I managed to get a 17 year old and two 18 year olds to a sorority party. It's for the mission. Totally for the mission. Opal honey you can't wear that to this event. Yael it's still illegal for you to drink that even if your super-kidneys and being 7ft tall prevents you from actually getting drunk off it.

Continuing, at least for now, after not writing for several days because of everything feeling useless and impossible.

2.5 more scenes written. 18.5 scenes left to go. 3,829 words added for a new total of 9,030 words so far.

Drafted some sibling arm wresting, a major revelation, some menacing dialogue, and that special kind of chaotic quiet after 95% of the gala guests have gone and everybody left is sitting around in formalwear with their shoes off picking over the remains of the buffet.

Should hopefully get quite a bit more writing in tomorrow, to.

HEEEEEY GUESS WHO MISCOUNTED THE NUMBER OF SCENES IN THIS ACT BECAUSE I FORGOT THIS BOOK HAS 3 SCENES PER CHAPTER INSTEAD OF 4 LIKE THE LAST BOOK.

Act 1 is only 18 scenes long, not 24.

I'm drafting uncharacteristically leanly this time for some reason. Usually I'm a major over-writer. Hopefully this bodes well for editing. Adding depth, complexity and vibe is way more fun than streamlining and making a book more efficient, for me.

9 scenes/3 chapters to go, but I made it to half way before mid-month despite a bit of a mental breakdown, so go me.
