So the airport bookshop's gone completely mental today. Harry Potter this, Harry Potter that. You'd think we were flogging duty-free Gucci instead of books about some specs-wearing wizard kid. I mean, I've seen chaos during holiday rushes, but this is next level. Got grannies between flights practically jousting with their wheelie bags to grab reprinted copies.

Had to see what all the fuss was about, didn't I? Especially since I've been stacking these things on shelves for weeks now, watching everyone lose their minds. Downloaded the whole bloody series on my Kindle during my break. SEVEN books. And you know what's properly mortifying? I've already torn through two of them between shifts. Me. The girl who usually just reads magazine headlines while restocking.

God, I used to be such a prat about it all. Proper eye-rolling whenever someone came to the counter with one. Even dozed off during film number two when x and that lot dragged me to the cinema. Proper drooling on my popcorn and everything.

And now here I am, actually getting why Terminal 3's turned into some sort of Potter paradise. But listen - don't go thinking I've gone soft or anything. It's still just supernatural nonsense with a side of boarding passes. Two stars. And that's me being generous.

Whatever. My break's over and there's another flight from JFK landing. Time to restock the Potter pile. Again.

More Feral!Angor tidbits + bonus doodle

A strange concept I imagine in my head when thinking about Feral!Angor is that he has a trauma induced compulsion to hoard rings. Team Trollhunter’s theory after further research is that It’s because he thinks his soul is still in one. Angor had a small pile of many kinds of rings long before he met Jim, Toby, and Claire.

Draal swears that Angor watched him sleep. While it’s not rare for Angor to watch Draal specifically, it is uncommon enough that no one believes Draal. (Angor was only caught once)

Blinky has stumbled upon Angor just sitting in the middle of the floor of his home on many occasions. It doesn’t particularly ease Blinky’s minor paranoia towards the feral troll, especially since Angor has no means of entering Trollmarket. He accidentally kicked Angor in the dark and avoided him for a month due to fear.

Along the way of trying to establish a form of communication with Angor, Angor has learned a few words like the names of those most frequently in his life, the word “friend” and then “baby.” NotEnrique is NotAfan of Angor learning that last word because now Angor points at him and says “baby” whenever they interact for the first time that week.

We’ve had Dog (Calhoun) since he was 6wks, and he was born in October 2020 (a real Covid baby but that’s another post), then we found Cat (Remoulade) in April 2024 and Cal’s face in this pic sums up how he’s felt about the addition since Remy moved in the main house in late May.

Okra Away! . At the request of my kids’ mom, am attempting okra for the first time ✊🏼 . Read they have sensitive roots, so created some high-tech biodegradable pots out of toilet paper tubes 😎👍 . In the past, have found those TPots don’t really break down very fast, but I think that was due to me watering daintily from the top—this time gonna make them Wet Ass Planters with a good thick bottom watering. . Good thing okra likes the heat cause it’s gettin’ warm in here 😳 .
