saw this on the dash and thought of the best part of this for blankship in particular - you don't have to decide which of them is which side, A or B, you can absolutely have it both ways.

ingo's love changing and growing in shape but never remotely abating as they grow together, and emmet realizing one day that Oh Shit™. kicking down the door to their office after hours (...hopefully) to announce his internal discovery at ingo-volume levels.
then ingo falls, and emmet sits with that aching void of loss for years, even while ecstatic at the miraculous return still mourning the parts of him that were lost, that could never be recovered. and maybe it truly is for the best, maybe he should keep his candle low, not intervene and let ingo recreate himself in ways he never has the chance to growing up attached at the hip as they were.
then ingo just. yanks his tie one day as he's going out the door for milk and smothers him into the couch like an alpha sneasler with separation anxiety (he learned from the best, after all ;p).

Prophecy
Title: Prophecy Word count: 2,004 Synopsis: Emmet has been acting anxious, and Ingo can't figure out why. Dynamic: NoboKuda
Ingo prided himself on the fact that he could almost always tell what Emmet was feeling. Since they had lived the entirety of their existence together, every single tell that Emmet displayed was as obvious to Ingo as if it were his own. When Emmet was sad, the strain around his eyes drew attention away from his greatly diminished smile. When he was excited, he had trouble not clenching his hands into fists of eagerness. All of the various expressions of Emmet's emotions were so endearing that Ingo simply needed to catalogue them all for his own memories.
However, recently Emmet had been acting in a way that Ingo found incredibly unfamiliar.
Emmet had always been focused on safety. Following the rules to maintain a safe environment that still allowed everyone to smile and have fun was Emmet's ideal. The safety in their subway was the best for any public transit in Unova, possibly extending to the whole world, and it was all thanks to his younger twin's knowledge and efforts. Although Ingo was well versed in safety rules, as should be expected of anyone in his position, to Emmet it was a passion. Safety was a preventative protection, a method to keep the employees and passengers in good health. It was not something Emmet used because he was afraid of something.
But all the signs pointed exactly to that. Emmet had never before watched over his shoulder or hesitated around corners. He'd never before insisted Ingo have an agent escort to his train; when going on routine checks or maintenance runs, it was common, but to meet a challenger?
Sometimes, it was helpful to consider all the possibilities before approaching the issue. But that wasn't the case for interacting with his brother. After all, if he let himself get stuck in his thoughts, Emmet would be several steps ahead of him before he reacted. It was a wonderful and perfect balancing system they had always followed. Emmet stepped forward, allowing them progress, and he delayed just enough to catch the troubles ahead, stopping his brother at the exact right moment. That was not to say that Emmet did not think things through. But, he did not dally in his own head the way Ingo did, content with the information he gathered without turning it this way and that in his thoughts.
So, for Emmet to operate in such a way, he must have come to a conclusion. And Ingo had allowed it to continue, trying over and over again to determine just what Emmet was reacting to. For several days it puzzled him, and he was no closer to understanding what had caused his brother to suddenly become so incredibly cautious, especially regarding Ingo's safety.
When he finally accepted he couldn't intuit what Emmet was thinking, he decided it was time to ask. If Emmet was that worried for his safety, then it was reasonable for Ingo to know what the danger was. Nothing had seemed different in the subway, so he needed his twin's insight. Coming to this conclusion, he stood up from his desk with determination, firming his expression. Hopefully, Emmet would easily explain what the trouble was, but Ingo was also well versed in getting his twin to fess up when he refused to tell.
Striding out of the office, he adopted the stance he always took when he wanted to exude the most professional aura he could. Hands in fists with knuckles to his back, he walked calmly but with purpose. The various passengers he walked past continued about their business, and the few agents he saw merely tipped their caps or waved in greeting.
He found Emmet near his train, directing Thutmose with special attention to one of their tablets. Emmet was a wonderful Subway Master, competent and capable enough to run all of Gear Station himself, and Ingo relished every chance he got to see Emmet at work separate from him. The way Emmet held himself, confident and sure, made Ingo's heart flutter fondly without exception. A fondness that perhaps was improper to hold for his twin, but it harmed no one if he harbored a bit of a crush. Heart warm with the sight of his younger brother, Ingo lost much of his strong aura, feeling light.
That is, until he noticed Emmet's aghast expression at his arrival. Strain evident in his face, Emmet's eyes widened in a way Ingo could only describe as horror. His twin's entire body stiffened, halted in the middle of a sentence to Thutmose.
Emmet had never looked like *that* at his presence, throughout their entire lives. Even Thutmose seemed surprised at Emmet's sudden change. He felt his heart tighten at the unexpected reaction, worried that this was perhaps a more severe situation than he'd realized. Still, he closed the distance between himself and his twin, aided by Emmet's significantly more hurried stride to meet him.
"Ingo! Did you come here alone?" Emmet gripped both of his upper arms. Past Emmet, Thutmose lingered awkwardly for a moment, tablet held in both hands to his chest, before he quietly went about whatever task Emmet had been assigning to him. Returning his full attention to his anxious twin, Ingo tilted his head to the side.
"Of course. I know you've been worried about safety lately, but there was nothing to derail me. The walk here from our office is a short one." Emmet's mouth flattened as much as it was able, which stood out deeply. To see his brother frowning this much escalated this trouble from severe to critical. "Emmet?"
"Nii-san! You were supposed to stay with someone at all times." It was almost pleading, Emmet's eyebrows knitted tightly together. This close, Ingo could see his little brother's lip quivering just the faintest bit.
That was more than he could stand, so Ingo gently removed his brother's hands from his upper arms and took one of Emmet's hands gently into his own. "Come on. You can walk me back to the office, and we can talk there. Okay?" Emmet swallowed hard, using his now freed hand to tug his hat's brim down a little as he nodded.
Thankfully, no one intercepted them as they returned to their office. Shutting and locking the door behind them, it did not escape Ingo's notice that Emmet had not released his hand. "Now then," he started. "It seems I did not realize how much I had been troubling you. Could you explain what is wrong? I don't wish to upset you further."
Emmet rubbed at his eyes with his free hand, the white glove causing more irritation around his eyes than his bare hand would have. Except, Ingo knew it was not irritation from the rubbing, but the reddening strain of tears refusing to fall.
"I'm scared."
"Scared?" he echoed, squeezing Emmet's hand, trying to ground and comfort him in equal measure. Although he had reasoned that was the case, Emmet's confirmation still didn't sit well with him. What could possibly scare his twin in their beloved subway? Everything was as it should always be - there was no maintenance needed nor underway, the pokémon nest in one of the lower trafficked tunnels was being taken care of, and they'd quite handily provided their budget presentation to the Mayor and his public transit board.
But there was no doubting that Emmet was indeed scared. He'd not seen his brother this way since they were children. Emmet had never been the easily scared type, and the few times his precious twin was scared enough to cry had firmed Ingo's resolve to protect him. (Of course, he'd cried a few times himself, and Emmet had sworn to always protect him too. It was only fair, his twin had said.)
Emmet squeezed his hand back, and took a moment to compose himself from the brief surge of emotion that had overtaken him. After taking a calming breath, he tipped his hat brim back up. "I am Emmet. I have been having dreams. Ones where Ingo disappears."
Although Emmet said they were just dreams, the very idea made him feel as though his insides had liquefied and poured to his feet. What would cause him to disappear? What would happen to Emmet if he did? Surely it would not be a voluntary disappearance! And if the dreams were distressing Emmet as much as they were, then what harm would come to Emmet in order to disappear him?
Ah, but they were simply dreams.
"Emmet, you need not worry about me disappearing. I would never leave you alone! After all, we are a two-car train, are we not?" He took Emmet's other hand, their arms stretched out between the two of them to mimic the couplers holding train cars together. Emmet laced their fingers together, staring hard at their hands. "Are your dreams the same, always? When I'm alone, I disappear?"
Nodding, his younger brother finally brought his gaze up. "Ingo disappears in Gear Station. But no one ever knows how. Only that Ingo was alone." Emmet said it with such conviction, as if he'd lived the circumstances in his dreams over and over again. As if it had become real to him. The corners of his mouth dipped more as he spoke, a look that Ingo hated to see on his precious younger brother. Emmet was brightness and cheer and the warmth in Ingo's life. What could he do to convince Emmet that they were merely dreams, and would not tear them apart?
"Perhaps I can provide proof that our life is not like your dreams." When Emmet tilted his head in confusion, lips opening part way to question Ingo's statement, Ingo used that opportunity to duck his head in to kiss him. Emmet's dreams revolved around Ingo disappearing, and his little brother's responses had been to ensure Ingo was always with someone. But that "someone" varied, never just Emmet, so surely Ingo had not admitted his feelings in these dreams. It was the perfect proof, and allowed the feeling in Ingo's heart to finally be revealed to his twin.
Emmet froze in surprise, not revulsion, and Ingo wondered if Emmet had ever kissed anyone else. When Emmet relaxed and shut his eyes, leaning into the kiss as well, Ingo decided it didn't matter. What was important was that Emmet returned the kiss, and all of his tension had dissipated. Breaking the kiss, Ingo urged to put their foreheads together, but removing their hats to do so would mean he had to release Emmet's hands.
"Ingo..." Emmet said, voice full of quiet awe.
"I trust I never did that in your dreams?" Emmet shook his head, bashful smile replacing his worried frown from earlier. The pink of his cheeks looked infinitely better than the reddened eyes. But, he loved all parts of his little brother, so all of it was still lovely in its own right.
"No," Emmet agreed, squeezing Ingo's hands again. "Ingo did not kiss me in my dreams," he continued, biting into his lower lip.
"Should I do it again, just so you are sure?" Emmet's bashful smile became a bit more eager, a bit less hesitant. "Then I shall continue for as long as necessary, until you are confident." And he kissed Emmet until that smile was no longer burdened with sadness.
In the end, it was uncertain why Emmet even started having the repeating dreams about Ingo's disappearance. After a while, the dreams stopped, but to assure his twin, Ingo continued to avoid extended periods of being alone where he did not check in with someone. More often than not, the check-ins involved calling Emmet on his live caster, using the excuse that he wanted to see his little brother's cute face and tell him how much he loved him. Emmet appreciated it even after the dreams no longer haunted him, repeating the declarations of love.
Ingo did still wonder, though, why hearing about the dreams had caused such a fear response in his own heart.

No ok but I love pokemas for making it clear how much Emmet adores and idolizes Ingo and looks up to him, and so I bet that's a pretty damn rude awakening when his cool strong big brother goes missing, and obviously because something happened to him.
Like Emmet gets bitch slapped with that sudden realization a lot of people get when a loved one dies, that oh, bad things really do just happen sometimes. So I feel like post-isekai, he gets his first bout of actual, deep, real anxiety. Because a foundation in his daily life was that Ingo was strong and seemed unstoppable, but now there's this sudden crushing proof that even with all that, something can still happen at any time.
He's maybe not suddenly a nervous wreck 24/7 or anything, but there is a definite, palpable shift within him. And even after reuniting with Ingo, that's something that stays, and that Emmet has to learn to deal with. Because Ingo being back now doesn't erase the fact that he disappeared in the first place, or all the years he was gone, and the thought that something could happen again remains, as an ever-present anxiety.
And it's not just separation anxiety with Ingo, it's like. Everything. Emmet heard there's a storm brewing in the icelands, is Irida prepared for it, will she be ok? Ingo tells Emmet about how Irida is so used to the icelands and its weather that she once literally passed up a dip in the hot springs with him because it was "way too hot out" for that. It was snowing at the time. Emmet is still fidgety until Ingo takes him to the icelands as soon as the storm passes to see that Irida is ok.
Melli leaves Mt. Coronet to settle some diamond clan business in the mirelands, it's a long trip and he won't be back until after dark, is that safe? Melli has lived out there a long time, but it's still a mountain! With cliffs and boulders and sheer drops at great heights! Ingo ends up standing in front of Melli's hut with a lantern, nearly falling asleep standing up, waiting with Emmet for Melli to come home.
Akari sees them every few days, either on Mt. Coronet while she's on a survey, or in Jubilife when she's off work. If one of her surveys goes longer than it should, or if they go more than a few days without checking in with her, Emmet starts to get antsy, and has to talk himself down from going out to look for her because he knows that odds are, he'll see her sooner by waiting for her return rather than trying to find her in a place as big as Hisui.
He just gets nervous and anxious when he doesn't see someone for a while, or doesn't know if they're safe or not, and will remain keyed up in that state until he does know for sure. It's the Anxiety ☆
...Which is also why Emmet loves it when Ingo gets rough in bed and doms him within an inch of his life because it's a reminder that Ingo is very take charge and commanding and it makes Emmet feel like nothing could tear them apart again because Ingo would fight it and win thank you for coming to my TED Talk everyone annnnnnnd send

I should be figuring out how to use my twt (I only know how to use twt for my main stuff like mh and kaijus, so this is more confusing) for my proship content, but I'm thinking about a prompt idea of Hisui! Nobori (not fully amnesiac, but maybe 3/4 of it) keeping some of his memories of his and Kudari's relationship intact by a picture wallet he keeps in a pocket of his.
The picture wallet contains photos of their relationship as it progresses (their first date to their (what would have been their current wedding anniversary). Hell, if you want to make this even more sad, let's say he even has a family with Kudari (basically pictures of said family together and separate ones of their kiddos) and makes up for the loss of being a father through watching over the trainer and maybe even the Pearl Clan kids.
During a patrol, his picture wallet drops while patrolling and the trainer discovers said wallet while exploring. Curiosity kills the Meowth and the trainer decides to open it and discovers about Nobori's past (future?) relationship and just feels so bad for him and realizes 'damn, that man in white was also real?.' They return the wallet to him and he freaks out and goes Dad™ mode on them on why, where, when, what, how they even got his wallet. After the (unnecessary scolding) and explanation on how the trainer found it, they have a small convo between each other about his past (future?) (probably at a fire and lets say its night) and just, oof.
He had it all, but Arceus took it all away from him in a blink of an eye.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOUR SBMS VERSIONS of "Kiss" and "Surprise" <3
-Send me a “Kiss” and I’ll write a drabble about their first kiss
-Send me a “Surprise” and I’ll write a drabble about one character discovering something surprising about the other
Hiiiiiii Iyod! Thank you for requesting from me! 🥺 I hope you enjoy what I came up with. I had to think what I consider to be "my version" of Sbms, and I think this closest to what I think is "them."
Title: Our First Home Word count: 2330 Synopsis: The first time the twins move into their own space, they can kiss without worry of someone catching them. Dynamic: NoboKuda
~~*~~
Setting down a large box labeled 'bedroom,' Nobori cast a satisfied look around the room he stood in. Wanting to bring all the boxes in from the moving truck, he'd settled on placing everything in the living room. His twin, however, had decided instead to poke through particular boxes and had already started placing things around their new home.
It was difficult to understate just how excited the both of them were to finally have their own place together. On their pokémon journey as children, he and Kudari had traveled far and wide, settling down wherever they could. Sometimes they camped, sometimes they stayed with distant relatives, sometimes they boarded with people offering a place to rest. Each one offered their own interesting experience, and for a time they continued to explore even after they should have returned home.
It had been during one such excursion that he and Kudari had finally revealed their growing feelings for each other. With all of their time together, it hadn't come as a surprise to either of them, but it had been freeing to finally share what had bloomed in their hearts. However, even with the confession, they'd been too shy and nervous to do anything more than they usually did beyond stare into each others' eyes more. They already held hands often and slept in close contact - such a thing had never seemed out of place when they were younger, and it became a comfort neither one wanted to lose as they got older.
They never pushed the romantic expectations of their relationship while away from home, and it became nearly impossible to do so when they returned. Kudari firmly believed it was none of their parents' business who they were interested in, and thought it quite obvious anyway. Nobori, for his part, felt nervous to share something so personal with anyone other than his chosen person. He also felt it was an obvious conclusion that they would only grow closer with how compatible they were, and that they were not beholden to anyone to explain that.
Even so, this created an inability to express their deepened affection. Nobori became increasingly aware that the anticipation was for them both to find a separate lover and move to another location with that person. There was teasing from some of their friends to find the *same* lover, with the implication that many people would enjoy "the thrill" of twin lovers. Nobori was grateful, then, that Kudari did not reveal their relationship then, as his twin had expressed he wanted to when they spoke later. But it became more and more common to be asked what their plans were.
Finally, Kudari announced to anyone who asked that they were going to find their own place on their own terms! It gave the impression that they would continue as they had been, but his precious younger twin threw himself into deciding the perfect place for them to live together. Although he had absolute faith that Kudari would make good on his promise that "Nobori deserves the best," it was an absolutely monumental task to hunt for a place for them to live. One that Nobori couldn't allow his twin to do on his own.
With their combined efforts, they found the perfect apartment. More than anything, Nobori wanted Kudari to be as happy as possible. While Kudari searched for homes that Nobori would most enjoy, Nobori wanted to make sure Kudari's home needs were more than satisfied. It was almost like a fun little game, he thought. Kudari would excitedly buzz when he found a promising lead he thought Nobori would like, and Nobori naturally responded in kind.
Kudari had long wished for enough room to expand their pokémon team, and even to be the one growing them from their eggs instead of discovering them in the wild. Having their own place would allow him to devote as much space as he wished to that pursuit. It was a fun idea that Nobori enjoyed as well, and he knew he would appreciate a devoted approach if they wanted to be the strongest battlers out there.
Feeling a nudge at his shoulder, Nobori pulled himself out of his thoughts and fond memories. Lampent floated there, humming with curiosity, clearly wondering why he stood there staring at the massive pile of boxes and not moving. Reaching up to gently pat Lampent, he assured his dear first pokémon that he was simply taking in their change of scenery with the appropriate wonder and joy. Lampent did not seem to understand exactly what he meant, but seemed satisfied that he was alright. Once his safety was assured, Lampent calmly floated off to explore and possibly stake a claim on a sleeping spot.
Watching his pokémon partner hover down the hallway towards the rest of the apartment - no, *their* apartment- Nobori smiled. During the time it took to finalize the apartment contract and other such important factors, he had never let himself stop to think about the reality he and his beloved brother would find at the end of the process. If he gave himself the pause, he would have been driven to distraction out of giddiness, leaving the paperwork to his brother. And paperwork was Kudari's least favorite thing. But here, now, with the boxes of their belongings right in front of him, it was finally hitting that it was all real and finalized.
He and Kudari had their own place, where they were free to be as close as they wished.
Feeling warmth flutter in his chest at the thought, Nobori stepped through the piles of boxes to follow Lampent. Earlier, he'd been content to approach the furnishing of their new home in a different way from Kudari. His twins eager smile every time he popped back into the living room for a new particular item he wanted to place always brought a smile to his own face. But the need to be by Kudari's side had slowly been building as they worked separately, and he felt it was time to reunite.
Stepping down the hallway, he passed the two rooms that had been assigned as their individual bedrooms. Kudari was in neither, and he was not in the bathroom or dining room either. Lampent had found Eelektrik and was trilling and bobbing around as they both investigated the room that had been designated as a playroom.
Although his brother was not in any of the rooms he visited, he slowed at the entrance and allowed himself a moment to daydream. Each and every room had the potential to build great memories, and he was filled with limitless wonder over what he and Kudari could do together. What he hoped someday become memories rose to his mind: his twin at the bathroom sink, glancing at him through the reflection with light in his eyes; Kudari stepping out of his bedroom for help with his tie; a sleepless Kudari bursting into his bedroom with news of his success in breeding the perfect egg. Shared smile upon endless smile as they lived each day occupied his thoughts.
Finally, Nobori found his way to the kitchen. Hearing Kudari softly humming a pleased little tune, his voice was accompanied by a gentle clicking sound in random intervals. Unable to determine what could have been causing the sound, Nobori stepped fully into the kitchen. There, in front of the fridge and back to the doorway was his precious beautiful twin, placing things onto the fridge door's surface. The sight of Kudari turning to him was better than any of his daydreams - none of them had made his breath catch or his heart beat speed up. But Kudari's smile, easy but radiant, temporarily distracted him from his original purpose for entering the room.
They had found the perfect place to live together, but anywhere Kudari was would be home to Nobori. No matter what city it was within, whether large or small, permanent or temporary, he would never care as long as Kudari was by his side. Smaller places just meant he was closer to Kudari. Larger places meant they could gather more things as proof of their happy life. Cities would be close to their desired work. Towns and villages would allow them to be closer to wild pokémon to train against. A residence that was *theirs* would gather memories, and an ever-changing one would allow them to cultivate the experiences with greater flexibility. In fact, he would be hard pressed to find a singular complaint when-
"Nobori?" Kudari's little chirp of his name brought his attention back to the present, to the kitchen of their new home. Kudari stood expectantly with his hands at his side, eyes slightly narrowed in fondness as he understood exactly what Nobori was thinking. They were always so in sync, yet another thing he cherished about their relationship.
Still, Nobori felt the words coming from his mouth. "Sorry, I was just thinking."
Eyes closing completely, Kudari laughed brightly. "There's a lot to think about. But that can wait until we've unpacked, right?" Turning back to the fridge, he returned to what was making the clicking sound. Peeking around his twin's shoulder, Nobori finally discovered what it was that he was doing.
Magnets! A variety of different magnets were already smattered over the front of the refrigerator in a fanciful pattern. With a cursory glance, Nobori spotted one shaped like a joltik next to a litwick, some large blocky magnets in the shape of letters, and one shaped liked a train engine. A closer inspection drew his attention to two clay magnets, seemingly hand made, with the first character of each of their names painted on them. A heart magnet was placed boldly between them - such a thing could have never been on such public display anywhere else they'd stayed.
Nobori felt his heart speeding up, silently thankful that Kudari had thought this so important as to set it up immediately. Kudari's hands continued to busy themselves, and Nobori pulled his attention to the other magnets Kudari worked with. These were slightly different - black letters on white rectangles with singular words or short phrases printed on them. Mixed in amongst the longer words were individual letters as though Kudari had mixed together various kits.
'Kudari loves Nobori. Nobori loves Kudari. Together we make the perfect two-car train. Kudari will stay with Nobori forever." And then it was punctuated with yet another heart.
His twin fiddled with it some more, but kept going back to the same phrases. When Kudari reached forward to once more change the shape of the sentences, Nobori reached out and placed a gentle hand on his. Curious, Kudari lifted his eyes from the fridge as if requesting approval from Nobori over his attempts. And, perhaps, a little bit of Kudari believed it still inappropriate, despite being in their own home now. Nobori would not hesitate to soothe his fears.
"And Nobori will stay with Kudari forever," he assured, and the barest flicker of doubt that Kudari had harbored instantly vanished amidst the love and cheer in Kudari's eyes.
"Yeah! I am Kudari. I've wanted to put these up forever!" Pointing excitedly to the handmade magnets, he grinned. "I made these so long ago. But I wanted to surprise Nobori when I could display them for real."
It truly had been a surprise, for he'd never noticed Kudari making them. "Yes, we can now display whatever we want, since it's our house!" The moment a mischievous sparkle lit in his twin's eyes, he quickly corrected himself. "Though-! We must decide together! That means we will not be changing all the decor and appliances to be joltik themed." He had no choice but to chuckle as Kudari puffed his cheeks out in a fake pout. "There must be at least one or two litwick themed appliances for your aesthetic to be accepted. This is my one and only term."
Of course, he knew that Kudari's love of joltiks would never go that far.
...Right?
But Kudari was laughing again, stepping away from the fridge to wrap Nobori in a tight hug. "I am Kudari. I will show you just how good joltiks will look through the entire apartment." He squeaked when Nobori hugged him tighter in refusal. "Okay! Okay. No apartment full of joltiks!"
The daydreams that he'd been having combined with his laughing, squirming brother in his arms welled a sudden urge into Nobori's heart. Something they'd never been brave enough to do before was no longer a taboo. This was their home, and they could do as they wished.
So Nobori did as he wished.
He waited until Kudari stopped wiggling in his arms, looking to him with curiosity and perhaps something more. And when their eyes locked, Nobori leaned in and kissed Kudari. Feeling the buzz of excitement shiver all the way through his twin, he relaxed when Kudari pressed against him. Of course, there was no chance that Kudari would not reciprocate the kiss; Nobori knew that Kudari felt the same as he did, and yet the chance of bashfulness getting in the way was not completely out of the question. More than once, Nobori had lost his nerve when wanting to kiss his twin before. He could only imagine Kudari had gone through the same trouble.
But finally, they were able to kiss without concern. Seizing this chance, Nobori pulled back, only to try at another angle which earned him a pleased murmur from his younger brother. There was plenty of time to find the perfect way to kiss his other half, and he relished the possibilities there. All the things he could do with Kudari, now that the nerves had been banished, now that they had their very own place, were limitless.
And he and Kudari always strove to push past their limits.
