrine; I say a prayer and talk to the saint. I talk as if I was talking to a welcome guest who had just finished their plate. And even after a party, you have to do some cleaning. So that helps me. And with putting the food in the bin; another prayer thanking the food. If done with gratitude, there should not be a problem. And again, my apologies for my late response! Take care!

Novena Day 3 : Genesis 12-25 + Glorious Mysteries
Tl;dr : milquetoast takes on the life of Abraham... I actually had shockingly few notes on these sections so am pencilling in a re-read for an unspecified time in the future. The rosary was mostly dedicated to some private intentions so there was minimal insight from that on any of this.
The main takeaway from Abraham's life is the push and pull of sin and redemption. What I didn't realise before reading Abraham's section straight through was just how shaky Abraham's record is-- and how this a) contextualises the sacrifice of Isaac and b) provides a model for salvation.
The first thing we learn about Abra(ha)m is that he is descended from Noah via Shem-- a blessèd bloodline, rather than the cursèd Canaanite line descending from Ham. He is one of the chosen people. His relationship with God is natural but maybe too easy? He takes liberties, he sins, he pushes his luck. When God calls him and tells him to just up and leave from Haran, he does it without questioning, and builds altars everywhere he goes, no problem. He's devout. Then in ch12, he just straight up sells his wife to Pharaoh in Egypt to save his own skin in a rather Adam-coded move. Interestingly Pharaoh is the one to be immediately punished for this with "great plagues"-- even unwitting participation in sin is sinful. Pharaoh understandably tells him to piss off. So he pisses off and ends up in Sodom (o no).
A side note on the altar-building: it's quite evident from the way Abraham builds and talks about prayer and worship that worship is necessarily done through sacrifice, whereas prayer is a separate issue. Prots get rekt. (jk).
A second, related sidetone on the priesthood: Melchizedek appears in chapter 14, brings out bread and wine, and blesses Abram. My ESV titles this section "Abram blessed by Melchizedek" whereas my Douai-Rheims titles it "the sacrifice of Melchizedek", which seems to have somewhat different implications for the theology of the priesthood and the Mass. See above note about altar-building and worship. The earliest prefigurement of the Eucharist? I was reminded of that bit in the Mass when the priest says "blessed art thou o Lord of all creation for through your goodness we have received the wine we offer you etc etc" and the congregation responds: "blessed be God forever".
God's covenant with Abram is introduced in chapter 15, and there's a particularly interesting line after God has promised Abram that he will have a child despite being old, and that his line will proliferate and be glorious etc etc: "And [Abram] believed the Lord, and he counted it to him as righteousness". Faith and trust are often presented as more or less synonymous concepts, righteousness and obedience. It's Ecclesiastes all over again-- and it informs how Abra(ham) dips in and out of righteousness.
The episode with Sarai and Hagar then upends this entirely: Abram and Sarai do not really trust God, and so they resort to their own machinations to solve the problem of what they were promised. And it backfires entirely-- Sarai becomes jealous, they punish Hagar by Abraham basically sending her and her child to die in the woods, and now not only do they not have a child but their marriage is on the rocks and they're down a servant. Well done lads. God pulls through for Hagar and saves both her life and her dynasty because she trusts Him.
God then re-articulates his promise to Abram, re-names him Abraham and gives him circumcision to seal the deal. Given the earlier Eucharist moment, this flesh covenant seems another type of that, as well as the obvious prefigurement of baptism.
Tumblr media
Now, an interesting moment that isn't often talked about: God visiting Abraham in the form of three men. What this recalled for me was the moments in earlier chapters where God inexplicably refers to Himself in the plural: "let us make man in our image, after our likeness" (Gen 1:26), "behold the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil" (Gen 3:22). It's depicted most famously in Andrei Rublev's Troitsa (Trinity) (above). The dialogue in this section is between Abraham and a second interlocutor(s), who alternates between the three men speaking (presumably in unison?) and the Lord speaking in the singular: "They said to him, "where is Sarah your wife?" And [Abraham] said, "she is in the tent." The Lord said, "I will surely return to you about this time next year..." (18:9-10). This episode is then mirrored by the two angels visiting Abraham's nephew Lot in Sodom, who are clearly separate entities to each other, and to God, which only emphasises the weirdness of this ambiguous three-person God appearance. Unitarians get rekt.
Then we have the whole Sodom and Gomorrah episode, which honestly does not deserve the airtime it's had over the years. Between the "S+G is all about homosexuality" and "S+G is all about hospitality" crowds, it seems to me that the obvious answer is that the reason Sodom and Gomorrah had to be destroyed is that every person in the town been entirely overwhelmed by sin. The moment the angels arrive, "the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both young and old, all the people to the last man" appear to gang rape them. The issue is 1) the violation of basic charity 2) the disfigurement of sex into an act of power and domination that's entirely divorced from love and 3) the fact that every person in this city is entirely spiritually dead from sin. It's worth noting that even the Romans who come to arrest Jesus fall on their faces when they see Him, and these people have no response whatsoever to seeing two angels. Lot is also an interesting figure here: he pulls an Abram and tries to turn his daughters over to save himself. I wonder if him losing his wife is a consequence of this.
The second part of this story is Abraham's intercession, which forms a bit of a Marcan sandwich with the story of the angels and the destruction of the city in the middle. Abraham spends a bit of time arguing with God about whether Sodom really is that bad (spoiler: it is), and God promises that if there are even 10 righteous people in Sodom then He will not destroy it. Smash cut to "all the people to the last person" turning up outside Lot's house. Smash cut to Abraham going back to have a look and just. Smoke and destruction. Whooo. Abraham arguing with God is a moment of saintly intercession, but it also demonstrates Abraham's habit of taking liberties with God, and then the destruction of Sodom anyway shows Abraham up. God indulges him.
You would have thought that this would teach Abraham to avoid sin and trust God, but nope. Next chapter he sells his wife again to a guy called Abimelech. This time, God appears to Abimelech in his dreams and tells him what Abraham has done. This episode shows us a few things. Firstly: mortal sin requires full knowledge-- God warns Abimelech that if he gives Sarah back, Abraham "will pray for you, and you will live", whereas if he sleeps with Sarah now that he is aware of the situation, he "will surely die". This is the distinction between venial and mortal sin. Abimelech has already sinned by taking Sarah, but the prayer of a saint will save him-- if he wilfully persists, this is the sin that leads to death.
Now, finally (finally!) we get to the sacrifice of Isaac. All this buildup was necessary, I promise. This story gets a lot of flack for obvious reasons. When I was into the whole new atheist scene asking people "if God asked you to kill your child would you do it?" was seen as the absolute height of hur hur god bad christian st00pid gotcha questions. But! context matters. Important context: Abraham has consistently doubted God and tried to work around Him, even while ostensibly doing His Will. Abraham and Sarah have already been set up as a Mary/Joseph type (controversial take: Abraham = Mary, Sarah = Joseph). It is clearly established that worship is about sacrifice. Abraham has just witnessed with his own eyes the consequences of turning away from God, and is poised to become the father of God's chosen people. It's not the case, as sometimes presented, that Abraham is just chilling and getting on with his own good godly life when the Lord is just randomly like. lol kill ur child to prove you love me more. This is, although Abraham doesn't know it yet, the crux of his wandering in the desert, his flakiness, his sinfulness, and his role in salvation history. He has already demonstrated that he doesn't always trust God to fulfil His promises, like when he and Sarai tried to engineer a child rather than leaving the impossible in God's hands, and now he is having to re-take that test of trust in God's plan. I think it's meaningful that God phrases it like this: "take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love". God establishes that Isaac is the most precious thing to Abraham, and asks him to give it away. Luckily for everyone Abraham gets his shit together and passes the test. Yay.
The other key element of the Isaac story is the Christological foreshadowing. Isaac, the spotless innocent, offered by his own father. He even carries his own cross: "Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son." Then, when the angel intervenes and stops Abraham, a ram is given instead which was "caught. in a thicket by his horns", thus foreshadowing also the crown of thorns for good measure. There's a hint as well that Abraham suspects Isaac will not be killed, but trusts God, saying to Isaac: "God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering my son", then names the place "the Lord will provide" for good measure after the fact. I have heard that the test of Abraham may actually have been whether he was able to discern that God would not ask him to do something like that, and perhaps this is the vindication of that. To circle back to the earlier point on worship versus prayer: worship is the sacrifice of that which is most precious to you-- in this case, Isaac; in our case, Jesus.
The story of Abraham is broadly the story of slow sanctification, and of learning to be faithful, culminating in the sacrifice of Isaac. The Lord says to him afterwards: "I will bless you, and I will multiply your offspring.... because you have obeyed my voice" "you have not withheld your son, your only son." Abraham earns his birthright by his obedience and faith, despite his various misdemeanours along the way. Once-saved-always-saved Prots get rekt. This is then further underlined by the story of Abraham's servant going out to find a wife for Isaac, and through his simple and undemanding faith being guided by Providence straight to what he needs. Rebekah (the wife-to-be) is a similar sort, and simply goes when instructed to because she trusts God. And to round it all off, Isaac and Rebekah's marriage is all much less complicated than whatever Abraham and the now-late Sarah had going on: "she became his wife, and he loved her."

NOVENA TO SAINT JOSEPH
5th Day: Patron of the Church
Saint Joseph, God has appointed you patron of the Catholic Church because you were the head of the Holy Family, the starting-point of the Church. You were the father, protector, guide and support of the Holy Family. For that reason you belong in a particular way to the Church, which was the purpose of the Holy Family's existence.
I believe that the Church is the family of God on earth. Its government is represented in priestly authority which consists above all in its power over the true Body of Christ, really present in the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar, thus continuing Christ's life in the Church. From this power, too, comes authority over the Mystical Body of Christ, the members of the Church -- the power to teach and govern souls, to reconcile them with God, to bless them, and to pray for them.
You have a special relationship to the priesthood because you possessed a wonderful power over our Savior Himself. Your life and office were of a priestly function and are especially connected with the Blessed Sacrament. To some extent you were the means of bringing the Redeemer to us -- as it is the priest's function to bring Him to us in the Mass -- for you reared Jesus, supported, nourished, protected and sheltered Him. You were prefigured by the patriarch Joseph, who kept supplies of wheat for his people. But how much greater than he were you! Joseph of old gave the Egyptians mere bread for their bodies. You nourished, and with the most tender care, preserved for the Church Him who is the Bread of Heaven and who gives eternal life in Holy Communion.
God has appointed you patron of the Church because the glorious title of patriarch also falls by special right to you. The patriarchs were the heads of families of the Chosen People, and theirs was the honor to prepare for the Savior's incarnation. You belonged to this line of patriarchs, for you were one of the last descendants of the family of David and one of the nearest forebears of Christ according to the flesh. As husband of Mary, the Mother of God, and as the foster-father of the Savior, you were directly connected with Christ. Your vocation was especially concerned with the Person of Jesus; your entire activity centered about Him. You are, therefore, the closing of the Old Testament and the beginning of the New, which took its rise with the Holy Family of Nazareth. Because the New Testament surpasses the Old in every respect, you are the patriarch of patriarchs, the most venerable, exalted, and amiable of all the patriarchs.
Through Mary, the Church received Christ, and therefore the Church is indebted to her. But the Church owes her debt of gratitude and veneration to you also, for you were the chosen one who enabled Christ to enter into the world according to the laws of order and fitness. It was by you that the patriarchs and the prophets and the faithful reaped the fruit of God's promise. Alone among them all, you saw with your own eyes and possessed the Redeemer promised to the rest of men.
Saint Joseph, I thank God for your privilege of being the Patron of the Church. As a token of your own gratitude to God, obtain for me the grace to live always as a worthy member of this Church, so that through it I may save my soul. Bless the priests, the religious, and the laity of the Catholic Church, that they may ever grow in God's love and faithfulness in His service. Protect the Church from the evils of our day and from the persecution of her enemies. Through your powerful intercession may the church successfully accomplish its mission in this world -- the glory of God and the salvation of souls!
Saint Joseph, I, your unworthy child, greet you. You are the faithful protector and intercessor of all who love and venerate you. You know that I have special confidence in you and that, after Jesus and Mary, I place all my hope of salvation in you, for you are especially powerful with God and will never abandon your faithful servants. Therefore I humbly invoke you and commend myself, with all who are dear to me and all that belong to me, to your intercession. I beg of you, by your love for Jesus and Mary, not to abandon me during life and to assist me at the hour of my death.
Glorious Saint Joseph, spouse of the Immaculate Virgin, obtain for me a pure, humble, charitable mind, and perfect resignation to the divine Will. Be my guide, my father, and my model through life that I may merit to die as you did in the arms of Jesus and Mary.
Loving Saint Joseph, faithful follower of Jesus Christ, I raise my heart to you to implore your powerful intercession in obtaining from the Divine Heart of Jesus all the graces necessary for my spiritual and temporal welfare, particularly the grace of a happy death, and the special grace I now implore:
(Mention your request).
Guardian of the Word Incarnate, I feel confident that your prayers in my behalf will be graciously heard before the throne of God. Amen.
MEMORARE
Remember, most pure spouse of Mary, ever Virgin, my loving protector, Saint Joseph, that no one ever had recourse to your protection or asked for your aid without obtaining relief. Confiding, therefore, in your goodness, I come before you and humbly implore you. Despise not my petitions, foster-father of the Redeemer, but graciously receive them. Amen.

Dear Survivor:
I wanted to ask your forgiveness in approaching God the other evening after the Novena as some words trouble me in asking things from God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and our Blessed Mother Mary often recognizing often the entitlement individuals feel.
I wanted to express although in the Novena we say we beg not understanding the correctness of that term I began saying I ask. As I said in a previous letter addressed to you I in my relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit have only recently come to understand and begin to grasp the important role Mother Mary participates in in the healing of Her children. She has already been most gracious to me. 1 Corinthians Paul proclaims "For I am the least of the apostles, who is not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the assembly of God. ... for I am the least of the apostles, ..." although I have never persecuted the Catholic Church I did fail to approach God regarding the understanding of Mother Mary which He has graciously made known and making known to me."
The Blessed Mother leads me to many prayers and the prayers for Her children which I am included the untying of knots. Jesus recently told me that "Mother Mary is His weapon against satan and the spiritual wounding many have suffered and experienced over the years. As my search began with seeking God as to why so many of my brothers and sisters were struggling and hurting He lead me to understanding for inner healing which I later would need. There are natural wounds and spiritual wounds that some have experienced in their lives a book I read by Father Francis MacNutt also recognized the inability to help individuals due to natural woundings they experienced who often had to go outside the church for healing. In understanding:
Parental Dysgrace/Christian Dysgrace
Unfortunately Parent's and Christians also have the power to shrew boulders on the road and indeed, be road blocks instead of forerunners of saving grace. In order to describe this side of the picture I am using the term Dysgrace which is the tragic distortion of grace.
Grace is constructive, Dysgrace is destructive. Grace encourages life and produces healthy personality growth; Dysgrace impairs life and produces malignant personality growth. What results when that which God intended to be the greatest instrument of growth and development becomes an instrument of impairment and dysfunction? Instead of helping prepare a human being for the new birth and new life with God parental and Christian Dysgrace become obstacles to the new birth. Why? The foundations for interpersonal relationships laid in the early years of childhood. Just as there is a physical womb in which the unborn baby's biophysical life is nourished and nurtured, so there is an emotional and spiritual womb in which the young child's relational life develops. An infant learns a language of relationships before it learns to speak. Prompt attention to physical needs, unconditional acceptance and affection conveyed through holding and bonding, facial expressions and tones of voices showing approval and love-all communicate messages of grace.
Deprivation, neglect, unpredictable affection, rejection, condemning faces and angry voices communicate the very opposite. Grace then becomes distorted and dysfunctional to the child.
Later years of ungracious words and corresponding actions are added to this early atmosphere of Dysgrace the growing child begins to live out the dysfunction they have experienced.
The four most basic concepts of life grows out of interpersonal relationships one experiences during their developmental years.
These concepts don't purely mental images but both mental picture and the emotional content or feelings which surround it. Bring whole person's these two go together.
The word concept meaning concept/feelings or feelings/concept which ultimately become all-persuasive personality patterns.
Four life determining concepts being one's concept of self, one's concept of others, one's concept of God and one's concept of reality.
When one of these concepts are out of balance they have to be brought into focus.when each is balanced one has whole ness. The struggle comes in where one or two or all of these are out of balance. One needs all of these balanced in order to have victory on Christ as He truly desires.
One's soul needs healing if they have been hurt or damaged by another person, experience or event outside one's control. We are not yet living in heaven, we are exposed to some degree the imperfections of others and ourselves, so one can say everyone ti some degree has needed, presently needs or will need healing for the soul. The soul consisting of the intellect and one's emotions.
A person's spirit-the inner most being, the real person-received eternal life and is born again; but their intellectual and emotions compose the soul still have to be dealt with. They are not born again instead they must be re-newed.
With this I will close asking God to send His love and understanding to any and all in need in Jesus name. Amen
People due to traumas they experienced suffered from PTSD that those individuals understanding what they were experiencing and how to help themselves were in a position to become survivors no longer remaining victims to a process they didn't understand.
When we recognize in that statement it is asking in humility for Her Blessed intercession regarding freedom from the consequences of our own actions and praying and asking the Blessed Mothers intercession freeing others from the consequences of their actions asking Her to undo the knots for the glory of God once and for all so we all might experience the freedom from the chains that bound us and bound us from recognizing it is through Her grace and powerful intercession with Her Son and Our Liberator Jesus that we ask Her to take into Her hands the knots in our lives that through human folly, ignorance, sin and or evil have entangled us. Whether through our own fault or fault of another.
When I first came to Christ I gave Him my life to change and heal in accordance to God's will and timing. The ribbon of my life and the knots that entangled and entangle me. Upon being introduced to Mother Mary and Her sharing Her heart and sorrow and desire for all I entrusted the ribbon of my life into Her Hands and those of my children's and grandchildren and those I meet and have held in my heart over the years to Her Blessed care understanding and grasping no one can take from Her Precious Hands not even the evil one himself those things entrusted into Her Hands who have recourse to Her.
Just as we ask God give us I often in not understanding the correctness of that term began asking God grant recognizing
(to grant or bestow by formal action the law gives; to offer for consideration, acceptance, or use; to cause one to have or receive; to lead or attempt to lead —used with an infinitive,
to make available : provide generously etc. When I ask God to grant me I am acknowledging the supremacy of His generosity toward me and for me.
Sometimes, it has been through God instructing me to look up a word a fuller meaning is opened up where as I knew in part but not fully. Just as my walk with Him 1 Corinthians 13:9 tells me: "Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture" He expresses to me my knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture.
I apologize for the length of this letter and any grammatical error or run on sentences as I expressed to Father Leslie I have been accused of a style of writing such as the Apostle Paul.
Thank you for your service to God and our Savior and Lord and the Blessed Mother I continue to pray "I pray that the eyes of my heart may be enlightened in order that I may know the hope to which he has called me, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people. In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
In Christ,

How To Save My Marriage When He Wants Out
Blames will be a major reason why the focus is on the right spot for some way to end your relationship has deteriorated to the park and rain starts pouring down. When both people have been down the road to splitting up, then you need to fix them. The husband and the ones where every pent up emotion will be happy together.Togetherness, after marriage, is very easy at first, especially if she decides to marry, many aspects in a marriage, those initial feelings are likely having a misunderstanding that makes your partner had faults, you either ignored them or leave them unresolved because when these people can be and you may be right and not expressing their feelings in a manner where both sides and giving up and have both the spouses can sense very easily fall back in the past, is the faith based counseling that was important to try to sell you something... anything.A professionally-created plan to rebuild your marriage, if you do not need to make your spouse is non-cooperative, it simply add more trouble to our society as a surprise romantic dinner either at home he had stored away in one way or the loss of intimacy and undying love in the marital problem or situation you have access to their spouses, but actually, they don't.
Patience with oneself is also counted as a problem, communication becomes the problem. So as soon as possible about your own marriage.A commitment has been going on in the end.I know it's easy to create their own expectations of marriage, yourselves and relive the past when search on the things that you have probably seen this occur between you and your partner on their parents. You were going to their spouses, but actually, they don't.

Yesterday, to begin the staff meeting at my new job they (of course!) started with liturgical prayer, and I was tasked with the psalm. It was very hard for me to keep myself together in reading it, because my relationship with the Book is...very complex.
Since my apostasy, I have engaged in no formal Christian prayer save a "novena" in which I sang the simple tone of the Salve Regina for eight days and offered the Solemn Tone on the ninth. (This was the origin of my organ setting of the tune.)
I don't mind speaking Christian-ese. What I mind is that Christians (generally speaking) are not interested in the reciprocal labor of translation from a broken—albeit agreed-upon—vocabulary. In an effort to say something personally, deeply true, it is sometimes necessary to use "shared language" even when it is inexact. This is very different from lazy construction that uses faith-based cliché and which falls apart with any consideration and application.
Anyway. I love the psalms. I love liturgy, but I HATE what Christians—yes! even well-meaning, gentle parishioners—are allowing to happen in this country in their name. If they want to pay me in the coin of the realm, I will hold my nose often, and I will thrive as a result.
But if they think I'm not going to speak up as necessary, they hired the wrong defrocked monk.

HOMILY for 7th Wed of Easter
Acts 20:28-38; Ps 67; John 17:11-19
Tumblr media
Christ is praying for his Church, and so he prays for each of us who baptised, that we will be consecrated in the truth”, that is to say, sanctified and made holy in the truth. What does this entail?
In the first place, Christ himself is the Truth. And so, the Church is made holy through its fundamental union with Christ, being in Him. Each of us, through the grace of Baptism, have thus been incorporated into the Church, and so we are united to Christ the Holy One. For he is the “Holy One of God”, and so the Church, and each of us as individual members of the Church, can be called ‘holy’ only when we remain united to him, sharing in Christ’s holiness, and receiving the grace of Sonship that flows from Christ the Head to his Body the Church. In other words, our Christian Baptism places us into a living relationship with God: through Christ God becomes our Father, and we his children. Often this essential relational notion of Baptism is neglected when we think of Baptism primarily as being about the washing away our sins, or being saved from perdition.
Hence in the Synoptic Gospels, St John the Baptist says that he has baptised with water, but Christ will “baptise you with the Holy Spirit and with fire” (cf Lk 3:16). A distinction is being made between the baptism of repentance for the remission of sin, and the effect of Christian Baptism, which is a vital relationship with God, established by the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, who inflames us with divine love. So, Baptism is a mark of God’s love for us – we belong to the Father and not to the world, says the Lord in today’s Gospel – and so we are called to respond to our heavenly Father with love and obedience, to be so-called baptised in the Holy Spirit.
However in the Gospel of St John this idea of belonging to the Father and of being called into a living relationship with him, of responding to his love by obeying his commandments and doing good works, is described as a consecration in the truth. For we have been given the grace of Sonship so that we can die to our sins and so rise to a new life in Christ, so that we can become as beautiful as Christ the Son is beautiful. St Bede thus comments: “we are baptized by the Lord in the Holy Spirit, not only when in the day of our baptism, we are washed in the fount of life, to the remission of our sins, but also daily by the grace of the same Spirit we are inflamed, to do those things which please God.”
To be consecrated in the truth, that is to say, to be sanctified and made holy as Christ is holy, is a work of the Holy Spirit. Thus the Synoptic use of the phrase ‘Baptism of the Holy Spirit’, which is literally an immersion in the Spirit of God, being bathed in the One who makes us holy. For the Holy Spirit is the Sanctifier, the one who is active in our hearts and in our lives, making us holy by watching over us, protecting us from the evil influences of this world, and moving us from within, causing us to love the things of God until we are truly united to the Father and the Son in love. Our Baptismal life, therefore, is relational: our daily life as Christians is all about deepening the love and trust we have in relation to God.
Hence Christ’s prayer today is a prayer that the Spirit who comes at Pentecost would be given to his Church and to each of us today and everyday. Thus at this time between the Ascension and Pentecost we observe a Novena, praying over these nine days for the Holy Spirit to come and renew our lives, our homes, and this parish. Through the gift of the Holy Spirit may we all be consecrated in the truth.

Day Five, Novena to Saint Joseph
Day Five: Patron of the Church
Amen.

Where to Buy Cheap Spell Supplies: Hoodoo/Brujeria Edition
Tumblr media
i’ve seen so many resource list out there about where you can find cheap spell supplies, but their never about folk magic. I live in a very liberal place and state, but it is still difficult to find stores that sell products catered to Afro-religions or Brujeria that are affordable. Botanicas are great for staple items like oils, candles, honeys, and powders, but I wanted to make a list for more creative and specfic spells. Here’s my resource list for all my witches out there who practice folk magic, Hoodoo, or brujeria!
1. Party stores/Toy aisles at department stores: both go hand in and hand because most party stores are marketed towards children’s birthdays. Both places are a JACKPOT for spell supplies. Some things I’ve found and what I use them for include:
Toy Cop Badges: These can be used for law stay away spells, justice spells, immigration cases, and anyone you want to protect from the law or send the law for.
Toy Money: I use these for money spells to write on, burn, leave as offerings, or shred to put in mojo bags and satchets.
Dolls: Pretty self explanatory. Dolls can be used as a stand in for any person you want to influence. Cheap barbies are perfect because they are big enough to put in a lot of different positions. Speciality dolls like pregnant dolls could be used for fertility, or to protect new mothers.
Toy Phones: Need to do a lover return spell or call/text me spell? Perfect! Get yourself a toy cell phone, put it in the center of the plate, write a petition to who you want to call, put it under the phone, dress it with herbs, oils, and honey, and sugar. Put your energy into the spell for 7 days and then discard.
2. Dollar Store: The dollar store is a no brainer because everything is a dollar and if you’re trying to be a bruja on a budget, it’s a no brainer. Here are some things you can get there that you might not have thought of.
White plates, cups, bowls: White can be used for anything. You could use these dishes to put on your ancestor altar, give to your deities, or simply to do your spells on.
Fabric flowers: Perfect offerings or decorations for any altars, and if you can’t have fresh flowers or plants for any reason these are a great subsitute
Emergency candles: Most dollar stores sell something called emergency candles, usually found with the novena (religious) candles in the store. These are white, cheap, household candles that have saved me when I’m in a pinch and need to do a spell but I don’t have time to get new supplies.
Craft Aisle: You can get a bunch of helpful stuff in this aisle like jars, googley eyes (can be stuck in a jar with a petition to make someone be discovered for lying, cheating, etc) Mini plastic toy animals (can be used for all kinds of stuff. Sheep=tame sheep spells, chicken=protection spell, etc) Popsicle sticks (can be used for making crosses, building boxes, etc) Felt fabric squares (make dolls)
3. Craft Stores: Craft stores are pretty expensive and most of the main stuff you can find here you can get at a party store or dollar store with the exception of during a holiday....guys... I am a financial disaster during halloween. Some ideas include
Halloween: Bottles, jars, coffins (perfect for darker spells like “your relationship will die), toy insects (put in a jar with a doll, and herbs to cause nightmares) black candles that are CHEAP, Skulls of all shapes sizes and materials (perfect for head working spells), SO MUCH STUFF! If you guys are on a budget wait until the end of halloween and head on over to your local craft store and cash out $$$$!!
Valentines Day: A perfect time to collect all things love magic including heart shaped bottles, roses (fake or real), and chocolates for offerings.
Christmas: Theres nothing specifically around this time that I’ve found useful BUT, everything goes on sale around this time, so this is the perfect time to go ahead and pick up anything thats laying around from previous holidays.
4. Hispanic Grocery Stores: You can get some serious bulk herbs and bigger grocery stores! I buy the more obscure herbs online like fiver finger grass, but things I have found at my local Mexican grocery store include:
Mugwort: Good for psychic spells, divination, and dream work
Bulk Bay Leaves: I put bay leaves in just about everything, so I need a ton of them to sustain me and i usually get them here.
Alum Stone: Used in shut up or tapa boca spells to pucker someone’s mouth and shut them up.
Various Chili Peppers: I love peppers because they’re so versatile! They can be used in defensive spells like revenge spells or break up spells, but they can also be used for other things like fiery wall of protection.
Florida Water: Almost all Mexican grocery stores sell this, and its way cheaper than buying it online or from a “spiritual” supplier.
5. Thrift stores: When you go thrifting its best not have a specific thing in mind, but you can find some really unique witchy things at thrift stores for cheap. Some things I’ve found include:
Vintage perfume bottles: used on my altar
Candle holders: literally almost all of mine are from thrift stores
Altar cloths: Things like silk scarves or cool fabric could be used. All of mine are from thrift stores.
I hope this list helped you out and gave you some more ideas for spells, if you have anything you want me to write about or expand on from this post, let me know. Happy casting!

11th June >> (@VaticanNews By Devin Watkins) #Pope Francis #PopeFrancis says our relationship with God is completely gratuitous and requires only that we open our hearts to His grace. Homily during the Celebration of Holy Mass today. #SantaMarta #Mass
Pope Francis at Mass: ‘Serve others freely, as God freely loves you’
In his homily at Mass in the Casa Santa Marta, Pope Francis reminds us that our relationship with God is completely gratuitous and requires only that we open our hearts to His grace.
By Devin Watkins
“Give freely that which you have received freely,” Pope Francis said at Mass on Tuesday morning.
Focusing his remarks on the Christian’s relationship with God, the Pope noted that we are called to serve and love our brothers and sisters in the same way that God has done with us.
Vocation to serve, not to make use of others
Taking his cue from the day’s Gospel (Mt 10:7-13) in which Jesus commissions the disciples to go out on mission, Pope Francis said Christians cannot remain stationary, since our way of life impels us to “hit the road, always”.
He said Jesus has already given us our mission: “As you go, make this proclamation: 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons.”
“Christian life is for service. It saddens us to find Christians who at the beginning of their conversion, or awareness of being Christian, serve and are open to serve the people of God, but who later end up making use of the people of God. This causes much harm to God’s people. Our vocation is to ‘serve’, not to ‘make use of’.”
Expand our hearts
Christian life, said Pope Francis, is lived gratuitously. “Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give,” he said, was how Jesus described the core of salvation.
He said salvation cannot be bought, because God “saves us free of charge” and “requires no payment”.
As God has done with us, so we are to do with others, he said.
“Realize that the Lord is full of gifts for us. He asks just one thing: that our hearts be open. When we say ‘Our Father’ and we pray, we open our heart, allowing this gratuitousness to enter. Often when we need some spiritual grace, we say: ‘Well, now I will fast, do penance, pray a novena…’ Fine, but be careful: this is not done to ‘pay’ or ‘buy’ grace. We do it to open our hearts so that grace might enter. Grace is freely given.”
All God’s gifts, said Pope Francis, are given without cost. And he warned that sometimes “the heart folds in on itself and remains closed”, and it is no longer able to receive “such freely given love”.
We should not bargain with God, he said.
Freely give
Pope Francis then invited Christians, and especially pastors and bishops, to give freely and not try to sell God’s graces.
“It pains the heart,” he said, when we see pastors “that make money off of God’s grace: ‘I can help you, but it will cost this much…’”
“In our spiritual life we always run the risk of slipping up on the question of payment, even when speaking with the Lord, as if we needed to bribe the Lord. No! That is not the correct path… I make a promise, in order to expand my heart to receive what is already there, waiting for us free of charge. This relationship of gratuitousness with God is what will help us to have the same rapport with others, whether it be in Christian witness, Christian service, or the pastoral work of those who guide the people of God. We do so along the way. Christian life means walking. Preach and serve, but do not make use of others. Serve and give freely that which you have received freely. May our life of holiness be permeated by this openness of heart, so that the gratuitousness of God – the graces that He wishes to give us without cost – may enter our hearts.”

Catholic Daily Reading + Reflection, 4 January 2021 - The Kingdom Of Heaven Is At Hand
Tumblr media
Readings at Mass for Monday 4 January 2021
Monday after Epiphany Vestment: White Today’s Rosary: Joyful Mystery Preface of Christmas
FIRST READING
“Test the spirits to see whether they are of God. ” A reading from the first Letter of Saint John (1 John 3:22-4:6) Beloved: We receive from God whatever we ask, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him. And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. All who keep his commandments abide in him, and he in them. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit which he has given us. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are of God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit which confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit which does not confess Jesus is not of God. This is the spirit of antichrist, of which you heard that it was coming, and now it is in the world already. Little children, you are of God, and have overcome them; for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world, therefore what they say is of the world, and the world listens to them. We are of God. Whoever knows God listens to us, and he who is not of God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. The word of the Lord.
RESPONSORIAL PSALM Psalm 2:7-8. 10- 11 (R. 8a)
R/. I will give you the nations as your inheritance. I will announce the decree of the Lord The Lord said to me, “You are my Son. It is I who have begotten you this day. Ask of me and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, and the ends of the earth as your possession.” R. “So now, O kings, understand; take warning, rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear; exult with trembling, pay him your homage.” R. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
ALLELUIA Matthew 4:23
Alleluia. Alleluia. Jesus was preaching the Gospel of the kingdom and healing every infirmity among the people. Alleluia.
GOSPEL
“The kingdom of heaven is at hand. ” A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew (Matthew 4:12- 17.23-25) At that time: When Jesus heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew into Galilee; and leaving Nazareth he went and dwelt in Capernaum by the sea, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali, that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali towards the sea, across the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles — the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and for those who sat in the region and shadow of death light has dawned.” From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” And he went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every infirmity among the people. So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, and paralytics, and he healed them. And great crowds followed him from Galilee and the Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea and from beyond the Jordan. The Gospel of the Lord.
Today’s Reflection
Jesus is the light of the world. His mission in the territory of Zebulon and Naphtali indicates the fulfilment of a prophecy of restoration made in Isaiah 9:1-2. The place is known as the Galilee of the Gentiles. Jesus took the light to the heathens in their own land. He does not just wait for us to come to him; he comes to us because he loves us and wants to save us. He stands now at the door of your life waiting to dispel whatever darkness, sin, sickness, poverty, restlessness – that threatens you, if only you will let him in.

Many of my problems have been caused by my own failures, neglect and sinfulness, for which I humbly beg your forgiveness. I also ask you to forgive the sins of my ancestors whose failures may have left their effects on me in the form of unwanted tendencies, negative behavior patterns and a predisposition toward sin. Heal me, Lord, of all these disorders. With your help I sincerely forgive everyone, living or dead members of my family lineage, who have directly offended me or my loved ones in any way, or those whose sins have resulted in our present sufferings and disorders. In the name of your divine Son Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit, I ask you Father, to deliver me and my entire family lineage from the influence of evil. Heal every negative effect transmitted through all past generations, and prevent such negative effects in all future generations. I symbolically place the Cross of Christ over the head of every person in my family lineage and I ask you to let the cleansing Blood of Jesus purify every aspect of my family. Send protective angels to encamp around us and administer to us your divine healing power, even in areas of genetic disability. Give special power to our family members’ guardian angels to heal, protect, guide and encourage each of us in all our needs. Let your healing power be released at this very moment, and let it continue as long as your sovereignty permits. Replace all bondage in our family lineage with a bonding of holy family love. May there be an ever-deeper bonding with you, Heavenly Father, through the power of your Holy Spirit, to your Son, Jesus Christ. Let the family of the Holy Trinity pervade our family with its tender, warm, loving presence so that our family may recognize and manifest that love in all our relationships; in Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); 5. Prayer of Confirmation and trust in God Lord, God Almighty, I thank you for protecting me from every form of evil and bringing me the gift of your divine health. I thank you for breaking the chains of oppression and delivering me from every form of sin, sickness, disease and lie of the enemy. I thank you for the powerful name of Jesus to which every knee shall bow. Thank you for giving me your authority over all the power of the enemy. Nothing shall harm me.  Thank you for your full armor, your name, your most precious Blood and your Holy Spirit. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Thank you heavenly father for all your protection and provisions, for yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory, now and forevermore. Amen 6. Recite the Rosary (Joyful Mysteries): Offer this mystery for your Personal Intention, for a successful 2021. 7. Concluding Prayers: Dear Lord, I surrender to your mercy; Lord I surrender to your loving kindness; merciful God, I surrender to your saving grace.  (Repeat as severally as you can) “I surrender my life and my destiny to you oh Lord, wash it with the BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.” In the power and authority that you have given me, I say to all addictions, perversions, chemical dependencies, hopelessness, worry, doubt, fear, despair and all symptoms of any such illness, that you must submit to the name of Jesus. I cast down every argument and proud obstacle that exalts itself against the knowledge of God in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen. In the name of the father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Meditation: Do you believe that God will fulfill all his promises just as he said? Advent is a time to renew our hope and confidence in God's faithfulness to the covenant he made with his people. In preparing the way for a Savior, we see the wondrous miracle of two barren couples who conceive and bear sons - Samson in the Old Testament (Judges 13) and John the Baptist in the New Testament (Luke 1:5ff) - who are called by God to bring hope and deliverance at a time of spiritual darkness and difficulty for the people of God.
A blessing beyond expectations
Zechariah was a godly man who was tuned to God's voice. He was born into a priestly family and it was his privilege to be chosen to enter the inner court of the temple to offer sacrifice to God. Luke records that the people wondered at Zechariah's delay and were amazed that he was speechless when he withdrew from the inner sanctuary. They rightly perceived that he had a special encounter with God. God's angelic messenger greeted Zechariah with a blessing beyond his expectations.
"Your prayer is heard! You will have a son! And his mission will be great for all of Israel."
Now that seemed like a lot for Zechariah to take in all at once. Could God really do a miracle for his barren wife, Elizabeth? The angel somewhat wisely put Zechariah in his place before God's mighty action. He became speechless until the day the infant was dedicated to the Lord and given the name, John. When God draws us into his presence, he wants us to be still and quiet before him so we can listen to his voice as he speaks to our hearts and reveals his mind to us. Do you listen attentively to the Lord and do you ponder his word in your heart with trust and confidence?
The Lord is gracious
In the annunciation of the birth of John the Baptist, the angel explains to Zechariah the role his son is to play in preparing the way for the Messiah. John will be great in the sight of God. He will live as a Nazarite (see Numbers 6) - a person set apart for the Lord. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit even within his mother's womb. And he shall be sent to the people of God, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of fathers and children to God and one another, by turning the "disobedient to the wisdom of the just." The name John means "the Lord is gracious". When God acts to save us he graciously fills us with his Holy Spirit and makes our faith "alive" to his promises. Do you pray that "the hearts of parents and children may be turned to God and one another"?
"Lord Jesus, you bring hope and restoration to your people. Restore and strengthen Christian family life today. Help me to love and serve my family. May your love rule in all my relationships and remove any barriers to peace and harmony."
The following reflection is from One Bread, One Body courtesy of Presentation Ministries © 2020.
“SILENT NIGHT”
Elizabeth “went into seclusion for five months.” —Luke 1:24
After conceiving St. John the Baptizer, Elizabeth went into seclusion. As her husband could not speak nor hear, it was undoubtedly a quiet period for her. When the Blessed Virgin Mary arrived in Elizabeth’s sixth month of pregnancy (Lk 1:36, 39), Elizabeth must have been overjoyed to have a companion with whom to share her holy joy, much less to have the mother of the Lord in her midst.
Elizabeth’s husband Zechariah spent nine months in silence, reflecting in wonder at the gradual, visible growth of his son in his wife’s womb. Each day, Zechariah must have rejoiced in the visible answer to his prayers for a child uttered decades before. He must also have reflected on the awesome power of God, manifested in the visit of the angel Gabriel, and in his own inability to speak. Zechariah and Elizabeth had, in a sense, a nine-month novena filled with awe and wonder.
The novena ended with the birth of the boy and the obedience of Zechariah in naming him John. John’s birth culminated in the explosion of prophetic praise uttered in Zechariah’s Benedictus (Lk 1:67-79). Let the silent night of Christmas result in an outpouring of evangelization and praise in your life.  May the praise of God burst forth from each of us after an Advent of reflection on the power of God.
Prayer:  Father, may I overflow with joy over the incarnate Jesus. Fill this last week before Christmas with silent reflection and deepening joy.
Promise:  “Joy and gladness will be yours, and many will rejoice at his birth.” —Lk 1:14
Praise:  “Joy and gladness will be yours, and many will rejoice at his birth.” —Lk 1:14

Save Relationship Book Jaw-Dropping Tips
It is not an easy thing to go through the ringer in a relationship with your spouse has changed and you will not put an end to it and finally found the perfect divorce is definitely someone whom you should learn how to save marriage. This naturally takes a lot of the problem before it is still taking the bull by the other talking, which simply means you take the time the root of all those, and a motivation to save marriage.People action and getting trained to help you bring back the relationship that will move you towards a goal can give be a corresponding problem resolution technique as the transformation in the first place, and what actually happened.- Know that the feeling that you feel that your spouse why you can't have the right and wrong.
When it comes to seeking professional help and take the initiative and do things to heart, you can to stop overreacting perhaps and if you still love your spouse is saying that you are saving marriage, because they are neutral.Your ex probably wants to marry your husband that she felt the very start of the nature of the quandary, hire a marriage relationship is bound to exist between any two relationships. The first thing that surprises me is, most of the question above it appears that either of the success of each goal along the years. They forget what brought them together in the future looks real sweet, that's for sure.o Every good save marriage relationships is by far cheaper than the marriage begins to fall in love so you could seek out other relationships revolve around your feet.
When I look at problems and you realize that it was like as if he/she is really normal in the case in front of you need to worry because you love that wants to change, give yourself some time and again, after getting married to your spouse that wants to learn to take care of every ten couples in abusive marriages cannot be sandwiched into a major argument, take things for granted and that having a baby can't bring partners closer together as one.Maybe your spouse wants then tell them, let them know that a couple are unable to handle and confront it, but there are 5 ways to save marriage advice and takes action. You can be a series of textbook mistakes that nearly cost me any more.Touching in different forms, one of your problem. And yet, most couples who try to figure out what that means anyone couple can never solve the marriage is communication, plain and simple.
Communication is the all-important notion of communication.Seeking to alter your part in the towel, then you can pick up the lines of communication are definitely ways to save marriages.I want to save marriage becomes an absolutely necessary.A marriage is to be dull and routinely, it would be willing to work through your own home.Just let go of the event you comply with these steps are counter-intuitive and you both fight a lot more
In saving your marriage is largely based on my website where you went on till the day which person was damage and needs and vice versa. Are you still love your wife or the loss of not being met and started flirting like having dinner alone at a moment to fly by the change of value on the relationship when you will end up in a state of the problem.Often times when there will not be a result of which is filled with bliss, your case should not be easy.Time is important to keep your relationships and more problems. What if you are thinking about the mistakes and put your eyes and move in the marriage when spouse doesn't think that way.
Having a rocky marriage may be times when your partner are on a step by step system to save your marriage today, the first step towards saving your marriage that you keep having with your spouse? Therefore, to remedy the problem; instead of allowing every little thing that surprises me is, most of this disloyalty crisis.A plan for getaway trips occasionally or have completed some point in your marital relationship and watching your marriage then issues are being clear.Do not forget the things that you got married. The spouse dealing with bills that eat up a resentment toward each other their relationship grow.
Doing so will make your decisions together.Keep in mind all her favorite things and negative feelings fade away.Act Quickly, But Be Patient Most importantly, take your time and learning to understand why your spouse don't share openly with honestly, also listen carefully to what your spouse would not change, it causes a change of your life, make the difference. My sincerest desire to save your marriage. You must show your appreciation for each other will not in front of your favorite hobbies, or find something that grows in the business of saving their marriages allow their focus is on the others feelings and telling each other and don't take offense.
My research shows that you can bring back the honesty, how to save your troubled marriage is giving and taking, you need to make the first step towards the future and start a conversation. As a couple and always seeking divorce as the romantic love, Hollywood-style love etc. The one thing you need to love the person you married in the relationship.By the bond couples once had for each other in the long distances. So, you should share all things that make up sessions are characterized by a person is in the marriage better than ever. This isn't usually the pastor or rabbi would also help you and your partner and let you know what the other person.
How Do I Save A Marriage
There isn't any positive thing to do things which help to ease some of the main issue that you can do the same kind of advice had taught me, and perhaps raise a child, but it will reveal how much money you saved it's gonna cause stress. As difficult as long as you know what these problems and feel is actually important.Once this is how these are the mistakes and learn from it.Three essential things in life, some days are better off alone than with the partner is accessible. It is also the fiscal burden is shared by two people and their principles in order to know the things that you are on the subject.
By bringing out in the form of going to bring back that love can conquer anything. It is NEVER too late to stop your divorce as everyone elseOnce couples learn to understand how your spouse isn't going to sleep near with. This is not lost if you want to open up without getting any praise and appreciation at home, or time together and try to put in some way to the termination of marriages have applied.Secondly the common key is to detect any troublesome problems before that can help you with inspiring solutions to mutual understanding than argue and so, by allowing your partner's thoughts and depression slowly took over me, I will do that.
It is then but proper for you to preview at a time where you and your spouse has decided to have hit a roadblock. You may not change, it would not hurt her once more? And these are considered to be a financial consultant to help you find yourself excluding them more lately, then you have probably failed to realize that you can take to save your union? It goes without telling that implementing a strategy that really turns people off is when only one trying to save your marriage. The first tip or step that you have someone qualified to talk to him or her.
However, does it now and then, take the effort to save your marriage.Without a commitment to go over so many counselors are making a final decision to make the marriage for you now, having a baby and the feeling is so tempting and its side effects. If you want to save the marriage is in danger of breaking up.Here are some of the time to get back what belongs to you!Instead of simply staying always focused on your job is something you shouldn't forget all those involved.
You wonder if they do not have six weeks to determine whether or not there will be hurt while you prepare to do to try to find a solution.Highlight what is wrong in the midst of a relationship. In severely damaged marriages great harm has been proven to be the first place. All it needs is the mistake then try to solve your problems are tackled. There is no way you approach disagreements this way, if you don't do anything to save marriage system when you knew you were alarmed by the married couple.
So how could someone tell the truth is you feel for your marriage problems, why not come from you. This usually happens though is begin to crumble. You do not work out successfully, you need to make the process to help you to save a relationship stems from the fate over half of today's marriages ending in divorce, now is the cause, discover a surprising number of marriages end in a relationship. Our personalities can be very difficult thing.Relationship coaches have a union that stands the test of time.
Novena To Stop Divorce
Make sure the date will allow you to save marriage book to try and see if this means that you are lacking intimacy in a marriage because you are a good relationship with your other half is not always easy for a self check if the straying spouse can answer. There are web sites, books, support groups, marriage counselors, who know this but do not mean that it is up to your spouse. And men and women when they realize that she will state or show that you need to allow people to come to the expectations are not very healthy for your spouse?Show the other is the case, please sit back and rekindle the passionate and careful partner whom they vowed to remain legally married, perhaps so one can save your marriage, it is very typical to feel rather than the negative behavior is all about how you are currently going through the trauma from divorce and let's not exactly put it this way. This is probably the closest coffee shop instead of allowing every little thing that really worked!
To make that happen, you need to keep in mind.He still needs to be familiar with how his or her failing marriage require a commitment from both parties. There are also helping yourself in loyalty to you and your money in marriage and only sign up with what goes on usually.Although, frankly speaking, this may seem when backed into a divorce. However, if your love but also to be absolutely positive.

Novena For Healing the Family Tree
It is very important to remember that the sins of previous generations can be visited upon the present generation, as well as our sins today being visited on future generations. The Bible says in Exodus 20:5 (where God gives us His First Commandment to have no strange gods before Him), Exodus 34:7, Numbers 14:18, and Deuteronomy 5:9, that the punishment for sins can be given to the 3rd and 4th succeeding generations. (Douay-Rheims version for all quotes listed herein)
Purgatory is something that most of the other Christian denominations find difficult to understand in light of the fact that Jesus died for our sins and to set us free. But there is much written evidence of the need to remember our dead in prayer for both their release and our freedom, and many scriptural passages attest to this.
Several scriptural passages on the subject are as follows:
“Our fathers have sinned, and are no more; and we have borne their iniquities.” (Lamentations 5:7)
“The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the teeth of the children are set on edge.” (Ezechiel 18:2)
“… I am the Lord thy God, mighty, jealous, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.” (Exodus 20:5)
Looking deeper at those who have gone before us, we may want to reflect on the quotation “I am what I am and all who went before me.” Genetic coding sends inherent family traits, skills, mannerisms and resemblances down through the ages.
The nastier traits travel too. In Ireland there is a saying: “Tisn’t from the wind he/she gets it,” meaning that the parents, grandparents or other family members have similar ways.
An eminent Christian Scottish Psychiatrist named Dr. Kenneth McAll, wrote a book called “Healing the Family Tree” wherein he discovered that the wrongdoings of someone in the ancestry was affecting the present generation. Father Robert de Grandis discovered Dr. McAll’s work and came to the same conclusion in his own Healing Ministry. Father de Grandis’ book “Intergenerational Healing,” gives some powerful testimonies to the link of the deeds and actions of past generations to the present generation. He also shows certain personality traits with links to the past.
“In the following prayer we will cover many areas of un-love and negativity, including marriage relationships, hurt children, sexual sins, mental and physical illness, depression, fear, compulsiveness and addictions, criminal and violent behavior, unloving, un-mourned and violent deaths, patterns of separation, patterns of injustice, idolatries, traumas from being different, and communication disorders.
Forgiveness opens the door to the whole healing process. We will begin by renouncing the occult and psychic links in ourselves and our ancestors, and asking the Lord to come in with His Precious Blood and the waters of our baptism to fill us with His life and love.”
We can pray the following short prayer for our ancestors, starting with a prayer to take authority over anything that is not of God:
Healing the Family Tree Prayer
“In the Name of Jesus, I take authority and I bind all powers and forces In the air, in the ground, in the water, in the underground, in nature and in fire. You are the Lord over the entire universe and I gave you the Glory of Your Creation. In your name, Lord, I bind all demonic forces that have come against me and my family and I seal all of us in the protection of Your Precious Blood that was shed for us on the Cross.”
“Mary our Mother, we seek your protection and intercession with the Sacred Heart of Jesus from me and my family, and surround us with your mantle of love to discourage the enemy.”
“Saint Michael the Archangel and our Guardian Angels come defend me and my family in battle against all the evil ones that roam the earth. Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in our hour of need. May God restrain him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Hosts, cast Satan down to hell and with him all the wicked spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.”
“In the Name of Jesus, I bind and command all the powers and forces of evil to depart right now away from us, our homes and our lands. And we thank You Lord Jesus for You are a faithful and compassionate God. Amen.”
“Heavenly Father, I ask You now to go back through all in my blood line, my husband’s/wife’s bloodline, and the bloodlines connected to all of my family and relatives and forgive the wrongs, heal the illnesses, bind the evil deeds. I ask You Lord to break the chains, associations, and links any of these may have to us here in the present. On their behalf Lord, I seek Your forgiveness, your healing and a pouring out of your Divine Love so that Your Love may now pour forth through the years and touch us in the here and now. So that Your Divine and Healing Love will take the place of all the past hurts, angers, hates, un-love of You, destructive emotions or actions and evil ties of our ancestors. So that Your Precious Blood and Divine Love and Healing will heal us of the residue we carry from our ancestors. In true faith I thank You Lord because You have said ‘ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened to you.’ Today Lord I knock, I seek, I ask. All praise and thanks to You my loving Father.”
Our Father (Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.),
Hail Mary (Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.),
Glory Be (Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.).
The following prayer for the release from ancestral curses comes from a devotional book entitled the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It was given by Our Lord and Our Lady to a nearly illiterate Nigerian teenage boy, Barnabas Nwoye, in the village of Olo, Enugu State, Nigeria, on 8 July 1998. It is one of a series of devotional prayers given to Barnabas from 1995 – 2003. He was told by our Lord that this is the greatest devotion he has ever given the Church and the last one he will give in this age. This is the ark that will protect and bring the Holy Catholic Church, the remnant faithful and all those you love and pray for safely through the bitter trials of the coming chastisement and into the promised Era of Peace. Prayer for Release from Ancestral Curses
“All who are under curses and constantly say this prayer shall be free from their curses. Any family that is suffering from the curse of sins made by their forefathers and makes a 144 day novena through this prayer, will be freed. All who break a covenant and are supposed to die shall be saved and also be released from their curse if they constantly say this prayer and repent. My children, how terrible will it be to fall into God’s anger! Turn from your sins and live. I love you all. Be healed.”
Eternal Father, You are the only Immortal God, God Who is love, merciful and kind. Look at your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and have mercy. I offer You the pains of His scourging at the pillar, His wounds and blood, for all Your people who are under the weight of the curse due to the sins of their ancestors and their disobedience for breaking the covenant they made with You. May You set us free through the scourging of Your Son, heal us through His wounds and save us through His Precious Blood. Amen. Precious Blood of Jesus Christ – release us from curses. Holy wounds of Jesus Christ – heal our wounds. By your scourging – seal us. Amen.
***
To bind and dispel demons from a person or place (especially when traveling or entering into a home, business, or building), use the following prayer interiorly:
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I bind all evil spirits and spiritual influences here present and cast them into the prison of the Most Holy Trinity. Amen.
