I haven't been drawing at all recently and lowkey forgot how to 💀💀💀 So here's the best of the few sketches I did to get back into it

All of my non-twst ocs are old ones I've had for a while. I have considered making them into twst ocs too as an au or smt... Let's see what we have:

☆My first ever queer couple consisting of a butch bi ginger (Cassandra- though she prefers being called Casey- Russou) and a lesbian ex gymnast (CatherineHarris). Both are assassins (or spies? A weird mix of the two idk little me was cooking and the food was a mystery). Casey's a sniper who's tough as hell and will fight you in the alleyway, and Catherine is as elegant and charming as can be and you'll be quite seduced until poison gets slipped into your drink.

☆Twin brother (Alekai Snow) and sister (Chromespear Snow. I'm working on the name change, okay) from another planet. They're part of a species I called the Nocturi. Well, half Nocturi and half Solarian. Alekai's a doctor who was forcibly declawed and needs tech to help his fingers move bc it caused nerve damage, and Chromespear's a blacksmith, and she needed more development tbh but she was iconic

☆The boss of my two assassins who's just an incredibly superfluous, cartoony supervillain simply known as "The Director" (nobody knows his name and neither does he 💀) He's shipped with an irl friend's oc who's a mafia boss and they're both incredibly evil together

☆The powerful mage and general (Ephemeris Vikatte) who's got a whole *gestures* thing going on with Alekai. The two of them are basically just "enemies" (in a petty way) to friends to lovers. He's a bit of a dumbass tbh XD himbo energy

☆The guy who in retrospect is low-key a beta Silas. (Kurai Dusk) He's traumatised and tired but he loves his wifey to the ends of the earth. He's also the second in command to the Empress who I'm considering making a Queen instead because little Quinn did not understand what that title meant lmao

☆Another doctor guy (Assegai Copper) but he has anxiety and mommy issues and powerful magic and is trying his best. He's a small-town GP (like REALLY small-town. Like a village) and he accidentally saved an assassin named Crimson (unrelated to my other two assassins) who he has a situationship with now XD (I actually started writing a story for them when I was like... 12/13. Rewrite? 👀)

☆My beloved Empress/Queen (Achlys) who's the last of her species, and whose species in question I actually wanted to be a mimicry of the Nocturi. She has immensely powerful magic and control of shadows and the darkness (was known as "the Shadow Empress" Can you tell this was my edgy phase yet)

☆My mad scientist (Dr. Maddeline Kruger) who "killed" Catherine. Casey's been hunting Dr. Kruger down ever since, but she doesn't know Catherine is still alive. I'm probably gonna change this storyline there was a lot wrong in retrospect 💀

i did it again i sat on a draft for a million years

i haves rayman ocs heres my bunch of mostly just weird women. and not a single one of them is a rayperson

most of them are named by my friend because i cant name crap

this is the first one i had made, i brought her back years later with tweaks (and ive even drawn her more than twice now!)

typha (teye fa like the plant i named her after) is comically short for a globox person and is strangely antisocial for one too. she just can NOT stand other people and flips them off for bothering her (some people mess with her on purpose)

she lives in a hut in a swamp, theres a small community of other people there but she refuses to befriend any of them. shes annoyed by anyone and everyone. goes off to pick up some pickles or something and says as little as possible to the cashier and ignores everyone else

seemingly the only person she likes is this tiny little mosqito (which also has been around the whole time but i still never named) which also lives in this hut. she takes care of the mosquit but im not sure what the relationship here is

typha is not like. actively rude in the way glombrox is, she actively goes out of her way to AVOID people instead of messing with them

now all the other ocs are more recent. i originally made this one for a bestiary type thing that i havent done much with still, but i like the oc that resulted out of it

plume (Plume van Teenhoek) is a teensy biologist, intensely dedicated to documenting all the wildlife in the glade

shes also comically tall for a teensy (a bit taller than rayman). sort of less susceptible to back issues though because some of her relatives are nookins (nookins are just built different). the fact that shes so tall makes her almost as tall as typha though, which is nuts. like thats a globox species person and a teensy being basically the same height!

anyway plume is like. kind of unhinged. when shes not pestering other people with questions about their biology, shes traveling everywhere into dangers and putting herself into trouble just to find out stuff like the behavior of these robotic morays they have at the spy bases. nobody loves animals as much as this teensy. she would do anything for animals

she can be a bit scatterbrained when it comes to stuff that doesnt directly relate to biology though. and definitely doesnt know what a proper etiquette is

for both typha and plume i answered an oc questionnaire a while back so heres some highlights that describe more about them

2. Can they take care of a plant? What about a pet? What about a child? typha if only like… that little mosquit? idk what exactly the relationship is plume would in theory but shes too busy moving all over the glade studyidng other animals to take care of her own anything

3. Ask them to describe their love interest. typha: "No" plume: "study of organisms all across the glade! wait you didnt mean that"

7. Describe them in three words. Now let them describe themself in three words. typha: "short mean green" and "leave me alone" plume: "insane biology woman" and "[teensy genus name] [teensy species name]" (forgets the third word)

8. Do complex puzzles intrigue or frustrate them? i tink typha would be kind of frustrated but stubbornly keep going plume would be ecstatic to try and fgirue these out though

9. Do they empathize with non-sentient things (dolls, plants, books…)? typha … yeah sure somewhat plume only really if theyre like, biological living things ie plants

11. They’ve won the lottery. Spend, or save? typha lives in a swamp i dont know if she even knows or cares about the concept of money. so i dont know what she would do. she doesnt know what she would do either plume would use it to fund her research efforts

14. Would they agree with the term ‘guilty pleasure’? Do they have any? typha yeah. wouldnt be caught dead engaging in these ( i also dont know what they are ) but plume has absolutely 0 shame

15. What would they consider a waste of time– other than school or work? typha: other people. plume: having to wait to just get anywhere with nothing in particular happening

17. Do they like children? typha just finds them annoying. plume is very intrigued by the biological aspects of children and how they develop and stuff, also just finds them cute

19. Do they study before tests? Practice before job interviews? again typha lives in a swamp but i think she wouldnt care to do it until its too late. plume studies feverisjly for fun if its what she likes, but otherwise forgets to do it until its almost too late

30. What would they do if they knew it would be forgiven? i dont think typha would want to really do anything if she just doesnt like to interact with peopel so its not even just being mean to them or whatever plume would use the opportunity to really annoy someone with biology questions if she knew she would actually get answered and not shoved aside

and reiterated throughout the answers here is that neither of them are in a relationship, nor do they want to be in one. one of the only common traits they have with each other lmao (besides height)

orletta was originally also made for me and my friends' game concept (as a kind of replacement for red globox, and a playable red wizard at the same time) (to be clear this isnt a fangame concept, just Imagining A Really Cool Game That Could Exist In An Awesome Alternate Reality) but. yeah might as well be an oc

shes a red wizard. just kind of stoned all the time (often chews on strange plants) and is constantly zoned out. but like. not too much so she can sitll focus on platforming stuff (cuz shes from a ubiart 3 concept). uses spells to attack, but sometimes gets scared of bad guys and generally far less confident in combat stuff than globox is

shes short (noticeably taller than rayman but not that much; also noticeably shorter than globox even with ubiart sizing), still taller than typha is

theres also a grey mosqiter i have that i also didnt name (this ones bigger than typhas mosquito buddy). this one originated in an rp that me and my friends did (and hasnt really gotten any development since those)

this one is an office worker. too busy Working to care about gender. went on some wild adventures but would still prefer go back to office work. tendsszzz to ssszzzpeak like thiszssszzz. likes nectar. may drink blood but doesnt prefer it

The Origin

mermaid name pending (but a stupid idea i have is like. verdana or calibri or candara or helv or lucida). shes like a tour guide to her place (atlantis but with globoxes (thats from origins i elaborated upon it)) for any land people who might visit

likes land people in general. sometimes sits on rocks above water and does the whole siren song thing, except its to get the land people to come close so they can hang out with her and play like. Underwater Checkers

despite this she can NOT go on land, i mean she can breathe there just. cant move around (without crawling and potentially damaging her fins). sitting on a rock is about the most shes gonna get

weird aquarium fish ^

side note. Atlantis But With Globoxes has them all as merpeople. teensies live there too but still have legs and such and just had to make buildings encased in air bubbles for themselves (lake kingdom supe rmario odyssey). they all had a prosperous civilization on their island (on land) but had to quickly adapt when some other great spirit got mad at them and sunk their island underwater forever. it was long ago so red fish lady here already comes from several generations of mermaids

also this is all in sea of serendipity. so red wizards are decently used to mermaids showing up (and pestering them about how to fish better)

also tail fin is horizontal, like on whales rather than fish. the paired back fins are more on the underside of the body, on the beige portion, i just accidentally got it wrong in one of the drawings here

pirate captain (i think the names bonny, feels a bit on the nose though) literally lost her eye, and sails the glade to find it (but its been so long shes mostly just sailing for the sake of it at this point). and keeps being in scraps with sea creatures in general, therefore numerous scars, even more under the cloak. shes actually far less threatening than she might seem at first though

also has a pet glute like a shoulder parrot. it doesnt do much other than caww(?) at random times and steal the leftover fish reserves. AND it eats the rats that get on the ship which IS pretty useful

best way i had to describe pirate lady here is basically rockhopper from club penguin. same type thing of being nice and not actually doing any piracy. its more of an aesthetic i guess. and the pirate accent she ABSOLUTELY has the accent

pirate sidekick to the above ALSO no names yet because i am bad at names missing their left (non dominant) forearm and hand, lost it at some point during childhood for reasons unrelated to sea creatures. has a prosthetic forearm and hand that functions with magic. they still use their right arm more for gestures and other things bc it takes less effort to use (and also just out of habit)

(to be clear with the drawing. the right hand is intact i just didnt draw the thumb, they have all 4 fingers on it)

otherwise theyre like. completely non threatening. very friendly and spends a lot of time reading whatever books are on the ship, can read incredibly water damaged texts somehow. you look at what theyre reading (just reading casually with no frustration whatsoever) and it looks completely unintelligible. like matey how are you reading that

manages to avoid trouble from sea creatures by running very fast. also only kinda above average height for a teensy

they have to kind of force the pirate accent but bonnys(?) accent is totally natural

quidee (named after a spore creature because of course). i made her in starbound. sillyfunny. dual axe wielder but often uses some other weapons (mostly this thing). has a pet walking shell, which randomly changed colors once (which is my justification for the fact that i completely broke it while trying to change something in the mod and the game just spawned a new walking shell when i undid the changes)

as per my starbound mod lore, is from the glade but volunteered to be transported to lord knows where in space alongside other glade people, and she kept getting in Situations

(i only recently made her not ass naked so shes ass naked in this video)

in any case shes having fun on this random aimless journey beating up bad guys and talking to random bird or ape or sun people etc. and she made a village to get new buddys from the glade : ) (theyre tenants)

also quidee has one crewmember so far. her name is cookie and she is a dumb of ass and also goes :D all the time

her first appearance was in a quest where one of the tenants (lee, hes a green guy of the same species) requested to find her because she somehow managed to get lost deep in an avian tomb (where literally every quest npc on this planet winds up being for some reason)

then another tenant (who was a teensy, mouche) wanted to become cookies bestie (by getting me to give her a. single gold ingot, which is like, not rare at all) and THEN cookie literally immediately after had a quest for ME (to beat up unrelated avians in the same avian tomb) and then i completed it and she decided she wanted to be a crewmember now. so i gave her some clothes i had on hand (i dyed the shirt blue though) and i immediately love her forever

she is stupit<3 as ive said. and she has a big shotgun and shes really good at knocking back enemies with the big shotgun

also that is the 6th or 8th (depending on whether you count the quasi ocs or not) addition to my collection of Women Globols. i am the #1 worldwide export of ocs that are globoxes and women

also theres my sona which is a teensy (and the shortest of the bunch cuz im short) but the sona doesnt have any lore or anything. its just something to put on a pfp to represent myself . as a teensy

The “Circus Ring” is a large “organization” with factions all around the country, doing activities that are more than morally correct and ruling over cities and counties with an iron fist.

The “ringleader” of this so-called “Circus” is a man that goes by the name of “Caine,” rumored to be a terrifying and strict man…

Although everyone who works under him knows that’s only the side he shows in the most dire of situations. In reality, he’s a big goof who doesn’t seem to take anything seriously, and some of his faction leaders seem to dislike him for that same reason…though he does seem to have everything under control, so nobody outright complains to his face.

After a string of events, Pomni finds herself at a table in a meeting with the Ringleader and his faction leaders. Learning that her family was connected to this “circus,” and that Caine owes her late father a favor, he decided to take her under his wing!

Welcome to the family, “Jester”…

So this AU is *supposed* to be centered around Pomni as the main character, but since the Jax Virus™️ infected my brain, I mostly have stuff about him (and my oc Luna)

Jax — “Hat Rabbit” (idk maybe i’ll change the nickname i’m bad at names)

The youngest of the leaders means being the least mature of them all as well, though this rabbit is not the newest. Jax has been in the business for several years now and has forcefully worked his way up to the top, catching the watchful eye of Caine, who decided the young man was worthy enough to be put in charge of a faction. Leader of the “Violet Rabbits”, Jax wants to one day be the most feared and respected out of all the groups. Overthrow the Ringleader himself? Maybe one day. But, for now, this rabbit wants all eyes on him.

Jax owns several “fronts”, businesses that look normal on the outside, but hide secrets and shady businesses practices deep within. His favorites are “The Lavender Cottontail” bar and “The Rabbit Hole” casino. He does love games, after all…

Recently there’s been a newcomer to the circus. Jax isn’t very happy about this new event, though one wonders if it’s because Caine wants Pomni to look over the late “Kaufmo’s” faction…

Luna — “Patch Bunny”

Luna joined the “Circus Ring” some time before Kaufmo passed away and is the newest family member. Well, she was, until Pomni came around. After being under Caine’s mentorship for some time, he felt she was ready to join one of the factions. Deciding that Jax should start learning how to train new members and that Luna was capable enough, Caine appointed her to work under Jax for the Violet Rabbits.

So far, they haven’t killed each other.

Luna’s managed to make herself Jax’s right-hand-woman, her skills and intellect unable to be ignored or brushed aside by the rabbit. Some rumor that she’s planning to overthrow him and make herself leader of the Violet Rabbits instead…but those are just rumors.

fathers side:

-can transform into a large wolf-like beast averaging around 115ft tall (2nd photo :P)

-can also transform specific body parts/limbs by choice

-gains hyper abilities such as strength, stamina, senses, pain tolerance, etc.

-transformed body parts will heat up and sometimes turn red from irritation (once returned to normal form)

-if transformed for too long she will overheat and fall ill w/ fever (dangerous overuse can potentially leave burns)

mothers side:

-vines with flowers on the end

-based on whatever drink she's consumed, the flowers can emit a pollen which leaves effects on those nearby

-only one effect can be used at a time

-effects will range from victims feeling high (hallucinogenic trip or merely dazed out depending on exposure), nausea, dizzy, or falling unconscious

-flowers can emit this pollen for a half hour after consumption, and effects will last upwards of five hours

-the vines are prehensile and can be controlled, strong enough to carry her weight

-if broken from her back the flower will immediately die

-lasting heat from her transformation will cause the flowers to wilt and become useless

-prolonged exposure will also cause the pollen to take effect on her as well

-the vines do not grow in her wolf form and are too weak to support her

backstory stuff:

anyways she turns 6 and wooo! her quirk comes in!! us gov finds out abt the potential of her power and stages an accident killing her parents D: they steal her away to the states and she's forced to join their specialized child military (like the hero commission?? i think idk i haven't been in touch w mha for like a year)

she trains a whole bunch and is mindlessly loyal cause she doesn't have anywhere else to go. also apart of a small squad that does super duper special stuff. her entire squad perished except her by the time she's 13 so she's reassigned partners with another girl, ririka!! (i'll prob post my stuff of her tmr :DD)

they become lifers! when they turn 15 they get orders to enroll in UA due to suspicious activity (usj incident). nobody knows their real identity except for nezu and aizawa.

that's basically it in summary!! it feels so silly writing this but honestly who cares :P PLWASE ask me any questions abt her!!! also writing may be coming soon wink wink ;) byebye!!

question for one scene during a floyd x reader oneshot

trying to decide in arnolfini portrait if i want to have a sex scene between floyd and a random nobody …. not even an named OC just some body at a club … it’s an x reader but floyd and reader are divorced and it’s floyd finding fleeting comfort in another’s embrace …. idk

because there is something tragic about trying to masquerade another person as your true love when you can’t have your true love, but i also don’t want it to seem a moment out of character for floyd

he still wears his wedding ring and has not signed the divorce papers, he’s still very much in love with shrimpy, but i can maneuver my way around pushing him to be sad enough that he chooses heartless sex if only to fantasize during it that he gets to have you again ….

arguments for why it could be in character: floyd is fickle and known to fall into bad moods, this would be one of his worser ones. it’s a big mistake but floyd makes those!

i like the trope but i don’t want to mess up the character’s personality

So uh. Here’s an updated version of my YB oc, my Y/N sona, whatever you wanna call it. You know the drill, if you want the lore dump it’s under the cut (and it is very very long, have fun 👋)

Okay SO basically Tiz works at like. A gas station with a kitchen in it, where they primarily make pizzas but also make sandwiches n shit. And in this AU TK also works there. It’s not terrible, it’s down the road from her apartment, but also yk, it’s a minimum wage job.

One day, while she’s working, she ends up taking the order of this tall bald dude, and she promptly forgets about him once she gets home. But then he starts showing up more. Like. Every single shift more. She doesn’t find it suspicious, but obviously all of her coworkers are like ok what the fuck is this dude’s deal, and she doesn’t even know his name cause she always puts him down as Guest in the system when she takes his order. She’s literally just happy to get any sort of positive attention, and this man provides in SPADES, to the point where she starts looking forward to seeing him.

Aside from her job, she lives in an apartment with two of her friends who I also drew.

Jaron is kinda like the housewife of the three, he keeps things neat and tidy and cooks most of the time. Marnie’s the one who covers most of the expenses since her job as a tattoo artist pays pretty well, but she does also cook meals when Jaron needs a break. Tiz is the comedic relief, she’s like a little gremlin who appears from her cave once in a while to entertain her two roommates. “Where’s Lucy” idk I don’t really care about Lucy sorry guys.

Don is still the landlord though, and Tiz has a MASSIVE crush on him, she’s always been into scruffy dilfs so she cleans her room extra nice and even showers every time he comes over for an inspection, even though she knows her chances with him are microscopic. Mostly because. She doesn’t really talk to him. Peter knows about her crush since he reads her therapy journal, so rest in peace Don you will be missed ✌️

Personality wise, Tiz is very shy. The only time she really feels comfortable talking to people is at work as long as the customers ask her questions she can answer. For her coworkers, it takes a bit of time for her to warm up to new employees, but once she finds a rhythm she becomes quite the chatterbox. Besides that, she doesn’t leave her room often, and speaking of her room it’s an absolute mess. Hardly ever does she do her laundry, and it also takes lots of goading from her roommates to get her into the shower. But she’s quick-witted, which makes her good at coming up with punchlines on the fly, and she’s also very vulnerable with the people she talks to, so she’s usually seen as quite approachable.

In terms of her love life, she dated one person online years ago, and that’s about it. She’s never had her first kiss, she’s never. Done things to herself. She’s never opened herself up to the idea of a real life romance, because she ultimately sees herself as unlovable. Her stomach is too pudgy, her face is too round, her legs are too hairy, she’s much too anxious, etc etc. And on the topic of anxiety, since she sees herself as unlovable, she would most likely be a very clingy partner, no matter how much she wishes to reel herself back. “Is he cheating? I wouldn’t blame him. He could never love me. Nobody could. This isn’t gonna last. He’ll soon realize how much of a mess I am and leave. It’s only a matter of time.” At this point the only way she could see herself getting a boyfriend is if he literally broke into her room and

You can recognise my writing by: The temptation to insult my own writing is so, so strong, but I don't mean to insult anyone who reads my stuff and enjoys it so I have to be nice. Hm. I don't know. "The way I write dialogue / inner reflection" is vague, but it's all I've got.

My most controversial take (current fandom): You guys (gender neutral and vague) can't call that shit self-insert if it's a non-human Tav (or Durge). It's first or second person writing (often, and not even always lately???), and x Reader fic, but self-insert To Me means that either any reader or at least the author has to be able to picture themself Being Inserted into the story. I haven't seen 1 isekai situation using this tag, which isn't a requirement, but you're giving the self-insert tiefling-tails and backstories, which is fun, but that's not a self-insert to me.

Top three favourite tropes: Slowburn (or emotional slowburn, sexually complicated), Hurt/Comfort (emotional or physical, whatever), Battle Relationship.

What’s your current writing mood (10 – super motivated and churning out words like crazy, 0 – in a complete rut): How current is current? Because potentially 0/10. I'll say 4/10 though.

🍓 How did you get into writing fanfiction?

By loving the story so much I wanted to be in it, lol. My first few attempts at writing ff were with self-insert OCs, but that was in my native language and mostly unpublished. Im trying to recycle some of those ideas, but Im not sure how will it go.

As for fics written in english and without OCs - like everyone else, by reading other fics.

🍇How many fandoms have you written in?

If we count the first few attempts - I took a look at my docs and counted 7 fandoms. Some parts of those were published somewhere on the web but I genuinely forgot about their existence.

If we count fics published recently on tumblr/ao3 - only HP.

🍈 How many years have you been writing fanfiction?

Technically? A decade. But idk if that counts if it wasnt published and probably never will be and had self insert OCs.

I started writing my first fics in english after I got into that one fandom which was during the pandemic, so that would be around 3-4 years - but posting since… December 2023.

🍎 Do you read or write more fanfiction?

Trying to fit too many things into one project that do not fit bc they are too self indulgent or just bad writing bc require sacrificing either plot or characterization. Being too ambitious, having too much plot that needs too much effort to make it make sense, and will not pay off bc nobody will read it (bc idk if i will ever finish it. and if i do it will not be written in english).

Just one? There are so many weird things Ive been researching or googling.

Did they have 3-in-1 shampoos in 1979. Language of flowers. What the ancient roman beds looked like. Names and their meanings. Ancient roman’s attitude towards (homo)sexuality. Phosphorus and phosphorescence (this was literally to check if this one sentence in canon is factually correct). Did ancient romans have pets. Different gems’ looks, usage and meanings. Ancient Roman dog names. Different astronomical events / discoveries in years 1975-1980 and in year 1957. Layout of certain types of houses.

Any comment is a nice comment <3 tho I like to be let known the person felt something while reading bc its still so abstract and bizzare for me that it happens 😅

🍐What's the most fringe trope/topic you write about?

As you can see from the research question I have an ancient roman au wip. I was genuinely surprised there were only a few ancient roman aus in the marauders fandom.

This one published wip is about a surprise pregnancy that isnt immediately regarded as great news and celebrated (which i think isnt a common way of approaching the topic.) I also wanted to write sth about abortion and miscarriage but i dont know if I will get around to actually writing those.

And Im trying to recycle my old OC-focused long fic which also is deeply unpopular (i understand why but also i feel like im fighting in the trenches)

🥭What is the hardest type of story for you to write?

Thats about something. Has a deeper meaning and everyone in the comments talk about how deeply they were moved by it. Or how clever the plot was. Or how the deeply and insightfully the characters are analysed. Or how beautiful the language is. Or. Like. Is written and finished and publishable.

🍏What is the easiest type?

All I know is funny dialogue, self indulgent fluff and this one type of hurt/comfort that is also super self indulgent. Also putting all the effort into fitting in as many references / easter eggs as you can that i know nobody will notice.

🍑Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?

On my laptop, usually sitting at my desk, or on the balcony if the weather permits, whenever I feel like ignoring the things im supposed to be doing instead, I guess.

So far I’ve been using google docs but I’ll be probably moving on from them in the nearest future. For organizing ideas/wips and short fics I use Notion - its good for organizing but not that good as a writing program.

🍋What is something you've been too nervous/ intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?

Smut, lol. Also more taboo topics like abortion and miscarriage mentioned above.

🍇What made you choose your username?

I translated my first ever username to English. ok, no, my first ever username was Leila Moonlight and i still think its pretty but now i also think its cringe. Tho I was - what? - 11? 12? So maybe I can be forgiven that it looks like a HP character. Nocturnal Phantom - the username actually use now - is still a bit cringe, I picked it bc I was a night owl (lol) and tried to lean into this nighttime-spooky aesthetic, but also its tumblr so im embracing it. I recently picked a nickname Nyx for my mutuals' convenience - and that is the greek goddess of the night. I commit to the bit.

What I like the most about your writing

First off: you write fantastic dialogue and awesome banter!

But even more than that, the thing I love about your writing is that you are SO good at writing emotional complexity - both in your silly/funny stories and in the ones that make me cry. By which I think I mean you always write characters simultaneously feeling multiple things at once, often in ways that they aren't even fully aware of themselves. Like .... you're good at writing the conflict between the words people say (and the fronts they put up) versus the underlying feelings that they're either pushing away or leaning into, if that makes sense? Which works so well because you use descriptions of actions/physical sensations just very well and very judiciously. It's a lot of 'show don't tell' kinda work and its amazing.

Also, you're very very good at having a sort of lyricism/poetic-ness - with repeated phrases or callbacks and such - about your prose that just makes the vibes of your stories like ... really rich and satisfying (like a good stew... if it was also a piece of music? idk. I'm mixing my metaphors here.)

Hmm. Things I want to talk about from my recent fics. Well. First of all I think the proposal in the boot fic is very sweet and i am really fond of that one and almost nobody has read it and they should because its cute.

And I really liked writing the Elaine scene in the jancy breakup fic, I never really write OCs and she only exists for like a paragraph but I am kind of obsessed with her. Also just that fic in general I think is sort of interesting structurally and I think I captured the mid twenties lostness of it pretty well.

And tbh I really enjoyed playing with their dynamic in the falafel smut? It's the smuttiest thing I have ever written but I feel like there is interesting character stuff happening there that made it fun to write in a way I often do not find smut writing to be.

Had the craziest experience of joining a “superhero roleplay server” for the first time in a while, one not distinctively Marvel or DC just kinda it’s own universe. It was considered “sci-fi” and so I didn’t really see any sci-fi elements really other than the city itself that it took place in but that was whatever

Things hit the fan when I started asking questions about the lore. Namely that if people born off of this island could have super powers (they called it “vigor” and also called their drug “vigor” which seems like it’s just a knock off version of Compound V from “The Boys”). When I tell you these people got so mad so fast.

Nobody on staff could give me a straight answer, and I think most of these people were in high school given their answers. They said no, if you’re born off the island, even if your parents were born on the island, that you could not have powers. I was confused because their written lore said it was “in their blood”. But when asked if it was genetic, they said no. Which is REALLY confusing bc if it’s in your blood when you’re born then it would be genetic.

I pressed a little further to ask why that is, and they dead ass told me “lol no we can’t tell you bc that’s something they’re finding out in the lore later” which is code for “we don’t have a reason yet, stop asking questions”. When something is the BASE REASONING in your RP server, maybe give it some sort of basis other than “people born here have magical powers”

So then I was like “okay so secretly mutated character is a no-go then, okay”, but someone else kept asking questions bc we were both GENUINELY CONFUSED on this whole “it’s not genetic but its in your blood”, bc they compared it with having mutations when you’re a baby. And I was literally trying to wrap my head around this bc no one was saying the same thing.

Eventually, I just got fed up bc the staff started blatantly ignoring me and the other person asking questions and left. My friends sent me this lovely screenshot from after I left.

Mind you, I did leave after “all that” bc no one of staff could give a clear answer on LITERALLY ANYTHING. It took a whole day to get an answer to a SUPER simply question about powers. ALSO I said that if the OC was too similar to X-Men I would 100% be willing to change it bc I had a back up character in mind anyways! Additionally, this shows me they did not read my powers at all bc I stated multiple times this was a NIGHTCRAWLER LEGACY I was looking to import over with any needed changes if she was too similar to Nightcrawler at the end of the day.

Like how are you going to insult me and be wrong about the x-men 😭😭

They then also gave me the most generic copy paste backstory for my character. “Well if you don’t want to be born on Selva, you can have magic instead of vigor” Cool, I asked how she would get her appearance with just magic alone. They just said “freak accident or spell gone wrong idk”

They had also proceeded to deny someone else’s character for assumptions THE STAFF made about them. Also had a ranking system that they didn’t have explained anywhere. Oh btw did I mention that in order to have a group of vigilantes you had to BUY IT WITH THE ECONOMY BOT? Bc god forbid you don’t want to join their one group.

Funniest thing was, when ranting about it in another RP server, someone told me their friend joined the server a while ago and the staff were all condescending and rude towards them. Can’t say I expect less from people who quite literally ignore everything they are asked to talk in general about the words for porn categories 😭

The server is called Selva City, so y’all can avoid it like the plague bc holy shit that was probably the worst RP experience I had in FOREVER.

so i already spoilered some of the things this peculiar group of Sad Wet Men have to offer but i wanna start with the running back or as i (the name generator i ran through 437 times.) called him, duane cameron. he's a rb who got drafted in 2011 in the 2nd round bc i just can't let go of my senior citizens (terms and conditions apply i KNOW 34 isn't old) to the panthers. i don't know if they were actually in need of a rb at that time but fuck it they have one now and he's gorjus.

he's known cam (1st ovr pick yannooooo) since high school (after moving away from canada...but that's a whole thing i don't even wanna get into that) and when they got drafted to the same team cam was more enthralled by it than duane but hey he'll have to live w that now. no eli manning shenanigans you are STAYING THERE

n e ways he played for the panthers for a couple seasons and he was always in the top 10 rb conversations (from 2012 onwards bc the only thing people remember him for in 2011 is getting batista bombed by jj watt). he won opoy in 2014 for the first time and repeated in 2015. yk what also happened in 2015.

bc i am chronically living in the past and i'll never stand for the injustice that was dealt on that particular day in 2016, of course my 6'7 babygirl (don't question the dimensions. just Don't.) was the missing piece to the panthers super bowl and they do win that shit fuck you and your big ass forehead peyton. duane also wins sbmvp bc of his outlandish 377 yard performance (I FUCKING WARNED YOU) but you could expect that

n e ways after an easy repeat in 2016 (julio i wanted you to have this so bad but...the Narrative) and some drama in 2017 (mainly due to cam making the bail for no fucken reason) my boy finally hung up the boots in carolina and signed with the ravens because i am a biased little fangirlie and i want my team to have everything. he won the chip in 2019 w the murder birds and maybe sorta somewhat did it again in 2022 but shhhh

so in my last post i did mention a 2nd oc who's a social experiment. well his name is ansis knight (that was NOT my idea btw i asked my brother to give me a name for a cornerback and this is what he came up with) and he's a social experiment in the sense that he's literally german. like his dad is american and everything but the dude grew up in Heidelberg, schönste Stadt im Land.

as i said he's a cb & plays for the eagles as of right now and he's very. idk. he's a dumbass and he does things he shouldn't do a lot of the time but Never On The Field. on the field he's the most annoying little bastard (especially for qbs bc for SOME FUCKING REASON he's everything everywhere all at once and they can't escape him) and wrs have a burning hatred for him (so do i). but off the field he's just this very Peculiar Personality and nobody knows what his deal is except amon-ra bc out of all the wrs he bothers every week amon-ra gets the most of it. you can imagine how he reacted when he saw his week 1 matchup last season

not a lot of history on him bc he's still fairly new but i'll just say he's my weirdest saddest wettest football guy and i love him very a lot

i'll take away first that he's shrunk a bit (6'10 is ENOUGH, jfc) and he's an edge rusher now which means he's the biggest menace to society the world has ever seen. he was drafted by the colts in the 6th round after a solid college season (UNDERDOG STORY RAAAAHHHHH) but they traded his ass to baltimore (eheh. hey) after an...interesting 2021 season. let me explain por favor

basically, he was tackled pretty fucking hard at one point (however hard you can hit a 6'10 dude who's built like a fucking wardrobe) and hit the ground awkwardly. @ the beginning he thought it was just a concussion and bc it was right ahead of bye week, he came back the next game. in THAT game tho he collapsed on the field and when they did a scan on his ass they found that a blood vessel exploded in his brain which caused intracranial hematoma (inner bleeding in the brain for all you non googlers). my man basically died for a second and he didn't play another game afterwards, but in 2022 he came back w a vengeance and he made joe burrow's life HELL in week 5 (and the wildcard game)

i don't know why i went THAT hard on cole's injury i just thought that i was coddling these men too hard and needed one of them to SUFFER. i mean duane already did for the duration of the 2018 season but i needed PHYSICAL SUFFERING i needed there to be BLOOD.
