6 Miraculous Character's if they had a Pokemon Team

Technically they would all be in Kalos, but I ignored that when choosing Pokemon.

Warning: Some of the reasonings are very weak 😅

PokeStylist Marinette: Ledian, Leavanny, Alcremei, Furfrou, Togedemaru, Sylveon

Ledian is a reference to Tikki, and Ladybug.

Leavanny makes clothes for other Pokemon out of leaves and it's own made silk.

Alcremei is a reference to her work at her parent's bakery.

Furfrou's fur is able to be styled and cut wich is something I can see Marinette enjoying.

Togedemaru is a reference to her time as Multimouse.

Syleveon is for Marinette's too big heart for her friends, and family.

Trainer/Coordinator Adrien: Galade, Alolan!Meowth, Furfrou, Fem!Indeedee, Absol, Eevee

Galade is a nod to Chat Noir calling himself a knight.

Alolan!Meowth is a reference to Plagg.

Furfrou is a not to Adrien's job as a model.

Absol is a reference to Chat's bad luck.

Fem!Indeedee is just a reference to Natalie.

Eevee is to symbolize Adrien not really knowing his goal yet due to his father's choices for him.

Performer Chloe: Vespiquin, Kirlia, Nidoqueen, Serperior, Meowth, Emolga

Vespiquin is because Chloe was Queen Bee.

Kirlia is in reference of early Chloe wanting to be with Adrien.

Nidoqueen is again a nod to Queen Bee.

Serperior is for Chloe's 'superior' personality.

Meowth is a reference to her being rich.

Emolga mostly because Chloe reminds me of Iris' Emolga in the anime.

Blogger/Coordinator Alya: Braixan, Golett, Pikachu, Charmeleon, Butterfree, Elgyem

Braixian is for Rena Rouge.

Golett is for the Golett in the anime that holds a camera for its trainer.

Pikachu is a popular Pokemon, which I think Alya would have to increase views on her blog.

Charmeleon is again because Charizard is popular, but also Charmeleon have rather brash attitudes that I can see Alya having at times.

Butterfree is just so Alya can get air shots.

Elgyem is a reference to her conspiracy theorist side.

Trainer Nino: Exploud, Buneary, Popplio, Chatot, Piloswine, Tortera

Exploud is for is music/DJ work.

Buneary is quite simply to have a couple Pokemon with Alya. Pikachu x Buneary.

Popplio is a reference to the Bubbler

Chatot is another nod to his music.

Piloswine is a nod to Nino's chill personality.

Tortera is a reference to his time as Carapace.

Coordinator/Performer Lila: Fennekin, Zoroark, Glameow, Kecleon, Gangar, Ocean!Vivillion

Fennekin is in honor of her time as Volpina.

Zoroark is also a not to Volpina, but the darker side of it.

Glameow is a reference of her 'Saved Jagged Stone's Kitten' lie.

Kecleon is in honor of her time as Chameleon.

Gengar is simply in honor of the darker side of her lies, and what they could cause.

Ocean!Vivillion is just so we could have a Pokemon Lie. Lila lies as says her Ocean!Vivillion is a shiny Sivanna!Vivillion.

Hmm. Her worst date. Noir was only on the cusp of her third evolution when she was that age and although they had a massive jump in strength from being a Ralts, there was still only so much a Kirlia could do to protect her from scum. 

But Tina wasn’t scum, no, not even after all the hurt she caused. Tina was magnificent. Tina was someone she hadn’t thought about in years.

“It wasn’t...it wasn’t really a bad date.” She chugged half of her third glass. “It was kind of a bad everything.”

Breakdown Of The IFA Best Picture Nominees

After The Academy’s surprise announcement that there will only be four movies nominated for best picture this year, the hype has grown, and the official countdown to the International Film Awards next February has officially begun. Here we have come up with a guide for your pre IFA movie binge.

Blackboard (Le Tableau Noir ) Gaston Duguay. Drama. R.

A young teaching assistant at a university falls for one of his students: a charming yet mysterious man who dreams of changing the world for the better. Their torrid affair leads to ugly and eye opening realizations about the world and themselves.

Why It’s A Contender: The film’s raw passion drove it to box office success. From the outstanding acting of the film’s star-studded cast (Best Actor nominee Andre Deschamps as the troubled youth Léon, Jaques Armand as the conflicted teaching assistant Michel Bonnefoy, and two time IFA Best Actress winner Diantha Jolivet as the university president to name a few) the camera’s lingering gaze on both romantic interludes and tense confrontations alike, the haunting score, audiences could not tear their eyes from the screen. Many also praised the film’s exploration of social issues such as humanity’s nature to acceptance of the LGBT community.

Why It Won’t Make The Cut: For such a revolutionary movie, Blackboard’s use of a tragic ending for the LGBT characters disappointed viewers, calling it a “a cliche that does more harm than good.” In the film’s native Kalos, controversy ensued from speculation that the movie was based on the supposed relationship between pokemon expert Professor Augustine Sycamore and the late Lysandre Labs CEO and former leader of Team Flare Lysandre Leroy. Others claimed that the movie’s timing with Léon’s descent into radicalism came too soon after Team Flare’s attempt to destroy Kalos in order to create a new world only three years prior.

Blackboard is rated R for its use of strong language, sexual content, and nudity

Like The Darkness Of Your Shadow (Anata No In No Yami No Yō Ni) Hiroto Yamada. Drama. R.

An orphaned sixteen year old boy joins a mafia gang in order to provide for his younger siblings and gets caught up in the underbelly of the crime world.

Why It’s A Contender: Critics have applauded the film’s use of realism: its dialogue, the gritty urban setting, moral grayness of the characters, and the depiction of the inner workings of the gang itself(Director Yamada has stated in interviews that he interviewed former members of Team Rocket for authenticity). Three members of its cast are have been nominated for IFA awards: breakout star Satoshi Yoshida for Best Actor for his sympathetic and tragic portrayal of the protagonist Ichiro that had audiences in tears, Best Actress nominee Megumi Miyamoto as Yuna, a drug addicted gang member and Ichiro’s love interest, and Akihito Abe for Best Supporting Actor as the mafia leader Kumori.

Why It Won’t Make The Cut: Like The Darkness Of Your Shadow is not for viewers with a weak stomach. The violence, torture, depraved illegal activities and other disturbing incidents are overplayed to the point of pure shock value. Controversy broke out after some pokemon rights groups accused Mr. Yamada of actually allowing the ditto to be abused in the infamous ditto scene despite reports that a member of the Pokemon Humane Society was on set at all time to ensure all of the pokemons’ safety and that that particular scene was simulated.

Like The Darkness Of Your Shadow is rated R for graphic violence and torture, strong language, drug use, and scenes of pokemon cruelty

Natsuki And The Froslass’ Path (Natsuki To Yukimenoko No Michi)  Isami Sato. Animation. PG.

When a young girl named Natsuki catches sight of a Froslass while gathering berries outside of her village, she is whisked to a world of ice beyond the mountains.

Why It’s A Contender: The film makes use of breathtaking animation and well developed characters to bring an old Sinnohan folktale to life. The audience cheers on the character of Natsuki  as she grows into a hero of her own right. Her quest to escape the ice world turns that into a fight for the enslaved inhabitants survival. Yet even with the sides of good and evil, black and white are drawn out, all of the characters, even the Froslass reside in that gray moral area in between: something rare for a children’s movie.

Why It Won’t Make The Cut: Natsuki And The Froslass’ Path was too Sinnohan for some people’s tastes. When it first premiered at Kanto Animation Fest, the audience members from other regions were left with mixed feelings and unanswered questions such as: what was the Froslass’ motive? Why is the pokemon named Arceus, who only had five seconds of screen time, so important at the climax? Is the Kirlia Natsuki befriended actually a human boy trapped in a pokemon’s body? What was the ending so confusing?

Natsuki And The Froslass’ Path is rated PG for fantasy violence and some scary moments

Past Drifting Tides Eleanor Keahi. Comedic Drama. PG-13.

Three sisters at turning points in their life: one jobless, one recently divorced, and the other kicked out of college, embark on a journey across Alola to fulfill the wish of their ailing mother: to find a long lost letter she tossed out to sea as a young woman.

Why It’s A Contender: Past Drifting Tides has been called the “feel good movie of the year” and movie goers agree. The movie is a beautiful look at at the ties of sisterhood and family, and the audience is able to easily connect with these three woman who are searching for more in life. The cinematography is stunning, and the movie makes great use of Alola’s picturesque scenery to its advantage.

Why It Won’t Make The Cut: Some that despite its unique Alolan charm, that Past Drifting Tides was rushed. It listed off the sisters’ problem and only offered quick and easy resolutions. The movie as a whole could have worked better as a television miniseries where the characters would be allowed to fully develop.

Past Drifting Tides is rated PG-13 for language and mature themes

Fire Emblem Awakening kid-gen, partner Pokemon

Lucina: Aegislash. Can sense a potential leader. Solid plans for attacking and defending. Lucina might have to reel in their want to manipulate others into following her lead, but they would be a stalwart companion regardless.

Owain: Oshawott and its line. His was the first one I thought of while reading the ask. Can’t you imagine them posing with their “legendary weapons” and being dramatic together? Imagine it.

Kjelle: Shuckle. You might’ve thought she would go for something that looks tougher, but have you seen a shuckle’s defenses? She could trust them to have her back. She would train them to be ready for anything. Beware their power trick.

Cynthia: Altaria. Their beautiful singing makes those who listen fall into a dreamy state. Now her dramatic, heroic entrances will be that much more amazing! And she would just love those fluffy hugs!

Laurent: Alakazam. Crazy intelligent. Remembers everything they’ve ever experienced ever. Do you know how useful that would be for him? Those two would spend hours researching together, going over documents. But not without eating, because he also needs someone to make sure he doesn’t overdo it.

Brady: Blissey. Along with her healing abilities, she is tuned to people’s emotions and will immediately go to console anyone who’s sad. Soft fur to hug? Yes please! And seeing him interact with such a cute, gentle pokemon will help others realize how similar they are.

Severa: Weavile. The sass. The speed to keep up and disorient their opponents. Pretty. Takes no crap. They’re perfect for each other. Probably friendly bickering.

Nah: Tyrunt. For a little cutie, they can pack quite the punch - and they turn into a gigantic, heckin’ strong reptilian creature. Plus, rampage buddies! They can both be a bit childish, but maybe they’ll be able to learn from each other and not feed off of each other’s bad habits.

Noire: Banette. First a pokemon attracted by negative emotions to eat them, then an abandoned doll that needs some love. Plus, ghost. Can you think of a more perfect match? Plus, what a sick nasty mega evolution.

Yarne: Lilligant. Were you expecting a rabbit, shame on you. This anxious bunny boy could use a partner pokemon with a relaxing effect. But she wouldn’t be a pushover either. They can protect each other.

Inigo: Kirlia. Delights in their trainer being happy, grows beautiful when exposed to that happiness. Dances on sunny mornings. And with a possibility (for a male kirlia) to be either a gorgeous gardevoir or a gallant gallade reminds me of the split between his secret dream and his current reality.

Gerome: What do you mean he can’t have Minerva okay fine. Noivern. Kinda has his darker aesthetic. Also a wyvern-style dragon-type. Supersonic screeching and he’s just like “yes I understand everything you’re saying” while others are covering their ears in agony. He’d be really good at calming them down.

Morgan: Elgyem. A pokemon with mysterious origins? Neat-o! Plus they’re surprisingly very helpful and welcoming, and if they become fully involved in something important to them they’ll protect it with their life. They’d make a great partner for the aspiring tactician.

The black kirlia remained silent, her once apathetic expression was now replaced by a hate-filled gaze which was fixed on the area in front of her. Her journey back home had just been full of problems and even when she and Alida finally reached it, more problems came. And now here she was with her overly caring servant, Plom...... Oh boy.

Plom: “Lady Noir? Please do tell me what is bothering you. It pains me to see you in such a state.”

The bisharp hybrid seemed distressed at this point. Never before had she seen Noir express, well, anything.

Plom: “Did you not eat today? Is that why you are grumpy?”

Noir: “.......”

Plom: “No? Um, did something happen to you at that event you and your sisters went to?”

Noir: “......”

Plom: “N-no? Then perhaps-”

By now Plom was just listing off everything and anything which may have angered Noir, all of which only further irritating the Kirlia. She couldn’t take it anymore. She had about enough of everything today. At this point all the Kirlia wanted to do was to be left alone.

Plom: “- Master Lightning blew up near you again? Ummm, Oh! Another pesky Vespiqueen? Uuuhhhh, did Eins antic anger you this time? Or was i-”

Noir: “Yes.”

Noir’s sudden response caught Plom off guard. Taking a few seconds to process her liege’s answer, Plom’s look of distress was soon replaced by her usual smile.

Plom: “Oh? So Eins caused all of this did he? Is that what you mean?”

The bisharp’s head tilted slightly upon finishing her question. And although her smile seemed warm and friendly, a rather cold aura began emitting around her. Noir immediately felt the sudden oppressive aura, but she didn’t seem to care at this point.

Noir: “Yes and yes..... Now please Plom just leave me alone.... I don’t want to talk right now....”

Plom: “Ah, I see. Thank you for telling me, Lady Noir. Oh! Also, I’ll be sure to give sir Eins a little chat as soon as I can. As for now, I shall leave you be as you wish. Please do come meet everyone back in town once you’ve cooled off.”

And with that the bisharp walked off, leaving Noir to her thoughts.

For several minutes, Noir remained still where she sat. After finally being able to be in peace just for awhile, Noir’s mind began to clear and her anger subsided. Unfortunately as it did, Noir also began understanding the consequences of what she said to her servant.

‘So Eins caused all of this did he?’

‘Is that what you mean?’

‘Also, I’ll be sure to give sir Eins a little chat as soon as I can.’
