2022 Honda Accord Redesign
Exterior And Interior Design
Outside the house enlightening, usually, there is available certainly not a whole lot with a concern within the specifics of the feature of just how the seen donkeys of the very most current period of 2022 Honda Accord happen to be noticeably disguised. However, using this type of, we determined the easiest way to complete some inferences.
In at first worth similitude with all the current most current Civic region is more than individual-noticeable. The apparent distinction is dependent upon boxier presents itself, usually along with a far more skewed entry ways-conclusion. On information and facts making use of this formula as leading fireplace entry and broil lighting tend to be much more-like in comparison to that they had been a little although rationally these days.
If you check out the internal parts, the idea uncovers that may creative designers got used a gander with all the current Civic for dedication, together with the minimized auto’s, without a doubt, constructed concerns getting dealt much more than throughout the 2022 Accord.
This makes it rather far more thorough also instruments a tremendous evaluation within, broadening the familiar solace for the travelers. Inside can get overhauled in such a manner precisely where Honda may become an associate of Civics as well as 2022 Accords inside and make an individual crucial factor human brain appearing.
2022 Honda Accord Engine
Your duo connected with peppy turbocharged 4-pipe engines is another on the list of Honda Accord 2022 sound specifics. Can undoubtedly make utilize a 192-hp 1.5 L turbo 4, although folks require a lot more durability can pick a 252-hp 2. L numerous-banger. They will need to opt for your variety-topping EX-L in addition to Browsing trims, or maybe a somewhat more inexpensive Exercise clip to get involved with these. Generating surface finishes accomplish one of the best-intense market sectors. Typically, this Accord 2022 commonly even provides a crossbreed powertrain.
By the EPA, it creates a complete involving 212 Horsepower because of a 2. L naturally aspirated 4-tubing power generator and engine device revenue and combo up to 48 kilometers for that quart. The actual Honda Accord 2022 fails to supply a V6 decision any further instead of before. We ‘d even so want to check out it, however, nevertheless, chalk the item for you to modernization.
2022 Honda Accord Release Date And Price
Start time with the overhauled Accord regarding 2022 can be imprecise. Nevertheless, we depend upon may be found around the malfunction of 2019. The actual savings may start eventually throughout the tummy from your-2022.
The importance of usually the overhauled 2022 Honda Accord might be something diverse that may not be identified confidently. We anticipate which it orders in all likelihood talk about $30.000 or maybe somewhat additionally dependant with the perfectly well-toned and motor unit software. We know the Crossbreed will probably be more expensive, through $39.000 to help you $40.000.

2023 Nissan Maxima: The Next-Gen Nissan Maxima Review
2023 Nissan Maxima You may know the Nissan Maxima as a bland sedan brand, destined to become a fleet car for rental companies or taxi services. Over the years, the car did have a few decent versions, among them the SR, which was supposed to be a sportier variant of the mediocre front-wheel-drive mid-size sedan.
Tumblr media
To make matters worse, the Maxima dropped the manual option in 2008 and, since then, the powerful 3.5-liter V-6 has had to work with the crippled CVT unit. However, the Nissan Maxima 2023 has the potential to be an attractive proposition. This is the reason.
It was initially believed that the current eighth-generation Maxima would be discontinued sometime in the next two years. This belief was further strengthened by the decline in sales of large sedans, in response to increasing demand for crossovers and SUVs. However, the data shows that not all car owners join the SUV/crossover.
For example, 42 percent of Ford Focus and Chevrolet Cruze owners do not upgrade to a high-riding vehicle. Instead, they choose another similar vehicle from another automaker, which is often a Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic.
Despite the crossover/SIV craze, sedans, whether they're compact, mid-size, or full-size, still make up a sizeable percentage of the automotive market. In addition, the sedan has become more versatile than ever. So, how is the Nissan Maxima related?
Maxima hasn't been offered in Europe, for almost two decades, but this may change. Given that compact sedans have become bigger than ever, certain models have become obsolete.
For example, Toyota discontinued the Avensis, positioned above the Corolla, in favor of a smaller Corolla (not much smaller nowadays). This in turn leaves room for larger models, which is why the Toyota Camry returned to the European market in 2018, after a long absence.
This means that the 2023 Nissan Maxima could once again become a global model. Plus, the Maxima has already gone through a mid-cycle refresh, in 2019, so you can bet it'll be around for a longer time. Hopefully not as long as the GT-R and 370Z.
According to the Motor1 article, 2022 could also spawn a fully electric version of the Nissan Maxima. However, that probably won't happen until 2025, when the model is rumored to be undergoing a complete redesign.
The current generation Nissan Maxima looks a bit sportier and more distinctive than the previous generation, some of which have a very conservative styling. If the Maxima 2023 is indeed influenced by the Nissan V-Motion concept, this means a more futuristic and sporty interpretation of the current design.
The Maxima could also be a four-door coupe or liftback (hatchback) in some corners, similar to the Kia Stinger or Fastback Peugeot 508. However, this will most likely happen after 2025.
One thing is for sure, the Maxima has become a pretty fast car, even with a CVT. The 0 to 60 mph time of the current generation is 5.7 seconds and on a good day, the Maxima proves it can run with the Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R.
For the engine, the Maxima is expected to still use the 3.5-liter VQ35DE V-6 engine, which has the potential to produce a little power. A prize, the engine produces 300 horsepower and 261 pound-feet (354 Nm).
Maxima's biggest weak point is the gearbox, which is a CVT. While it's great for fuel economy, it doesn't quite match the pretensions of a sportier car.
This is the bad news. While Nissan currently has options when it comes to automatic transmission options, the 2023 model could still feature a CVT gearbox. Nissan did come with a heavy-duty toroidal CVT that has a greater torque capacity, but it might only be featured on pick-up trucks and SUVs. We still think the Maxima should have a manual option or at least a proper automatic like the Mercedes-derived nine-speed automatic.
Now, more than ever, it makes sense for the Nissan Maxima to, once again, become a global model. With Nissan's current pricing strategy, the Japanese sporty sedan has the potential to generate great value for money, not only in the North American market but globally as well.
However, the CVT had to go if the Maxima wanted to reenact its sporty character. While the Nissan Maxima 2023 is partly a mystery, we'll likely get more of the same, until a complete redesign comes out, in 2025.

What we know so far about the 2022 Honda HR-V
Honda is busy putting the finishing touches on a brand new, completely redesigned HR-V Mini SUV, as it will break international coverage sometime next year, and Australian sales will follow after 2022 or early, just in time for the much-anticipated Toyota Corolla cross.
As these were filmed in Tokyo by user. The spy images posted on twitter reveal that the design of the next generation of Honda HR-V isn't much different at first glance. However, a deeper change is taking place, as Honda aims to expand the appeal of its small SUVs, both enthusiasts and environmentally conscious drivers.
First of all, let's talk about the modeling. It's obviously evolutionary, but it's been magnified and angled a little bit more than before, probably to free up more space. Some reports point out that this is also to make room for small BR-V city SUVs only available in India, Asia and Africa.
Tumblr media
However, the elegant silhouette of the current HR-V still remains with the newcomers, and the relatively steep sloping front and rear windscreens once again provide a smoother profile than the square competitors. The silhouette of the upturned side window and the hidden rear door handle are also clearly visible, further highlighting the appearance of the Coupe SUV that Honda designers are trying to convey. This bluff nose cone is reminiscent of the latest Accord.
In the near future, Honda's sleeker design of the front lights and the slenderer rear lights are also expected to reduce the slenderer area of some of the slenderer rear lights.
Under the 2022 HR-V hood, next time Australia may have some new engine options, including an oil electric hybrid option to replace the Toyota C-HR Hybrid, and the possible turbocharging alternatives at a higher level, and this is according to the popular Kia Seltos and Hyundai Kona.
While all locally available HR vs have a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, 1.5-litre turbocharged and 1.5-litre hybrids, some of which have all wheel drive on demand rather than the conventional front wheel drive layout. And that have been available elsewhere for some time.
Honda recently said that from now on, all major vehicle changes will adopt hybrid vehicles, so it remains to be seen whether it will also introduce the rumored 1.0-liter three cylinder and 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbogasoline engines as an established plan for 2022 Honda HR-V.
Tumblr media
However, don't underestimate the 1.8 rate of return, as Jazz City will be shut down due to high pricing next year, which means that HR-V is likely to take on the heavy responsibilities of Honda's entry-level products - at least until BR-V makes a decision, it is another matter.
In addition, the fourth-generation version of Jazz was released in Japan earlier this year, which expected to donate its scalable architectural concept --"earth dream". In fact, as early as 2016, this concept first appeared in the current Civic minicars, and was adopted by CR-V medium SUVs and Accord cars. Finally, let's talk about Honda HR-V Malaysia, which is available with a hybrid and sportier RS variant, and has a class-leading interior practicality. Now its price ranges from RM 104,000 - 128,800.

2020 Genesis G70 2.0T Manual Test Drive: A Dissatisfying End to a Species
Tumblr media
It always feels a bit odd to drive a dead car walking—a new car that's still available on dealer lots, but just recently received its official execution date from the automaker. It's different from dealing with a special edition; the very core of a limited run is its ephemerality. But the end of a bloodline whether sudden or scheduled feels melancholic, even if the car isn't that great.
As you probably guessed, the last time this happened to me was during a stint test driving the 2020 Genesis G70 2.0T with the six-speed manual transmission. While spraying the bright blue four-door down at a car wash ahead of a photo shoot, I received a text from a coworker informing me of the three-pedal G70's demise after the 2021 model year, bringing the curtain down on the enthusiast-focused version of the compact executive four-door after just three model years.
2020 Genesis G70 2.0T: Show Me The Money Even to one of the few who did snag a six-speed G70 before the axe came down, this news should hardly come as a shock. Genesis sold fewer than 12,000 G70s in 2019, and has sold only 5,275 units as of July 2020, illustrating just how small a slice of the segment the G70 managed to carve, especially when compared to the 47,827 3 Series models BMW sold in 2019—and those numbers are for all G70s (and 3 Series variants), not just those bought with a manual transmission.
But BMW isn't selling manuals in this segment, either—the German automaker nixed the manual 3 Series from its lineup with the introduction of the G20-generation for 2019. If BMW can't justify a manual 3 Series due to disappointing sales, what do you reckon the take rate is for the G70 with the 6MT?
In all likelihood, the figures are abysmal. Now, if you want to pick up a new premium sedan with three-pedals, your options are
well, shoot. There aren't any more options. Turns out, the G70 was the last to the party, and the last to leave. Don't think you can find shelter in the warm embrace of a well-equipped six-speed Honda Accord either; production of the shift-it-yourself Accord halted back in December of last year, and no one noticed until Honda publicly announced the death knell for the manual Accord, along with the demise of the Civic Coupe and cheeky Fit.
So, not only was I driving a zombie car, but it was the last gasp of an endangered species that used to be multitudes. At least it went out with a bang, right? Surely there's consolation in the fact I could declare the six-speed G70 criminally underrated and press most of the blame on the shoulders of a driving public more interested in their phones than the journey.
2020 Genesis G70 2.0T: Mixed Signals It is with a heavy heart I report the manual-equipped, rear-wheel drive sports sedan winks out with peaky power, a deceptively numb clutch, rev hang, and a dull shifter. Had I not received news of the stick-shift G70's demise, my advice to interested parties is that they don't bother; just pick up the 2.0T with the mostly inoffensive, though only average eight-speed automatic transmission, or make the financial jump to the potent 3.3-liter twin-turbo V-6 G70 3.3T, which is—of course—only available with an automatic transmission.
Before we dive into what makes the six-speed G70 disappointing, let's take a second to appreciate the G70's merits outside of the rubbery stick protruding from the center console, lest you think the car is simply a sum of its parts. As we've discovered with every other configuration of the G70, Genesis developed quite the sports sedan here, with excellent balance and overtly handsome aesthetics that would be a welcome sight coming from any brand. It's well designed, well equipped, comfortable  both to drive and to ride in, and if you spring for the 3.3-liter twin-turbo V-6, a potent contender for the pedestal spot occupied by the BMW 340i and Audi S4.
Overall, it's a tidy car that's a valid alternative to anything else in the ultra-competitive luxury compact executive sedan segment. We liked the G70 when it launched for 2018, and I'm sure we're going to have plenty to praise when the refresh arrives in 2022. But by then, the G70 will have shed the one significant feature that set it apart from the crowd, and will be left as a less funky, more driver-oriented complement to the Lexus IS and, perhaps, the upcoming Acura TLX.
2020 Genesis G70 2.0T: What To Expect For now, you've got one-and-a-half model years to pick up the 2.0T with three pedals, if you so desire. The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder is rated at a stout 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, conceivably compelling figures for something with both a manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. Even Genesis realizes this should be alluring for an enthusiast, so checking the box for the stick also forcibly checks the box for the G70's Sport trim, adding a limited slip differential, Brembo brakes, and summer tires to the mix.
This is all excellent news, right up until you take it out for your first on-ramp blast. I don't know how Genesis managed to make 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet feel like a nice, round 200 in each category, but based on my test drive, it feels significantly down on torque from a dig. Instrumented testing from our buds over at Motor Trend revealed the G70 2.0T with the six-speed manual transmission takes an astounding 7.2 seconds from 0-60 mph. I'm not usually one to call something that can do the deed in less than 8.5 seconds "slow," but essentially the premium leaders in the segment—BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz—typically handle that scramble in less than six seconds.
2020 Genesis G70 2.0T: Slower Than Expected There's significant turbo lag from the 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and when the impeller does get with the program, it's not revelatory or thrilling; even during full-throttle pulls, it never feels anything short of a steady, relatively slow climb. According to Genesis, peak power arrives at 6,200 rpm—no surprise there—but all 260 pound-feet are apparently on tap from 1,400 rpm through 4,000 rpm. Could have fooled me—there isn't much happening until the needle swings to the middle of the tach.
It's not as if it's much fun poking the engine through the range, either. The manual G70 has obnoxiously dull initial throttle tip-in, which, when combined with a vague clutch and apparent lack of low-down torque, leads to more-than-should-be-necessary clutch slip, herky-jerky starts, outright stalls, or a combination of all three.
Of course, operator error is always a potential part of the equation, but a quick seat-swap with a coworker confirmed at least the throttle tuning wasn't my imagination. Things get a little better in the Sport driving mode, but not so much that it fixes the dead zone entirely. Meanwhile, the shifter feels like something from a non-performance Elantra, which is not to say it's egregiously cheap or clumsy, but it doesn't really match the G70's premium/luxury intentions, especially with somewhat rubbery engagement and a plastic-topped knob.
Again, this hurts to write. I like the Genesis G70 a great deal, especially in 3.3T form. It's a fantastic little sports sedan for the money, and if I were in the market for a professional-appearing daily commuter, it would be near the top of the list. It's just such a shame the less-than-stellar stickshift G70 is the one to shut the door on the manual rear-wheel drive sport sedan species in the U.S.
2020 Genesis G70 2.0T Sport Manual Fast Facts The last rear-wheel drive premium sports sedan offered with a stick in the U.S. To be discontinued after 2021 model year Powerful and torquey on paper, but doesn't feel like it on the road A great car let down by a not-great manual transmission àčàž—àž‡àžšàžàž„àžàžàž™àč„àž„àž™àčŒ

RAY MASSEY: Jazz up your summer with Honda’s hit city car
These are challenging times, so what better way to relax than with some Jazz.
I did just that this week at the Berkshire launch of the fourth-generation Honda Jazz compact city car — powered by a nifty hybrid electric-petrol system.
This was the first UK coronavirus-compliant car launch under strict social distancing and safety measures coinciding with showrooms re-opening.
Birth of the cool: Honda’s new Jazz variant, the Crosstar mini SUV has integrated roof rails and 16 in silver and black alloy wheels
The Crosstar accelerates from rest to 62 mph in 9.9 seconds, has a top speed of 107 mph, but will still manage 58.9 mpg and CO2 emissions of 110g/km
Since launch nearly two decades ago in 2001, more than 406,000 Jazz models have been sold in the UK (including 17,000 last year) out of 7.5million globally.
A rival to the Toyota Yaris, Ford Fiesta and VW Polo, it adopts technology pioneered in the all-electric ‘Honda-e’ and is the first of six new ‘electrified’ Honda models due by 2022.
For the first time, there’s a Crosstar variant with a reduced size SUV-style that is more flexible, funky and practical than the standard version.
Visibility in the new Honda hatchback is much improved, thanks to a wider windscreen and much thinner pillars. Sound-deadening improvements mean it’s also 10 per cent quieter than before.
Visibility in the new Honda hatchback is much improved, thanks to a wider windscreen and much thinner pillars
This is my favourite. It rides higher than the standard Jazz, has integrated roof rails and 16 in silver and black alloy wheels.
Mine came in fetching ‘Surf Blue’. The 109 hp hybrid system combines a 1.5 litre petrol engine with two compact electric motors.
Jazz Crosstar EX
Price: ÂŁ22,635 (ÂŁ23,185 with metallic paint)
(Jazz hatchback range starts from ÂŁ18,995 for the base level SE)
Seats: 4/5
On sale: Now Length: 4,090mm Width: 1,725mm Height: 1,566mm
Ground clearance: 144.2mm
Type: Petrol-electric hybrid.
Propulsion: 1.5 litre petrol engine linked to 2 electric motors.
Power: 109horse-power (HP) 0-62mph: 9.9 seconds
Top speed: 107mph
CO2 emissions: 110g/km
Boot capacity (seats up): 298 litres
Boot capacity (seats down): 1,199 litres
It can run in hybrid drive, pure electric mode and engine drive and can move seamlessly through all. The smart, contemporary interior has pleasant, soft-touch materials and an uncluttered dashboard.
Comfortable front seats dispense with springs in favour of a slat system to reduce fatigue and relieve back pain. There’s also more legroom in the back.
Clever flexible rear ‘magic seats’ fold down to increase load- lugging space fourfold from 298 litres — more than enough for a modest shopping trip — up to an impressive 1,199 litres.
The brake pedal positon has been changed to optimise the foot-angle. To help taller drivers the steering wheel is 2-degrees more upright.
Occupants are protected by 10 airbags – including a new front-centre bag to reduce the impact of front passengers’ heads and bodies colliding. Whiplash-mitigating front headrests are fitted.
A smart-phone app allows owners to keep in touch with their car when away from it – including tracking its movement and location via GPS satellite and giving you an alert if it exceeds a set distance or ‘geo-fence’ while someone else – whether off-spring or a partner – is driving.
It will also alert you if the car’s secutity alarm is activated.
The standard hatchback accelerates from rest to 62 mph in 9.4 seconds up to a top speed of 108 mph, but offers pocketfriendly fuel economy of 62.8 mpg with CO2 emissions of 102g/km.
The standard hatchback accelerates from rest to 62 mph in 9.4 seconds up to a top speed of 108 mph, but offers pocketfriendly fuel economy of 62.8 mpg with CO2 emissions of 102g/km
The fractionally longer, wider, higher Crosstar accelerates from rest to 62 mph in 9.9 seconds, has a top speed of 107 mph, but will still manage 58.9 mpg and CO2 emissions of 110g/km.
Standard prices from £18,995, rise to £20,185 for the SR and £21,385 for the EX variants. The Crosstar, from £22,635, is available only in top EX trim.
BMW 4-series promises a great knees-up
Wondering if the sleek new BMW 4- Series Coupe is fast? Here’s a clue.
It has knee pads on the centre console to help drivers cope with its ‘sporty driving style’.
And with its large-framed kidney-shaped BMW grille exuding brash bling, you certainly won’t miss it out on the road.
Hold tight: The sleek new BMW 4- Series Coupe has knee pads on the centre console to help drivers cope with its ‘sporty driving style’
New mild hybrid technology features on the flagship motorsport-inspired allwheel M440i xDrive Coupe version costing £55,875.
It goes from rest to 62 mph in just 4.5 seconds, right up to 155 mph.
That’s thanks to a 3 litre 374 hp six- cylinder in-line petrol engine with 48v electric motor and eight-speed automatic transmission.
Yet it manages about 40 mpg with CO2 emissions of 155-163g/km. Prices from £39,870 for October deliveries.
Kia Picanto gets a high tech makeover
KIA’S spicy Picanto just got tastier with a series of new upgrades, telematics and safety features added.
To improve cornering and braking, it has a range of electronic stability controls. There should be lower emissions from its re- engineered 1 litre and 1.2 litre engines.
Expect prices from £10,000 with higher-spec models closer to £13,000. Design tweaks are evolutionary, not revolutionary with a more purposeful look and sharper lines.
Customers have a choice of ten vibrant paint finishes and a range of customised interiors including one in lime green.
It goes on sale in the UK and Europe this autumn with the Korean car firm’s seven-year, 100,000-mile warranty as standard.
Car sales crashed by 89 per cent in May to their lowest since 1952 with just 20,247 sold compared to 183,725 a year ago, according to latest figures.

2022 Honda Accord Image, Release Date, Rumors
New Post has been published on https://www.2020hondarumors.com/2022-honda-accord-image-release-date-rumors/
2022 Honda Accord Image, Release Date, Rumors
2022 Honda Accord Image, Release Date, Rumors – Because of the ever-increasing popularity of crossover, the particular section of the middle of the-sizing sedans is within a lessen within the last few years. Nonetheless, this renowned auto can maintain its product sales phone numbers secure.
The product was re-designed a few years in the past. However, the Japanese maker points forwards. Hence the update is on its technique. Based on the most recent records, a 2022 Honda Accord is going to obtain a middle-routine upgrade. Obviously, we depend on a bundle novelty, beginning with beauty and finishing with technologies and much more common gear. For that reason, it will not be described as a delight once we check this out edition slightly sooner than typical.
2022 Honda Accord Redesign
Exterior And Interior Design
Honda is actually a firm that usually does not have essential style changes during the creation pattern. We suppose how the 2022 Honda Accord will not possibly be an exclusion. Consequently, exterior changes must be little. By natural means, we believe that the majority of the changes are going to be produced at the front end conclusion. We ought to see a few changes towards the top fascia, a little modified fender, and other stuff.
2022 Honda Accord Exterior
Nonetheless, we never believe that the brand new design may go not even close to the existing design terminology. On the other side, we never anticipate design changes, nevertheless hopefully, how the organization will repair the points with all the trucks, which opens up reasonably filter, and which usually is one of the only significant problems with the existing design. Mechanically, most of us never anticipate seeing any well-known transform.
Regarding the interior structure, we do not count on changes. Basically, the existing cabin previously appears fantastic. The Accord characteristics outstanding interior high quality, packed with hello-finish components along with rather appealing dash panel design. Additionally, the level of legroom is incredible within both series, while the chairs are vast and helpful. On the whole, there is absolutely no cause to discover anything at all but new color techniques within the supply. Yet another element in which the 2022 Honda Accord appears fairly robust is standard gear.
2022 Honda Accord Interior
Nonetheless, we rely on a few improvements for the upcoming season. As an example, the arch-competitor, Toyota Camry offers ultimately included Apple CarPlay on the set of regular functions. The present Accord provides the two Apple CarPlay in addition to Google android Automobile as alternatives, so these ought to grow to be familiar using this upgrade.
2022 Honda Accord Engine
About the powertrain, we never anticipate seeing more significant changes. A 2022 Honda Accord can continue with two conventional turbocharged motor alternatives. The basic engine functions 1.5-liters within displacement and contains an optimum production of about 192 horsepower. In addition to the right amount of energy, this engine also comes with a rather outstanding fuel economy, which often moves about 30 miles per gallon inside the city plus 38 miles per gallon on the road. The non-obligatory 2.-liter turbo-a number of is useful for concerning 252 hp in addition to features a 10-rate automated transmission. It results in about 23 miles per gallon inside the city and also 34 miles per gallon on the road.
2022 Honda Accord Engine
The actual 2022 Honda Accord will even continue any hybrid version within the supply. This technique blends a familiarized 2.5-tube engine utilizing two electric motors, to get a full production of 212 hp. In addition to a respectable amount of potential, this powertrain is additionally described as an excellent fuel economy, which will move all-around 48 miles per gallon mixed.
2022 Honda Accord Release Date And Price
A middle of the-period renew usually implies slightly before start day than usual, and so the 2022 Honda Accord probably will strike the marketplace at some point inside the 3rd quarter of your the coming year. We nevermore add on yet and essential changes regarding price, so foundation versions ought to go about $24,000.

Honda Announces Changes to Vehicle Lineup
The Honda Accord Manual Transmission, Honda Fit and Civic 2 door are all discontinued.
Calgary, Alberta, July 27,2020 : Honda has recently announced immediate changes to the current vehicle lineup with affects taking place immediately for 3 of the companies’ popular models.
The Honda Fit will be discontinued, despite the release of a new model, but it won’t be available in Canada. Honda will increase production of the related HR-V subcompact crossover as a result, and anyone looking for an entry-level Honda once Fit supply runs out, you’ll have to look towards the Civic
The Honda Accord will no longer be available with 6 speed manual transmission. Previously available as a package on the sport trim level, the production of this feature is now discontinued due to lack of interest. An updated Accord is coming for the 2021 model year, with new styling and features. Honda will share more info in a few months.
The Honda Civic Coupe will no longer be in production with the 2020 year model being the last available. A new-generation Civic will arrive for 2022, debuting in the spring of next year.  Slow sales are the reason for dropping this body style: while the current, tenth-generation Civic coupe made up around 16 percent of sales when it debuted in 2016, it now represents just 6 percent of the mix, and it is now time to change things up to be able to provide the designs and styles currently in demand by consumers

The Next Mazda 6 Is Going Full BMW, With a Straight-Six Engine and RWD
In keeping with its premium aspirations, Mazda is about to completely revamp its Mazda 6 mid-size sedan. We’ve long known the automaker is working on a new inline-six engine for a longitudinal, rear-drive car layout, and a new report from Car and Driver suggests the next Mazda 6 will be the first to get it. For those unfamiliar with the current 6, here’s why that’s such a big deal:
Since its introduction to the U.S. as a 2003 model, the Mazda 6 has always been a transverse-engine, front-wheel-drive sedan, as is typical for its segment, which also includes longtime front-drivers such as the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Nissan Altima. (We should point out the first-generation Mazdaspeed 6 that was modified to accept an all-wheel-drive system as the lone exception to the front-drive 6 rule.) To move to a longitudinal, rear-drive-based layout for the 6—a setup more common in the entry-luxury space that includes BMW’s 3-series and Mercedes-Benz’s C-Class, Mazda will be starting entirely from scratch.
This new “Large Architecture,” first confirmed in a Mazda public financial report last year, would presumably also be shared with the CX-9 three-row crossover, which is currently built on the same platform as the 6. The Mazda 6 is the older of the two products, so it makes sense that it would be the first to get the new architecture. Currently, the only other rear-drive product in Mazda’s U.S. portfolio is the tiny MX-5 Miata sports car.
According to that oddly revealing financial document, the new platform will be built around the aforementioned inline-six, which will get Mazda’s Skyactiv-X novel compression ignition tech. There will also be a diesel version of that engine, and the platform will support 48-volt mild hybrid and full-on plug-in hybrid tech. Rear-wheel drive was implied only by the fact that the engine would sit longitudinally in the engine bay, but the only option confirmed for the new platform is i-Activ all-wheel drive. Have there been longitudinal engine, front-drive vehicles in the past? Yes, but they’re rare.
A patent filing unearthed this year revealed a few more details about the new straight-six. Mazda’s new six-cylinder will apparently be relatively compact (the engine type tends to be substantial in length) and will also have the ability to vary the size of its exhaust ports. A patent for a longitudinal eight-speed automatic transmission was also found, which would mark an upgrade over Mazda’s current six-speeds-maximum transmission lineup.
Timing for the next-gen Mazda 6 is murky, especially with the current global health crisis slowing everything down, but the new rear-drive-based sedan could arrive by 2022. What is perhaps more exciting is what this platform means for a potential rear-drive coupe. The Mazda RX-Vision and Vision Coupe concepts from a few years ago strongly implied a RWD layout, and their long hoods would be well suited for covering a straight-six, possibly with twin-turbo or performance hybrid assistance.
