So, was asked to draw New Wave as they were during their Brockton Bay Brigade Days by Polar Potato and I thought it was a good time to make some of my own designs for them!

What the fuck does New Wave dress up as for Halloween? Carol 100% has opinions on what should be worn.
(Let's assume for our purposes that they would actually dress up)

The idea of Manpower having a secret identity, pre-New Wave, is very funny to me.
The dude is a 7 foot tall slab of muscle and blonde hair. He’s obviously Manpower!
Did his family just keep him locked up in the house all day and night ala Quasimodo until they unmasked themselves?

Why in the name of fuck was it even important to make Vicky Neil's kid anyway? Just because WB somehow decided that it had to be that way to explain Vicky's powers? (Ignoring Aiden and Taylor not being his biological mom) Because he wanted to make Vicky super spechul some more? Give her Crystal as a half-sister than cousin? Make Carol worse? Alienate Vicky from her family more?
It's just batshit.

Do you think that Neil ever looked at Victoria, and wondered?
Do you think he scanned her face, watched as she got growth spurts, thought of how her powers resembled his more than any others (regardless of how powers actually come about), compared her to Crystal and Eric?
Did he ask Carol if she was sure of who Vicky’s father was?
Did he die regretting never finding out for certain?

i think wildbows main thing with heights is he's really bad at imagining characters as not being all approximately the same height. there are other things obviously but that's the only main conclusion i can draw from how taylor is written as being unusually tall for a girl while the average height in worm for all women appears to be 5'10 & from how sy is written as being unusually short for anyone while still never being described as more than an inch or two of height shorter than the other lambs (or even the same height as them in the case of lillian). now of course this theory still can't sufficiently address what the hell is going on with coil, neil pelham, and brian, but height in wildbow novels is far too much of a mystery to decrypt so easily

Manpower!
Again, I have few thoughts on Neil. He's not much of a character. Though I am aware of certain developments in Ward that do make him slightly more interesting.

all of the worm characters can lose round 1 @bestfictionalnewenglander is still going to be the most iconic poll any wildbow character has wriggled their way into. there are people who saw that and are going to believe in canonical victoria “cop” dallon for the rest of their lives. instant classic.

The Man Who Haunted Himself will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on May 7 via Kino Lorber Studio Classics. The 1970 British film is based on Anthony Armstrong's 1940 novel, The Strange Case of Mr Pelham.
Roger Moore stars in the psychological thriller, citing it as his favorite work, alongside Hildegarde Neil and Olga Georges-Picot. Basil Dearden (Dead of Night) directs.
Read on for special features.
Special features:
Audio commentary with audio Roger Moore and uncredited writer/producer Bryan Forbes, moderated by journalist Jonathan Sothcott
Masters of horror Joe Dante and Stuart Gordon on The Man Who Haunted Himself
Theatrical trailer
Conservative executive Harold Pelham (Roger Moore) is involved in a car accident and declared momentarily dead. When he’s eventually released from the hospital, Pelham discovers that his exact double has recently been seen in places that he’s never been, taken over his family, undermined his business and even begun an extramarital affair. Is Pelham being stalked by a doppelgänger with a taste for the wild life, or is he simply a man going insane? The Man Who Haunted Himself was Roger Moore’s last movie before taking over the role of James Bond on seven 007 classics, as well as the final film by legendary director Basil Dearden (The Mind Benders, Dead of Night, The League of Gentlemen).

Anette was fucking Neil Pelham when Danny was out doing Carol Dallon which means she and Victoria are actually half sisters
some kind of universal law requiring that all of victoria's sisters are freaks
