°× The problem was the people. Since you were a famous idol you have got a lot of attention.

°× If people would found out about the Famous Green Ninja and the Famous Idol of the Ninjago City might get both of you trouble.

°× Of course, you didnd't kept the secret away from the ninjas. They were teasing Lloyd how he had heart shaped eyes when you walked in the room.

°× A few months of dating you have beaten your incerusities and anxiety and and brought him with you to a party (im not really specific about it xd).

°× First Lloyd was unsure about it. He didn't really liked to be in the middle of attention. But later he and you found out people didn't make such a big deal about it than you thought.

°× + You praised him a lot in front of other idols what got him flustered few times.

°× There were days when both of got insecurties about dating with each other. You know that type of "Is he dating with me because of I'm famous?" insecurity.

°× In those days you ressaure him, cuddle him up and pemper his face with kisses. And he does the same with you.

°× Sometime later Lloyd started to show up (when he got time beside missions and ninja duties) as your bodyguard.

°× It's because he doesn't want you to get attacked or kidnapped by his enemies just because he got close to you. (That was his main reason from him why you should keep your relationship as a secret).

°× Since both of you are famous you get paparazzi and fans following both of you around the dates became kinda difficult.

°× But both of y'all could look for date ideas where you can be in peace, together. Such as movie nights, camping or stargazing.

°× Sometimes both of you just lay in bed and laugh on people on social media who are bragging about you.

"Are you absolutely sure it's on?"

It was a sunny Sunday, and thankfully the theives in Ninjago City seem to be non-existent, giving the Ninja a day to finally kick back and relax with their loved ones.

A few moments ago, you had your little girl in your arms, swaying her side to side as you tickled her stomach. As her laughter slowed down, she started to gurgle and you were shocked at the fact that she was trying to speak.

Recently she had turned the age of two, which excited both her parents. Soon, she would be saying her first words, which she was close to.

You had the magnificent idea of making your daughters first words her favourite animal, frog. Wanting that moment to be special and remembered, you got your husband, Kai to film the event.

"Yes, (Y/n)! It's rolling! See! The red light is on!" Kai leans away from the camera slightly to point at the glowing red light.

"Okay, good. We don't want to miss a single detail." Biting your lip in excitement, you motioned to the lounge area. "She's playing right now, come on."

As you lead Kai to the lounge, you could finally see your daughter on camera. In one hand was a pink tea cup and in the other was a Kermit toy.

"Amaya, darling." You coo and kneel down in front of the young girl. Amaya glances up from her tea party, her eyes widening now that you were here in front of her.

Amaya was a gorgous girl and Kai always said that she was going to break every guys heart when she grows up. While that was his opinion, he was most likely right, if she was anything like her father. She had her fathers hair, attitude and his freckles from when he was a child. You hoped that the freckles would be permanent, unlike how Kai only had his as a kid.

She also had your eyes, nose and curiosity. She was almost always up to mischief, which sometimes gave you and Kai heart attacks.

"Sweetheart," You start and grab her chubby hands as she reaches out for you, "Mama heard that you could almost talk!"

Amaya lets out a giggle and nods her head, most likely not even knowing exactly what you said.

"Can you try again? How about you try saying 'frog'. Can you say that?" You made sure to say each word slowly, wanting Amaya to understand what you needed her to say.

"F-F..." The small girls fumbles with the first letter, her eyes downcast as she concentrates.

While you stared at your girl in adoration, Kai made sure to zoom in to your loving gaze then over to Amaya, watching as she touched her own lips. He had to choke down a chuckle.

"That's it! F-r-o-g." You tried to help her by saying each letter slowly and a bit slurred. Amaya stared at you for a moment, her eyes trained on your lips as you say each letter.

You watch as she gasps, almost like she had had the greatest idea in the entire world. She bounced on her feet a little, her eyes wide as she opened her mouth, "F-fuck!"

"Maya!" You shriek as a hand comes up to clasp your agape mouth, your face having shock and horror all over it.

While you stared mortified at your daughter, Kai was laughing himself dead on the other side of the camera, a free hand on his stomach as he laughs.

"W-Who taught you that!?" You look down to your daughter who was laughing as well at her father.

While little giggles leave her lips, she points a finger to her father. "Fuck!" She laughs out and ends up falling down on her rear end.

With wide eyes and a scowl, your head turns slowly towards your husband, "Kai Smith! Look at what you did to our daughter! Her first words! This is-"

"Hilarious!" Kai snorts out and with shaky hands, he zooms the camera in to capture the look of horror and pure rage on your face.

"You're so dead!" You yell out before standing up from your crouching posistion and sprinting at the laughing man.

Kai immediately halts his laughing, "Oh crap." He curses before sprinting off and away from the hands of his blood thirsty wife, the camera recording every bit of the situation.

While the two lovebirds fought in the kitchen, Amaya went back to playing with her frog. She picked him up and hugged him close to her chest, "Kermy." She mumbles with a giggle.

In plain sight

Jay had been sitting there for an hour. hands folded with his hair covering his eyes like he was some scary villain thinking of his evil villain plans.

It would have been concerning if it was anyone else. But when it comes to Jay, it wasn't the weirdest thing that he had done. So when Zane had passed by the grab himself some breakfast, he had just spoken with a quick "Good morning, Jay." and continued without paying Jay any mind, and instead sitting across from the blue ninja as he started reading today's news paper.

Lloyd, as the responsible and mature green ninja, had of course woken up first and had eaten a long time ago. That seemed to be the case for Cole and (y/n) as well.

However when Kai (who went to sleep late, but woke up at a pretty average 8 o'clock) arrived for the same purpose as Zane, he couldn't just ignore Jay. After grabbing a bowl and filling it with cereal and milk, he sat next to Jay. He ate a spoonful while staring at the blue ninja. He hadn't moved an inch.

"Jay? You okay buddy?" Jay gave him no answer. Kai blinked, and continued eating. But when he was done, he tried again.

"Is anybody home? Hello!? Jay!?" Kai waved a hand in front of Jay's face, but got no reaction. In the end, the red ninja shrugged, took his now empty bowl and spoon and placed them in the sink before sitting back down next to Jay.

He wasn't really busy, so instead he copied Jay's pose, and just sat quietly. Zane ignored them both.

It wasn't until much later, that Nya woke up. She was the opposite of an early bird. Even if she went to sleep early, she could not wake up early on the weekend.

"...Morning, guys." She said as she walked into the kitchen. Zane returned the greeting, while Kai gave her a silent nod. Jay of course was still silent.

Nya was too tired to even notice, and only gave Jay a good morning kiss, but not getting one in return, did she finally realize something was wrong.

"Kai, what are you two doing?" Nya questioned, snapping to get Jay's attention, but that sadly didn't work.

"No idea. I found him here like this." Kai said, Not moving from the pose he had adopted from the blue ninja.

"That is the case for me as well." Zane answered, placing the news paper neatly down on the table.

"Just splash him with water." A sudden voice spoke up from the doorway. Lloyd, who was passing by the kitchen, had noticed the situation and had stopped to listen in as well.

"Did you say something to him?" Nya asked, one eye brow raised in suspicion. Lloyd only shook his head.

"Heck, no. I haven't spoken to him at all today."

"Then what's wrong with him?!" Kai suddenly broke the pose as he jumped up, pointing at Jay as Lloyd shrugged. In the end, no one got a better idea, and Nya formed a bubble of water on top of Jay's head. And without warning, she dropped it.

Jay jumped up, letting out a shrill scream as he did. He quickly shook his arms and legs violently, trying to get rid of as much water as possible. Kai let out a laugh as Lloyd walked in and took a seat next to the red ninja. Meanwhile Nya sat next to Zane.

"Why would you do that?!" Jay let out a high pitched shout as Nya gave Jay a deadpan expression.

"Jay, you were being all moody just sitting there, nothing else could get your attention."

"Oh, right." Jay let out in 'realization', as he sat back down, even if he was totally drenched.

"Why were you acting like in the first place? Did the Star Farer comics get cancelled or something?" Kai finally asked as silence fell.

Jay didn't say anything, seeming to be deep in though, before the reason hit him like lightning again.

"...You guys will not believe me."

"Did they actually cancel Star Farer or something?!" Lloyd let out in horror as Jay let out a scoff.

"Of course not! It was Cole and (y/n)!" Jay shouted as the others all looked at him with questioning looks.

"Cole and (y/n) what? Did they try to cancel Star Farer-?" The second question was barely out of Kai's mouth before Jay smacked him in to back of his head.

"Star Farer isn't getting cancelled! I saw Cole and (y/n) here this morning. They were kissing."

"What about it? I kiss my mom good morning sometimes-" Lloyd was cut off as Jay slammed his palm on the table.

"No! They were right there, kissing, on the lips, romantically." Now the others were completely silent.

"...You sure?" Kai asked after a bit. Jay nodded to him vigorously before continuing.

"Yes! This morning, right when I was about to walk in, I saw them kissing right there!" Right there presumably being the place Jay was pointing to, which was in front of the kitchen counter.

"...You really sure?" Kai questioned one more time as Jay let out a frustrated yell.

"YES!"

"Wanna bet on it?" Kai cockily added, a smirk playing on his lips.

"Sure! I put today's lunch on the line!" Jay came back at him with a scowl and an annoyed tone.

"Deal! Whoever loses buys everyone lunch!" As Kai agreed to Jay's terms, Jay jumped up from his seat.

"I'll prove it to you all right now! Let's go!" Jay ran out of the kitchen, leaving the others to look between each other in confusion, before abandoning their breakfasts and running after the blue ninja.

"Look, look!" Jay whispered out as he arrived in the monastery yard. (y/n) and Cole were putting up laundry together, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Still the team kept their eyes sharp as they observed. It was too bad they couldn't hear their conversation.

But nothing seemed to be happening at all anyway.

"You owe us one lunch, mate." Kai deadpanned as Jay whipped his head at him.

"Don't call me 'mate', Kai!" Jay whispered with a tone of annoyance, when Zane suddenly tapped on Jay's shoulder.

"Is that what you were talking about?" The white ninja spoke, turning his hand towards (y/n) and Cole.

The rest of the team all turned back towards the scene when their jaws dropped. Cole and (y/n) were basically glued together, grinning and laughing about something while holding onto each other lovingly, even sharing a short kiss. But before the team could observe the sight any better, Jay let out a shout.

"THAT'S IT!!!" The sudden shout alerted the two ninja, and in no more than a second, had (y/n) already pushed Cole away.

The (f/c) ninja grabbed a laundry basket from the ground, shoved it in Cole's hands, and rushed away without saying anything.

Cole was left standing by the laundry line, dumbfounded until he spotted Jay and the others from the corner of his eye.

The black ninja looked annoyed, but he masked it with a greeting and a smile.

"Kai..." Nya started in a whisper, as Kai let out a long sigh before speaking up again:

"I know, I know... I owe you guys lunch."

You're sitting on the couch, gently cradling a tiny kitten that somehow crawled its way into your arms. The kitten is purring, blissfully curled up against you, and you're utterly charmed by the little fluffball. You’re so wrapped up in its warm, tiny body and soft meows that you hardly notice Acronix sitting beside you. But he’s watching—closely.

At first, he simply crosses his arms, leaning back and pretending not to care. He raises an eyebrow, tapping his fingers against his arm, watching as you whisper to the kitten, stroking its soft fur with all the gentleness he’s used to seeing from you — the kind he’d like to think is reserved just for him. But today? No, today it's directed at some random kitten who wandered into your life and nestled itself all too comfortably in what he has silently claimed as his spot.

He tries to keep his jealousy in check. After all, it’s just a kitten, right? But as the minutes pass, the little fuzzball only seems to be making itself more at home in your arms. Acronix clears his throat, hoping to catch your attention. But instead, you just coo at the kitten, rubbing your cheek against its tiny head, oblivious to Acronix's presence.

Finally, he decides to say something. "So... that’s a cute kitten," he says with feigned casualness, though his eyes are laser-focused on the little fur thief in your lap. "Pretty sure I heard you say I was your favorite, though." He shoots you a playful but pointed look, half-expecting you to laugh and put the kitten aside. But you just glance up with a teasing smile, nodding as you return your attention to the kitten, murmuring something sweet to it in a voice that Acronix realizes with a pang is usually reserved for him.

The kitten purrs louder, sinking deeper into your arms. He frowns. "Are you seriously ignoring me for… this little ball of fluff?" His voice is half-amused, half-annoyed, trying to mask the jealousy he knows is radiating from him. You glance at him, the amusement twinkling in your eyes, but you’re not letting go of the kitten just yet.

"Acronix, it's just a kitten," you say with a small chuckle, clearly entertained by his reaction.

But Acronix is determined. He moves closer, practically leaning against you as he makes it his mission to reclaim his spot. He throws an arm over your shoulders and rests his head on your shoulder, sighing dramatically. "I mean, I get it. The kitten's cute," he says, his tone almost mocking as he inches closer. "But, I mean, I’m here too, you know." He gives you a little nudge, his eyes locked on the kitten, hoping it’ll take the hint and scoot over. It does not.

Instead, the kitten purrs louder, curling up even tighter in your lap and stretching out one little paw possessively, as if to say, This human is mine. It knows what he's feeling right now, yet it decided to stay.

Acronix rolls his eyes, muttering something about “clingy cats” under his breath, but he’s visibly growing more impatient. He reaches over and gently pokes the kitten, testing if it might move on its own. But the kitten just squeaks—a shrill, startled sound that makes you laugh, and makes Acronix even more annoyed.

"Really?" he huffs, looking at the kitten like it’s his mortal enemy. "This little thing has you wrapped around its paw?"

You smile at him and try to gently put the kitten down, giving it a little nudge to encourage it to move. But the moment you try to lift it, the kitten lets out a loud (scream) meow, clinging to your arm and wriggling stubbornly to stay in place.

'This cat..—' Acronix thought in annoyance.

It’s as if the kitten knows exactly what it’s doing — making a bold claim on you that leaves Acronix rolling his eyes in irritation, muttering under his breath about dramatic cats.

Finally (but reluctantly), you manage to carefully set the kitten down on the floor, and it settles with an annoyed little meow of its own. But Acronix doesn’t waste a second. The moment you’re free, he took the opportunity and swoops in, wrapping his arms around you possessively and pulling you close to his chest, almost as if he’s trying to erase the kitten’s scent from your skin. He leans in, his face inches from yours, a smirk playing on his lips.

"There. Now that that distraction is out of the way," he says, his voice a low murmur as he nuzzles into your hair, "I can finally have you back where you belong." He holds you a little tighter, burying his face in your shoulder, breathing in the comforting scent of your warmth.

You laugh, wrapping your arms around him, finally giving him the attention he’s been vying for all this time. He lets out a deep, satisfied sigh, holding you close, his fingers tracing gentle patterns along your back as if he’s making sure you don’t slip away again.

After a few quiet moments, he glances down, shooting the kitten a smug look. "See, furball? This spot? Mine."

panic attack

Lloyd had come to terms with how he dealt with his past trauma. shoving it in, fighting, and disappearing for a bit were realistic choices that he had taken a few more times than normal. but that was ok with him. until you came into the picture. he liked you so much that he couldn’t bear to leave you alone worrying about him. but at the same time, he didn’t trust himself enough by telling you about how his life played out. how destiny had it out for him. and that hurt him a little more, digging a deeper hole for himself.

after a big fight the ninja had, you were there to tend to his wounds and listen to him rant. you could listen to him talk for hours and that still wouldn’t be enough. and yet, when he finished talking, you could still see the know of frustration between his eyes. and that made you worry.

“hey” you said gently moving his face towards yours

“what ya’ thinking of?”

“nothing” he said with heavy eyes

you hummed faking consideration and replied “liar”

he chuckled and stood up, taking you in for a hug

you hugged him back but your worry was still there

“stop trying to distract me golden boy, I need to know if you’re okay.”

his burrowed his head in your neck and said “I’m fine, just overthinking a few things.

“what things?”

pulling out of the hug and with what felt a reluctant sigh Lloyd said “I can’t”

“why?”

“I just can’t talk about it”

“you can’t or you won’t” you said and immediately regretted it by the face that he made and how the atmosphere suddenly dropped.

“Lloyd..”

“I can’t tell you y/n. you need to understand that. there are some things in my life that I just can’t talk about.

“I’m sorry. it’s just that everyone seems to know about these things and I’m the one being left out.” you extended you hand to touch his face “I’m not doing this to hurt you, I’m just trying to help-“

“I don’t need your help!”

you pulled your hand back in shock. Lloyd had never yelled at you like that, much less with such pain in his eyes. as if you hurt him.

Lloyd stayed silent, not knowing what to say or how to fix it. he felt like an idiot. your relationship was still pretty new, but that was no excuse to yell at you like that, even more when you did nothing wrong.

you both stayed like that for what felt like a really long time, staring at each other without knowing what to say. at last, all you heard was an “I’m sorry” and Lloyd was gone from your sight.

°× When you got out of the hospital Lloyd insisted you to move in to the Monastry just til you get better.

°× He told you It's for just to make sure your injuries will be treated right, but the reason was something else.

°× He didn't wanted to let you go even if you ressaure him that you're fine, but you didn't insist. You knew the reason why he want you so near.

°× He missed you so much and can't leave your side in fear that you will get taken away from him again:(

°× During these days he helped you clean yourself and helping you with regular things. He was by your side a lot making sure you're not in pain.

°× He even helped you with single things like eating, getting dressed. It didn't matter what you said he just ignored it.

°× It was kinda like this is how he tries to make it up to you for that you got captured. You had to comfort him a few times that it was not his fault and he did the right thing.

°× After a few days he eased up and let you do your things (but still helping with your injuries or when your traumas gets triggered).

°× It seemed like everything is fine, which is a half true because at nights you had wild dreams.

°× Lloyd had strict rules for sleeping. You had to be in bed by 8:00pm. It was for you to get as much rest as you can so your injures will heal faster.

°× Every night he cleaned you up, put on PJs, brushed your teeth and then getting in bed, Lloyd wrapped you in his arms tightly, cuddling you.

°× The nightmares are became usual. In your dreams the experimentations continue, hundreds of injection needle in you.

°× Lloyd woke up multiply times to you're kicking, crying, screaming while you're asleep.

°× The first days he didn't know what to do when you had those nightmares. Later he found out that you calm down and sleep much peacfuly when there's white noise in the background. (I can tell it works).

°× And after weeks you had much less nightmares and much less intense.

°× Lloyd also help you when you had to go take blood tests. Since you got injected with a lot of toxic liquid.

°× He held your hand the whole time soothing you that everything's alright and no one is trying to hurt you.

°× When you got better and you could deal with your issues alone too, you got him a gift as a way to thank him for taking care of you.

°× He teared up a bit when you surprised him with it.

The gentle rocking of The Bounty roused you awake, much as it had soothed you to sleep the night before. Sunlight streamed in from the open window, silk curtains swaying gently in the breeze. It was nice, serene, calm.  There weren't many mornings where you were able to wake up like this, being a part of the ninja team required sacrifices; like the sacrifice of a quiet morning.

You shifted under the covers, reaching a hand up to rub the sleep out our eyes. You pulled your other hand out from under the pillow, shaking the pins and needles away as you reached down to the covers; they had been pushed down around your waist during your sleep. Warmth enveloped you once again.

A yawn forced its way from your throat as you flipped over to face the man next to you. Lloyd looked beautiful in the morning light; you were glad he had time to relax like this, even if the opportunities were sparse. He was laying on his side and you took that as a silent invitation. You scooted closer, snuggling into his chest, hoping for just a few more minutes before you had to get up and start your, no doubt, exhausting day to come.

Lloyd groaned when you wrapped your arms around his slim waist, burying your face into the crook of his neck. You imagined his lashes fluttering as his eyes opened, adjusting to the gentle light, licking his dry lips, and ruffling his bed head with steady hands.

You felt his breathing change, slightly faster and more aware. His arms circled your pajama clad body, one hand settling on your hip, the other trailing upwards to trace shapes into your exposed shoulder. 

“G’morning, sweets….” He mumbled into your hair. You smiled into his neck and tightened the hug briefly as your own greeting. “How long have you,” he paused to yawn, “been up?”

“Not long.”

“Hm,” Lloyd brought a hand up to your face, cupping your cheek and tilting it to face him. Your neck craned painfully, but you didn't complain when he pressed his lips to yours; you could feel him smile into the kiss. It only lasted a few moments, but that didn't make it any less wonderful. He pulled away, hand still resting against your cheek, thumb rubbing underneath your eye. “You look really pretty right now.” He kissed your forehead before you both laid back down into your previous positions.

“Can we stay like this for a little longer?” you asked, playing with the ends of his hair between your fingers. You felt a laugh rumble deep within his chest.

“You read my mind.” You smiled softly, and pressed your ear to his chest. His heart beat thrummed loudly, steady, there. You loved your day to day, you were so proud of Lloyd and all he’s accomplished, and you wouldn't have anything any other way. But, you couldn't help but wish for more moments like this as you began to slip into sleep once again.

hello!! this post is saying im not dead, just reeeeaallly tired and want a break heheheheee. sry if you wanted nya, i just needed post something so yall know i'm alive :(

KAI ★

you normally run up to him like that when a mission was claimed successful. other times you do it just to see his reaction, and it always makes you laugh. sometimes you just hug him, but other times you just start spinning. although he's a ninja and has trained to be imune to sneak attacks, you always make him scream when you randomly jump at him and spin him around.

your a giggling mess when he spins faster, but not fast enough to do spinjitzu.

he's noticed you do this whenever your really happy, so he knows when your unhappy because you won't hug him and spin him around like your always did.

"is that really as fast as you can go?" kai grinned as you spun both of you around. that statement ended with you both falling on the ground after 50x spins in a row.

JAY ★

loves it when you hug him and spin him around. it's got him smiling ear to ear and giggling left and right. your arms are normally wrapped around his neck whiles his are wrapped around your waist as you both spin. sometimes your legs are wrapped around his torso, but thats only when you know jay will just randomly let go of you for fun..one time leading you tumbling to the floor and banged your head on the table. big trust issues were lost that day.

"want to go faster?" jay grinned as he locked eyes with you. a wicked smiled formed on your face as jay spun, a blue tornado surrounded your vision. yours and his laugher were heard from the tornado as nya and cole walked by.

this is a normal thing you both do now.

COLE ★

when you first did this, cole was scared. he didn't know you were going to randomly start spinning and accdiently did spinjitzu. you cried his name out as you held onto him for dear life. he noticed you started doing this more when you were happy or a mission was successful.

all he's nervous about is that your going to be to extreme and cause you both to fall over, him landing ontopnof you because your the one spinning him.

other then that he's all for this now. he'll even join in one the spinning whne he's in the mood and lift you into the air.

ZANE ★

he just lets you spin him around. assuming your running at him for a hug, he opens his arms with a smile, but he's caught off guard when you jump at him and spin on your heels.

he yelps as he grabs onto you as you both spin full cricle multiple times. your laughter fills the room, zane's following soon after.

he questions you about your sudden out burst, and you reply with your tounge poking out.

he finds this cute and nevr gets upset when you randomly do it now and again.

LLOYD ★

he thought this would be a normal hug. so when you suddenly lift him off the ground and start spinning he let out a scream while gripping your shoulders for support.

he laughs out your name as you continue to spin. once you placed him down you give a playful kiss on the lips and waved him off.

he was left in a dizzy, goofy smile mess.

he tried to do the same thing to you to get you dizzy, have a taste of your own medicene. however, to his surprise you laughed and allowed himto keep spinning you.

The reader looks incredibly intimidating but when the reader gets talked to it just turns out he's shy , has a soft voice, and is just overall kind hearted? (reader basically just puts up an intimidating look with a straight face to avoid conversations)

Of courseeeeee! Hmmm, If you say any character, I'm not sure if you prefer a female character or a male character, so... I'mma just pick Jay cause he's cool.

I rarely refer to the reader as 'you', I often use (y/n) to get a more storybook like feel to my stories, to but one was in desperate need of the change.

Your biggest Fan

(y/n) (l/n), the tallest, scariest Elemental Master by far. Even the tough Karlof or the intimidating Shade avoided even stepping close to him.

And (y/n) (l/n), is in fact, you.

You liked your solitude, so it was fine for now. The ferry was packed, and the pressures of a large crowd, when the only way to escape was to jump in the ocean, sounded less than pleasant.

You kept taking glances around though, you had seen the ninja on the docks before everyone had gotten on the boat. But after accidentally locking eyes with the blue ninja of all people, you decided to instead keep your distance. He was probably intimidated by you anyway.

Most people took one good look at you and though: Nope! nope, nope, nope and nope! Sometimes a short glance was enough to have the same results.

That's exactly why you never made any friends. You didn't know exactly why you seemed so scary to the others. Alone your expression wasn't intimidating enough to scare anyone. Maybe it was the combination of the expression, the way you stayed quiet to avoid stuttering, and maybe something else.

But for some reason, he wasn't scared.

"I'm Jay, the Master of Lightning. I don't wanna be rude or anything, but... are you a bad guy? Like a villain?" You were way too scared to answer him. You barely even turned your head towards him, and gave him a glance.

Though you couldn't see it, this was the exact intimidating expression that kept you away from other people.

"That's it! That look! You're planning something. Something evil. Epic, but evil!"

You tried to keep your face neutral, though inside, your heart was pounding. Not because Jay’s weird accusations made you uncomfortable. Well, they were weird, but you were fine with it.

The actually reason was that Jay is, and had always been your favorite ninja. The way his energy just wouldn't die down, and how he could make even the darkest situations seem a little brighter. He was the exact opposite of you, and maybe that’s what made him so magnetic to you.

"I'm not… planning anything," you muttered, barely even hearing your own voice from under the sea breeze.

Jay blinked, before giving you an awkward smile. "Sorry, didn't quite catch that."

You cleared your throat, feeling the heat rise to your cheeks. "I'm not planning anything," you repeated, slightly louder before you went right back to muttering "I just… don't talk much."

"So... you're just shy?" (y/n) thought about it, before giving Jay a nod, hoping he'd drop the topic.

But of course, Jay being Jay, didn't let it go. Instead he grinned like a child.

"That's adorable!" Jay chuckled, leaning against the ferry railing.

Your heart skipped a beat, and you nearly choked on your own breath. Adorable? Jay thought you were adorable? You were supposed to be the tough, quiet one, definitely not adorable. But strangely, it made you happy.

"W-What?" You stammered, eyes wide.

Jay laughed, clearly enjoying your reaction. "You’ve got this whole 'I'm tough, don't talk to me' face on, you even glared at me back at the dock! But you're actually just a shy guy. I mean, how can anyone not think that's adorable?"

You could feel your face getting hotter by the second, and for a moment, you felt like hiding everything. Your face, your voice, the way you couldn't just be normal around him. But then, Jay's laughter softened, and when you dared to look up at him, his grin was still there, but there was a warmth in his eyes too, something that made your stomach do a little flip.

"Hey, don’t worry," Jay said, leaning against the railing again, "It's al-" Unfortunately, Jay was cut off by another ninja calling over to you and him.

"Jay! What are you doing, you can't just wander off like that." Kai, the one who had called over to you, jogged over, his tone half-scolding, half-exasperated. Behind him were Cole, Lloyd, and Sensei Garmadon. None of them seemed even half as annoyed as Kai did, just confused.

Meanwhile you felt angry. So angry that you, on purpose for once, gave Kai a glare.

Immediately Kai froze, though he didn't seem scared, just taken back.

"Jay, who the hell are you hanging around with?" Kai huffed at Jay as his eyes scanned you up and down, not in an insulting way, but as if he was sizing you up.

Jay huffed right back, "Don't be rude! This is..." Then he trailed off, before turning back to you as you wiped the glare off your face faster then lightning.

"What is your name, anyway?"

"...(y/n)," You quietly said, a bit nervous because there were more people around. Jay smiled, before whipping back to face Kai.

"This is (y/n)!" He declared, giving Kai a smile that just screamed 'I'm proud of myself!' It was as if introducing you like you were a gold medal, showing you off in glee.

Kai raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed by Jay's theatrics, though his gaze relaxed a bit. "Okay... and how do you know him?"

Jay opened his mouth to reply but faltered, clearly realizing that he barely knew anything about you beyond the few words exchanged moments ago. He glanced over at you, looking a little sheepish, before giving Kai the same awkward smile he had given you before.

"Uh, well, we actually just met, but-" Jay started, but Kai cut him off with a skeptical look.

"You mean you just started talking to some random guy?" Kai crossed his arms, looking concerned once more.

Lloyd, who had stayed back with Cole, approached you with a polite smile to calm down the situation. "It's nice to meet you, (y/n). Don’t mind Kai, he's just annoyed." He shot Kai a glance before adding with a slight smirk, "Unlike Jay, he hasn't gotten any new friends."

You gave a small nod, still feeling a little out of place with all their attention on you. But Lloyd’s calm demeanor eased some of the tension that had built up.

Cole, who had also been quiet up until now, finally spoke. "I think I saw you by yourself, back on the docks?" His tone was mindful and careful, he didn't want to seem rude either.

You nodded again, wishing they would stop looking at you so intently. With Jay you hadn't felt this uncomfortable. Probably 'cause these three were also careful about how they came across, while Jay didn't seem to care about that.

"He’s not some 'random guy,'" Jay jumped back into the conversation, also jumping over and hugging one of your arms tightly.

"I mean, sure, we’ve only talked for a few minutes, but come on, he's adorable! He's super shy, but nice. And I bet he's stronger than he looks." Jay spoke enthusiasticly, as Lloyd looked (y/n) up and down.

"Well he looks strong to begin with-" But he was cut off by Jay turning back to you again. "And you're an Elemental Master, right?"

"Obviously..." Kai muttered, though he was left ignored.

All the ninja were looking at you now, and the pressure of their stares felt heavier than before. Your throat tightened slightly as you debated whether to tell them

You swallowed, then nodded slowly. "Yeah... I am," you said quietly, your voice barely audible. "The Master of (Anything you want!)."

"See! A pretty powerful element, right?" Jay asked the others, who nodded, except for Kai.

Jay noticed how stubborn Kai was being, and turned to whisper into your ear.

"Kai might not like you, but I think you're great!"

Jay hadn't even asked you to be his friend yet, but you knew, no matter what, you couldn't say no to the Master of Lightning.
