Headcanonizing that Mettaton is like 3 digits years old since he is a ghost is hilarious but it's even more if he doesn't and is just a very sensible 30 years old.

Hometown [Deltarune/Undertale AU]

     Asriel and Chara grew up together with Toriel and Asgore,when they were middle school age Kris also gets adopted,and Ralsei who is Asgores nephew comes to live with them because his parents were killed by the god damn mafia [run by the Spade King,whom Asgore went to school with].Once Kris and Ralsei get to be about high school age,Toriel and Asgore split up but not because of some awful event or whatever,they just decide to get divorced and its still a bummer because they always are but they are still on sort of good terms with one another and Asgore still gets to see his kids and hes not struggling financially or anything.

     Kris stays with Toriel but Ralsei goes to live with asgore since he isnt really related to Toriel at all,but the two of them just stay with eachother anyways,and Asgore and Toriel may as well have joint custody.Asriel decides to go to college,and Chara doesnt really want to go to college so they go to whatever city Asriel’s college is in and they rent an apartment together,Asriel does his school and Chara gets a job at a gas station so they can steal get free chocolate[don’t tell their manager].

     The summer before Asriel and Chara leave,and Kris and Ralsei turn high school age,Toriel adopts Frisk[that’s 5 kids now] and all of her kids get to spend a summer together.During this summer,Rouxls Kaard and lancer move to town as part of witness protection,Susie moves to town and wakes up alone in her house a week later,Alphys quits her job as a big time scientist and moves to town to replace the job of teaching the upperclassmen after the last person left [Who was a bit of a recluse,and nobody really remembers]and sans and Papyrus move to town,along with the grocery store that just appears? overnight???.

     Frisk is in Toriel’s class along with Lancer,Ice Cap,Muffet,and Monster Kid.Kris’ class is basically the exact same except Ralsei is in it and Monster Kid is not.Chara’s class consisted of Chilldrake [left town to become a social worker],Burgerpants[still working at ice-e’s],Clover[presumed to live in the forest now],the nice cream guy[also working at ice-e’s],Jerry[still around,unfortunately]and Asriel. Top Chef works in the school cafeteria,Papyrus becomes the janitor.For some reason,Undyne,in her infinite wisdom decides that the best cover for Rouxls Kaard,is the school principal,nobody is happy about this.

     Undyne has also been keeping a close eye on Susie,and sometime during the summer she has found out that Susie’s parents abandoned her,and has been going through all the paperwork to become Susie’s foster parent,and eventually ends up adopting Susie.They bond over violence and loving women,the relationship is more of a sibling type thing than a parent/child one.      And that’s basically it! there are few other details that don’t really fit into any one idea so ill just list them off here.

Malius[the hammer dude] lives in town and does odd jobs for everyone,hes just generally a pretty cool dude.

The school mascot is K.Round.

Mettaton is still a ghost,and he still lives alone,but eventually he will meet Alphys and get that sweet sweet robobody.

Napstablook doesn’t live in the town but he comes to visit Mettaton every once in a while,he spends most of his time running the family snail farm with their cousins [the ghosts that were in mad dummy and the ruins dummy]

 Alphys is into anime AND western cartoons,she has very mixed opinions on the Mew Mew franchise as a whole

Undyne meets Alphys at parent teacher conferences.

Jevil and Seam run a toy store/joke shop,Jevil is stable.

Muffet is a really rich kid and she doesn’t understand why her donuts aren’t selling??? 15 dollars is  a reasonable price for a donut right???

Papyrus does not yet know what spaghettis is,its only a matter of time.

Sans show up in a lot of places you wouldnt expect,like PTA meetings,and police debriefings,and why is he a substitute teacher??? nobody is happy about this but nobody attempts to stop him.

Since we dont really know what the difference between Darkners and Monsters is yet [though i have some theories] For the sake of this AU I’ll just say that there isnt any difference,and all the darkners are just monsters for now,there is no concept of Darkners and Lightners.
