This actually drove me profoundly nuts, because this was just a few years after NYC was attacked by actual aliens from outer space. This is a world in which the Norse god Thor was flying around in public, smacking things with his magic hammer. But sorry, a dragon was just too unbelievable?

im watching the defenders and seeing everyone be confused and very skeptical about what danny says is so funny because i would do the same thing if i heard it. the immortal iron fist?? a dragon?? the living weapon of k'un-lun?? come on dude i know this is new york but you need to be a bit more realistic. jessica asking him if he's on lithium is also so iconic

rp blog for colleen wing based on the netflix’s defenders saga. colleen is the current holder of the iron fist and a vigilante, as well as an employee at bayard community center.

ideally looking for scene partners & characters such as danny rand, claire temple, misty knight, jessica jones, luke cage, & matt murdock.

i write both advanced lit. and novella. i’m open to do pretty much anything, though i am a minor and will not write nsfw.

colleen is still fairly new to holding the fist and the scene of vigilantism. her biggest weakness is honestly controlling the fist to its fullest extent— she doesn’t want to cause any damage.

she will always stop to pet stray cats, no matter the day.

identifies as pansexual. it was never really a big deal to her, just something she realized over time.

definitely enjoys hot yoga. she took it up shortly after going out more frequently as a vigilante and is absolutely in love with it. monday and thursday evenings are her favourite days of the week.

DEFENDERS' SAGA Series 4: LUKE CAGE Series 1 PowerMan was always problematic for Marvel after the 70s: like Iron Fist he was created reactively, not proactively & so suffered when the fad wained, so when he reappeared in Avengers & then Defenders etc. he made an impact, but didn't find an audience. i'm really chuffed he was included in ABC/Netfux's Defenders' saga, & created SOO chuffin well by CHEO HODARI COKER - many elements were still tame & tv-realistic, but it felt engaging & informative to experience such a fantastical character in such a grounded & believable context, created by POC who could teach their audience authentically. it was another genesis series, but with Luke's introduction in Jessica Jones it was more developed than it might merely have been. 9/10

Another dead boy who spent over 70 years in hell AND clawed his way out of it, is an insanely skilled magic user, doesn’t even notice when he’s burnt by iron, and got up and started walking around like he was in barely any pain after being trapped in a machine for half an hour that evaporates other ghosts in SECONDS: :3
