When i watched the gatekeeper part 2 from Power Rangers Mystic Force, where Udonna use her Spirit to help her son Nick, Madison, Chip, Vida and Xander to fight against Morticon, while She use her magic to touch her magic Wand, i stop thinking about Ahsoka that She use the Spirit to help Rey and the Ghosts of Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda, Mace Windu, Kanan, Luminara Unduli and Aayla Secura to kill Palpatine on Exegol

Been thinking about Necrolai/Nikki and the "came back wrong" trope, flipped on its head.

From the show's POV (and the protags'), she comes back "right" at the end of the show. She's fully human now and seemingly good: she hugs Leelee, doesn't fight the Rangers, and, as far as we can tell, ends up living as a human in Briarwood post-series. In a fairy tale, this is basically the best-case-scenario for any villain: you got redeemed *and* you get to live, congrats!

But that's gotta be a crazy change for her. Everyone's happy for her, but she's almost completely different now. She was on this path regardless of vampirism (as she brought back Itassis because Itassis was nice to her when none of the other Terrors were), but suddenly her whole world is pulled out from under her feet. One day, she was an immortal, ancient and all-powerful, holding dominion over legions of willing thralls, and the next, she's just... human. Soft, weak, powerless. She doesn't even know the first thing about living in the mortal realm.

Is she still the Vampire Queen? Does she still have her powers? Or is she fully human? How awkward must it be integrating into a society you don't understand, populated by people you actively tried to kill, and your body is wrong and you don't think or act like them, but they're all treating you like you're finally *right* and you should be happy. And you are, but also...

You're not good and you're not human and you have to force yourself to eat food?? And it's disgusting. And human bodies have all these needs, needs you can't even begin to articulate, ones that are weird and horrible, and on top of that, now you feel BAD when people aren't nice to you and you can't just kill them for fun?

Everyone's happy for her and doesn't understand why she feels so wrong.

So anyway Power Rangers Mystic Force is the only PR I will ever love - literally Samurai has nothing on Mystic Force. They have an episode that cameos SO MANY OTHER POWER RANGERS like they had the ultimate crossover episode you cannot tell me it wasn't incredible. AND THE VIDA EPISODE AND HER FRIENDSHIP WITH CHIP and Necrolai<333 not even lying I had the hugest crush on her daughter. Also the Nick-centered episodes were simultaneously the worst and best things ever because he just gets headaches and rides a horse idk but the horse was important. I wonder does it say anything about me that I barely remember the megazord fights like did that ever actually happen??

Anyway anyway I will sign off by saying I would roleplay this with anyone who knew what PRMF was gn

Interview With The Vampire (2006)

THE KORAGG ONE IS SO REAL

What's your opinion then on Mystic Force's villains: Master Octomus, Imperious, Necrolai, Koragg, Morticon, Sculpin, and the other Ten Terrors?

Octomus: At first I feared he’d be too much of an Orcus on his Throne to be impressive, but the finale SHATTERED that, and he made a PERFECT final boss. I’m not going to get into spoilers here, but his work in the finale cemented him as GREAT to me.

Imperious: Freaking fabulous and glam. Gone too soon. I wanted him to stick around into endgame. My kind of evil traffic light :-) I also wanted to see more of his “betray the Master” plot come to fruition and how that would have affected the group.

Necrolai: Pretty great. Not as standout as Imperious, but I liked watching her grow throughout the seasons, and HER actions in the finale impacted me in an altogether different way from Octomus.

Koragg: OH FEELS. THAT IS ALL. MY FEELS.

Morticon: Ehhhhhh. Not a big fan. Glad he was just the starter villain. There was nothing really WRONG with him; he just didn’t stand out to me.

Sculpin: Fulfilled his role well, and I like him better than Morticon, but still nothing to write home about.

The other Ten Terrors: kinda…all blended together with the exceptions of Motoombo and Itassis (for reasons that are obvious if you’ve seen the show to its end but are too spoilery for me to discuss here). Those two are freakin’ great and I love their arcs. The others just did really well at fulfilling the Monster of the Week role, but I can’t say I remember any names or designs in particular as standing out.

And I know you didn’t ask, but I fucking love Leelee

I love that all the seasons are on YouTube. Anyway.

1) this episode actually makes me ship Leelee and Vida, with a hilarious extra layer for Necrolai and Vida. It very much felt like Necrolai went “honey pick whichever ranger you want and we’ll turn them into a vampire so you can date them forever” so she tries to pick Nick, then Xander then Vida comes with because it’s a dj. And then Necrolai decides to steal her daughter’s new girlfriend for herself. Reverse Stacy’s mom situation. The mental image I keep getting makes me bust out laughing every time. No wonder LeeLee’s Like That. Her mom keeps stealing her partners! Pft. Anyway

2. Given it’s hinted DJ Fly is a vampire himself, it does maybe hint what i noticed with the vampires of power rangers was at least a little on purpose. Males when monster form have insect and bat motifs, with fly, moth, butterfly and mosquito motifs in their designs mixed with the bat shaped wings somewhere on their bodies. And the female vampires are very elegant vampires with some small nods to moths, speficially usually hawk moths.

3. It leads to the very good question who bit/put a spell on Vida initially. Necrolai or DJ Fly. Even if Fly did, it was probably under orders of Necrolai and doesn’t really matter in grand scheme of plot but it does make me wonder.
