im still obsessed eith static btw ive just been quieter about it lately but do not mistake. virgil is still my absolute fucking guy of all time
#every time i see previews that nik draper ivey posts on his twitter or talks abt his inspirations and ideas im like GOD. FUCK. EXCITEMENT#genuinely do not think they could have choses a better guy to do the art like he captures it all so perfectly#but seriously every time i see the art previews he posts i get so fucking hyoed up and happy i have to full body stim#and rereading the orevious issues never gets old ive seriously reread the past 4 issues so many times#i just AAAAAAA I JUST LOVE STATIC#VIRGIL MY BOY MEHOY MEBOY

look man im just saying every time frieda or richie shows up the other is also there im not saying its definitely a metaphor for virgil being bi but-

i wonder if nik Draper ivey had any specific people in mind/used anyone specific for reference for virgil/other characters
#i know he hadspecific people/looks in mind for daisy and richie but i dunno abt the others! im always interested in that stuff#like who pro artists and comic people use as 'face claims' ykno#bc most comic artists DO use references a lot especially if they use a more classic/semi realistic style#cus faces are HARD and u wanna make sure u can stay on model and the best way to do that is to PICK A REAL LIFE MODEL#actors especially work well for that bc u can find them making many expressions due to roles........
