I need more roleplay partners

This is an active attempt at making people want to roleplay with me, because I just need more active ones, other than the one that I currently have (they're irreplaceable for sure!)

Now, my main genres are romance (usually the base), fantasy, action, medieval, sci-fi, gore, even angst, just no slice of life. I accept anything MxM, FxF, NBxNB, FxNB, MxNB, shipping OCs is cool, I really lean into the fantasy aspect with my OCs, but I mainly ship specific things from fandoms (I am quite sure that you will recognise at least one of these, trust me). I find gore completely fine and I come for drama, as long as it doesn't come out of nowhere. I write in a weird mix between semi-lit and literate. If I keep myself short, I either don't know what to write or I am preoccupied with something else at the moment. 18+ stuff is good too, I am 20 (I am a pure bottom, but not all that I roleplay is submissive, most of them stand their ground quite well). I am a very creative person, who will most likely find a plot in anything, so if you want to add things aswell, just let me know! My timezone is MET (Middle European Time), which mean that I am German.

EGX

on October 12th, we visited the EGX expo in London. I was very surprised to see companies such as Nintendo and Sega, and even Five Nights At Freddy’s which does not frequently appear with official stores in person. The event was also sponsored by Tiktok and there were a lot of banners and promotions for it. The Five Nights At Freddy’s van have out free pizza, which i wasn’t aware of, i thought the pizza would be overpriced but it was completely free. although the queues, again, were also long. I can agree with the long queues for this though since FNAF doesn’t appear for real events very often. This van was here to promote the Five Nights At Freddy’s movie that releases October 25th.

The Nintendo area was in the middle and it was quite large, the area has multiple consoles set up where you can play Super Mario Wonder. This game hasn’t released yet, it releases on October 20th 2023 so i was also surprised to see it there and got to play it before it even released. I played it with a friend. we also got free paperhats afterwards which i loved. there were lots of people walking around with paper mario hats. We didn’t play this early on when we arrived because the queues were quite long. They also had displays of the Nintendo Switch OLED model which i thought was cool, i had never seen one before.

They also had costume performers of Mario and Luigi which i thought was fun. I didn’t end up taking a photo more closely because the lines for it were also long, but they were walking around the event too.

There was also an area for Persona 5 Tactica, a spin-off game for Persona 5 which is also yet to release. I really wanted to play this, but i unfortunately didn’t because the queues even towards the end of the day were very long. Although the lines for Persona 3 Reload were much longer. They also gave out free hats of Morgana from Persona 5 similarly to the Nintendo area.

almost a full quarter of the event was for retro games and tabletop games. They had old games from older consoles from NES, SNES, N64, Sega Megadrive and the older playstations. i played the original GTA, banjo kazooie, super mario 3, street fighter 2, and also a FPS game for the PS2. i wasn’t sure what that game was called but i played it with 3 of my friends.

They also had a lot of old arcade games from around the 1980s, i played frogger, elevator action, make trax, asteroids, raiden fighter’s jet, and an arcade game that was similar to street fighter. there were also driving games and fighter jet games where you would control the vehicle with a steering wheel or a control handle and the seat would move. i was terrible at them.

there were lots of indie games i hadn’t heard of before. but i didn’t end up trying them unfortunately. there were always a lot of people waiting.

I didn’t get any close ups of the stalls, but there were a lot of sellers. there were a lot of independent small businesses that sold their own artwork too.

personally, i think a lot of the items were overpriced. but this is understandable, since the sellers most likely understand that a lot of people are coming to the event and they know they can make profit from them. it costs a lot usually to set up a stall like these, so they were probably wanting to make a lot of their money back. it did stop me from buying a lot of things though.

there were a lot of copyrighted characters’ merchandise being sold. a lot of anime, sanrio and game characters were having merchandise sold of them. these companies do not have the time to worry about small businesses reselling their characters in merchandise, other than nintendo. nintendo would probably shut them down completely if they found out. i think they avoid copyright claims by the companies just not knowing of their reselling.

i bought this pair of nintendo star earrings from a business called lethe charms. they were £10, which is actually reasonable for a pair of earrings that look to be hand made. although they did have keychains for £8 which i consider a little overpriced considering their sizes.

i bought these two kirby keychains from a stall, and none of their products are made by them. these two together were a deal for £6, which i didn’t consider too overpriced.

i also got this kirby beanie for £12. which was definitely overpriced and i could’ve bought it elsewhere. this merch was also not made by the business selling them.

The sun had long gone down by now. The dark lord of villainy stared out at the now peaceful city outside his window, and then at clock on his phone with increasing impatience.

“Useless bag headed imbecile. How long does it take to ‘check in on’ some looney pink plastic bitch”

He thought out loud to himself, and decided to finally text him to at least make sure he wasn’t stabbed by some schizo in there

The hat closed his message app and turned to YouTube, the news, social media, everywhere; everywhere was just that blasted stream. But rather than just putting his phone down and ignoring it, he obsessively watched it over and over again. It filled the pit of his stomach with overwhelming nausea to see it but that was just it, no matter how deeply he explored it he couldn’t pin down what that disgust was or was it stemmed from. He’d never been of fan of loving gestures such as kisses, but other people doing it never bothered him like this, he could just look the other way. This he couldn’t take his eyes off of if he tried. There was a sense of dare he say, righteous anger at the heart of it that made him want to just - “OOOOHHH BOOOOOSS!!!”

His train of though promptly plummeted off the tracks as Dementia burst in.

“*Inhale* WHAT?! WHAT IS IT?!”

“Bag nerd just called a meeting first thing tomorrow morning, apparently pinkie pie was actually able to get a complete sentence out.”

“Ha ha… they did taze her quite a lot didn’t they? Ah the sweet screams of a crumbling hero, nothing like it.”

“Not as good as getting to broadcast her little bit of air time in front of the entire city LOL!”

Black Hat clenched his armrest as his previous thoughts re-emerged and he violently banished Dementia from his sight, she left in a delighted scurry. His eyes and his thoughts returned to the Flug on his phone. And he noticed… just how much he wanted to crush it in his hand when he saw the goggly eyed look on his face after the heroine pulled away from him. Then in the distance, he heard the front door open and shut followed by the sound of Flug lovingly greeting 505. Blackhat arose from his desk, snapped his fingers, and transported himself to the entryway in a cloud of darkness; manifesting right behind Flug’s back.

Flug froze as he felt a hand on his right shoulder. He recognized it immediately and slowly turned around expecting to be met with a nasty scowl followed by a berating, but what he saw was… something different. Not quite anger, but some contempt, and aloofness?

“I-I’m s-s-sorry fo-for being late j-jefito” he said bowing his head slightly with his eyes shut tight to avoid Black Hat’s gaze. But he felt another hand on his chin tilting his head up towards him, and he opened his eyes.

“Just don’t spend too much time there alright, you might catch the crazy. And believe me we’ve got enough of that in this lair” Black Hat said glancing at Dementia giggling uncontrollably as she caressed a homemade sock puppet.

“Anyway it’s late, we all must rejuvenate after our exciting day of evil doings.” His wicked grin had returned to him.

~ Later ~

Flug put on his pajamas and collapsed onto his bed. He decided to read a few pages from his bookshelf to decompress before sleeping. It was then that he started to notice some weird things in the room.

Before he knew it shadows enveloped the room and his boss’s face was in all all the reflective surfaces.

‘J-Jefito? I-I know y-you’re there!’

The dark tall figure was already materializing over him and gazing down with that… same look as before

‘D-do you want s-something sir?!’

He was getting tired of this silent treatment

Much to his surprise, Hat sat down next to him.

‘Doctor, I wanted just… to make something clear here.’

‘Y- yes sir?’

‘…’

‘That your… loyalty… should never come into question’

‘…absolutely sir’

‘Yes… good’

And he got up to leave

As he departed from Flug’s plane he tried to think of why Flug’s answer hadn’t been satisfying for him. He was worried for his loyalty right? And he had just denied such a prospect. Was it not loyalty to his team? If not WHAT?! Was he feeling betrayed? No… betrayal you feel in your gut, this was a feeling in his heart. Something he thought wouldn’t ever bother him agian.

What are your unpopular opinions on Black Hat, his employees, and Villainous in general?

Wow. I'm surprised I got asked this, figured I'd get more people getting angry at me. Well, again, these are just opinions.

Well, back in 2017-early 2018, I actually really liked Black Hat. He seemed to kinda be like a darker Grunkle Stan and actually interacted more with the crew. Plus, he seemed more like a troll then. Now, it just feels he just exists to be sexy and edgy(tm). I'm sure a lot of fans love that, but I kinda miss the days where this was an old man that couldn't tell how to work a device that had one freaking button. Now, he can actually use technology...he just chooses not to. So, I guess he pretended to not know how to work that anti-gravity device...on a commercial that aired on TV? Makes sense if you dont think about it. Also, BH doesn't pay his employees? I guess they're getting the materials, weapons, foods, phones, and other shit out of their ass. They may have a company card, but (huge shock) company cards only work if you get it from that specific company. We already know that Hat Island doesn't have a supermarket and is just uninhabitable for no reason other than evil. So, they clearly got their own bank somehow, especially since BH doesn't even buy the food or anything needed for them to live.

I've already talked about how Dem and Flug are walking contradictions/inconsistencies. I will say I forgot to add how Demencia's hair could easily cause her more trouble in battle than anything else. Heck, it already has with Sunblast. I'm surprised BH didn't force her to cut her hair, but I guess that would ruin the fantasy of Lizardhat that Alan so clearly favors (seriously, people paying to get a little bit of paperhat, but all he cared to draw was lizardhat, especially if it was slightly promiscuous. Secret kisses, my ass). Flug has a brother.....cool? We only see him once and he doesn't seem to be mentioned by other heroes nor in posters or anywhere, really. Plus, I don't care if his brother was favored by his parents cause, at the end of the day, Flug is living his dream. This is what he wanted and doesn't regret it. Why should I feel bad? In 2017, I actually though he kinda disliked working for BH, but that got thrown out the window with the streams that contradicted each other.

Villainous worked better as shorts. I know we only have the two full episodes, but they already just are...nothing. The ending to the pilot means absolutely nothing now because Sunblast is alive. So, like, what was the point of him getting eaten if he was just gonna be alive? Heck, BH gets mad at them for having a hero enter his home...not for literally messing up a transaction in front of a customer. He's lucky that Penumbra's dumb af couldn't see because this would've been quite the problem and he would've lost money (since souls are apparently currency now). As for the crossover, I dont see what it could add to the show or why it was seen as a victory. Demencia is this amazing assassin...but gets knocked out by one hit by a baby. She also runs from a woman throwing salt at her....you fight superpowered heroes...stop. Also, why wasn't it the grandma? She already seems to have some sort of magical connection to the world, so it would only make sense for her to be the hero, right? Heck, it would cause even more of a change to the show and to the perspectives of Dem and Flug. "Vic and Val have an old person who's a monster too, but she treats them super nicely all the time. Even gave us cookies and warm milk." "She's a hero, Dem." "And we're villains, dork! It doesn't-" "Just-! Ugh....let it go, Demencia. Don't think too hard about it. Heroes are all the same....that's how it is." But, no, it had to be the baby....great...
