Shikamaru can't believe that his own kid, a Nara, isn't anywhere near as intelligent as the rest of his family. If he didn't trust his wife so much he'd suspect that she isn't his, but since she is his daughter, it's up to him to smarten her up a bit.

He's busy with being the Hokage's assistant, so its a huge drag for Shikamaru to have to tutor his daughter, who is more than old enough to teach herself such simple things, so he's not doing it for free, there is something in it for Shikamaru in all of this.

Shikamaru is a stern father despite how lazy and hands off he can be most of the time. He'll force his daughter onto his lap and read out the questions on the worksheet to her, talking in a slow and condescending manner as he does, but Shikamaru is only a man, and it only takes a few minutes for his daughter to start complaining about 'something' poking her.

He can't help but groan as she complains and starts squirming on his lap, yelling at him for being a pervert, she's being a complete drag as usual. But he figures that now is a better time than ever to get his compensation for this tiresome daddy-daughter study session, since she's noticed his prominent arousal.

"Stop complaining, you brat. You're an adult now, and these are just things that us adults have to learn about. Now stay still and let Daddy be your teacher..."

He isn't gonna stop tutoring her just to get his rocks off, that would make him an irresponsible father, instead he's going to kill two birds with one stone. Shikamaru will slide his cock into her while holding her in his lap firmly with his gloved hands. The two of them are home alone, so he won't even have to stifle his moans or be secretive.

He'll groan and pant hotly into her ear, telling her how stressful work has been lately, only for him to have to come home to a dimwitted daughter like her. Although something he didn't anticipate was Temari coming home early, walking right in on the 'tutoring session', but instead of being mad at him, she looks more annoyed at their daughter.

He won't move his cock an inch until she gets the entire worksheet done, while Temari gives her a stern talking to, saying that things wouldn't have to be this way if she'd just wisen up a little. Although Temari looks mad and annoyed, Shikamaru knows his wife better than anyone, he can tell that she's getting turned on too.

Once their little study session is finally one, Shikamaru will let his daughter know how proud her daddy is of her, while Temari will still lecture her a bit, although speaking a lot more softly this time as she rubs her growing wetness through her panties, making it clear that she wants some time with their daughter too.

"Well it looks like you were being enough of a blockhead to force your father into taking drastic measures. Now it's time for Mama to teach you a lesson too..."

Shikamaru finds girls to be nothing but trouble, so him being the father of one is a complete drag for him, but he's able to look on the bright side of things, even if she isn't very smart, he's finally found something that she's good at, something that he and Temari will get a lot of enjoyment out of.

Weird Wednesday Headcanon: Outside of Team 7, Neji, Shikamaru and Kiba sympathize the most with Sasuke's fall from grace after the Five Kage Summit.

Alright, this is another headcanon of mine that can be written off as "mental", but hear me out, this has so much potential.

I'd like to think that, outside of Team 7, Sasuke wasn't just closely acquainted with Naruto, Sakura or Kakashi, but also:

Neji (whom we even got a small teaser hint of a rivalry between him and Sasuke for, which sadly, never came to be, because Byakugan VS Sharingan is a question in the community, that truly needs answering)

Shikamaru (shogi rivals, nuff' said, the only guy, that managed to corner Shikamaru at his own game, I mean, Sasuke is meant to be a genius too, so, why not?)

Kiba (just being around him, Sasuke's IQ just automatically decreases, but in a fun way, like Renji and Uryu from Bleach, considering, Kiba had lived most of his life, surrounded by moody, dominating women, and he might be Sasuke's "stay-in wingman", when it comes to Sakura, or they would just talk about how tiring women can be, but they do manage to get best results out of you with their motivation, and he would be way easier to handle for Sasuke, because unlike Naruto, Kiba ain't braindead)

These are the three main players, but if you want, you can also put Choji and Rock Lee into the mix, considering that, later down the road, Sasuke's and Choji's daughter would end up becoming besties, and if Might Guy wouldn't survive the war, he and Lee can become the new Kakashi and Might Guy, the next generation, if you will. And this is ironic, because...

...just by coincidence, who else was sent to get Sasuke back, to prevent him from defecting to Orochimaru? Ah yes.

But now, I get to the meat and bones of this thread. And that being, the reason why I believe personally, it was a wasted opportunity to not give Sasuke more personal allies that sympathize with his actions, after he joined the Akatsuki.

Like, NO ONE can tell me, that the Uchiha weren't the only ones, who were under close observation within Konoha borders, by the elders. Sure, they were the biggest target, but it leaves you asking, especially in regards to those clans, who are either the strategist faction, or possess sensory type abilities: What about them? Wouldn't they suspect that something was going horribly wrong over there, at the Uchiha compound? Did absolutely NO ONE hear the screams, or blood splatters? I am just not sold on the idea that EVERYONE in Konoha blindly agreed to Tobirama's discriminatory policies, some had to know better than most. The select few, who weren't exactly fans of just distancing themselves from another clan, all because some frankly racist piece of garbage for a Hokage said so, along with the useless shitstains, that are the Konoha elders, especially Danzo.

And now, three people come to mind, where I truly felt like, they could have been there that night, when the Uchiha clan was being slaughtered, and they were either too late to stop it, or Itachi had knocked them out with his Genjutsu (which purposely contradicts Madara's propaganda about "no one in the village cared about the Uchiha, and only saw them as tools"). And ironically, they are probably the very select few of the adult shinobi, who weren't complete sub-human trash.

Hizashi Hyuga.

Shikaku Nara.

Tsume Inuzuka.

Just picture these three adults being the only ones, who caught on to what was happening, through not just the screams of terror, the smell of blood, or seeing through the walls with the Byakugan from Hizashi. But sadly, by the time they arrive, most of the Uchiha were already slaughtered. And right before they could even act to evacuate those, who may have survived, Itachi arrives, and knocks them clean out with his Tsukuyomi, not killing them, as their passing would just cause an uproar throughout the village, the following day.

And once Danzo learns, that three non-Uchiha, Leaf shinobi, were actually present that night, and they may or may not have caught a glimpse of who else was there that night, Hizashi, Shikaku and Tsume were forced to stay silent on the matter, as Danzo threatened them, through the lense of the ROOT Anbu:

"Dare to let a single word about last night's events slip, then your clans will be receiving severe repurcussions."

I mean, sure, it's kind of silly to try and silence three unrelated Leaf ninja into keeping silent, but considering how paranoid the elderly can be, especially Danzo, I wouldn't put it past him to actually go there.

And how convenient, because as the story progressed, two of these adults would wind up deceased. Shikaku died in the 4th Great Ninja war. One piece of the puzzle, gone.

Hizashi would actually be the first one to die, before all two of them, because the Hyuga clan was trying to mend their security blunder that one fateful night, when someone from Kumogakure tried to kidnap Hinata. But keeping in mind everything I just said, it just adds another layer to how corrupt this shinobi system truly is. Who is to say, Danzo basically bribed the Hyuga elders to sacrifice Hizashi, in place of Hiashi, because he couldn't possibly risk that one defiant Hyuga showing lip to the Hokage? Something to think about. Even if Hiruzen remains a useless piece of shit. You can never be TOO careful, right?

Tsume would probably be the only adult to keep on living, to tell the tale, and through her, does Kiba learn, how deep the rabbit hole with Danzo actually goes, and how Sasuke's hatred for the village MIGHT be """mildly""" justified. Especially if Neji and Shikamaru were to approach him about their own clan blunders, involving Danzo, right after his passing at the hands of Sasuke.

But especially Neji, man... If everything I said gets applied in practice, it would mean, outside of Naruto, he might also be considered worthy of facing Sasuke in battle, after the Five Kage Summit. Because, not only does he more than understand how it truly feels to lose family and loved ones, but also, how this entire shinobi system is essentially screwing over those, who were unfortunate enough to be born into families, that get treated like dirt by the government, that is supposed to protect them. Just imagine their exchange, while Kiba faces off against Jugo, and Shikamaru holds Suigetsu at bay.

"A slave to your own family... I really don't need another moral lecture from a man, who willingly decided to stick to his own kin, despite them viewing you as nothing short of cannonfodder. And yet, despite it all, you still side with them... Run, Neji. Run and hide with your insignificant existence weighing you down, before I tear you to pieces." --Sasuke

"No, Sasuke. You're wrong. If it's any consolation, I am more than able to sympathize with your current state of mind. As of recently, I had to learn the hard way, that you and I, at the end of the day, are not so different. Believe me, you're not the only one, who was royally screwed over by the same village that you once swore to protect. Pretty epic, isn't it? I am sorry, Neji is just the GOAT to me, and anything to make him and Sasuke spiritual broskies, I am here for that. Just visualize how adrenaline-driven their encounter would end up being, if you add the Bankakyo Byakugan into the mix. This is how Neji's Bankakyo would look like (source by Aleister Brown):

And for context on what this eye gives Neji for busted abilities, which make him a more or less equal match to Sasuke, after he got Itachi's eyes implanted:

Left eye: Foresight (he can look 10 seconds into the future, to predict Sasuke's moves, before he could even pull them off)

Right eye: Timeskip (improves his Taijutsu, by basically freezing time all around himself, and teleporting, at anything his eyes can see for time)

And, to make it even, with the Bankakyo, you can even summon a chakra avatar, similar to the Susano'o called, Sarutakahiko, take a look:

...and to end this thread on a more comical note, when I said, Sasuke's IQ lowers around Kiba, and I compared the two to Renji and Uryu, here is why. It's even more ironic when you consider, Uryu and Sasuke have the same seiyuu! Noriaki Sugiyama! Check it:

Indra

He does not speak immediately. Simply watches, unreadable, as if the very existence of such a child is beneath his notice. But the tension in the room shifts, thickening like a storm cloud, warning of violence not yet spoken.

To inherit his blood should have been an honor, an extension of his own power, his own will. Instead, the child carries an affliction, their blood, a mockery in human form.

His silence is deliberate, an executioner’s pause before the blade descends. He has no need for raised voices or declarations of anger. His presence alone bends the air around him, pressing down with an authority that does not need to be spoken to be understood.

When he finally speaks, it is quiet, but there is a weight behind it that cracks the bones of those who listen. -Disgraceful.-

It is not a word flung in anger, but one delivered with absolute certainty, as if it is a fundamental truth of the world. The child is an offense, a wound upon his legacy, not by their own doing, but by the weakness of those before them.

Indra does not dwell on things unworthy of his time. He does not rant, does not lash out with wasted energy. The child exists, and that is already too much.

Madara

Finds the child interesting.

His lips curl, not quite a smile, but something close, something sharp with intrigue. Power, real power, is born from conflict, from the struggle of opposing forces. And what greater struggle could exist than the one woven into this child’s very bones? The Uchiha and the Nara, collision of fire and shadow, of eyes that see everything and minds that think ten steps ahead.

He sees the potential. Potential. It is a rare thing, and Madara respects it above all else.

Still, he watches with caution. Power without control is worthless. If this child cannot master the war within their own blood, then they are of no use to him. But if they can, if they harness it, wield it like a blade... then they are something entirely new. A force unseen before.

And Madara is always interested in forces that have never existed before.

Izuna

Doesn’t give a fuck.

-The kid?- He scoffs, running a hand through his wild hair, eyes half-lidded with boredom. -Let ‘em live, let ‘em die, let ‘em do whatever the fuck they want.-

To him, this is not an issue of legacy, power, or betrayal. It’s not his problem. The kid is alive? Great. The kid is dead? Not his concern. He has no patience for the dramatics of lineage wars and ancient grudges. His own blood is enough of a headache; he’s not about to start worrying over some half-Uchiha kid carrying Nara shadows in their veins.

But, if they prove useful? If they can actually fight and keep up? Well, maybe they’ll earn a nod of respect. Maybe.

Until then, they’re just another person walking around, and Izuna has better things to do than dwell on them.

Obito

Obito feels sorry for them.

He watches from a distance, hands in his pockets, shoulders tense with something that is not quite sadness, but close. He knows what it’s like; to be different, to stand at the edge of your own people, never fully belonging.

This kid… they’re doomed from the start. Uchiha do not forgive. They do not forget. A half-blood? They will never be seen as enough, not Uchiha enough, not Nara enough. Not anything enough.

He clenches his fists.

He wonders if they know. If they can feel it, that slow suffocation of being born into a fate that was already decided before they even took their first breath. If they understand what kind of burden their own existence will be.

And he wonders if they will survive it.

Shisui

Shisui makes it his mission to protect them.

Because someone has to. Because he sees the way people look at the kid, the whispered words, the wary glances, the thinly veiled hostility. He sees the way even their own kin hesitate before speaking their name, as if saying it aloud will somehow taint them.

And he can’t stand it.

So he steps in. He walks beside them, trains them, laughs with them. He makes sure they know that they are not alone. That no matter what anyone else says, they have a place; because he will carve one out for them if he has to.

The clan can say whatever they want. Indra can glower from his throne. Madara can scheme, Obito can pity, and Itachi can stay silent.

None of it matters. Because as long as Shisui is alive, this kid will have someone.

And he will fight to make sure they know that.

Itachi

Itachi does not get involved.

Because he already knows how this ends.

The path has already been laid. The whispers of the past are too loud, the shadows of history too heavy. The child will struggle, will fight, will try to carve out their place between two worlds that were never meant to mix.

But in the end… the Uchiha do not forget. And the Nara do not forgive.

He sees it in the way the elders speak of them. In the way Indra does not even acknowledge their existence beyond silent judgment. In the way Madara watches with intrigue, as if weighing whether they are worth keeping alive.

Itachi has spent his life watching inevitable tragedies unfold.

And so, he does not interfere.

Because this, too, is a fate already written.

Ya'll loved my other writing it was so sweet! Thank you, truly. Here's another Naruto thingy I wrote a couple of years ago, I'm really not sure if I'll ever do anything with em so please feel free to message me about em if you liked to write more for it!

Hotaru took deep, calming, breaths as she glanced around at all the clan heads, even the fucking Hokage was here. She wiped her sweaty hands on her pants, a tic quickly caught by the other occupants in the room.

  "Tanaka Hotaru, do you know why you've been called to this meeting?" A middle aged man speaks up, a Nara by the looks of it, his face is relaxed and neutral but his eyes are assessing constantly taking in every fleeting emotion that crosses her face. She nods slowly, gulping as she rubs her hands together, god she felt like she was gonna pass out. 

 "Am...am I in trouble?" She mumbled quietly, mind racing on if this was gonna end badly for her. Was there some secret clan law that civilians couldn't possess kekkei genkai? Are they gonna make her become a shinobi? She can't fight to save her life, let alone anyone else's! Wait- Would they remove her eyes and give her new ones instead? Oh god. She liked her eyes. Thank you very much!

 "No, you're not in trouble. But there are some things to sort out, which is also why we had you do blood tests before this. You possess a highly powerful kekkei genkai, 'The Sharingan.'" The Nara from before answered, pausing for a moment as he watched her reaction before moving on. "It shows you have Uchiha blood on your mother's side. And from some miracle you have awakened your sharingan. You understand how rare this is, don't you?" Nara asked seriously, looking her right in the eyes. Hotaru nodded, because she really did. It was rare for a civilian ever to awaken a kekkei genkai because of the lack of training. So when she glared at them with anger, bright green eyes seeping into a blood red, the shocked looks she got in response was expected. 

  "So...what does this mean for me?" Hotaru spoke louder this time, gaining some reign of her spiked anxiety. This time, it was an Uchiha woman who spoke up. 

 "You will be offered a spot in the clan and if you wish, will be taught to wield the sharingan. 

  Ah. She stared for a moment longer before shaking her head.

 "No. Thank You."

Nara twins reincarnated as the Kagari twins au

Shikako being extremely unsettling to those around her and to the Luna Nova characters because ven if she did manage to resist most of it she was still socially conditioned to be a child soldier along with her brother.

Shikamaru being the same level of unsettling to the Appleton boys and because of this they won't say anything about her sister being at Luna Nova because he genuinely freaks out so many of the people their.

Both twins having the exact same level of IQ of over 200 and applying in different ways.

Shikamaru/Atsushi is creative and strategic using his genius in political and diplomatic or business scenarios and learning to grasp onto the social structures of this new society and using it to his advantage in different ways. Shikamaru is the better communicator despite how lazy and grumpy he is and is better at handling social situations without getting put on governmental watchlists for saying the wrong thing.

Shikako/Akko is better at handling the more dangerous things the pair get into having been able to write up several theories on how this new worlds magic work and having been able to recreate a few of her old jutsu and seals using an artificial wand and magic while at the same time being able to see the hidden potential of these girls and helping them emotionally and unintentionally establishing important connections. She's not good in social situations because of her paranoia and just in general being awkward and thinking she can pull off the innocent inconspicuous look like she did when she was a little kid.

Both twins being socially, emotionally and logically smart and strategic/tactical with and without eachother and their personalities making it seem like their just reading the others mind with just a look or gesture.

The twins being unnerving geniuses to everyone they meet.
