Hi, can I request Natasha x sick reader? Both Natasha and the reader were asked to watch Morgan while Tony and Pepper are at a company gala. Reader woke up with what they thought was a small cold, but they really start to feel unwell while they are watching Morgan. Natasha insists that the reader take it easy. Morgan wants to play doctor after she sees the reader sneezing, and Natasha ends up lovingly caring for the reader while simultaneously babysitting.
Sleepy Sickness
Pairings: Natasha x R
Word count: 2.4K
Summary: Reader comes down with a cold before her and Nat are supposed to be looking after morgan.
TW: colds, headache, children (lol), exhaustion
A/n I hope i did this idea justice :)
Not today, you couldn’t be sick today. Pepper had called at around four yesterday afternoon, their usual babysitter fell through and in a last-ditch attempt to keep from having to bring Morgan to the charity gala they had called Clint. Of course, Clint, being the most experienced with kids was an excellent choice. However, Clint was also a little shit. A little shit who had been trying to warm nat up to the idea of having children one day. Her tough past made her a little uncomfortable around most kids, Clint’s brood excluded. She often worried she may say the wrong thing or hurt them, so she hadn’t had much interaction with Morgan.
There were always the birthday parties that she attended, and Morgan called her auntie natty but Nat’s worries of doing something wrong always won out. However, Clint being Nat’s kind-of best friend had taken it upon himself to volunteer the two of you to look after Morgan. Pepper had she not been in a rush may have noticed the small abnormality, but she had been trying to sort out a small crisis for the gala, one of the catering companies had come down with some sort of bug that had been coming around and had to cancel last minute after they couldn’t find replacements for their staff.
So here you were, lying in your and Natasha’s bed with an arm over your eyes as you tried to block out the light that streamed through the cracks in the blinds. The team was out on a mission, so pepper was bringing Morgan to the compound at eleven, so they had the day to get ready. Nat was already up from the looks of the sheets beside you and you figured she was most likely training per usual. The headache was new. Sure, last night you had felt a bit off but when Nat had asked you simply said you were tired. Heck you even though you were just tired. But as the first sneeze came, followed by a short, ragged cough that seemed to tear you throat apart you knew it wasn’t just a headache. You were sick. You were sick and your girlfriend and niece needed you today.
Sighing you pulled back the sheets before shuffling into the bathroom. You looked awful. Deep purple marks marred the space under your eyes and your skin lacked its usual tan pallor. Pale and sickly was todays aesthetic from the looks of the face that stared back at you in the bathroom mirror. You sighed again and splashed some water on your face to try and wake up a little more. When that didn’t work you decided to get a coffee.
Throwing on some makeup to take the dead look from your face you brushed your teeth, coughed and changed. Your head was raging with displeasure at the light of the hallways thanks to the big windows. You considered grabbing Nat’s sunglasses but when you couldn’t find them you gave up. After making your way to the kitchen and starting the coffee machine you slumped into a chair resting your warm head in your hands and closing your eyes.
Feeling hands on your shoulders you jumped eyes flying open.
“Woah there sweetheart.” Nat said turning her hands up in surrender. “Sorry love usually you can hear me coming.” She said frowning. She hovered her hands an inch from your shoulders and you nodded as she lowered them and began to massage your tense muscles.
“Jus’ a bit tired” you said slurring slightly from exhaustion.
‘Are you sure thats all your very tense darling.” She said.
“Ok maybe I’m not feelings so hot right now.” You said and turned away to muffle a painful sounding cough into the crook of your elbow. Nat rubbed your back as you stopped and pulled away to look at her, wincing as you spoke, your voice raw. “Sorry.” You said and Natasha frowned.
“Don’t apologise. Let me get you something to drink you don’t sound too good.” She said and lacking your usually snark response you simply nodded.
Nat filled a glass at the sink raising an eyebrow at the coffee sitting still under the coffee machine now steaming and ready to drink.
“Love please tell me you weren’t going to drink this you need rest not caffeine” she said.
“Need coffee, Morgan’s coming.” You mumbled and Nat tensed before relaxing and sighing. She walked back to your side and handed you the water which you drank with a grateful look.
“Honey I’m sure pepper can find someone-“
“No!” You interpreted before coughing again and nat nudged the glass towards you again as you took a small sip. “No.” you said your voice softer. “I miss the little thing and it's just a small cold.”
“Honey you can barely keep your eyes open, you need rest.”
“Please don’t make pepper find someone else she doesn’t need the stress.”
“And neither do you, my love.” Nat countered.
“Please.” You begged and nat visibly caved.
“Ok fine. But you don’t leave the couch, I don’t care how many times we end up watching frozen, you are resting today.” She said with a stern voice, and you smiled tiredly.
“Thank you, baby.” You said and pressed a kiss to the knuckles of her left hand.
“Anything for you my sweet girl.” She said and it was at that moment Jarvis announced pepper was here. You startled. What was the time, surely you hadn’t slept in that long. Nat noticed your panicked expression and was quick to reassure you.
“Love you needed the rest so i let you sleep. Don’t worry about getting dressed pepper and Morgan are family its ok.” She said.
Truthfully, she thought you looked quite precious sat in the kitchen with your Dino slippers and shark hoodie that brushed down to the back of your knees. You had small octopuses printed on the long pyjama pants which were blue and white which matched the baby blue hoodie. Your hair was in a messy bun and your makeup had not gone unnoticed by the trained spy.
“Sit tight I’ll be back in a sec.” Nat said pressing a kiss to your cheek. You nodded and turned away to sneeze. Nat shot you a sympathetic look and retreated towards the elevator to collect Morgan from the foyer.
Pepper stood tapping her heels in her worried manner as she stood with Morgan next to her, holding her little hand. Morgan was dressed in a small navy shirt with an Ironman helmet on it, sparkly pink sneakers and little black leggings. She had a red backpack over her shoulders and a glittery red skirt over the leggings. The five-year-old looked quiet cute despite having dressed herself that morning as pepper had no energy to argue.
As Nat stepped from the elevator pepper visibly relaxed. Nat walked over to them and said hello before quickly talking to pepper as Morgan tugged on her arm.
“Wheres Y/n?” Pepper asked looking past nat to find nobody there.
“Shes resting, she’s not feeling too goody. So, Morgan and I are going to have some fun today.” Nat said crouching down on her calves to address the little girl.
“Isn’t that right mo” nat said and Morgan smiled widely.
“I’ll be good for you and auntie Y/n.” Morgan said nodding and pepper smiled squeezing her hand before thanking nat and leaving.
Natasha took the young girls' hand had led her to the lift telling Jarvis to take them to the avengers' lounge which was attached to the kitchen where she left you.
Walking back in Nat saw you had called asleep headfirst on the table. She chuckled slightly and let go of Morgans hand to scoop you up. You nuzzled into her chest and stayed asleep exhaustion winning out in the end. Morgan who had watched the whole thing stood near the door was before tugging on the hem of Nat’s shirt.
“Auntie Natty.” She said whispering the way kids did when they tried to be quiet but weren’t. “Can we watch a movie while auntie Y/n sleeps?” She said and nat smiled widely.
“That’s a great idea mo. Why don’t you go pick a movie while and I’ll bring in auntie Y/n to lay on the couch with us before getting some lunch and snacks.”
“Ok!” Morgan said before taking off to complete her mission. Nat gently set you down on the couch and pilled a blanket over your sleeping form. Morgan scrolled through Netflix and nat adjusted you pillowed glancing at Morgan before quickly going to get lunch.
Nat was willing to admit she wasn’t a very good cook. You did most of the domestic stuff like cooking. Between the red room and the overall chaos of her life Nat never really got a chance to learn. You never held it against her. You loved the time you spent cooking and dancing with her in your arms in the kitchen. Listening to American Pie on the speaker.
Nat shook her head from the memory. The three of you needed lunch luckily there was something she could make.
Nat emerged from the kitchen after around fifteen minutes with three plates of peanut butter and jelly sandwiched. One for Morgan with the crusts cut off and one for you, knowing you wouldn’t be very hungry. She had one and a half on her plate having already eaten a half while making them. She also had some fruit snacks from the pantry from where tony stashed them for when Morgan came to the compound. Nat walked in and placed the food on the coffee table. Morgan, as predicted, had put on frozen and sat cross legged next to you on the couch. Nat watched as she picked up the sandwiched inspecting it before taking a bite.
Nat leaned over once Morgan settled again and she rubbed your shoulder lightly to wake you. You stirred and Nat helped you eat your food before you fell asleep again.
Around an hour later the movie ended and you were still sleeping, Nat went to queue up frozen two but the momentary lapse in the entertainment left Morgan feeling bored. She turned to look at you, swaddled in blankets. Suddenly you sneezed waking yourself up. Your tired eyes looked around.
“Natty?” You said sounding rough and groggy.
“Im here love.” Nat said, “go back to sleep.” She said and you closed your eyes and hummed quietly.
“Auntie natty?” Morgan asked whispering again.
“Yes mo?” Nat asked pressing play on the movie.
“Can we play doctors for auntie Y/n?” She asked and Nat hesitated. She didn’t want the little girl to get sick, pepper would probably never let her babysit again and as nervous as the girl made her the day had been quite enjoyable, it wasn’t often she allowed herself to relax like this. Nat settled on the next next thing.
“Ok, can you help me get her some medicine and make some tea with me?” Morgan nodded excited at the idea of helping. “Im sure it will help auntie Y/n get better soon.” Nat said and stood led Morgan to the kitchen slightly surprised as the girls slipped her small hand into Natasha’s. She didn’t pull away, instead giving it a soft squeeze and smiling at the little girl. Morgan had a pep in her step and a smile that lit a sparkle in her eyes. The girl was simply adorable.
Nat boiled the kettle as Morgan looked through the cupboards for camomile tea. Once locating it she held it out to nat in her small hands. Nat took it and blew her a kiss making the girl giggle. The noise made Natasha’s heart swell.
Once she had helped Morgan measure out the right dose of medicine and put the tea, tissues, pills, water and cough medicine on a tray, she walked behind the girl as she slowly walked into the lounge carefully balancing some of the items on the tray. Nat had taken the glass off incase she dropped it. Sipping the water so Morgan didn’t know why she took it not wanting to upset the girl with thinking she didn’t have faith in her. She simply wanted to avoid tears at all costs. That was your department. Setting the tray on the table Morgan came and gently woke you up. Stirred and Morgan watched as Natasha handed you the tissues which you used the blow your nose before discarding the tissue into the bin Morgan held out to you.
You took the pills and drank some tea, but when nat handed you the cough mixture you turned your nose up. Morgan frowned and beat Nat to it.
“Auntie Y/n you have to drink the medicine it makes the sickness go away. My daddy says its full of mini superhero’s which battle and get rid of all the bad guys making us sick.” She said and you smiled. Nat shot you a glare telling you with her look not to upset the child who had a very basic understanding of germs. You sighed and took it like a shot.
“Yay.” Morgan said and handed you back your tea. You took it gratefully and washed down the taste of the medicine. Morgan sat next to you a agin and waited for the Tv to be turned back on. Nat chuckled at your soft yet confused expression and sat herself, pulling you into her arms and turning on the movie.
The three of you curled up together as you were careful not to breathe on Morgan and make her sick. Curled up on the couch is exactly where pepper and Tony found you in the early morning when they came to pick up Morgan from the half sleepover due to the late running time of the gala.
Pepper snapped a quick picture of the three of you cuddling before tony scooped up Morgan to take home. Pepper wrote a short note letting you know they took her and let you sleep before she tucked the blanket over the two you again. You wiggled further into Natasha’s arms and pepper audibly cooed at the sight before switching off the tv and light before leaving you to rest. Hopefully the comfortable position wouldn’t leave you achier the next day.

Undercover
Summary: Natasha and you play a happy couple for an undercover mission.
Natasha Romanoff x F!R
-----
It’s mortifying.
As you lay in bed, looking at the ceiling, the moment replays in your head over and over and over again. How you wish you had an off switch for your brain.
This is supposed to be an undercover mission, and yet you can’t keep your true feelings hidden from Natasha.
Undercover as a married couple, no less.
Today, while you were sitting in the living room of your “newlywed home”, reading a book, Natasha approached you. Her hand rested on your shoulder.
“I’m going out for a run” she had said. You nodded absentmindedly, taking her hand and kissing the back of it.
“I’ll start dinner now”
And it wasn’t until you heard the door shut, that you snapped out of it.
You didn’t have to pretend inside the house. There was absolutely no reason for you to kiss any part of her like that, no one was watching.
Your cheeks flushed and your palms began to sweat. Feeling stupid and exposed, you tried to cook dinner, finding it hard to focus on what to do.
If Natasha noticed the slightly burned meatloaf, she didn’t comment on it. Even as you downed your wine quickly and poured yourself more, she remained stoic and acted as usual.
The night went by in a blurr and now you’re staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep. Natasha is in the study, doing surveillance and thank God, because sharing a bed after what you did today?
Impossible.
How do I get myself in these situations?
—
“The Maggia” Fury said, looking around the room. There were only five people there, which told you this was an important mission. “What do you know about it?”
“Family of criminals, from Europe, mostly Italy. Loose alliance at that, each family just stays out of the other’s way” you casually said. Hell, you could go on and on about them for much longer.
“Someone does their homework” Fury nodded.
“Show off” Natasha leaned forward, whispering in your ear. The contact sent a shiver down your spine, but you tried your best to hide it.
You feared your best wasn’t very good.
“Their operations consist mostly of loan sharking, narcotics and prostituion” Maria continued. “But, we recently recieved intel that the family in New Jersey is playing something more dangerous”
“Potentially, HYDRA and the smuggling of Trinium”
“What’s Trinium?” Rogers, who had been following in silenece, finally intervened.
“Incredibly rare element and highly explosive if exposed to a special charge”
Of course, it was always about blowing something up.
“We’ve located the leaders of the Jersey family. You two will be sent immediately to start the undercover mission, as the timeline indicates that the purchase will happen in less than three months. Sorry for not getting you a gift, but your wedding was done in such a rush” Fury slid down the files towards you and Natasha.
You took it and were about to hand it to Steve, since he was sitting behind you, but Fury just chuckled, shaking his head no.
Maria had to bite the inside of her cheek to not laugh at your shocked expression, while you turned to look at Natasha with wide eyes.
“Oh, darling, I’ll make you so very happy!”
—
Just your luck, Natasha decides to stay and work from home on Friday. Your plans of eating junk food and wasting away watching reality tv to feel better after your slip up are down the drain.
Instead, you are out gardening. It’s part of the cover, you insisted since you moved. What kind of person would not make an effort to improve their house? One they were planning on living in for years to come.
And truly, you had outdone yourself. In the month you’d spent here, the grass went from dry to green, all kinds of flowers blooming thanks to your hard work and the knowledge provided by years of helping your mother.
It doesn’t matter if the sun is burning your skin or sweat is dripping down your back, you absolutely cannot spend the morning inside the house with the woman who you have a crush on, and who probably knows your true feelings now, thanks to that stupid, stupid…
“Hey” her voice snaps you back to reality, looking up to meet her green eyes, soft and gentle.
“Hi” you reply from your place in the ground, wiping your forehead. “What’s up?”
“You’ve been at it for hours now, and it’s getting too hot. Come get some rest”
“It’s fine, I just need to…”
She calls your name, more of a plea than a warning not to argue with her and you sigh, standing up. As you go up the porch, she hands over a glass of cold lemonade and you take it, realising that you were very much in need of some refreshments.
“What are you doing?” you mutter when you put the glass down, and she takes her hands in yours.
“You’ve been acting strange since yesterday”
“Natasha”
“Did you act on instinct?” she asks, her lips inches from yours.
“Y-yes”
“That’s what a good agent does. You act natural. It’s not something you put any effort in. You don’t drop the cover under any circumstance”
She is throwing you a life line, a gracious way to salvage some of your dignity -if you have any left, that is- because you both know, you are not that good of an agent.
“She’s walking towards the house” Natasha warns, your back to the street. You don’t look behind you, allowing the redhead to pull you into a heated kiss that steals your breath.
“Hey, neighbors”
You turn around, Natasha’s hand falling to your lower back. Waving at Beatrice Costa, the both of you fake smiles. It’s still hard to believe this regular looking woman is leading a criminal organization next to her husband.
“Your garden is looking spectacular!” she admires.
“Thank you, Beatrice. I’ll stop by to give you some flowers when the hydrengeas bloom”
“As long as your wife doesn’t get jealous” the woman jokes, and you feel Natasha’s hand snaking around your middle, pulling you flush against her front.
“She does” the redhead says in a teasing manner, making your neighbor/suspect laugh.
“Anyways, I came to invite you two over for dinner tomorrow. To thank you for last week”
“Oh, it was no bother, really” you say, smiling.
“I insist. Eight o’clock?”
“Sounds great” you nod, and once she says her goodbyes, Natasha turns you around in her arms, still not letting go of your waist.
“See? It’s working. You’re doing great. Nobody questions us” she eases your nerves over what happened yesterday.
Nobody questions you because you are really in love with her, that’s the truth.
“What are you doing?” you say, your breath hitching when she leans over, about to kiss you.
“She’s still around” Natasha says, letting you close the distance to meet her lips.
By the time she drags you back inside, so you can have lunch, the only thought in your head is the feel of her lips in yours.
—
It had been a simple ruse, so simple that it was a wonder it worked.
Natasha made sure Beatrice’s car would malfunction. She always parked outside, and you made sure to be Natasha’s lookout as she drained the battery.
Morning came, and true to her routine, the woman was ready to leave home when the luxurious Mercedes Benz refused to turn on. It just so happened that you were running by, and as any good neighbor would do, offered to help.
What a coincidence, your wife knew enough about cars to fix the issue and send the woman on her merry way.
Beatrice was too polite and too rich to waste the opportunity to thank you -and flaunt her wealth- so next morning she stopped by with a tiramisu from the most expensive bakery in town, to thank you both.
And fuck, it was good tiramisu.
Now, she would greet you and Natasha when either one of you would run past her house (part of your intelligence operations).
Four weeks after the start of the mission, and it had finally paid off, as you received an invitation into the lion’s den.
“So, what’s our game plan here?” you say, looking over yourself in the vanity mirror.
“Enjoy the evening” Natasha says, smiling at your reflection.
“What?” you turn to look at her, confused. “We’re gonna be inside their house. We could bug it”
“Their phones are tapped. That’s all we need. And the man’s computer. But maybe I’ll excuse myself and break into his study”
“That’s too dangerous” you protest. Even if they act like normal people, they’re life long criminals with an extensive network. And you don’t feel prepared to take over anything if Natasha’s compromised. “Could you not?”
“If you have any idea on how to hack into their financial system, sure”
You huff, annoyed at her bored tone. As if she’s not risking herself over something that can be done a million other ways.
“Nat, I don’t want anything bad happening to you. We’ll find another way, ok?” you insist, putting on your heels.
“Ok, darling” she nods, as a spouse would do to calm their crazy wife and you glare, but take your win.
Without another word, you prepare to leave the room, when you feel her arms around your middle.
“What are you…?”
“Clothing tag was out” she says, fixing your sweater. “There. Perfect”
Her words, accompanied by a squeeze to your stomach make your head fuzzy. Clearing your throat, you nod and go down the stairs, picking up a bottle of wine from the kitchen counter.
“Trust me” you say when Natasha gives you an inquiring look. “Ready to go?”
“After you, sweetheart”
As you walk down the street to the Costa residence, Natasha takes your hand, running her thumb over the back of it. She might sense your nerves, or is apologizing for before. Either way, you keep a light conversation until she knocks on your suspect’s door, her arm firmly around your waist.
“Welcome!” Beatrice says, ushering you into her home. It’s elegant and big, but not too flashy or pretentious. “And what do we have here?”
“Just a little gift. It’s actually one of the bottles we got from our honeymoon” you take the lead, your hand in Natasha’s as you navigate the luxurious home all the way to the dining room.
“Oh, this is close to the place where my family is from originally”
Oh, what a shock. It’s not like you know everything there is about the Maggia, along with the history of the Gulf of Naples.
While Beatrice goes to the kitchen to check on the food -made by their staff, of course- Natasha looks around the room. You know that inquiring look, as she evaluates every threat and possible complication should you be compromised.
To help her ease into the environment, you take her hand in yours, feeling less exposed because you’re in front of other people who should believe your relationship is real. The mission is the only way you can justify your desire to feel Natasha’s touch.
By the time Beatrice comes back, Alessandro is right behind her and he introduces himself. His clothes scream old money, and the watch on his wrist screams fucking loaded of ilegal money as well.
“This wine is magnificent” he comments when you sit down and begin to eat.
“Le Lune del Vesuvio” you say, looking at Natasha across the table. “We spent our honeymoon in Italy and I just had to drag Nat to Pompeii for a tour”
“Are you familiar with the region?” Alessandro asks and you nod, having practiced everything.
“Yes, I did my dissertation on cultural identity in Pompeii”
“She’s a genius, my wife” Natasha says with a smile, impressed at how much detail you’re putting on everything to keep them engaged.
“Well, Beatrice’s family, the Fortunatos are from the same area. The Costas are from Sicily. So we are very happy to hear that you know it so well”
“How did you two meet?” Beatrice pivots, and Natasha is happy to answer.
“I was working on a client’s divorce settlement and needed an art expert. Y/N was the only one with the knowledge to help our lawfirm. A divorce brought us together” she says, looking at you with a smile.
Such a romantic.
“Oh, that’s lovely. Well, not for the divorced couple. But not everyone can get a happy ending, I suppose” Beatrice says.
It’s your turn to ask the usual questions and Natasha acts surpirsed, following up the way any normal person would, as if you don’t know every single detail about their lives and criminal record already.
When the conversation pivots to Alessandro, you perk up. This has proven to be the hardest part of the mission, as he keeps a tight leash on all their financial records through obscure third parties.
“You know, I also teach some finance classes. Would you be open to giving a lecture on art appraising? I think it’s an interesting market” he turns to you.
“That would be interesting” you say, groaning internally. Now you’re gonna have to actually work on a presentation, for fuck’s sake. Nobody told you you were gonna be quizzed to this extent during the mission.
Natasha hides her smile with the glass of wine, and you kick her under the table. Her smile fades just a little, but you can still see the teasing in her eyes.
She’s having too much fun with this.
—
The next morning you wake up to a note from Natasha. She’s picking up a “special” package, which means she’s coordinating with Maria the next stage of the mission.
You’re surprised to find a bouquet of flowers adorning the dining table.
Natasha is doing her share of the mission and you have to focus on yours, which is the fucking presentation. There better not be a Q&A session or you’ll lose your damn mind.
Moving to the study that also works as a surveillance room, you pull out your computer and begin to work. To be fair, you enjoy art enough to know more about it than the regular person. You had also been in contact with appraisers and auction houses back in your Interpol days, as you tracked ilegal art dealers.
For obvious reasons, you can’t mention that bit.
You’ve been working for a couple of hours when you hear the front door open, Natasha hurrying up the steps.
“Hey” she says with a frown.
“Everything ok?”
“You didn’t answer my text. Have you even taken a break to eat?” she puts down a heavy box in front of you.
“Sorry, I was preparing for the lecture”
“I got you your favorite food for lunch. And did you see the bouquet?” Natasha insists.
“Uh, I did… but is there a reason for…?”
“You seriously don’t remember?”
“Is it our fake first date anniversary, baby?” you tease, leaning forward. Natasha’s so worked up it's almost comical.
“Y/N, it’s your birthday”
“What?!” you turn to look at the calendar. “Holy crap, how could I have forgotten my own birthday?”
You are so focused on the mission, this completely slipped your mind. What were you supposed to do any way? Being undercover meant cutting off contact with the rest of the world. The timing sucks, but work is your priority right now.
“Work on that thing tomorrow. You should be resting and having a special day”
“Nat, it’s fine. It won’t be the first or last birthday that I’m stuck at work” you sigh, rubbing your eyes.
“Please?” she reaches for your hand, and the gesture is so gentle that your heart skips a beat. Natasha is very serious about taking the day off.
“Ok” you nod, and the hint of a smile can be seen on her face as you take her hand. She gets plates for the both of you and even agrees to watch Project Runway, which she loathes and you love. Without either one of you noticing, you end up across the couch, your legs on her lap.
“Our dinner reservation is at seven” she says, her hand going up and down your thigh.
“Dinner?”
“What kind of wife would I be if I didn’t take you to dinner?” Natasha smiles, making you blush.
“Well, no one really knows it’s my birthday, so…”
You leave out the most obvious part of how her logic is flawed: you are not even married.
“I know it’s your birthday. Come on. Just let me spoil you once?”
You clear your throat and nod, afraid that if you speak, your voice will give away how much those words affect you. Natasha telling you she wants to spoil you?
That alone is the best birthday gift you’ve ever gotten.
—
It’s honestly a lot more than you could have asked for. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is amazing, and Natasha is looking at you in that special way that makes you feel so happy and confused at the same time.
If you didn’t know any better, you could have sworn you saw love in her beautiful emerald eyes.
“How’s your food?”
“Here” you take a forkful of your pasta and offer it to her.
“Really good. Almost as good as the one we had in… where was it? Naples?” Natasha teases, and you smile.
“That’s the city. The whole region is actually really beautiful… maybe I should take some of that time off and travel again” you ponder, thinking about how life has been all about work for the past years.
“Where would you go? Aside from Naples?”
“Sorrento, Lecce, maybe Positano. I don’t know, I guess I’d spend it around the south, just because the food is that good” you sigh, dreamily.
“How come you know so much about it?” Natasha inquires, smiling softly.
“My parents owned a house, because my grandparents were from Salerno. So we’d all spent every summer there, until they sold the property” you explain, letting the waiter take your empty plate. The memory of hot days, cold water and delicious food comes back to you, coupled with the places you’d visit, driving everywhere with your family.
“So, maybe you were destined to be on this mission” Natasha says, smiling.
“I don’t know if destined or it was Fury messing with me” you slip up, hurrying to take a sip of your wine. He had teased you endlessly about your crush on Natasha, and he was probably laughing his ass off as he prepared your identities.
“Whatever it was, I’m happy we’re in this together” Natasha admits, smiling to you.
“Me too” you agree in a low voice. Then, you look at her and smile mischeviously. “So, since it’s my birthday, can we get a nice dessert?”
“I’m already on it” Natasha raises her hand, the man bringing a plate with a slice of chocolate cake and a candle. “Make a wish”
What could you possibly wish for? You wanted to spend time with Natasha, get to know her, have her look at you the way she was doing right now.
Your wish was granted already. Still, you smile, and lean forward to blow out the candle.
—
“Maybe this is a bad idea”
Natasha is hovering. Hovering and following you and asking all kinds of questions while you prepare your bag.
“It’s gonna be fine” you say, again.
“It’s too risky”
“All I have to do is place this phone next to his computer” you lift the device that Maria sent. “And we’ll have access to his files”
“What if he notices?”
“I better run fast then” you joke, but Natasha doesn’t laugh. “I’m a SHIELD agent, not a history nerd with no fighting skills”
“Except you are a history nerd” she mutters and you turn to glare at her.
“You know what, Romanoff”
“Can I at least drive you there?”
There’s a moment of hesitation on your side. Does she think you’ll screw up the mission? Or is she actually worried about you? Either way, she looks conflicted and there’s no reason to not give her some peace of mind.
“Alright”
On the way to the lecture, you review your notes, missing the way Natasha smiles at the things you’re saying about the subjective value of art and how it has changed throughout history.
Such a nerd.
“I’ll be in a cafe monitoring everything. Call me when you’re done and I’ll pick you up”
“Yes, darling wife” you say with a slightly mocking tone, the same way you always call her your wife in public, but with no one else around.
As you exit the car and walk towards the university, Natasha calls for you.
“I didn’t get to wish you good luck” she explains, pulling you close and kissing you softly. “Good luck”
“T-thanks” you say, out of breath.
Natasha nods, letting you walk as if she didn’t just do the sweetest thing in the world.
You try not to think about how much you’ll miss this when the mission’s over.
But now you have to stay focused.
Alessandro waves his hand in the air, and you walk towards him with a smile.
“I can’t thank you enough for doing this”
“It’s not a problem, really”
It totally is, you criminal motherfucker.
“Oh, I forgot my laptop, could I use yours? I have the deck on a flash drive”
Alessandro hesitates for a second, but his mask slips back to place instantly. If you really were a regular person, you never would have noticed his concern.
It means he keeps everything hidden there.
“Sure. Let me just…” he quickly types his password, and you look around the classroom, pulling out the phone and placing it on the table next to his computer. “All set”
“Thank you”
As the slideshow is projected in the auditorium, you look around the room, feeling more confident.
“So, how much would you guys pay for a banana taped to a wall?”
—
“I’m telling you, he keeps everything there” you say to Natasha, browsing through the device. “There’s some encryption, though”
“My expertise”
“Show off”
“Let’s get something to eat” she changes the subject.
“You don’t wanna go back home and check if it’s working?”
“I think a few hours won’t make a difference. We won’t be long, detka”
You think Fury would disagree, but she’s calling you detka and your gayness outweights your sense of duty.
“What are you in the mood for?”
“Anything you want”
“Pizza”
“Anything but pizza” she says, making a face and you laugh.
“Natasha!”
“Sushi” she proposes.
“Fine, sushi it is”
The evening is spent talking about everything but the mission, and by the time you’re driving back home, all you want to do is get in bed and sleep.
“Where are you going?” you ask when Natasha walks to the study.
“You did your part, now I have to work” she explains with a smile.
“Fine” you close the door to the bedroom, joining her in the study. “Either way you’re gonna wake me up when you come back to bed. Might as well help you now”
“Sure” she says, even though you know next to nothing about code and hacking.
While she works on the computer, you look at the window, yawning and stretching in the couch.
Natasha finds out that Pluto is the banking organization they use for their covert operations. To access the accounts she needs a code-string of numbers.
“How many numbers?” you ask, half asleep.
“Six”
“Not coordinates. Could be dates. Most of them like to write down the dates of their oldest founders' tombstones anywhere they can, like a fucking tramp stamp” you joke, falling asleep. “Get into the database and try those”
“Maybe…” Natasha begins to say, but when she turns around you’re snoring.
And what does she know, you are right, the key to the algorithm is based on tombstones’ dates. Talk about morbid.
“Nerd” Natasha says affectionately. Deciding it is enough work for the day, she closes the laptop, helping you up to your shared bedroom.
Truth is, she’s not ready to finish this mission.
—
The end is near, you both can tell. With the encryption finished and the communications that you have intercepted, SHIELD has enough to arrest them.
According to the conversations you recorded, the exchange is set to happen two weeks from today. So you have two more weeks of fake domestic bliss. And then back to being just colleagues.
“I’ll be home as soon as I have a response” Natasha says.
“See you later” you say from your spot in the couch.
“No good luck kiss?” she jokes, referring to the time she said goodbye to you before the lecture.
But you’re not messing around when you stand up and place a chaste kiss on her cheek. If these are the last two weeks you get to do this without being questioned, you’ll make the most of them.
“Be safe”
“You too” she smiles, squeezing your hand.
The sun is setting, but you don’t feel like cooking anything or watching television. Instead, you decide to go out for a run, passing by the Costa mansion out of curiosity.
“Hey, neighbor” Beatrice greets with her signature wave. She often looks like royalty waving at the commoners. “Want some refreshments?”
“Oh, it’s fine. I’m just out for a short run”
“Come on, you could use some rest! I’d love to hear how the presentation went”
Feeling cornered, you nod, stepping foot inside her mansion. Beatrice has a glass of lemonade ready, which surprises you, but you take it and sip slowly.
Damn, even her lemonade tastes amazing.
“Heard those students were fascinated by your presentation” she encourages you to speak, and you nod, the movement making you a bit fuzzy.
“It was fun… yeah”
“Everything ok?” Beatrice comes close to inspect your face, and you try to step back. Your leg gives in, so you end up on the floor.
“I’m not sure…”
It isn’t until the very last second you understand the woman drugged you.
—
Everything is upside down or so you feel as you struggle to open your eyes.
“See? I told you she’d be fine”
“Oh, shut it. We’ve been waiting for hours” a man says and you blink several times. Their names come back to you slowly.
The mission.
Was your cover blown?
“Y/N, dear, I do apologize. My wife may have overdone it with the clonazepam” Alessandro says. You try to move, but your hands are tied behind your back. “Yes, about that. Don’t worry, we won’t keep you here for long. We just really need to use your connections in the art world to smuggle a tiny, tiny thing”
Good news (for you). The cover is safe.
Bad news (for them). Natasha is gonna kill them.
It looks like you’re in an abandoned warehouse, and judging by the sound, it’s close to the river.
“Yeah, uh… look. I don’t know how to say this, but you’d be better off crossing the border, whichever one. South, north”
“I’m not following” Beatrice says.
“Well, I’m afraid Natasha’s gonna kill you when she finds you two” you grimace, almost feeling sorry for them. They truly don’t know what’s coming.
“No offense, but I think a Maggia family will be more than safe from…”
“The Black Widow?” you say, with a smug smile.
“Bullshit” Beatrice snaps, pulling you by the hair. “Stop the nonesense and help us out. Or we’ll send you home to your loving wife in a body bag”
There’s a loud crash outside of the warehouse, and a widow bite is shot close to Beatrice’s foot as a warning.
“Hands off my girl” Natasha says, gun raised and pointing at Alessandro. “You ok, sweetheart?”
“Yes. Sorry for missing dinner”
“It’s fine. We’ll heat it up when we get home” Natasha jokes. With a nod, you throw yourself to the floor, shattering the chair. Beatrice throws a couple of punches, and she’s quite the fighter.
While Natasha is engaged in battle with Alessandro, the woman escapes and you’re following close behind. The drug is still in your system, and you can tell by the way your steps are a little clumsy.
Beatrice leads you to the edge of the river and you catch up to her out of breath.
“It’s over” you say, hearing Natasha step right behind you.
“Cap’s got the other one. Let’s bring this one in” she says, walking past you. She fails to see the gun that Beatrice is hiding, and you push Natasha out of the way. The bullet passes between you both and you launch your body against Beatrice, knocking her down.
Still, your diziness makes you lose your footing and you fall to the river.
“Rogers, Hill!” Natasha calls over comms, borderline hysterical. “Someone come in”
“I’m here, Romanoff” Tony says, flying over the redhead.
“What the hell took you so long?”
Tony’s suit scans the river and finds you.
“She’s ok, I’m getting her out now. Handcuff our suspect there”
Natasha turns to glare at Beatrice, punching her so hard she’s knocked out.
“Bitch” Natasha says, handcuffing her.
Maria approaches to make sure Natasha doesn’t kill Beatrice, while the redhead sprints towards the spot where Tony drops you off.
“Are you ok? What hurts?”
“J-just cold” you mutter, holding on to her hands.
“Let’s take her to the Medbay. Romanoff, stay so you can lead the rest of the mission” Steve says.
“Are you out of your damn mind?” Natasha screams so loud that every agent on the scene turns to look at her. “I’m going with her to the hospital, I don’t give a crap about your mission, Rogers”
“Tasha, I’m fine” you insist, but enjoy the way she pulls you against her, her hands on your lower back. Natasha kisses the top of your head, leading you to a car that will drive you to SHIELD’s medical facility.
Fury turns to look at Hill, amused.
“Remember our little bet?”
Maria rolls her eyes, annoyed. She pulls out a twenty dollar bill and reluctantly hands it to her boss.
“So not fair”
—
Bruised ribs, a potential cold from your night swim and a minor concussion. All things considered, it could have been a hell of a lot worse.
Natasha seems to disagree, which is why she pushes to postpone the mission debriefing.
“You need to rest” is all she says.
Back in your old room, you shower, enjoying the hot water and clean clothes. Natasha is still sitting on your bed when you walk out of the bathroom.
“I don’t know if I’ll be able to sleep without you” she confesses shyly, which makes you smile.
“Me neither”
“I thought I lost you”
“I got lucky. Those two idiots actually thought I was an art dealer” you chuckle.
“You’re a very convincing art nerd” Natasha teases, and you want to pull back but she grabs you by the waist. “I wish I still had two more weeks”
“It doesn’t have to be just two weeks” you say, running your hand through her hair. “I don’t want to pretend to be with you, Natasha. I want to be with you, for real”
“Yeah?” she looks up at you, a guarded expression on her face.
Instead of answering, you lean forward, kissing her softly until she pulls you to straddle her lap.
“You know, we never consumated our marriage”
“Seems like we should get on with it” you laugh as she flips you over, making you lie on your back.
“Just as long as you don’t fake an orgasm” she jokes, kissing every inch of your body.
“Promise I won’t”
Your reality turns out better than any undercover mission could ever be.

christmas blues- n. romanoff
pairing: natasha romanoff x r
summary: while attending a christmas party with natasha, she reveals her feelings towards you
a/n: hi! hope u are all enjoying the holidays if you celebrate! i wrote this last month and wanted to hand it over to you guys! enjoy!
minors do not interact
after natasha got out of a three year long relationship, she was fully convinced that she would never get into another again. she was absolutely heartbroken after maria broke up with her. she promised herself that her career would stay her main priority and wouldn’t entertain a love life again.
the breakup was messy, the whole company knew about it and everyone saw how natasha wanted to hide. she found herself laying in bed past ten in the morning— avoiding all responsibility for months.
natasha often stared at the ceiling at night, replaying the last fight that led to their breakup. maria’s voice would be sharp and cold. even months later, natasha still couldn’t couldn’t get rid of the hollow ache her ex-girlfriend had left. the alarm clock would blare, but she wouldn’t bother to turn it off— what was the point?
that was until you.
you caught her off guard, like a golden-pink sunrise after a harsh long night. somehow you’d brought life back into her eyes, you’d given her purpose again.
the first time natasha had a genuine laugh after maria was because of you. you’d spilled iced coffee all over your white blouse, but instead of getting angry— you made a joke out of it. she laughed hard enough that she snorted, something that surprised the both of you.
she’d forgotten what it felt like to have a genuine smile grace her face.
shortly after that, she found herself constantly in your orbit. not that you had an issue with it.
natasha couldn’t stop glancing at you in meetings, her fingers would graze yours under the table when she knew no one was looking. the way her eyes and voice softened when she spoke to you— natasha romanoff was in love, everyone could see that.
you two have been dating for almost two years now and it seemed like the honeymoon stage was never ending.
sure, you two had your arguments but the idea of either of you being mad at each other for over an hour seemed silly— so every problem was solved as soon as it even happened.
you two had been just colleagues before you two started dating. you’d nursed her back to life after the breakup and somewhere in the midst of all of that, you two became something more than colleagues and way beyond friends.
the fleeting glances in the hallway turned into knowing looks in meetings. the shared lunch break turned into dinner after work. you two had moved past being just colleagues and eventually became girlfriends.
you met her family seven months after you two started officially dating.
you even go out with her younger sister alone, you see her as your own sister now. when there’s a romanoff family event, there’s no doubt about whether or not you’ll be there.
you two were the epitome of lovebirds and everyone either cheered you two on or envied you.
“you and the mrs. coming to the christmas party this weekend?” tony asks as he walks into the kitchen where natasha is brewing a fresh cup of coffee.
looking over her shoulder at him with a slight eye roll at his teasing tone, “yes, tony, my girlfriend and i will be there.”
she lets out a gentle smile at the way that rolls of her tongue. she’s called you her girlfriend numerous times in the past two years but can’t help but feel like a schoolgirl every time. something about having someone to call her own is a feeling she’d never get over.
tony watches her with a glint in his eyes, his teasing demeanor gone and instead filled with pride.
although he can be rough around the edges sometimes, he cares deeply for his friends. beyond the smart quips and teases, he only wants the best for his people.
which is why he was beyond the moon when you two started dating. he’d tried to set natasha up with suitors numerous times before you came along but couldn’t quite get it right.
until you caught her by storm.
leaning against the countertop on the other side of the kitchen, he beams at natasha, “i’m really happy for you, you know that? you’ve come a long way, and i think your girl’s got a reason to do with it.”
natasha smiles at his words, knowing he doesn’t say that stuff often so she takes it to heart.
“thank you, tony. i think so too. after the break up with maria, i thought id give up on the whole dating thing. i’m so glad i didn’t.”
arriving home from work, natasha’s greeted with the smell of dinner and a james bond movie playing in the living room.
you’d always been attentive to natasha and have always known how to take care of her, something she’s always appreciated and voiced. she’d grown up always being perceptive and aware of others, so now that she’s the one being watched and listened to, her heart swells with adoration and affection.
coming up behind you as you cook, she wraps her arms around your waist and leans into you, her chin resting on your shoulder.
“smells amazing, my love. what’re you making?”
you smile and lean back into natasha’s hold, “remember when you took me to italy for my birthday earlier this year and i fell in love with that one plate? i found online and wanted to try it tonight.”
natasha had surprised you with tickets to italy, somewhere she knew you’d always wanted to visit.
before you two started dating, you’d spend a lot of time walking around the park and talking about your bucket list— you only told her about wanting to go to italy once.
natasha smiles and nods, remembering your vacation and how she wished she wasn’t such an over thinker. she would’ve proposed to you then and there at lake como.
as you finish cooking, natasha helps you plate the food and takes it to the kitchen table.
you two eat and talk about how your week has gone and how youre excited for tony’s party.
you’d gone out to buy a new dress, one that’s more on the holiday theme. the dark wine color is one you know natasha loves on you, which is why is hung up behind your bedroom door.
“we don’t have to be there for long. i know after a while it can get rowdy and i don’t know if you’ll be up for that,” natasha says as she brings a fork up to her mouth.
she avoids your gaze as she focuses on cutting her food. odd.
furrowing your brows and shaking your head at her statement, “nonsense, we’ll stay. don’t worry about it, we can just find a quiet place with our friends if anything. we usually do that anyway.”
the afternoon of the party, you two find yourselves in a familiar routine.
while you do your hair, natasha does her makeup. natasha usually asks you to ‘help’ her with her hair even though she really doesn’t need it— she just loves how you look when you’re focused.
especially when it’s her you’re focused on.
“you know, we don’t have to go if you don’t want to,” natasha says as she puts on her dangling pearl earrings. she’s said something along the lines of not going at least five times since last night’s dinner.
turning to look at her with your eyebrows raised, “do you not want to go? you’ve said that a few times already and it sounds like you don’t want to go.”
natasha looks over at you and sighs softly, “i do, i just wanted to do something today the both of us since christmas falls during the week this week. we could’ve had a personal christmas, you know, just the two of us.”
letting out an exhale of a laugh, you walk over to her as she sits on the bed watching you and place a soft kiss on her cheek.
“we don’t have to stay too long, okay?” you fix her hair so that it’s laying nice in place, “we can just show face.”
natasha nods softly and leans into your hand while you hold her face as you speak to her, “okay.”
you watch her through the mirror as you do your makeup and can see by the small furrow in her brow and the way she keeps fiddling with her watch, something is off with her.
you don’t acknowledge it, but want to get through tonight as quickly as possible to make sure you two can have the rest of the christmas weekend to yourselves.
the room is decorated beautifully in a festive atmosphere. warm christmas lights are all along the ceiling and the christmas tree is adorned with gold ornaments all around. you can even smell gingerbread in the air.
tony went above and beyond this year.
natasha led you in with a hand on your lower back and you can’t help but smile at the contact. she’s felt the need to always have a hand on you in some way. when you two sat down, she would rub your thigh in a soothing matter or would play with your hair as she stood behind you while you sat.
wanda waltzes up through the crowd with champagne in her hand, “you guys made it!”
she hugs you tightly and greets you with a friendly smile, then moving onto greeting natasha, “you guys missed it! tony got sam to sing karaoke and the whole place turned into a concert,” she beams.
the energy of the party sweeps you off your feet and it isn’t long before both you and natasha find yourselves engrossed in conversations with your friends. her hand never leaves the small of your back, it comforts both you and her. you and wanda share stories about your previous holiday traditions and natasha lets out a soft chuckle, warming the space between you two.
natasha apologizes to tony as you finally get to him almost an hour after you first walk in, “sorry we’re seeing you so late. we would’ve been here earlier if someone would’ve been ready sooner.” she subtly gestures to you with a tilt of her head,
you give natasha a playful glare as she says this, “i see how it is.”
natasha gives your waist a light squeeze, a gesture to show she’s joking with you. her green eyes dripping in adoration as she leans in closer to you, her voice dropping just enough for only you to hear it, “you look stunning, my love. always worth the wait.”
a blush creeps up your neck and you roll your eyes playfully, and tony laughs just before he’s pulled off into host duties.
the two of you walk around the party, exchanging pleasantries with colleagues and joking around with friends. sharing a drink, you two clink your champagne glasses in celebration, “to another stark christmas and to surviving the never ending hors d’oeuvres.”
the night is perfect and you find yourself feeling at home with natasha. you love the company— that the party has died down so now it’s just you two and your closest friends at the end of the night.
you all sit at the coffee table, nursing cups of coffee and sharing pastries that tony had hidden just to bring out for this time of the night. you’re leaned into natasha, her thumb absentmindedly rubbing circles against your thigh as she rests her hand on your leg.
you all are playing a friendly game of truth or dare and it was finally natasha’s turn.
she was dared by wanda to dance with you in front of everyone. simple.
“that’s your dare? easy,” natasha stands up and reaches out for your hand with a smile on her face, “milady.”
you giggle softly, shaking your head in disbelief and letting her pull you up, “you’re so corny.”
“but you love me,” natasha replies, matter-of-factly. she places a hand on your waist and holds your other in the air. your checks hurt from smiling widely and laughing all night.
natasha spins you around dramatically as you laugh heartily. she whispers softly in your ear that she loves you— you blush so noticeably that the group begins to whistle and cheer.
you two sit back on your side of the couch as the rest of the group continues, your head resting on natasha’s shoulder.
tony is in the middle of doing his dare when the elevator doors open up to a late guest. somehow, the door opening leads to the air feeling a bit tense. is it only you feeling that way?
“is that maria?” wanda whispers, it falling from her lips so quickly that she didn’t have the chance to hold it in before it came out.
natasha’s smile falters just a small amount before her face goes to a neutral expression in record timing. the hand that was just on your thigh a second ago is nowhere near your body, and she’s subtly moved in a way that made you pull your face away from her shoulder.
it’s like her warm and loving demeanor switched off in an instant, but then she catches your eye and gives you a half smile— is that guilt you see in her eyes?
before you can even ask her if she’s okay, you’re interrupted.
“sorry i’m late, i had to finish some last minute paperwork but i didn’t want to not show up at all.”
maria walks in commanding attention and respect. she doesn’t consciously do it, it’s just how she is— always has been. it’s not like you hated her, she never gave you a reason to.
she and natasha haven’t made eye contact, but you can feel natasha’s body go rigid right next to you, like shes expecting something to happen. the shift in natasha’s energy is unmistakable, one that leaves you uneasy as you sit next to her.
your heart sinks slowly as you realize that maria’s presence has dampened your girlfriend’s mood and part of you is worried about it. your heart sinks heavily, your body now feels ten times heavier.
the room didn’t go quiet, but natasha did. the hand that was always on you was now fiddling with her necklace, a tell you knew all too well. she was trying to anchor herself back down to earth.
maria finds a seat opposite on the couch, away from you and your girlfriend. you can see how natasha is averting her eyes from that area of the room and keeping her hands away from you.
you exchange worried glances with wanda who’s next to you, silently asking her what happened. wanda gives you a solemn look that you can’t quite place.
you sigh softly and try to place your hand in top of natasha’s, but just as you get close enough, she moves her hand away from you. it was so subtle that it couldve been mistaken as an honest mistake, but you know better.
you try to hide your frown as you look down, the stray piece of lint on your dress now looking a lot more interesting all of a sudden. you steady your breathing as much as possible, your emotions now getting close to boiling over.
the game continues and it’s finally natasha’s turn, she chooses truth.
clint smirks softly as he brings the beer bottle up to his lips, taking a swig before asking, “okay, let’s make this interesting. do you see yourself getting married?”
clint loves the two of you, matter of fact— everyone in the room has constantly rooted for the two of you. it took you two a while before you even officially started dating, so now that you two are together, the team loves how you bring the best in natasha.
the group laughs a little, almost like they already know natasha will, without hesitation, say that she does— with you.
natasha’s silence silences the group and you can see maria smirking subtly through the corner of your eye.
does she have something to do with why natasha’s hesitating to answer the question?
i mean, you and nat have both spoken about marriage in the past. she told you she couldn’t wait to get married and build a house an hour away from the city with you. why is she silent?
the group is now uncomfortably quiet at natasha’s red face and her lack of eye contact with anyone.
you glance over at nat, your heart heavy at the lack of response, apprehensive about her answer.
after a beat, natasha clears her throat and fiddles with the beer bottle cap in her fingers, “marriage? i.. i don’t know about that. maybe if i find the right person in the future.”
maybe if i find the right person?
your heart drops and you swear you could fall over any second. you try to mask your hurt by looking down at the ground. natasha had always reassured you about her feelings and intentions towards you. what happened?
“that’s understandable,” maria hums softly, her tone light, “you don’t want to vow your life to someone you don’t see a forever with.”
tony turns the attention away from the two of you quickly and finds another game to play, one that won’t lead to the potential demise of a relationship.
even though truth or dare is now over, you can feel some of your friends casting glances over in your direction to make sure you’re okay. you try to focus your attention on the jenga game that’s going on, but all you can think about is how natasha said she doesn’t see marriage with you.
is it because maria’s here?
you try to convince yourself maybe she’s having an off day, or maybe she’s just tired and wants to leave. after all, she didn’t want to come to the party in the first place.
the party slowly calms down and everyone is talking amongst themselves, but you find yourself growing quieter as the night progresses. natasha’s words echo in your head as you try to distract yourself by paying attention to whatever it is tony is talking about animatedly from across the couch.
natasha’s arm rests on the back of the couch, and you notice that ever since maria entered, she hasn’t reached for you.
maria is across the room talking to steve and sam about a past mission she went on and you can’t help but watch her. it’s not that you’re mad at her— why would you be? she didn’t force natasha to say what she said. you hate that you’re watching her every move now— especially because you can see that natasha is glancing in her direction every few minutes. it’s subtle and quick, but you notice it.
you get up and walk to the bar across the room. your girlfriend doesn’t follow.
you try your best to steady yourself as you make a quick drink. you watch from the other side, alone, as you see natasha talking to the group and laughing with them like nothing happened. you can see her gaze lands on maria for a few seconds longer than you were comfortable with.
you sigh softly and rub your temples as you try to bring yourself back to earth. maybe you’re overthinking and natasha will talk about it later with you at home.
the drive home is eerily quiet. you stare out the window and press your fingernails into your palms, an old habit that’s resurfacing. one that natasha helped you break at the beginning of your relationship.
“you’ve been quiet,” natasha says softly, almost hesitantly. maybe she knows what’s next. she’s treading with caution.
“i’m just tired”
“right,” natasha says as she pulls into the driveway and parks the car, “tired.”
you hold in a breath and exit the car, not even waiting to see if natasha will open the door for you. you know she won’t.
you try to gather the courage to say something as the two of you walk in and hang up your coats. you can feel your stomach heavy, your limbs feel like they could fall off at any second— you could break down at any second.
“what a par-“
“we need to talk”
you two speak at the same time and natasha immediately grimaces. it’s like she was hoping you’d forget what happened.
natasha tries to act busy as she takes off her shoes, her voice low, “about what?”
you scoff, “about what? natasha, you basically said you don’t see a future with me. we’ve talked about marriage before, about how it was what we both wanted— with each other..” you trail off, your voice wavers, but you press on. “is this temporary?”
natasha exhales harshly, making your heart drop, “that’s not what i meant by it.”
“really? because we seemed on the same page, but tonight when maria walked in, all of a sudden it was like our relationship didn’t exist.” you were letting your emotions out, no longer holding back your hurt.
natasha rubs her face and you look at her eyes. you see guilt and remorse, something that you rarely see with her— you feel sick.
exhaling sharply and looking at you with a guilt ridden expression, “she was my first serious relationship, the one i thought i would marry. after we broke up, i convinced myself i would never do that again— she broke me.”
you furrow your eyebrows and cross your arms, expression sharp, “and what does she have to do with me?”
“everything! she has everything to do with this!” natasha exclaims, her voice cracking, “when maria walked in, i realized i can’t give you the future you deserve. i can’t do it! i have so much baggage and you-“ her voice softens, “you don’t deserve to be with someone who’s going to throw that on you.”
you stand there, the weight of her words suffocating you, “so you’re going to push me away because you’re afraid?”
natasha looks at you with tears in her eyes and you can’t help but want to reach out to her, comfort her.
but this isn’t the natasha you fell in love with.
“i don’t know how to fix this,” she says, taking a few steps away from you, like she’s afraid for be near you.
you take a steadying breath and close your eyes, something about tonight has a sense of finality— one you didn’t ask for but can’t avoid, “natasha, i love you— so much, but i can’t be with someone and see a future with them when all they’re doing is looking over their shoulder at their past. it’s unfair to me.”
natasha’s lip quivers so subtly that if you didn’t know her so well, you’d have missed it, “are you leaving me?”
she places a hand on her chest, rubbing her collarbone in an nervous habit you can’t help but recognize. you can see how this is hurting her, but you know it’s unfair to continue being with someone who became unsure in such a short amount of time.
“i don’t want to, nat, but i think the fact that you saw maria for just an hour and this happened.. it means you need to figure out what you really want. seeing her one time shouldn’t have led you to being unsure.”
natasha watches you with tears in her eyes, fiddling with the ring on her finger. she nods softly, she knows it’s unfair to you how she switched up in such a short amount of time.
“i love you,” she tries to sound confident, but you can hear how defeated she sounds.
you smile sadly and place a gentle hand on her cheek, “you need to prove that to yourself, natasha. figure out what you want, without maria lingering in the back of your mind. it’s not good for you, us. maybe we can try again in the future when it’s past you.”
you pull your hand away reluctantly, the loss of her warmth hitting you immediately. natasha doesn’t stop you, not even as you pack your bags and leave.

The morning sun filters in through the crack in the curtains. You can feel as a breath tickles the back of your neck. Slowly you blink your eyes open. The arms wrapped around you tighten as you're pulled in closer. “Good morning dorogaya.” Nat’s morning voice deep with sleep whispers in your ear. You can’t help the smile that spreads across your face.
“Mmm morning Natty.” You mumble your hands moving to Nat’s. Her hands caressing your pregnant belly. Since she found out that you’re pregnant with hers and Wanda’s pups she has been absolutely obsessed with your belly. None of you expected that after your first heat with the alphas that you would become pregnant. Nonetheless you’re all excited to grow the pack and your family.
Wanda was sent on an early morning mission leaving just the two of you. So as you lay in bed, the closeness of your other alpha brings a calmness to the room. You look at the clock on the bedside table and see that it’s nearly 9am. “Shit.” You move to try and get out of Nat’s hold but her hold tightens on you. You need to get to the bakery. With the pups coming in the future you need to prepare some new staff for your impending leave. “Natty, I need to get up.”
Nat’s hands caress your swollen stomach more as she nuzzles into your shoulder. “Oh come on detka stay in bed with me.” You feel her hands wandering more and can tell her desire is growing. She moves a hand to grope at your breasts and a breathy moan tumbles from your lips. “I know you want to stay mega.” She mumbles against your shoulder.
“Natty, I really have to get ready.” Your words come out as a whine. Nat pinches your nipple between her fingers. You’re breathing quickens as you push back against her. You can already feel as her cock hardens. “I-I ha-have to train new me-mega’s.” You can’t help but stutter out. Her menstrations on your body make it hard to deny the alpha.
The hand that once was on your stomach trails down slipping into the panties you are wearing. Nat’s fingers swiping at your folds. “Oh mega do you need your alpha? Hmm need my cock in your needy hole?” Nat grinds against your ass as her fingers slip between your folds. “Oh so wet for me.” You let out a whine as your resolve crumbles.
“Please Natty, I need you.” Nat smirks against the skin of your neck. She moves her hand back up to the waistband of your panties. She pushes them down around your thighs just giving her enough access before pushing her boxers down. Her hardened cock slapping against your ass. You grind back against her causing a moan to fall from the alpha’s lips.
Nat lifts your leg slightly as she lines herself up with your entrance. She slowly pushes in until she is fully sheathed inside of you, both of you letting out a groan. “Fuck still so tight mega. Perfect for my cock.” You push back grinding against her eliciting a moan from the alpha. She starts to slowly thrust her cock in and out as you push back to meet her thrust. Her hands start to wander your body lifting up the large shirt you slept in. Her hands cupping your perk breast in her hands. Fingers pinching your pebbled peaks. Moans tumbling from your lips.
As Nat thrust her hips into yours, both of your moans fill the room. You can feel as her knot begins to form slamming against your entrance with every thrust. Every thrust angled perfectly to hit that spot deep inside of you. “Mm-Mmm fuck. Fe-Feels so good.” You stutter out. Nat lazily places kisses on your shoulder and neck. One of your hands moving behind you and gripping onto Nat’s ass.
“So beautiful carrying our pups. Most perfect omega for your alphas.” Nat pants behind you as both of your orgasms grow. Her knot desperate to slip in and fill you. Your walls clamping around her length just as desperate to be filled. “Gonna fill you up detka. Having you leaking my seed all day.” Nat mumbles her thrust sloppy.
With a few more thrust Nat’s knot slips in a loud moan ripped from your throat. Your orgasm crashing over you as white hot spurts of cum paint your walls. Your walls are suffocating her cock and milking her dry. Your nails dig into her ass causing her to moan against the skin of your neck as your juices coat her cock. “So good for me.” Nat mumbles grinding against you to prolong both of your orgasms. “Good girl.”
You're both panting as Nat comes to a stop. Locked together until her knot goes down. Her hands glide back down to caress your stomach. You move to lace your fingers with hers content on your current position. “Fuck that was so good.” You're still breathing heavily as you press back into her wanting to be closer.
Nat chuckles at you. “Just a little bit ago you wanted to get out of bed.” She teases and you sigh.
“Sadly I still have to go to Natty. I don’t have a whole lot of time before the twins come.” You counter. You don’t want to leave this bed but you know you have to. You have too much to do before the pups come.
When Nat’s knot finally goes down you let her slip out of you as you crawl out of bed. Your panties are still around your tights. You go to take them off but Nat clicks her tongue causing you to stop. You look at her with curiosity. “Put them back on detka.” Her voice is low as she watches you hesitate.
“Natty, I need to go clean up before work.” Your words almost come out a whine as you question what the alpha could want. But of course Nat has a thought. One that you might not be so fond of.
Nat gets up stalking closer to you, she towers over you as you look up to her. She grabs your hips and pulls you closer. You can feel her cum is leaking out of you. “Mega pull up your panties.” You don’t argue as you do what she says. “I want you to feel as my cum leaks out of you for the rest of the day. The way it’s kept right there making you all needy for me when you get home.”
You let out a whine. “But Natty. What if others can smell it.”
Nat shushes you as she sees the desperation in your eyes. “Good.” She growls. “That lets them all know that you are mine.” You feel a shiver down your spine at her possessiveness but it’s so hot. You nod and pull them all the way up, looking up at her for approval. “Good girl.”
You go and get ready for the rest of your day. You know it is going to be long but it’s what needs to be done. You come into the kitchen where Nat has coffee in her hand and a lunch packed for you on the counter. You smile at the gesture. “Will Wands be home tonight?” You ask.
“She should be home in a couple of hours detka.” Nat rounds the counter and comes over to you, mug still in hand. She leans down kissing you cheek. “Have a good day.” Her voice gets low and sultry as a shiver runs up your spine. She smirks seeing the reaction. “You smell devine mega.”
Your feet and body ache as you make your way in the door. Dropping your bags vowing to pick them up later. You close your eyes as you take some deep breaths. “Welcome home malyshka.” Wanda’s voice fills your ears. Your eyes snap open, spotting your other alpha walking towards you with a smirk on her face. That can’t be good, you think to yourself. Especially when you’re normally greeted with a wide smile. She makes it to you, wrapping her arms around your waist. “How are you feeling sweetheart?” One of her hands moves to caress your stomach. “How are the pups?”
A wide smile spreads across your face. “We are all good.”
Wanda nods. “That’s good malyshka.” You lean into her embrace feeling all the tension in your body melting away. You bury your face in the crook of her neck, and she kisses the top of your head. “You smell delicious mega.” She mumbles. You pull away a shocked look on your face. “Natty told me all about your morning together. Bedroom now sweet girl. It’s my turn now.” You nod and make your way quickly to the bedroom.
You swing the door open but the sight in front of you has you frozen in your tracks. Nat sits in a chair in the middle of the room facing the bed. Her body is naked and tied down to the chair. Ropes wrapped around her arms and legs keeping them flush against the chair. Her boxers from this morning is being used as a gag and her cock painfully hard leaking precum. Her cheeks are tear stained as her eyes meet yours.
Wanda comes up behind you placing her hands on your hips. She slowly walks the both of you into the room and kicks the door shut. “Like what you see detka?” Wanda whispers in your ear. You nod feeling heat pull in your lower abdomen. “Natty’s poor little mind showed how desperate she was for you mega. How she made our sweet girl late for work.” She hums in your ear. Her hand traveling down and slipping into your pants and then your panties. Her fingers explore you as you gasp. “Our poor omega. Natty left you just leaking all day long. Making sure that you were all desperate for her cock again. Let's show our alpha what being desperate really is like. Hmm sweet girl, how does that sound?” She turns you around kissing you harshly. You can’t help but moan into her mouth which she gladly swallows. “You’re going to ride me.” She mumbles against your lips as you feel the cold air on your heated skin. Your nipples pebbling to harden peaks from the unexpected cold air. You can see as the red dissipates around you, knowing that Wanda used her magic.
Wanda pulls away walking to the bed. She positions herself in the middle, arms spread out with a cocky smirk on her face. Her cock standing tall and proud, precum leaking down from her tip. She beckons you over which you hastily move to. Climbing on the best you start to position yourself facing her. She clicks her tongue. “Face Natasha detka. You’re going to put on a show.”
You nod. “Yes Wands.” You murmur as you turn around locking eyes with Nat. You can see her hips twitch watching you. Your naked form makes her inner alpha go wild, desperate to get ahold of you. Wanda’s hands go to your hips and helps line you up to her cock. You slowly sink down on her. Your wetness combines with Nat’s cum making it easy for Wanda to slide in. “F-Fuck.” You gasp when your ass meets her thighs.
Though Wanda is normally able to maintain control it already starts to falter. The way your walls squeeze her tight, Nat’s desperate tear stained face looking onto the scene. How her hips slightly jerks, desperate for some relief. Wanda can’t contain herself as she starts pulling you up before pulling you back down on her cock. She thrust up to meet you.
You start to help bounce yourself on Wanda’s cock. Breathy moans escaping your lips as she fills you perfectly. Your desperation being sated as your alpha fills you. “Look at that Natty, our omega bouncing on my cock. She’s so desperate to be filled by me.” Her fingers dig into your hips. Nat starts to hump the air looking for some kind of friction, some relief. But she doesn’t find any as her eyes are trained on you. The way your breast bounce with every thrust of Wanda’s hips. How you look so beautiful with your swollen belly, pregnant with their pups. You can see the desperation in her eyes. “Detka, look how pathetic and desperate your alpha is. Her poor cock just wanting to fill you up but instead she gets to try and fuck the air while you ride my sweet cock.”
Your head falls back on Wanda’s shoulder as she thrusts up faster into you. She kisses and sucks reddish purple marks on your skin. Her fingers digging into the soft flesh of your hips. “F-Fuck Wands so-so good.” You stutter out. The faster you bounce the harder Wanda thrust up into you. You’re already so close to cumming and Wanda’s knot hasn’t even formed yet. “Pl-Please.”
“Aww poor omega are you already ready to cum. Hmm you want to show Natty how good I fuck you.” You frantically nod at Wanda’s words. “Go on malyshka cum all over my cock.” With another thrust Wanda hits perfectly inside of you sending you over the edge. You cum coating her cock as your walls squeeze her. Your mouth opens in a silent moan and your legs tremble. But Wanda doesn’t stop there, her thrust never faltering, riding you through your first orgasm and pushing you towards another.
Wanda’s knot finally starts to form from the way your walls suffocate her cock. The only sounds leaving your lips now are whimpers and moans. She is sending you quickly to another orgasm. “Detka look at Natty.” Wanda commands you. You snap your head back up. Your eyes raking over the form of your other alpha. You don’t know how but her cock looks even harder than before. The tip red and precum leaking all the way down her shaft. She continues humping the air wishing that you were on her cock. The tears of desperation are still falling. “Poor little Natty.” Wanda mumbles.
You gasp as a particularly hard thrust from Wanda. Nat watching how Wanda’s cock disappears into you. How her knot is growing and slamming against your entrance. Your legs tremble on either side of Wanda’s. You're both so close.
With another hard thrust Wanda’s knot slips into place. Your walls sucking her in as a low moan escaped her lips. “Fuck, fuck, fuck, take it. Take all my cum mega.” She ruts up into you and sends you over the edge. You cry out as your legs tremble and you cum harder than you think you ever have. Your walls desperately sucking Wanda in and milking her. You grind down as you ride out your high before slumping back into her. She wraps her arms around you and nuzzles your neck. “Good girl.” Wanda mumbles as you both pant hard. You close your eyes, relishing in the moment as you wait for Wanda’s knot to go down.
What you don’t realize is that Wanda has released Nat from her confines; a silent conversation having happened as you try and recover. Nat stalks towards the bed, your eyes snapping open when you feel the bed dip. Your eyes meeting the desperate alpha. Wanda hooks her legs around yours keeping you spread open. Confusion crosses your face until Nat lays down between your legs. You let out a whine. “Sensitive.” But neither alpha listens. They know that if anything becomes too much that you have a safe word.
Nat’s lips wrap around your clit and sucks harshley. You try to close your legs but Wanda uses her to keep them open. You then try to reach down and push Nat away and once again Wanda stops you. You whine out as Nat’s teeth scrape against your bundle of nerves. “Shhh detka let Natty have a turn she was so good. Can you do that for me?” Wanda’s tone is sweet.
Nat swirls her tongue around causing you to buck your hips into her face. The pleasure bordering on pain. Wanda’s knot is still locking you together but that doesn’t stop the alpha. Nat moves her tongue down. Licking up your combined juices that escape. Her tongue starts to swirl around your entrance where you and Wanda are combined. The feeling makes you squirm.
But then Nat does something you didn’t expect. She starts to push her tongue in beside Wanda’s cock. The feeling becomes overwhelming the more she pushes in. You whine as you're somehow able to release one of your hands from Wanda and grip Natasha’s hair. She lets out a moan as you tug, a burning sensation spreads throughout her scalp, but she doesn’t stop pushing her tongue in, the taste of your combined cum has her acting like a starved woman.
You tug her hair harder as you moan loudly. Wanda lets your other hand go as her hands find a place on your breast. She massages them and tweaks your nipples between her fingers. Nat’s hips move against the bed as she tries to get herself off. The friction of the bed and hearing your moans has her on the edge. Her knot growing despite not being inside of you.
Though you're overstimulated you continue to grind into Nat’s face. The both of you are growing close to your release. Nat moans as her hips stutter against the bed. The vibrations send a shock of pleasure through you. Her nose presses perfectly against your clit. With a hard push of her tongue inside of you, your orgasm washes over you. You pull harshly at Nat's hair as your whole body trembles. An even more powerful orgasm shoots through you than before. “Ah-Ahhh.” You cry out your head falling back on Wanda’s shoulder. Your walls pulsing around Wanda’s length. The way your walls squeeze her knot has a few extra ropes of cum coating your insides, an unexpected orgasm for the alpha. Nat feeling you and Wanda cum against her lips has her cumming against the bed. Her hips grinding into the mattress with overwhelming pleasure.
Nat still continues trying to lick you clean as you come down from your high. The pleasure now morphing into pain has you pushing her head away. This time she lets you, leaning her head against your still shaking thigh. She places kisses on the soft flesh. You’re panting harder than before, your body feeling absolutely exhausted.
“Are you both okay?” Wanda asks behind you. One hand gently caressing your stomach the other running her fingers through Nat’s hair soothing her scalp. You let out a hmm along with Nat. “Are you sure? I didn’t take it too far?” You can hear the concern in Wanda’s voice.
You turn your head and kiss Wanda’s cheek. “I’m okay. Albeit a little sore.” You nuzzle her cheek letting her know that everything is fine. That you’re fine.
“Never better.” Nat takes Wanda’s hand in hers and gently kisses it. “That was pretty hot.” Nat’s words has you all laughing. The room grows silent as you all calm down, waiting to finally be able to move again when Wanda’s knot goes down. Nat staying between your legs, her head on your thigh keeping you grounded to both women.
When Wanda’s knot finally goes down she lets herself slip out of your abused hole. Both women are mesmerized as your combined cums leak out. It takes everything in them not to fill you up again but they know they need to let you rest.
“Come on let’s get you two cleaned up.” Wanda hums. A perfect ending to a perfect night.

Natasha backing you against a wall. It’s hard not to get distracted by her arms as they cage you in. Her breath is got against your neck when she asks to fuck you right there.
Training just ended and you’re in the middle of the hallway. But her teeth scrape that sensitive spot on your neck and you’re giving in, just like she knew you would.
Natasha has three fingers buried inside you when Wanda stumbles upon you both. She stares with wide eyes and flushed cheeks. It doesn’t even occur to her to interrupt, or leave. She’s too mesmerised by the muscles in Natasha’s back moving as she slams into you. She’s just as mesmerised by the sounds you make. She never wants you to stop.
A hand sneaks under the waistband of her workout shorts.

The Spiders Sister - Chapter 3
Summary: Reader meets the team.
Tw: mentions of sickness, teasing
Words: 2.8K
A/n: Thanks for all the support this series has been getting :) If anyone has any suggestions for things that could happen in this series lemme know and I’ll see what I think. No smut though I don’t write that here.
The next day you woke to knocking on the bedroom door. Sitting up in bed you quietly called for whoever it was to enter.
A moment later Wanda poked her head through the door. Seeing you awake or at least semi-awake she slipped through the small space she had created.
“Good morning.” She smiled coming to sit beside you on the bed. “Did you sleep well?” She asked pressed her hand to your forehead.
“Mmm.” You hummed still half asleep.
“You don’t feel warm anymore.” She smiled at this achievement as if she was proud of you. “How are you feeling today?” She asked moving her hands to rest in her lap again.
“Tired, but that’s probably because I just woke up.” You smiled.
“Nat sent me to wake you up. She wanted to know if your well enough to meet the others today.” Wanda explained looking slightly guilty.
“I mean, I’m game if you are. Where’s Nat?” You asked coving a yawn.
“Nat’s training with steve. And not so fast, I want to know more about how you're feeling. No more headache? Cough? Wheezing? Give me something.” She grinned.
“My headaches gone, no more cough, maybe a slight wheeze I’m not too sure.” You begun and Wanda’s brow furrowed slightly at the mention of your wheezing. “I’m like ninety-nine percent sure my fever is gone, and I feel pretty good all things aside.” You finished.
“That’s good. Maybe keep your inhaler on you today just in case. And after the meeting I’ll see if I can get Bruce to give us a few spares, just in case.” Wanda said softly.
“You really don’t have to.” You said shyly toying with a loose thread on the sheets.
“Its no problem. I would make me feel better. Breathing is important.” Wanda teased easing your concerns.
“So, when’s the meeting?” You asked.
“Well, I think Nat wanted to do it as soon as possible. Like straight after training and then I’m going to make you some pancakes for brunch.” Wanda said poking your side. “But for now, hop up, get dressed and I’ll be back soon to show you where the meeting room is.” Wanda said, standing up and heading for the door.
Once wanda had left, probably to go and find Nat to call the meeting, you crawled out of bed. Rifling through your backpack you changed out your sleepshirt and shorts for a pair of black track pants and a pale-yellow t-shirt. Throwing on some goofy socks and lacing up your black converse high tops you braided your hair sat in front of the mirror and threw on some deodorant.
Once you were ready and had been to the bathroom to wash your face and go through your morning routine, you sat at peters desk.
Picking up your backpack you went through it until finding what you were looking for.
Pulling out the black sketchbook you opened it to a fresh page and began mindlessly doodling things you could see around peters room and the cityscape beyond the open curtains.
Just as you were getting into the details of the New York skyline you heard a knock on the door.
Lowering your pencil, you sat a little straighter.
“Come in.” You called your voice sounding better than it had in days. And surprisingly good for someone who had spent hours coughing and wheezing for days on end.
Wanda opened the door and smiled seeing you up and about for the first time.
“You look much better.” She commented coming to stand by your shoulder. “Wow, you’re an amazing artist.” She smiled looking at your drawings.
“Oh, um … thanks.” You smiled still a little awkward when it came to compliments. “So, what’s the news?” You asked.
“Hmm? Oh, yes.” Wanda said looking up from where she had been inspecting your sketchbook. “Nat called Fury. He’s kinda the boss. He’s given the go ahead if steve and tony sign off on it. Nat then called a meeting and I’m going to bring you to the room where you're going to meet the team.” She explained.
“I have two questions.” You said.
“Shoot.” Wanda said pulling you up and gesturing to follow her out the door.
“One, is peter going to be at this meeting?” You asked as Wanda lead you down some seemingly endless corridors.
“Yes.” Wanda nodded, pressing the button to call the lift.
“And two, this Fury guy said yes? Just like that?” You asked sounding slightly confused.
“Yes and no.” Wanda begun, stepping onto the lift with you beside her. “Nat asked Jarvis, Tony’s AI assistant to pull up all CCTV footage of spider-man and separate footage based on bio-signatures. So, she could differentiate between when it was peter and when it was you in the suit. She sent Fury the files and after he reviewed them, he approved you a place on the team. If you want it and the others agree.” Wanda explained.
“Okay.” You said slowly. “Seems like a good plan.” You smiled.
And the lift dinged softly as it slowed to a stop.
“This is us.” Wanda said and you followed her out of the open doors. Walking beside her down a hallway she stopped in front of a door and paused to look at you. “You ready?” She asked, her hand on the door handle.
“Yep.” You nodded swollowing down your nerves. “Ready as I’ll even be.”
“You’ll be great. Just be yourself and they’ll love you.” Wanda said and pushed the door open.
Nat was stood at the head of the table, a screen behind her queued up with spider-man videos. She smiled at you and wanda as the rest of the people turned to face you.
Seeing the people you had only ever seen on Tv in real life was a little overwhelming at first but wanda squeezed your hand and lead you into the room to stand at the front with her and Nat.
Peter smiled at you from where he was sat beside Tony. Looking proud of you just for standing in front of the avengers.
You stood there silent for a second simply making eye contact with your shoes before Natasha spoke up.
“This is Y/n.” Nat begun, and you gave a small half wave with an awkward smile. Tony was staring you down with an unreadable expression. He looked like he was analysing your face mentally. Most likely already having connected you to Peter.
“Hi I’m Y/n Parker.” You said lifting your eyes to meet a few smiling faces around the room a fair few of them sporting shocked looks.
“Parker?” Tony echoed sounding smaller than you had ever heard from his times on Tv.
“Y/n Parker is Peters sister.” Wanda explained.
“Kid?” Tony looked hurt. “Why didn’t you tell me there were two of you?” He asked looking sad.
Peter looked slightly sick at the open disappointment his mentor was showing right now and so you stepped in before peter had a panic attack.
“Mr Stark, Sir, it was my decision to keep myself out of the spotlight. And to do that I needed to maintain a low profile. Which is harder to do when the avengers know of your existence. No offence.” You explained. And the team exchanged a few glances as they noted how you had come to Peter’s aid almost immediately.
“That’s alright, I’m sure Pete will open up now you’re here.” Tony said with a grin as he ruffled Peters hair, “Won’t-cha kiddo?” He asked with his usual charismatic charm and Peter gave a small nod and smile while he ducked his head not liking the attention.
“So, anyone have anymore questions?” You asked drawing the attention off of Peter once more much to your brothers' relief.
Looking away from the small smile he sent you as thanks you laughed, seeing every hand in the room up with a question for you, bar Nat, Peter and Wanda of course.
You looked to your left and nodded to Steve.
“Hi, nice to meet you kid.” Steve said. “I have a question though, if Peter’s identity is secret, why did you need to stay away from us?” He asked looking confused, and his statement drew a few nods around the room.
“If Tony scares you honey, I can assure you that the man would forget his own shoes without me.” Someone you recognised as Pepper Potts said with a smile causing Tony to grumble to himself. How Nat had managed to wrangle the CEO of Stark industries into this meeting you didn’t know.
Little did you know that all it took was ‘There’s something you should know, it has to do with Peter’ and she was on her way.
“Actually,” Wanda said drawing the gaze of the room to her, “This should explain it. Jarvis play the video.” She said and the lights dimmed as the Tv showed a compilation of some of your best moves in the spider-suit.
When the video ended the lights retuned to their normal brightness and everyone still looked confused.
“How exactly does a compilation of Peter doing tricks explain that?” Bruce asked.
“Um…” You said looking slightly nervous. “That was me.” You said in a small voice and the room was silent for a second.
“Sick moves kid. Peter your sister’s awesome.” Sam said and a few people laughed at his perfect comedic timing.
“Prove it.” Tony said and you paled slightly.
“Tony.” Pepper said placing her hand on his arm and shooting him a look.
“No, its ok pepper.” Nat said. “Jarvis?” Nat called to the ceiling. “Was that peter in the suit for those videos?” She asked.
“The height and weight as well as body stature and proportions do not match Master Parker.” Jarvis said.
“Ok,” Nat continued, “Who do those body descriptors match in this room?” She asked.
“The person in the suit does match the body of Miss Parker.” Jarvis said and Tony frowned.
“Do the sticky thing.” Bucky called drawing a few smiles. You rolled your eyes and put a hand up, splaying your fingers before jumping in the air and touching the ceiling where you stayed stuck.
“Crawl around.” Sam said and you glared at his heckling.
“No.” You said and you saw Peter doing his puppy eyes at you. “Fine.” You sighed.
Jumping up you did a flip and stuck your legs out, now standing on the ceiling upside down and making eye contact with Sam before looking to Bucky.
“Better?” You asked sarcastically.
“Much.” Sam grinned and you rolled your eyes again.
“Ok. Get down Y/n.” Nat said sounding part annoyed part amused at the display.
“Yes ma’am.” You said before detaching from the roof and doing a flip to landing back where you were before.
“Show off.” Peter murmured under his breath and you huffed a small laugh as his ears went red, not having expected you to hear him. Dumb super-hearing.
“Well, now we’re done with the party tricks. What are we thinking?” You asked brushing off invisible dirt from your clothes.
“Well…” Tony said. “I think its time you got your own suit.” He grinned and you smiled back. “What colours do you want kiddo?” He asked.
“Um… maybe something like purple, white and red?” You said and he nodded already sketching down ideas on a pad of paper pepper had brought with her from a meeting.
“You’re also getting an AI.” Tony added and you looked a peter who simply smiled proudly of you.
“Well, if that’s everything Y/n’s also gonna need a room.” Wanda said and Tony nodded.
“There’s a spare room on Natasha and Wanda’s floor if you want to move in with the girls. Do I need to send some movers to grab your things?” Tony asked and you looked at your shoes and shook your head.
“Not much to move.” You mumbled.
“Y/n’s apartment was taken out in the last battle. She’s been hiding out in Peter’s room for now. That’s how we met actually.” Natasha said shooting you a reassuring smile.
“Well, it sounds like I’m going to be funding yet another shopping trip.” Tony sighed and Wanda grinned at you mischievously.
“We’ll make it a girl's day.” Wanda said shooting a look at pepper.
“I’d love to.” Pepper agreed and Nat clapped her hands together.
“Alright then.” The assassin said. “I should probably tell Fury we have another spider on the team.” Nat grinned and you smiled at her.
“Great, now we have three spiders.” Tony said rolling his eyes and ducking as Pepper aimed a pretty good swing to the back of his head.
“Knock it off Tony, don’t act like you're not secretly overjoyed to have another Parker around.” Pepper said.
“Just wondering,” Bruce said looking mildly nervous as the room turned to look at him.
“Yes?” You prompted him to continue.
“Are you…” He begun before pausing, “I guess theres no real nice way to put it.” Bruce said and Tony jumped in.
“I think Brucie-bear wants to know if you come with the Parker Brain Package.” Tony said and Pepper glared at him.
“Tony.” She warned, glaring at him while you cleared your throat.
“If you’re asking about how smart I am, let’s just say I designed the original prototype for the web-shooters and chemical makeup of the fluid.” You said and Tony nodded seemingly satisfied with that small tidbit of information for now.
“Well, if nobody had anything else to say, Wanda and I are going to take Y/n for a tour of the compound.” Nat said before turning to look at Clint. “And you, have to make dinner. You lost our bet.” Nat said and then dragged you and Wanda out of the room by your sleeves.
After a very long and very comprehensive tour by Natasha and Wanda, you were shown back to the communal kitchen where most of the team ate together when they weren’t on missions.
You walked into the dining room attached to the kitchen to be hit with the smell of burnt food pungent in the air.
You looked at Nat confused, and she grinned as she heard cursing coming from the kitchen. Wanda looked like she was itching to go help but sad she pulled away Nat grabbed her sleeve at the very last second to hold her back.
“Can someone explain whats going on for me?” You asked.
“Well, Clint and Natasha can’t cook if their lives depended on it.” Wanda begun, only to shush Nat when she went to speak up. “So naturally they made a bet, loser had to cook the team dinner, naturally Clint lost so Nat is enjoying his public humiliation. And I normally cook if we aren’t getting takeout so it's causing me pain to hear whats going on in there.”
“Oh, calm down. Clints not blowing anything up.” Nat said rolling her eyes as Wanda shot her a look. “Ok that was one time.” Nat amended.
Not twenty minutes later you were sat at a table with the avengers with a plate of very burnt stake and watery mash potatoes.
“What is it?” Tony asked poking his steak.
Clint grinned. “A masterpiece.” He said.
“More like a mistake.” Nat muttered judging her steak while poking it with her knife as if she was expecting it to start moving of its own accord.
“I say we have newbie try it.” Tony posed and you rolled your eyes.
Cutting off a piece of the very tough steak with your knife you raised it to your lips and put it in your mouth.
It was tough and kind of disgusting. But you smiled anyway.
Finding the meat tougher than you had been expecting, you made the switch as you called you fangs up. Your canines sharpened as you chewed managing to decimate the meat. Swallowing you looked at Clint.
“Not the worst thing I’ve every eaten.” You said with a smirk and Tony who had been watching you closely squeaked.
“Jeez kid you didn’t tell me your sister was a vampire.” Tony said turning to Peter.
By this point most of they eyes were on you, so you hid your teeth and retracted the fangs out of embarrassment.
“She’s not. It’s a spider thing she got.” Peter said coming yo your defence.
“Either way her new name is fangs.” Tony said with a grin.
This time you glared at him.
“For the record i think they’re awesome.” Wanda said sensing your embarrassment.
“Seconded.” Nat said her spy training honing in on your body language to see you were insecure about it.
“I gotta admit it’s a cool trick doll.” Bucky said.
“Pretty neat.” Steve agreed with a smile.
“Badass.” Sam nodded flicking a still frozen pea at Bucky. “Alright, now that y/n probably has food poisoning, who wants pizza?” Nat asked with a grin. Cheers came from all sides of the table as Clint slumped dejectedly in his seat.

Across the Natashaverse
Summary: Through a small accident, you end up in another universe. What happens when you find out that your relationship with Natasha is very different here?
Natasha Romanoff x F!R
Life is good.
No missions for the week, done with training and fresh off the shower, you walk down the halls of the Compound.
“Someone’s in a good mood” Wanda comments when you join her at the kitchen. “Did Natasha change her mind about the date?”
Your smile falls immediately and her eyes widen.
“Shoot, I’m sorry”
“Nah, it’s fine” you steal a cookie from her plate and shrug your shoulders. “It was two weeks ago. She doesn’t see me that way, I get it”
“I don’t think it’s that” Wanda insists and you smile.
“You’re a hopeless romantic, Maximoff” you lean forward and place a kiss on the top of her head. The brunette chuckles, going back to the book she was reading.
As you walk to your room, you try not to think of Natasha. But it’s a small world, and she’s on her way to the gym, America Chavez right behind her.
“I’m on training duty” the redhead explains. “Wanna join us?”
“I have so much paperwork” you lie, because you’re very tired and have been looking forward to a nap. “Kick some butt, America”
“I’ll try” she doesn’t sound convinced at all.
Natasha smiles at you, waiting for your signature wink that always gets her heart racing.
But there’s not even a look back as you go to your room.
She really screwed up this time.
—
You weren’t exactly lying about the paperwork, and you work on it for half an hour to feel like you’re doing something productive with your day.
With a yawn, you stand up from the desk in your room and walk towards the bed. As you’re about to plop down, there’s a shift in the room and you land on your ass, the bed on the other side of the wall.
“What the fuck?” you say, looking around.
The room looks different. It’s the same size, but none of your stuff is there. Same thing with the hallways. It’s the Compound, but at the same time… it’s not. You walk out of the room, this time on spy mode, ready to take down the imminent threat.
“Y/N?” Natasha calls behind you and you rush to her side.
“Nat, hey. There’s something wrong. Stay close” you take her hand, and she stops you with a pull.
“I’ll say”
“Huh?” you turn, only to find her face inches away from yours.
“Where’s your wedding ring?”
“My… what?” you look down at your hands, confused. Natasha moves her face closer and you can’t focus on anything else.
“Oh, I see. Are you still angry about the other day? Because I can totally make it up to you, detka” Natasha whispers seductively against your lips, leaving a trail of kisses all the way to the shell of your ear.
“Nat.. uh… I think…”
“Use your words, pretty girl” she smiles, her hand going up your shirt to caress the skin.
And suddenly, she looks down, frowning.
“Where’s your scar?”
“I don’t have a…”
Natasha turns into a whole different person, placing you in a chokehold and holding both your arms down.
“Who are you? Are you a skrull?”
“I don’t know what that is” you say, gasping for air. “Wait, are they the ones Carol works with?”
“Who is Carol?”
“Captain Marvel”
“You mean Maria Rambeau”
“Maria is Captain Marvel?” you say, finally piecing together what’s happening. When your eyes lock with Natasha’s, you speak at the same time.
“You’re from another world”
“I’m from another world”
Even if she doesn’t let go, her grip on you losens enough for you to breathe. She’s about to ask something else when a little girl walks up and pulls your hand, getting your attention.
“Mama, what are you and Mommy doing?”
—
“Walk me through what happened”
“Nothing happened! I was doing paperwork in my room and then I was here” you say for the tenth time.
“How about before?” Natasha asks, turning right. Her idea was to drive you straight to Wong, as a multiverse travel is more of his specialty.
“I ran into you. I mean, not you. My Natasha. Wait, not my. She’s not mine” you mumble, massaging your temples. “Please tell me there’s ibuprofen in this world”
“Relax” she reaches forward, placing a hand on your thigh and you swear you’ll combust. “I get the idea. Now tell me what happened”
“We just ran into the hallway. Made some small talk. And then I went to my room”
“Just small talk?” Natasha smirks. “Not some kisses? A quickie against the wall? An earth shattering, universe transcending orgasm?”
You try to open the door and jump out of the moving car but it’s locked.
“It’s not… we’re not a thing. Just friends” you say, flustered.
“Really?” Natasha finally turns to you, as she parks outside of the not so secret lair at Bleecker street.
“Wait. It was America Chavez” you remember, facepalming. Of course. “Natasha was training her. Maybe she created a portal by accident”
“And now my wife is in another universe where you’re too chicken to ask me out. Can’t imagine that will go well for her”
“Hey, it’s not like that” you snap, embarrassed. Natasha turns to you, ready to speak back, as usual. Because she’s so smart and she thinks she knows everything. “Whatever. Let’s just get this shit fixed, I don’t wanna be here”
Walking past her, you stand before the big doors, that open up without knocking
“Welcome” the man says. “I take it you’re the little glitch in our universe”
“Yes, I am. Can you fix it?”
“No. But America can. She has been at Kamar-Taj for a year now. Her powers are more developed. It should be an interesting test for her”
“Ok, so what are we waiting for?”
“There have been some security concerns lately” Natasha explains, coming closer. “Wong has to notify their council to follow protocol”
“I’ll come find you tomorrow. Remember, the longer you stay here, the bigger the threat for both worlds”
“Yes, fine. See you tomorrow” you say, looking at your feet as you leave the building. Going down the steps, you can hear Natasha calling after you. “I’m walking back to the Compound. It’s the same route. I can wait for Wong there”
“We don’t live in the Compound” Natasha explains, her voice gentle. She waits until you turn back and searches your eyes. “Look, I’m sorry about what I said before. Come with me. I’ll feel better if I know you’re safe with us”
There’s a pause, and she waits patiently while you look around. But Natasha’s presence is like a magnet, and inevitably, your eyes come back to her beautiful features.
“What’s so funny?” she says when you chuckle.
“You do the same thing. Tilt your head to the side, purse your lips… it’s cute. In every universe”
“Sweet talker. Come on. Let’s go” she offers her hand and you accept it.
It takes an enormous amount of effort to remind yourself this isn’t the Natasha you know. And that you’re not the one she loves.
You’re so caught up in these thoughts you don’t notice when she pulls over.
“Ice cream always cheers you up” she explains, getting out of the car.
“Yeah, I guess we’re not that different”
She smiles, holding the door open for you. Well, at least the flavors are the same in this universe.
“I’ll have the peanut butter with chocolate chips”
“You’re allergic” Natasha says.
“I’m not”
“You’re not?” she repeats, while the man behind the counter looks at both of you, confused.
“Nope”
Once that’s settled, you get your ice cream cones and leave the store.
“Why are you staring?” you say, mouth full of ice cream.
“I’m just waiting for the hives and the runny nose”
“I’m not allergic” you insist, showing your arms, skin completely normal.
“Fine” she concedes, shrugging her shoulders. You keep eating in silence, until she turns back. “Wanna tell me why you got so upset?”
“Because. I did ask you… her out. She said no. I wasn’t a chicken; I gave her flowers and put myself out there. But I’m obviously the problem, because in this universe, everything works out to the point of you two getting married and having a daughter”
You take a seat in a nearby bench, feeling defeated. What a cruel thing, to see the life you could have had.
“Maybe she’s not ready. I was terrified when we started dating. Thought I’d screw it up because I knew nothing of love”
That’s what Wanda probably meant earlier. It’s a possibility that crossed your mind as well, but whatever the reason, Natasha had declined the date (looking very apologetic, you might add) and you were going to respect that choice.
“Or maybe she just doesn’t want me. And that’s ok. Because no matter what happens, I love my Natasha. And I’ll always want her to be happy”
Silence settles after you say that, but Natasha looks back at you, smiling.
“You’re very noble. It’s nice to see some things are the same across worlds”
“It’s nice to know there’s a version of me that makes a version of her happy”
Natasha smiles and nods.
“Let’s get home. Anya is waiting for us”
—
“Home sweet home” Natasha says, opening the door for you. It’s a beautiful townhouse, with lots of space in the backyard. All the walls are covered in pictures, and you can’t help but stare at all the memories that belong to a different version of you.
They seem like a happy family.
“Mommy” Anya says, and it takes a second to remember that she’s talking to you.
“Hey, sweetheart” you don’t hesitate to carry her as she comes running towards you. Natasha is keeping a watchful eye on you. “What is that?”
“That’s my Miffy, silly” she says and you bounce her in your arms, while she shows you her plushie.
Yelena joins you and you can’t help but stare. Her hair is black, short and she has bangs. There are also a couple of piercings in her nose and eyebrows.
“Did you cut your hair? Looks nice” she comments, picking up her stuff and getting ready to go. You simply nod and smile. “Gotta go, see you tomorrow for dinner with Kate, ok?”
Natasha’s sisters kisses everyone goodbye, including you and then bolts out the door.
“Baby, did you bath yet?” Natasha says, approaching Anya. The girl hides her face in the crook of your neck.
“I don’t wanna”
“You’re stinky” Natasha accuses, tickling the girl; Anya gives up and goes from your arms to the redhead’s. “Come on, and then I’ll start dinner”
“I can take care of that” you offer and Natasha’s eyes widen. Anya uses Natasha’s hair as a curtain, and thinks you can’t hear what she says.
“I don’t want Mommy to cook”
“What? Why?”
“You can’t cook” Natasha says. Well, that’s just bullshit. In your world, Natasha’s always the first in line to get a good serving of whatever it is you do.
“Go, I got this” you insist when Natasha puts Anya down. The redhead looks back several times, unsure. My God, how bad could the other you be in this world to get this reaction?
Luckily, once they are done with the bath, Anya comes back, pulling her mother and commenting that the smell is incredible.
“Mommy didn’t burn the kitchen!”
“Has that actually happened?” you mumble to Natasha and she nods. “Yikes”
The redhead laughs, and nudges your shoulder with hers.
“This is really good” she admits after trying your chicken pasta bake.
“Thinking about keeping me?”
“Maybe” she jokes. “Or bring you over when I don’t feel like cooking”
Of course, Anya doesn’t understand what you’re talking about. She tells you about her day with aunt Yelena and all you have to do is listen and nod.
“I’ll do the dishes” you offer after you finish.
“Come say goodnight to her”
“Will do”
While you clean, you try not to think about what life will be like tomorrow, when you go back to a world where things are different.
“She fell asleep in the middle of a Clifford story” Natasha comes back after a few minutes. “It’s probably because she ate so much”
“I’ll leave the recipe for you” you promise. “Mind if I crash in the couch?”
“Right” the redhead smiles, and you can tell she’s nervous by the way she fidgets with her hands. You reach forward, taking them in yours.
“What’s wrong?”
“I can’t really sleep without… her”
“I can stay on the bedroom floor”
“I couldn’t possibly ask you to”
“You’re not asking. I’m offering” you assure her.
By the time you’re done with cleaning the kitchen, there’s an inflatable mattress, pillows and a blanket.
“Let me know if you’re comfortable” Natasha asks, turning off the bedroom lights.
“Or what? You’ll let me sleep cuddled up? It wouldn’t be good for the space and time continuum that I kick my own butt”
“I actually think she’d find it funny” Natasha says, and you let her voice lull you in the dark. “She’s probably teasing your Natasha endlessly, trying to get her to admit some sort of feelings for you”
“She has a death wish” you groan, admittedly forgetting that the Natasha you know is having a less than pleasant time right now.
“What is she like?” Natasha says after a few moments of silence.
“She’s the smartest person in any room. Hates cooking and doing dishes. Always looking out for others, always taking on the most missions. She’s really funny too. Sometimes, Bucky will ask anyone for movie recs and Natasha will give a completely made up title. So, Barnes will go crazy looking around for it”
“Oh, I’m so doing that next time” you both laugh.
“Great ass too” you say after a beat and a pillow is thrown across the room and falls right in your face. “Hey!”
“Go to sleep”
—
Next morning, you figure it’s only fair to cook some breakfast before Wong calls you over.
Which, he does, sooner than expected.
Anya is barely finished with breakfast, when Natasha comes down the stairs and looks at you.
“It’s time”
Feeling nervous, and a bit sad, you nod. Wanda shows up a few minutes later. To your shock, in this world, she’s pregnant.
“Thank you for taking care of her, it really won’t take long” Natasha says as soon as she steps inside.
The brunette eyes you curiously, and you can tell by her magic that she knows this isn’t your world.
“You know I’m always happy to”
At the door, Natasha picks up Anya and kisses her everywhere she can. The girl giggles once her mother places her down.
“Hey, bug” you kneel on the floor. “Be good. Your moms will be back soon, ok?”
“Ok, mommy. See you soon”
“Bye, Anya” you say, letting her hug you. Once you’re out the door, Natasha reaches for your hand, and squeezes lightly.
The ride to Bleeker street is silent. Wong seems pleased when he sees you.
“Follow me, ladies” he asks, opening up a portal to Kamar Taj. You’d only been there once; the size of the place always makes you feel like you’re in another planet.
A much older version of America greets you -she’s probably in her twenties- and takes your hand for a second, closing her eyes.
“Ready to go home?” she asks.
“Wait!” Natasha calls behind you and you turn, eyes wide. To your surprise, the woman hugs you, and you wrap her in your arms as well. When she pulls away, she places a small kiss on your cheek. “Anyone would be lucky to have you. She’s an idiot if she can’t see that”
“Thanks, Nat. Not about the idiot part. Be kind to every version of yourself, yes?”
“Fine” she rolls her eyes, squeezing your hand one last time.
You’re about to step into the portal when you turn to America.
“This won’t send me into the middle of a busy road or like, free falling to my death, right?”
“Most likely not” she promises.
You don’t like the sound of that.
“Ok, but on a scale of one to ten…”
“For Agamoto’s sake” Wong sighs behind you, pushing you without warning.
The room is completely upside down and then you land in the middle of the meeting table, the Avengers around you screaming.
“Son of a bitch” Steve says as you roll to the floor, out of air.
“Language” you manage to say. Everyone’s rushing to you. Sam is the first one and he helps you up. They are all talking at the same time, Wanda inspecting the cut on your forehead from falling on the table.
Suddenly, Natasha nudges them aside, wrapping you in her arms.
“Hey, it’s ok. It’s me” you say against her temple.
“We’ll leave you alone. Go to the medbay, though”
“Yes, Cap”
You’re in no hurry, Natasha safely in your arms.
—
“So, what happened while I was gone?” you casually ask as Natasha cleans the cut.
“I almost killed you… her. Twice”
“Sounds like you had fun”
“Not really. She’s a smartass. Can’t cook a damn thing, so I made her a pb&j sandwich”
“Oh, yeah. She’s allergic” you grimace. “Wait, you said you almost killed her twice. If one was with peanut butter…”
“The first thing she did when she came to this world was slap my ass”
“She does have a death wish” you joke, but Natasha doesn’t answer, turning around to put the first aid kit away.
“Is it true?” Natasha asks. You look at her, confused. “Are we married? With a daughter?”
“Oh. Yes, it’s true. They seem to be happy. It was nice”
“Was she better than me?”
“Natasha” you say, forcing her to face you. “I have no doubt in my mind that you’re awesome in every universe. But this version of you is the one I know and love. With your love of spy films, the scar in your belly, and your half smirk when you beat everyone at Uno”
“I am really good at Uno” she agrees and you both laugh.
“Damn right you are”
“I missed you. Too much, to the point where I realise I can’t keep pretending I don’t want this. I’m just scared” she says, holding on to your hands. “Will you help me? Be brave for us”
“There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you, love” you promise, kissing her hand softly. “In this, or any other universe”

A/n: I had started writing a whole different fic and didn't like it for this so I changed it up and wrote this one instead. I hope you like it. I was trying not to cry while writing it.
NO ONE IS PERMITTED TO STEAL, COPY, OR REBLOG MY WORK AS THEIR OWN
Your chest hurts as your mind races with swirling thoughts. You aren’t good enough for them. They deserve so much better than you. No one should have to look after you; they don’t deserve that burden. You, you are the burden in their life. You deserve to be alone, to suffer alone. Not for them to take care of you.
You can’t take the thoughts anymore. That pain that burns deep in your chest making it hard to breathe. You somehow find the energy to get out of bed and make your way to the bathroom. You search looking for the one thing you know will help. It’s the only way to make the pain stop. You sigh when you find it. The small shiny piece of sharp metal. An escape.
You sit on the floor holding the razor in your hand. You hesitate for a moment looking at it in your hand. They will be so disappointed in you if you do it or they will finally realize just how messed up you are and finally leave you. Your mind battles against itself as you stare at the one thing you know can help. But those dark thoughts win out. You know it will be better if you push them away. Making them hate you for just how broken and messed up you are.
With a deep breath the cold metal drags across your skin digging in deep. The thin line turns white before crimson seeps through. Small little bubbles of blood form on the line before they become so big it starts to drip down your arm. The pain from your chest slowly starts to dissipate as you feel the pain from the blade. So you do it again. Another line draws across your skin. You watch the blood dripping down your arm.
The more you cut the more you feel free. It becomes easier to breathe and the pain in your chest is gone. You focus on the pain that makes it all feel better, the blood dripping down calming those thoughts in your mind as it distracts everything.
You’re so distracted by the blood and the shift in your pain that you didn’t hear the door to your bedroom open, but a loud gasp pulls you from your thoughts. Your eyes shift up seeing Wanda her hand slapped over her mouth as she looks down upon you. Tears filling her eyes which only make tears fill yours. Natasha steps in view behind Wanda as she hears her gasp. She holds her breath when her eyes land on you. The tears that shine in your eyes are now escaping, cascading down your cheeks.
“Oh my god detka!” Nat pulls from her shock and jumps into action. She moves past a still very shocked Wanda grabbing a hand towel and crouching down in front of you. She presses the towel to your arm and presses down hard. You can’t help the hiss you let out as the towel makes contact with your torn skin. “I’m sorry.” You sob.
Wanda finally comes back to reality as she quickly moves to sit down beside you. She pulls the rest of your body into hers as Nat keeps holding the towel to your arm trying to get the bleeding to stop. You sob into Wanda’s chest as you continue to repeat I’m sorry over and over again. Wanda just shushed you and kissed your head as she held you close. “You’re ok sweetheart. We got you.” She continues to hold and whisper reassuring words in your ear.
It takes a few minutes before you calm down, but as you do it starts to sink in on what you have done. “You don’t deserve this. I’m not worth it.” You whisper as you slightly pull back from Wanda. She shakes her head. “Moya lyubov' we love you more than anything and we just want to be here for you.” You just look down not wanting to meet her gaze feeling embarrassed. “Detka, do you want to tell us why?” Nat speaks up. You sigh. “It hurt. I just wanted it to stop.” Your voice is low. “What hurt sweetheart?” Wanda asks, wanting you to clarify. “Ev-Everything. My chest hurt and it was so hard to breathe. I just wanted it to stop.” You anxiously chew on your lip waiting for the women to respond.
The room is silent as the women mull over your words. “Why didn’t you call us?” Wanda asks you. You look down not knowing how to answer her. She gently lifts your chin with her finger so that you are looking at her. She has a sad smile on her face and tears shining in her eyes. You pull your thoughts together because they deserve to know. “I didn’t want to bother you. You two deserve to be happy. To not have to worry about me. I’m broken.”
“You’re not broken malyshka. You are so strong and we love you so much. All we want to do is help you.” Nat’s words are soft. You turn to look at her. She wears a soft expression as she looks at you. “We want to spend the rest of our lives with you Y/n. You mean the world to us. I will spend every day for the rest of my life telling you that you are loved and you are worthy of love if that is what it takes.” She continues her hand coming to cup your cheek. Wanda shifts in front of you so that you can look at both of them. “When you are down and feel like the world is caving in on you I will be there to protect you to keep those walls from caving in on you.” Wanda smiles at you. Their words bring a small smile to your face.
Your mind was wrong. They do love you and maybe you do deserve their love. They have been here to catch you every time you fall. You know it won’t always be easy but they will always be there to reassure you. Your mind will play tricks on you but they will show you what's real.
Nat pulls the towel from your arm and sees that the bleeding has mostly stopped. “Let’s get you cleaned up then we can have a movie day in our pajamas.” You nod and smile. Nat lifts you up onto the counter as Wanda goes into the bedroom. Nat grabs the first aid kit from under the bathroom sink and starts to clean up your arm. You grit your teeth as she does. “I’m sorry detka.” She apologizes for causing you any pain. “It’s not your fault Natty.” You tell her knowing that this is all of your own accord.
Wanda wanders back in with a stack of pajamas for all of you to wear as Nat finishes up. She wraps a bandage around your arm then leans in pecking your lips making you giggle. Your giggle is music to their ears glad to see you feeling a bit better. Wanda proceeds to give you a peck too. They then help you get changed before changing themselves. You give Wanda grabby hands as you're still sitting on the counter. She chuckles, moving to pick you up. You wrap your legs tightly around her waist and bury your head in her neck. She carries you into the bedroom with Nat following behind.
Wanda places you on the bed and crawls in next to you. Nat crawls in on the other side of you. They make sure to sandwich you in between them letting you know that they are there for you and they aren’t going anywhere. You cuddle in close to both of them as Nat puts on one of your favorite movies to watch. “Thank you both for everything.” They both smile at you. “We love you Y/n no need to thank us.” Nat tells you. “But I wanted to.” You nuzzle into her a little. “We will always be here for you.” Wanda adds.
You all settle in the bed as the movie plays on the screen in front of you. Your eyes drooping in exhaustion. “It’s ok to sleep detka.” Wanda tells you her fingers gliding through your hair. “Mmm I love you.” You whisper as you finally let your eyes fully close. “We love you too.” Nat kisses your head as she holds onto you tightly. “Sweet dreams sweetheart.” Wanda murmurs against your head.
You know that you will have to have more conversations about what happened today but that will be for later. But right now all you need is their love and comfort. With that you know that you can make it through this. So you finally let yourself drift off to sleep. Feeling all the love that you never thought that you deserved.

Dark au where Natasha takes a deep interest in you. The stalking begins online but quickly evolves to her following you. It doesn’t take her long to know exactly what kind of person you’ll be interested in. She bumps into you, you become fast friends. It’s easy to get you to fall in love with her. She moves you into her home quickly and introduces you to Wanda.
Nothing strikes you as odd. You make a joke about U-haul lesbians and that’s about it.
Wanda is hesitant at first. Natasha is so different around you. Natasha reminds her that the Red Room wiped her personality. Nothing feels natural. She’s whoever she wants, or whatever is most convenient.
Wanda is easily swayed. Natasha tends to have that effect on her. She still keeps her distance from you. She still doesn’t think this is quite right. But it only takes a few days for Wanda to understand where Natasha is coming from. She can barely take her eyes off you. The way you wrap around each other, the way you smile at her. It makes her hands itch.
You make a joke, since Wanda likes to watch so much she may as well stay when you and Natasha get heated. That’s the beginning of the end. Wanda has lost everything she’s ever cared about. She’s not about to lose you too.
It’s not long before you’re discouraged from your job, and then your friends, and then going out all together. They sooth you by insisting they both have to be there when you leave home. But it’s not long before they don’t like that either. It’s so slow you don’t really notice. You’re so happy and grateful to have them no alarms are set off.
One day you blink and realise you haven’t been out in months, you haven’t made a decision in even longer. Natasha is the only one with you that day and she picks up on it quickly. She fucks the thoughts out of you. She reminds you how happy you are. How she and Wanda love you so much and just want you safe. It’s easier to fall back into that docile mindset than realise the magnitude of what’s happened to your life. Natasha is quick to shower you in praise.
Neither she nor Wanda allow you out of their sight for weeks after that. Surrounded by their love, little comments and guiding hands makes it so easy to forget that realisation. What a little less freedom when you have them?

The Spiders Sister - Chapter 1
Summary: Reader gets caught hiding out in the avengers tower. In the end it turns out for the best.
TW: non-sexual nudity, illness, fainting, swearing
Words: 4.1K
A/n: Super long first chapter
маленький паук – Little Spider
It defiantly wasn’t part of your life plan to be living with your bother again in your adulthood.
You had spent an excellent few months on your own having finally moved out of May Parker’s apartment, it had been perfect. Well … as perfect as life could be for a parker.
Then … you guessed it … parker luck struck again. There was a huge fight, one you had been itching to join but your brother, peter parker, had it covered. And since nobody knew that you sometimes wore the spider-man suit when peter wasn’t able to, it would all be over if two Spider-Man’s ended up fighting some of the weird aliens that had invaded New York.
You see, you and your brother had more in common than most siblings did. Peter parker had been bitten by a radioactive spider on a school trip as was known to a few people. But, at the same time, you had been eighteen and chaperoning the field trip.
When peter had snuck off to the side you had gone after him. When he was bitten, so were you.
But for now, you had decided to try and stay away from the superhero lifestyle. But when the itch came, peter lent you his suit so you could scratch it.
You had helped him refine his web-fluid and had your own web shooters as well as one of his old suits just in case. May knew about you and peter after finding out a while ago. However, peter and you had kept everything about your existence from the avengers so you could live a semi-normal life. At least for now.
But the day the avengers were fighting off the aliens, New York had taken some heavy damage. You had been running a small illustration business out of your apartment in queens. Your apartment … which was now levelled in the fight was gone. Along with your business.
Since you had moved out young, May only had one spare bedroom in her apartment which peter was occupying. Leaving the Parker’s with one option.
As peter had a room in the avenger's tower, you could stay there or with aunt may. Peter being Peter didn’t want to ask tony if he could stay in the tower for the unforeseeable future without arousing questions. So, you had been secretly living in the tower for about three days now.
Peter brought you food and had bribed Jarvis to keep your existence a secret. You had his old suit if you wanted to leave the tower, you could swing away instead of walking through the building and getting caught.
It was a pretty solid plan and it had been working pretty well. Until the day you got sick.
Peters' bedroom in the tower was on the floor with the other avengers, meaning you had to be somewhat quiet so Natasha, clint or the others didn’t find you. But it had begun to get colder out, and Peters old suit didn’t have a heater. It had been made before tony had found out spiders, including peter and yourself, can't thermoregulate. And swinging around New York without a heater in the nippy winter air had left you with a pretty nasty cold.
Unlike peter your powers didn’t give you super healing. In fact, your powers differed from peters in more ways than one. For one thing you had small fangs which you could retract, they didn’t do much, but they were cool, and peter was mildly jealous. Another thing was you had taken on aspects of jumping spiders as you could jump higher due to your super strength and some weird spider quality peter lacked.
Like peter the bit had given your excellent eyesight, increased metabolism, a lack of thermoregulation, the weird sticky thing, the spider sense and super strength and the allergy to peppermint. But due to sharing the suit anytime you went out as “Spider-Man” you had to refrain from using your own unique powers, so you didn’t give anything away.
The thermoregulating thing may have finally come back to bite you now that you were in peters old suit. After taking one of his patrols for him so he could finish his assignment and you could get out of his room in the tower, the cold had made you sick. Heres the thing about having a high metabolism when you don’t have an increased healing factor. It went one of two ways. Either you had flash colds which were taken care of quickly and at a much faster rate than the average human, or if it was stronger than your immune system, it was quickly made into a bigger problem than it should have been due to your body processing things faster and speeding up its strength.
Anytime this had happened in the past, due to not being able to go to a regular hospital, you had thanked the gods for May choosing a career in nursing. Though she had been able to treat you superficially with regular medicine and not anything made for super soldiers or spiders as that was a Bruce banner specialty that was unique to the tower's med bay. So, you often just had to ride it out and if things got really bad, peter would try and smuggle you some of his medicine out of the tower for you.
So, this is where you ended up. Curled up in Peters bed in the tower, stifling rough sounding coughs into his pillow and making a mental note to wash his sheets soon. You were doing your best to remain quiet and not alert either of the super spies to your presence or any of the other avengers. You thanked Thor that only you and peter had super hearing which meant you could usually tell if someone was in the halls.
Feeling miserable you buried yourself further into the sheets and shivered, it was so cold but in reality, you probably had a high fever. Your lungs let out a wheezing noise whenever you exhaled, and you were beginning to think maybe your asthma was back. Unlike peter you had not been so lucky as to have had it cured by the bite.
Your asthma puffer was one of the few things that survived your apartment being destroyed. As you laid in bed feeling awful you thought back to that day.
You thanked the gods you had been out at the time. You had gone to a coffee shop downtown with your sketchbook, laptop and usual things you took out, including a range of art supplies and of course your emergency puffer which peter had managed to smuggle out which had doses that worked with your metabolism.
You were broken from your daydreams as another harsh coughing fit wracked your body. From what you could hear nobody was in the halls, but you did your best to keep quiet regardless. The wheezing that trailed after each breath was getting worse and your lungs were feeling tight.
You had been trying to use the puffer sparingly so it didn’t run out because you didn’t know if and or when peter could get you another. But as drawing breath grew harder you made the executive call to use it. You rolled over in the bed and threw an arm down to fish around for your red backpack. Finding it you fiddled with the zip before your fingers wrapped around the cool plastic of the device. Tony being tony had insisted it have a Spiderman case thinking it was peters which ended up being rather ironic as it was fitting for you too.
You tried fruitlessly one last time to draw breath before achieving nothing but a crackling wheeze. Screw it. You uncapped the red lid and held it to your lips, propping yourself up on an elbow in an attempt to sit u straight to take it.
You exhaled and inhaled repeating it once more before drawing in a lungful of the super-medicine. Almost straight away you began to feel better. Your fast metabolism speeding up the medicines process.
Feeling like you could breathe again you replaced the cap and put it on the nightstand before curling up in the sheets again feeling cold still but also slightly damp from the thin layer of sweat that had been forming all morning.
You were dressed in spider-man pjs which had a thin t-shirt and long pants. You had considered getting up to grab one of peters hoodies to get warm or another blanket but the idea of standing up made your head spin.
You nestled back into the sheets and let your eyes fall shut despite it being almost midday. The curtains were drawn and so it didn’t bother you too much. You began to drift off into a semi-peaceful sleep broken by harsh coughing fits which were becoming harder to stifle in your half asleep and fevered state.
Meanwhile the avengers had just finished their morning training session, one which Peter had joined for once. Peter being Peter had barely broken a sweat and as a result had opted to hang out on the communal floor while everyone went o freshen up.
Stark had designed the tower well. With Peter’s bedroom being on the same floor as Natasha’s who was rather protective of her younger spider counterpart as well as Wanda’s, Yelena’s, Kate’s and a few spares. The rest of the avengers were a floor above.
At first peter had been a bit miffed about being on a floor of just girls but he ended up liking it a lot. And he had a second bedroom in the master suite with tony and Pepper which he proffered anyway. The one on the avenger's floor was more for if Tony and Pepper were away, and he wanted to be around the others.
Natasha was headed for her room after waving goodbye to peter who had settled down to watch more star-wars, when she paused in the hallway.
Retracing her steps she found herself stood outside peters bedroom door. Frowning she pressed an ear to the door and froze. Someone was inside and coughing. Knowing it wasn’t peter, nat carefully twisted the door handle.
Peter being peter had prepared for almost anything. As soon as Natasha had set foot inside peters room Jarvis had alerted peter of her presence.
Meanwhile Natasha peered into the dimly lit room. The lump in the bed was wriggling around and coughing. Nat was on high alert by now. She realised this person was ill but how had they managed to get in without Jarvis knowing? And why were they in peters bed?
She crossed the threshold and walked over to the bed. Taking note of the backpack on the floor and puffer on the bedside table as well as your spider-man pjs which had been a gag gift from Peter last Christmas.
Nat stood and observed for a second. Looking down at your flushed face which was burning with fever and the harsh coughs that were wracking your weak form.
Nat watched helplessly for a second unsure of how to deal with a sick intruder.
She hesitated before extending a hand to your forehead and feeling a very high fever. She sucked a breath. Despite being an intruder she had some ideas as to why you may have been here. Your likeness to peter wasn’t hard to spot. Yet. She was unsure.
Peeling of the blankets to get a better look at you, as she did you made a small noise of discontent and curled into a shaking ball still fever addled and half asleep.
Before she could continue the door opened and peter looked in.
“Uhh M-Ms Romanoff…” Peter said looking guilty as he stepped in and closed the door again.
“Peter, do you know who this is?” Natasha asked getting straight to the point. Peter hesitated and rubbed the back of his neck.
“Y-yes.” He said looking at your sick form with a frown.
“Peter.” She said crossing her arms. “Care to share whats going on?” Nat said as she headed for Peter’s bathroom.
“Um… She … she’s,, my sister.” Peter said unsurely. Natasha returned after a second and nodded. Now holding the first aid kit from peters bathroom in her arms.
“Anything else i should know?” She asked walking over to the bed and sitting down to rifle through the first aid kit.
“Petey?” You mumbled hearing his voice.
Peter seemed to break out of his trance and came to your side. “I’m here Y/n.” He said.
“‘S cold.” You mumbled making peter frown.
“Actually, I think she has a fever.” Nat said as she found what she was looking for, pulling out a thermometer from the kit.
Nat gently placed the thermometer under your tongue and turned to look at peter.
“Pete, you’re not in trouble but i need some more information.” Natasha said.
“This is Y/n. She’s, my sister. Her apartment was levelled in the last attack and so she’s been staying here ever since. She’s not a threat I promise.” Peter said almost tripping over his words in order to explain.
Before Nat could respond the thermometer beeped and she removed it to look at the small screen, drawing another round of coughs from you. Natasha rubbed your back with one hand while frowning at the screen.
“Peter… she should be dead. This says 106. There’s more isn’t there.” Nat said with some urgency as she began peeling the rest of the blankets off you in an attempt to cool you down.
“Ahh … yes. She had powers. Like mine. She … she wears the suit sometimes.” Peter said standing nearby and watching with a worried expression.
“Ok. So, she has spider powers? High metabolism, super strength, etc.” Nat said and Peter nodded. “Why hasn’t her healing fixed this?” Nat said feeling your forehead again.
“She doesn’t have it. Her powers differ slightly.” Peter explained as Nat cursed softly in Russian.
“Her fever’s still rising.” Nat said making a decision. “We need to cool her down fast before she gets too hot for her own good. Jarvis?” Natasha said and peter looked panicked for a second worried about more people finding out about you.
“Ms Romanoff-“ he started.
“Pete, we need to cool her down stat. I need some help.” She said and peter nodded still looking nervous. “Jarvis call wanda to Peter’s bedroom.” Nat said and peter relaxed slightly. Wanda was ok. She would be good for the situation.
“What are you going to do?” Peter asked.
“She needs a bath and I doubt you want to do that.” She said with a small smirk and Peter flushed for a second.
“Defiantly not.” He said shaking his head.
“Is there someone we can call? Someone who she’d be ok with dressing her once we cool her down. She may be sick but i don’t want to invade her privacy.” Nat said as she scooped you up from the bed and into her lap while they waited for wanda to arrive. You cough harshly again and wheezed making nat frown and look to peter.
“Asthma.” He said.
“Runs in the family huh?” She joked reaching over for the puffer on the bedside table.
“Uh… about that.” Peter said looking guilty. “Mine was cured by the bite. I need the puffers for her.” He said looking sheepish. Expecting Nat to be mad she grinned.
“You’re a good brother.” She said as she uncapped the device and pressed it to your lips.
“Exhale.” She instructed and by some small miracle you complied. When you went to inhale, she administered the medicine and told you to hold.
Recapping the device, she rubbed a hand up and down your arm. “Good job sweetie.” She said and felt you relax into her arms some more as you let out a breath.
The two sat in silence for another second before the door opened again and wanda slipped inside.
She was freshly showered, her hair damp and she smelt like jasmine and honey. She was dressed in a simple faded black t-shirt and grey track pants.
“Whats-“ she began before pausing, her eyes caught on you laid in Natashas lap half asleep.
“Wanda,” Nat said. “Meet Y/n. Peter’s older sister.” She said.
“Okay…” Wanda said looking lost before her expression morphed to concern as you coughed. “Is she ok?” Wanda asked.
“No. That’s why you’re here. Long story short, peter smuggled her into the tower, and she has spider powers and her fever is really high. We need to cool her down.” Nat said and wanda swallowed and nodded. “Peter?” Nat said turning to the younger parker.
“Yes?” He said looking up from where he had been studying his shoes closely.
“You never answered my question. Is there someone we can call to come and get her dressed after wanda and i bathe her?” Nat asked and peter blushed again and nodded.
“I can call May. It’s her day off.” He said and Nat nodded.
“You do that. Wanda and I will look after Y/n. We promise not to go further than her outer clothes.” She said and scooped you up into her arms. She headed for Peter’s bathroom with wanda trailing behind. You remained limp in her arms snuggled into her chest in an unconscious need for companionship.
Once the two redheads had you in the bathroom wanda looked at nat. “Now what?” She asked and Natasha smirked.
“Now we take her clothes off.” She said and gently she lifted your arms from where you were laid on the floor in her lap and pulled the spider-man t-shirt off over your head. Wanda blushed slightly at the sight of your red sports bra despite having seen Nat and herself train in about the same if not less clothes.
“You wanna help?” Nat asked with a grin that only served to make Wanda’s blush deepen. You squirmed slighting in Nat’s lap but stopped when she gently rubbed your arm after you buried your warm face into her stomach.
Wanda rolled her eyes in an attempt to feign nonchalance despite being way past that point.
She lifted her hands, and the familiar red glow of magic surrounded her hands. Her magic lifted your hips so Nat could slide off your pants. Wanda blushed again at the sight of your Black Widow boxers. Natasha however grinned at them finding it both adorable and very cute.
After a beat Wanda met Nat’s eyes again. “Now what?”
“We get her in the bath. She needs to be cooled down Asap.” Nat said hoisting you into her arms again as you wriggled, turning and grumbling into her chest.
“Not gonna lie she’s pretty cute.” Nat said and Wanda avoided her eyes as she used her magic to fill the bath with tepid water.
Natasha gently lowered you into the tub ignoring your whining protests and running her hands through your hair which seemed to calm you down as you relaxed again.
“So … now we wait?” Wanda guessed and Natasha nodded.
“Yep. Unless you really want to steal May’s job of getting her dressed again.” Nat teased making Wanda splutter slightly. “Im kidding.” Nat said. “I know what hot women do to your brain.” She winked and wanda slouched slightly.
After a second you grumbled and blearily opened your eyes, squinting at the two women.
“Peter is so dead.” You mumbled before letting your eyes drift shut again. There was a pause before wanda and nat both started laughing.
You groaned. “Peter!” You yelled before coughing again making Wanda and Nat frown. But before they could do anything the door opened to show a beat red peter with his hands covering his eyes.
“Yes?” He said in a small voice.
“When I get out of here, you’re dead.” You mumbled with a foggy glare sent in his direction.
“Hey. Peter did the right thing.” Another voice said from behind Peter.
“May?” You called. “Oh, wtf is going on right now.” You mumbled.
“Whats going on kiddo is that, once again, you failed to ask for help which landed you here.” May said entering the bathroom with a change of clothes.
“Nice to see you Ms Parker.” Nat said and wanda echoed.
“Please. Call me May. And thank you for looking after her.” May said and you groaned.
“I hate all of you.” You said hiding your face in your hands.
“Uh huh. Sure, you do.” May teased.
“It was no problem. Ms- May.” Wanda said. “We’ll wait in peters bedroom while you… yeah.” Wanda said before making a hasty retreat. Nat laughed and followed her out.
May gave you a disappointed frown once she had shut the door and turned back to you with a sigh.
“Honey.” She said.
“I know… I know.” You said still feeling like death but slightly less so. “Did the black widow and scarlet witch just really see me in my underpants?” You asked.
“Yes, and I serves you right for hiding illness … again!” She said as she came over, rolling up her sleeves and helping you out, practically holding all your weight for you as your head spun.
May frowned and guided you over to the covered toilet seat to dress you again.
Gently she began to towel you off and change you into fresh clothes.
“I can do it myself.” You whined but May shot you a look and you knew better than to challenge the angry Parker and you and peter had called her as kids when she was upset at you for something.
“Now, once you’re dressed you are going to thank those two for their kindness and your coming home with me.” May said.
“But-“ you began.
“No buts.” She said and helped you up, now fully dressed.
She helped you over to the door opening it despite still holding you up. The two of you shuffled into the room where Peter, Nat and Wanda were sat on Peter’s bed talking in hushed voices.
“Pete. I love you but I can hear everything you’re saying dumbass.” You said rolling your eyes and May lightly hit your arm.
“Right.” He said rubbing his neck. “Super hearing.” He nodded.
“I’ll add it to the list.” Nat grinned and you groaned before May jabbed you in the side and looked at the two girls.
You coughed at her actions making her frown but quickly got it under control for the sake of your already fragile image.
“Thank you, Wanda and Natasha, for helping me.” You said still leaning heavily on May. Now you had been standing for a bit the room began to spin. Your face went a shade paler making Natasha frown and stand. It was a split second before you stumbled, almost bringing May down with you in the process. Luckily strong arms wrapped around you, and you looked up into Nat’s pale green and worried eyes.
“Y/n?” You finally registered she was talking to you. “Y/n?” She asked again a little louder.
You let out a soft groan and she huffed. “Right. Up we go.” She said hoisting you into your arms and making the room spin again as you buried your face in her arm.
You felt her gently set you down on the bed and feel your forehead.
Distantly you heard May saying something along the lines of taking you home and the sound of Natasha arguing they were better equipped to help with your powers and sickness. May relented and you went back to dozing.
“What happened?” Peter asked from where he was stood by the door.
“Probably got too dizzy from standing up. Her body’s already trying to fight off sickness.” Natasha said and Wanda nodded.
“Peter? Don’t you have a super high metabolism?” Wanda asked.
“Yeah?” He said looking lost as May seemed to catch on.
“Y/n when did you last eat?” May asked and you groaned and buried your face in the pillow. “Well, that answers that.” May said rolling her eyes.
“Peter, do you have any of those energy bars that steve uses?” Wanda asked and peter nodded and headed for his bedside drawer.
He fished around and pulled out one of them and passed it to nat. She unwrapped it and shoved it into your hands.
“Eat.” She said and you made a groan of protest. “It’ll help.” She said in a softer tone.
“Fine.” You said sitting up against the headboard and nibbling on it slowly.
“Better.” Nat said and you frowned.
“You know you’re cute when you’re mad.” Wanda said looking surprised by her own words and blushing at Natasha’s knowing gaze.
“Get some rest маленький паук” Nat said once you had finished eating, and she begun to shepherd everyone out of the room.

Better Together
Request by @l0nelyish
Summary: You're going on missions every day for a week, so it's hard to find time to spend with Nat.
Natasha Romanoff x Fem!R
Life is never boring as an Avenger. But sometimes, you wish it was.
You’re walking down the hallway of the Compound, just as Natasha is rounding up the corner. Your girlfriend smiles at you, making you feel like a teenager.
“Hey, gorgeous” she greets, pulling you closer by the waist.
“Hi…” your answer is muffled by her lips, moving softly against yours. You immediately forget what you were about to say next.
“I got us a dinner reservation at that new place. So wear something nice and nothing underneath” Natasha says, kissing you more passionately this time. You have to hold her arms to stay upright.
“I… uh. I think I have a mission today, Nat”
“You think?” Natasha teases, kissing down your neck.
“I’m… oh, God… 99% sure”
“Too bad”
“Tomorrow?” you offer, leaning your head on her shoulder and she smiles.
“Tomorrow”
—
Tomorrow is not any better, as you’re back from the mission at the break of dawn, dragging your feet to the apartment.
Natasha’s not in your room, but either way you’re too dirty to even consider getting in bed. You leave your suit and gear on the floor and hop on the shower, washing away the dirt and feeling relieved when the cold water helps soothe the soreness in your muscles.
You’re in your early thirties but happy to consider retirement. Not everyone on the team is a super soldier or a god.
Once you’re out of the shower, you get in bed, ready to text Natasha. You fall asleep with your phone in your hand and only wake up hours later, a post it stuck to your forehead.
Had to run on a mission with Clint. Be back tomorrow.
Love you.
You sigh, wishing you had stayed up to at least spend some time with Natasha. As you yawn, another post it falls from your forehead and you read it with a smile.
Left you some pasta in the fridge.
—
Protocol would dictate that you have at least a day of rest between missions, but with Tony’s leave to prepare for his wedding, there’s more ground to cover.
Which is why you get a call right as you finish lunch. Natasha, who was resting in one of the rooms after returning late from her mission, is also woken up by FRIDAY.
“At least we’ll go together this time” you say as you both enter the conference room.
“No, you won’t” Maria reminds you and you roll your eyes.
“It was one time”
“Once was enough” Clint mutters, sitting next to his friend. Natasha elbows him and the man chuckles. “It’s not my fault that your girl can’t be quiet. Not that it would change anything, Cap has super hearing”
Steve practically spits out his coffee, turning red.
It was never a good idea to have sex on the Quinjet after a mission. But what were you supposed to do when Natasha beat the shit out of a man that almost killed you? She looked too hot doing it.
“Anyways…” Maria says, sliding folders to the four of you. “Barton and Romanoff, we need you to get us intel on a bio weapon. Once you have the exact location, Rogers and Y/N will retrieve it”
“Can’t Barnes go with Steve?” Natasha crosses her arms, less than excited at the prospect of you handling a lethal substance.
“Does he have a PhD in Microbiology?” Maria asks and you sigh, reaching for Natasha’s hand.
“It will be fine”
“Ok. But we’re free tomorrow, non-negotiable” the redhead says.
“Of course, no missions tomorrow, especially for Y/N” Maria promises, finishing the meeting. You’re about to stand up when you look at her, confused.
“What do you mean, especially me?”
“You’re going to the graduation at SHIELD’s DC academy” she reminds you. “You didn’t forget about it, right? You’re giving the comencement speech and everything”
“I’ll handle the bio weapon and you give the speech” you turn to Steve and he smiles.
“You’ll do fine”
What a week.
It’s only Wednesday.
—
You’ll kill Maria.
She should have mentioned that the speech was followed by a luncheon and then half of DCs politicians looking to have a word with you about their projects for national and international cooperation.
By the time you’re back to the Compound, the sun is setting and all you want to do is find Natasha and go back home.
“They left for a mission. Won’t be back until Friday” Tony says as soon as you enter the kitchen and you sigh.
“I can’t believe I am about to say this but I can’t wait for you to come back, Tony”
“Yeah, I think Pepper is ready too. Apparently, you can actually have too much of me”
“No shit” you sit on a bar stool as he fixes you a drink. “How’s the wedding planning?”
“Well, we are compromising. She agreed to a very big DJ on a massive stage and I agreed to stepping foot on a church. But she says it’s too much to give Aston Martins for the wedding party”
“For the first time in her life, Pepper is wrong”
“So, you’ll still be my best woman?”
“Only if I get that Aston Martin” you raise your glass and Tony smiles.
“I’ll do my best”
—
Friday is impossibly slow, until it isn’t.
“Suit up” Maria says as soon as you pick up the phone.
“Oh, come on. Natasha’s coming back today, Hill”
“Well, the faster you get here the sooner we’ll finish the mission”
“Fine. Tell Fury I’m expecting to get paid extra hours”
“Take it up with payroll” Fury says and you almost drop your phone.
“Shit. I mean, on my way, sir, director Fury, sir”
You’re in such a hurry that you forget to leave a note for your girlfriend. All you can do is hope you two will finally see each other at the end of the day.
—
“We should do the briefing” Bucky says as soon as you land.
“Oh, hell no. It’s Saturday, we’re not clocking extra hours on a weekend, Buck” you say, carrying the stroopwaffles you bought for Nat. “We should have gotten here like three hours ago”
“We did take a detour on Amsterdam to get you those cookies. And you should really get to the medbay” he says, knowing that if you don’t get properly looked at by a doctor, Natasha will make his life hell.
“Fine” you agree, if only because your shoulder is killing you.
In the end, it was dislocated and you have to use an arm sling and rest for the next week and a half. The team is already overworked, and you feel slightly guilty at the idea of not helping for a few days.
Bucky drives you to your apartment, and you’re happy to see Nats home.
“Heeey, sorry. I was supposed to be back yesterday but things got crazy” you greet at the door and Natasha rushes to your side.
“What happened? Are you ok? Why didn’t you call me to pick you up at the Compound?”
“Wow, ok. It’s ok” Natasha’s hands go over every inch of your body, looking for more injuries. You stop them with your own, squeezing the hand that is on your cheek. Green eyes finally connect with yours and you smile. “Hi”
“Stop” Natasha says, rolling her eyes.
“I’m ok. Just a small injury. I’m fine, really”
“I can’t believe I want Tony to be back” she sighs and you laugh.
“That’s what I said”
“What do you have here?” Natasha takes the box from your hand and her eyes light up.
“I know they are your favorite. And all I had to do was promise Bucky no one would make him dance at the wedding”
“I love you”
“I love you too” you say, feeling Natasha’s lips meeting yours in a short and sweet kiss.
“I got you pizza and wine” she says when you break apart.
“Ok, I love you even more now”
Natasha smiles, always happy to hear you say those words.
Insisting on taking care of you, she brings a bunch of pillows to the couch, and once you finish eating, you take the arm sling off, resting against her chest.
“Raining” you mutter, listening to the drops hit against the window. The sound lulls you both, and pretty soon the credits of the movie you’re watching are rolling.
“Bed?” Natasha offers and you nod. Even if you already slept, the jet lag and exhaustion of the week are enough to have you both snoring in record time.
You don’t wake up until the sun is filtering through the blinds, and you rub your eyes. Natasha is still hugging you, her lips tickling your shoulder as she speaks.
“Breakfast?”
“Sure. In a minute” you squeeze her arms, sinking further in her embrace.
In that moment, you realise it’s not a boring life you want.
You want Natasha by your side, no matter if it’s a week full of work or a lazy Sunday morning.
“I love you, Tasha” you say, thinking she’s back to sleep.
You can tell she’s smiling by the way her lips move against your neck.
“Love you too, detka”

Mmm being moved into the tower but Natasha keeping you a secret. It’s still the early days of the avengers but she wants to keep you close. The more awareness the public has of her the more she’s needs to protect you.
You love being able to see her all the time. Getting to hold her everyone night is a privilege you haven’t had before.
Wanda is aware of another mind on the highly restricted floor. She knows Natasha well enough to trust her judgement but eventually she asks to meet you. You project so much love and warmth that she can’t resist. It’s been missing from her life for so long.
Falling in love with you is easy from there. Natasha is reticent but Wanda has held her interest for a while now and having someone else as fiercely protective as her is a comfort.
You adore having your loves so close. You spend every night they aren’t on a mission curled between them. Walking to soft kisses and even softer words. It’s heaven. And it’s so easy to follow their rules. Maybe in another life they feel restrictive. But in this one you only feel safe and loved. You couldn’t wish for anything more.
