not even a real hater, i hope tsats2 is batshit insane genuinely. instead of tartarus they should go to christian heaven or something. will gets pregnant. the camp blows up. naomi takes them on a road trip. theres an evil camp half blood in the underworld. tyson takes over chb. grover is engaged. percy and annabeth get rejected from school. jason comes back to life for 3 mins. camp jupiter starts letting in normal ppl for fun. bianca shows up saying she got lost. thanatos calls nicos iphone 15s to say that the hot topic won't be finished in time. nico's weapon is a mallet. exciting tbh

if they’re going to tartarus just to save bob they’re going on the wrong quest 😭😭 like…. ethan nakamura used the sword of hades to summon iapetus which is EXACTLY what they’re trying to do

and riordan’s team is relaunching sword of hades with tsats attached which means they want that story fresh in our minds

so… the sword of hades and its key that unlocks death is definitely coming into play. we know that hades has forbidden nico to go to tartarus from tower of nero, so youd think he might be more open to letting nico use the sword. but nico seems to be planning to tunnel in to tartarus directly using the trogs. something doesn’t add up here!

all this to say, if there’s a need to go to tartarus, it’s definitely not just about bob.

and it maybe has something to do with nyx

Forgive me for deigning to take a Riordan book too seriously, but like, is it just me, or is everything in the preview so far indicating that:

1. Jason is what Nico wants

2. Will is what Nico has

3. Nico can't have what he wants

Why does Cupid, the god who once forced Nico to admit his feelings for a boy who he didn't even want to pursue anymore, the god who Nico justifiably never wants to face again, take the form of Will? And literally says THIS?

Nico spent that entire scene resisting having to face Cupid, and wishing he could see Jason instead.

Every instance of Nico's infatuation with Will in this book feels so much thinner than anything an actual shipper would write. And yeah, I get it, Rick's writing just sucks sometimes. But I'm gonna play the delusional bitch's advocate for a sec and ask like, what if Nico is literally actually still in love with Jason, and he doesn't want to admit it to himself OR will because he doesn't want to ruin the one stable thing he (or Will) has had in a very long time???!!! What if the thing he has to leave behind is his first romantic relationship, that isn't actually what's best for either of them anymore??????!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT IF THEY REALLY DO FIND JASON IN TARTARUS SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY AND ALL THREE FINALLY FIND CONTENTMENT IN A POLYAMOROUS RELATIONSHIP WITH

Tartarus was too short and watered down - Aklyhs? Maybe a Luke appearance?

That whole persephone scene - like cmon Will what is this: oh idk how to love you Nico, who is hopelessly devoted to and in love with me bs

Why does Will have to fell responsible for Nicos choices, also could've gotten to and out of Tartarus faster with shadow travel, but William said no so that's the way it works. Over 50%of this bs could've been avoided with shadow travel

Don't ever think that Nico would be friend his insicurities but okay

In all seriousness though, this book wasnt that terrible
