Once again enthralled with Zenshu. I never know what's going to happen in this show, but every week I'm so excited to watch and never disappointed by what I see. Truly such a pleasure of a show I can't recommend it enough.

I'm so scared of how it's gonna end based on the romance's rate of progression though, lmao. I'm sure I'll bring devastated by whatever natsuko and luke have in store. They're so fuckin cute.

About Natsuko and the delivery room scene from the Boy and the Heron.

I had a lot of sympathy for her, at first, stepping into an already preexisting family, filling her sister’s shoes, which can never truly be filled because she’s gone and made perfect by her memory, her husband’s son, who doesn’t engage with her, acts coldly and pulls away when she tries to reach out, she’s displaced

But this scene

Threw me

Something about deflecting and passing on her own pain onto the next generation

Something about rejecting so she can’t be rejected

About being weak, when the adult in a situation is supposed to be strong

About the movie’s overall themes of corruption and forgiveness

About how Mahito screamed over her to come with him

I don’t know

So it's an purgatory the natsuko and her idol anime director from her childhood are stuck on

U la la. I wanna watch the rest as soon as possible. Personally I think the creator of the world is just okdokie with being in this universe where she just rewatch her story unfold over and over again because writers like to tortured ocs.

But natsuko is a fangirl of this anime and is trying to rewrite canon, and she doing alright, so in the 8 episode she's probably gonna fight with her creator

In the end, will she face her possible love for Luke? I feel like she really connected with him because she low-key lived him, and also got a hyperfocus on the anime.

Maybe she will show him her true feelings and go back to the real world and open herself for some love experience? That's sounds kinda bad, I like to view her as asexual, but whatever, let's see
