I just think Kayleigh loved him with everything she had. She was such a boy mom, and her boy was her EVERYTHING. What if she took pictures of Kevin all the time, of her and her amazing son together, bc all I can see in my head right now is pictures like these, of the two of them, that Kevin has never seen before.

Did the Moriyama’s get rid of them when she died? Or are they there, somewhere, ready to be unearthed when the parties keeping them hidden finally die themselves? If he kept the letter, maybe Tetsuji kept photos, too. Has Kevin ever seen a picture of him and his mom together that isn’t from sports magazines from the 90’s, or from the day or week she died?

Kayleigh bringing her son around the world, to see the world as she sees it, photos of him in Europe and Asia. Pictures of Kevin with his first Exy racquet. Her and Kevin with a sports award, her and Kevin in an Irish pub somewhere in the US, her and Kevin smiling wide and happy and comfortable.

I like to imagine that Kayleigh did everything she possibly could to make sure he was happy and healthy. At least, up until the point where he was old enough to start playing, until the responsibility of his future was slowly, slowly, slowly pushed into the hands of the Moriyama’s. She bought him everything on his Christmas lists even when she couldn’t afford it. He never cried on his birthday. If he didn’t want to do school on any given day she wouldn’t force him, happy to get him out into nature, or on to the court, to enrich his growing brain in that way instead.

He never went to bed without a bedtime story or a kiss goodnight. He never had to wonder about whether or not he was loved.

Kayleigh loved her son with everything that she had, and Kevin knew it, but Kevin forgot that eventually. He was made to forget, he had to forget, because if he remembered what it felt like to be loved and cared for he’d never have survived without her.

I haven't noticed how much AI generated content fucked up Google until I started using Google Translate very regularly when I can't remember a word in English (English is not my first language).

It's... upsetting how bad it has become. It cannot even translate simple words anymore in most cases. I have to use an honest-to-god paper dictionary from 2004, like a 🦴caveman🦴. Apart from the fact that it's obviously 250 times slower, it doesn't even have some of the words I'm looking for, definitely not the newer expressions. I should probably buy a newer version but they are so damn expensive...

Plus, it's giving me horrible high school flashbacks 😵‍💫

Din adopts eldritch kid Desmond.

Desmond does his usual thing, aka dies, and gets isekai’d to a whole different galaxy. He doesn’t remember the full extent of his past, but he does remember shitty dad and early assassin training. (Plus ancestor memories in the form of dreams) He’s like… 6 at this point, first grader age.

He wakes up in an ancient force temple where Din was scoping out some kind of Jedi artifact for Luke, Desmond happened to be holding it when he appeared there.

Din finds Desmond and immediately goes “ah yes, a free child, mine now” but in his own way. Desmond is a nervous baby, but he eventually goes “tall scary armored man, he’s blue tho, and has food, so… friend? Friend.”

Din takes baby Desmond and the artifact back to Luke who’s grateful and fond at how sweet Din is being with both Desmond and Grogu.

Cue adorable fluff and domestic cuteness, also angst because Desmond describes how his og dad was like and they’re both just like: “yeah, no, this is our baby now, no take-backsies”

Also force shenanigans, Luke was nervous at first, due to how Desmond seemed so comfortable using the dark side of the force, but ultimately accepted how light side Desmond is about it and how calm he is, so he lets it slide.

Bonus Mand’alor Din

Murder baby Desmond taking out an assassin by himself, Din is both bamboozled and proud while Luke is very concerned but also proud. The Mandalorians adore the young heir, he’s very sweet and also efficient.
