I won't lie I think "I had a crush on you for superficial reasons when we first met but then that went away when I spent time with you and we became best friends built on a foundation of genuine respect and care and THEN I fell in love with you properly" is an underrated trope and so much can be done with it

:D Thank you Laurel!!! Okay, I’m taking a break from Physics homework to answer this before I forget it exists ha ha ha 

🕸 1. Who’s the oldest character of yours that you still use?

Hmmm, the oldest character I have that I still use (and that I can think of, off the top of my head) is my girl Ivory. She’s a character I made way back in … second grade? Fourth grade? Something like that. She came from (like most of my characters) a dream I had which was, in an extremely cool and nearly incomprehensible way, a dream entirely in 2-D, in the style of a completely rad Miyazaki-esque film. Not gonna lie it was one of the coolest dreams I’ve ever had. I will also confess, I am completely horrible to my characters, but not in the way you are probably expecting: almost every single character I have come up with has a name that is in some way, shape, or form a pun or joke. I have a character whose entire set of powers revolves around a science pun that doesn’t even come into play until after the entire main arc of her story (this is not Ivory, by the way). Ivory’s full name, by the way, is Ivory Keyes. *laughs hysterically and runs away* Maybe over break I’ll sketch something of her and drop it on here, if anyone would be interested in that! :)

🌻 15. Which character is your guilty pleasure?

Oh goodness. XD. This would have to be my Grim Reaper Sophie, for a LOT of reasons - not least of which that she started as a self-insert for a very self-indulgent and intricate Rise of the Guardians fic that I fleshed out back in high school and never had the guts to write out and publish XD That fic was actually one of the main reasons I got a FF account and a Tumblr, and I still haven’t built up the courage to put that fic into actually words and share it with another living human ha ha ha ha ha 

My other guilty pleasure character is my self-insert Nana from a GF fic Cross and I are working on and that I adore with every fiber of my being because it’s great. Someday, it will see the light of day. 

🔑 17. Which character is the easiest to draw/write?

That would probably be either Echthra Mania, my fury goddess OC who I draw a lot and Olive Hale, one of my oldest characters, who is from the same world as her brother Rowan Hale and their friend Cloud Maeze (again, sorry not sorry for these terrible names that I still find hilarious and am never changing) and who is probably the easiest character for me to write. I have a smattering of small OCs that I use to doodle on homework or on papers or when correcting things and such and who don’t really have stories so much as just lots of little comics - Sadie, my cheerleader, Nexia and Naxia, my fashion twins, and Gracelene (who does actually have a story now, she just started out as a doodle-only character). I actually recently added two new characters, Nana and Lucy, who I may share my doodles and comics of … at some point. I love them a lot XD

Summing up, Nana is a name I seem to use fairly often for characters (it’s my pen name and fairly meaningful to me) but I use it for a fairly wide range of characters, though I’ve been fairly terrible at explaining that in this ask ha ha ha. Maybe over break I’ll explain it a bit better! Thank you for the ask, my dear, and I hope your week is going well too! This was a great break :)

FFXIV Write Prompt 25: Wish

Question: How many Dotharl does it take to empty a wine barrel?

Answer: Just one.

Kholyn-suns was drunk to the point of introspection. As introspection was not something she had ever really done in the past and was not good at it this is the same as if to say she was drunk to the point of calligraphy. She would pursue the goal with single minded (and malted) fervor but would end with nothing but horribly stained clothing and a huge mess on her hands in the morning.

I miss my family. I wish they were here. Naxia. Mom. Angui…

The thought of her best friend brought a lump into her throat. Their parting had not been a happy thing. Ever since she confessed a desire to leave the tribe Angui had grown distant and cold until finally Kholyn confronted her. Angui’s frustration boiled over then and it ended with a sharp slap to Kholyn’s face and the following admonition: “You never see what’s right in front of you, you stupid bull!”

Kholyn didn’t understand it then. And she didn’t now. She had hurt her friend somehow but she wasn’t sure what she had done. Thinking back on their time together. Talking. Playing. Spending nights curled into the same bedroll. What didn’t she see? I’ll come back, Angui. And when you see what I’ve become you’ll see that it was all worth it.

Kholyn was an idiot and she was wrong about this but she would find out why for a long time. Her future was going to be full of stories of her failures. The triumphs would be few but in the long run, it would all work out.

The space princess listened. If that could be actually true, she and Naxia should be making plans to evacuate as soon as possible, and find a few shelters around the planet. Good thing she knew some of them. Xalanna informed one of the guards to pass the message to her sister.

"If what you're saying is true, we need to act now. My sister will make an announcement to inform the rest of our inhabitants. You and me should stick together. I need to know more about your situation so I'd be able to help and prevent the parasites to stop from spreading." Xalanna told Reg, motioning the prince to follow her towards the spaceship before telling the remaining guards to assist the evacuation, "Follow me to the ship. I know a few shelters around Chronos."

Evidence.   He  bites  his  lip.  Regulus  wondered  if  he  should  reveal  the  truth.   "  A  few  years  ago,  a  scientist  from  our  planet  wanted  peace  across  the  galaxy,  he  felt  sorry  for  another  race,  that  race  is  the  enemy  today.   She  showed  them  spaceflight,  and  what  weapons  were,  and  she  did  not  expect  it  to  go  wrong,  soon  these  slugs  attacked  a  ship  that  was  stationed  on  their  world,  took  over  their  minds  and  now..  are  spreading  across  the  galaxy.  All  because  my  people  wanted  peace."   Regulus  said. 

The  story  always  sent  shivers  down  people's  arm  whenever  he  explains  it  to  them.  Regulus  was  not  sure  if  he  should  expect  to  be  imprisoned,  or  something,  he  was  ready  for  it  though. This  was  a  story  he  would  have  been  told  as  a  young  foal  back  home  as  a  child.  He  would  hear  it  over  and  over.  He  hated  it.
