Second batch of Playlists of Usagi Yojimbo Characters, just to make up for my lack of posting. Hope you like them!

Honestly, if someone has any suggestions. Specially for Kenichi and Sasuke, I'd be very grateful. I did what I could with what I found, tho... You know, it could have been better.

I can even say I did Hikiji's Playlist good enough! And that dude appears for less than ten panels in the first seven books!!! Anyway--

perhaps it was in an earlier style? but im pretty sure her hair is just big. check out the way her hair is drawn on this cover, when it’s not entirely rendered as one inky shape.

noriko is another character with big hair. on the left, is how she normally wears it. on the right, is how it looks with a ponytail. as you can see, her hair is still big.

confession. until like. thirty minutes ago i’ve been operating this entire time under the assumption that tomoe has a ponytail. her hair is a little big and i thought the bow was a hair tie

And BOOM! Finished a second page of busts! For those unware, these are character busts for characters in my iteration of TMNT, From the Hidden City, which is also a bit of a cross-over with Usagi Yojimbo. In order, from left to right and from up to down, we have:

Bludgeon, one of Big Mama's bodyguard. Despite being blind, he's an excellent fighter, and is remarkably chill for being the bodyguard of the biggest crimeboss in the Hidden City. Might help that his employer can defend herself just fine.

Tigerclaw, an enforcer of the Foot Clan. Birth name Takeshi, he volunteered to be mutated with one of the 'captured' oozequitoes so the Foot could monitor the effects of the mutagen for themselves. He's an old friend of the Shredder, and the instructor and handler of Karai and her group.

Kitsune, a yokai sorceress in the Foot Clan. Recruited during the Battle Nexus, she's actually a spy for Draxum, and was able to weasel into the New York's branch inner council despite her attempts at seducing the Shredder hitting a wall. She and Karai's group don't get along.

Meat Sweats, original name Rupert Swaggart. A celebrity chef with his own show, he had the misfortune of being the first victim of Draxum's new mutagen, which still needed some fine tuning. Driven half-mad by his mutation, some part of him still wishes for his old life back.

Repo Mantis, a gangster who ended up mutated. While extremely pissed off about being mutated, it hasn't stopped him from continuing his usual business as a junker and car thief, including a certain etiquette as a businessman. While not on very good terms with the Turtles due to multiple attempts at stealing their Tank, he doesn't want them dead and has been willing to help on a few occasions.

Hypno-Potamus and Warren Stone, a stage magcian and news anchorman who ended up mutated. Originally teaming up to better fight against the Turtles, the two's relationship has genuinely blossomed into something more... special. While Hypno is more-or-less at peace with his mutation, in part due to it somehow making his magic real, Warren is utterly miserable about it.

Irma Langinstein, one of April's friend and fellow school journal member. She's a nerdy and clumsy girl who's also somewhat boy-crazy. Despite this, she's an excellent editor and often the one who makes sense out of April's more out-there articles.

Sunita Lal, one of April's friend and fellow school journal member. She's a fashionable and artistic girl who's in charge of both photography and the 'gossip' collumn, preferring more down-to-earth matters than April.

Lotus Blossom, one of April's friend and fellow school journal member. A moody girl, she's basically the journal's producer, making sure that her friends stay on track and don't accidentally reveal that some poor kid's parents are having a divorce through getting swept up in their investigations. She also does martial arts competively.

Murakami Gennosuke, Gen for short. A former gangster, he was caught, and is currently serving a sentence of community service by being in the Old Guard. Despite their differences, he and Usagi are friends.

Ame Tomoe, a member of the Old Guard. She's a skilled warrior and a good friend of Usagi, and the two have bonded over having similar gruesome pasts. Her sister, Noriko, is a small-time crimelord in the Hidden City. Her being in the Old Guard might be her way to try and atone for that.

Jei, a malovelent spirit. He's responsible for killing most of Usagi's family. He eventually incarnates again, intent on finishing what he started. He and Draxum have some history together.

Not gonna lie, in this one I just played with the colors... Actually, it doesn't look half bad!

Another one of Noriko. Say, wouldn't it be interesting a story about a demonic mask that gets energized by hate and in exchange gives their host great power to fulfill their desires??

Hmmm, just thoughts.

I just met Noriko, and I've to say I despise her in the most positive way. One of my favorite plot twists in all the saga for sure!

I have a doubt from your last post of information, I'm confused with the timeline, Usagi and Leo disappear together, Jotaro's village is attacked, Katsuichi takes care of Jotaro, Sasuke helps with the curse, Yukichi leaves his journey to help Jotaro, Noriyuki becomes his brother, and because of closeness he befriends Tomoe Ame? When does Kintaro enter here? Or Tomoe's cousin (I know her name, I just don't like her), can you tell or does it count as a spoiler for what's to come? Even if you call this AU "Jotaro meets Leo" everything before that can count as spoiler?

As a side note, your design of Yukichi is beautiful.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. You are lucky because is Yukichi the first one I'm doing. I'm testing how well I can replicate Stan Sakai's style.

As for the Timeline is not much of a spoiler, is more that some things are still not planned or are still in progress.

Tomoe and Jotaro just met once and that was in Usagi's grave as many thought that he had died for sure this time, as he had disappeared sometime before the Yokai bloody night.

As much as Tomoe wanted to stay at Jotaro's side (because she only knew that Usagi was his uncle), she did not want to suffer more. The night the Yokai's attacked many of her companions died, and her brother was almost killed (they both had a rough fight after it was revealed that Tajima could no longer fight), treads from Noriko started to come at her door... and of course, her duty as Lord Noriyuki's bodyguard came first...

You could say that Jotaro and Tomoe's relationship is mostly complicated...

Noriyuki tends to visit Jotaro alone with a different bodyguard. Gorogoro and Kyoko are there too sometimes.

As for Tomoe Ame, Noriko, and Tajima that is a whole different arc that maybe won't have Jotaro included. There might be a fight between the Blood Princess with Jotaro and his new friend ¨Leo¨ just to show how strong she is and the power of her curse (I hope that in my last post, it was clear that she is also cursed... but if not I clarify here. Her ability has to do with blood manipulation) but at the end, it will be a fight between Noriko and Tomoe. Tajima's fate is still insured...

For Kintaro and Akemi, their roles come maybe as one of Usagi's first important missions under Lord Mifune's bodyguard role, and mostly for being the ¨first time¨ Usagi meets the turtles and *his* Leo. Kintaro is just like it was shown in the TMNT2012 series just that here is all grown up and protecting the borders of Noriyuki's kingdom (you know, because he has godly powers... but was too far away to help in the fight against the Yokais)

Inktober 2018 - Sakaitober

Another year, another Inktober. And this time, about my all-time favorite comic book.

Since I discovered “Grasscutter” right before going to college, I tried to get every single “Usagi Yojimbo” issue published in Spain. Every year, I buy the newest book, and every year I re-read all the tomes I have. Yes: every single year. And I keep discovering little details here and there that I didn’t realize before.

So it isn’t strange that, sooner or later, I’d make an Inktober based on Stan Sakai’s comic series.
