A Spar Between Brothers.

Kotaro and Stinger were in the training room, sparring against each other.

A/N: The instructors mentioned here are the family names of the suit actors in the current and previous Super Sentai series, specifically, suit actors of the characters who wield spears.

The idea of using the suit actors as Kotaro's teachers from Rebellion came from the spin off title that came with Episode Stinger, High School Wars, specifically episode 5, where it's revealed who were some of Kotaro's teachers.

It was one of the rarer missions where Kotaro and Stinger weren't deployed at the same time.

This time, Lucky, Hammie, Raptor, Balance, and Naga were deployed onto the planet in the Tenbin system with Tsurugi coming along anyway.

The other Kyurangers who weren't deployed were also busy doing stuff on their own: Champ was busy lifting weights; Spada was busy cooking; while Commander Shou and Garu monitored Lucky's team's progress on their deployment from within the bridge.

Stinger and Kotaro were in the most spacious training area inside the Orion Battleship. There were more training rooms, and some of the rooms were quite spacious compared to Orion Gou's.

Stinger and Kotaro were sparring with each other using light-weight spears, as a precaution not to injure the other person.

"I asked the commander on what weapons you were trained at the HQ, he failed to list spears." Stinger commented as he wiped the sweat off his forehead.

"I mean, I have three teachers who taught me how to use spears," Kotaro admitted. "I kinda barely passed Sato-sensei's and Murakami-sensei's lessons and thrived in Imai-sensei's instructions."

"Why did you have some difficulty from their teachings?"

"It's the way I hold the spear," Kotaro raised his light-spear. "Our spears are kinda held in the middle of the shaft, closer to the head, while they hold theirs at the far end." He gave his reason as he removed his coat and grabbed some towels to wipe his sweat. "But I was still able to manage to perform adequately with their ways of holding their spears."

"The way they hold their spears simply did not match yours," Stinger nodded. "How about you show me what you learned with the sword." Stinger grabbed two shinais and tossed one towards his sparring partner. "Lucky and Spada said you were great at handling a sword."

"I don't know about a real sword, or even the Kyusword, as I haven't tried them yet, but yeah, I did kinda show off what I learned against that Kochoindabe, using a shinai."

"Let's see what you're made off, then." Stinger got into his fighting stance.

"As long as you don't go easy on me." Kotaro got into his fighting stance.

A few moments later both Kyurangers engaged in a sword fight as Lucky and the others returned from their mission.

Why

Why is Luckyuro a "boy" if the actress in the suit is a woman, and the voice is from a girl too? Why why why why. I men, I don't really know, but IT should be a SHE.
