My last list of the year
2019 made me extra emotional.  I lost idols, had plenty of breakdowns, ended up in the hospital, and had family be put in the hospital it was a very crazy year. I cried, laughed, wanted to beat a few people up. Most importantly I saw many dramas this year.

[As You Walk On By, Will You] Call My Name
Pairing: INFINITE’s Sunggyu x OC [Eunhee] Genre: slice of life, slight angst, slight fluff Word Count: 11,151 Summary: Eunhee has no recollection of the man she once loved and has been living life to the fullest without this knowledge. Sunggyu believes he doesn't have the right to reach out to the woman he once loved due to inadvertently causing Eunhee her forgotten memories of him.
Warning: amnesia, nasty words in flashback, life? not really sure. oh BOLDED is song lyrics, ITALIZED flashbacks, BLOCK QUOTE letter format of sort. ____ just to omit his name for story purposes.
first story for the new year! it’s been in the works since late last year, but because of some things that happened, i couldn’t find the motivation to continue it. anyways, this was actually for a contest that had a poster i was supposed to base the writing on and i didn’t finish in time. luckily though i can share the fic i wrote, but i’ll wait on the poster if i can or not. other than that, i based the amnesia bit upon looking it up and some of it from Weekend Friends and maybe a little from a Thai drama called Nee Ruk Nai Krong Fai. but yeah, happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~
Eunhee was casually placing the mochi donuts out on to one of the display windows when the next song playing through the speakers throughout the cafe caught her attention. She paused in mid-motion with the tongs still holding one of the mochi donuts to listen to the song as the male's voice put her in to some sort of trance. Somehow it took her back to nostalgic moments she didn't realize she had within her memory of an unknown man.
~I'll give you the nervous feelings I've hidden~
"Yah! Stop calling me hamster, Eunhee. Do I look like one to you? Don't answer that. It was just a rhetorical question. I seriously do not look like Hamtaro. How can you even say I resemble a hamster?"
~Your beauty moved my coldness~
"See, this is why Eunhee and I are close in the first place. She at least knows I'm allergic to metal and have sensitive skin unlike you unruly brats I've known since primary school!'
~I'll open up my tightly shut feelings to you~
"At least I don't snore like you, Eunhee, and in class. Ah! Ah! Ah! Eunhee, stop. I was just joking. I'm, sorry, Eunhee, it was just a joke. Ahhhhh!"
~Your love gave your strong personality a purpose~
"You know you can always ask me for help, Eunhee, if you don't understand something. I am a genius, y'know."
~I didn't at first, but now I can feel your presence~
"I learned Chinese for five years, Eunhee. Don't think that I don't know that you're badmouthing me over there with the foreign exchange students."
~As time passes, I'm changing more and more~
"If your hand and my hand are placed just right like this, then they're a perfect fit just like how you and I are."
So lost in her thoughts with the melody of the song drawing her further into her mind, Eunhee didn't realize she had spaced out. It wasn't until she was startled back to reality when the tray that held the mochi donuts slipped from out of her grip and clattered against the tiled floor. She winced while massaging her forehead with her now free hand. Eunhee tried to understand what this may mean, but she didn't have time to ponder when one of her co-workers, Soojung, called out to her.
"Hey, Eunhee, are you okay?"
Soojung rushed over to Eunhee and helped her up. Eunhee slighly shook the thoughts away while glancing at the now inedible mochi donuts as Soojung helped her up. Eunhee let out a sigh with a slight pout while crouching back down to pick up the damaged goods.
"Hey, hey," Soojung pulled Eunhee back up and turned Eunhee to face her, "Those can wait and you can't. Are you okay? How are you feeling?"
"I, I think so. I just..." Eunhee trailed off not sure how to word what she had just experienced right now.
Soojung regarded her friend for a bit before leading her to one of the tables and settling Eunhee there.
"You can take your break now. I'll clean up for you and have Jiae make some more in the mean time while Jisoo will put out the rest of the goods in your place."
"Thanks, Soojung. I'm sorry ab-"
"Don't be sorry, Eunhee. Just rest and I'll have Jiyeon bring you something to eat and drink, too."
"You're the best."
Eunhee smiled at her friend who patted her head before leaving to clean up the mess. Eunhee gazed out the large window and watched the people walk on by. She was left alone with her thoughts and couldn't help it, but to think who the male was in her memories. She couldn't recall his name nor any of the people she's met in real life either. He wasn't a regular at Lovelinus so she wondered if he was someone from her school days or a childhood friend. As Eunhee pondered on it some more the more the unknown man's face disappeared from her mind altogether. Before she could try to recall him again, Eunhee was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a woman's voice say her name in a questioning tone.
"Eunhee? Is it really you, Lee Eunhee?"
Eunhee's attention went to the woman, but upon gazing at the unfamiliar woman there was no recollection of who she may be to Eunhee.
"Yes?" She answered with confusion, but a polite smile on her face. "How may I help you?"
"You're alive." The woman whispered inaudibly with widened eyes, but Eunhee still heard her yet was confused by the statement.
"Excuse me?"
"I can't believe you're still alive."
"Wait a minute. What are you talking about? Do I know you?"
"I, I-"
The woman didn't finish her sentence as she quickly turned on her heels and left the store in a hurry, but not before taking another curious glance back at Eunhee. Eunhee's brows furrowed wondering what that was all about before hearing something being set on the table before her.
"Oh, hi Jiyeon." She greeted her fellow co-worker.
"Hi." Jiyeon greeted back with a soft smile. "I got your favorite Goldenness Cupcake and a glass of the Rocket Pink Punch."
Eunhee smiled as she took a sip of the juice as Jiyeon regarded her friend a bit.
"How are you feeling?" Jiyeon asked with a worried expression. "Do you wanna take the rest of the day off?"
"No. I'm fine. It's probably because I didn't eat anything when I woke up this morning."
"Okay, but let us know if you'll like to go home."
"Will do."
Just as Jiyeon was about to leave, Eunhee called her back.
"Oh, wait. Jiyeon."
"Hmm?"
"Do you perhaps recognized that woman who just came in a moment ago?"
"Woman?"
Jiyeon faced the door with a thoughtful look.
"I don't think so. Why?"
Eunhee dismissed the topic with a sheepish laugh.
"Oh, nothing. Never mind. Thank you."
"You're welcome."
Jiyeon smiled at her friend before turning away. Eunhee's attention went back to watching the people outside the store's window as she ate a delicious spoonful of the fruit parfait while recalling the small incident a while ago. Who was the woman? Why did she look like she just saw a ghost? Who was the man in those memories? Who's memories were those? Could they really be hers if she couldn't even recall them? So many thoughts fluttered across Eunhee's mind that another headache came upon her and she winced trying to withstand the pain. Maybe she should go home and take a rest for the day.
~~~~~~~
Two days have passed and Eunhee was back at work in good condition or so she claimed. She was softly humming once again to the music playing within the shop while putting more items onto the displays. Although she didn't think much about the woman from the other day she did have dreams about the same unknown man. Although she would try to recall the nameless man to think about him, but his face would soon go blank and she was left wondering if she just imagined the whole thing. Her attention was drawn away from the glass counters when the bell chimed indicating a customer had entered the store.
"Good afternoon and welcome to lovely Lovelinus." Eunhee greeted the guest sweetly as she briefly glanced up to gaze at the person before returning them back onto the dessert. "I'll be with you in one moment."
Just as she had picked up one of today's featured cupcake, Candy Jelly Love, with her tongs she accidentally dropped the item in mid-transfer onto the floor when the male customer had said something that distracted her.
"Jieun wasn't lying. You are alive."
"Excuse me?"
The male eyes widened before recovering his composure as he looked at the menu board.
"Oh yeah. Um, could I get a dozen of the 'Candy Jelly Love' cupcakes, please. Oh and a half of dozen of 'Twinkle' along with a half of dozen of the 'Shooting Star' as well. My kids just won their soccer match today and I wanted to treat them to something sweet before they go back home."
"Oh sure and congratulations on the win." Eunhee replied as she went about setting up his order.
While Eunhee was working on boxing the twenty-four cupcakes the male customer couldn't stop staring. She looked the same as she had four years ago, except she didn't recognized him nor Jieun. His brows furrowed wondering if she wouldn't recognized his friend either and if that was the case he wasn't sure if he should tell him.
"Alright, they're all set." Eunhee said as she placed the two boxes atop one another. "That'll be 72,000W, please."
The male handed over his card and Eunhee swiped it before handing it back to him with a smile.
"Thank you for buying at Lovelinus. Have a lovely and sweet day."
"Ah, thank you. You have a lovely and sweet day, too."
He stalled for a bit without taking his purchases and Eunhee tilted her head curiously. Before she could ask if he needed anything else the male quickly picked up the boxes and left with a small smile. Eunhee went back to doing what she was doing until she overheard the conversation of one of her co-workers, Mijoo, having a conversation with the male customer.
"Oh, Woohyun. Hi. How are you?" Mijoo greeted him warmly before noticing the pinkish-purple packages.
She pointed at them with a grin.
"So the kids did win today. Dad wouldn't stop talking about it as he called me about the whole thing to gloat or whatever."
"I know. Coach Lee is a tough instructor, but he has the best interest for the kids at heart." Woohyun stated with a smile.
"Very true. Anyways, Woohyun, I'll let you go. Say hi to Lucia for me."
"Will do, Mijoo. Bye."
"Buh-bye."
Once Woohyun walked out of Lovelinus, Mijoo turned her attention towards Eunhee to greet her fellow co-worker when she froze in mid-greeting upon seeing Eunhee slowly fall over with the 'Candy Jelly Love' goods falling around Eunhee's body.
"Eunhee!"
~~~~~~~
"Hey, Eunhee!"
A woman around Eunhee's age called out to her while coming out of the dressing room.
"What about this outfit?"
The woman spun around showing off the outfit for Eunhee's opinion.
"It looks great, Lucia! Woohyun would love it!"
Eunhee approved with a thumbs up before holding up two outfits for Lucia's opinion.
"Now how about me? Which one would suit the occasion because I have no idea which one to choose?"
Lucia studied the two outfits before pointing to Eunhee's left.
"That one. Go with that one. I'm for sure feeling that one. It has to be that one because _____ would love it!"
Eunhee thoughtfully glanced at the outfit to her left before nodding in agreement with a smile.
"I think so, too, Lucia! Thanks!"
"You're welcome because he won't be able to take his eyes off of you the whole night if you wear that to Saturday's event. Plus you guys can finally get past all of this lovey-dovey puppy love stage thing that you guys got going."
"Oh, please, stop. It's not even like that. We're just taking it slow since we've been friends for a while and now we're sort of a couple. We're trying to get use to that stage in our relationship."
"Uh, huh. Whatever. Wear that dress and y'all be skipping some stages in your relationship."
Eunhee just rolled her eyes at her friend's word, but a sheepish smile graced her lips.
Eunhee awoke from her sleep and closed her eyes once again due to the brightness of the white room. Blinking a few times to adjust to the brightness, Eunhee wondered what had happened and why was she here. The only thing she could recall was that she was at work putting out the 'Candy Jelly Love' cupcakes and now she was here. A sudden thought flashed across her mind and she remembered the dream or was it a flashback she just had right now. It had to do with the man that came in to Lovelinus named Woohyun who was connected to this Lucia.
She shook the thoughts away as a slight headache came upon her. She closed her eyes to ease the pain before it subsided and re-opened her eyes again. Eunhee turned her head to look about her surrounding and realized she was in a hospital room. She heard slight snoring and gazed to her right side where her eyes landed upon her brother who was fast asleep on the chair at her bedside. She called his name with confusion.
"Kyunsung?"
Eunhee tried to rise from the bed, but she felt too sore and let out a small hiss of pain. The sound caused Kyunsung to stir awake immediately. He drowsily looked about his surrounding before taking note of his sister's awakening.
"You're finally awake." He stated with a relieved look.
He quickly checked over his sister to make sure she was alright.
"How are you feeling? Hurt? Okay? Do you remember me?"
Eunhee laughed upon hearing the last question.
"Of course I remember you, Kyunsung. Why would you ask that question?"
Kyunsung grew embarrassed and rubbed the back of his neck laughing anxiously.
"Just making sure is all since you've been out of it for three days now."
"Three days?!" Eunhee gasped in shocked. "What happened to me?"
"Mijoo said you fainted at work. Are you stressed or something?" Kyunsung asked worried. "I heard you weren't feeling well since Wednesday. Do you need a break from working? Maybe go do some sight-seeing out of country or something along those lines? I have a lot of vacation days saved up."
Eunhee shook her head.
"No, I'm fine. It's no big deal. Really. I might just be overworking myself. That's all."
"Are you sure? I mean it's not a big deal if you stop working, Eunhee."
She shook her head again with a smile.
"I'm fine, Kyunsung. Really."
 Silence fell upon the siblings before Eunhee gazed at her brother curiously.
"Hey, do you happen to know someone name Lucia or Woohyun?"
Kyunsung was startled for a second, but recovered and denied knowing the two people in a casual tone.
"Lucia and Woohyun? Not that I recall. Why do you ask?"
Eunhee shook her head dismissing the topic.
"It's nothing. So can I go home?"
"Oh yeah, I need to get the doctor. Hang in tight and he'll let you know."
Kyunsung left to find her doctor while Eunhee glanced around her surrounding again.
"Was it just my imagination?" Eunhee asked herself before recalling the dream again.
She frowned as she clearly heard the name of 'Lucia' and 'Woohyun' yet she wasn't able to hear the name of the person that Lucia had mention.
"Who is he and why can I recall everyone's names, but his?"
~~~~~~~
It was another three days before Eunhee was allowed to return to work and be out of the house again.
"Sheesh. It's like I'm being treated like some kind of child who just started kindergarten, Yein." Eunhee complained to her co-worker as the duo were wiping down the counters, display cases, tables, and other things within the store. "Kyunsung barely lets me outta the house until the doctor gave the okay to let me get fresh air."
"He's just being an overprotective brother, Eunhee." Yein stated with a laugh while wiping down one side of the shop's windows. "You can't blame him for that."
"I know, but still," She pouted as she continued to complain, "I'm a grown woman."
"Are you sure? Last time I've checked you cried over having to make the Strawberry Candy macarons earlier." Yein teased as Eunhee pouted further.
"Because those are tricky to make! I'm not as good as Jiae, but it was supposed to be Myungeun's job to do them not me."
"Yes, yes, but Myungeun had other things to do."
"Why didn't you make them?"
"Because Soojung didn't assign me the task."
"Brat."
Yein just laughed in response. Eunhee was about to speak again when the bell chimed to indicate a customer had entered.
"Good morn-"
The duo stopped in mid-greeting when the bell chimed not even a second later and the customer had walked out.
"Sheesh, what was his deal?" Yein muttered as she had saw the customer while Eunhee's back was facing the door and so didn't see the person.
"What's wrong?" Eunhee asked while turning around.
"The guy that had just walked in right now. He looked like he saw something he didnt want to see and walked out or something like that." Yein explained.
"Oh, maybe he entered the wrong shop?" Eunhee casually explained. "We are in-between a cat cafe and a clothing store."
Yein disagree with a shake of her head.
"No, it didn't seem like that."
Eunhee shrugged indifferently not replying before catching a glimpse of the said man's back through the large windows of Lovelinus. She thought nothing of it and resumed working. On the other hand, the person who had entered the store a moment before and left as quickly as he had entered was none other than the man plaguing Eunhee's mind. His name was Kim Sunggyu and his sister, Jieun, and best friend, Woohyun, informed him about Eunhee's well-being and total aliveness. Although he showed up, he just couldn't go through with it. He was too scared to meet her again.
"I can't do it." Sunggyu muttered to himself with despair. "I can't just go in and ruin her life all over again. Not even when she can't remember, but I do."
Sunggyu sighed as he walked away and back to his own life.
~~~~~~~
Over the next two weeks Eunhee began experiencing more headaches although they were minor and didn't cause her to faint like last time. These flashbacks were triggered by things she wasn't aware of that would bring back the memories when they didn't bother before. One incident was when she visited a pet shop with her friends and upon spotting several hamsters it triggered to various memories of the same male being called 'hamster'. Another time was when Eunhee watched and heard a live band play at this pub one night it triggered to the same male with memories of his own band playing to the likes of Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit.
There was even a time when Eunhee was watching a superhero movie where one of the characters teleported and a memory came about a discussion of powers with the male popped up in her head. Eunhee wasn't sure why all of this was suddenly happening to her and when she asked Kyunsung about it he would tell her he had no idea about them. She assumed it was just her mind being overacted and that her nightly dreams were becoming daydreams. Because ever since that day, Eunhee has been constantly dreaming about the unknown and nameless man, but it wasn't enough to stir anything within her mind to recall who he was though. Until one day a little more occur for her to go on.
~~~~~~~
"Don't forget to meet me after your last class today at the main gate, okay?" The male informed Eunhee with a knowing look. "It's a surprise, so don't forget."
She nodded earnestly at him wondering what surprised he had for her before waving him a goodbye as he rushed off to his class after walking her to her own class.
"He's so silly." Eunhee chuckled to herself as she entered her class and sat by one of her good best friends, Ahyoung.
"So, _____ walked you to your class again this morning?" Ahyoung casually asked her friend despite the way her eyes shifted uncomfortably to which Eunhee didn't catch at all as she was busy getting her materials. "He's been doing that since high school, huh?"
"Yeah, I believe so. Anyways, he wants to meet after my last class. He wanted to show me something. He said it's some sort of surprise or something."
"Show you something? A surprise? Like what?"
Ahyoung asked eagerly although Eunhee was nonchalant about it.
"Not sure, honestly. _____ said it's a surprise. He was being all secretive about it. Even the boys tried to spill the beans, but he kept shushing them. It's kinda weird since he's not normally like that."
Eunhee giggled at the memory while Ahyoung joined in on the laughter with less enthusiasm, but she soon frowned afterwards.
"Anyways, Ahyoung, did you hap-"
Ahyoung tuned out what Eunhee was trying to ask her as she caught sight of something pretty on Eunhee's right wrist.
"Where did you get that?" She asked her friend as Eunhee stopped talking with a confused expression before following where Ahyoung was pointing to.
Eunhee looked down at her right wrist and spot the rhodium cuff bracelet that _____ had given to her the day before yesterday.
"Oh, this? Well, _____ gave it to me on our outing the other day. To celebrate our one hundred days or something like that."
"Your hundred days? Wait. Are the two of you are dating now?" Ahyoung questioned with a disbelief tone before muttering the last part. "Why would he date someone like you when he's known me just as long as you?"
Eunhee didn't catch the last bit and furrowed her brows.
"What was the last part?"
"Oh, um, congratulations. Just never thought the two of you would be dating."
"Oh, haha, me, too. I didn't know he liked me like that."
"Maybe because you tricked him." Ahyoung mumbled to herself bitterly."And you knew that I had sort of a thing for him."
"What was that?" Eunhee asked innocently with a tilt of her head.
Ahyoung shot her friend a feigned smile.
"I asked where the two of you are meeting again?"
"Oh. At the main gate."
"When's your last class again?"
"At around two-thirty."
"Do you know what kind of surprise it would be?"
Eunhee shook her head.
"No clue, but I'll let you know when I see it."
"Not if you never find out."
Ahyoung muttered to which again Eunhee was unable to hear and comprehend.
Eunhee suddenly jolted awake, but soon lied back down while looking up at the ceiling with a deep sigh and ran a lazy hand across her face.
"Who's Ahyoung? I don't know anyone with that name. Right?"
She questioned while lifting up her right arm to gaze at her empty wrist curiously.
"Was there a bracelet that used to be here?"
Eunhee brushed the thoughts away as she looked over at her night stand for the time. It was eleven-oh-nine in the morning and her day off. Eunhee guessed that she wouldn't be sleeping in further and got up to go about her day. Eunhee planned on doing some early Christmas shopping to get it done and over with.
~~~~~~~
"And that should be everyone.I think."
Eunhee smiled with a chuckle following a second later after having checked off her list for those that she was buying Christmas gifts for. She edited the memo app she was using as she muttered to herself while exiting a boutique and paused to stand on the sidewalk in front of another boutique.
"Just need to buy something for Kyunsung, Youngtaek, Juri, Seungmin, Bomin, and Yeonhee. I can do tha-"
Eunhee was interrupted when someone called her name questioningly.
"Eunhee?"
Eunhee looked up and turned to her right to stare at a woman around her age.
"Lee Eunhee?"
This was the third time that this has happened and Eunhee wondered why people were starting to recognize her, but she couldn't recognized them.
"Yes, but who are you?"
The other woman's face broke out into a wide smile upon guessing right.
"It's me!"
Eunhee still cast her a confused expression as the other woman laughed nervously.
"Ahyoung. Baek Ahyoung. Does the name ring a bell to you?"
Ahyoung walked closer and Eunhee was still clueless before the dream from this morning came back to her. She wasn't sure if she should mention it or play along or just continued with not knowing who she was.
"I'm sorry. I don't recall."
Ahyoung frowned, but then her facial expression became sad with realization.
"Oh, right. The accident caused you to lose your memories."
"My memories? You know about my accident? What do you mean it caused me to lose my memories?"
"You don't remember?" Ahyoung asked surprised before comprehending it. "That's why you don't remember me."
"I don't remember what? Who are you?" Eunhee questioned as the curiosity of it all was getting to her. "What do you know that I don't know?"
Ahyoung was about to reply, but then stopped. She wondered if she should even bring up the past, but dismissed the idea.
"I think it's better that you don't remember."
Eunhee hurried towards her with an eager look.
"Oh, please tell me. No one seems to know what I'm talking about and this guy just keeps appearing in my dreams and memories, but I don't know who he is."
Ahyoung was bewildered by Eunhee's reaction, but upon hearing the unknown male she wondered if it was who she thought it was.
"You seriously don't remember him, do you?" Ahyoung questioned as Eunhee shook her head.
"I, um, I," Ahyoung stumbled upon her words with a regretful face, "I'm so sorry, Eunhee."
Eunhee frowned.
"Why are you sorry?"
"I didn't mean to do it."
"Do what?"
"I was just envious and I wanted to be accepted by those popular girls and, and, I'm really sorry for what I did."
"I don't get it. I don't know what you mean. Why are you even apologizing." Eunhee inquired before staring at Ahyoung intently. "Are you the reason I was in a coma? Or know what happened to cause me to go into a coma?"
Ahyoung's expression turned to one of horror as the past flashed across her mind at Eunhee's words.
"Not directly, Eunhee. I may have been the reason that led up to it as I was part of the group that went to harass you that day when I told them that you were meeting him since you guys were dating." Ahyoung admitted with a sorrowful expression. "I wished I could turn back time and redo what I did, Eunhee. I really do."
"Because I was dating someone?"
"Jinjoo was the most jealous and envious when she found out about it. She was really obsessed about him. I just didn't think she would do what she did despite being the president of the fanclub. To this day, I really don't know if she wanted you to die or if she really did mean to harm you on the day of your accident."
Eunhee was gonna ask Ahyoung who Jinjoo was until an intense headache came upon her. Eunhee winced as she placed some fingertips against her temple. Ahyoung grew concerned and gazed at Eunhee worriedly. Eunhee was gonna tell Ahyoung that she was fine until everything around her went hazy.
"Eun-"
Ahyoung's concerned voice faded out as a flashback crossed Eunhee's mind of a group of girls surrounding her looking angry and upset. It was not a friendly feeling and Eunhee's chest tightened a few seconds later.
"If I was you, I would rather kill myself."
"You should just die."
"You think he would actually like someone like you?"
"You should just die."
"You're really not all that."
"You should just die."
"What can you offer him that I can't?"
"You should just die."
"What does he even see in you?"
"You should just die."
"You're not even a part of his fanclub.
"You should just die."
"I bet you're not even a real fan of his."
"You should just die."
"I bet she's just faking it all and wants the attention."
"You should just die."
"Wow. I can't believe you would stoop that low and use him like that."
"You should just die."
"He should be dating me instead of you."
"You should just die."
"I'm way prettier and have more money than you."
"You should just die."
"You're nothing to him."
"You should just die."
"You're nothing but a plaything to pass time."
"You should just die."
"You're basically nothing and worthless."
"You should just die."
"He has hundreds of prettier girls he can surround himself with compare to the likes of you."
"You should just die."
"You're an eyesore when you're around him."
"You should just die."
"You don't even belong with him and his crowd."
"You should just die."
"Why should he bother with someone as ugly as you?"
"You should just die."
"You don't deserve him."
"You should just die."
"He deserves someone way better than you."
"You should just die."
"He's only dating you because he feels sorry for you."
"You should just die."
"He's only dating you because his friends teased him so much."
"You should just die."
"He's only dating you because you tricked him."
"You should just die."
"Better yet, you should stop dating him. Like now."
"You should just die."
"Break up with him today."
"You should just die."
"Give me the bracelet he gave you."
"You should just die."
"I should be the one he's dating and meeting up with him."
"You should just die."
"Stay away from him from this forward."
"You should just die."
"Stay away for good or you'll be sorry."
"You should just die."
"For real. Stay away and never talk to him again or you'll be really sorry."
"You should just die."
"This is my last warning."
"You should just die."
"Break up with _____ right now and stay away from _____ forever."
"You should just die."
"I'm warning you, Lee Eunhee. Heed my words or you'll regret not listening to me."
"You should just die."
"You should just die."
"You should just die."
"You should just die."
"You should just die."
"You should just die."
"YOU SHOULD JUST DIE!"
"Ahhhh!" Eunhee yelled in pain while holding her hands against her head, but to also block out the words that seemed to scream too loudly.
"Are you okay?" Ahyoung asked as she tried to check on Eunhee's well-being.
"No!"
Eunhee wasn't responding to what Ahyoung had asked her, but more to when Ahyoung had placed a hand onto Eunhee's shoulder. The physical contact meant it was truly reality. That everything was all very real and not just a baseless dream. That all the flashbacks and headaches were related to her lost memories that Ahyoung had mentioned. Eunhee didn't want to think this female stranger was someone from her past. She didn't want to believe what she had just saw and heard was really a part of her memories. She didn't want this feeling to be real because of that unknown man. Eunhee just wanted it all to be a dream and nothing, but a dream.
"No. No. No." Eunhee repeated to herself as the memory of Ahyoung, Jinjoo, and the other girls surrounding her back then came back to her. "No. No. No."
Ahyoung slowly backed away worried as she wondered if she had triggered something within Eunhee's memories. Now Ahyoung regretted coming up to Eunhee. All she ever wanted to do was right what she did wrong. Now she believed that she may have done more harm than good.
"I'm so sorry, Eunhee. I'm so, so, sorry." Ahyoung apologized with the same continual regretful expression as her eyes glistened over. "I'm so terribly sorry."
The memory of that torment continued within Eunhee's mind. It started to overwhelm her as she suddenly became dizzy. off balance, and her breathing became shallow. Her eyes went out of focused as she slightly stumbled with her hands shooting out to keep herself steady. At the same time she tried to breathe in and out slowly to catch her breath and hope that she could just gain back her composure. Ahyoung grew even more concerned upon witnessing Eunhee's unstable position.
"Eunhee, I-"
Eunhee put out a hand for Ahyoung to not talk.
"Don't. Please."
Without further words or so much as a glance in Ahyoung's way, Eunhee swiftly turned the other way and started walking off although she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings. Fortunately, Ahyoung pulled her out of on-coming traffic reacting fast as to not let Eunhee get into another car accident that had caused Eunhee to lose her memories in the first place. The sound of the car's horn broke Eunhee from her daze as she realized the situation around her. A sudden memory overtook her brain of the car accident due to Jinjoo that day she didn't heed Jinjoo's warning. So overwhelmed, Eunhee's brain overloaded and a few seconds later she fainted.
~~~~~~~
Eunhee groaned and winced before opening her eyes and shutting them again due to the brightness of the room. She moved her right arm to shield the lights, but realized that there was something attached to it which made it difficult to maneuver. Eunhee sighed deeply. She turned her head and slowly fluttered her eyes opened to adjust to the bright lights. Eunhee realized that she was again back at the hospital. She tried to recall the previous events while being out of it and bit by bit it all came back. Eunhee fluttered her eyes closed while letting out another sigh. She wished it wouldn't return now.
The memories of her past didn't return fully, but the incident with her former best friend, Ahyoung, triggered the realness of it all remained with her. Slowly inhaling and exhaling deeply, Eunhee opened her eyes once again to look about the familiar white room. She couldn't exactly tell what time it was, but due to the natural sunlight hitting against the shade of the windows she knew that it was some time in the day time. Eunhee spotted Kyunsung's large frame sleeping against the chair and wall. She wondered how long she was asleep for this time around. She hoped it wasn't another three days or worst, a coma.
Gingerly, Eunhee lifted herself into an upright position and made herself as comfortable as possible sitting up now. She debated if she wanted to wake up her brother or to just let him continued to sleep. She decided on the latter and looked about the hospital room again with a little more focus this time. Eunhee noticed several vases of random flowers arrangements as well as some various plush dolls around the room. She would definitely have to send out thank you cards for these people's thoughtfulness and taking the time out of their day to think of her. Eunhee glanced up for the clock and saw that it read three-forty-six when she spotted it.
She cast her eyes slowly around her and the room in hopes of spotting her phone, but didn't see the device anywhere. She frowned before spotting an envelope with her name on it from Ahyoung. Her brows furrowed in confusion and curiosity at the item. She wondered what Ahyoung had to write to her and contemplated if she should read it or not. Closing her eyes while taking in deep breaths, Eunhee knew that she just had to know. Maybe this time around she would learn more stuff. Maybe Ahyoung would give her more information than anyone else had given her so far.
She tenderly reached out for the letter and felt something else within the item as well upon grasping it. Eunhee stared at it for a good minute before actually opening it. She saw that there was two pieces of paper inside along with a familiar looking bracelet. She pulled out all the items, but focused on the letter first as the cuff bracelet fell onto the sheets on her lap. With a steady breath and shaky hands, Eunhee unfolded the pieces of paper and braced herself. She closed her eyes and counted to five before opening them again and read the contents filled with a few blotches of Ahyoung's tear stains.
Dear Eunhee,
Hello, my once former dear best friend. I honestly don't know where to start, but saying I'm sorry to you again should be it. I don't know how many times I need to say it for you to forgive me, but I know that it doesn't change the past or my behavior back then. For that, I believe I'll have to repent on my own accord and maybe one day our paths will cross again. Anyways, I once again don't know how to start this letter or the words I wanna tell you. So I guess I should apologized first.
I'm sorry about how I acted back in our college years. I shouldn't have let my jealousy get the best of me, but more than that I shouldn't have let out friendship ended the way it did. Thinking back, I don't think I really had the same feelings as you did, so I'm not sure what made me think that I could be that way. So, I don't know if I should even say it, but something inside me keeps gnawing at me to tell you of our past. It's not that it's a bad thing, but I guess I wanted to remind you of our memories together.
You and I were really good friends to the point that we were considered best friends at one point. We met during our first year of high school and even gotten into the same university when we graduated. Which to be honest it was because of you tutoring me and helping me study as best as I could be. To be honest with you, Eunhee, you were the first person to ever talk to me on my first day there. You even showed me around campus and your favorite spots to hang out. You would then call them our spots as it would only just be the two of us.
You were seriously the most precious person that I have ever met in my life. Eunhee, you treated me so well and yet I threw it all away just because of some guy and a group of rabid fangirls. For some reason, I allowed them to brainwash me and turn my back on my best friend. They made me believed that you weren't good enough and that you would just hold me back. Now that I look back at our past, you weren't doing anything wrong or of the sort like they had said. You were always more than good enough and I was just naive to realized that.
Not once had you held me back, but encouraged me to be myself and were always there to cheer for me. Even when I blew you off and pretended to be nice to you, you still treated me like you did on the first day we met. You're still the beautiful you now as you were then. I really wished I knew that then, too. Anyhow, I'm writing you this letter to explain myself without you having to actually see me in person. I didn't want to cause another incident for you and I hope this letter does some good to you than bad.
I really wanted to see you the first time that you were in the hospital, but I was too ashamed of myself to see you the way that you were. I never made it passed the door to your room and even now, it was the same way. I'm just too ashamed with myself to properly see you and came up with this excuse to not do so, too. So please forgive me for being a coward still, Eunhee. Still, more than anything, my dear friend, I wanted to return to you what was taken from you on that day of your accident.
I just thought it was that one time we confronted you at the school's gate for your surprised meeting, but it wasn't. I learned that Jinjoo has been nasty to you since then and up until your car accident. I'm not sure if you knew that, but when I found out that Jinjoo had caused your car accident a week after and made you go into a coma for four years, I was absolutely furious. So furious at both myself and at her, but mainly at myself for leading your life to be the way it is now.
To be completely real and honest with you, Eunhee, if I hadn't said anything about your meeting, none of this would have ever happened. None of it.  You may not think to blame me, but I do blame myself. If I hadn't mentioned that precious bracelet of yours, Jinjoo wouldn't have seen red. She wouldn't have did what she did. We should have seen that coming, but we were so young and naive. If we had done something, you and I would have still been friends and you would have spent the rest of your life with him. Anyways, that's why I'm returning you your bracelet.
I hope it'll help you remember the lost memories that were taken from you. And that from there on you can decide what you would like to do with those forgotten memories that may or may not be what you may have thought them to be. Still though, in my heart, I hope and wish that in another life and another time, that you and I could be best friends again. If our paths cross before that happens, then I'll leave it up to you if you would like to rekindle it. Until then, may you recover fast, stay safe, and live a long and beautiful life. I wish you happiness and peaceful days.
Sincerely,
Your once former best friend,
Baek Ahyoung
After reading the letter, Eunhee wasn't aware of the tears that had fallen. They slowly slid down her cheeks and a few droplets fell onto the letter. She quickly wiped away the tears, but winced a bit due to being sore still. She folded back up the letter while thinking of Ahyoung's words and contemplated on what to do. Could she forgive her? Could she ever trust Ahyoung again? What of Jinjoo? What would she do if those memories did come back? Would she be happy or sad about them? Eunhee just shook her head not sure what would happen until it actually happened. She was gonna let it be until then.
Eunhee had nearly forgotten about the silver accessory piece as it was partially covered by the hospital blanket when she was reading the letter. She picked it up and examined it as closely as possible. Turning it around here and there, it was a simple rhodium cuff, but on both sides had engravings upon them which seemed to be scratched at, at multiple times. It took Eunhee a while to decipher the letters and numbers, but was finally able to make it out. On the outside, 'You made my heart flutter and made me find you' with the date '100609', was once written with a pretty font on it. On the inside had three things which, 'KSG' and 'A story that's enough for me' and more intials 'LEH', was once written with the same font on the inside as well.
"July, ninth, two-thousand and eight. That should've been around my second or last year of high school, right?" Eunhee asked herself as she recalled the past. "K-S-G? Is that his name? L-E-H should be me. Right? Lee Eunhee."
Nothing came to mind for both dates. Were they anniversary dates or something else? She wished she knew as she twirled the bracelet around her left hand before placing it around her left wrist. She rotated it back and forth to get used to the feeling of something being there. It was slightly a little weird, but she admired the item on her wrist with a steady gaze. A small smile graced her lips and before she knew it an image appeared within her mind. It was a bit fuzzy, but she could make out a male with a shy smile.
"Eunhee, will you finally be my girlfriend?"
"Yes S-"
Before the image could become clearer and the male's name to be exposed, a sharp sting formed near Eunhee's right temple and she blacked out again.
~~~~~~~
Eunhee was cleaning the house after having re-decorated and rearranging everything. She was feeling restless as she's been stuck at home for the past week thanks to Kyunsung when she was released from the hospital. She couldn't return to work yet under doctor's order until another week or so. Also her brother had provided her all the things she would need and didn't need to make any trips to the market. So Eunhee kept herself busy by cleaning as she felt stuffy within the house and didn't want to cause her brother any more worries than he did before.
Of course, Eunhee always thought back to the last thing she remembered before having blacked out that time. The image of the man was fuzzy, but it was better than a blank face. She just wished she heard his name before fainting. With Ahyoung's letter and the bracelet, Eunhee was closer to the truth than she ever was before. Of course when her brother asked about the letter and Ahyoung, she partially told him the truth that she was an old classmate of hers from high school. Eunhee had an inkling feeling that her brother may know more than he let on and she wondered why he was keeping it hidden from her. Until then, she wouldn't say anything and just went with the flow it all.
With all the windows opened and the house all cleaned up, Eunhee felt relaxed and calm. She had done the dishes and even rearranged the living room's furniture twice. She even rearrange her room and tidied up some stuff she didn't need. Eunhee even got hers and some of her brother's laundry done, too. Still, she wanted, well. more like needed something else to do and began walking around the house to see what else she could do. She soon came across the door of the spare room. She remembered that Kyunsung had said it was just all storage and junk inside the room.
It was filled with things of his he had no where else to place, but in there. He told her it wasn't something she shouldn't bother with by going inside and rummaging through unnecessary things. That was a little over four years ago and she had never once gone inside since he told her not to. She frowned wondering why. Now that she recalled, Eunhee had never seen her brother stepped inside the room unless she wasn't home or asleep. Still though, Kyunsung was a busy man and the spare room must be super unkempt. She went against his order this time around.
"I'm going in." Eunhee told herself as she grasped the doorknob and slowly turned it.
She was actually surprised to find it unlock and wasn't sure why she felt that way. Anyways, Kyunsung was always so particular about her entering this place and wondered why he would forget to lock it. Unless he never did lock it in the first place. She wondered if he always kept it unlock because he he knew that she would never try to go inside. Eunhee pushed the door wide opened and peered inside as best as she could. She made a face as she swatted the air as it smelled musty. She tried to find the light switch along the walls due to how dark it was inside, but was successful after patting the wall a few times. After clicking the light on, Eunhee was surprised that the room resembled a study more than a storage room.
"Why hide all of this away?" Eunhee muttered to herself while walking around the room and glancing at everything with fascination.
She stopped by the dark mahogany desk and happened to chance upon a lightly dust-covered manuscript sort of thing. Curious, Eunhee softly brushed off the dust to scan the front cover. Her eyes just read the title and just as she was about to pass the rest of it she had caught sight of her brother's name on it near the bottom. Her brows furrowed as she tentatively ran a forefinger over his name. She wasn't sure why it shocked her, but her curiosity definitely got the better of her and wondered if her brother wanted to be a writer. Quickly, but carefully she turned the page over to read the contents of it.
"Kyunsung was a writer?" She asked to no one in particular as she flipped more of the pages. "Or wanted to be one?"
She read a few of the pages and nodded at the words that were written.
"I wonder why he stopped writing and I wonder why he never mentioned it. It seems like a nice story so far."
Eunhee grew excited at the thought of Kyunsung being a writer that she pulled out the chair to sit on it to read the rest of the manuscript. She wondered what kind of things he wrote when whatever was placed on the chair fell to the floor startling her. Eunhee pulled the chair further out and away from the desk to peer at the fallen items with a frown. She wondered why her brother would placed something onto the chair when it could have been put anywhere else in the room. It wasn't like it was crowded or anything. It simply wasn't in use. Eunhee kneel down to pick up the contents that had fallen out of the box that had fallen off the chair.
She absent-mindlessly put away the things until she caught the image of her younger self on one of the many photographs. She paused in mid-motion while staring at it and grew worried when the person beside her in the picture had his face crossed out. She then went through the rest of it noticing that all of the pictures containing the male had his faced scratched away. She could barely make him out, but something within her was telling her that he was familiar. He almost resembled the fuzzy man in her mind. Anyways, almost all the pictures of her and the male were holding one another tightly like they were super close. Eunhee knew it wasn't Kyunsung, but someone else that she may have forgotten. Could he be the unknown male from her lost memories?
Eunhee sifted through more of the box's contents until she came upon several letters addressed to her name. Feeling unsure, but more curious than anything else, Eunhee started reading each letter. Soon enough it began to fill a void within her heart and mind of something she felt she had been missing all along since a little over a month ago. Still every time she got to the end of the letters the person's name was crossed out and she didn't even know who it was that had written her these letters. Eunhee had a feeling that she may know who he was if he was who she may have believed him to be, but yet no name came to mind whatsoever.
Just then Eunhee's eyes caught sight of some familiar words. The same words that started everything a month ago and the same words etched onto both sides of her bracelet. As she read them aloud unconsciously another sudden flashback took her back to a memory where a male voice was singing the words she had just read. Just like before, it was a short memory, but this time around the male's face was a little less fuzzy than before. Eunhee was standing outside in the school's forum along with other students in high school uniforms, but she was in front of the crowd staring up at the band on stage.
There was a group of male classmates calling themselves, ComaBeat, and they were performing on the makeshift stage before her and the others of the school. The lead singer was singing some rock song and then then that song came to an end and he later introduced a slower song. It was Clazziquai Project's She Is, that was dedicated to Eunhee to which he gestured upon introducing the song. The singer's group mates were teasing him, but Eunhee herself could feel herself being slightly gushed at by her own set of friends causing her to become just as shy. Still she brushed them off and told them that it was just all for fun.
~I'll give you the nervous feelings I've hidden~
Eunhee watched the male with adoring eyes as he sang the lyrics towards her, but try to remain cool and collect like it was nothing.
~Your beauty moved my coldness~
The male started walking forward in her direction, but she continued to remain calm as possible. Still, she was really freaking out on the inside.
~I'll open up my tightly shut feelings to you~
When he stopped just a few feet in front of her, he reached out a hand for Eunhee to take.
~Your love gave your strong personality a purpose~
Shy at first, but without hesitation, Eunhee gently placed her hand in his. It was a perfect fit.
As soon as the memory had appeared in her mind it had disappeared just as quickly shortly afterwards. Eunhee tried to recall the memory of the familiar boy with the familiar voice, but it was futile. She slightly winced and let out a small hiss as she placed her fingertips against her forehead and temple to ease the pain that has been happening since she heard that same song a little over a month ago. The same pain that occurred when she would remember something. Breathing in and out slowly while counting to three each time, Eunhee was able to calm herself down as the headache subsided. It wasn't as bad as before, but it still was a pain every time it happened.
"Wait a minute."
Eunhee glanced around the room and then at the opened box.
"Kyunsung knew all along, but he's been hiding it from me. He knew."
The realization dawned on her as she felt her chest tightened and it was suddenly getting harder to breathe.
"I can't believe he knew this whole time. I had a feeling that he did and now it's true."
Tears began to form and she tried to keep them from falling by blinking several times, but they wouldn't go away. She tried to calm her breathing and thinking, but it constricted even more. This was way more painful than her encounter with Ahyoung. It was because her own brother knew and wouldn't tell her. Thinking her brother had known all along and wouldn't tell her when she asked about it made her upset. Eunhee had lived her life before knowing about her lost memories, but when it became more frequent she wondered what was so bad for her to forget them. After the encounter with Ahyoung and the bits and pieces coming together, Eunhee started to believe that she wanted to recover them as soon and as much as possible. She closed her eyes and let the tears escaped and slide down her cheeks. Her breathing returned and her chest loosen.
"Eunhee?"
The voice of Kyunsung alerted Eunhee. She lifted her head towards where her brother was standing between the door frame with a shocked expression on his face.
"What are you doi-"
Eunhee interrupted her brother while standing up and carrying the box within her hold.
"Why did you hide these from me, Kyunsung?" Eunhee inquired instead not wanting to answer her brother's question. "Why didn't you just tell me?"
She showed her brother the box of her mementos. Kyunsung's face fell upon realizing that his sister had found her box in his study with Sunggyu's name crossed out along with his face scratched away. Kyunsung felt as if his heart dropped to the bottom of the floor. He knew that he should've thrown that away the second his sister was released from the hospital and had no recollection of the person in that box that had caused her, her memory loss. Yet, a little part of him told him not to do it. So he didn't thinking and believing Eunhee would never recover her lost memories.
"Who is he, Kyunsung? Why wouldn't you tell me? Kyunsung? Please. Just tell me who he is."
Eunhee wanted to raise her voice. Wanted to scream the questions at him. Still, something within her restrained her from doing so. She continued in a firm tone even as silent tears flowed down her face.
"I need to know who he is, Kyunsung. I need to know why I can't remember who he is, but everyone else I can."
Eunhee's voice brought Kyunsung from out of his thoughts as he stared at his little sister. It was already too late and there was no point in lying anymore.
"I just don't want you to get hurt again, Eunhee." Kyunsung admitted. "He put you in a coma the first time and caused you to be hospitalized twice when you started to recover your lost memories."
Eunhee's face softened as she made her way towards her brother while placing the box on top of a drawer.
"Kyunsung, I know you mean well, but these are memories of mine that I need back. They're a part of me whether it's bad or good. I've already learned that much due to Ahyoung."
Eunhee placed a comforting hand on her brother's arm as he glanced at her sadly. She shot him a small smile to which he eventually returned.
"Eunhee..."
Eunhee interrupted her brother.
"I can't know myself fully or truly if a part of me is missing, Kyunsung. Please. I need to know who he is. I need to know if he was important to me that I would all of a sudden forget his name and face."
Kyunsung sighed before running a hand through his hair and giving in to his little sister.
"Okay, Eunhee. Okay."
He cast her a look before explaining while letting out a long breath.
"He was a classmate of yours from high school and then later became your boyfriend during your second year of college. The two of you liked one another for a long while, but it wasn't official until you both entered university."
Eunhee's breath hitched upon hearing the information.
"Did that caused you to not be a writer?"
"Oh, you saw that?"
Eunhee nodded as Kyunsung sighed.
"A little bit. Writing doesn't pay bills as fast as another job and writing got left behind."
Eunhee nodded before wanting to ask that one question, but it seemed to have gotten stuck in her throat.
"H-H-Ho-How di-"
Kyunsung didn't need to know what she wanted to ask and answered her unfinished question.
"You were pursued by one of his crazy fangirls and got hit by a car trying to escape." Kyunsung explained. "I told him that you died when really you were in a coma."
"But why tell him that I died when Ahyoung knew I was still alive?"
"I don't remember who this Ahyoung is, but barely a handful of your classmates came to visit you. Maybe that's why she knew. As for him, he was the last one to visit you. It took him a whole week to come see you and when he did I told him that you just passed away and put all the blame on him."
"But, Kyunsung-"
Kyunsung interrupted her.
"He was your boyfriend, Eunhee. He was supposed to protect and take care of you. It makes him at fault by default and I made sure that he knew that."
Eunhee cast her brother a melancholy expression as he continued to talk.
"Because of him the same person attacked you again when you were in the hospital a day before he visited you."
Eunhee's face widened in shock upon hearing this information.
"What? How?"
"She somehow sneaked in during the night while I was out getting food. Luckily I forgot my wallet and came back for it. When I entered the room that crazy girl was muttering that she had to be the one to finish the job because the car that hit you didn't do a good job. She muttered more things about how you didn't follow her warning to stay away from him and now she had to do what she had to do."
"Then what happened? Why didn't you tell anyone about that?"
"How could I? It was just me and I haven't slept in days. I didn't even get a good look at her face. The only thing I wanted to do, Eunhee, was get you out of that place and away from these crazy people. So I transferred you to another hospital and basically re-did your life when you're memory was gone when you finally awoke."
"But why would you blame him when it wasn't his fault. All you had to do was just tell him the truth and let him decide what to do afterwards."
"Because he is to blame, Eunhee. Regardless if he didn't do it, but it was because of him that that crazy girl acted the way she did."
"But K-" Eunhee stopped mid-sentence when she witnessed her brother break down in tears.
As Eunhee watched Kyunsung broke down in tears, her heart hurt even more. Suddenly random thoughts and images swirled around in Eunhee's head making no sense to her, but yet finding them all too familiar still. Her breathing hitched and she immediately clutched at her forehead as it started throbbing painfully. Eunhee let out a hiss of pain upon it growing stronger and stronger than ever before. Her other hand went to tendered to the other throbbing part of her head. She gasped and let out incoherent words as she began stumbling around the room and then later knocking against a bookshelf. Upon hearing the noise Kyunsung ceased his tears and furrowed his brows with concern upon seeing his sister behavior.
"Eun-"
Her name got caught in his throat as he caught his sister in his arms when she became overwhelmed by her once lost memories that surged her mind once again.
~~~~~~~
A few days passed and Eunhee was on her way to work while humming a familiar tune. After the long talk with Kyunsung the other day it really put her heart and mind at ease once she awoke from her little incident. Eunhee felt content with herself and her life when her lost memories returned, but his name still slipped from her memory. As for the headaches they no longer hurt like they did before and she didn't have to worry about them, for now at least. Although she had yet to meet the unknown familiar man that occupied her thoughts, feelings, and heart, she had a feeling that Lady Fate would let her meet him when the time was right.
Happily walking along the sidewalk to Lovelinus, Eunhee noticed a male around her age also walking, but in her direction. She wasn't really paying him any attention as she normally walked alongside strangers to and fro while heading to work or back on her way home. She was gonna pass him by like she usually would with any unknown person to her. It wasn't until she had actually walked passed the male that the sound of his voice singing a familiar line to the same tune that she was just humming along to, too, triggered something within her brain.
~Everything changes for you I didn't at first, but now I can feel your presence The world only changes with you in it Let it change~
Eunhee stopped walking, tilted her head, and furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Something was suddenly nagging at the back of her mind and for some reason she quickly turned around while immediately calling out a name that seemed all too familiar to her now at the passing stranger.
"Kim Sunggyu?"
Sunggyu's heart thumped against his chest rapidly as he fleetingly turned around to face Eunhee with a hopeful expression when he heard that all too familiar voice call out his name. He knew that he shouldn't have any kind of expectation, but somewhere deep within him he hoped that the girl he once loved would recognize him. Would eventfully forgive him for causing her all this pain and suffering. He just hoped that Eunhee would also recall the good memories they shared, too. Remembered everything just so he could hear his name fall from her lips once again.
Sunggyu didn't say anything causing Eunhee to slowly analyzed the male with a tilt of her head as more bits and pieces of memory of the male filled up her head. He almost lost all hoped until he noticed her facial expression changing. A slow smile graced Eunhee's lips as her feet unconsciously moved towards Sunggyu slowly. Sunggyu wasn't sure what to do. He didn't know if she was gonna hit him, hug him, or maybe both. He just watched as Eunhee moved towards him. It wasn't until he noticed her smile becoming wider and bigger that he held his arms out. Soon enough she leapt into those open arms and the two embraced one another tightly.
"Kim Sunggyu! Kim Sunggyu! I can finally remember your name. Kim Sunggyu! Kim Sunggyu!" Eunhee chanted over and over loving the sound of his name falling from her lips and ringing back everything she had forgotten. "Kim Sunggyu! Kim Sunggyu! My love, Kim Sunggyu."
Sunggyu couldn't help the smile upon his face growing wider and wider upon Eunhee repeating his name over and over. He nuzzled his face closer against hers. Oh how he missed hugging her. How much he missed being around her. How much he just missed having moments like these with Eunhee. How hard it must be for her to recall her memories of him and for her to be holding him like this. He thought he would never get to experience this ever again after the accident and learning that she was alive this whole time.
"Lee Eunhee." Sunggyu whispered almost breathlessly. "I've missed you, my love."
Eunhee pulled away first as her hand trailed down to find his. She held up their entwined hands with a loving smile.
"If your hand and my hand are placed just right like this," Eunhee began as Sunggyu finished it, "Then they're a perfect fit just like how you and I are."
~I'll open up my tightly shut feelings to you Your love gave your strong personality a purpose Your beauty moved my coldness~
