Check your Installed Apps for an app called ‘Android System SafetyCore’ (Settings > Installed Apps). If it is there, IT HAS BEEN SHADOW-INSTALLED WITHOUT NOTIFICATION OR CONSENT AND LOOKS AT YOUR PICTURES. < as well as this it has also been reported that it drains battery
DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY, IT IS SPYWARE!!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.safetycore <- it wont show up in searches so use this link!

i really think it would help reduce my stress levels if someone would just go elbow deep in my wires and fix them up. adjust them to make sure they're all in the right spot, maybe yank em or tease my ports while you're in there. just routine maintenance >_<
actually maybe force a reboot too. open up my cpu and dust it off? do whatever you want to me while i'm shut down and maybe just test my sensors once i'm back online to make sure everything's working right

gotta love how the more and quicker my technology breaks the more I'm inclined to never use anything that's smart again

The term "bloatware" is usually used to mean software that is considered unnecessary or unwanted by the user, often referring to various programs pre-installed by the hardware manufacturer, but never actually used by the consumer.
I can imagine "bloatware" being a particularly rude insult in the Tron universe. Programs are usually portrayed as building their identities and sense of self-worth around the idea that their functions are important to the Users. Suggesting that your function is unnecessary and unwanted, that you're just taking up precious disk space and isn't part of the "great plan" of the Users, would be a horrible accusation.
Maybe it could even be a slur that Programs use against ISOs, since many consider them to be without function or purpose.

My four year old laptop has been developing issue on issue on issue. The bottom case broke and has to be used only on a flat surface. It kept running slower and slower, then started overheating and bluescreening regularly. For months it wouldn't start up at all, then randomly did one day and hasn't faked its own death since.
I didn't do anything about the broken case but I ran many different windows bloatware removers, permanently disabled the touch screen, and uninstalled and disabled anything that ate up the CPU on start-up that I couldn't turn off in settings. Tried many times to uninstall Edge (damn you Windows) and finally decided to replace the broken case and upgrade the RAM as a final hurrah before I start looking for a new laptop. Combined cost of $40 for the 8gb of RAM upgrade (from 4gb) and case, plus my high nerves at never having done repairs before.
Well I did it. And it's running much better! I found a few more CPU gobbling windows bloatwares to delete as well and it's running like a dream.
but I'm even more afraid it's going to poop out now because 😬 when I opened up the laptop I saw that the CPU, which is integrated into the motherboard and cannot be replaced or upgraded, looks like this:

I am 100% sure it is not supposed to look like that.

truly so baffling to me to hear people complain about their electronics like my coworker was complaining that her 2017 Mac was so slow its barely functional and it’s like what do you MEAN your 8 year old Mac is dead? mine is from 2013 and runs flawlessly?? what are you doing to your $1000 machine ??? filling it with peanut butter and TikTok viruses?????
#and I’m fairly callous with mine. I’ll download anything. (although I am a tech guy so like I can think critically but#I do tend to download a bunch of random shit from like Reddit threads and forums lol) and yet my Mac is like practically mint.#his only crime is sometimes he dies at 20% and gets hot and can’t run 32bit programs (<apple’s fault)#he’s still running max graphics stardew valley with 900 mods and Minecraft mid graphics with 200 and like 30fps (<good for modded mc)#Apple truly making solid products considering every midrange windows pc I’ve used became garbage in like 4-5 years 🫥#ive spent more on my 4 windows PCs in the last 20 years than this one Mac that will probably keep trucking for another 10 years.#Like sorry im not an apple freak but considering how many devices I’ve bought used and fiddled with…… kind of incredible how Apple has#somehow managed to come out on top in the longevity/ease of use/privacy departments.#if windows didn’t force you to update and use their bloatware bullshit and not let you CONTROL THE MACHINE YOU BOUGHT id be less mad#but every time I use win 10 or 11 I want to shoot myself in the head. win1011 softwares practically feel like malware.#a day in the life of steeve#only reason I would ever have a windows device is to play sims 2. (works on Mac but no utilities which are indispensable these days).#and I’m thankful Emily has a top tier gaming laptop for me to use for sims <3#if I ever need another pc I think I’ll venture into Linux. my steam deck runs Linux and it feel so pleasant and friendly compared to win11.

when I was a little kid I was always deeply proud of how neatly organized my computer was. My downloads folder was always empty, everything sorted into its place. Everything was organized so that I could find it in seconds, deep in nested folders.
I cannot begin to describe the resentment I harbor towards Microsoft and cloud storage in general for destroying this for me. I have tolerated OneDrive for too long. I have purchased a 16TB external hard drive. I can get it back. I can get it all back

is it possible to build something that looks like a laptop but actually it's just a shell that connects to a pc tower hidden away behind the couch or something?
because looking at newer laptops, they've gotten rid of even more pieces [why is half the keyboard is gone? an invisible touchpad?? usbc only??? microsd only???], and every goddamned thing comes with built in AI bullshit.
