You know, this made me think of a world where the Nex/Aisha/Roy love triangle was about Aisha wanting to be with someone who's good at fighting (so they don't get injured and die) or someone who's loving and caring who is a bit worse at combat (like she wants, but is afraid they'll die)

She goes for Nex at first, because she doesn't want to be attached to Roy if he gets killed before she realizes she is absolutely miserable being with someone who's this competitive and an asshole to the people around him and then goes for Roy????????

You know what? I think the real reason Nex being an asshole annoys me is because all of the Winx have grown so much

None of them would tolerate that behavior (including Riven when he's written with continuity). Like Nex would intentionally go overboard fighting with Roy, or spitefully splash Timmy in an attempt to make himself look better and they'd all sit him down and make him aware that this behavior isn't acceptable and he needs to try again but kinder this time

Like they wouldn't get mad and try to fight him over it but they wouldn't ignore the behavior, they'd just all b like "I'm disappointed in you", maybe feel a little bad for his stupid ass because this shit is so insecure it's painful

It would have been to see them just not take this kind of disrespect anymore, or like Riven taking an active role in getting Nex to see the error of his insecure ways because he's been there too and he understands that it was awful

I can feel the loss of character development, ew

Idk if the writers were interested in writing Riven well and keeping his character development season to season instead of resetting it at the beginning of each one, this would of been an amazing moment of showing development and Nex and Riven could be friends, and Nex could be super competitive with Aisha and try to get her attention without putting others

Like??? That would be so cute??? Id be obsessed

That AND they're trying to convince me that Aisha wouldn't care about this stuff when if Aisha was in s1 she'd have absolutely wrecked Riven the MOMENT he said some dumb shit and that's just the truth. She would not put up with Nex for even 2 seconds without either throwing him into the ocean or telling him to shape up or scram
