#New laptop

I've gotten several asks about sending me money, or a laptop, so it's time that I reveal to you, a situation, that's been going on without your knowledge, because I kept it a secret.

So a while ago, while my laptop was breaking down and had to be glued together every week, I got a message from a woman on tumblr, telling me that she could send me a second-hand laptop, so I wouldn't have to glue mine together. I naturally rejected immediately, because it was too much of a gift, and I wouldn't be able to repay it.

But then, I spent the rest of the day thinking that it might have been a bad decision, because my laptop would be dead soon, and I had no funds to get another one, and it wasn't like I was offered money, I hate money, but I don't hate a second hand laptop. I kept thinking back on it and wishing I acted differently. So I went back to the conversation, and the woman reassured me that it wouldn't take anything away from anyone, she's a part of a charitable organization that donates used electronics and chose me to take part in a pilot scheme, because she liked my blog. I was slightly concerned that it might have been a scam because it sounded too good to be true, but the woman shared more information about it, it looked real, and my gut feeling was saying yes this is real, however unbeliveable, there might be someone out there so kind they would make sure you have access to your tumblr blog.

So I accepted the laptop. It was nerve wrecking because all my friends told me it was a scam, and the customs took hold of it and held it hostage and made it their business to tax gifted items, and while this was happening, my old laptop died, and of course I complained about it on tumblr because thats what tumblrinas do.

But, the laptop got to me. It arrived yesterday. And it works. And I love it. I'm back to having access to tumblr!

Now I'm not saying you should all accept that people on the internet wanting to send you stuff are genuine, or giving them your private information so they could send you stuff, that is... a risky situation, and in this one case,,,, it worked out,,,, in my favour. I am unbeliveably grateful for the laptop and it's the best thing ever. It's an unbeliveable story to tell, nobody believes me this happened, and I'm just over the moon over having a functional laptop. It's all in one piece! I don't have to ductape anything! The battery works! The graphics look amazing! It doesn't shut down randomly! It doesn't have parts dangling off the side! The screen can be tilted at any angle and it doesn't fall down! I can play stardew valley on it! The woman even wrote me a handwritten letter and I swooned over it.

I'm lucky to be so adored by tumblr that I'm able to get something incredible like this, only because all of you women are genuinely kind and care about having me around. Thank you for enabling this blog!

Laptop is broken I need it for work

None if the fundraisers I've done to get a new laptop in the past have worked and I've had to rely on my friends to give me their old laptops in the past to continue working online while I look for a job.

I don't know if I'll raise enough this time around either but it's an attempt.

I don't know what to do, my laptop is broken and I can't get it to work. I'm doing everything, it's a few years old so I know it needed to be replaced a while ago. But I can't afford to. I owe commissions I cannot do commissions without my computer. I don't have any device to do them on. My phone is breaking too.

Sorry for not being active for a short while, I just got my new laptop and I had to move all of my stuff from my old computer and mom's laptop to this one. I also had to install a new screen record app, which allows me to make videos for gifs. I made two Clement ones, just to test them and see how they look:

Got me a stronger gaming laptop! Mainly for sims and Baldur’s Gate 3. Maybe I’ll even be able to play sims 3 again since I miss playing it! Just gotta wait a few more days!

And for any techy simmers, this is a good or great laptop right?

Hello, dear readers,

I got financing to get a new laptop!

Its like $67 a month for 18 months but I got a laptop I wanted instead of getting something cheap that I will have to replace in 2 years.

Only issue is it wont be there till the 25th and I can't even turn on my Surface Pro 7 anymore…

Which means writing is at a semi stand still until then but I will try to write on my cell phone and set up my new laptop asap! 💜💜💜

Gave in and made an impulsive purchase on a new laptop... it's a nice laptop but I realized too late that this doesn't have enough storage space to replace my main laptop. I've had my main laptop for 5 years now so it does feel like it's time for a upgrade.

I definitely want something that will be powerful enough to handle video editing and other performance based tasks like this. Sadly, this one I bought won't be enough for that but it's still a nice back up laptop to use for stuff like writing. This one will be easier to take with me on the go which is always a plus.

Brand new shiny laptop and I are getting to know each other and it's pretty fucking awkward.

It's like a blind date when you think you're going to work well together but one of you has weird quirks and it isn't you.

Today has been a great Christmas - probably one of the best I've had in so long. Wonderful fair share of gifts given and received, and I couldn't imagine having a better one in my life until now. While it was certainly great to spend time with my family, today... I had a rather positive emotional episode, feeling absolute joy for the holiday when I thought it was all but dampened at first. I actually cried in tears of joy - letting out all of my emotions at once. It was.... legitimately unexpected, and it made me even more excited for the rest of the day - even now as I'm typing this, I can't get over how raw it all felt, and I'm happy to feel something of this level after so long.

And that all extents to a very special gift - one I prepared for more than a month in advance... and it was for myself.

Folks, I'm happy to say that in preparation for my plans next year, I have gifted myself a Lenovo LOQ laptop - one that will allow me to bring better possibilities for creating content on my channels. It's a very big step, as it not only gives me a chance to bring that creative process wherever I go, but also shows what I'm truly capable of now that I have a full-time job, and after all that's happened this year, I saw it fitting to make this my reward after taking this well-deserved break.

Now, for some, this scenario may sound familiar to you all, and I'd be lying if I said that there wasn't any caveats to this special treat, and unfortunately one of them came up as of today. Turns out I was possibly given another special gift (nondiscrimitively); Covid! :'D

Yyyyyyup, got it while I was away yesterday, and miraculously the symptoms started coming up as of today (a Christmas miracle lol), once again putting a damper on my mood because sickness is just so much fun. So yeah, there's that. Don't wanna jinx anything just yet, but I'll make it through this regardless. Thank God I got mood tea for Christmas too - that's what woke up my spirits before, and I'm probably gonna be drinking tons of it. =_=

All that aside though, the other caveats of getting this new laptop stems from just how little time I have nowadays to work on things, but given I don't have to be in the same spot every day when doing so, i imagine this will increase my productivity a TON, so at least there's a positive there. Additionally, there's also the off chance this may not change anything for me immediately. But that's what therapy is for - and I'm still very glad I finally started it, because I imagine it will give me the push I need, especially after a good day like this, and I don't want to end it on a negative note because I feel like crap physically.

With that said, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas or Holiday season - despite my own setbacks as of recent, I had a wonderful one, and I know it's one I'm not going to forget. Take care of yourselves, and here's to the new year! Much love, folks! 💙

It feels weird when I don't have a laptop/computer. From the 24th of July to the 29th of July, I had to wait for a new laptop to be delivered because my other one messed up. I'm so used to writing so much in my free time that it feels wrong when I can't. Maybe I should invest in a second one just in case it happens again. Idk. Sorry for rambling. I just thought I would share.

P.S. - I wasn't able to purchase it on my own. My fiance bought it and I'm paying him back bit by bit. I love him so much. Anyway, y'all have a good day.
