This is connected to a bigger conversation, but has anyone put much thought into the question of domestic labor in Wyther Grange? I was thinking of this yesterday, because Aunt Nancy and Caroline aren't necessarily infirm and it's true they don't have a New Moon-sized property to maintain like Elizabeth, Laura, and Jimmy, but are they able to look after an old tumbledown mansion like the Grange? Do they keep servants? A hired boy for the grounds? Do they just rely on the help of people like Jim Priest who come over from time to time?
