Night flight

It's way past midnight when Aloy glides down towards Barren Light.  

She can barely make out the ground, the moonless sky especially dark tonight. 

Her Shieldwing provides gentle illumination from above, still she nearly jumps out of her skin when her feet brush the crown of an unseen tree, scraping her ankle and shin. 

"Ugh!" she mutters and lifts her knees higher to her chest. 

Only a moment later, she curses with every color of the rainbow when she lands ungracefully on bone-dry dirt and grass, falls to her knees, her palms hot with pain where she left skin on rock, then sneezes as a small dust cloud she’s managed to produce rises up and tickles her nose.

“Welcome to Barren Light,” she mumbles, rubbing away the aches in her hands and knees, then chuckles at herself and the clumsy landing.

This is love pt 1

(So i've recently fallen in love with a new ship which is Aizawa n Keigo, for now, I'm going to call them 'NightFlight'. I wanna play around with them, so here's a lil short story. Yes it's actually fluff, I'm not here to torture ya'll with this one. Its only a lil sad but. I hope you all like it) Shota often forgot what love felt like especially when it came to falling in love. He was too busy grading essays, putting in grades, coming up with lesson plans, and nightly patrol to remember. Shota often forgot he was even a human being and not just some machine who’s only fuel was coffee and snuggles from his cat. That was until Keigo had come in to help with internships and would often sit in on lesson plans. Shota didn’t remember when Keigo basically became his 4-times-a-month in-class teacher’s assistant. First, it just started out with Keigo casually refilling his coffee for him, then when he would spend nights at the teacher’s apartment he would help with grading multiple-choice tests, and now he was helping out some of the other students with their classwork. Keigo never even went to a normal school growing up, how the hell was he doing this?! Then again Shota was never one to assign horrendous amounts of work, and he would sometimes have to teach Keigo things that he was teaching and always broke it down into simple matters.

Shota knew from the start he loved Keigo, once he got his feelings sorted out at least, and Keigo loved him. He didn’t know you could fall in love with the same person over and over again! This week had been rough for Shota, as this was the upcoming anniversary of the day he lost one of his best friends. Usually, Shota could pull through it or at least he thought he was. He would always force away an impending doom that always loomed over him around this time. This feeling would make him anxious and keep him up at night. He would have nightmares of the event of that day, and would then have nightmares of the same things or something similar happening to his students. He was already sleep-deprived as is and night terrors on top of it weren’t something that made functioning easy.

Today was the day and he was okay! Well during the first half he was, all he had to do was hand out a test and make sure no one cheated. Easy enough but the exhaustion was going to pounce on him sooner rather than later and Keigo could see it a mile away. He saw how Shota struggled to keep his eyes open or keep a straight conversation when explaining something to a student. How he just barely caught himself tripping over his own feet.

So what did Keigo do? Wait till Shota finally passed out at his desk, put his headphones on the older man to block out any noise and looked over his lesson plans.

Shota didn’t even remember falling asleep, but he woke up with his head on his desk and to silence…Silence?! Was class over? He sat up and saw his students still seated and taking notes, but he wasn’t teaching. Why was there no sound? Then he noticed the headphones and slipped them off and was hit by the sound of Keigo reading off a book. He was teaching them from his lesson plans. For some reason seeing him standing up at the front of the classroom room confidently explaining hero history made his heart melt. A part of him wanted to get up and take over but the other half of him was too tired to care and pulled him back into his dreams. This time they weren’t so bad, nothing that would make him scream, yelp, or thrash.

When he woke up again he realized he had slept through his classes but damn did he need it. He was still tired but it had gotten better! Now was the hard part, going to Oboro’s grave. Even though the body had been decimated, he was still given a grave. Going to his grave was always hard but he could never bring himself to skip out on it, thinking of it as a sign of disrespect for his old friend who he knew would come to his grave no matter what.

Keigo went along with him for support, something Shota often pushed away, but today he let himself have it. He let himself lean into Keigo’s shoulder and even cried when looking at the tombstone became too much. He let himself ball like a bitch till he couldn’t any longer. And Keigo held him. Shota was never one for kissing but being hugged was enough. He needed that warm loving embrace again. It reminded him he was still a human being, a human being who was loved. Keigo would rub soft circles into his back encouraging him to cry. He would promise him that his friend was happy that he had came, and would be proud of how far he had come as a person.

Shota couldn’t help but feel his heart do summersaults every time Keigo gently told him ‘i’m proud of you’ or ‘I love you’. It was the same feeling he felt whenever Keigo took him out to get his favorite dinner to take home. It was the same feeling he had when Keigo would cuddle up to him while watching a movie he enjoyed. This was love!

wada sez: Reader, I have truly failed you. I clicked on every single Micromaster on the wiki and was still unable to conclusively identify several of the indistinct cameos in the background. I hope you can one day find it in your heart to forgive me. The second of Villa’s Lovecraft-inspired strips, this one is titled from the opening of “The Festival”, which together with “The Shadow Over Innsmouth” informs the plot. As noted at the bottom of the strip, it continues from Furman’s Revelation miniseries (though with the asterisk that this is Dreamwave-amalgamated Seeds of Deception continuity), expanding on the Gorlam Prime subplot begun with Spotlight: Nightbeat. Villa also notes some Beast Machines influence on this one! Preview and Italian translation below.

A list of things I will never be over in no particular order: movie edition

1.) That one scene in The Pirates where they have to pee and they do it in the ocean together-- its definitely a 'you have to watch it to understand it kind of thing'. It is my favorite movie. It is ridiculous and hilarious and I love everything about it. Please watch it.

2.) The movie that made me ball my eyes out: Night Flight. But the scene where he beats everyone's ass-- like hardcore just slaughters everyone-- like umph the vidication was so good.

3.) A Werewolf Boy. Another movie that made me cry but it was angry tears this time. Did not like the end of it but Song Joong-ki is top tier in it.

4.) Tazza 2. This was around the time I was obsessed with TOP from BigBang-- so of course I watched it. I can't say the acting is fantastic but if you are a fan of TOP being aloof then this is the movie for you.

5.) Every scene in Spellbound. Its one of my top three movies I love to rewatch. It's so spooky and cute. Lee Min Ki and Son Ye-jin are an adorable pair and I loved their chemistry.

6.) Always-- who doesn't love to watch suffering and longing? Especially when delievered by a constantly shirtless and buff So Ji Sub. I really really thought it was going to be a bad ending.

8.) Monster. I'm usually too much of a wimp to watch scary movies BUT Lee Min Ki. This was a terrifying show and Lee Min Ki was fantastic in it. Plus he's a really pretty bad guy. I'ts very hard not to root for him.

9.) Who hasn't seen The Man From Nowhere? I love found family and a complete retired badass putting back on his badass shoes and going after anyone and everyone who even looked at his sunshine adopted daugther sideways. Chef's kiss.

10.) Mission: Possible. I'm a sucker for good fight scenes and cute fighty couples. Tis my favroite thing. If that is your thing too then definitely watch!

Nightfall in the Sky

As night fell, the sky transformed into a canvas of stars, casting a soft glow over our journey. Rufus peered out of the balloon's basket, his eyes wide with wonder and a hint of unease. The once vibrant landscape below faded into a sea of shadows, and the only sound was the gentle whoosh of the hot air balloon burner.

Despite his initial anxiety, Rufus seemed mesmerized by the tranquil beauty of the night. The moonlight illuminated his fur, making him look almost ethereal. It was a serene moment, a stark contrast to the day's excitement and questions.

Victor, ever the seasoned pilot, reassured us that everything was going smoothly. He shared stories of his countless night flights, each one adding a layer of comfort to the quiet night. As we drifted through the night sky, I felt a deep sense of peace and awe. The world below was sleeping, but up here, we were on a magical adventure.

Whisper is the leader of the Air Strike Patrol. Whisper cannot raise their voice and often relies on recordings and sounds coming from their speaker in order to communicate. Whisper is head strong and put themselves in harms way before the other patrol members

Nightflight dubbed himself for the spy role but because of wanting to battle and entering quick and cheap fights most of the information gathered is useless 90% of the time. Nightflight is often irritable, loud and often looking for an argument or fight amongst fellow Decepticons or enemy Autobots.

Storm Cloud is second in command to Whisper to help them voice their strategies that majority of the time Storm Cloud comes up with himself. Storm Cloud is blunt and will say whatever is on his mind. Storm Cloud has a proficiency in dealing with electronic machines and can generate small static that can disable minor machines and transmissions.

Tailwind is a gossip and cannot stay quiet. Tailwind usually give away their position and plans rather quickly because of this. They have are quite fond of collecting random items that relate to the sky.
