From the L’eau Est La Vie Camp’s Facebook Page:
Bail has been set at a total of $63,500 for the four water protectors arrested yesterday. All four are facing trumped up felony charges.

These protectors were peacefully stopping illegal construction of the Bayou Bridge Pipeline in the Atchafalaya Basin when they were charged at and violently attacked by police and workers from Energy Transfer Partners.
We had permission to be on the land from the landowner and we were breaking no laws. But ETP does NOT have a legal right to build on that land.
You can see pictures of the attack here: http://bit.ly/ETP_Attack
***
The Bayou Bridge Pipeline is the tail end of the Dakota Access Pipeline and would connect is the final piece of ETP's scheme to bring oil from North Dakota to export terminals in Louisiana.
For over two years we have been resisting the project tooth and nail. Now that the project is delayed and behind schedule, ETP is getting desperate in their attempts to silence us. But we won't back down.
Please DONATE if you can: gofundme.com/nobbp

There is a water protector camp being established RIGHT NOW to oppose ETP's planned 162 mile crude oil pipeline across Louisiana, called the Bayou Bridge Pipeline. Please share this!
If you can, donate to their YouCaring or order from their wish list to support their work.

#Repost @cianwestmoreland (@get_repost) ・・・ I’m in southern Louisiana where Energy Transfer Partners is destroying the bayou for oil that will flow from the Dakota Access Pipeline. It’s all for exports. An alarming 50 percent of the world's wetlands have been destroyed in the last 100 years, threatening human welfare and at a time of increasing water scarcity. Wetlands prevent flooding by holding water much like a sponge. By doing so, wetlands help keep river levels normal and filter and purify the surface water. Wetlands accept water during storms and whenever water levels are high. When water levels are low, wetlands slowly release water. Stream channelization, dam construction, discharge of industrial wastes, petrochemicals, municipal sewage and runoff in urban and agricultural areas are all things affecting wetlands everywhere. As it stands, there’s already an area the size of New Jersey off the coast of Louisiana that hypoxic, meaning they are void of enough oxygen to support sea life. The area along the Mississippi River between Baton Rouge and New Orleans is called “cancer alley” due to the 150 plants and refineries that line the banks. The towns that occupy this region are very poor and mostly black. Energy Transfer Partners has one of the worst records of spills and not properly compensating people who are directly affected by it. There’s people living 30 feet away from it an aren’t even getting compensated for Windows the construction workers shattered on their homes. It’s time for people in America to call bullshit on what is happening to the environments that sustain us. This isn’t making America Great Again, it’s robbing from tomorrow to pay for today. We don’t need more pipelines, we need to put that money in renewable energy to create energy redundancy. Please learn about the different pipeline struggles and how pipelines affect the communities that have them running through their property #waterislife #nobbp #noetp #stopbayoubridgepipeline
