after celina's "it's 2022" comment in 5.10, i think most of us had a bit of whiplash for "what is the timeline of this show again??"
because i love a good powerpoint timeline and show timeline inconsistencies drive me batty (i've spent way to much time trying to figure out what the grey's anatomy timeline was), i mapped out a timeline based on confirmed dates and time jumps we have in the show.
lucy's DOD is honestly the anchor of it all lol
and surprisingly, the inconsistency in it being 2022 isn't too far off!
Tumblr media
i added some dots to note a few notable events:
1.01 "Pilot" [~ Mar 2019] - Lucy, Jackson, and John's first day as rookies / field training in the FTO program, this will be 13 months in length
1.20 "Free Fall" / 2.01 "Impact" [~ Sep 2019] - Lucy, Jackson, and John's FTO 6 month exam
2.11 "Day of Death" [09Dec2019] - Lucy is abducted by Caleb
2.20 "The Hunt" / 3.01 "Consequences" [~ Mar 2020] - Lucy, Jackson, Nolan begin their "one month push"; Nolan is set up by Armstrong and his time as a rookie is extended by one month; Angela's pregnancy is revealed & she is promoted to Detective I
3.09 "Amber" [~ Apr 2020] - Lucy and Jackson complete their time as rookies and are promoted to P2s
3.14 "Threshold" / 4.01 "Life and Death" [~ May 2020] - Angela and Jackson are kidnapped by La Fiera; Jackson is killed; John becomes a P2
4.02 "Five Minutes" [~ Aug 2020] - 3 months since the events of 4.01, Jackson "Jack" Evers-Lopez is born (at apparently 5-6 months gestation based on the actual timeline but assumed 8-9 months lol)
4.05 "A.C.H." [31Oct2020] - Confirmed to be Halloween
4.11 "End Game" [~ 12Dec2020] - Nyla finds out she is 6 weeks pregnant
4.21 "Mother's Day" [May 2021] - Confirmed to be Angela's first Mother's Day
5.01 "Double Down" [ ~ Jun 2021] - Tim and Lucy go undercover, based on what is said in the episode its probably a week or two between 4.22 and when Hajek calls them
5.02 "Labor Day" [~ Jun / Jul 2021] - Nyla gives birth, again guessing a few weeks have passed since 5.01 since Chris is at home recovering from Rosalind's attack
5.03 "Dye Hard" [~ Aug / Sep 2021] - Lucy returns from her 5 weeks away at UC school
5.06 "The Reckoning" [31Oct2021] - Confirmed to be Halloween
5.10 "The List" [~ 2022] - Celina claims that its 2022 in her conversation with John, Leah Harper-Murray is confirmed to be 5 months old by Nyla so if she was born in ~ June / July, it's feasible that we're in Jan 2022

Over the last 10 months, the world’s attention has been focused on Israel and the Gaza Strip. The war that began on Oct. 7, 2023, with Hamas’s attack on Israel has been cataclysmic. But the conflict has overshadowed another crisis enveloping the region: intense heat and water scarcity.
In mid-July, the heat index in Dubai was 144 degrees Fahrenheit. In late June, the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, registered a temperature of 125 degrees. This heat coincided with Hajj season. When it was over, more than 1,300 people had lost their lives. And in Egypt, temperatures have rarely fallen below 100 degrees since May.
It was actually hotter in the Gulf region last summer, topping out at an eye-popping real feel of 158 degrees in the coastal areas of Iran and the United Arab Emirates. That reading and the unrelenting heat this season exceeded the “wet-bulb temperature” at which humans, if exposed for six hours, can no longer cool themselves off, leading to heat-related illnesses and death.
The World Bank estimates that by 2050, water scarcity will result in GDP reductions of up to 14 percent in the region. In 2021, a UNICEF report stated that Egypt could run out of water by 2025, with the Nile River coming under particular stress. Water stress in countries such as Egypt is exacerbated by the upriver flow of the Nile being restricted because of the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. Syria and Turkey have been at odds over many years because the Turks have built dams along the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, cutting the flow south. And among the many issue that divide Israelis and Palestinians is water and who has the right to tap into the Mountain Aquifer of the West Bank.
In addition to the extreme heat’s significant threat to life and livelihood in the Middle East and North Africa, a hotter region has the potential to destabilize politics well beyond its borders.
Before going further, it is important to underscore that this is not a column about “climate conflict.” About a decade ago, there was a spate of articles on this issue, highlighting the Syrian Civil War as an example of what the future would look like as the globe warmed. Even though this idea captured the imagination of a variety of notables including then-Prince Charles, U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, and others, the claim about Syria in particular was based on incomplete data, faulty interpretation of that data, over-generalization, and, as a result, erroneous conclusions.
As the October 2021 National Intelligence Estimate on climate change dryly noted, the U.S. intelligence community had “low to moderate confidence in how physical climate impacts will affect US national security interests and the nature of geopolitical conflict, given the complex dimensions of human and state decisionmaking.” Basically, the spies are saying it is hard to make a causal connection between climate and conflict because there are so many variables that contribute to conflict.
A clearer and more pressing problem is how people adapt to rising temperatures and water scarcity. They migrate to places with lower temperatures and more water. According to the World Bank, as many as 19 million people—approximately 9 percent of the local population—will become displaced in North Africa by 2050 because of the climate crisis. And for people in the region, the destination of choice is Europe.
A number of caveats are in order: First, the bank is extrapolating. It is possible that there may be political, economic, or technological changes that limit the number of migrants. Second, not every person on the move will be migrating because of the changing climate. And finally, some of those displaced people will remain somewhere in the region given the resources necessary to make it across the Mediterranean. (That presents its own set of problems, however. Internally displaced people, who generally settle in urban areas, will put pressure on the budgets and infrastructure of places whose resources and capacity to absorb migrants are limited.)
All this said, in the abstract migration is positive for countries in the European Union, which have aging populations and need workers to pay into generous social safety nets. Yet the claim that migration provides benefits to society remains unconvincing to a significant number of Europeans who oppose large (or perceptively large) numbers of newcomers into their countries.
France’s National Front party, which long flirted with fascism and a coy version of Holocaust denial and rebranded itself as the National Rally in 2018 in an effort to shed this ugly legacy, has become a major force in French politics in large part due to its opposition to immigration, especially from Islamic countries. Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban, the avatar of European illiberalism, built his authoritarian system on fears of the threat that migrants pose to Hungarian society.
Brexit, which British voters approved in 2016, was about a lot of things, but immigration propelled the United Kingdom’s imprudent decision to leave the European Union. More recently, the proximate cause of the recent riots in England was the allegation that an immigrant was responsible for the murder of three young girls at a dance class in the seaside town of Southport. Despite the allegation being demonstrably false, the ensuing street violence suggests that simmering resentment toward migrants within a segment of the marginalized English working class stoked by, and combined with, right-wing populism is dangerous and potentially destabilizing.
Then there is Germany, where in 2015 hundreds of thousands of Syrians sought refuge from the violence enveloping their country. Then-German Chancellor Angela Merkel made the decision to grant Syrians entry. It was a decision that many Germans embraced, but it also produced a backlash that has helped drive the emergence of the Alternative for Deutschland (AfD) party. The AfD is different from other right-wing populist parties in Europe given its provenance. Although it began as a party based on Euro-skepticism, it has moved steadily toward embracing fascism, downplaying the atrocities of the Third Reich, spreading Islamophobia, and inveighing against foreigners in general. Of course, there is a whole host of reasons for the rise of the AfD and other fascist, illiberal, right-wing populist parties in Europe. But scholars agree that migration is the through line in this phenomenon.
The Unites States has a compelling interest in a Europe that is stable, whole, free, and prosperous. The emergence and success of xenophobic, fascist, or fascist-adjacent parties that make common cause with the enemies of Western liberalism are a threat to that core U.S. interest. That’s why Washington needs to help head off mass migration to Europe. There is not a lot that the United States can do about conflicts—such as the one in Sudan—that drive migration, but U.S. policymakers can help when it comes to the climate crisis, which will contribute to the increasing numbers of people seeking refuge in Europe.
This requires not increasing financial assistance or green infrastructure projects but something both more cost-effective and influential: creative diplomacy. High heat makes the problem of water scarcity worse, which is why people migrate. Using its own experience and technical expertise from managing resources in the increasingly hot western United States, the U.S government can play a useful role in helping countries in the Middle East do a better job managing what water they have.
The conflicts that span the region make assistance harder, given the fact that water sources often cross boundaries. But that is a challenge that can be overcome. Not only are there technical solutions to the problem of water scarcity, but there are also political incentives to come to agreement even across conflict zones.
Leaders across the region may disdain their citizens, but they have a political interest in satisfying at least their people’s minimum demands, including access to water. Even with all the nationalist huffing and puffing of their governments, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed have a strong interest in sharing the waters of the Nile. Without such an agreement, the political and economic problems of both countries will deepen, threatening both leaders.
Of all things, the maritime border agreement between Israel and Lebanon can be a template of sorts for the way U.S. officials approach the problem of water sharing in the region. There was a range of critics of the agreement in the United States, Israel, and Lebanon, but the actual substance is less important than the way U.S. diplomats brought it about. They separated Israeli concerns about Lebanon and Lebanese concerns about Israel and focused instead on the upside for each country. Once that became clear—the exploitation of gas deposits off the Israeli and Lebanese coasts—it was hard for the two countries that nonetheless remain in a state of war to not agree to a boundary. Despite 10 months of conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, the agreement has not been breached. That is important and suggests a way forward for negotiations over water.
It is tempting to want to place efforts to deal with water scarcity in some broader climate agenda for the Middle East. That is exactly what U.S. officials should not do. Washington should focus on issues where it has a realistic chance of making a difference. There is little the United States can do about the intense heat, and mitigation of greenhouse gases is not a pressing problem in the region because it does not actually emit that much greenhouse gas. Water, however, is critically important, and it is an area where the United States has expertise to bring to bear.
Indeed, helping strike agreements to manage water scarcity in the Middle East is a low-cost way the United States can mitigate the perversions of European politics and help shape the global order to come.

Happy Birthday Scottish actress Rose Leslie, born on February 9th 1987 in Aberdeen.
Leslie was born Rose Eleanor Arbuthnot-Leslie in Aberdeen, near Lickleyhead Castle, where her family has lived for more than 500 years. Leslie’s father is the Aberdeenshire Chieftain of Clan Leslie. She went to the local primary school in Rayne, before going to Millfield, a co-ed public school in England. It was at Millfield that Rose really cultivated her love for acting, as the school had an excellent drama department.
After five years at Millfield, Rose went on to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) to earn a bachelor’s degree with honours in 2008.Rose’s first acting job was in a television documentary series, called Banged Up Abroad in 2007, she then appeared in the BBC film, New Town, in which she received a Scottish BAFTA Award for Best Acting Performance - New Talent Award. In 2010. Downton Abbey fans might remember Rose in the TV Series, as Gwen Dawson, for 7 episodes. Later that year, she appeared in the play, Bedlam, at the Globe Theatre in London. In 2011. She was back in Edinburgh in Edinburgh the same year in the fab BBC series, Case Histories , as Laura Wyre for 2 episodes. In 2012, Rose played Lena Holgate in the episode, Vera: The Ghost Position, in the detective television series, Vera
In 2012 Rose would make her iconic appearance in the 2nd season of the HBO epic fantasy series, Game of Thrones, opposite Kit Harington as the wildling Ygritte in 17 episodes. 2015 saw Rose featured in two episodes of the excellent Luther, with Idris Elba. Miss Leslie also starred in American legal and political drama The Good Fight, which finished it’s run in 2019.
2021 saw Rose in the BBC drama Vigil, she then took the lead role in TV series The Time Travellers Wife , an adaptation of Audrey Niffenegger’s novel, unfortunately it received negative reviews and wasn't renewed for a second series, she also appeared in the latest remake of Death on the Nile. Rose was back on our screens lately in the second helping of the BBC drama Vigil, playing Detective Kirsten Longacr
Rose can trace her heritage back to King Charles II, another notable bloodline takes her back to Frasers of Lovatt.
Rose married her GOT co-star Kit Harington at Kirkton of Rayne church in Aberdeenshire in June 2018, her hubby also has the same royal lineage going back to Charles II, not surprising given the Stuart line’s propensity in spreading their seed!

AITA for calling out people for taking an exceedingly transphobic commentary personality's word as fact?
Alright, so. This happened in December in a community that has technically sprung up in 2007 despite the thing existing since January 2004. I was in the community since 2014 and one of the oldest remaining fans in the community. I was an asshole and very much disliked from 2018-2021, did some betterment, went to therapy, and asked different people who are very, very well known in the fandom if I was getting better, to which they said yes, from late 2022 to 2023 so this was in the middle of my Redemption Arc™️. I joined a discord in order to hope to find some obscure knowledge on the software i couldn't ask much of anywhere else in December 2022, after I was getting stalked and harassed by notable transphobic websites over being open about my depression in June 2022. One notable user of said sites made a YouTube video on me, who is openly transphobic, and as a trans guy, that was upsetting. Moreso upsetting, is that not only did the video get countless fundamental facts incorrect that were disproven in other videos, but her Twitter URL that's a play on the transphobic phrase "TTD" (total trans death, an obvious nod to our genocide) and said server used me for my art, then booted me, blocked me on Discord, and when I asked why I was banned from the server on Reddit, they spammed the video link and was insulting me and calling me "unforgivable." Keep in mind, that Discord server had a strict "no transphobes allowed" rule and several of the mods, albeit not all, were openly LGBT. A red flag off the bat of said server was that they had some stolen content, albeit said content was by a known predator. Another red flag was how many mods were under 18, side by side with mods in their late 20s. I called out these people for supporting an open TERF from a transphobic website shut down by cloudflare, and they started making fun of me and threatening to ruin me. I don't care if people hate me, but I do care that people get their facts right. Sort of off topic but they ended up being horrifically transphobic and go on misinformation campaigns to several other people, and the server died.
Was I the asshole for calling them out on spreading misinformation?
What are these acronyms?

From “USPS is Falsifying Safety Docs As Its Workers Die Of Heat” by McHam Investigative Reporting Fellow Josephine Lee, in the Texas Observer:
USPS MAIL CARRIER HEAT-RELATED FATALITIES 2012-2023 (SOURCE: OSHA)
July 24, 2012, Independence, MO: John Watzlawick died delivering mail when the temperature hit 102 degrees.
July 6, 2013, Medford, MA: James Baldassarre died from a heat stroke. The temperature was 94 degrees; the heat index was 117.
July 11, 2017, Charleston, WV: Ronnie Bowles died after experiencing heart problems induced by heat stress. The heat index was 88.
July 6, 2018, Woodland Hills, CA: Peggy Frank died in a non-air-conditioned mail truck. The temperature hit a record-setting high of 115.
July 22, 2020, Washington, D.C.: A mail carrier died in a non-air-conditioned vehicle. The high temperature was 94 degrees, and the heat index was 104.
June 17, 2021, San Jose, CA: Dalvir Bassi died from a heat stroke. The temperature was 94 degrees.
June 20, 2023, Dallas, TX: Eugene Gates died when the temperature hit 98 degrees with a heat index of 116.
After Watzlawick’s death, USPS agreed to a limited heat-illness prevention program that would only include Independence, Missouri. The program wasn’t instituted nationally until May 2018. By then, 62 more USPS carriers around the country had been hospitalized for severe heat-related illnesses, according to the Observer’s analysis of OSHA records. At least two others had died.
In the summer of 2020, mail carriers were dealt a blow after USPS won an administrative law judge decision that overturned an OSHA penalty of $511,000 for five heat-related injuries. Without a specific OSHA standard for heat safety, judges decided that the mail carriers’ unprotected exposure to extreme heat did not qualify as a “hazard likely to cause death or serious physical harm” under OSHA’s general duty clause, which requires employers to provide general protections for a safe workplace.
But, according to OSHA records, from 2015 to 2022, heat-related injuries accounted for 173 of 1,200 severe injuries—16 percent—among USPS carriers that required hospitalization. This does not include the heat illnesses experienced by mail carriers during the extreme heat this summer. According to the data, Texas mail carriers experienced the most hospitalizations from work-related heat illnesses. The state had 28 recorded incidents, compared to 10 in Nevada, which came second.
Notably, even though USPS is not the largest employer in the United States.—it employs roughly half the workers at Walmart, Amazon, or McDonald's—its workers reported the highest number of severe workplace injuries overall, 1,200 over that same time period.

ask list
anon this is like pandora's box of questions. i still have like 5 essays i want and need to write about. like. here i'll put some mini analyses under the cut.
parkour, what it says about how the color gang handles problems, and also how they carry themselves
yes i want to write another essay on parkour. like. god. parkour is a fucking goldmine into how the sticks process getting around and how they handle competition, winning, and (very literally) obstacles.
like that green jumps over yellow's hands on the ironbars course, or that red and blue (despite punching each other every opportunity they get) aren't that competitive with each other, often being more cautious about getting around over speed.
PLUS how they planned each escape from the endless loop. like that it shows off green's ambidexterity or that orange's a very fast thinker!
god i love parkour so much. so much 😭
note block universe, the whole thing
like i've been planning this essay since i first saw episode 29 and it WILL get done some day i swear. there's just so much about it. i was listening to big band villagers today and like, there's this shared bass line between a trombone and a tenor sax i had never consciously noticed! it's really good! like aaron grooves and scott buckley just went SO hard in this and i can't possibly overstate that.
ALSO there's just. all of green's character building leading up to this episode? like obviously the note block episodes are part of that and that green's musical skill is a pivotal part of it. but there are other things that are insanely important to why note block universe works the way it does, most notably being green's ability to mimic and copy.
in the second build competition episode (episode 17: build battle), we see it very clearly that green is good at deriving other's works. green's first move is making banners for their build of the combine (it's a pretty cute vehicle ngl), which isn't something you can really... do unless you have a very good idea as to what you're building (or it's already built). green keeps looking over at blue's build! (it could be seen as them looking at the image. it was probably that too but i can't look at green's build and explain it any other way ngl).
there's also that alan made blue's build worse on purpose in the first build competition (episode 2) so that green's would look better. that doesn't quite have anything to do with what i'm saying about green but it's funny as fuck. sorry blue, you're too good at building so we had to nerf you.
but anyway, green's ability to mimic and improvise on what someone is doing is pivotal, like how they instantly rephrase their question to the baby zombie to match their genre.
i have SO much more to say on it. the essay's gonna come in like... at least three parts because i have a lot to say and it'd become too directionless otherwise.
king in general
OK LOOK. my obsession with king is a little embarrassing and i'm not even sure i can fully explain it but like. there's a lot to talk about their character and there's plenty i just made up. it is that deep, actually.
like how king would rather destroy an entire world than process their trauma and emotions. i think that's really funny (<- closest word for "i think that's terribly human of them and also tragic").
plus i think that king's intelligence is kinda... glossed over in a manner? obviously we have no clue on HOW much king had to teach themselves but it's insanely impressive to learn enough physics in the span of... say a year or two to create that staff.
i estimate the time between gold's death and king's entry to the nether to be at least half a year, since the warden exists (first in-game appearance in february 17, 2022) and the version of minecraft gold died in has since been changed to be 1.17.0 (released june 8, 2021). i kinda... have to ignore the desktop dates, since if the dates were true the series wouldn't be possible (first seen date is june 12, 2021 [episode 25], last seen date is june 14, 2021 [episode 30]). plus... a week-ish turnaround from gold dying to king creating the staff just. idk! i can't suspend my disbelief enough for that! i literally have to make it be a few months at least.
plus... if it's only been a week or so since gold died... it makes their relationship with purple like... uncomfortable. like more so. it's... i don't like rating coping mechanisms. it feels unproductive, y'know? but like... finding a new kid to project your "my kid died" feelings onto, especially one who has previously been abused isn't the... best way to cope. it has to be longer for me to be able to buy into their found familial dynamic.

A couple of video packages aired on Raw. One featured recent NXT call-ups and former NXT Women's Tag Team Champions Katana Chance and Kayden Carter. The second featured Candice LeRae.
Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler defeated Bayley & Iyo Sky, Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville, and Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi to become the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. This win marks Ronda & Shayna's first tag team championship reign as a team. It's Shayna's third WWE women's tag team title reign (previously holding the championship twice with Nia Jax), tying the record most individual reigns. For Ronda, this is her first tag team title win in her wrestling career, and her fourth championship total. With this win, Ronda becomes the 8th woman in WWE to complete the triple crown, having previously held both the Raw and SmackDown Women's championships. match length-11:40.
NXT (5/30):
Gigi Dolin defeated Jacy Jayne in a weaponized steel cage match. Gigi pinned Jacy after putting her through a table. match length-12:34.
New NXT Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton came out to the ring to celebrate her victory. The celebration ended when Roxanne Perez, Lyra Valkyria, Thea Hail, and Fallon Henley attacked Tiffany and sent her fleeing out of the ring.
The mystery attacker was revealed to be Blair Davenport, who hit a Falcon Arrow on Dani Palmer before revealing herself to the crowd.

Friday Night SmackDown (6/2):
New Raw Women's Champion Asuka was a special guest on the Grayson Waller Effect. The segment was interrupted by Iyo Sky (who was once a member of the same stable as Asuka in Japan). They argued in the ring, before Bayley came out and said that a member of Damage CTRL would be winning Money in the Bank. Shotzi joined them in the ring, also stating that she would win the briefcase. Lacey Evans also joined them, followed by Zelina Vega. Asuka began to leave up the ramp, before being attacked by Bianca Belair, who began to brawl with Asuka.
Zelina Vega defeated Lacey Evans to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match. Zelina will be appearing in her second Money in the Bank ladder match, previously competing at the 2021 event. match length-2:49.
AEW Rampage (6/2):
NJPW Strong Women's Champion Willow Nightingale defeated Emi Sakura to retain the Strong Women's Championship. match length-8:00.
Other news & updates from last week:
While this has yet to be confirmed, it has been rumored that WWE had originally planned for Dakota Kai and Tegan Nox to reunite, likely as a part of the Damage CTRL split currently playing out on TV. However, Dakota's injury has almost certainly changed those plans.
Alexa Bliss announced on Tuesday, May 30 that she and her husband Ryan Cabrera are expecting their first child together.
And in another piece of exciting news, WWE superstars Emma and Riddick Moss (fka Madcap Moss) announced their engagement.
PWInsider reported on Tuesday, May 30 that Trish Stratus will still be regularly appearing on Raw going forward.
A report from Fightful Select on Tuesday confirmed the rumor that Mercedes Mone was originally slated to win the NJPW Strong Women's Championship at NJPW Resurgence on Sunday, May 21. It was noted that Mercedes herself actually called for the end of the match as well as the change in finish, once she realized that something was physically wrong.
In the same report, Fightful Select stated that NJPW is under the impression that the injury Mercedes sustained was a severe sprain without a break. However, those close to Mercedes have expressed concern that there may be a break, and that there was too much swelling to know for sure. They're hoping to have a clearer idea of what the injury is once the swelling goes down.
Alexa Bliss said in a recent interview that WWE has extended her contract. However, it is unknown exactly when Alexa's contract will be up. She stated during an interview in November of 2020 that she still had another three to three and a half years left in her contract, which would have put her at least through the end of 2023. However, it is unknown when her deal will be up now that WWE has extended her contract.
On the June 1 episode of Impact Wrestling, Trinity (fka Naomi) defeated Savannah Evans. Following her victory, Trinity called out the reigning Impact Knockouts World Champion Deonna Purrazzo, and issued a challenge for the title. The match was made official for Impact Slammiversary on July 15, 2023.
New WWE Women's Tag Team champion Ronda Rousey spoke with the New York Post after she and Shayna Baszler won the vacant titles on the Monday, May 29 episode of Raw. Ronda said that she and Shayna want to be fighting champions, noting that the lack of competition is the biggest problem. She said that they need to get WWE to care and to invest in the women's tag team division.
In the same interview, Ronda also talked about how she and Shayna had been pushing for WWE to let them wrestle together for years, even before the Women's Tag Team Titles existed.
Newly crowned WWE Women's Tag Team champion Shayna Baszler spoke to Peter Rosenberg on the Cheap Heat podcast. Shayna talked about how she and her fellow tag team champion Ronda Rousey had both previously asked to work as a tag team, and after WWE had repeatedly delayed those requests, Ronda finally put her foot down. According to Shayna, Ronda told WWE that she wanted this tag team run with Shayna, because Shayna is the reason that she started wrestling.
In the same interview, Shayna also mentioned that it's cool that Ronda pushed to work with her as a friend, because it shows that Ronda isn't just out for herself, something that Shayna noted is rare in show business.
It's also worth mentioning that Fightful Select reported in late March 2023 that the original WrestleMania creative plans for Ronda Rousey changed significantly. The original plan for Rousey's second run as SmackDown Women's Champion would have seen her hold the title until WrestleMania, where she would have faced 2023 women's Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley. However, Ronda pushed for a tag team run with Shayna, choosing that path over defending a world title at WrestleMania.
Liv Morgan has officially confirmed that the injury she sustained during the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match on the May 12 episode of SmackDown is a torn shoulder. Wishing her all the best in her recovery.

IS THE KETU THE MOST MALEFIC CHARACTER IN THE ASTROLOGICAL FAMILY?
Tumblr media
Ketu stands for the subtle energies that either enable us to overcome our karmas or force us to confront our most potent and harmful karmas, either individually or collectively. The top astrologer in India has determined the course of our current astrological conflict with Ketu.
Rahu and Ketu, two of the top astrologers in India, designate the zodiacal nodes or locations where eclipses of the Sun and Moon can take place. A solar eclipse happens when the New Moon coincides with one of the nodes. A lunar eclipse happens when the full Moon coincides with one of the nodes according to the best astrologer in India.
Every year, there are often two sets of eclipses, spaced about six months apart. The nodes are not fixed; instead, they wander backward around the zodiac in cycles of 18.6 years. The Moon returns to the same node in 27 days.
 Strong Ketu:
Ketu is given a faint Mars influence that is mostly complemented by hints of Saturn. On a personal level, it leads to poor judgement, self-criticism, isolation, harm, and poisons. On a collective level, it causes wars, revolutions, and constrictive, fanatic viewpoints. Rahu stands for the media, entertainment, and the power to sway the masses, whereas Ketu represents mathematics, computers, research, and technology on a collective level today.
Ketu is the most significant planet in the chart for showing Self-realization because it is the highest level planet that offers spirituality, emancipation, and psychic knowledge in addition to astrology. The most potent spiritual influence in the chart might be said to be Ketu.
Because it puts a stop to everything, it is frequently referred to as the "terminator." Ketu possesses the power of negation, which at the highest spiritual level is the emancipation from body and mind, also known as Nirvana, and at the most severe human level is suicide. Ketu can represent death, either physically or psychologically, or it might represent transcendence to a greater reality.
 Ketu Transcends the Mind:
Ketu bestows inner abilities of perception, like the ability to see without an eye, hear without an ear, or breathe without a breath. The highest level of great Yogis and sages, including the opening of the third eye and crown chakras, are indicated by Ketu. On a more general level, however, Ketu represents the forces of opposing views and ideals that breed conflict and violence while also arousing strong subliminal feelings.
Ketu is now traversing the galactic centre. The coronavirus pandemic has been the most notable event. It has a peculiar name since Rahu, who is behind Ketu in the zodiac, joins this pandemic as a result of Rahu's retrograde influence on all of those planets.
Tumblr media
However, even once Ketu enters Scorpio in September 2020 and turns retrograde, it will still be powerful, offering possibly greater potential for transformation for those who are receptive to it, with a new Kalasarpa Yoga developing in early 2021. The greatest opportunity for transformation will arise when Ketu crosses Jyeshta (Kali's star) and Rahu simultaneously crosses Rohini (Lakshmi's star). June 2021 will be the focal point of this.
In any event, its passage through the Galactic Center and Mula Nakshatra has highlighted the most significant issues facing humanity and civilization, such as our beliefs, aspirations, and identities. It will encourage transcendence, which, if we reject it, may lead to annihilation. According to the famous astrologer in India, how we use the Ketu energy in humanity today will determine whether this century is coloured with darkness or light. This is especially true now that Ketu is moving into the sign of Scorpio.

John Clyne's last Annals entry from 17th June, 1349, lived rent-free in my head throughout most of 2020-2021:
"And I, Brother John Clyn, of the Order of Friars Minors, and of the Convent of Kilkenny, wrote in this book those notable things, which happened in my time, which I saw with my own eyes, or which I leaned from persons worthy of credit. And lest things worthy of remembrance should perish with time, and fall away from the memory of those who are to come after us, I, seeing these many evils, and the whole world lying as it were in the wicked one, among the dead, waiting for death til it come, as I have truly heard and examined, so have I reduced these things to writing. And lest the writing should perish with the writer, and the work fail together with the workman, I leave parchment for continuing the work, if haply any man survive, and any race of Adam escape this pestilence and continue the work which I have commenced."

Coronary Stents Market Key Vendors, Manufacturers, Suppliers and Analysis Industry Report 2030
Coronary Stents Industry Overview
The global coronary stents market size was estimated at USD 9.32 billion in 2022 and is expected to grow a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.1% from 2023 to 2030.
Growing aging population and a rising prevalence of noncommunicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), complex lesions, diabetes, obesity, and others are expected to drive demand for coronary stents over the forecast period. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2019, CVDs were among the major causes of mortality worldwide of which ischemic heart disease (IHD) ranks as the most prevalent. In 2019, an estimated 17.9 million people died from CVDs, responsible for 32% of worldwide mortalities.
Gather more insights about the market drivers, restrains and growth of the Coronary Stents Market
According to research published by the National Library of Medicine in June 2021, one of the CVDs, coronary artery disease (CAD), causes roughly 6,10,000 fatalities yearly (an estimated 1 in 4 deaths) and is the major cause of mortality in the U.S. As a result, the unprecedented rise in CAD incidence is predicted to boost demand for an effective coronary stent device for treatment. This factor is expected to bolster the demand throughout the forecast period. Since a coronary stent is used in most of the Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) procedures.
The rising preference for minimally invasive surgeries (MIS) is another factor expected to boost the adoption of coronary stents over the forecast period. The advantages of these procedures include small incision wounds leading to higher patient satisfaction. These procedures also provide shorter hospital stays and facilitate quick recovery. Stenting technology is increasingly preferred over the conventional balloon angioplasty owing to the introduction of advanced DES and evolving bioresorbable scaffolds. Technological advancements in coronary stents, such as the development of bifurcated stents and the use of biodegradable materials, have led to efficient and improved outcomes of CVD treatment. Companies are proactively involved in product developments and partnerships and strategic collaborations. The aforementioned factors are expected to propel market growth over the forecast period.
The impact of COVID-19 on the market for coronary stents closely tracked the impact of COVID-19 on overall PCI procedures. During the pandemic's initial outbreak and periods of high local COVID-19 case counts, several states, towns, and nations issued orders to citizens to shelter in place or minimize the potential exposure to and transmission of illness, resulting in elective surgeries being postponed. As a result, total PCI procedure volumes-and hence coronary stent unit sales and revenues-went significantly lower in 2020. These revenues are expected to rise as facility capacity usage improves and resumes all the semi-elective to non-urgent procedures.
The notable competitors in the market for coronary stents announced revenue falls in their interventional cardiology portfolios, which include coronary stent devices, in 2020, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Boston Scientific, for instance, reported a significant decrease in annual revenues in its Interventional Cardiology segment, which includes coronary stent devices, in 2020, but the company performed relatively well in the first quarter of 2021, reporting revenue growth of approximately 7% globally compared to the first quarter of 2020. In contrast, Abbott Laboratories Laboratories was the least affected, with less impact on its entire vascular segment in 2020, which includes coronary stent devices, in its 2020 annual results.
Browse through Grand View Research's Medical Devices Industry Research Reports.
• The global disposable hospital gowns market size was valued at USD 3.68 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 12.9% from 2024 to 2030.
• The global knee braces market size was valued at USD 1.12 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 7.7% from 2024 to 2030.
Competitive Insights
Product launches, approvals, strategic acquisitions, and innovations are some of the crucial business strategies adopted by market participants to maintain and grow their global reach. Abbott Laboratories, Boston Scientific, and Medtronic accounted for a significant presence in the overall market. These companies have gained a notable presence in the market due to good strong performances in the lucrative DES market and large product portfolios spanning numerous different IC device categories. For instance, in August 2022, Medtronic launched the Onyx Frontier drug-eluting stent (DES). The new product offers advanced delivery management and improves the overall performance in the most challenging cases.
Despite the dominance of the three major manufacturers, the market for coronary stents is a blend of numerous global and local players. BIOTRONIK, for instance, has been able to establish a significant presence in the entire market by offering low pricing and new technologies that address unmet needs. Positive clinical results from BIOTRONIK's BIONYX, BIOFLOW-V, and BIOSOLVE trials, in conjunction with the use of BIOTRONIK's Orsiro DES and Magmaris BRS, have positioned the company well to compete against the market's largest players. BIOTRONIK is also one of the most competitive players in the overall BRS device market. Terumo Corporation, Biosensors International, and Cardinal Health are a few additional significant competitors in this market. Some of the prominent players in the global coronary stents market include:
Abbott
Medtronic
Boston Scientific Corporation

Cris Miró
New Post has been published on https://flashvintage.co.uk/2024/05/22/cris-miro/
Cris Miró
Tumblr media
Cris Miró (16 September 1965 – 1 June 1999) was an Argentine entertainer and media personality with a brief but influential career as a top-billing vedette in Buenos Aires’ Revista theatre scene during the mid-to-late 1990s. Miró began her acting career in the early 1990s in fringe theatre plays and later rose to fame as a vedette at the Teatro Maipo in 1995. For years, she hid her HIV-positive status from the press until her death on 1 June 1999 due to AIDS-related lymphoma.
As Jorge Perez Evelyn in the ’70s, Cris was also a travesty celebrity in Argentina. She caused a media sensation and paved the way for the visibility of the transgender community in local society. Nevertheless, her figure was initially questioned by some members of the burgeoning Travesti activism movement, who resented the unequal treatment she received compared to most trans people. She is now regarded as a symbol of the Argentine 1990s.
In the late 1980s, Miró met theatre director Jorgelina Belardo at Bunker—a popular gay club in Buenos Aires—who asked her to join a theatrical production group that Belardo had formed with Juanito Belmonte. Belardo became Miró’s close friend and artistic director, while Belmonte worked as her press agent. Working with them, Miró made her fringe theatre debut in the plays Fragmentos del infierno—based on a text by Antonin Artaud—and Orgasmo apocalíptico, which focused on sexuality issues more explicitly. Before her career as a vedette, Miró made film appearances in Fernando Ayala’s Dios los cría (1991) and Luis Puenzo’s La peste (1992), based on Albert Camus’ novel of the same name.
In 1994, Miró went to a casting call at Teatro Maipo, one of the most important venues in the Buenos Aires revue theatre scene (in Spanish teatro de revistas), a widely popular genre at the time. She only presented herself as a female once on stage, performing a strip tease to a Madonna song. Producer Lino Patalano immediately cast her as a vedette for his show Viva la Revista en el Maipo, which premiered in 1995 and quickly made her a celebrity. Miró appeared on Mirtha Legrand’s famous television program, where guests have lunch with her and are interviewed. That broadcast is now infamous for the uncomfortable questions that Legrand asked Miró, such as her dead name or if “it bothers you that people know that you are a man”. At that time, questions like these were common to transgender guests on television but are negatively assessed in retrospect.
  Legacy:
After gaining popularity as a vedette, Miró became a national media sensation for the perceived gender-bender aspects of her image and is considered a symbol of the postmodern era in Argentina. As the first Argentine travesty to become a national celebrity, she has been considered the “first trans icon of the country”. Miró’s presence meant a change in the Argentine show business of the era and popularized transgender and cross-dressing acts in Buenos Aires’ revue theatrical scene. As such, she is regarded as a symbol of the social milieu of the Argentine 1990s and an icon of the decade. She paved the way for other Argentine travestis and trans women to gain popularity as vedettes, most notably Flor de la V, who described her in 2021 as the “first trans [person] that the public recognized as an artist” and a “shooting star that lasted only a short time on earth [but] will continue to illuminate the way forever.” In an interview with Revista NX in 1997, Miró reflected on her impact:
I am very grateful for what is happening to me, and this has helped open doors for other people. (…) But I do not forget many people who were there and tried, who worked a lot and continue to do so. This regarding the commercial circuit. But it was also important because of all the prejudice that existed around travestis, who were related to [street prostitution], or with the transformistas (…). I think that in a few years these beliefs changed a lot. I do not claim all this myself, but I do know I did my bit because the doors were opened to me, and I always said that those open doors were also going to open for other people and that was the most important thing. [The arrests and torture of travestis] give me feelings of horror. I feel sorry for these things that happen in the country, although this reality occurs in other places. (…) … I have also experienced those abuses. Going down the street and having problems with the police, with other people; being at the doorstep of an apartment waiting for a taxi to come and being afraid that a patrol car will come and take me away. Some years ago I thought I was never going to live this Argentina of achieving rights or respect. For example, that a transsexual is given her documents in accordance with her sexual identity. But everything has a cost. There have been many travestis who are no longer with us, who are imprisoned, who are taken into custody daily, all so that today other people can walk more freely on the street.
Miró’s rise to fame in the mid-1990s was a watershed moment in the visibility of transgender identities in Argentine society, as it increased the visibility of the transgender community in the national media scene and opened a debate about their marginalized living conditions. But, although the rise to the celebrity of Miró happened in parallel to the political organization of travesties and the visibility of their activism, she never took part in the movement; she was initially criticized by many of its members, who resented the unequal treatment she received compared to the neglected travesty prostitutes.[3] They also criticized Miró for embodying the “patriarchal mandate” that trans women should look like an idealized vision of “the perfect woman”. In this sense, she evidenced the desire of thousands of men for the new travesti bodies, with anthropologist Josefina Fernández claiming that: “the exchange that Cris Miró makes while living from her job as a vedette, as a body inserted in a market, does not differ from the exchange that a [travesti street prostitute] is forced to make to survive.” Reflecting on her death, feminist scholar Mabel Bellucci argued in 1999 that Miró’s acceptance was an attempt by “the system” to try to show that there was not so much discrimination, presenting her as “the exception to the rule” and encapsulating her in a role that prevented her from creating ties with her [travesti] peers. She wrote: “If this had meant a greater democratization of the travesti movement she could have achieved a greater recognition of rights.” Biographer Carlos Sanzol reflected in 2016:
Cris was somehow both a “beneficiary” and victim of machismo. A beneficiary because she represented the model of “womanhood” that the imaginary of misogyny seeks: the femme fatale, the objectified woman. And a victim because the macho discourse excludes everything that is far from the canon of virility. Seventeen years after her death, these values still persist in Argentine society with their worst facet: femicides.
A portrait photograph of Miró is displayed since 2019 at the Museo Casa Rosada as part of the exhibition Íconos Argentinos (English: “Argentine Icons”).
Her death is featured in the plot of Camila Sosa Villada’s 2019 award-winning novel Las Malas. The novel’s trans main characters mourn her, regarding her as “the Evita of travesties.”
In June 2021, an Argentine producer announced that a biographical television series on Miró was in the making, potentially released via Netflix the following year.

There’s nothing on the acting front showing up for Rose, perhaps due to the recent news that she is pregnant with her second child.

Global Ventricular Assist Devices Market Outlook (2021-2027)
The global ventricular assist devices (VAD) market is projected to experience significant growth, expanding at a notable CAGR from 2021 to 2027. The rise in heart failure and stroke cases has driven the demand for advanced VADs. These devices, essential for patients with weakened hearts or heart failure, are typically placed in the left, right, or both ventricles, with the left ventricle being the most common.
Tumblr media
Key factors propelling the VAD market include the growing prevalence of cardiac disorders, especially among the elderly, and the prolonged waiting times for heart transplants. According to the World Health Organization, the top ten causes of death accounted for 55% of the 55.4 million deaths worldwide in 2019. Coronary heart disease was the leading cause of death from cardiovascular diseases in the U.S., followed by stroke, high blood pressure, heart failure, arterial diseases, and other cardiovascular conditions. Additionally, technological advancements in VADs are boosting market growth. For instance, in March 2020, SynCardia Systems, LLC received U.S. FDA approval for its 50cc temporary Total Artificial Heart System (50cc TAH-t), intended as a bridge to transplantation for patients at risk of imminent death from biventricular failure.
The COVID-19 pandemic has posed significant challenges for cardiovascular care, leading to higher mortality rates among patients with pre-existing heart conditions. According to the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, deaths due to ischemic heart disease and hypertensive diseases increased in some U.S. regions during the early pandemic phase. From January 1, 2020, to June 2, 2020, there were approximately 397,042 cardiovascular deaths due to ischemic heart disease.
For comprehensive insights into the services in the Ventricular Assist Devices market, visit: - https://univdatos.com/report/ventricular-assist-devices-market
The market is segmented based on products into Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs), Right Ventricular Assist Devices (RVADs), Biventricular Assist Devices (BIVADs), Percutaneous Ventricular Assist Devices (PVADs), and Total Artificial Heart (TAH). LVADs led the market in 2020, assisting the left ventricle in pumping blood to the aorta and the rest of the body. Applications are divided into Destination Therapy, Bridge-to-Candidacy (BTC) Therapy, Bridge-to-Transplant (BTT) Therapy, Bridge-to-Recovery (BTR) Therapy, and others, with Destination Therapy capturing the largest revenue share in 2020 due to increased awareness and availability of VADs.
Flow type segmentation includes continuous flow and pulsatile flow, with continuous flow dominating in 2020 due to its smaller size, durability, energy efficiency, lower thrombogenicity, and less surgical trauma. Design-wise, the market splits into transcutaneous and implantable devices, with the latter accounting for the major revenue share in 2020. End-user segmentation includes hospitals & cardiac centers, ambulatory surgical centers, and others, with hospitals & cardiac centers expected to see significant growth.
