When it comes to wading birds, it's always worth looking through the crowds - here a few golden plovers have mingled with the lapwings (unfortunately far away)

There are lots of cool creatures to be seen here in winter. Goosanders are also here in summer, but in winter many more come from northern regions.

Wading birds are a special attraction during the migratory bird season. It is always worth taking a close look, as some of them are very small. However, when many small birds come together, they cannot be overlooked.

I visited the barnacle geese again today. Most of the geese will soon be leaving for their breeding grounds in northern Europe.
