If you love a femme fatale in MDZS, here is a canon one for you.

This going to be long post with pictures, please remind yourself that skim reading or read just half of a post and then kick a fuss is unbecoming of an intellectual being humans suppose to be. Any discussion after finished reading the whole post is welcome. Also I’m not an expert on Chinese culture, just amateur with passion, and English is not my first language, if any grammar, spelling, or context error have been detected, please let me know, politely. I’m always willing to learn and improve.

From my observation, there is not a small part of this fandom salivating for a gorgeous seductive manipulative duplicitous bitch. Please believe me that we already have one in the canon, even with a fan. Though the correct term would be a Homme Fatal, a male equivalent of Femme Fatale.

No, not him. Not Nie Huaisang. This is a plot device for shock value.

Also sadly no, not Jin Guangyao either. This man need to a kick and ‘son of a whore’ commentary from Nie Mingjue to motivate himself enough to kill him, too masochistic sentimental and not enough of ‘seducing’ evidence.

Homme Fatal, by the definition from Wikitionary, is “An ultimately seductive and dangerous man; a womanizer.”

Who fit this description most in MDZS? It’s this man, Jin Guangshan.

Now you might want to scream, this piece of trash, a man whore, slimy power hungry scumbag of the cultivation society Jin Guangshan? Are we talking about the same man? Yes, we are. And now I will elaborate.

First, look at his face, even though it might be universal agreement that he is not a good man, his appearance and his mannerism are indeed a seductive handsome man. Let me remind you again that these are his children.

They are undeniably, gorgeous. Jin Zixuan was rank 3rd in the young master list, that’s enough evidence of his good look. Jin guangyao may get most of his look from his mother - according to Guanyin statue that model after his mother’s face but people still thought it was his - but he still has his father’s charm. Qin Su is a beauty, even though we know nearly nothing about her, and Mo xuanyu’s face is definitely not shabby. Jin Guangshan’s gene is indeed worthy of a Jin’s name.

Second, Jin Guanshan is a dangerous man, might have been the most dangerous one on par with Wen Ruohan, even he was the weaker one in term of cultivation, at least you will have a gist if Wen Ruohan want you dead, you mostly still in the dark and not even wondering on your dead bed that did Jin Guangshan had a hand in your downfall.

People like to forget that this man was Lanling Jin sect leader, sit on the throne in the viper pit call Jinlin Tower. That sect full of backstabbing people, gossips, and a lot of maneuvering in the dark. I’m still curious how in the heavens Jin Zixuan grow up to be the man he was in that kind of environment to be honest.

I can’t remember that Jin Guangshan was the oldest one in his generation or not, but we could assume that he surely at least had a sibling of main family line, because we have Jin Zixun, a man in ‘Zi’ generation who close enough to main family to share the ‘Zi’ character in his courtesy name, raise next to the clan heir as a spare one, and he call Jin Guangshan “uncle” (Can’t remember which one between Bó Fù/older paternal uncle or Shū Fù/younger paternal uncle).

Which mean he already a winner of his generation, when the story start, Lanling Jin was his domain, he was the highest authority over there with no contest, we never see anyone from Jin sect disobey him. Madam Jin can only voice out her displeasure, but can’t do anything regarding of her husband conduct. Their marriage, arranged as they were, is what tied Jin clan and her family together, which mean her maternal clan also on a good term with Jin, she cannot kick a fuss, as a marriage in ancient time never a matter of two people, it’s a matter of two families.

And he was in process of securing his legitimated son place too. He raise his nephew as a ‘second best’, making sure that Jin Zixun will not have any ambition to ‘go above his station’ as we can see in the novel that Jin Zixun is Jin Zixuan’s fanboy or his lackey, he always praising or cheering Jin Zixuan, behave obediently toward his uncle, like that was his job. Jin Guangshan definitely win this one over already.

Now, one did not become a sect leader of a Great Sect and stay in power by being an incompetent moron. His habits of sleeping around may disgust people, but here me out, this is not unusual for a man of his status. His affairs with prostitutes [i.e Meng Shi] are easiest to take care, by the contract of transection, therefore he is blameless in the eyes of gentry class, they could only scold him for being ‘overindulgent’ or ‘lustful’, and he always go for the best one around, so some people might even praise him for his taste. Commoners and gentry class ladies [i.e. Second Lady Mo] are different, sleeping with those gentry class young miss not only a pleasure for him, it also could be a great way of getting information and blackmailing people too. Because if he let the public know which young lady he had already ‘conquered’, his reputation suffer nothing, but the lady in question will be ruined beyond saving, that’s one of the reason madam Qin decide to keep her raped quiet. And the lady’s reputation is link to her family, they will do many things just to keep Jin Guangshan happy and not to be shamed in public. Or if anyone want to have a problem with him, they still need to look at the social standing he had, both from his position as Sect Leader Jin and his extensive connections from all parties he threw. And if you think he would care about non-cultivators’ opinions, you have mistaken, to quote Tywin Lannister, "A Lion Doesn't Concern Himself With The Opinions Of The Sheep". Unlink Jin Guagyao who need his reputation to be spotless or else he’ll get a canon ending, the only ones he need to at least pretend to care are his cultivator peers of the same gentry class.

Sadly, him kicking Meng Yao down the stairs also ‘acceptable’ by the society standard of that era, because it’s Meng Yao who ‘trying to reach where he didn’t belong’ in the eyes of gentry, illegitimate children, if not acknowledged, have nothing to do with their father’s family. Cruel? Yes. But nobody care, this even become a famous joke, enough that people like Nie Mingjue know.

This prove that even he was a handsome man with a bad bitch vibes, many ladies still want to sleep with him, society still on his side, what a skill to have in one arsenal.

He was the only sect leader - in the Great sects categories - to get along with Wen Ruohan or play his card right, compare to Nie sect that lost the previous sect leader to a blatant assassination plot, but could only endure, the Lan’s Gusu was burned, Qingheng-Jun’s death, Lan Xichen need to flee for his life and his clan’s legacy, the Jiang’s Lotus pier suffer a massacre, and then you have Lanling Jin who sit on the fence with no damage.

Then Sunshot campaign happen, he let his heir lead the Jin force while stay at Jinlin Tower, he feigned ignorance over Nie Mingjue’s letter concerning Meng Yao, if Meng Yao die, he would have one less problem in his life, if he survive then Jin clan still get a soldier to be used, no big deal. And when Meng Yao become a spy, this also benefit him greatly, if the Wen wins, he could say that he sent Wen Ruohan a good tool and was force to join the Sunshot side, pulling “Look at how unwilling I was, the Jin not even try that hard you see”.

We already witness he jump in full force to reap the benefit after the Wen lost, Jin Guangshan is smart and skill enough to wait for the clear victory, legitimize Jin Guangyao to take the war credits, with a ‘Guang’ name to exclude him from succession line, with a connection to Lan and Nie clans via Sworn Brotherhood. The best of all is no one can publicly complain anything, Jin clan is the most intact great clan after war, Lan need money for their rebuild their home, Jiang need to be rebuild from scratch, Nie Mingjue lack seniority to scold a man of his father generation, Lan Qiren who is in the same generation lack a position to do so, smaller sects also need his backing to rebuild, want to be on his good side or risking annihilation when no one can help them. He rope in the Jiang clan by Jiang Yanli’s marriage, for the society, he is the benevolent man who honors the promise of two clans even when the Jiang is still in ruin, he is a kind man who help the younger generation, what a good father-in-law to be. Now do you feel that this man is scary? He come out of war, lying in his own house but still emerge with enough political power to maneuvering society, that’s an achievement on its own.

Then he look at Yiling Patriarch, his next goal. If he cannot control this dangerous man then let him be destroy and let him create the one that will belong to Jin clan. Not dissimilar to the opinion in Cold War related to nuclear weapon. First he sow a discord between Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian, play the insecurities of young sect leader who has no family backing, pressure him with society, even though losing his heir was out of the plan. He used his ‘spare son’, who has a great work resume for shady business, to do all his dirty work and supervise demonic cultivation experiment that if society found out he could have a perfect scapegoat, after all, it’s not surprise for ‘a son of a whore’ with ‘dirty blood and upbringing’ to be like that. Daggling his ‘love and legitimize’ over Jin guangyao’s head to ensure loyalty and obedience. Getting Mo Xuanyu into the clan also sent a message that ‘I can always replace you with any of my spare’. He let Xue Yang have fun with the Chang clan, a revenge massacre while tasting demonic cultivation experiment, win-win for then both, Nie Mingjue went to talk with Jin Guangshan on this matter but Jin Guangyao end up taking all the blame of his father’s conduct, wow. Correct me if I’m wrong here, Jin Guangshan was the one who order Nie Mingjue’s death wasn’t he. If yes, then his plan to establish Jin sect as the main power after the war is really clean cut, ‘get rid of the one I can’t control’.

Let’s be real, Jin Guangshan must be the best politician of his own generation, Wen Ruohan is too strong for this skill to be essential, but doesn’t mean he isn’t good (may be next essay then), Jiang Fengmian wasn’t a bad sect leader, but he just too mild for that political climate, late Nie sect leader was too careless in whatever spat he had with Wen Ruohan, and Qingheng-jun was a fail sect leader. Yes, marry for love must be so romantic, but then he just throw all his responsibility onto Lan Qiren’s shoulder, poor man, what a disaster older brother to have, madam Lan debacle must be a political nightmare.

Jin Guangshan’s mistake was he overvalue himself in Jin Guangyao’s eyes, and underestimated how low his bastard son willing to sink to before rise up, but need to give it up to him though, poetic justice of his death is so iconic. Not many people can claim they die while doing what they love aren’t they.

The outside venue bustled with the sound of laughter and conversation. Twinkling fairy lights were strung from wooden posts, fireflies lighting up the night. The atmosphere was full of excitement and anticipation, but behind a certain closed door one person was filled with all of those things- including a number of other emotions that filled the air with the feeling of an impeding storm, crackling with electricity.

Akaashi nervously fixed his tie in the mirror for the thousandth time, attempting to take deep and even breaths while pacing back and forth in the tiny dressing room. He could hear the chatter from outside, knowing that out there, at the end of that aisle, was his lover brandishing a tuxedo similar to his own.

"Keji, it's going to be okay. You're going to be okay. Now stop pacing you're making me nervous and I'm not even the one getting married," said the gray-haired setter from Karasuno, who had become one of Akaashi's dearest friends in the latter years.

Akaashi halted his pacing for only a moment to look yet again in the full length mirror that was adorned onto the wall, his eyes traveling over each and every part of his suit, fingers brushing lightly over the soft, light pink petals of the rose that was placed into the small breast pocket.

He locked eyes with Suga in the mirror, the latter giving him a gentle smile which calmed the storm ever so slightly. He couldn't believe this was actually happening- but here he was, waiting on the cue that all of the guests had been seated for the reception.

To put it lightly, Akaashi was terrified. But at the same time, tingles ignited in fingertips, flaming up his arms and into his chest as they sparkled with excitement. His palms were sweaty, stomach in tangled up knots. Nothing could have prepared him for this moment.

Suddenly the door opens, and the director pops her head in with a broad smile covering her features.

"It's time."

Akaaski takes in a sharp breath, looking over at his friend with wide eyes. 'Oh god, this is happening. It's really really happening,' he thought, mind racing, unable to form any coherent thoughts as Suga walked up to him.

"Are you ready to get married?" He questioned, bright eyes meeting his. Akaashi took in a shaky breath, glancing down at the gold band on Suga's dainty finger. The sight eased the tension in his chest, and his eyes crinkled with adoration at the thought of having his own in a matter of minutes.

"Let's do this."

Gentle music flowed throughout the venue, ceasing any conversations and causing heads to turn towards the large oak doors at the beginning of the aisle. Bokuto ceased the wringing of his hands and light bickering with Kuroo, immediately averting his eyes to the doors.

Kuroo gave him one last slap on the back as he returned to his spot beside the former ace, supporting him as his best man. All eyes were glued to the doors at the end of the aisle as they opened in time with the beautiful music.

A small orange head of hair arrived first. Natsu carried a basket full of light pink rose petals, nervously tossing handfuls of them as she walked down the aisle. She smiled and waved as she passed her older brother, and stepped with a new found confidence.

As she reached the end of her destination, she jogged up to Bokuto and gave him a fist bump, the crowd gently laughing as they had their moment.

As the music crescendoed, all eyes were back at the start. Bokuto's heart felt like it could beat out of his chest at any moment and his eyes were already slightly wet with tears. 'Dude you're already crying and he hasn't even walked out yet. Get ahold of yourself!' he thought, frantically wiping his eyes with the back of his hand.

Akaaski stood just out of sight of the large oak doors with his mother, who had linked her arm through his. Tears were already glistening in her eyes. He took the pad of his thumb and wiped the wetness away from her face as she fondly smiled at her son.

"I'm so proud of you," she said, cupping his cheek with her palm. He leaned into her touch, closing his eyes for a brief moment before opening them again. "I love you, mom," he said, leaning down to place a gentle kiss onto her forehead. "I love you too. Now, let's go," she said, guiding Akaashi to the entrance.

A light glow casted itself onto the two as they walked through the doors. Everyone stood in awe of the beautiful man that appeared, Bokuto's eyes instantly filling with tears again as his eyes landed on his groom.

He felt like he was in a dream. The lights seemed to cast a golden halo around Akaashi's dark hair, his toned body adorned with a dark navy blue suit that matched his eyes perfectly. The pink rose was his idea-he had remembered that it was Akaashi's favorite flower so he had it arranged for him to wear one.

He looked absolutely breath taking.

On the other end of the aisle, Akaashi met the eyes of all of his friends, from past and present. He saw Suga with a tissue in his hand, Daichi holding his arms around the former's waist in an affectionate manner. To his left, Hinata and Kageyama stood, fighting to get a better view. He chuckled a little. 'Those two will never change.'

And, lastly, his eyes connected with Bokuto's. It felt as though time had stopped. The storm that had been brewing shot down one lone lightning strike. It felt as though you could feel the electricity between the two.

Akaashi's heart was beating frantically in his chest, and he felt all of his worries melt away in his gaze. Bokuto's amber orbs were watery with tears, but they only showed one overpowering emotion- love.

Akaashi felt his own tears start to fall down his face at the sight of his lover, and he decided that if he looked into his eyes any longer he might break down into sobs; he instead broke eye contact to look at the all-black suit that hugged his broad shoulders. A small pink rose matching his own was pinned to his lapel, and his hair was styled down for once.

He looked absolutely magnificent.

The music started to fade into light violin sounds as Bokuto stepped down from the altar to meet Akaashi and his mother. She looked to her son and back to his fiancée, pure fondness in her eyes. She unlinked her arm and reached for Akaashi's and Bokuto's hands.

"I love you both dearly. Kōtarō, thank you for taking care of my son," she said, now linking their two hands together as she handed him off to spend the rest of his life with his beloved. Akaashi sent a warm smile to his mother as he squeezed Bokuto's hand in his.

"I'll take good care of him Mrs. Akaashi" Bokuto said, turning now to face the former, "forever."

Akaashi's heart swelled with joy over those words, a single tear falling down his face. "Now now, the best part hasn't even started. You can't be crying now," Bokuto said, lifting his free hand up to wipe away the lone tear. "Says the one who's been crying since I walked out," Akaashi said, giggling at the face his fiancée made.

They stepped up together onto the altar, and turned towards each other so they were face-to-face. Bokuto couldn't help the radiant smile he had as he looked at his fiancée in front of him, and lightly chuckled as he had to wipe more tears from his face.

"You all may be seated," the priest said, and everyone in the room did as they were told. Akaashi wanted to turn his head to look at Suga one last time for a look of encouragement, but he couldn't stray away from Bokuto's eyes. They were filled with so much fondness and passion that it almost swept Akasshi off his feet then and there.

He felt warm looking into the eyes of the man in front of him. He felt at home. But most importantly, he felt utterly and deeply loved.

'How did I get so lucky?'

"We are gathered here today to unite these two wonderful people in marriage," the priest said as he looked out into the audience. Bokuto could hear sniffling behind him and made a mental note to collect his $5 from winning the bet he and Tsukki had made before the wedding.

"Their decision to marry has not been entered into lightly and today they publicly declare their devotion to each other. The essence of this commitment is the acceptance of each other in entirety, as lover, companion, and friend."

Akaashi gave a soft smile as he heard the words from the priest, knowing now, and forever, he would have all 3 of those things. He couldn't be happier (if he could, he would most likely combust into thin air).

"Now I have been informed that these two have made their own personal vows, so I will allow them to say them now," he said, glancing between Bokuto and Akaashi with a smile. "Who is going first?"

Bokuto shakily took a deep breath and turned around to face Kuroo, who's hand was already outstretched holding a folded (and also horribly crumpled) piece of paper.

"Dude, you got this, I promise he would love anything you wrote down, okay?" Kuroo whispered into Bokuto's ear, the latter thankful for the words of encouragement from his bestfriend.

The former ace turned back around to meet Akaashi's eyes once again. He took a deep breath and started his vows.

"Wow. You look absolutely breath-taking," he said incredulously, earning a lighthearted chuckle from the man across from him as he said a quiet 'thank you'.

"I seriously cannot believe this is happening," Bokuto said, making everyone in the audience laugh at his antics and the over-dramatic movements be was making.

"If you would have told little ole' second year me that he would be marrying Akaashi Keji, he probably would have fainted right then and there."

An abundance of laughter and fits of giggles fill the area, Akaashi himself throwing his head back laughing, a sight that not many other than Bokuto himself has seen. Once everyone calms down, he continues.

"The first time I laid eyes on you, I instantly fell in love, whether I knew it or not. And, I just, jeez, you were like this angel. This untouchable being that I could only admire from afar. Being able to play volleyball with you was like a dream come true.”

"Throughout high school I kept my feelings a secret, because honestly, why would someone like you like someone like me? I felt so much joy just being able to play with you by my side, and that was enough for me.”

"When 3rd year came along, I started to worry. By then I had acknowledged the fact the I was hopelessly in love with you, but I was afraid.”

"Afraid that if I admitted my true feelings, you would have turned me away. Afraid that I would no longer have you in my life; and that fear drove me to bury my feelings in the lowest hole I could find.”

"Until one day, this guy standing beside me," he motioned towards Kuroo with his hand, "said, and I quote, 'Dude. Just tell him. It's obvious he feels the same way. Are you really that blind?', and at first I didn't believe him.”

"But as the weeks went by, I kept reeling over what he had said in my head. So, the day before I graduated, I decided to tell you. I thought it would be my last chance to ever let you know how I truly felt.”

"And by some miraculous chance, you told me that you felt the same way."

Akaashi was freely crying by now, remembering that day like it was yesterday.

"Now, here we are, holding hands on an altar getting married," Bokuto said, eyes glimmering with his own tears, his hands lightly squeezing Akaashi's in his own.

"I don't think words could explain how thankful I am to have you in my life forever, 'Kaashi. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."

The crowd erupted into small 'awws' at Bokuto's final words to his vows, tears flowing from almost every face. Suga had to bring up a box of tissues to Bokuto, who was now a snotty teary mess.

"Wow, how do I top that?" Akaashi said, earning a few giggles from the crowd and Bokuto himself. "I don't know, because that was pretty awesome, if I do say so myself," he said, shaking his shoulders and puffing his chest out, earning a light smack on the chest from Akaashi.

"I don't know, love, but I'll try," the raven haired male said, fondly looking at Bokuto with a twinkle in his eye. With a deep breath, he pulled out his own folded piece of paper from his pocket, this one neatly folded, not a crinkle in sight. He gently unfolded it, and started his vows.

"When I first arrived at Fukurodani, I was speaking with the principal. He asked me if I was interested in any club sports, and mentioned volleyball. I wasn't sure about it, but I figured I would give it a try.”

"One of my classmates saw the flyer on my desk, and promptly said, 'Good luck with Bokuto. He's a crazy one,' and I wasn't sure what he meant until I met you."

He lightly chuckled at the memory, and he was accompanied by the laughter of others too.

"When I first met you, I knew instantly that you were trouble for me. I didn't understand as to why my gut was telling me to run away, but the very next year, I understood.”

"I had never let anyone see the real me. I was always reserved, quiet, one of the outliers in life. And I was fine with that, until I met you.”

"You were this lively, bursting ball of energy and full of so many different dimensions I couldn't comprehend. It's funny you said that you thought I was untouchable, because I thought the same about you.”

"It was the first time I had been confused about a person, the first time I was caught off guard-and it scared me. I thought that I'd ought to keep someone like you as far away from me as possible, because if I were to fall in love with someone like that, it would surely set me on fire.

"But before I knew it, you had cracked the hardened shell I had placed around myself and broke down my walls; and, like a fool, I had completely fallen in love with you."

Akaashi paused to retrieve two tissues from the box the priest was holding, handing one to Bokuto, who was now a teary mess yet again. After wiping his own face, he continued.

"The day you told me your feelings, I thought I was dreaming. That I was going to wake up any second and have to go throughout the next day a sad, moody mess; but that wasn't the case.”

"You were there, standing in front of me, real as real could get; and I thought to myself, 'I don't think I could ever be this happy again'.”

"Oh how I was so wrong.”

"The endless amount of joy and happiness you have given me since that day surpasses anything I could have dreamed of. I never thought even once that I would fall this deeply on love with another person, but here we are. You never cease to baffle me, Kōtarō.”

"You saved me. You made me complete. And for that, no words or actions could ever be enough to thank you for that.”

"I love you so much, Kōtarō."

Akaashi finished with a beaming smile, ignoring the waterfall of tears as he gazed into the eyes of his beloved. It felt as though it was just the two of them, that the whole venue had disappeared around them as they stared with so much passion into each other's eyes.

"Well, it seems as though it's my turn again," the priest said, breaking the small bubble in between the two.

"Do you both pledge to share your lives openly with one another, and to speak the truth in love? Do you promise to honor and tenderly care for one another, cherish and encourage each other, stand together, through sorrows and joys, hardships and triumphs for all the days of your lives?"

Bokuto looked at Akaashi with a giddy smile on his face.

"We do."

"Do you pledge to share your love and the joys of your marriage with all those around you, so that they may learn from your love and be encouraged to grow in their own lives?"

Akaashi returned Bokuto's smile with one of his own, his heart beating uncontrollably in his chest.

"We do."

"Now for the rings."

Suga made his way to the altar yet again to hand Akaashi a small black velvet box. Likewise, Kuroo stepped forward to hand Bokuto his own black box. The two faced each other again, antsy with anticipation.

"Bokuto, please repeat after me."

"I Kōtarō Bokuto, promise to love and support you, Akaashi, and live each day with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this ring I wed," he repeated as the priest had told him to, carefully sliding the thin golden band onto Akaashi's slender finger.

"Akaashi, please repeat after me."

"I, Akaashi Keji, promise to love and support you Kōtarō and live each day with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this ring I thee wed," he said, reaching for Bokuto's hand just as he had done previously, sliding the gold band onto his left finger.

The two now held hands, both with smiles on their faces that could light up the world.

"It is my honor that I now pronounce you husband and husband," the priest said, slightly turning towards Bokuto. "You can kiss him now, I know you've been waiting patiently for this," he added on, chuckling at the child-like grin Bokuto adorned on his face.

In a moments notice, Bokuto grabbed Akaashi by the waist, spun him around, and dipped him.

"Here's to forever, 'Kaashi."

"Here's to forever."

The kissed they shared sealed their future, two beautiful souls finally bound together as one.

Hiiii I don't know if you've already done one like this, but who are your favorite fic writers? I always love your recs and I'd love to know who your favorites are so I can check them out! Also I love your fics!

hii! thank you so much for this ask I can’t believe I hadn’t though of doing this before!

most of these authors are people that I have talked with at least once before, and I can vouch for their character 1000%. reading their writing is so much more gratifying not only because it’s well written, but because of the satisfaction of knowing that they are truly good individuals as well. I am also thinking about doing one of these recs for artists and other content creators as well if anyone would be interested in that!

I'm in the middle of midterms right now so my brain is very scattered and I'm sure I’ve forgotten some people, but know that there is no way I could possibly list all of the wonderful authors that have made a difference in my life. but please check out these authors and leave them some love if you do! as always, please stick to your own interests and don’t spread any hate!

where do I start? the plots she comes up with are 10/10, the writing is absolutely amazing, and she’s just generally a wonderful and considerate person. you can just tell by reading her work how passionate she is about writing when you read her work. each and every one of her fics is a huge yes from me and I'm so excited to for all of her wips! and it definitely doesn’t hurt that she’s an amazing person in general either!

40. Part 4

Looking down at the crib watching Reign drink her milk, she is growing quick to be honest. I did prefer feeding her myself, but she is refusing to drink, she wants to hold her bubzy and her bottle all by herself. Reign is just staring at me and I am staring at her, she is here trying to be independent and I don’t like it “daddy misses feeding you” like where did she catch this from because literally in the morning I was feeding her, not tonight. She has seen her grandparents and is now acting brand new “I will wake up for her now ok” Nalah came back into the room “mhmm, well I moved the crib here for a reason, to be honest I can’t rest now. I rather do it” pouting at Reign “just sleep Maurice, then you can be in a better mood in the morning. She may actually sleep well tonight so this is a bonus” I could just watch her all day “thank god you put a baby grow on her, you are terrible. Like this roaming around in her diaper got to stop, she needs clothes” moving back from the crib “well she is me, if I am walking around in my boxers then she is walking around in her diaper so there is that. But I do appreciate you doing this for me, I have a lot to think about. Well dad wants to murder me first of all” Nalah sniggered “he does, never thought dad would want to do that to his favourite child but he does, I think he just wanted you to settle. That is it and you found it, then you ruined it so he is annoyed. So leave her now, you go and rest up. Also, Robyn posted a picture, you might want to snoop on that but leave her ok? Just let her do her thing” nodding my head “I will” looking down in the crib “goodnight Mi Amor, daddy will see you in the morning and we can do some fun things together” reaching down and stroking the side of her face, Reign moved her bottle away from her mouth ��no baby, you drink it” she is here offering it me “you are growing too quick relax for me, I love you” I better go to bed then “goodnight, and get me if you need anything” walking out of the bedroom, I need to rest actually.

Shit is weird now, rather lonely actually. Pulling my covers over my legs, let me catch up with my messages. My dad wants me to tell Robyn what to do, he wants me to tell her to move here like she would listen to me. But then I have to buy her a house, I need to discuss this with Wade. I would need to draw up real papers and discuss this, because if she switches up on me and doesn’t allow me to see Reign then I will have the paperwork to go by, I just need to arrange a meeting with him. Once Robyn has finished trying to annoy my life, I will talk to her then. Unlocking my phone and tapping on Instagram, social media is the devil, like I am only using it to stalk Robyn, I mean she called Odell a stalker, but I am doing the same. My feed loaded up and Leon has posted a selfie of himself, they are in Vegas now. I just find it funny, because I was supposed to go there and it’s like it was done on purpose, I am not sure. Tapping on his story, so Robyn got some new friends. Her and this girl are close to be honest, they are always in the background. The next story played “day two of my besties birthday, how we feeling?” Leon said and panned the camera to Robyn, she looked at the phone and then turned away “a mess, stop” I smiled, she is pretty without make up “we shall see if my friend drinks today, she had a pre-drink already so yeah, Jacob how are we feeling back there” Leon lifted his phone up, his little friend put a finger up, he is not amused “we could have taken the car!” he shouted and Leon cackled. The story ended, Robyn is drinking a lot like she is just drinking when she is not a heavy drinker, I don’t think anyways, scrolling down my feed. Ally is actually going out for once, I want to comment saying did I approve this, but I won’t ruin her mood, laughing to myself. Scrolling down, Bonita is posting selfies now, this Asian chick and Robyn are close like she is always there with her, reading the caption “a little makeup hid a lot” I read aloud, she don’t need makeup but I guess it is what it is because she will be having fun.

“Come on!!” Asia shouted, drinking some more water before I ran towards the door “I am so not ready for this, like I feel tired. So, where we going” I asked, Leon turned around “looking like a whole meal somewhere fancy, I got some tickets for 1Oak so we can party, I am glad you are drinking water. Keep it that way” I think I am going to keep it that way for a while, unless I am feeling myself which I will soon when I get there “do I look ok? I literally didn’t have the time to get a good dress out, this was so last minute, my boobs aren’t leaking, are they?” Leon looked at my dress “you barely have any but no” he is so annoying “would you like me take care of your phone for you? Don’t want no dike app happening?” I laughed shaking my head “fuck you! Like seriously, it was a mistake. I can’t even bring myself to text him back, I left him on a read. Like what the fuck do you say to him, like oh my god. I am shameful, I was begging for dick” Jacob pressed the elevator button “and? Luckily, he wasn’t in Cali or you would have been there, I just think better the devil you know. Clearly, he would have gave it, don’t be ashamed. But from now on, you are known as dike app because that was hilarious” the elevator doors opened “like honestly get that billionaire dick, nobody is judging that, girl I would too” Asia said, I just get somewhat freaky when I drink and I want dick but I think I will keep my phone to myself.

I swear we just walked by Scott Disick, I had to double take “oh ok, we did” I said to myself, Leon is always making us travel like where the fuck did he book us in, a table or what “come, come. Here we are” we have something to sit on, thank god. I am tired, sitting down on the seats and then looked up “so Leon just sat us across the hood niggas” that is great, there are so many of them and probably sharing one bottle “Leon said, you can only have that one glass” waving Jacob off “get me something more, tell him he ain’t my dad!” I shouted, Asia laughed “you have such good legs you know” she touched my leg, sipping my whiskey “I get that a lot, one time. This guy was trying to flirt with me and he goes I should be on a commercial with these legs, I said that was boring. Like come on, I want you to actively be like I want them legs around me, some guys are so lame” shaking my head “they are, I need you to be in my life more so I can find a man, the men just attract to you” bopping my head “baby! I like your style!” I sang with my drink in hand “I will get you a man, maybe one of those niggas across us” I laughed, Asia side eyed me.

Placing the blunt between my lips watching OT Genasis do his thing, I didn’t even know he was playing here tonight “I’m in love with the coco” I sang as I blew out the smoke from my lips “hit my plug that’s my cholo, aye!!” I laughed at Leon “If you snitching I go loco” me and Leon pointing at each other singing, Asia took the blunt from me. We having to share this one, she is running low on weed. Bopping my head “I’m in love with the coco” leaning down and picking my drink up, I am only having one shot in these, no double so I should be ok “Robyn!” Asia grabbed my arm, picking my drink up and turning to her. She pointed, seeing this guy stood in our section “what?” I said to her “he wants to speak to you” she said, I laughed “me? Why?” I looked at him, he is not ugly but still I have seen better. He stepped around Asia “my homie want to say you look good, why you ain’t come here to us” looking over to his homies “which one?” I questioned, I mean I am not going there actively but I am just asking “the one in the white tee” now he is even worse, I don’t think so “tell him, when each one of his homies can buy their own drink and not share one bottle maybe then” looking over at this guy, he just stared at me like I swore at his mom “so you been looking?” he questioned “hard to miss, anyways” turning around, he can tell his friend whatever the hell he want.

Downing my drink, placing the glass down “I am going” I said turning to Asia “where!?” she spat “hotel, I am not feeling too good. Stay, I am ok, the hotel is down the road. Tell Leon I am going, he has gone, see you back there” holding Asia’ arm as I stepped down “no, I will come with you. You can’t go, you’re tipsy” Asia grabbed her bag, I didn’t want her to come, the night is still young “we can text them” nodding my head, I do need someone actually. I think I drank more then I should have, Asia and I linked arms walking around the crowd “leaving me there for? Leon and Jacob make me feel like a third wheel, girl” I chuckled, oh my god I am feeling it right now “you wanted to go alone, you’re drunk again” I just laughed “mhmmm” I did drink more than I should, again “I need to pee, you come with? Or stay here?” I pointed at the wall “stay, I rather not” unlinking our arms and I went to the wall, leaning against it. Asia went to go and pee, lifting my bag up. Trying to find the zip “you waiting on someone?” looking up from my bag “no” I said frowning “you told my homie that I was broke, I am not broke” who is this guy “ok” I shrugged, I can’t open my bag and this is annoying me “let me” moving my hand away and he unzipped the bag for me, looking up and seeing him “oh the white tee man” I laughed “you need a drive back? You don’t need to be walking” shaking my head “I am fine, thanks” all I wanted was my phone “It’s not nice to call a man broke, I was just interested in you, but you are stuck up” is this guy going to keep on harassing me “then move! Clearly I am not interested in you and your broke friends” Asia finally came out “you will regret that” he said “kiss my ass” Asia frowned at him as she gestured we walk away.

I am so hungry “shall we find food? I am glad I met you” we both near fell and laughed “no, let’s not. Robyn you are dragging me everywhere!” Asia spat, “no we are not, we are going back to the hotel room!” Asia dragged me to the opposite side “mhmm, well I want food, I will go to bar” entering our hotel, letting Asia hand go “my heels need coming off” sitting on the floor “you can’t be doing that!” Asia laughed saying “I can” I said as I fumbled with the buckle “I am getting food here” I want food “well I am going back to the room, you will be ok here then?” nodding my head “just help me with this then you go” I am fine here.

Pulling a face now hearing my work phone ring, that is too much ringing, first my family phone and now my work phone and I can’t be bothered, I am trying to sleep here. Reaching over and grabbing my phone, squinting my eyes at the screen and it is Robyn calling me, my eyes widened at her calling me “hello” answering the phone, there was a long silence on the phone. I can hear the light chatter of people in the background, but I can hear Robyn on the other end of the phone “do you miss me?” she finally spoke, hearing Robyn’ voice in my ear, elegant but deeper than normal, if I close my eyes I can just picture her “you know I do” I replied back finally, Robyn hummed “Maurice” she said in a whisper “I..” she drifted off “I want you to come here, I want you. I want you to fly here and teach me a lesson. I have my legs out, my side boob showing, I want daddy to fuck me. I want you to wear a suit and meet me” I smirked, like I am not sure how to take this “where are you exactly?” I asked, like is she playing me “at a bar, I mean I could go back and ask the nigga that wanted me at the club but I want you” she wants me to come where “where?” I asked again “thank you for the drink, and could you tell my dick appointment where I am” Robyn said, what is she doing “you want me to tell them where you are?” some guy said, I frowned “tell Maurice Davenport where I am, tell him for me” this Robyn got me feeling a type of way “hello?” this random guy is on the phone “who are you?” I asked him “the bartender, she told me to speak to you. Are you really Maurice Davenport?” he spat, I can hear Robyn’ giggle in the background “he’s my dick appointment, tell him to hurry up” Robyn said “the lady here, she is at the bar in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas” is she now “what is she like to you? Is she drunk?” I asked him “erm, she is intoxicated yes, she is very pretty and is smoking and staring at me” nodding my head “bye” he said, Robyn is in Vegas I am here, what she want me to do “I am waiting, every thirty minutes I will be drinking, so the longer you take, the more drunk I become, you make anything happen so make it happen” she disconnected the call, is this even real right now.

Fixing my tie as I knocked on Nalah’ bedroom door, I mean I can make anything happen like having to take another private jet because mine is not ready “Nalah” knocking on the door again “can I come in?” she needs to hurry, she is wasting my time “yeah come in!” opening the door “what are you doing?” Nalah said in annoyance “I need to go to Vegas, it’s an emergency” I can’t see Nalah’ reaction from here but I am guessing she is not happy “why? Maurice, you have Reign here?” nodding my head “that I know but I have you here, I need to see Robyn. She needs me, it’s important so please. It’s not work it is Robyn so please look after her?” Nalah scoffed “sure, whatever she wants you for. Is that dick appointment thing happening then?” I shrugged “but I will be back” closing the door, I am wearing a suit like she wanted but if she is playing me, I will be so annoyed with her. If I could just run there I would, I can’t wait to see her. I mean she wants me so of course I am going, I was so concerned about her with the texting business and if she was ok but she called me drunk again but she is my master and I am the dog, I am going there. I should be there max five hours, but I hope the jet can get me there even quicker, I can only hope because she will be drinking for every thirty minutes I take.

Looking down at my Rolex and it’s been five hours, I am wondering if she is there or not but she is not answering my calls, maybe this is her way to make me come back I am here now “thank you” grabbing my bag and getting out of the SUV, I don’t have the time to be waiting for the driver to walk me I need to go, this is a nice hotel to be honest. Walking into the hotel lobby, I can’t wait to see her, I hope she is there still. I have missed her a lot, even though I am her dick appointment I rather be her dick appointment “your bar?” I asked the receptionist “which one?” I groaned out, of course there is like six of them, I am tired, and I have rushed here. Getting my phone out from my pocket “actually, can you find out where Robyn is. Ask your bar staff, ask them in every one of them. A lady that has been there for few hours, please” the lady smiled at me “for you sir” they know who the hell I am, I would always be around here. I sighed out heavily turning around, I am very much tired but for Robyn I guess “oh shit, what are you doing here!?” looking up seeing Leon “Maurice, don’t be angry with me” I am annoyed with him “mhmm right, so you lost Robyn?” I said, “oh is he the dike app?” some guy said “wow, you really Maurice Davenport, wow. Hi. I am Jacob, we were there through the texting. So, the demon summoned you here?” he said “she called me” Jacob laughed “she took my advice, that girl. I said to her have sex with your ex, better off that way anyways. Have fun, we are going. She is safe” the guy dragged Leon away “I am sorry Maurice!” Leon shouted “sir, she is in Clique Bar” turning around “thank you! Appreciate it, I will be back to book a room” let me go and get her.

The bar is quiet, I mean people have left to go to their rooms but there she is at the bar. I sighed out, she is really here, and she wasn’t lying about the side boob thing. I made a post like this last trailer and people appreciated it, so here we go again placing the scenes from the trailer onto the official map! Once again, I’m going to begin with the starting area:

We get several more looks at the red-roofed house and adjacent shed at the bottom of the map (the one with the Fletchling weathervane). Since it’s the only visible home close to yours (the yellow-roofed house) and the website describes Hop as your neighbor, it’s likely that this is where Hop lives (as well as where Leon probably once lived).

…okay, now that I’ve got your attention, here’s the specifics. The romances in this story are slow-burn and the story is very plot-heavy; the characters aren’t about to just start screwing on every available surface right off the bat. Aside from the eventual scenes of a sexual nature (some mild, some pretty explicit) the warning includes harsh language, occasional violence, sometimes gory violence, and several other sensitive themes. (Addiction, death, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, terminal illness, a disabled character, and much more.) There WILL be character deaths in this but no CANON deaths.

Character specs: This story features a mix of a few different ‘verses - the Paramount movies, the ‘03 series, the ‘07 CGI film, and in a couple cases, the hokey ‘90s movies. Appearances are predominantly Paramount with the exception of Casey…because Paramount Casey is SAD and SO against canon. Ugh. You will see themes from all those versions in different places and there will be places where the canon has been elaborated on or changed.

Efficient Link Reclamation: How to Speed Up & Scale Your Efforts

Link reclamation: Tools, tools everywhere

Every link builder, over time, starts to narrow down their favorite tactics and techniques. Link reclamation is pretty much my numero-uno. In my experience, it’s one of the best ROI activities we can use for gaining links particularly to the homepage, simply because the hard work — the "mention" (in whatever form that is) — is already there. That mention could be of your brand, an influencer who works there, or a tagline from a piece of content you’ve produced, whether it’s an image asset, video, etc. That’s the hard part. But with it done, and after a little hunting and vetting the right mentions, you’re just left with the outreach.

Aside from the effort-to-return ratio, there are various other benefits to link reclamation:

It’s something you can start right away without assets

It’s a low risk/low investment form of link building

Nearly all brands have unlinked mentions, but big brands tend to have the most and therefore see the biggest routine returns

If you’re doing this for clients, they get to see an instant return on their investment

Link reclamation isn’t a new tactic, but it is becoming more complex and tool providers are out there helping us to optimize our efforts. In this post, I’m going to talk a little about those tools and how to apply them to speed up and scale your link reclamation.

Finding mentions

Firstly, we want to find mentions. No point getting too fancy at this stage, so we just head over to trusty Google and search for the range of mentions we’re working on.

As I described earlier, these mentions can come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so I would generally treat each type of mention that I’m looking for as a separate project. For example, if Moz were the site I was working on, I would look for mentions of the brand and create that as one "project," then look for mentions of Followerwonk and treat that as another, and so on. The reasons why will become clear later on!

So, we head to the almighty Google and start our searches.

To help speed things up it’s best to expand your search result to gather as many URLs as you can in as few clicks as possible. Using Google’s Search Settings, you can quickly max out your SERPs to one hundred results, or you can install a plugin like GInfinity, which allows you to infinitely scroll through the results and grab as many as you can before your hand cramps up.

Now we want to start copying as many of these results as possible into an Excel sheet, or wherever it is you’ll be working from. Clicking each one and copying/pasting is hell, so another tool to quickly install for Chrome is Linkclump. With this one, you’ll be able to right click, drag, and copy as many URLs as you want.

Linkclump Pro Tip: To ensure you don’t copy the page titles and cache data from a SERP, head over to your Linkclump settings by right-clicking the extension icon and selecting "options." Then, edit your actions to include "URLs only" and "copied to clipboard." This will make the next part of the process much easier!

Filtering your URL list

Now we’ve got a bunch of URLs, we want to do a little filtering, so we know a) the DA of these domains as a proxy metric to qualify mentions, and b) whether or not they already link to us.

How you do this bit will depend on which platforms you have access to. I would recommend using BuzzStream as it combines a few of the future processes in one place, but URL Profiler can also be used before transferring your list over to some alternative tools.

Using BuzzStream

If you’re going down this road, BuzzStream can pretty much handle the filtering for you once you’ve uploaded your list of URLs. The system will crawl through the URLs and use their API to display Domain Authority, as well as tell you if the page already links to you or not.

The first thing you’ll want to do is create a "project" for each type of mention you’re sourcing. As I mentioned earlier this could be "brand mentions," "creative content," "founder mentions," etc.

When adding your "New Project," be sure to include the domain URL for the site you’re building links to, as shown below. BuzzStream will then go through and crawl your list of URLs and flag any that are already linking to you, so you can filter them out.

Next, we need to get your list of URLs imported. In the Websites view, use Add Websites and select "Add from List of URLs":

The next steps are really easy: Upload your list of URLs, then ensure you select "Websites and Links" because we want BuzzStream to retrieve the link data for us.

Once you’ve added them, BuzzStream will work through the list and start displaying all the relevant data for you to filter through in the Link Monitoring tab. You can then sort by: link status (after hitting "Check Backlinks" and having added your URL), DA, and relationship stage to see if you/a colleague have ever been in touch with the writer (especially useful if you/your team uses BuzzStream for outreach like we do at Builtvisible).

Using URL Profiler

If you’re using URL Profiler, firstly, make sure you’ve set up URL Profiler to work with your Moz API. You don’t need a paid Moz account to do this, but having one will give you more than 500 checks per day on the URLs you and the team are pushing through.

Then, take the list of URLs you’ve copied using Linkclump from the SERPs (I’ve just copied the top 10 from the news vertical for "moz.com" as my search), then paste the URLs in the list. You’ll need to select "Moz" in the Domain Level Data section (see screenshot) and also fill out the "Domain to Check" with your preferred URL string (I’ve put "Moz.com" to capture any links to secure, non-secure, alternative subdomains and deeper level URLs).

Once you’ve set URL Profiler running, you’ll get a pretty intimidating spreadsheet, which can simply be cut right down to the columns: URL, Target URL and Domain Mozscape Domain Authority. Filter out any rows that have returned a value in the Target URL column (essentially filtering out any that found an HREF link to your domain), and any remaining rows with a DA lower than your benchmark for links (if you work with one).

And there’s my list of URLs that we now know:

1) don’t have any links to our target domain,

2) have a reference to the domain we’re working on, and

3) boast a DA above 40.

Qualify your list

Now that you’ve got a list of URLs that fit your criteria, we need to do a little manual qualification. But, we’re going to use some trusty tools to make it easy for us!

The key insight we’re looking for during our qualification is if the mention is in a natural linking element of the page. It’s important to avoid contacting sites where the mention is only in the title, as they’ll never place the link. We particularly want placements in the body copy as these are natural link locations and so increase the likelihood of your efforts leading somewhere.

So from my list of URLs, I’ll copy the list and head over to URLopener.com (now bought by 10bestseo.com presumably because it’s such an awesome tool) and paste in my list before asking it to open all the URLs for me:

Now, one by one, I can quickly scan the URLs and look for mentions in the right places (i.e. is the mention in the copy, is it in the headline, or is it used anywhere else where a link might not look natural?).

When we see something like this (below), we’re making sure to add this URL to our final outreach list:

However, when we see this (again, below), we’re probably stripping the URL out of our list as there’s very little chance the author/webmaster will add a link in such a prominent and unusual part of the page:

The idea is to finish up with a list of unlinked mentions in spots where a link would fit naturally for the publisher. We don’t want to get in touch with everyone, with mentions all over the place, as it can harm your future relationships. Link building needs to make sense, and not just for Google. If you’re working in a niche that mentions your client, you likely want not only to get a link but also build a relationship with this writer — it could lead to 5 links further down the line.

Getting email addresses

Now that you’ve got a list of URLs that all feature your brand/client, and you’ve qualified this list to ensure they are all unlinked and have mentions in places that make sense for a link, we need to do the most time-consuming part: finding email addresses.

To continue expanding our spreadsheet, we’re going to need to know the contact details of the writer or webmaster to request our link from. To continue our theme of efficiency, we just want to get the two most important details: email address and first name.

Getting the first name is usually pretty straightforward and there’s not really a need to automate this. However, finding email addresses could be an entirely separate article in itself, so I’ll be brief and get to the point. Read this, and here’s a summary of places to look and the tools I use:

More recently, we’ve been also using Skrapp.io. It’s a LinkedIn extension (like Hunter.io) that installs a "Find Email" button on LinkedIn with a percentage of accuracy. This can often be used with Mail Tester to discover if the suggested email address provided is working or not.

It’s likely to be a combination of these tools that helps you navigate finding a contact’s email address. Once we have it, we need to get in touch — at scale!

Pro Tip: When using Allmytweets, if you’re finding that searches for "email" or "contact" aren’t working, try "dot." Usually journalists don’t put their full email address on public profiles in a scrapeable format, so they use "me@gmail [dot] com" to get around it.

Making contact

So, because this is all about making the process efficient, I’m not going to repeat or try to build on the other already useful articles that provide templates for outreach (there is one below, but that’s just as an example!). However, I am going to show you how to scale your outreach and follow-ups.

Mail merges

If you and your team aren’t set in your ways with a particular paid tool, your best bet for optimizing scale is going to be a mail merge. There are a number of them out there, and honestly, they are all fairly similar with either varying levels of free emails per day before you have to pay, or they charge from the get-go. However, for the costs we’re talking about and the time it saves, building a business case to either convince yourself (freelancers) or your finance department (everyone else!) will be a walk in the park.

I’ve been a fan of Contact Monkey for some time, mainly for tracking open rates, but their mail merge product is also part of the $10-a-month package. It’s a great deal. However, if you’re after something a bit more specific, YAMM is free to a point (for personal Gmail accounts) and can send up to 50 emails a day.

You’ll likely need to work through the process with the whatever tool you pick but, using your spreadsheet, you’ll be able to specify which fields you want the mail merge to select from, and it’ll insert each element into the email.

For link reclamation, this is really as personable as you need to get — no lengthy paragraphs on how much you loved [insert article related to my infographic] or how long you’ve been following them on Twitter, just a good old to the point email:

Although BuzzStream’s mail merge options are pretty similar to the process above, the best "above and beyond" feature that BuzzStream has is that you can schedule in follow up emails as well. So, if you didn’t hear back the first time, after a week or so their software will automatically do a little follow-up, which in my experience, often leads to the best results.

When you’re ready to start sending emails, select the project you’ve set up. In the "Websites" section, select "Outreach." Here, you can set up a sequence, which will send your initial email as well as customized follow-ups.

Using the same extremely brief template as above, I’ve inserted my dynamic fields to pull in from my data set and set up two follow up emails due to send if I don’t hear back within the next 4 days (BuzzStream hooks up with my email through Outlook and can monitor if I receive an email from this person or not).

Each project can now use templates set up for the type of mention you’re following up. By using pre-set templates, you can create one for brand mention, influencers, or creative projects to further save you time. Good times.

Hotaru (first draft is finished)

- Abt two men that are linked through a surgery called “synchronisation”, which basically connects their minds and bodies, so they are forced to work as a team. Ea is an ex-soldier and Cain was a hacker, but due to the fact that they can’t stand each other, they also didn’t share their pasts with each other. To pay someone to unlink them, they become bounty hunters and kidnap the girl Ai and her robot Subaru, which is one of the old military robots, called Hotarus (high technologised, operating, transforming, artificial intelligence, ranger units). They are connected to a human ranger and can transform into what the ranger wants them to transform into.

The Hotaru headquarters exploded 10 years ago and since then the Hotarus are super rare on the black market.

The two men plan on selling both the girl and her robot and let’s just say it all doesn’t work out that well.

The day the world turned white ( first draft is finished, working on it)

To stop global warming some scientists basically caused a new ice age. On the long run this might be very effective but the former countries, now sectors, are hit by strong ice storms, called snow white. To stay safe huge bunkers, the Safe Cities, were built and the local fauna and flora were stored in Arks, to preserve them.

Usually an alarm sounds before all citizens are brought into the SCs, but this time Reese and her best friend Yuki dont manage to get to the vehicles on time and are left behind. They seek shelter in a private bunker outside of town that Yuki found out about recently. Suddenly a group of boys their age knocks on the door, because they were also left behind and followed the girls.

Al, the brothers Eli and Isaac, Gil and Henry become the new bunker-mates and the group has to survive one year in the bunker, until the storm is over.

Some day Keerie falls in love with Navy, the daughter of the owner of the local Aquapark (that the clan suspect also does illegal stuff like snatching wild animals).

The script for a shortfilm i once made with my friends. A school class has a plane crash and only a few students survive, they all embody a different character archetype (the sunshine, the soziopath, the smart one etc.) They try to survive and are put through weird psychological mind experiments like the trolley problem.

To be honest, the concept had and still has a lot of potential and we just hadn’t the opportunities to rly set it the way we anticipated. The shooting day was super fun, though! Still laughing about the outtakes

Astral Chronicles (some art and a few chapters, unfinished)

A story Idea i still like but probably wont write like this because of copyright problems. Its basically a giant Crossover.

Its abt people who have an Astral( mostly a literature figure) they embody when they are dreaming. Their body stays in bed and is vulnerable but the Astral can basivally run around and has special powers. If the Astral dies, the person wakes up but i think when the body dies the person dies too? idk.

The Protagonist embodies Alice and there are also the White Rabbit, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell usw.

There was also some kind of conflict? I dont remember.

If i would ever rewrite it the Astrals would be embodiments of the Zodiac signs.

Actually super interesting but too many charas and a too tiny will to draw action scenes or write them.

Like its based around a super popular game in huge spheres/buildings and the teams wear some anti gravity outfits and shoes and can walk on the walls and shit and can basically attack using elements/illusion/ conjure monsters idk.

And the main team had an opponent team that basically specialized in the 25272 other elements and some day they just fused teams idk.

There also was some prophecy shit abt the anchors, ppl that can control all elements the same???? Idk

Everything you need to know about Facebook’s data breach affecting 50M users

Facebook is cleaning up after a major security incident exposed the account data of millions of users. What’s already been a rocky year after the Cambridge Analytica scandal, the company is scrambling to regain its users trust after another security incident exposed user data.

Here’s everything you need to know so far.

What happened?

Facebook says at least 50 million users’ data were confirmed at risk after attackers exploited a vulnerability that allowed them access to personal data. The company also preventively secure 40 million additional accounts out of an abundance of caution.

What data were the hackers after?

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the company has not seen any accounts compromised and improperly accessed — although it’s early days and that may change. But Zuckerberg said that the attackers were using Facebook developer APIs to obtain some information, like “name, gender, and hometowns” that’s linked to a user’s profile page.

What data wasn’t taken?

Facebook said that it looks unlikely that private messages were accessed. No credit card information was taken in the breach, Facebook said. Again, that may change as the company’s investigation continues.

What’s an access token? Do I need to change my password?

When you enter your username and password on most sites and apps, including Facebook, your browser or device is set an access tokens. This keeps you logged in, without you having to enter your credentials every time you log in. But the token doesn’t store your password — so there’s no need to change your password.

Is this why Facebook logged me out of my account?

Yes, Facebook says it reset the access tokens of all users affected. That means some 90 million users will have been logged out of their account — either on their phone or computer — in the past day. This also includes users on Facebook Messenger.

When did this attack happen?

The vulnerability was introduced on the site in July 2017, but Facebook didn’t know about it until this month, on September 16, 2018, when it spotted a spike in unusual activity. That means the hackers could have had access to user data for a long time, as Facebook is not sure right now when the attack began.

Who would do this?

Facebook doesn’t know who attacked the site, but the FBI is investigating, it says.

However, Facebook has in the past found evidence of Russia’s attempts to meddle in American democracy and influence our elections — but it’s not to say that Russia is behind this new attack. Attribution is incredibly difficult and takes a lot of time and effort. It recently took the FBI more than two years to confirm that North Korea was behind the Sony hack in 2016 — so we might be in for a long wait.

How did the attackers get in?

Not one, but three bugs led to the data exposure.

In July 2017, Facebook inadvertently introduced three vulnerabilities in its video uploader, said Guy Rosen, Facebook’s vice president of product management, in a call with reporters. When using the “View As” feature to view your profile as someone else, the video uploader would occasionally appear when it shouldn’t display at all. When it appeared, it generated an access token using the person who the profile page was being viewed as. If that token was obtained, an attacker could log into the account of the other person.

Is the problem fixed?

Facebook says it fixed the vulnerability on September 27, and then began resetting the access tokens of people to protect the security of their accounts.

Did this affect WhatsApp and Instagram accounts?

Facebook said that it’s not yet sure if Instagram accounts are affected, but were automatically secured once Facebook access tokens were revoked. Affected Instagram users will have to unlink and relink their Facebook accounts in Instagram in order to cross post to Facebook.

On a call with reporters, Facebook said there is no impact on WhatsApp users at all.

What Instagram users need to know about Facebook’s security breach

Are sites that use Facebook Login also affected?

If an attacker obtained your Facebook access token, it not only gives them access to your Facebook account as if they were you, but any other site that you’ve used Facebook to login with, like dating apps, games, or streaming services.

Will Facebook be fined or punished?

If Facebook is found to have breached European data protection rules — the newly implemented General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — the company can face fines of up to four percent of its global revenue.

However, that fine can’t be levied until Facebook knows more about the nature of the breach and the risk to users.

Another data breach of this scale – especially coming in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal and other data leaks – has some in Congress calling for the social network to be regulated. Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) issued a stern reprimand to Facebook over today’s news, and again pushed his proposal for regulating companies holding large data sets as ““information fiduciaries” with additional consequences for improper security.

FTC Commissioner Rohit Chopra also tweeted that “I want answers” regarding the Facebook hack. It’s reasonable to assume that there could be investigators in both the U.S. and Europe to figure out what happened.

Can I check to see if my account was improperly accessed?

You can. Once you log back into your Facebook account, you can go to your account’s security and login page, which lets you see where you’ve logged in. If you had your access tokens revoked and had to log in again, you should see only the devices that you logged back in with.

Should I delete my Facebook account?

That’s up to you! But you may want to take some precautions like changing your password and turning on two-factor authentication, if you haven’t done so already. If you’re weren’t impacted by this, you may want to take the time to delete some of the personal information you’ve shared to Facebook to reduce your risk of exposure in future attacks, if they were to occur.

Common Guest Blogging Challenges & How to Solve Them

Building links via guest blogging comes with many challenges, including:

Finding blogs to guest post for.

Coming up with unique article ideas.

Getting accepted by top-tier publications.

Before tackling any of these, however, the first thing you should take into consideration is the quality of your content.

If your article is of bad quality, it would never:

Get accepted by top blogs.

Get published for free.

Attract any backlinks.

Send referral traffic.

Pass “manual review.”

A successful guest blogging and link building campaign begins with quality content, so that should be your primary focus.

How to Never Run Out of Blogs to Guest Post for

Searching for relevant blogs to guest post for is difficult in itself. The typical process goes like this:

Create a big list of search queries for blog prospecting.

Typical search queries include “guest post”, “guest post opportunities”, “submit blog post”, etc.

Scrape Google search results for all these search queries.

Merge everything into one list and remove duplicate entries.

Pull important SEO metrics for each URL (blog).

Doing all of this manually can be inconvenient and time-consuming.

Solution

Using Ahrefs’ Content Explorer tool, finding blogs to guest post for can be made easier. The tool has a total content index size of almost 1 billion pages.

When you enter your “niche” keyword into the tool, you’ll find thousands of similar articles for your chosen topic which you can export conveniently (no scraping required).

Content Explorer lets you filter your results according to your needs.

If you want to see the unique blogs that contain your keyword, you only need to check the One article per domain box.

You may also sort the results according to Publish Date, Language, Shares, Domain Rating, Referring Domains, Organic Traffic, and Number of Words.

Domain Rating (DR) is Ahrefs’ metric that indicates the backlink popularity of a certain website on a scale of zero to 100.

You might think that you should only guest post for high-DR blogs, but that’s not always the case.

Low-DR blogs are not necessarily toxic. Instead, they’re probably either new or unpopular at the moment. Smaller blogs will eventually grow into big ones so they might still be worth the effort.

Blogs with DR 30-40 is a sweet spot to start from because they:

Get less guest post pitches than higher-DR blogs.

Have lower editorial standards (easy to get accepted).

Are perfect for building up your portfolio of published articles.

It’s important to note that the first link from a website (generally) brings the most value. While every subsequent link from the same website is less valuable.

In other words: “The more unique websites are linking to you, the better.”

Ahrefs’ Content Explorer has a Highlight unlinked domains feature that will help you find websites that have never linked to your website.

So, How Do You Know That These Newly-Found Blogs Actually Allow Guest Posts?

You don’t always need to look for blogs that specifically say that they accept guest articles.

If your content is awesome, almost any blog will accept it regardless if they have a Write for Us page or if they don’t have it.

Simply put, pitch your article ideas to all relevant blogs that you’ll find. (If the quality is there – they’ll take it!)

How to Create More Quality Guest Articles in Less Time

It is pretty hard to come up with great articles ideas and scale when you want to contribute unique content to a lot of different blogs.

But Soulo offers three guest blogging techniques that can help you with this dilemma:

The Robin Hood Technique.

The Splintering Technique.

The Perspective Technique.

1. The Robin Hood Technique

Implementing this tactic entails “stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.”

In this case, blogs with a DR of 71 and above are considered the”rich” guys.

Stealing from the “rich” does not mean you can rightfully search for popular posts then copy and paste them in your website.

What you should do is get your inspiration from popular articles from high-DR blogs in your niche, identify what makes them popular, but write your own article from scratch.

2. The Splintering Technique

You might end up with a “hero” article that is too good to just give away. But you can still use this as a basis for your guest posts.

A well-researched, hero article will often consist of chapters/sub-sections. If you have a post covering a big topic in detail, you can break those into several “splinter” articles for guest blogging purposes.

When writing a hero article, you often need to adjust and make your sub-sections fairly short so you won’t overwhelm people with extra information.

In the splintering technique, you turn your “hero” article’s sub-sections into full-fledged articles and dive deep into the topic.

Because you already did all your research while writing that big monster piece for your own blog, it should be super easy to churn those splinter articles super quick.

After turning each sub-section into individual posts, you can then submit them to other blogs that would publish it as guest articles. Each of your these would then link back to your hero article.

This tactic is an amazing way to get quality and super relevant links.

3. The Perspective Technique

A slight change of perspective leads to a whole new (and unique) article.

You can get one of the chapters from your hero post and turn it into several guest articles just by a slight change of perspective.

For instance, if your topic is “The Future of Link Building”, you can come up with several other articles just by adapting the theme to a particular niche.

These three techniques work incredibly well when combined.

How to Vastly Improve Your Guest Blogging Results

Here are two tips for you to get the maximum value from your guest blogging efforts.

Pitch More Blogs Than You Can Handle

You should generate more demand than you can supply as this puts you in a position where you can choose between available options.

Make blog owners crave for your guest articles by:

Coming up with 2-3 article ideas (good ones).

Pitching them to 10-15 blogs (in 5-7 days).

Just in case two or more bloggers request the same article idea from you, tell them:

“Sorry, you weren’t responding for a few days, so this article idea was taken by another blog.

But don’t worry, I’m sure I can suggest something else for you that will be just as good.

I’ll be in touch with more article ideas shortly.”

Link to Your Older Guest Articles from the New Ones

Quite often the blog owners are greedy for self-promotional links. But they don’t mind if you link out elsewhere.

Link out to your older guest articles, to create a “tiered” link structure (and “pump” the links that you already have).

Make sure to let the blog owner know, that you’ve landed them a high-quality backlink.

1. Alone on Valentine’s Day (214 words)

Taekwoon sat against the wall at the ramen restaurant, huffing as he glared at all the couples giggling around mouthfuls of noodles. Singles deserved better than watching couples be couple-y on Valentine’s Day, and Taekwoon was over it already.

When his ramen came, and let’s face it, if he was alone on Valentine’s Day, he might as well order two bowls, Taekwoon dug in, steam heating his face against the chill of the opening door.

The man who walked in was tall, around Taekwoon’s own height, and the thing that made Taekwoon immediately like him was the fact that he didn’t come in with anyone. He did, however, sit next to Taekwoon, which was a negative.

“Girlfriend ditch you?” the man asked suddenly, staring at the two bowls in front of Taekwoon. Taekwoon just glared at him and pulled both bowls closer, making a show of eating a huge mouthful of noodles before turning his head away.

“Okay, okay, I’m sorry,” the man said. “I’m Wonshik, who are you?”

“Taekwoon,” he mumbled around his noodles.

Wonshik smiled. “I figured, since we’re the only two singles in here, we should band together. Fight the masses.”

Taekwoon stared for a moment longer before passing his second bowl of noodles to Wonshik.

“I like how you think.”

2. A long-awaited return (214 words)

Taekwoon bit at the edges of his nails, tearing bits of skin off while he tapped his foot, concentrating hard on the doors in front of him. Wonshik had been gone for three weeks, working with artists in LA and helping with the recording of an album, and Taekwoon missed his husband. Immensely.

His plane had supposedly landed half an hour ago, but there was still no sign of any of the passengers making their way to baggage claim, and no text from Wonshik saying that he had made it through customs, even though he promised he would.

“Excuse me, sir,” he felt a tap on his shoulder accompanied by a deep voice. Taekwoon whipped around and through his arms around the man, clutching at his back.

“I’ve missed you,” Wonshik whispered in his ear, hugging him even tighter. “I recognized your back from across the airport. As soon as I spotted you, I power-walked over here.” He pulled back from Taekwoon and gave him a large smile. “Seriously, never again.”

Taekwoon nodded and sniffed a little, holding back his feelings at seeing his husband again. “Let’s get you home.”

He grabbed Wonshik’s hand and pulled him toward the exit. It took them two minutes to realize they left his luggage on the carousel.

3. Cupid & his target (213 words)

Wonshik has always believed in true love, and always believed that everyone deserves to find that one person who would make them happy for the rest of their life. Looking back on this now, that might be why he became a cupid upon his death.

“Jung Taekwoon,” Wonshik murmured to himself, squinting at the next name in his Cupid Book. “And he’s currently… in a bar. Good.” He teleported himself to the outside of the bar, making sure not be seen by any mortals, then quickly stepped inside.

Wonshik instantly zeroed in on the piano player playing the live music, his head bent forward to squint at the music in front of him. His immediate thought was that those cheekbones could kill a man, and his second thought was more than just a thought, it was an intense feeling he could almost drown in. Desire.

Without meaning to, Wonshik found his feet taking him to the bar, coming behind the man as he took a break for some water. His hand reached out on its own and gently touched Taekwoon’s shoulder, who jumped slightly as he turned.

“Hello?” he asked, his voice soft.

Wonshik licked his lips. “You-you play beautifully.”

“Thanks,” he received a shy smile in return.

I’m doomed, Wonshik thought. Doomed.

4. Arts and crafts together (212 words)

“Why did we decide this was a good idea again?” Taekwoon asked, his paintbrush in one hand and a glass filled to the top with wine in the other. He squinted at the person at the front of the room demonstrating how to mix the paint for the exact shade required for the leaves. Taekwoon looked back at his painting and sighed. His tree looked nothing like a tree.

“Come on, it’s fun!” Wonshik said, nudging him slightly with his elbow as he added a little more brown paint to the green. “Besides, it was my turn deciding what to do for our date night. I’ve missed art. I used to be quite good, you know?”

Taekwoon rolled his eyes and took up his paintbrush again, mixing the paint with his brush until the bristles were entirely soaked, making Wonshik wince.

“Taekwoon,” he started, grabbing his boyfriend’s wrist. “You’re doing it wrong. You’re only supposed to get the tip wet.” Wonshik stopped talking at the accidental innuendo. “Nevermind,” he mumbled to himself.

“Sorry,” Taekwoon said, taking a big gulp of wine. “I just suck.” He then proceeded to paint the worst leaves imaginable.

At the end of the date, when they were back home, Wonshik proudly hung both paintings on the wall.

5. Put your heart into it! Literally. (214 words)

“Are you ready?” Wonshik asked quietly as they stood, hand-in-hand, in front of the swinging doors of the hospital. Taekwoon nodded once, gaze determined as they strode inside, hands still firmly clasped. They walked up to the desk in the waiting room and stood, frozen, waiting for the nurse to notice them.

“How can I help you?” she asked, peering over her glasses at the two of them. They glanced at each other.

“Um…” Taekwoon started before gathering up his courage. “We are here for our appointment with Dr. Hwang for our half-heart transfer.”

The nurse nodded and called someone on the phone. It wasn’t long before a doctor came to see them. They both put on hospital gowns and sat quietly, still gripping hands, until the doctor came back in, carrying two clipboards.

“Now,” he said, “I know you have already signed a bunch of paperwork, but this is one last thing you have to go through before we can get on with the surgery.”

The doctor didn’t need to tell them twice before they read and signed the papers, hearts beating faster with thoughts of what was to come.

“I can’t wait for part of me to be with you forever,” Wonshik whispered to Taekwoon as they were fixed with IVs.

“Same.”

6. Accidental Valentines (211 words)

Somehow, every year since debut, they found themselves spending February 14th alone, together. Usually it was in the company building, where Wonshik would find Taekwoon in his own workroom, practicing the piano or composing, headphones secure around his head. One year it was in the dorm, when a bad snowstorm encouraged the two to stay inside while the other four had a schedule. They watched a movie together then went back to doing their own thing.

“Here,” Taekwoon said, thrusting a box toward Wonshik, who just looked at him over his laptop with a raised eyebrow. “This is for you.”

“You know it’s not my birthday until tomorrow, right Taekwoon-hyung?” he asked. “I mean, you’re not that old yet.”

Taekwoon’s cheeks just pinked and he put his hands in his pockets once Wonshik had grabbed the box. “Just open it.”

Wonshik did, pulling on the ribbon that was tied artfully, unlike anything Taekwoon could do normally. He opened the box and glanced up, confused.

“We’ve spent the past 5 Valentine’s Days accidentally spending time together without anyone else,” Taekwoon said toward the floor. “I figured I might as well…” he trailed off.

Wonshik just smiled and plopped a chocolate into his mouth.

“Sure, hyung,” Wonshik said, teasingly. “I’ll be your Valentine.”

7. A Valentine’s Day confession/proposal (214 words)

“Do you know what day it is today?” Wonshik asked Taekwoon as they were eating dinner. Whenever they had time, around their busy work schedules, they would try and cook and eat together.

“It’s Valentine’s Day,” Taekwoon deadpanned, rolling his eyes.

“Yes,” Wonshik said, slapping at Taekwoon’s hand as he reached over for some of the food on his plate, “but it’s also our 2000th day together. Coincidentally.”

“Yes, I know,” Taekwoon said, raising an eyebrow. “And what’s your point? It’s just another day. We didn’t do anything for our 100th day, or our 500th day, or 1000th, or any other big milestones.”

“Yeah, yeah, I get it, we suck. But come on, 2000 days is huge.”

“So what do you want to do?” Taekwoon asked. “We have, oh let’s see, 4 hours left in the day and we are both homebodies. We don’t like to do anything.”

“Let’s get married,” Wonshik said quickly.

Taekwoon just raised an eyebrow. “I think all the government buildings are closed by this point of the day.”

Wonshik blinked in surprise. “You aren’t going to say anything else?” he asked.

“No, let’s get married,” Taekwoon replied. “Obviously not today, but soon. Definitely soon.”

Wonshik leaned over and planted a kiss on Taekwoon’s lips.

“Love you.”

“Love you more.”

8. Serenade Me, my Valentine (212 words)

“You know,” Wonshik said, linking his arm through Taekwoon’s as they walked through the door of their apartment building, “There are only, let’s see, 25 minutes left of Valentine’s Day, and I still have yet to hear you sing for me.”

Taekwoon brought up a hand and patted his cheek several times, the last one a little closer to a slap. “I never promised you anything like that.” He gripped the skin on his boyfriend’s cheek and tugged slightly. Wonshik retaliated by licking his hand.

“You said last night that you hadn’t bought me a gift for Valentine’s and that you would do whatever I wanted, and I want you to sing for me.”

Taekwoon groaned and unlinked their arms. “Can’t I just do that tomorrow?”

“Stop,” Wonshik said, slapping him lightly in the stomach. “Besides, tomorrow is my birthday and I expect a different present then. Come on, Taekwoon,” he said, staring at him in a jokingly sensual way as he licked his lips. “Serenade me.”

“Row, row, row your boat gently down the-” he was cut off by Wonshik’s lips and a strong tap to the side of his hip.

“Anything else,” he said, laughing. Taekwoon leaned in for one more kiss before starting again, this time getting it right.

9. A ruined Valentine’s day (214 words)

“What… is this?” Taekwoon asked, standing in their destroyed kitchen. There were pots and pans everywhere, and not an inch of the counter or table was clear. There was also an undefinable splat of some kind of food on the wall that used to be white, but now looked brown with how much it had smeared when it had attempted to have been wiped away.

“I’m so sorry, babe,” Wonshik replied from where he was, laying on the floor. “I really tried to clean this up before you got home, but then I got distracted and I couldn’t clean the stain off the walls and this is our new apartment and we won’t get our deposit back and then I started panicking and-” he cut himself off when Taekwoon sat on his stomach leaning forward for a kiss.

“It’s okay, Wonshik,” he said when he pulled back. “I’ll clean.”

“No, Taekwoon, it’s okay. I’ll clean it up. It’s Valentine’s Day and I was trying to make you dinner, and chocolate, because you always do all the cooking around here and you love chocolate, but I… suck,” Wonshik said, pouting. “Sorry.”

Taekwoon just leaned down for another kiss. “Come on,” he said. “Get up and I’ll order take-out. We can clean this all up later.”

10. A forbidden love (213 words)

The first time Kim Wonshik, high warlock of Jamsil-dong, laid eyes on Jung Taekwoon, he didn’t even notice the marks on his skin signifying he was a shadowhunter; he noticed his intense eyes and the strength in his body as he moved across the room, bow trained on a demon. Now that he thinks back on it, that probably should have given it away. And oh yeah, he found him ridiculously attractive.

Shadowhunters and warlocks, historically, didn’t get along. The shadowhunter community never approved of any downworlder, even if they worked with the clave without complaint. But Taekwoon, and his parabatai Hakyeon, and the other young adults in the Seoul institute didn’t seem to have the same prejudices as the older generation.

“Would you like to come over for drinks sometime?” Wonshik asked, having worked up the courage for weeks just to ask one simple question.

Taekwoon gave a small smile before glancing back at the other shadowhunters who were still cleaning the street of evidence of any battle that had just occurred.

“Yes… I would like that. But…”

“I understand,” Wonshik said. “For now, it’s a secret.”

Taekwoon gave him another smile, a little wider this time, and turned back to his duties. Wonshik grinned to himself as he portaled back home.

11. Secret love letters (214 words)

Taekwoon sighed when he looked in his locker, finding the 8th note that month stuffed between his notebook and his shoes. He grabbed it tight in his hand while he slipped on his shoes, making sure to toss it in the garbage on his way out of the school.

It’s not that he didn’t like Valentine’s Day, he just didn’t like secret admirers, thinking that people should just confess their love. Not that he ever would, as he was gay as anything and didn’t want to ask someone out and find out that they were straight and a douchebag who would then proceed to out him to the entire school. Besides, he just wanted to focus on playing soccer.

When Valentine’s Day actually came around, Taekwoon was very happy to find that there was nothing in his locker, even if he was a little upset there wasn’t any free chocolate from his admirer.

“Hey, Taekwoon-hyung,” a voice called from behind.

“Yeah?” he asked while turning, Wonshik coming up to him from behind.

“Here,” Wonshik said, thrusting out a small box. “I figured I should give these to you myself instead of just putting it in your locker. You like chocolate, right?”

Taekwoon nodded as he took the chocolates.

“So, are you free this Saturday?”

12. A very scary Valentine’s Day (213 words)

Wonshik knew he shouldn’t have let his friends convince him to do this. A night alone in an abandoned house was enough to make even the bravest of people wet their pants, and Wonshik was a coward. But, a promise was a promise and he couldn’t back out now.

The first four hours went by quickly. Wonshik played on his phone and ignored the creaking of the house, and the loud wind. However on the fifth hour mark, things started to go wrong.

It started with his phone suddenly going blank and restarting, which was accompanied by a soft voice singing. At first, Wonshik assumed it was coming from his phone, that he accidentally pressed play when fumbling his phone, but that thought quickly left his head when he remembered his phone was in the process of rebooting. That’s when he started to panic.

“Hello?” he asked warily, voice barely above a whisper. “Is anyone there?”

The singing stopped abruptly and after a few moments the soft voice spoke back. “Can you… can you hear me?”

“Yeah, where are you?”

Suddenly a form appeared in front of him, and Wonshik screamed, startling the man who just appeared.

“No, no, it’s okay, my name is Taekwoon. Who are you?”

“I’m Wonshik.”

The man smiled.

13. “Dance with me?” (214 words)

Wonshik held his hand out, a smirk set across his face.

“Dance with me?” he asked Taekwoon, who just rolled his eyes back into his head, snorting not so elegantly. But he stood up anyway, grabbing the hand.

“Just letting you know that if it wasn’t required by basically everyone here tonight,” Taekwoon started, grabbing onto Wonshik’s waist, “I would just stay seated here, sulking.”

Wonshik laughed before kissing him deeply, smirking at the slightly dazed look in Taekwoon’s eyes when he pulled back.

“Come on,” he said, leaning toward Taekwoon’s ear. “It is our wedding, after all. Our moms would kill us if we didn’t dance at least once.”

“Well, we can’t have that, can we?” Taekwoon asked before he leaned his head on the shoulder in front of him, both arms circling around his husband’s waist.

They stood there for a while, softly moving in time to the music. Eventually, other people joined them on the dance floor, their moves a little more excited than the newly married couple’s. After a few songs, they made their way off the dance floor and walked around the room, hand-in-hand, trying to thank all their guests for coming.

“One last dance?” Wonshik asked when their guests started leaving, the hour late.

Taekwoon smiled. “Of course.”

14. February 15th: The Aftermath (212 words)

“Who… are you?” Wonshik asked the man in his bed blankly. The last thing he remembered was his (ex-) girlfriend slapping him when he said he wasn’t planning on proposing to her, and she left him alone at the bar. At no point does he remember meeting this man.

The man gave him a soft smile. “My name’s Taekwoon. I figured you’d be a bit confused this morning, but I couldn’t just leave you alone when you were so drunk…” he trailed off and mumbled a bit.

“Did we… sleep together?” Wonshik asked, voice going a little high at the end. The man – Taekwoon – rubbed at his nose a little and grimaced.

“Yeah, sorry, I was pretty drunk too and I don’t think we made great decisions, but hopefully I can make this up to you?” he asked. “I made you food.”

“Thanks, I guess,” Wonshik said before he got his first good look of the man. He was handsome, and honestly exactly Wonshik’s type. He could tell why he decided to go home with him.

“You can stay, Taekwoon,” he spoke up suddenly. “We can get to know each other.”

Taekwoon left three days later with a new number programmed in his phone and a new boyfriend to call his own.
