Perijove 16: Passing Jupiter Video Credit & License: NASA, Juno, SwRI, MSSS, Gerald Eichstadt; Music: The Planets, IV. Jupiter (Gustav Holst); USAF Heritage of America Band (via Wikipedia)
Explanation: Watch Juno zoom past Jupiter again. NASA's robotic spacecraft Juno is continuing on its 53-day, highly-elongated orbits around our Solar System's largest planet. The featured video is from perijove 16, the sixteenth time that Juno has passed near Jupiter since it arrived in mid-2016. Each perijove passes near a slightly different part of Jupiter's cloud tops. This color-enhanced video has been digitally composed from 21 JunoCam still images, resulting in a 125-fold time-lapse. The video begins with Jupiter rising as Juno approaches from the north. As Juno reaches its closest view -- from about 3,500 kilometers over Jupiter's cloud tops -- the spacecraft captures the great planet in tremendous detail. Juno passes light zones and dark belt of clouds that circle the planet, as well as numerous swirling circular storms, many of which are larger than hurricanes on Earth. As Juno moves away, the remarkable dolphin-shaped cloud is visible. After the perijove, Jupiter recedes into the distance, now displaying the unusual clouds that appear over Jupiter's south. To get desired science data, Juno swoops so close to Jupiter that its instruments are exposed to very high levels of radiation.

Honda Activa 6G Price in Bangalore
When it comes to scooters, the Honda Activa 6G is one of the best sellers. The second most popular scooter in India. Its specifications are impressive, too. It features a 109cc single-cylinder engine, six different colours, a spring-loaded hydraulic 3-step suspension, and Telescopic suspension. This scooter is a great choice for beginners, and it is available in both petrol and electric versions.
109cc single-cylinder engine:
The Honda Activa 6G is a 109cc single-cylinder scooter with a CVT gearbox and eSP technology. Its new eSP technology allows for silent start up, reduces friction, and increases mileage by as much as 10%. ESP technology, coupled with Honda's fuel-injection system, improves combustion efficiency and fuel efficiency, and improves rider comfort. Honda offers six different colors for the Activa.
Six colours:
The Honda Activa 6G comes in six different colours, including Glitter Blue Metallic, Pearl Spartan Red, Dazzle Yellow metallic, Black, and Pearl Precious White. The Activa 6G continues to compete with the TVS Jupiter, and is available in six different colour schemes. Whether you prefer red or black, this automatic scooter will match any decor. Its compact design makes it an easy and practical choice for any commuter.
Telescopic suspension:
While it is not known if a telescopic suspension will be fitted to the Honda Activa 6G, its competitors will get the same feature. The bike is seen testing in Pune near the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) offices. The telescopic suspension would definitely improve the ride quality of the scooter. At present, the Honda Activa uses a hydraulic type of front suspension, which has lower braking power. The telescopic suspension of the Honda Activa 6G would allow the scooter to absorb road bumps and improve its handling and balance.
3-step adjustable spring-loaded hydraulic:
The new version of the Activa has a new chassis design with telescopic front forks and a three-step adjustable spring-loaded hydraulic rear suspension. Both the Activa 5G and the Activa 6G have a higher wheelbase, 12-inch front wheels, and a CBS (combi-brake system) with equalizer. This new bike also features a new cabin with an improved floor space and wheelbase.
Six-year warranty:
The six-year Honda Activa 6G warranty covers both the standard and extended parts of the motorcycle. While the standard warranty covers three years, the extended warranty is valid for an additional three years. The warranty is also transferable, so if you decide to purchase the six-year-old bike, the new one will come with no extra charge. Honda is also offering attractive finance schemes and benefits worth Rs 10,000. The six-year warranty is valid for the Activa 125 BS6 motorcycle and the Activa 6G scooter. The new Honda Activa 6g is also said to give 13% more mileage than its predecessor, the Activa 5G. The new Honda Activa 6G is said to have better ground clearance and longer wheelbase than its predecessor.

50 More Days of Comics! 18/50: Batman and the Outsiders #14 (1984)
So! Batman and the Outsiders!
So basically what happened it that once the Justice League told Batman that they weren’t going to get involved in a foreign military coup so Batman got mad, quit, and formed his own team without blackjack because there’s no time for fun when there’s work to be done. Playing cards are for solving crimes.
On the Outsiders we have Brion Markov/Geo-Force Terra’s brother and user of abstract Earth powers, Jefferson Pierce/Black Lightning a man destined to be changed in adaptation so no royalties have to be paid, Metamorpho a shapeshifter, Tatsu/Katana who owns a katana, and Gabrielle/Halo who has a power for every color of the rainbow and also amnesia.
And this issue is 1984 Olympic themed. Seriously, check the cover.
The issue starts off with Halo on a date which gets interrupted when Geo-Force throws a garbage can. After she chases him down and dumps him in front of Katana, he defends himself that he was just chaperoning her because young American men are all horndogs. When Halo says that maybe she wanted to be taken advantage of, Geo-Force actually gasps in shock horror. Katana tells him not to mess with Halo’s dating life again.
Halo is kind of hilarious by the way. The idea is that she’s supposed to be portrayed as basically a womanchild because of her amnesia but during this scene she’s so hilariously over-dramatic.
Halo: “I caught this nerd, spying on me! He ruined everything! Phil’ll never talk to me again, I’ll die an old maid, I’ll—”
Halo again later: “Boy, what a bummer! Maybe I’ll just join a convent, and end the suspense!”
Meanwhile in Arkham Asylum, a dangerous Batman rogue who will become the villain of this story and in fact, apparently the archnemesis of the Outsiders over this series.
Maxie Zeus.
He’s a guy. Who think he’s Zeus. Just because his name is Zeus.
This story tries to paint him as a threat and sure, that’s fine. But I just want to note that when Bane busted open Arkham during Knightfall (the story wherein Bane broke Batman’s back), Maxie Zeus was the only escaped rogue who the police captured with no help from Batman. Because he ran into a tree and knocked himself unconscious. And now he has to live with that. Being the person that happened to.
Anyway, Zeus is writing a letter to his daughter Medea, or his daughter who he thinks is Medea, or an unrelated girl named Medea who he thinks is his daughter for her birthday, hoping she got the lyre and pipes she sent and commiserating with her wish that she had a mother.
And then he spots a newspaper and sees something that changes everything like an omen!
Every 100% wool suit now only $125-$200! Wow!
Wait, that’s the side towards the camera.
Well whatever he saw it gives him the motivation to escape Arkham by the ingenious escape plan of hitting the janitor with a trashcan and then switching clothes with him.
Thaaaaaaaat’s Arkham for you!
In fairness, or not very fairness but in some fairness, despite Batman telling the asylum eleven times to put Maxie Zeus in maximum security they just didn’t listen to him! For obvious reasons.
Batman: “Just because he doesn’t look as dangerous as the Joker or Two-Face doesn’t mean he isn’t!”
Sure, Batman. Sure.
But Maxie left behind a clue to his schemes. A newspaper with an article about Olympic athlete Lacinia Nitocris. And Batnerd just so happens to know that Lacinia is another name for Juno, aka the wife of Jupiter aka Zeus.
So Maxie broke out of minimum security Arkham by hitting a janitor so he could force an Olympic athlete to marry him so his maybe daughter can have a mother.
He’s delusional but this is why he’s in minimum security. He breaks out and he doesn’t poison all the fish or whatever. He’s not really comic book crazy.
Now here’s a thing that’s just kinda weird. This issue is one of the earliest appearances of the Monitor of Crisis on Infinite Earths fame. Except instead of protecting the multiverse from his evil twin, he’s apparently a broker that rents superpowered mooks to supervillains.
Maxie calls on him for some ‘operatives.’
I’m sure this gets explained away but just always know from now on that one of the Monitor’s first appearances was as a headhunter who worked with Maxie Zeus.
Also happening: Halo tries to hook Katana up with her geometry teacher (because they’re both Asian?). And gets some turnabout is fair play on Brion.
He invited a classmate of his, Alisa, to a ‘study session.’ Scare quotes is because they start making out.
But Halo comes out of Brion’s bedroom in one of Brion’s shirts with sex hair going hey send the cleaning woman home so we can get back to it.
Alisa takes off in a huff and Brion chases after Halo in a snit. She insists that hey this is the same thing he did to her but he insists that it was totally different.
When he catches her, he grabs her and demands that she call Alisa to clear things up as she protests that he’s hurting her.
And then they start making out.
God, the hormones in this series are through the roof. Batman must be so vexed by these young adults.
Also they’re both two-timing their respective love interests. Not a great look, you two.
We finally get to the Olympics in the last seven pages of the book. Jefferson Pierce (as a previous gold medal winner) and Brion Markov (as a fancy foreign prince) are both very special guests, Batman has a private booth reserved under Bruce Wayne but Metamorpho has to be undercover as an ice cream seller and Katana and Halo are in really crappy seats.
You couldn’t even put them up in your fancy booth, Batman?
Also President Reagan is in attendance so security is supposedly tight although not tight enough to prevent Maxie from stealing an MBC News copter to infiltrate the Olympics.
When Batman realizes it, just slightly too late for it to mean anything, he orders the Outsiders to converge on the field.
Meanwhile, Zeus leaves the copter and introduces his new Monitor-provided friends. Well, not by name or power or anything. But he does walk in a cool group formation while speechifying.
Zeus: “Please, do not fear us! Rather you should welcome us
for we are he who has given his name to these games! I am Jupiter Olympus – perhaps better known as Zeus
and our companions are the New Olympians!”
The New Olympians take the President hostage, maybe?, and have Lacinia Nitocris brought out to Maxie.
But then Batman shows up and counters Zeus’s group shot and speechifying with his own.
Batman: “You act like you own the place, Zeus, but this is supposed to be a contest. Don’t even gods have to obey their own rules?”
Zeus: “Our patience wanes, mortal. Speak quickly.”
Batman: “This, then: let the President and the spectators leave unmolested. Then my Outsiders will fight your New Olympians, winner take all!”
Zeus: “Agreed.”
Because if you absolutely must do an Olympic special in your superhero book, definitely get the Greek-mythology themed guy as the villain and definitely have the villain team and the superhero team competing for medals.
I mean, I’m assuming that they’re going to do challenges and not just fight each other. A straight superhero fight would be dullsville. I want to see Batman jump some hurdles, dammit!
So, okay. This is a goofy premise. Especially considering that Batman and the Outsiders was supposed to be a book about Batman putting together his own team to deal with issues the Justice League refuses to touch. Fourteen issues in (hell, probably earlier) they’ve apparently abandoned that premise to be a goofy soap-opera drama and hormones normal team having wacky mishaps and I’m thrilled.
This was a fun issue.
Apparently later reboots of the Outsiders concept try to get back to the gritty seriousness. One iteration is a secret black-ops team for Batman and another is heroes pretending to be borderline villains for some reason, like a reverse Thunderbolts. And then there was the team of Outsiders that was born out of the Graduation Day crossover in which so many children died.
Just let comic books be about a goofus taking over the Olympics to try to marry an athlete because her name is an obscure mythological reference. Geez.

Honda Activa 5G Release new colors
The Honda Activa scooter with their 4G model was very much successful and it’s the best scooter available in India. Now the company has unveiled the next generation Honda Activa 5G scooter at Auto Expo 2018 which could easily out-throw the other scooter manufacturers.
We know that in future Activa 6G, 7G, 8G, 9G will come up but as of now is the Honda Activa 5G 2018 model.
The all-new fifth generation Honda scooter gets LED headlight and two news color addition.
Honda Activa 5G colors
Honda Activa motorcycle made by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India was launched in India in 2000 and it gave birth to gearless bikes. Now a lot of gearless two-wheelers are available in India.

Honda ActivaA brief history until Activa 5G launch
Honda launched a new version of the Activa in the Indian market launched on 2009-05-08 and is available to purchase, with a new 109 cc engine. The Production began in 2004 in Mexico. A 109/125 cc, 7 bhp (5.2 kW) scooter has the option of kick- and self-start includes the puncture-resistant “tuff-up” tyre and tube combination. Especially those living in cities shifted from gear-bikes to gear-less Honda Activa.
Power output was bumped up to 8 bhp (6.0 kW) and new features like combi-brake and key shutter were introduced. Fuel economy was claimed to be improved by 15%. Also, in June 2013, Honda introduced Activa-i, a sleek and stylish variant of Activa.
It was reported by Economic Times that Honda Activa became the best selling two-wheeler in India, in April 2014.  The new model shared most of the features with Activa, the primary difference being only in the body style.
During the month of September 2013, 141,996 Honda Activa scooters were sold.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India recently came up with Honda Activa 4G that costs Rs. 500 less than Activa 3G.
Next in the queue of new vehicle introduction would be Honda Activa 5G, however, there is no official news and the rumors of Honda Activa 5G scooter is still in the heat.
Honda Activa 3G Price – 54,605 onward (Ex-showroom, Mumbai). Again prices differ in different states. It is available in 1 version. Activa 3G has a mileage of 61 kmpl and a top speed of 82 kmph. Honda Activa 3G is available in 6 different colors: Trance Blue Metallic, Geny Grey Metallic, Pearl Amazing White, Black, Majestic Brown Metallic and Imperial Red Metallic.
The new Honda Activa 4G has been priced at Rs 50,730 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is Rs 440 more than the Activa 3G. It would be different in other cities based on its policies adhered to accordingly.
It is believed that Honda has passed on the GST benefits to its customers and prices for its two-wheeler have dropped between Rs 300 and Rs 700 depending on the state of purchase.
The single-cylinder engine delivers 8PS of power and 9Nm of peak torque. Suspension duties are handled by trailing link suspension at the front and a mono-shock unit at the back.
Drum brakes providing braking power and the Activa 4G gets Combi-Brake System (CBS) as a standard feature along with tubeless tyre. The Honda Activa 4G competes full-fledged against TVS Jupiter, Hero Maestro Edge, Yamaha Alpha and Suzuki Lets.
The Activa 4G is the latest installment in the famous Activa series by Honda. As the name suggests, Activa 4G is the fourth generation model of the scooter.
It has a kick and self-start with the wheels of Alloy. Also, has a Tubeless feature and a Standard Warranty for 2 years. However, there is no ‘Digital Fuel Indicator’ or ‘ABS’, however, has a ‘Low Fuel Warning Lamp’.
Drum Brakes provide good braking power and controlling a brake system and may also have opted for tubeless tyres.
The scooter has been updated with the auto headlamp on (AHO) feature and is now also BSIV compliant. In terms of looks, the fourth generation offering still runs on the basic design lines of the old scooters in this series and nothing revolutionary has been adapted in term of styling.
New Activa 5G Colours
The Activa 5G will be available in silver and grey in addition to the existing blue, red, black, white and brown paint schemes. It times to think about multi-color patterns.
All new Honda Activa 5G 2018 is available in following colors:
Dazzling Yellow
Pearl Amazing White
Matt Selene White
Pearl Spartan Red
Matt Axis Grey
Majestic Brown Metallic
Trance Blue Metallic
Black
So, that’s 8 colors to choose from. Nice!
It runs on a 109.19 cc Air cooled, 4 stroke engine which is now BSIV compliant. The engine churns out 8bhp of maximum power @7500 rpm and 9 Nm of peak torque @ 5500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a V–Matic gearbox for easy city riding. The company claims a top speed of around 83 km.
The Honda 4G vehicle is a tried and tested engine unit which has gained the trust of over millions of Indian two-wheeler buyers over the years. This engine is not only famous for its refinement but also reliability and durability as per the daily Indian situations.
Activa 5G would be a fine competitor for TVS Jupiter, Yamaha Alpha, Hero Maestro Edge etc.
Activa 5G also will have mobile charging socket, which is very useful nowadays. There are various color options are available for buyers. Honda Activa 5G engine may have 110cc as per the previous scooter.
Honda Activa 5G Specifications
Some of the new Activa 2018 features are (expected) –
Mileage: 65 Kmpl Engine Displacement: 110 cc Brakes Front: Drum Power: 8 bhp @ 7500 rpm Kerb Weight: 109 Kg Self Start: Yes Wheels Type: Alloy Tubeless Tyres: Yes
Seems like there are fewer options to change designing of Activa because of itself a most popular product of Honda India. It is speculated to include Combi Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer.
There are a lot of colors introduced by Honda for its other models such as Pearl Amazing White, Matt Selene Silver Metallic, Trance Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Majestic Brown, Lusty Red Metallic and Black color and hence, there is an assumption that the company would follow the trend.
It also features HET which is Honda Eco Technology that contributes to making it one of the most fuel-efficient scooters by Honda.
Activa is highest selling an automatic motorbike in India. It covers 58% market share in the scooter segment. So new Honda Activa 5G price is expected to be priced at Rs. 52684 INR at Ex-showroom. Which could be BS-IV or BS-V emission in tow wheeler segment.

TVS Motor Company, Country’s reputed two wheeler and three wheeler manufacturer has all reasons to smile – Reason: The first ever 125cc scooter TVS nTorq 125 which the company launched is an instant hit in India frightening the Japanese two wheeler giant Honda in its own forte – the scooter segment. TVS nTorq 125 since its launch in the month of February 2018 has posted a consistent sales figure every month and has even overtaken the sales figures of Honda Grazia 125 – a new 125cc scooter which Honda launched back in November 2017.
In this article, we are going to post the review of all new TVS nTorq 125 which has been long due since May 2018. Having driven the Honda Grazia 125cc scooter we think we should be able to rightly gauge nTorq 125 in all fronts like performance, style, design, mileage, price and more.
First Impressions
Looking at the nTorq 125, one can clearly notice the uniqueness in terms of how the scooter looks and feels. It is totally different from what Honda is offering in its Grazia/Activa or what Suzuki is offering in its long lived “Access 125”. The nTorq 125 doesn’t feel like “Yet-another-scooter” in the market. Few things which we observed as soon as we saw this bike is the dual “125” sports badge in the front overlayed on top of checkered flag background, the nice looking alloy wheels, the unique “T” shaped LED taillamp with a special type of design beneath, the Smart Connect badging and the full digital instrument cluster.
  Design
Just like TVS Apache RR310 motorcycle, the tri-color India flag sticker is present even on this scooter. The “Matte Yellow” colored TVS nTorq is the character color and blends very well with the Black giving a nice sport appeal. The overall styling and design is made keeping youth in mind, you can see lot of sharp curves, details through out the body especially when you see this scooter from the side profile angle.
Also check: All 6 color variants available in TVS NTORQ 125
The design cues are carry forwarded even to the the exhaust muffler. The seats are nice and bows down nicely to easily accommodate the short riders.
Engine and Performance
The all new TVS nTorq 125 scooter is powered by advanced CVTi-REVV 124.79cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 3-valve, air-cooled SOHC engine. The very new engine which is exclusively made for the nTorq 125 is pretty well refined and is capable to deliver more than 9.5 bhp of power and a maximum torque of 5500 rpm.
Technically details apart, the scooter is outright very powerful and kicks in lot of torque when you even lightly touch the throttle.  One can neatly badge this scooter as a sports performance scooter because of the type of performance feedback it gives as you sit on it – you will for sure notice a nice engine noise as you throttle that is pretty welcoming for someone who enjoys riding.
The scooter is equipped with race grade instrument cluster that fancily shows you all the lap timers, fuel, speed, distance and what not?. On top of this, the scooter is “SMART” as it can instantly sync with your smartphone through Smart X Connect that shall help you in navigation, dialing a phone contact or to to note down something important during your ride. At this point, TVS is offering the nTorq app only to customers with Android phones and those with iPhones are left disappointed.
Ride and Handling
The ride quality of nTorq 125 is good – the power delivery is consistent and delivers that extra push when you want it. Rides great on traffic and city conditions  – no complaints when it comes to maneuvering the vehicle in and out and turning through the curves. The scooter is stable and handle balance is good and doesn’t make you tired.
https://gaadikey.in/bikes/52/TVS-Ntorq-125
During our test in rainy condition, the scooter felt very light  and we could have liked if TVS added some more weight to this scooter  – so that it remains upright when you are passing through tough winds.  The suspension and braking worked neat. Thanks to 220mm Disc brake in the front, which adds more confidence when you are braking this performance scooter.
This scooter is aimed for young audience and who seeks something extra in terms of on road presence, style and performance.  While we were not so happy with the mileage of this scooter when compared to the old-school Dio or Activa, we were satisfied on the performance side – well it is a trade-off between power and mileage as one would know.
Riding with pillion was comfortable and it offered a good position for pillion to rest their foot. On the downside, you might not have the benefit of grab rails to hold those during the humps.
Dimensions and Practicality
The TVS nTorq 125 weighs 116.1 Kgs which should sound good for someone who is looking for a powerful 125cc scooter which is lighter.  The length of nTorq 125 measures 1865 mm, width is  710 mm and overall height is 1160 mm. The wheelbase of TVS nTorq 125 is 1285mm which helps in cornering your scooter. The ground clearance of 155 mm is practical and you might not hit the floor to any bad pothole at ease. The fuel tank capacity of nTorq 125 is 5 Litres.
TVS nTorq 125 offers ample amount of space under the seat where your helmet/jackets can be stacked in. Like other TVS scooters like Jupiter, nTorq 125 too gets external fuel filling facility and also offers optional mobile charging features as well.
Price
The TVS nTorq 125 is priced at Rs 63,800  ( Ex-showroom Bangalore). With the recent IRDA rule, you are required to have vehicle insurance for at atleast 5 years mimimum. Along with RTO registrations and some accessories the on-road price of nTorq 125 could shoot upto Rs 80,000 or more ( Depending on which city you live).
Verdict
If you are planning to buy an updated, modern, stylish and powerful scooter in 2018/2019 the all new nTorq 125 can be your go-to choice.  The scooter scores really well when compared with Suzuki Access 125, Grazia 125, Activa 125 or Aprilia SR 125.  The engine is refined plus powerful, unique sports styling, alloy wheels,  eye-catching LED tail lamps, the SmartXConnect system which syncs with smartphone for navigation and TVS’s reputation in service and quality  – makes us to give a BIG thumbs up for nTorq 125. Just go for it.

The all New Mercedes-Benz GLA 220d gets the 4WD unlike the older GLA series which offered only front wheel drive.  How does GLA 220d perform off the road?  To test its ability we did a super off-road test with the new Mercedes GLA 220d on our half day trip to Ramanagara which is at the outskirts of Bangalore. The GLA 220d is bestowed us a super comfortable drive. This beast cannot be called a SUV as it is quite compact but can be called a large hatchback.
Interior and Exterior
The exterior of the GLA offers a premium presence as the company claims. The GLA 220d comes with stylish chrome exteriors, rain-sensing wipers, 18 inch alloy wheel. Compared to the previous GLA variants the cabin comes with multimedia screen at the centre of the dashboard like that of a GLC, Keyless start and extra storage space. The highlights on the interior are ambient lighting in 12 colors, Smartphone integration package, Cruise control including SpeedTronic, ECO start/stop function The boot is also quite spacious with 421 litres capacity with the offering of extra 60 litres on folding the back seat
The interiors still mesmerises us with Automatic panoramic sliding sunroof, the seat adjustment is beautifully composed to the door in an artistic 3D seat format, Touchpad infotainment system with Dolby sound, interior lighting wherever required. And the infotainment control in the steering. Except for some better premium finish on the outer there is no difference in the car compared to its siblings.
Test Drive and Technical Specifications
We had missed testing the GLC 300 off-the-road during our review.  This time we had an opportunity to explore the GLA 220d for much longer time. We did a lot of stress test on the GLA 220d which gave us the chance to explore the ride quality of the car in different conditions. On the roads during summers it attracts lot of heat inside the cabin, Thanks to the glass roof, at times which made us feel congested when the AC was off. While doing off-road and drifting although suspension was great we felt lot of vibrations and after the drive we found the tyres bulged in few areas which was like a big NO!!!.
The 4Matic all wheel drive and the output of 125 kW (170 hp) and gives a class leading fuel efficiency of 18.66 km/l* . With up to 350 Nm of torque which makes it a performer when compared to its siblings.
Safety and Security
The GLA 220d comes with seven airbags, satellite navigation, tyre pressure sensors, cruise control and panoramic sunroof. With auto rain wipers, ABS, ASR and brake assist is also available in GLA220d
Price and Variants
The ex-showroom price of the GLA 220d 4MATIC diesel is at Rs 48.56 lakhs in Bangalore. It comes in four colours namely Jupiter Red, Polar Silver. Orient Brown, Cirrus White.
Verdict
We would surely recommend Mercedes Benz GLA 220d to all looking for compact SUV’s/largish hatchbacks in this budget because of its very high ground clearance matching Indian roads, the spacious cabin , the luxurious interiors and drive experience were great, but on off-road felt a little bumpy.

TVS Wego First Impressions
This is the third 110cc scooter which we are reviewing from TVS Motor Company after the TVS Jupiter and TVS Zest 110. TVS has a wide range of scooters in the 110cc category in the Scooty and Jupiter series. Today we will be testing the TVS’s Wego series. We picked the Dual-tone Orange-Black variant of TVS Wego from Hemant TVS, a very large TVS dealership located near Yelahanka of Bangalore. What follows below is our detailed review of TVS scooter.
Also read: TVS Zest 110 Review
TVS Wego Design
The all new 2017 TVS Wego gets a simple yet appealing design. TVS Wego gets a metallic body and is powered by bright Always-On-Headlamp . The front dashboard is fully digital and offers advanced functionalities when compared to old version of Wego. The Digital speedometer hosts functionalities like trip-meter, odometer, digital clock, low battery indicator, service indicator and comes with reader-friendly blue-lit display.
The Wego features alloy wheels, convenient E-Z centre stand and external fuel filler cap.
TVS Wego Colors
The all new TVS Wego gets 10 different color variants. 6 of them are monotone colors and 3 of them are dual-tone color variants. Only very recently TVS Wego was launched in attractive metallic orange and T-Grey color variant.
All the available TVS Wego color variants are listed below:
Deep-Sky Blue
Volcano Red
Midnight Black
Metallic T-Grey
Sporty White
Metallic Orange
Orange with black (Dual-tone)
Blue with black (Dual-tone)
Red with black (Dual-tone)
You may check all colors of TVS Wego with photos here.
TVS Wego Dimensions
The all new TVS Wego measures 1834mm in height, 640mm in width and 1115mm in height. The wheelbase of TVS Wego measures 1275mm. The TVS Wego’s seat height is relatively which is reachable even for short riders. The fuel tank capacity of TVS Wego measures 5 litres. The underseat storage is sufficient enough to keep a camera bag or helmet.
TVS Wego Engine and Transmission
The all new 2017 TVS Wego is powered by 4-stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled, spark ignition 109.7cc engine. TVS Wego’s 110cc engine is capable enough to churn out a maximum power of 5.88kW at 7500 rpm and can deliver a peak torque of 8.4Nm @ 5500rpm. The engine is mated to a CVT automatic gearbox. Both Selft-start and Kick-start options are available for TVS Wego.
TVS Wego Performance
Talking about the on road performance of TVS Wego, the scooter felt easy and good to ride in city conditions in a small range. When taken on long range (for more than 20 Kms) on highways, the Wego got bit tired (and even the rider) – the reason could be scooter’s light weight and we felt its not-so-stable when ridden more than 80Kmph. Scooters like Jupiter, Dio, Activa 125 and Access 125 performed well even at the higher speeds.
TVS Wego Mileage
The Mileage offered by TVS Wego scooter is not something which we can highlight. While it did provide good fuel-efficiency when ridden on “Eco” mode, but on “Power” mode the mileage was quite average. The “power” mode triggered whenever there was a higher rate of acceleration or at higher speeds and we got a mileage of around 35Kmpl to 40 Kmpl which is not that great for a 110cc automatic scooter.
TVS Wego Suspension, Handling and Braking
TVS Wego gets advanced telescopic suspension in the front and a unit swing, gas charged hydraulic damper suspension at the rear. We got a chance to test the TVS Wego in the rainy and wet conditions and scooter performed well offering a good stability on wet surface.
The handling and manoeuvring ability offered by TVS Wego is good. Making those quick turns and zig-zagging through bumper-to-bumper traffic were achieved at ease. Special mention to TVS Wego’s unique “Body Balance Technology” which claims to offer better balance during the ride, enhanced stability and ideal body weight distribution.
The features like Body Balance Technology will be particularly helpful for beginners who are trying to learn the scooter for the first time. They can take the advantages offered by this technology and quickly learn body balancing and the art of riding the scooter.
Both the front and rear wheels gets 130mm drum brakes. The scooter is also available with 220mm Disc brake in the front which is priced slightly more. The brakes were responsive – Thanks to TVS’s Synchronized brake system.
TVS Wego Pillion Comfort and Space
The ride on TVS Wego with a pillion rider was good – the seats were good and the grab rails offered good support for the person sitting at the back. TVS Wego offered good amount of space in the front as well as under the seat to store shopping bags and helmet.
TVS Wego Price
The ex-showroom Bangalore price of all new TVS Wego Drum Brake version is INR 49,990 and the price of Disc brake version of TVS Wego is INR 55,745 ( Ex-showroom Bangalore)
TVS Wego Verdict
We felt TVS Wego is a pretty looking, decent scooter for short distance travel. The body balance technology and synchronised braking system makes the Wego a great choise for beginners. The external Fuel filling ability, the all new digital only speedometer and the wide range of attractive colors offered makes TVS Wego a good scooter to buy.
