Ooooo! Which song? And yes. They would. They are big time dancers with each other. One of the only courtly things that Noctine enjoys still. And balls were Chrysanthemum's favorite when she was still a young princess at her court.

i’m back, sorry for spamming your inbox 😭 but just met the first baron & omgg, noctine and chrysanthemum are tew cute i love them fhekejeke… my brain is still wrapped into imagination land so thinking about the damn snake slithering around freaked me out ngl LMAO i could picture this GINORMOUS snake just going around corners of bookshelves like?? that’s terrifying pleek

i had a feeling he was the snake or something in relation to it… love that 🙂‍↕️ they seem so happy w eo <33 ANYWAYS IM DATING MILO YIPPIE (also as much as i love romance, i adore platonic relationships so much so still being able to create bonds with everyone else is lovely!! i hate when different games/mangas/movies just have the mc ditch their friends and focus ALL on their poi so this is really enjoyable to me, makes me feel a little less guilty abt not picking certain hangouts & i’ll just enjoy them later on as i replay hehe)

Noctine and Chryssi are so near and dear to my heart. Their story is WILD. But I just love them and even when @mooreaux and I try to write them hating each other or at odds, those two just somehow always come back to each other. If you look up tags of Noctine or Chrysanthemum, you should be able to see some art of the two of them.

As for different bonds with the characters not being romanced. That was a goal of mine. I want all the characters to have different bonds. With MC. With each other. With people you only hear about in passing. It makes everything feel more lived in. And that has gotten me in quite a bit of trouble with the community but I just cannot stand stories that everything is centered on one character being the center of the universe. It's a very pick me attitude and I'm not here for it.

I have to ask, the story that Caliban tells us in the cell... that's obviously Noctine and Chrysanthemum, right? I really want to learn more about those three. Is there anything you can tell us about them? Too spoilery?

Yes, it is Noctine and Chryssi he speaks of. Along with another character that you haven't met.

Now, here's the thing. Caliban? Barely knows them. LOL! He knows of them. He had spoken to them. But he does not know them well. He is just a man who loves his stories and Noctine and Chryssi are a STORY.

Chrysanthemum is a fae princess of an Autumn fairie court. Long before she came to the Night Market, she was young, naive, spoiled, and barely trusted within her kingdom. She was more the heir they patted on the head. Noctine, is the fae prince of the Winter court. Brutal. Sharp. Feared. Relatively forgotten by his court which is just the way he likes it. The two of them, due to a lot of circumstances, end up meeting and falling in love. Mainly, because they see something in the other that the world has never given them. Noctine believes in Chrysanthemum and knows that she is far more than what the world is allowing her to be. And Chrysanthemum looks at the blood on Noctine's hands and washes it away without judgement. They are by far some of my favorite characters and has been a wonderful duo to play with between me and @mooreaux.

Gabriel - Post Chapter Ten

New short up on Patreon and Ko-fi! Ever wonder what those monthly Baron meetings look like? Ever want to know why Gabriel seems constantly tired? Here are your answers. :)

Setting aside the dirty rag, Gabriel looked upwards at the semicircle of thrones that sat before him.  Nine of them. The monthly Baron meeting came on the heels of Kavatti’s demise so her chair remained empty. So did the Gatekeepers, like usual. Along with the Dockmaster’s since Reese never came to the meeting in order to keep up the ruse that he was dead for Elias.  But, it seemed as if today, most of the Barons did not seem to deem it necessary to attend their meeting.  The Baron of the Deep only had a conch shell in her place, having called in from the depths of her castle instead of making her way to the surface today. Odin was irritated at his inability to get back to the Nine Realms like he initially thought he would so easily do, so his other raven, Huginn/Julien, Gabriel didn’t know which he wished to go by, was sitting surly in his place.  

In fact, the only true Barons attending today seemed to be Elias.  Perhaps, Lady Chrysanthemum.  

“Does anyone know where Lord Taliesin is?” Gabriel asked, sanding in front of the semicircle of half empty chairs and proxies.

They are both incredibly pretty and very vain people. So, I am sure this would lead to a bit of a squabble between the two of them. Noctine and Chryssi are one of my favorite pairings in all of the writings that @mooreaux and I do. I cannot wait to one day share their story entirely with you guys. Because, and this is in early early development, that is going to happen. And oh man is their story a wild one. :)
