I never really romantically shipped any of the ponies, but I friendshipped Rarity and Fluttershy super hard. After seeing them have their spa day together, I wanted a dozen more episodes of just the two of them hanging out, Rarity being super talkative and Fluttershy being super quiet, then Rarity gently drawing Fluttershy out and getting her to talk and share more, and generally just having a gentle time together ... basically being the sweetest friends of all time. Inject that straight into my veins
But even if I'm not much of a shipper, I absolutely love seeing your stuff, especially your Rarijack! Extremely good stuff imho
(Also: have you read many of the comics? I used to write for them back in the day.)
Oh yeah the chemistry between them is def a little better and higher than the average, theres a fun of a outgoing social beautiful girl that is peppering and complimenting the shy girl, showcasing her as a model, heheh. Fluttershy suddenly near a gorgeous girl and attention is being paid to her, its fun. I'd say that the only downside is that i cant imagine Fluttershy providing that much of a fullfiling romantic relationship to Rarity, a gal with needs, heh I have read most of the comics, yes! there are so many of them, I can't say I've checked them all out, but I have gone down the lists, so to speak, and there have been plenty of iconic things that sadly were never in the show (Looking at you nightmare rarity) There's tons of gold in those comics! Sometimes makes it feel like the show deserved more time and more crazy ideas, heh And I did skip some comics that seemed to be boring or infantile hdfvbbh

Nice Jewish Character Showdown 2023 - Round Two Eliminations
Another round has passed, one I'd liken to a bloodbath, and we're down to 8 competitors in the race for the NJCS 2023 title. Before the quarterfinal votes go live, let's check in with those disqualified contestants and discuss what makes them such Nice Jewish Characters.
Match One Elimination: Cristina Yang, Grey's Anatomy Probably the most well-known Asian Jew in television, Cristina Yang is canonically Jewish, thanks to her step-father who raised her in it (her mother converted). Grey's has a weird relationship with Judaism, like a lot of medical dramas, but it definitely gets points for the rare and definitely appreciated look at how diverse the Jewish population is.
Match Two Elimination: Tevye, Fiddler on the Roof It's the quintessential Jewish musical, it's one of the main reasons we've seen a shtetl-core resurgence, it's Fiddler! It was definitely the match-up of the dads this time around, and as much as I love this man, his success rate in reference to loving and supporting his daughters is, well... not a perfect score. Thank you Sholem Aleichem for the original stories, thank you Chaim Topol for your iconic portrayal in the movie, alongside Zero Mostel, Leonard Nimoy (yes, Nimoy played Tevye for a bit!), Alfred Molina, Harvey Fierstein, Danny Burstein, and many, many more. Nothing truly hits like being a Jew in the diaspora and watching Fiddler. Still bummed I haven't had a chance to see Yiddler, the Yiddish remount. (Oh, and Fiddler tends to be free on Youtube, so if you haven't seen it before -- or want to revisit Anatevka, treat yourself!)
Match Three Elimination: Rebecca Bunch, Crazy Ex Girlfriend *hits top of a car* this baby can fit so many song titles from CEXG in it When looking for representation, it can often feel like no one else is singing your song. Sure, there are the characters whose Judaism is restricted to reminding you that we've suffered, or who become props for some Christmas Special. But then we get a gem in the rough, a girl in love, a Jewish American Princess who moves across the country to follow a former summer camp crush. Crazy Ex Girlfriend was a rarity, and the four season run blessed us with a lot of quality television, and something even rarer -- a multidimensional Jewish lead. If you haven't had a chance to meet Rebecca, the entire show is available to stream on Netflix. And yes, when I realized how much she was losing this round, this song was on loop in my brain. Apologies to Rachel Bloom and the rest of the CEXG team, I seriously thought you'd sweep this thing. What a twisted fate.
Match Four Elimination: Lily Moscovitz, The Princess Diaries Oh, Lily, I think the internet misunderstands you more often than not these days. But to ignore your Jewishness is an absolute faux pas, whether you're looking at the movies or the much more blatantly Jewish representation you get in the books. Seriously though, I can think of at least a handful of Jewish girls I grew up with who remind me of the headstrong public access host. Side note -- to all the girlies who grew up hating their curly hair because of the nightmare of a makeover Mia got, I'm right there with you, and we'll get through this together. Honestly, I think there's something to be said about Jew-coding's relationship with makeover scenes, but we don't have the time for that right now.
Match Five Elimination: Francine Frensky, Arthur I've mentioned before how I grew up on public access television, so is it any surprise when I say that Francine was (probably) the first time I saw myself on television? Even if it didn't come up a lot outside of holiday episodes (at least in the seasons that aired when I watched), Francine's Judaism felt recognizable. Plus, if you told her she was just token representation, she'd probably sock you in the face. Oh, and something I found while researching -- THE GOLEM IS A PLOT POINT IN A HALLOWEEN EPISODE?! Seriously, props to PBS.
Match Six Elimination: Ferris Bueller, Ferris Bueller's Day Off Finding good representation in any 80's movie is going to be an uphill battle, considering well. The 80's-ness of it all. So when looking for a good Jewish character, it's much easier to default back to the transitive property of Jewish media (art made by Jews being Jewish by way of their perspective being translated into the text). Since Matthew Broderick, Ferris himself, is Jewish, who's to say the most beloved delinquent of his era isn't too? Plus, he's a stock standard rebel against restrictive institutions. Listen, I have the original Footloose on my coded Jewish representation Letterboxd list, I have no room to judge. *Points to Ferris* That's a NJB right there.
Match Seven Elimination: Truman Burbank, The Truman Show Speaking of my coded Jewish representation Letterboxd list, this movie SCREAMS Judaism to me. Come on -- it's so critical of Christianity that it almost falls backwards into Judaism. Free will in spite of a higher power? Disagreeing with authority so much that you flee your home, your world, your reality? Helps that his hometown is so heavily designed after post-war 50's suburbia, which has its own relationship with being Jewish. So is Truman Jewish? I think he can be -- watch the movie and make the call for yourself. It's a classic for a reason, and I won't rob you of the experience.
Match Eight Elimination: Wall-E, Wall-E Wall-E, my robot blorbo, the most Guy of any Pixar protagonist -- what makes him Jewish? He loves Barbra Streisand, collects tcotchkes, and is relentlessly working to make the world better, even if he's the only one still doing it (tikkun olam has NEVER seen a cuter mascot).

We're Off to See the Wizard
Hey there, disqualifications. All right, I'm on the final thing in our stack! And we're gonna end the same way we started: with a FiM alt universe fic.
Here's the cover:
Tumblr media
Yeah, remember way back when we did "Little Fillies" #1? And I was wondering if they'd do other Classics Reimagined titles? Well, here's one for you! And at least this time, I'm roughly familiar with The Wizard of Oz. Like, I've never read the original books, but I've at least seen the 1939 film a couple times. I know the basic plot from parody and reference and pop culture. I know enough to know the ruby slippers are movie only, and they were silver in the book! Anyways, a pretty nice cover for this. Same artstyle as the "Little Fillies" story as well. This one might grab a few more eyes, at least~
I think we'll do the same thing I did in the Little Fillies review, where I name the character as the original work, then parenthetically refer to the MLP character playing them. So obviously, our depressed farmgirl is Dorothy Gale (Applejack). She lives with Uncle Henry (Big Macintosh) and Auntie Em (initially Rarity, but when she's way into playing Big Mac's wife, they swap her for Granny Smith. They also change the role from wife to mother). While they're making changes, Dorothy demands to be switched into overalls. So much for the iconic gingham~
So, before long, a tornado comes a-spinnin' into the story. Auntie Em! It's a twister! Starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton! She chases her dog, Toto (Winona), into the bedroom. This keeps her from enterting the storm cellar instead. And she's gonna wish she'd been in there, because the tornado doesn't just destroy the house, it lifts the whole thing spinning and spinning into another dimension! One with brighter colours! The main comic so far has been in muted, sepia-like colours (not outright monochrome), but springs to "full" colour at this point.
When everything's stopped spinning, Dorothy (just assume this is followed by "and Toto" every time, unless I specify) takes a peek out into this wide new world. She's greeted, not by munchkins, but by Breezies, which is one of the only times they've ever appeared in comics. They're super-enthused to meet a new princess, Dorothy having crushed the previous one. Dorothy tells them that both these facts are wrong, only to be swiftly corrected with the shot of Nightmare Moon's legs sticking out from under the house, silver horseshoes in the air.
Who should enter now but the Good Princess of the North (Celestia). Dorothy objects to the lazy find-replace of "witch" for "princess", but Glinda or Celestia or whoever plows on ahead anyway. She introduces the concepts of one princess per cardinal direction, two good and two wicked, and the Unicorn of Odd (title drop!) who might be even more powerful. Dorothy is about to make a feminist comment, but is interrupted by Nightmare Moon's dissolving. The silver horseshoes are now relinquished, and Celestia forces them on Dorothy to keep the plot moving.
This version does mention the Deadly Desert surrounding the Land of Odd on all sides, which is why she can't immediately go home to Kansas. It's a bit distressing, but Celestia suggests heading east to the Emerald City where the Unicorn lives. And of course, the easiest way to get there? Follow the yellow brick road, of course. The Breezies agree to accompany her to the edge of their territory, and to Dorothy's relief, only the book is in the public domain. Thus, they don't have the rights to use any of the songs~
Finally, just as Dorothy is beginning to tire of the fawning reverence of the Breezies, they reach the end of their lands and part ways. They soon come all up ons a cornfield, and Toto begins to bark. Dorothy's worried for a minute, but it turns out to be just a scarecrow. To her shock, though, the Scarecrow (Pinkie Pie) begins to talk. She's very glad to have somepony new to talk to, since it's all been birds before now. She's just terrible at scaring the crows, to her utter shame. She's just too good at making friends! See how she's made a new one just today~!
Dorothy uses her farm-found applebucking skills to knock the Scarecrow off her perch, freeing the straw-stuffed mare to move around and travel. And travel she does! She decides to accompany Dorothy on her journey, in the hopes of getting a brain from the Unicorn. She's happy enough with a head stuffed with straw, but what she really wants is to plan parties. Can't do that without a brain! And the comic ends as the pair set off, with Scarecrow also needing to be reminded they don't have the rights to the songs. But it's a comic book, so they won't be able to tell if she hums it instead~
Well, this seems like a lot of fun so far. Let's be honest, The Wizard of Oz is a lot more of an exciting and interesting story than Little Women. I'm sorry, but it's true. It'll appeal to your demographic a lot more, too. The roles seem pretty tailor-made for this, and Applejack is a natural snarker. So the asides and fourth wall breaks (there's a whole page of Celestia and Luna I left out to keep up the flow and to allow you to find the jokes on your own as you read) fit more naturally here. They got better at it here, with "Little Fillies" being their testing ground. I look forward to more of this, but alas, this is the only issue I have so far! Just like last time, we'll have to wait until I get a new shipment to finish the series~
Next week, though... Well, I have a few ideas I wanna explore. They'll tide us over in the meantime~

well, now that my mlp question has been answered, what was the episode of mlpfim that stuck with you the most? for me it was most of the season openings/finales and then the want it need it have to have it episode or whatever that one was
bestie you know it's definitely not just one. i get why those stuck with you though! those were definitely bonkers episodes
Obviously, the first two episodes. they're the pilot!
look before you sleep, because for some reason i hyperfixated on the sleep song they made for rarity. it was hilarious and i think about it every time i rewatch the episode
sonic rainboom. i think about the guitar riff when rainbow was close to performing the boom quite a lot. i'll rewatch the episode just to hear it again! it's so awesome and good
season 2 openings, because discord is fun. why didn't he just forcefully discord them all. forever. silly discord
luna eclipsed. i wish we saw more of the bat ponies! also luna's redesign was pretty cool, no matter how much i loved the beta design. just assuming that luna's return left her completely powerless, hence the non-flowy hair and small stature. also holiday interpretations are fun!
sweet and elite, just for the iconic rarity song
hurricane fluttershy, because shes relatable! i was always a little self conscious about my own physical abilities but this episode (and joking around about it) made me feel a lot better
canterlot wedding. cadence my beloved. changelings are so very interesting. i also remember waking up on the couch in my mom's office since they put it on the tv, and my mom joked about mlp being the thing that got me to wake up
crystal empire kinda came out of nowhere but i LOOOOVE the magic implications. i wish they did more with sombra because he seems so interesting as a villain. also i remember being very proud of remembering that the square root of 546 is 23.36664289109
too many pinkie pies; i remember watching this episode the day it aired (it was a reupload on youtube) and my sister and i watched it on our old dinosaur computer, loaded up with good ol' windows 7 and internet explorer
magical mystery cure. i also remember watching this one specifically, sitting in my old bunk bed watching it on my pink disney princess tiara tv and crying at twilight becoming an alicorn because i was so very proud of her (and thought the show was ending)
the season 4 opening, very obviously a huge upgrade in animation. i remember watching leaks of luna's transformation into nightmare moon from a convention and being so excited to see it! im just a big fan of history in shows like this. it gives the world such depth
bats. bats. bats. freaked me the heck out
pinkie's pride because i knew weird al before he showed up on mlp (and always flexed it to my friends in elementary school lol) ALSO i really liked pinkie's lament in it
from whom the sweetie belle toils. ah, siblings. my sister and i never had THESE kinds of issues but i always relate to their sisterly dynamic the most
testing testing 123. probably one of my favorite episodes to rewatch. dash is just neurodivergent!!! it also helped me when i was transitioning from elementary school to junior high (i went to that 6 year college prep school) and the learning curve of "not being as gifted anymore." i still struggle with studying and have not found any great learning methods! well, aside from pretending to be interested, for some reason.
twilight's kingdom. first luna song, AND a laser battle, AND super powerful twilight??? it was pretty awesome. i still want the library back tho pl0x thanks
the cutie map. communism, ok thx byeee. also one of the first villains to be a where's waldo! its fun to look back and spot her and know it WASNT a lazy animators choice
do princesses dream of magic sheep becaues it discusses self harm???? to a target audience of young girls entering a period in their lives where self harm is pretty prominent? man.
rarity investigate is a very fun episode. man i like rarity a lot
scare master validating my fears and acknowledging fluttershy's anxiety around the holiday!! it did a decent job at communicating that what may seem trivial to some is a very real issue for others. i love love love how fluttershy is treated in this episode; her boundaries are validated and accommodated for. (i dont like that sometimes they portrayed her as a party pooper. however! this is a very real feeling some people have! and i think it would be worse not to include a little bit of tension surrounding it)
a hearth's warming tale stuck with me well and good since im a huge christmas buff. also, more luna songs. luna songs were always huge in the fandom
all bottled up! starlight glimmer, my beloved. bottling up feelings is a pretty real thing for me, and instead of disregarding my emotions, it taught me that its healthy to vent in a consensual environment and tell people they're bugging you if they are.
parental glideance. actually, any episode introducing parents. omg, theyre (mostly) not orphans!
a royal problem. daybreaker is cool and awesome, and the lroe behind what she COULDVE been is amazing, but i miss the days of nightmare star
THE PERFECT PEAR. WAHHHHHH
once upon a zepplin was so real for me. confounded people pleasing leading to you having an awful time and missing out on everything.
sounds of silence, because kirins are so cool and they were a very cool thought but i would like to see them speak more than in one episode please thanks
the beginning of the end p2 with twilight's super awesome speech while fighting sombra. man shes so cool. the hair flip animation was cool. twilight is so cool.
she talks to angel, because ive always very badly wanted to know what the heck is going on in that little bunny's mind. and it was hilarious
AND NOW, A LOVELY COMPILATION OF EVERY EPISODE THAT HAS MADE ME CRY AT LEAST ONCE (the anecdotes of a massive crybaby) ~

So i usually dont really make posts, but im doing a supernatural rewatch and ive decided to at least try to chronicle this here.
I've finished the first season (I made an attempt a couple months earlier but got stuck at like ep 16 (when plot started happening)). This time i powered through and before i started season 2 i wanted to finish this post. These are my main take-aways from season 1:
(Warning rambling ahead)
The first couple episodes are actually really good and fun they set the tone of the show so well and introduce us both to the characters as well as the lore. What i also realized is that many of the iconic fanvid moments are from the first season (but also especially those first couple eps).
Also because they have to have their characters talk about their kit in a "natural" way, its Sam being like Dean i KNOW a shotgun doesnt work against ghosts why are you giving me this / Well because Sammy this one is filled with rocksalt (like this is not a thing before). Which knowing the later seasons makes them seem like such amateur hunters honestly. They dont know about rocksalt bullets, they dont know about devil traps, they dont know an excersism by heart (Bobby does say demon possession used to be a rarity and are on the uptick, but STILL) also in episode 4 Dean complains about having to wear suits for their disguise because they never needed to do that before, another later season staple they claim to have been doing for the first time.
I also forgot how early the psychic Sam story line began, its like set up from the beginning and truely gets going ep 5, and it does such good and interesting things with the Sam and Dean dynamic. They also introduce Meg and ol' yellow-eyes (as well as his son, Meg's brother who dies?? I don't remember him coming back? does he???)
Sam and Dean's dynamic is honestly my main reason for rewatching their so stupidly codependent while also being stubborn as fuck and then when you throw John in the mix it becomes even more interesting
also John is a piece of shit father, like yea he loves his sons but not enough to actually spend time with them in a fatherlike role i guess (also also when you tell your 18 y/o son to never return when he runs away from home and then say your both at fault for not reconcilling thats on you pall, youre the adult (or are at least supposed to be)) In ep 14 Nightmare Sam and Dean acknowledge that if their dad hadn't completely thrown himself into hunting (thus also physically removing his presence from the boys) he had a big chance of ending up like Max' (super fucking abusive and drunk) dad, which is its own entiere can of worms.
We also later learn that the hunter community is a diverse and supportive place, which makes it extra - lets say interesting - that John purposefully never interacted with them (cept like a couple of white old guys with guns) it tells us so much about his character.
The ending of season 1 was surprisingly well wrapped up tbh. Like i forget there was actually coherent storytelling in the first 5 seasons. They keep building up to Sam wanting revenge, very much mirroring their Dad, while Dean is on the other side, putting his family's lifes above his need for revenge then in the end Sam has to choose, do this Dad's way, truely commit to revenge above everything, in doing so murdering his own family member or chosing family, chosing Dean. And he DOES, and its very cathartic and then the truck hits 10/10 finale
What I haven't really missed from these earlier seasons is the casual misogyny (and homophobia). There are actually quite a few interesting female characters that are introduced, but the only way they are spoken about is how hot they are/how they would like to sleep with them (Dean is especially guilty of this because of his "womanizing" ways, whereas Sam is supposed to be the loyal grieving bf) but it just really dishearting that even when Sam is just talking to a woman of roughly the same age range the writers make Dean say a comment implying the only reason Sam would want to interact with a woman is because he is interested in her romantically/sexually (which he then does his best to refute, again grieving bf, but it also makes me headcanon Sam as greysexual, which i do like but dont think is what the showrunners where going for)
Because they wanted to throw in basically a hot babe character for them to save there are now also a lot of ppl who know about the supernatural specifically because of Sam and Dean. In my mind a lot of them (especially all the early twenties women looking for answers and community) will join a facebook group of Sam and Dean Survivors. They could share experiences, some of them might become hunters, or allies to hunters (researchers, a safe place to stay, etc.) I kept a list of characters that survived and know about things that bump in the night:
Haley, Tommy & Ben Collins; Ep 2, siblings saved from the Wendigo, one of them was captured and the others joined for the recue
Andrea & Lucas Bar; Ep 3, Lucas almost drowned due to a lake ghosting haunting his bully grandad
Amanda Walker; Ep 4, stewardess who survided the plane-crashing demon
Charlie; Ep 5, teenager who was almost a victim to Bloody Mary
Becky Warren; Ep 6, Sam's college pal, who was the shapeshifter tortured (her brother was the suspect before, but he didn't see anything himself, he might find out from his sister tho)
Lori Sorensen; Ep 7, church girl who got haunted by hookman (her dad got stabbed by the ghost, but might just think it was a dude?)
Larry, Matt & Joanie Pike; Ep 8, the housing development family who survived the bug horror night
Jenny and Sari; Ep 9, new residents of the old winchester house, got haunted some ghosts (also baby Ritchie was lured into the fridge, but he is also like 4 at most)
Kat & Gavin; Ep 10, ex-gf and bf who got trapped in the super haunted asylum with Sam and Dean (Kat is the one who inspired this list and also def a future hunter)
Emily Jorgesons; Stephen & girlfriend; Ep 11, they were all chosen to be sacrifed to the scarecrow, Emily actually knows why, the other couple just knows some shit went down
David Wright; Ep 12, the atheist protesting against faith healing who saw a reaper attacking him (also 2 young kids at the start who were captured by a rawhead)
Cassie & Audrey Robinson; Ep 13, would-be victims of racist ghost truck, Cassie was Dean's old flame
Alice Miller; Ep 14, Max' stepmom, who is the only survivor of the family after Max killed his dad, uncle and then himself
Ed Zeddmore & Harry Spengler; Ep 17, intro of the ghost hunters!! they already believed, but now they actually saw a supernatural creature
Micheal; Ep 18, kid whose younger brother also got his life engergy stolen so was willing to use himself as bait
Sarah Blake; Ep 19, auctioneers daughter, she helped destroy the haunted painting, had a thing with Sam
Monica Holt; Ep 21, mother of the fam they saved from yellow-eyes, by breaking and entering their house (Dad Charlie didn't see anything supernatural, but was also there, also baby Rosie)
Hon. Mention: Kathleen Hudak; Ep 15, cop only heard Sam and Dean talk about how the assailants "are human" but did let them go before the rest of the force would arrive, I imagine she would join the facebookgroup and then just figure it out on her own from there
(- unrelated mostly but the rewatch i never continued with i did that one on netflix, because that was available to me then, now i just watch it online elsewhere and i didnt realise netflix changed a lot of the music lisencing so i went into ep 6 kinda hype cause the last time i heard the song Mary by the Death Riders for the first time and thought it was a dope song that added a lot to the scene of the shapeshifter actually shifting and developing his character, so i kept waiting for them to play it and then they didnt, which had me frantically googling what the music of the ep was cause i low-key felt like i was going insane for a second before i found out it was a netflix vs non-netflix thing)
I have thoughts about each individual episode as well, but I think ive rambled on long enough, lets see if i keep this up for season 2 and beyond lol

WWE 2K24 Celebrates 40 Years Of Wrestlemania
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/wwe-2k24-celebrates-40-years-of-wrestlemania/
WWE 2K24 Celebrates 40 Years Of Wrestlemania
Tumblr media
With Wrestlemania 40 on the horizon, WWE 2K24 appropriately celebrates the milestone by highlighting four decades of the grandest stage of them all. The “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes graces the cover of this year’s installment. Additionally, Bianca Belair and current Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley share the Deluxe Edition cover, making them the first women to receive a dedicated cover.
First off, the gallery below shows off the cover art for each of the game’s three editions (read on for details on each):
This year’s documentary-style Showcase mode is dubbed Showcase…of the Immortals and lets players relive some of the most iconic moments in Wrestlemania’s history. As in previous years, the mode will seamlessly switch from gameplay to live-action footage of the match and will feature unlockable content for completing optional objectives.
2K24 introduces four new match types: Ambulance, Special Guest Referee, Casket, and Gauntlet. Improvements have been made to existing matches; for example, Backstage Brawl now supports four players and more interactive elements. The Royal Rumble supports eight-player online play. WarGames and other popular stipulations such as Hell in a Cell, TLC, and Extreme Rules will return.
Gameplay additions include Super Finishers, a trading blows mini-game, and players can do top rope dives outside of the ring onto a group of adversaries. There are also double title matches, new Paybacks, new weapon types such as trash cans, guitars, and microphones, and you can throw weapons.
Tumblr media
MyRise returns with two brand-new storylines. MyGM has been expanded with more GMs, match types, championships, and a new feature called Superstar Journey, where talent can earn XP to level up by training and participating in matches. MyFaction now includes ranked online Quickplay with unique rewards and seasonal leaderboards.
Universe mode has expanded rivalry options such as run-ins, Money in the Bank cash-ins, and new cutscenes. New stipulations include Double Title matches, Special Guest Referee, and Loser Leaves Town. The Creation Suite now lets you create referees and crowd signs in addition to new parts and animations for the existing templates, such as Superstars, entrances, arenas, and more.
A small glimpse of the playable roster has been revealed. Additionally, several real-life referees will be included in the game for the first time (but are not playable). If previous years are an indication, expect a gradual rollout of roster reveals and ratings over the coming weeks.
Andre the Giant
Asuka
Bianca Belair
Charlotte Flair
Cody Rhodes
John Cena
Randy Savage
Rey Mysterio
Rhea Ripley
Roman Reigns

2K24 will be available in three editions. The Standard Edition will be $69.99 on current-gen consoles and $59.99 on last gen and PC. Quick guide for newer players bc I feel like I see these questions a lot and the GC scrolls so fast it's hard to figure out the answers
under a readmore bc it got massive sorry
1. Ripples - there is no guaranteed way to spawn ripples, they appear at random from doing Sonic and Ritual Miracles. You'll most commonly find them while doing multibattles but I'm pretty sure they can spawn from singles. I've heard they have a 1/3% chance of spawning but I have no idea if that's confirmed.
2. If you want to at(@) someone in world chat go to their profile picture and hold it. Then check the typing space and their name should be there. It doesn't actually notify them but it's a little easier to spot.
3. Espers - Dhalia and Suhua are ripple exclusive, Melanie is only available from the club shop, and Lucas is only from completing the Spacial Tower (but is available to pull afterwards). The two event espers (Meredith and Aurelius) aren't available from pulls at the moment. You can get Aurelius from the shop but Meredith isn't going to be available for a while from what I've heard.
4. Starimon - promotion material. You can level them up but sometimes you shouldn't- for example, the ones you can get from Disassembling Espers are Level 30 Rare Starimon and (once per week) Level 40 Epic Starimon, which are both at the max level and ready to be promoted (promote them). Pay attention to the star rating because the background colors and names can be confusing. And don't level up Level 1 Epic Starimon. Promotion requires the same number of equivalent materials as the current star rank- a 3 star esper needs 3 3 star materials, a 4 star needs 4, and a 5 star needs five. Also always resonate espers before using them as materials because resonating gives a starimon of equivalent rarity.
5 - Relics - less of a question itself more of multiple building questions which come down to about the same thing. Relics have main and substats. First thing though is sell any 2 or 3 Star Relics, and sell most 4 Star Relics after early game. You will need the money.
5a. Relic main stats - sell any Square, Circle, or Spade Relics with flat stats (eg no percentage) EXCEPT FOR SPADE RELICS WITH SPEED. Spades are the only ones that can have that stat and it's very important.
5b. Substats - this is less hard and fast but generally I sell Relics with only 2/3 substats that have one or more flat stats. Unlike triangle diamond and hexagon Relics substats do not have to be flat, so if a relic has too many it's going to reduce the chance of upgrading more useful stats. Again this excludes Speed which is a VERY important stat.
6. AP and Speed - AP stands for Action Points and is measured (I've heard) 1 to 100 and is visually represented by the little progress bar with the esper icons. An esper's Speed stat affects how fast they gain AP, but some abilities also affect it. AP control is very important because it determines when you or your opponent can take your turns. It makes Point War a nightmare
7. I don't know if there's a way to turn of animations for the third skill I have never seen a definitive answer.
8. You get M-Coins from quests and they don't do anything besides give you bonus rewards from the M-Pass. Still worthwhile for free stuff but that's all they do.
I didn't expect for this to get so long but I hope this helps at least a bit! Feel free to ask questions if anything doesn't make sense.
