Note
Oh definitely the second option.
They would range from Nagi to Susano in personality and competence I imagine.
actually then Groose gets the hero's spirit and has kids with Sun and all the reincarnations are named Groose, have red hair, and big attitudes
Link? Who's Link?
That. That would be... huh. wow.
that would sure be... something

Question, would anyone be interested in me making a guide on how to draw stuff in the Okami style? I’m still working on learning it myself, but you know the thing about how the best way to learn something is to teach it; and if anyone has any specific questions, it’ll help me focus on what to start with, as opposed to “uhh, anything and everything”.
One thing I can say, without needing visual reference to explain, is that “spirals” are connected with the more divine characters; on all the deities, Sakuya, and to a lesser extent Susano and Nagi. Aside from them, looking through the artbook, there’s only three other instances I saw of a spiral motif on characters: a symbol on some of the poncles; the hair of those runner guys, for some reason; and on the Nine-Tailed Fox, but in that case it wasn’t a “normal” spiral with curves, but rather one with sharp corners, which fits quite nicely as a bit of symbolism.
There’s also some stuff about “line width”, or techniques to create that effect, but I don’t know frick about that, so I wouldn’t be mentioning it.
